Episode # 10805 ~ Lily fights temptation; Colin encourages Cane to clear his name; Dylan reunites with Sharon.

Provided By Suzanne

Neil: You don't have to say anything. As a matter of fact, I want you to leave.

Devon: No, Neil. I'm --

Neil: This is my mess to clean up. As soon as Paul gets back here, I'm gonna make a full confession about everything, the way I should have done months ago, instead of lying to your face every day and putting you through hell.

Devon: It's the same thing...

Neil: No, it's not.

Devon: ...As me lying to you every day while I was sleeping with your wife.

Neil: I have to do the right thing. Don't you get that?

Devon: The right thing for me is not punishing you. That would be meaningless and hypocritical, and you know what? It's not gonna change a thing. And it sure as hell isn't gonna change how Hilary feels about me.

Hilary: When I think about Devon, all I feel is guilt and shame and disgust. But when I remember love, all there is is you.

Cane: The ransom note and the bag of cash that was found in my living room, the million-dollar screw-up at Fenmore's -- he's trying to trash my relationship with lily so I get tossed in jail and he can have her all to himself. I mean, who else has motive to knock me out and lock me in this little storage room during the fire so I die? Who?

Colin: [Sighs heavily] I'm mortified. I thought I was the only person with enemies like this.

Cane: Exactly. He's trying to clear a path to her to get me out of the way so he can have her for himself. That's what he's trying to do.

Colin: Good plan, well executed, and you gave him your head on a platter.

Cane: See, the thing is Paul thinks he's a credible suspect, but the problem is we don't have any proof.

Colin: Then we'll get some proof.

Lily: I still can't believe cane would go that far. I mean, making accusations is one thing, but calling the police?

Joe: I mean, cane is in self-destruct mode, making one bad decision after the next. I don't care that he's lashing out at me, but what bothers me is that he --

Lily: What?

Joe: That there's a possibility that he may take you down with him.

Lily: And I have defended him over and over, and I couldn't do it anymore. And I have to think about the twins. I do. I have to do what's... what's best for them.

Joe: You're a strong woman, lily. I want you to know that you're not going through this alone.

Sage: Is that the payroll? That's my job, and, besides, tomorrow's Thanksgiving.

Nick: Well, paycheck's due Friday, turkey or no turkey.

Sage: Hand it over, Newman.

Nick: I'm almost finished.

Sage: It's probably a good distraction.

Nick: You mean since my father pushed me out of the company?

Sage: Because you aren't willing to sacrifice your principles, give up being the wonderful man that you are.

Nick: Thanks for reminding me.

Sage: [Chuckles softly]

Nick: It's good to talk.

Sage: I agree.

Nick: I'm really glad you went with me to see the counselor so we can continue to deal with this.

Faith: I can't sleep.

Nick: Come on. I'll tuck you back in.

Sage: I have a good idea.

Sharon: Mariah, I'm telling you, Dylan's in trouble. Something happened to him before the line went dead.

Mariah: Mom, calm down. You're overreacting.

Sharon: I heard him moan. What if he's hurt?

Dr. Anderson: Sharon, I know you don't want to upset the baby. It's past time for your medication. Please, take your pill.

Sharon: I don't need to be doped up! I need to call someone! Paul -- he'll find out what's going on!

Dr. Anderson: Oh, okay. If it'll help reassure you, I'll make some calls. Please, convince your mother to take her medication.

Mariah: You heard the doctor.

Dylan: Paul. [Groans]

Paul: You've been unconscious. It's okay. Don't move.

Dylan: Okay.

Paul: Who did this to you?

Dylan: It was Dr. Neville.

Paul: Dr. Neville?

Dylan: He had some kind of needle.

Paul: What happened? Tell me what happened.

Dylan: He didn't -- he didn't give me a name.

Paul: Okay.

Dylan: What about -- what about Sharon? What about the baby?

Paul: What baby? What are you talking about?

Dylan: I was talking to Sharon. She said she had the baby.

Paul: Okay. We're gonna have to celebrate later. We got to get you checked out.

Dylan: I'm gonna go see them.

Paul: No, no, no, no. Dylan, stay where you are. We got to get you checked out.

Dylan: I got to see my son, okay?!

Cane: So, how illegal do you think it'll be to line up the evidence against Joe?

