Episode # 11186 ~ Nick & Chelsea's plan backfires; Reed flirts with Mattie; Kevin loses his cool.

Provided By Suzanne

Kevin: How could you show your face here after what you did?

Chelsea: Kevin, please... Nick is only here --

Kevin: You were relentless, tracking her down like she was some kind of animal because you had to make her pay? She was so scared about what you were gonna do that she killed herself! You did this, nick! It's your fault chloe's dead!

Michael: Kevin! Kevin, no! Kevin, stop it!

Kevin: Why did you come here? Due diligence to make sure she's really in that coffin? Because she is. Esther's daughter, bella's mother, the woman I loved is dead because you wouldn't leave her alone!

Nick: Kevin, you got this all wrong, all right? I feel terrible for you.

Kevin: You have no idea how i feel, and don't try and convince me that you gave a damn about chloe. She's exactly where you wanted her. Both of you. You did this together!

Hilary: Here you go.

Juliet: Thank you.

Hilary: You're welcome. What's the matter? You had such a great attitude about everything earlier.

Juliet: Nothing's changed.

Hilary: Okay, I hope so. Because you have no reason to be having second thoughts.

Juliet: No, I'm not. I'm not. I know you were right, and I'm okay. It's just -- now that we've pulled the trigger...

Hilary: Juliet. You refused to be a scapegoat, and you fought back. And, right now, your power move is knocking some very selfish people at brash & sassy! On their trust-fund behinds.

Juliet: I just hope it works in my favor.

Hilary: They're the ones who have something to be nervous about. Not you.

Cane: So, what is the hurry, ms. Brand ambassador?

Lily: Well, my diplomatic duties, of course, and then i have to go home and try and get the nacho stains out of charlie's lacrosse uniform.

Cane: Hang on a second. Wait. You're leaving me for laundry?

Lily: Well, this is a workplace, my love.

Cane: Oh, but trust me, work is highly overrated.

Billy: Sexual harassment? So, juliet lost her job and her mind?

Victoria: I need to read the entire document. I don't understand why juliet would do something like this.

Billy: Why? Because she wants money.

Victoria: Yes, but sexual harassment? I mean, that's a reach.

Billy: Well, she must know that wrongful termination wouldn't stick, so this is her next weapon.

Victoria: I gave that woman a very nice severance package, and I told her I would give her a glowing recommendation, and this is how she thanks me?

Billy: You're gonna have to fight this, you know.

Victoria: Of course we're gonna fight this! I just don't know who to be more disgusted with -- juliet for this ridiculous act of revenge, or me for hiring her.

Billy: I just saw her! I mean, there was no hint of this, no drama whatsoever. She was professional. I mean, she was crushed, but there was no resentment about it.

Victoria: Well, that makes sense, because we now know that she's a huge liar. Unless there's something to this.

Billy: Oh, yeah, there's something to this. She wants money. We both know that.

Victoria: Well, I guess she wasn't as magnanimous as she wanted you to believe.

Reed: Doo, doo, doo-doo-doo, doo

doo, doo, doo, doo-doo

doo, doo, doo-doo-doo, doo

doo, doo, doo

[ Humming ]

[ Sighs ] Oh, hey! It's you again.

[ Chuckles ]

Mattie: Yep. Guilty. You got me. But it's not like I'm following you around, or anything.

Reed: Um, I hope I'm not bothering you, playing guitar.

Mattie: Oh, no. Not at all. Um, I like that song, by the way.

Reed: Thanks. So did the nice old man who dropped a coin into the coffee I just got.

Mattie: [ Chuckles ] Really? Gross.

Reed: [ Sighs ] Yeah, and it was a dollar, too, so I burned my fingers fishing it out.

[ Chuckles ]

Mattie: Wow, I've actually never seen one of those.

Reed: Really? Well, you can have it if you want.

Mattie: Really?

Reed: Yeah.

Mattie: Thanks.

Reed: Of course.