Colin: He's the criminal, and you've given me a list already of his crimes. Add to that the fact that he's trying to get your wife.

Cane: What's the plan?

Colin: You meet me at the club.

Cane: Okay.

Colin: I will have a talk to Mr. Clark and lure him downstairs to discuss... [Taps table] ...A lucrative business proposal. But, listen, while I'm doing that, you go in to lily's office, get the master key, and then go up in his suite.

Cane: Yeah. I just don't know if he's dumb enough to leave anything incriminating in his room.

Colin: One way to find out.

Faith: "Anne of green gables"?

Sage: Yes. [Chuckles] Growing up at the Binghams', whenever I was restless or I couldn't sleep, Constance would read to us. She wasn't a fan of television. Forget the internet. She thought the best form of entertainment was for us to tell stories and read to each other.

Faith: That sounds fun.

Sage: Yeah.

Faith: Can we, daddy? Please?

Nick: Yeah. For sure.

Sage: All right. You ready? Here we go.

Faith: Yeah.

Sage: "Chapter 1 -- Mrs. Rachel Lynde is surprised. Mrs. Rachel Lynde lived just where the Avonlea main road dipped down into a little hollow, fringed with alders and ladies' eardrops and traversed by a brook that had its source away back in the woods of the old Cuthbert place."

Sharon: You happy?

Mariah: I know that you're not crazy about the meds that you're on, but right now, I am for anything that will assure you that Dylan is okay.

Sharon: And what if he's not? What then?

Mariah: Sharon, seriously, you need to chill out. The call got dropped or his battery died. I mean, it happens all the time. You need to stop thinking the worst. You're gonna scare the baby, and if he's anything like his big sister, then he's very sensitive. He needs his mommy to stay positive.

Dr. Anderson: Here we go. One bottle, all warmed and ready.

Sharon: Ohh.

Dr. Anderson: Here you go. Now, with the combination of meds you're on, I don't recommend breastfeeding. Also, I spoke to someone in the police department. They said that Dylan is in Genoa city and the chief is on his way to meet him.

Mariah: See? Nothing to worry about.

Sharon: Okay. All right. Well, I'll give him the bottle when he wakes up.

Dr. Anderson: Okay.

Sharon: [Gasps]

Mariah: Oh, my good--

Sharon: You're okay! I was so worried!

Dylan: I'm fine.

Mariah: [Chuckles]

Dylan: Never better.

Sharon: [Chuckles]

Dylan: Wow.

Sharon: Yeah.

Dylan: Ohh.

Sharon: Here. Meet your son.

Dylan: Ohh.

[Baby fusses]

Dylan: Oh, it's okay. [Sighs]

Dylan: Oh, yeah. Hey. I'm your dad. [Chuckles softly] [Sniffles] I've been waiting A... I've been waiting a long time for this moment. [Sniffles] And I've been waiting to meet you. And I promise that... that I'll protect you... and your mother. We are gonna be a great family. [Sniffles] Ohh.

[Cell phone rings]

Joe: Hello?

Colin: Uh, Mr. Clark, Colin Atkinson here. I got a, uh, particular business proposition that might suit someone of your particular talents and flexibility. Would you be interested?

Joe: Yeah, maybe.

Colin: It's a one-time deal, particularly lucrative. I'm downstairs in the athletic club dining room. Why don't you meet me down here in, say, 10 minutes and I'll lay it all out for you? Failing that, I'll just move on to the next person on my list.

Joe: Yeah? Well, where was I on your list?

Colin: Oh, at the top, of course.

Joe: I'll be down shortly.

[Keys jingling]

Lily: Hey.

Joe: Oh. You sleep. I'll be back shortly.

Cane: Is he coming down?

Colin: Of course. I used the magic word.

Cane: "Lucrative"?

Colin: [Sighs] I got a feeling you're gonna find something juicy and incriminating in that room of his.

Devon: Hilary was ready to sacrifice her happiness and go through the motions of being married to me if it meant I didn't turn you in. That's how much she loves you.

Neil: Well, she may care about me, but you're the man she loves.

Devon: Have you not heard a word I've said to you?

Neil: I have heard. I know that your affair with Hilary wasn't some cheap, fly-by-night thing, okay? It was just the opposite. You fell in love. But I believe by coming forward, it will open the door to other truths. It'll help Hilary remember the life that she once had with you, not the life that she's stuck in right now.

Devon: Okay. Let's take Hilary out of this whole thing, 'cause it's not about Hilary. It's about us -- all the pain that we've caused, all the bad blood, all of it, and I just -- it needs to stop right here. There's no reason for it to keep going. It really doesn't. Do you understand that?

Paul: Oh, good. You're here. Come on in.

Neil: What's going on?

Paul: All right. Uh... let me catch you up. Dylan had Dr. Simon Neville cornered.

Neil: Really? Where was he?

Paul: He was in a motel on route 8 outside of town. Dylan proposed a deal, and Neville agreed in principle.

Devon: What kind of deal?

Paul: Well, that he would tell us who hired him to take care of Hilary in exchange for having his research published.

Devon: And where's Neville now?

Paul: Well, he, uh... incapacitated Dylan, and he was gone before I got there.

Neil: Hey, wait. If the guy wants some kind of recognition for his work, why would he run?

Paul: Well, it was just a ploy. He had no intention of giving us the name. He just was buying time to escape. And Neville's no stupe. I mean, he knew exactly, either way, he was in a hell of a lot of trouble. So, anyway, you're here. Uh... you wanted to talk to me. You have a lead?

Devon: I thought that I had a lead. Well, but now that you tell me where, um -- where Neville is, I guess it's a dead end.

Paul: We will catch up with this guy. You have my word.

Devon: I know that you're doing everything you can. I appreciate it.

Paul: I will keep you posted.

Devon: We should, uh -- we should tell Hilary that nothing's changed.

Neil: Yeah. That's a good idea, son.

Uh, Mrs. Hamilton, just a couple questions?

Hilary: Okay, please, just go away.

Well, we just found out that the police now know who was responsible for your abduction. Do you want to say anything?

Hilary: Uh...yes. Um...I was seriously injured in virgin Gorda, and the person who held me -- they were just trying to save me.

So, you're defending your kidnapper?

Lily: What are you doing here?

Cane: What, you mean besides looking at my wife in another man's bed?

Lily: You still haven't said what you're doing here.

Cane: Well... Joe has been setting me up, and he's playing you for the long haul, although it doesn't look like you put up much resistance, have you?

Lily: [Sighs] Cane, please, just... just stop, okay? Just... leave. Go. Please.

Cane: No. I can't do that, 'cause I can't leave till I find the evidence to show that Joe's been setting me up.

Lily: Evidence? Really? You're delusional.

Cane: I'm delusional? I'm the delusional one? Really? You know that Paul Williams happens to think that Joe is up to something? Do you know that?

Lily: God, just stop this. This is crazy. Joe is not trying to frame you.

Cane: Do you realize that Joe is a man who likes other men's wives? And he's obsessed with you, and he's been setting me up from the beginning. Do you understand this?

Hilary: I'm not saying that. What I'm saying is that...

Joe: That's quite the mess there, and your son's right in the middle of it.

Colin: You know, I have no problem crossing lines or breaking rules, just as long as you know what you're doing. Otherwise... well, you get what you deserve.

Joe: That's kind of cold, huh?

Colin: It's a cold, hard world out there, my friend. Ethan -- he's been a real disappointment. Hurt the family. But you, on the other hand...

Joe: Yeah? What about me?

Colin: You've been a real comfort to lily, especially now.

Joe: Happy to help.

Colin: Yeah. Hasn't gone unnoticed.

Joe: So, this, uh, proposal of yours -- what are the details?

Colin: I got something to sell -- something that your heavy hitters would have gone for in the past.

Joe: Okay. What are you implying?

Colin: Joe, I've got to know that you've still got that game going, that you can come forward with some real serious offers. This is a time-sensitive situation -- material type of thing, you know.

Joe: Yeah, well, I haven't heard any specifics.

Colin: Well, we're having a conversation here.

Joe: Yeah. Yeah. I don't have time for this.

Colin: Hey, hey, hey. Joe, wait.

Memorial hospital fired Dr. Neville because of these unorthodox practices.

Hilary: Well, do you see me standing here, talking to you right now? Because, yes, what happened to me was awful. I could have died. But I didn't. And I am home now, and I just -- I want to forget about the entire incident and move on with my life, so, please, can you just let me do that in peace and in private?