Mattie: So, did you write that song?

Reed: Yeah, it's actually kind of a work-in-progress type of thing right now.

Mattie: So, no lyrics yet?

Reed: That's why I'm out here. I figured something would come. I've been trying to write something about waiting to drive my little brother and sister home from their class, but the problem is, I can't think of anything that rhymes with "kickboxinG."

Mattie: Detoxing.

Reed: Yeah.

Mattie: 'Cause that's so lyrical.

[ Chuckles ] Never mind.

Reed: It's cool! I could probably make it work.

Mattie: Wow, a notebook, like all the famous songwriters. So, music's obviously your thing?

Reed: Yeah, it's my one and only. What's your thing?

Billy: Does it mention me, vick? Is that about me?

Victoria: It's not about you!

Billy: Okay, well, that's a small plus. So, who, then?

Victoria: Just let me handle this, okay? I need to speak to each staff member separately, and I'll save you for last, and then we can discuss it in detail.

[ Cellphone rings ]

Billy: Okay. I'll let you get started.

Victoria: Oh, shoot. Victoria newman. Who? Barry strick-- oh! Oh, yes. Lily's agent. Hi. Uh... listen, I really don't have time for this right now, I -- yes, she is exclusive to brash & sassy! For modeling. "Loosening the terms of her contract?" Oh, really? Hmm. Okay. How about this? How about I call you if this suddenly becomes a priority? Sound good? Oh, all right. Thank you. Goodbye.

[ Sighs ] Cane and lily...

Lily: Hi.

Cane: Hey.

Victoria: Uh, we need to have a chat about a couple of things, okay?

Cane: Sure.

Todd: Excuse me, if I could have everyone's attention once again... I would like to remind you of where we are and why we're here today. And refrain from words or actions that would dishonor chloe's memory in any way. Not one of us is free from sin. Whatever any of you feel chloe's may have been, I hope -- I hope we can all agree that her little girl bella is blameless. Losing her mother is tragic enough. Let's not mar her memory of today with the confusing and frightening behavior of the adults in her life.

Nick: Look, kevin, uh, I'll take off. I just wanted to tell you how deeply sorry I am for your loss.

Chelsea: I know you're in an extreme amount of pain, but i hope that one day, you'll understand nick and I are not responsible for what happened to her. I won't try to convince you today.

Gloria: I think that's probably for the best.

Chelsea: I care about you, kevin, and I know how much you loved chloe. My heart breaks for you.

Paul: Hi. Sorry I'm late.

Scott: Hey.

Paul: Is everything okay?

Kevin: [ Clears throat ] It is now. It's time to say goodbye.

Reed: When you said schoolwork was your thing, you really weren't kidding.

Mattie: Can you leave those alone, please? Sorry, I just don't want to lose any of my notes.

Reed: It's fine. I get it.

[ Exhales sharply ] Those are some really advanced classes. I mean, if somebody's got their thing, it's nice to be good at it. But I got to ask -- how do you manage a course load like that?

Mattie: By coming to coffee shops to avoid distractions.

Reed: That's a good one. I see what you did there. Does it happen to leave you with any free time?

Mattie: I mean, I'm not chained to my laptop, but I do like reading. Why do you ask?

Reed: Well, I'm performing at the open mic night later at the underground...

Mattie: Is that so?

Reed: Yeah, and it's all ages, the open mic, so if you wanted to swing by...

Mattie: Oh, uh, thanks for the invite, but...

Reed: No, I -- don't worry about it. I totally get it. It's no big deal.

Mattie: Oh, my gosh. I can't believe it's gotten this late. I have to go. Um, good luck with the lyrics.

Reed: Yes, I guess I'll see you around. Don't forget your dollar.

Mattie: Oh, yeah. Thanks.

[ Both laugh ] Bye.

Reed: See ya.

Mattie: Um, and by the way, "outfoxing" rhymes with "kickboxing," and it's probably more appropriate than "detoxing."