Well, what about the people that paid Neville to treat you? Do you want to speak about that?

Sage: "'Anne,' he said hurriedly, 'look here. Can't we be good friends? I'm awfully sorry I made fun of your hair that time. I didn't mean to vex you and I only meant it for a joke. Besides, it's so long ago. I think your hair is awfully pretty now -- honest, I do. Let's be friends.'" Your turn.

Nick: Me?

Sage: [Laughing] Yes.

Faith: Yeah, daddy.

Nick: Okay.

Sage: You can start right... there.

Nick: Are you sure?

Sage: [Laughs] Go.

Nick: Okay. "For a moment Anne hesitated. Her heart gave a quick, queer little beat. But the bitterness of her old grievance promptly stiffened up her wavering determination. That scene of two years before flashed back into her recollection as vividly as if it had taken place yesterday. Gilbert had called her 'carrots' and had brought her disgrace before the whole school. She hated Gilbert Blythe! She would never forgive him!"

Sage: Never, never, never, never, never.

[Both giggle]

[Knock on door]

Sage: Who could that be?

Nick: Let's find out.

Mariah: Hi.

Nick: Hey.

Mariah: Hi. Sorry. I know it's late, but I saw the lights were still on... and I was hoping faith would still be up. I have incredible news. Sharon had her baby! [Chuckles]

Faith: Yay! I have a little brother!

Mariah: [Chuckles] Yeah, you do!

Mariah: So, Dylan is with her now, and the baby is healthy and safe and just so, so beautiful!

Faith: Did you take a picture?

Mariah: No. I'm -- I'm a complete dunce. I had my phone on me, but I-I just got so caught up in the moment. But I promise I will get one for you as soon as I can, okay?

Faith: I can't wait to see him. Daddy, will you take me to Fairview to see mommy and the baby?

Nick: Yeah. Yeah. We'll, uh -- you know, we'll talk to the doctor and then see when it's okay.

Sage: That's really wonderful news, Mariah. Thanks for coming by to tell us.

Nick: Hey, guess what time it is.

Faith: What?

Nick: Bedtime.

Faith: [Sighs]

Nick: Yeah. Come on. You go upstairs and crawl in bed, and I'll turn the lights off and give you 10 kisses.

Sage: Good night.

Mariah: I'm, uh -- I'm really sorry. I shouldn't have just barged in and sprung this on you. I thought about calling, but I figured that Sharon would be home soon and you guys deserved a heads up.

Sharon: We haven't seen each other in so long. We haven't had a chance to talk about baby names. And I've given it a lot of thought.

Dylan: You have? 'Cause I-I haven't. I guess I didn't want to think that far ahead, you know? I was a little worried that... but every-- everything's fine now.

Sharon: Yeah.

Dylan: Our son is here. So, go ahead. Tell me. Tell me what names you're thinking about.

Sharon: Well, it's one name.

Dylan: Uh, okay. What is it -- somebody close to you?

Sharon: Mm-hmm, because it's someone who was close to you. And when you told me the story about his life and how you lost him, I made a donation in his honor, and that was a real turning point in our relationship.

Dylan: Sully.

Sharon: I know all these years you wish you could have done more for him, and -- and now...

Dylan: And now the baby's a second chance? Sullivan... McAvoy. I love it. What about you?

Sharon: I love it.

Well, surely you don't believe Simon Neville was treating you out of the goodness of his heart.

Hilary: You can theorize all you want, but I know what happened on that trail. I wasn't pushed. I wasn't coerced. I wasn't kidnapped. I lost my footing, and I fell. End of story.

So, you are expecting us to believe that Dr. Neville just happened to be in the British virgin islands and he found you on the shore and then brought you back to the united states on his own volition?

Hilary: You can believe whatever you want to believe, but Dr. Neville saved my life, and I am grateful. He should be rewarded, not punished.

Devon: Okay. That's enough. My wife has given enough sound bites, all right?

Just two more questions.

Devon: No, no more questions. This is private property. You're gonna stop harassing my family, okay? I'm gonna escort you out. Let's go.

Neil: Thank you so much. Thank you. [Sighs] I'm so sorry you had to go through that, Hilary.