Reed: Wow. Yeah. Thank you.

Mattie: Anytime.

Hilary: So, how do you like your lawyer?

Juliet: Leslie will fight hard for me. Thank you for asking her to take my case.

Hilary: Yeah, of course. And she will not be intimidated. She will win this, juliet. Which means that you will win. And it will be a victory for all women who have been sexually harassed. You just need to stay strong.

Juliet: I'll follow your example.

Hilary: Eh...

Juliet: You've been so great since the moment brash & sassy! Fired me. It makes me feel a little guilty.

Hilary: About what?

Juliet: Not trusting you at first. When you told me you knew what happened with cane, I was convinced you were up to something, like you were gonna throw me under the bus, but you have been my only real support. So thanks.

Hilary: Don't even mention it. I'm glad that you took my advice to file the suit. Now you will get justice for everything that you've been through.

Juliet: This seems so personal. Did something like this happen to you?

Hilary: Luckily, no, um, but I've done a lot of research, and this is how I see it -- cane used his position as your boss to get you to have sex with him in japan in exchange for his support in your career advancements. You gave him what he wanted, and when he got back home, he got you the job at brash & sassy!

Juliet: Actually, victoria is the one who offered me the job as marketing executive.

Hilary: With cane's strong recommendation. He was instrumental in getting you that position. And then, when you were unceremoniously fired for mistakes that were not your own, where was cane?

Juliet: Urging me to move back to tokyo.

Hilary: Exactly.

Juliet: Hmm. You think I have a strong case?

Hilary: Strong. And explosive.

Juliet: Mm, I just hope the judge and/or jury sees it that way. They might focus on the extenuating circumstances.

Hilary: What, you mean the sake? The fact that you guys were both drunk? That doesn't excuse what cane did. Cane was your superior. He was in control of your future in the company.

Juliet: So, even though he was super-drunk and barely able to walk, he had all of the power?

Hilary: Exactly. That's what this disgusting form of bullying is. It's a power trip with sexual coercion thrown in as a perk.

Juliet: Cane doesn't really fit that profile.

Hilary: No? Because he was so drunk that he couldn't walk, but he wasn't too blotto for sex a little later, now, was he?

Juliet: I just can't stop thinking about what this is gonna do to lily.

Hilary: You barely even know the woman. You just met her recently. But you show more concern for her than her own husband did on his last night, on his high-stakes business trip. Lily was the last thing on cane's mind.

Victoria: I'm not sure how your agent ended up with my private number, lily, but I'm sure he just wanted to cut to the chase and speak to the one person that could grant his request.

Cane: Okay, and what request was that?

Lily: I have no idea. I didn't ask for anything.

Victoria: Okay, we'll go with that.

Cane: Uh, well, it actually happens to be the truth.

Victoria: So, it was barry who decided we should, and i quote, "open up the terms of lily's contract to include other modeling work?"

Lily: What? I was never consulted about any of that. I'm sorry that he bothered you.

Cane: Listen, you've done nothing wrong, okay? Look, it seems to me that ever since we got to L.A., There's been nothing but miscommunication, all right?

Lily: You know what, I'm gonna text barry to call us and clarify his part in this.

Cane: Okay. All right.

Todd: I needed to be here today to ease the pain and loss that comes with grief, a loss complicated by the difficult life that chloe led. Each of us is struggling with mixed emotions, trying to reconcile ourselves to a life cut short and one that, given time, might have been turned around. Who amongst us has not struggled, asked for compassion, and found it lacking? What we can do to honor chloe is to look after the people in our lives, to keep an eye out for times when they seem to be challenged, when they're most in need. Then we can give them the help that we all wish chloe had had. Love each other despite our differences. That's the message I hope we can all take from today. It's what should always guide us. Kevin has asked to say a few words.

Gloria: Kevin. You don't have to do this.

Kevin: I do, mom. It's okay. Goodbye, chloe. There are people who made up their minds about you. They think they knew you, understood you... they were wrong. I knew you. I loved you.