Hilary: No, it's fine. I think I'm kind of getting used to it.

Neil: Yeah?

Hilary: What happened at the police station? I thought you were turning yourself in.

Neil: I wanted to, but Devon fought me on it. He wouldn't let me.

Devon: No, 'cause I had my part in how this all played out. No one is wholly innocent in this whole mess, so why should he be the only one that gets punished?

Hilary: Thank you.

Colin: I'm putting a large chunk of chancellor industries on the market.

Joe: How big?

Colin: Big enough to make you a major player again.

Joe: [Chuckles] Uh-huh. And does your wife know that you're giving away the store? You don't even work there.

Colin: I'm not giving away anything. This isn't amateur hour.

Joe: Mm. Well, I'm beginning to wonder.

Colin: Look... you bring a sweet enough deal to the table, Jill's gonna come 'round to my way of thinking.

Joe: Oh. So, this sale is still a maybe?

Colin: No. Not at all.

Joe: I need details, Colin, okay? What divisions? Financials, balance statements? Not to mention the potential pushback of clients and vendors of a possible sale.

Colin: Definite sale.

Joe: Yeah, well, you keep saying that.

Lily: You know what? You're right. Joe is obsessed. He's trying to get you thrown in jail. If that were true, the police would have arrested him and they would be here searching his room legally.

Cane: Maybe he's smart and he planned for this.

Lily: But not smart enough to get rid of the evidence? Okay, fine! Fine. Let's do this. Let's look for evidence that's incriminating for Joe. Wow! Look at this -- a phone charger and nail clippers. This is very suspicious, cane. Or -- or -- or books and... keys. Wow! What a shady character.

Cane: Will you stop doing this, please?

Lily: Oh, I know. Let's look in the closet. I'm sure we can find something in here. Oh, my God. Wow. Look at these shoes. Exactly what a criminal would wear.

Cane: If he was hiding anything incriminating, it would be inside the safe, and you have the combination for every safe in this building. Will you please open the safe for me?

Lily: No! Absolutely not!

Cane: Will you please open the safe for me?

Lily: No!

Cane: If I'm some lowlife, blackmailing... and he's, like, the prince, there is nothing in this safe that can make him look bad.

Lily: Cane, no. That is illegal.

Cane: This is my only chance to prove I'm innocent and he's not the man he's pretending to be. Will you please... will you please... open the safe for me?

Lily: Fine. I'll open the safe. But then I want you to leave.

[Keypad beeping]

Joe: But how am I supposed to broker a deal, rally my investors, with zero information, not to mention your criminal history?

Colin: Come on.

Joe: Yeah. Colin, get your ducks in a row, and when you do, give me a call.

Colin: Joe! Joe! [Sighs]

Cane: The man who dropped off the ransom note was wearing one of these, and the man who took the bag of money in the park was wearing one, as well. It's a hoodie. Do you see this?

Lily: A lot of people have hoodies like that.

Cane: Really? And do they keep them locked in safes? Do they?

[Door opens]

Joe: Lily?

Lily: Hey. Where'd you go?

Joe: Oh, a deal fell into my lap. It's been a very productive day.

Lily: [Chuckles]

Joe: What, uh -- what have you been doing?

Lily: Oh. Uh, I was just looking for a blanket.

Joe: Oh, those are in the linen cupboard in the bathroom. I'll get you one.

Lily: Okay.

Joe: Here you go.

Lily: Thank you. [Chuckles] Actually, it's getting really late. I should probably get back to the twins.

Joe: I was gonna open up a bottle of wine to celebrate.

Lily: Um, let's take a rain check, yeah? And then I will -- I'll call you tomorrow and wish you a happy Thanksgiving.

Joe: Yeah. Yeah. Sure. Um... do I get a kiss goodbye?

Lily: Yeah. Bye.

Joe: Bye.

Colin: Hey. Well?

Cane: I have everything I need.

Colin: Let me have a vodka martini up with a twist. Put it on my son's tab, will you?

Devon: Is that the tub that your son plans on paying with the money he extorted from me? I bet you're so proud of him.

Colin: Tell me something, Devon. What's it like to eat crow?

Neil: There's been enough suffering. See, that's essentially where Devon was coming from. As a father, I've got to say I'm totally blown away that he -- he would forgive me.