[ Sniffles ] And that's why I'm here today. To tell the truth about who you were at your core. The world threw things at you that nobody should have to endure, and you did your best to stand up to all of it. That's -- that's what's important here, that's what everybody seems to forget. That if your beautiful soul couldn't handle it, it wasn't your fault. Nobody tried harder.

[ Scoffs ] How do I know all this? It's easy. The proof was in front of all of our faces. All you had to do was look at chloe to see all the love in her heart. The unlimited love that she had for her mother... for delia...

[ Exhales sharply ] For bella... ...and for me. And that love... that's what defined chloe. You're with delia now. You always belonged together.

[ Sniffles ] And I know that you're gonna miss bella, but I promise you -- I will take care of her until my very last breath, and she's gonna miss you, too. But I'll make sure she knows. She's gonna understand who you were.

[ Sniffling ]

Chelsea: [ Sighs ] How do you think it's going over there?

Nick: I don't know. How do you think it's going?

Chelsea: Are you mad at me?

Nick: Why would I be mad at you?

Chelsea: Because I made you go with me.

Nick: Chelsea, come on. I made that decision on my own. And I certainly understand why you felt like you needed to be there.

Chelsea: You tried to warn me. You said that it was gonna be a disaster, and -- oh, boy! You were right!

Nick: It's just too soon for kevin, you know? He's struggling and he's probably gonna be for a while. It's a hell of a thing to come back from. We both know that. All right, uh, I should probably go and spend some time with christian.

Chelsea: Yeah, me, too. I actually have to pick connor up. Can't exploit the kindness of nannies.

Nick: You know, it's been a while since we got the boys together.

Chelsea: Yeah, we should do that. Sometime soon. It will help make things feel normal again.

Nick: Normal. I dig it. How about later today?

Hilary: Now, from what I've read, your case needs to encompass more than just the act of sex.

Juliet: Before that night, cane and I had just started working together. I'm not sure how much more there could be.

Hilary: Quite a bit, according to what you told me. Starting with the way that cane took advantage of you being a woman to land the deal. He used you. You were his sexy subordinate that he could show off to local businessmen. You think if you were a man he would have given you such a prominent role with something so major?

Juliet: Well, not if his endless competition with billy abbott is any indication.

Hilary: And then when the deal was brokered, what did you become? Arm candy for a night of bar-hopping and sake bombs? I know that it may have seemed harmless and mutual at first, but you need to ask yourself this -- were you ever in a position where you could say no to any of it?

Juliet: Well, actually, no. Not really.

Hilary: Not if you wanted cane to endorse you at brash & sassy! See, everything that we laid out? That is your whole case.

Juliet: Right. I am standing up for myself.

Hilary: Yes, you are, and do it with pride. That is my best advice. Now, for the most crucial part, you cannot let anyone intimidate you.

Lily: I texted barry to call us.

Cane: All right, listen, before barry called you, lily said to me that all she wants to do is work here. He proposed he could find her other work within the scope of the contract, and she said no 'cause all she wants to do is focus on our family and this job. That's it.

Victoria: Is that true?

Lily: Absolutely. I am loyal to you and this company.

Cane: Okay, so, it's obvious barry went around her to force your hand.

Victoria: All right. I guess that's plausible.

Cane: No, no, no. That is what happened, okay?

Victoria: Okay, look, i accept your side of the story, and I'm sorry that I went so ballistic. I've just been under a lot of stress lately, and I could just see another headache coming my way.

Lily: No, I get it given the last few weeks. And when barry calls, I will tell him I no longer need his representation. I hope that puts an end to any drama.

Victoria: Thank you. Then we can consider this chapter closed.

Lily: Good. I'm sorry if I caused any problems.

Cane: Hey, you didn't cause any problems, okay? You didn'T.

Lily: I'm gonna head home. Are you coming with?

Cane: Yeah, yeah. Sure.

Victoria: Cane, actually, i need to go over something with you.

Cane: All right. I'm gonna deal with this, and then i'll be home, all right? I love you.

Lily: Bye.

Cane: All right. Bye.

[ Sighs ] Well, I'm glad we got that resolved. Okay, what is it you wanted to go over with me?

Victoria: This. We're being sued by juliet.

"The young and the restless"

will continue.

Billy: Hey, man. It's been a while. How you been? You getting a little practice in

al fresco, huh? It's a nice day for it.

Reed: Yeah. It was.

Billy: Reed. Hey, come on. Reed! Really? Is this the way it's gonna be with us? Look, I get that you're still upset about phyllis and me. I understand that. But we used to be able to talk about anything and still be cool. I'm hoping "anything" includes the times -- those rare times -- that you were actually pissed off at me.

Reed: So, you understand that I would be about that?

Billy: Of course I do. It's your house, victoria's your mother, and you have a right to feel any way you want.

Reed: Thanks, I guess.

Billy: I got to ask, would you have gotten that mad at me that night if zoey hadn't pulled what she did?

Reed: I don't know, probably not, but I don't even want to waste another second thinking about zoey. It's so done with her.

Billy: Could it be somebody else has taken her place?

Reed: Well, there -- there is this one girl that... I don't know, I've only run into her, like, twice, but she's really interesting, and she's not stuck up or a suck-up like zoey was.

Billy: Not stuck up or a suck-up. Sounds like she's already inspiring lyrics.

Reed: I don't know. I think I actually might have scared her away today.

Lily: So, your dad and i smoothed everything over with victoria. It's all fine, but still kind of like being called to the principal's office, which -- knock on wood -- you have yet to experience.

Mattie: Yeah. I've heard stories from charlie.

Lily: [ Scoffs ] I'm sure. So, how was school?

Mattie: Oh, you know, fine.

Lily: Yeah? I bet you're happy school's out next week, right?

Mattie: Nice try, mom, but i plan on taking a couple of summer classes.

Lily: Honey, I wish that you would try and have some fun. I love that you love studying and getting good grades, but i think you should go out every once in a while.

Mattie: I know. Um, actually, I was thinking about maybe going to the underground tonight to listen to some live music. Would that be okay?

Lily: Since when do you go to clubs?

Mattie: It's all ages. It's no big deal.

Lily: Oh! Are you going there to hear someone special?

Mattie: No! Of course not. I'm just trying something new. Like you say, I need to take a break or two.

Lily: Okay. Is someone meeting you there?

Mattie: Mom, what's with the interrogation?

Lily: Well, I know you don't want to go to a club alone. I'm wondering if a boy is meeting you.

Mattie: This isn't a boy thing. I just want to go out and hang. What's wrong with that?

Lily: Nothing! Nothing. Have fun "hanging."

Victoria: Yes, my marketing department will follow up. All right, bye-bye. I'm sorry, that was a retail exec.

Cane: No, no, no. No problem. So, this lawsuit -- juliet gave you no indication, or...?

Victoria: No. None at all.

Cane: Well, I have one word for you -- settle.

Victoria: Excuse me?

Cane: Well, what's the charge, wrongful termination?

Victoria: And you don't think we should fight it?

Cane: No, I think you should settle because with things like this, you lose even if you win. I mean, look, the negative publicity -- I mean, you'd be tried and convicted before you go in the courtroom, so just do whatever it takes and make it go away.

Victoria: Wow! I mean, I'm not saying that you're wrong. I'm just a little surprised by your defeatist attitude. You're usually such a fighter. You know, I just saw that in here with you and lily.

Cane: Well, I'm a pragmatist, you know? I kind of look at the evidence before I make my decisions, you know, based on the facts.

Victoria: Well, that's just it. There's one essential fact that you're getting wrong. Very wrong.