Hilary: You must be really proud of him.

Neil: Like you wouldn't believe.

Hilary: I hope that what I said to that reporter helps, or at least it doesn't hurt. I think that the police -- they'll forget about Dr. Neville, especially when they see that I'm not gonna be their star witness. I think they'll drop this investigation.

Neil: Hmm. Wouldn't that be something? Yeah. [Sighs]

Dylan: It's a pretty amazing day for me. I mean us -- all of us.

Dr. Anderson: It certainly is.

Dylan: You know, the past few months have been, uh... pretty tough... you know, being away from Sharon during most of her pregnancy. I would have given anything to go through that with you. But...it's all worth it. I've, uh, never been happier. Dr. Anderson, thank you so much.

Dr. Anderson: It's my pleasure, Dylan.

Dylan: Now I look forward to getting on with our lives, taking Sharon and this little baby home.

Dr. Anderson: Well, I'm afraid I can't let you go just get.

Neil: I was thi--

Hilary: You know, I-I was --

Neil: No, I -- you -- you go. Ladies first.

Hilary: No, no.

Neil: No, seriously.

Hilary: What I was gonna say was -- it's not important. What were you thinking?

Neil: I was thinking that I-I should go. It's kind of late. Are you okay?

Hilary: I'm fine. Really.

Neil: Yeah. Well, I-- um... [Chuckles softly]

Hilary: Goodbye, Neil. Happy Thanksgiving.

Devon: I've been eating crow all night, Colin.

Colin: You poor guy. You must be stuffed.

Devon: Well, I followed my heart, and I did what I thought was right. Now it's --

Colin: No good deed goes unpunished, or so I'm told. I wouldn't know. I've never done one.

Devon: I could torture myself, but what would that accomplish? Whatever happens now... I know that I healed a big wound with my father. And...the time that I spent with Hilary -- that, um... it meant everything to me.

Colin: Word of advice?

Devon: Sure.

Colin: Be careful of the epitaphs. Your faith in human nature may yet be restored. This isn't over yet -- not by a long shot.

Cane: You might want to have your forensic team take a look at that.

Sage: Thanks again, Mariah, for stopping by to deliver the news.

Mariah: Yeah. I kind of let my excitement for faith run away with me. I mean, she could use some good news.

Sage: Yeah. She can use all the good news right now.

Mariah: But I'm -- I'm -- I'm really sorry.

Sage: That's all right. Don't worry about it. It's really exciting! There's a new baby in your family. I'm really happy for you and for Dylan and for Sharon.

Mariah: Yeah.

Sage: Ohh. Thank you.

Mariah: Well, I'll see you guys later. Good night.

Sage: Good night. [Sighs heavily] With all that's happened, I forgot how far along Sharon was. Kind of snuck up on us, didn't it? I think we should send her a gift right away.

Nick: You know, you don't have to try so hard.

Sage: Is that what I'm doing?

Nick: No one expects you to... you know, pretend to be okay with this or... you know, feel upset or even a little envious, to think it's not fair. I mean, these are all the things I'm feeling.

Sage: Well, I'm just doing what the therapist said -- breathe and keep living. And once the holidays are behind us, I think we should visit that baby as soon as we can.

Dr. Anderson: I need to observe Sharon for a few more days. Given her history and the combination of medications she's on, postpartum depression is a real possibility.

Dylan: Okay. But I'm staying. I'm spending every second with my fiancée and with my baby.

Dr. Anderson: Of course. I'd expect nothing less.

Nick: I don't think anyone, including the therapist, expects you to be around a newborn right now.

Sage: I'm fine! I can handle it. I'm really, truly happy for Sharon. I mean it.

Nick: Okay. I believe you.

Sage: Okay.

Nick: I'll make sure faith got squared away.

Sage: Give her a kiss for me.

Nick: I will.

Sharon: [Chuckles]

[Baby squeals]

Sharon: [Laughs]

Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Joe: Cane's filling your head with lies, isn't he?

Lily: Actually, Joe, you're the liar.

Lily: I plan on pulling every rabbit I have out of my hat.

Victor: Maybe we should add another rabbit -- a surprise witness.

Phyllis: I think you've got something I want, and I'm sure I can be much more persuasive than Victor.