Todd: I'd like to thank you all for this opportunity and for being here for each other. Please keep the people you care about close. Their love is the best thing i know to help you and heal you during life's most challenging times. Kevin, esther, you have each other and bella. So neither of you is truly alone. Just as chloe isn't truly gone, as long as she lives on in your hearts.

Lily: Wow! You're going all-out tonight just to hang and listen to music.

Mattie: See? Now I regret telling you anything about my plans. I knew you would be like this.

Lily: Be like what? I'm just showing a natural maternal interest in my daughter's social life.

Mattie: No, you're prying. Some things are meant to be private, and by "things," I mean my social life. Or whatever social life it is.

Lily: Honey, it's okay if you like a boy.

Mattie: I don't like anyone! I barely even know him.

Lily: [ Gasps ] Oh! So there is someone. Come on, give me some details.

Mattie: There are no details. At last the kind that you want. I've met this guy at the coffeehouse, we've had a total of two very brief conversations, and that's it. There's nothing more to tell. He doesn't even go to my school.

Lily: Oh, that's right. I forgot about that contract we signed with your school where you can't date someone from somewhere else...

Mattie: Oh, my god! We aren't dating! He already thinks I'm a total nerd anyway.

Lily: What? Based on what?

Mattie: Mainly the tragic things that come out of my mouth. He asked me what I was into, and all I could come up with was school.

Lily: Well, I think you should be proud of that.

Mattie: I am, but...

Lily: Honey, I think you're getting this all wrong. Maybe he was, you know, impressed by how intelligent you are. I know I am.

Mattie: Yeah, because boys

love smart girls.

Lily: Hey. Any boy that is intimidated by your intelligence is not worth your time.

Reed: As soon as I mentioned the open mic, she just packed up and left the park.

Billy: She didn't say a word?

Reed: She said she had to finish some homework, but I know a blow-off when I hear one.

Billy: Yeah, don't we all.

Reed: She might as well have just said she had to wash her hair.

Billy: Or there is an incredibly unlikely outside chance that a girl taking a full load of A.P. Classes actually does have a lot of homework...

Reed: Yeah, I mean, there is that, but, uh... I don't know, I mean, I think i should get going.

Billy: Hey, listen, real quick before you go. I'd like you to, uh, give your mom some space, just for a little while. She's trying to iron out a couple things at work.

Reed: That sounds serious. Is she okay?

Billy: Your mom is tough. She knows what she's doing.

Reed: I wish I did. I have no idea what this girl thinks of me, and no last name or phone number to text and find out.

Billy: [ Chuckles ]

Reed: One moment, she seems into me and my music, and the next, she up and vanishes, so...

Billy: I feel ya. I do. And, listen, if you ever figure out the mystery of the female mind, will you shoot me a text and clue me in?

Reed: [ Chuckles ]

Nick: This is nice. Perfect time of day.

Chelsea: Perfect time of year. Late spring is always my favorite. Hey, do you think these little sluggers are ready for their first professional baseball game?

Nick: Oh, man! They're never too young to experience the awesomeness that is baseball. I mean, the smell of the hot dogs, the crowd's cheering, i mean, eating peanuts and just throwing the shells wherever you want... that is bliss.

Chelsea: Okay. So that's your idea of bliss?

Nick: Yeah. It is. What's yours?

Chelsea: I don't know, um, I guess just, like, a cool concert. Outside, under the stars.

Nick: Well, I was gonna tell you, I did get the schedule for concert under the stars. You know, maybe we could find a cool nighttime outing for this, uh, foursome we got going on?

Chelsea: That sounds wonderful. I would like that. Hmm? Would you like that?

Nick: [ Groans ] No. No. I'm not gonna do that.

Chelsea: You're not gonna do what?

Nick: I almost checked the time, just to see if maybe the service was still going on, but we're not gonna dwell on that.

Chelsea: No, we're not going to -- we're not gonna dwell on that.

[ Exhales sharply ] So... what did we come here to dwell on?

Nick: Wow, that was close. I almost said something super dopey and sentimental.

Chelsea: Well, I'm really glad you stopped yourself, because you have a reputation to uphold.

Esther: There's kevin.

Kevin: Hey, sweets. You doing okay?

Bella: Mm-hmm.

Kevin: Good. So, now that we've said goodbye to mommy, it's time to go home. But remember what I said. She's always gonna be right here, right? Okay. Say goodbye. Go ahead. Okay. Should we go put teddy on her?

Bella: Yeah.

Kevin: Okay. Where do you want to put him? Over here? Oh! Is that a good spot? I think so, too.

Chelsea: Guess who just bought baseball tickets with the touch of a button and her sturdiest credit card? Yes!

Nick: Well, you are the day's mvp, and I'm gonna pay you back for that ler.

Chelsea: Well, you can pay me back by buying us those tickets to the concert. Pending christian and connor's artist approval, obviously.

Nick: Done! You know --

[ Christian babbles ] Yeah. You know, I'm really liking this, us getting together and just getting normal again, you know? Hanging out in parks, maybe going to a ball game, concerts, renaissance faires -- whatever it is, I'm in it. For all of it.

Chelsea: Careful. The way you're talking, the four of us might slip into feeling like A...unit.

Nick: A unit...

Chelsea: A family.

Nick: A family. Well, I was hoping you'd say that.

Billy: Juliet. I was in the office when we got your claim. What are you thinking? Making this up just to get back at victoria? I mean, I can't even wrap my mind around this.

Juliet: I shouldn't be talking to you. My lawyer made that clear.

Billy: So, what, were you just making this up, that you were ready to move on, there was no ill will? Come on, we both made mistakes in L.A. If victoria decided that I was the one to take the fall, i would have walked away. I would have accepted it. I wouldn't have done something so vicious and underhanded.

Juliet: You are not going to bully me into discussing this with you, so save your breath.

Billy: Juliet. Hold on a second. Hold on, okay? I understand that it's unfair to lose a job that you're good at, especially because of a shared mistake. But lashing back with a fictitious sexual harassment claim, that's extreme. And I got to be honest, you're just gonna end up embarrassed when the court finds out that you got nothing to base this on.

Juliet: And that's where you're wrong. I have a case. A very good case.

Billy: Then who? Who do you claim sexually harassed you? Because it wasn't me.

Juliet: No, we can agree on that. It wasn't you, billy.

Cane: Okay, uh, what do i have wrong about this?

Victoria: Well, for one thing, juliet is not suing for wrongful termination. It's sexual harassment. And she's naming you, cane.

Todd: Ah, kevin.

Kevin: Taking off, father todd?

Todd: I thought I would. I can stay if you'd like me to. We can talk or not talk or if you just want someone to be here with you...

Kevin: Thank you for the offer and for everything. I don't know how I could express my gratitude.

Todd: Oh, please, you don't have to say anything. It's my job. Just keep in mind what I said. Reach out to those who are close to you, hmm? This is the time.

Kevin: I will. I'm sorry for losing my temper before.

Todd: Don't worry about it. You had the most compelling excuse there is. Not another word.

Kevin: Okay.

Todd: You take care, my son.

Kevin: I will. Thank you. How do I ever apologize to you for letting you down the way i did? If anyone should have seen that you still needed help, it was me. We were together, but you were suffering alone. I was too awestruck by this fairy tale that had somehow come true for us. You and me. Finally together. With a life in front of us to do anything we wanted. I couldn't believe it. But I had to believe it.

[ Sighs ] I wasn't gonna let anything get in my way. I was holding on so tight to this fantasy that didn't exist, while the world was crumbling around me and took you with it. You deserved better than that. Especially from me. I'm so sorry, chloe.

Next on "the young and the restless"...

Michael: He wanted to say a private goodbye to chloe.

Gloria: The woman is dead! How long could that possibly take?

Juliet: If you're smart, you'll be on my side because ever since my first day on the job, cane's been hoping to get you fired.

Cane: There's something you need to know.
