Episode # 10658 ~ Adam & Nick butt heads; Ashley gives Abby a warning; Victoria offers Billy comfort.

Victor: You know, Jack and I just decided to put down our arms. And now with Victoria on board, the outlook for the company has never been better.

Nick: Oh, I can feel it coming. There is where you pitch me on coming back to work for you at Newman enterprises, and this is where I tell you that my club is reopening tonight and the underground is the only place I want to be.

Victor: All right. Don't think there hasn't been many a time when I wish my only son were with me at the helm of my company. But that is not what I came here to discuss. I wanted to talk about something else.

Nick: Well, I didn't know there was anything else for you except Newman.

Victor: What do you know about Gabriel Bingham?

Victoria: If it isn't the man who broke the internet yesterday.

Billy: I guess you heard I tanked my wedding, huh?

Victoria: I think pretty much the whole world heard.

Billy: [Chuckles]

Victoria: [Sighs] I would say bravo for calling Chelsea out, but I know congratulations aren't in order right now. I know it was awful.

Billy: Yeah, well, it needed to happen. Chelsea and I, we were a mistake from the beginning. And getting her out of my life was the best thing that could have happened to me.

Chelsea: Thanks for coming to watch Connor on such short notice. I have to get to my meeting, and he hasn't started daycare yet. Speaking of my meeting, I'm running late, so if you want to get started on the lecture, start now.

Anita: Lecture?

Chelsea: I know you've probably been rehearsing your little speech about what a wreck I've made of my life because I cheated on Billy and now I won't be marrying an Abbott.

Anita: All I care about is my baby's feelings. And your future prospects.

Chelsea: What future prospects? Billy hates me. My relationship is over.

Anita: Who said anything about Billy?

Stitch: Okay, so that picture of Sharon breaking into Austin's apartment...

Abby: It could have been doctored. There were traces of latex found in Sharon's fingerprints on the tire iron, which means they could have been transferred.

Stitch: In other words, Sharon could be as innocent as she says she is.

Abby: Noah is relieved.

Stitch: Yeah, well, I wish I was. Because if Sharon didn't kill Austin or Courtney, somebody else did. And if he or she finds out we haven't stopped investigating, then we're still targets.

Abby: No one knows that better than me.

Stitch: Nothing is gonna happen to you. I told you. I'm not gonna let you get hurt again, okay?

Ashley: Okay. I mean, that's it. If my daughter's charms are just too potent that you can't act like a professional, maybe you should look for a job someplace else.

Kyle: Thanks. Bye. So, guy at the deli just confirmed they closed at 6:00.

Summer: You were right, Kevin. I mean, the lights would not be on at 9:00, and that's what the timestamp says.

Kevin: It was definitely forged.

Noah: So my mom was framed.

Kevin: It sure looks that way.

Noah: So, what are we doing? Let's go see Paul.

Kevin: He thinks he's already ID'd the killer. He's not gonna listen to us.

Noah: Well, we need to make him listen, Kevin.

Kevin: When has that ever worked? The information needs to come from someone he trusts.

Paul: Hey, Dylan. What brings you by?

Dylan: Sharon and the new evidence we found.

Paul: Right. I know all about it. Michael told me.

Dylan: Yeah, I know, but what I don't know is why you dismissed it. Paul, hey, her fingerprints were planted on the murder weapon. Somebody else killed Austin and Courtney, and you're spinning your wheels on Sharon. You need to get to the bottom of this!

Paul: And you need to stop doing Michael's job and stop telling me how to do mine! This case is complicated enough without interference from a bunch of amateurs!

Dylan: Those amateurs discovered compelling evidence that exonerates Sharon!

Paul: Oh, latex on a tire iron? You know, there's got to be a million reasons that could happen. I cannot go to Chris and ask her to dismiss the case because of a theory!

Dylan: Yeah, but it's a good theory. It's worth looking into. Come on, Paul. Please. Two people have already lost their lives. You want an innocent woman to lose hers? Sharon's whole future is at stake here!

Paul: You know, Dylan, I am going to ignore the fact that you are implying that I am not looking for justice. And I'm not going to ask you why this means so much to you and why you're so invested in Sharon. But I will ask you one question. Does Avery support all this?

Dylan: Come on. Avery's busy helping Joe at rehab right now.

Paul: Yeah. I just think you're gonna get all mixed up in something that you're gonna regret later.

Dylan: Regret?

Paul: Yes.

Dylan: Regret helping a friend who's taking a fall for a murder she didn't commit! Why kind of person would I be if I turned my back on her?

Kevin: Michael's not answering.

Summer: Guess we just have to wait.

Noah: No, we can't wait. My mom's face has been all over the news for days now. She's a mess. Do you know what it's doing to my sister faith? Look, with all due respect to your brother, he wasn't able to get through to Paul about the fingerprints, so what makes you think he's gonna make some headway now?

Kevin: Because we finally have hard proof that somebody's setting Sharon up.

Kyle: Yeah, and if that someone gets wind of it, our parents will be planning our funerals. The sooner we contact the police, the better, Kevin.

Summer: I was so relieved when they arrested Sharon. I thought everything was over. But now we know that someone else killed Austin and Courtney. The question is who.

Anita: Gabriel Bingham. That's who you should be setting your sights on. And what a sight he is.

Chelsea: Mom.

Anita: What? Obviously you agree with me. You shacked up with Mr. Hunka hunka burnin' love. That chiseled face -- looks like a Greek god. And those abs -- ooh!

Chelsea: How do you know what his abs look like?

Anita: A woman can dream, can't she?

Chelsea: Okay, well, if you like him so much, you can chase after him.

Anita: I would, but he's hot for you, so why don't you hop to it and reel him in and claim your prize?

Chelsea: What prize?

Anita: Gabriel Bingham's from a very socially prominent family, and I'm sure he could find a few million hiding between the sofa cushions, if you know what I mean.

Chelsea: No, nothing is ever gonna happen between Gabe and me. Nothing ever should have happened in the first place. Sleeping with him was the biggest mistake of my life.

Anita: [Sighs]

Victor: Speak of the devil.

Adam: Devil? I take that as a compliment coming from you. Mind telling me why you're, uh, why you're priming my old boarding school pal here for information about me?

Nick: I'd like to know that myself.

Victor: We're talking about the merger of Newman and Jabot, about the fact that I inherited a whole new staff of people I don't know.

Adam: Hmm.

Victor: I usually like to vet my employees before I hire them.

Adam: That makes sense. Trying to get background information on me.

Victor: That's right.

Adam: That's good. Except the thing is you already know my background, right, unless you've forgotten about your business association with the late Harrison Bingham. Did you tell him about that?

Nick: What association?

Victor: That's another discussion, okay?

Adam: Hmm.

Victor: The only association I'm interested in is the one that you and I are about to enter into.

Adam: You want to know what you're in for, right?

Victor: Yeah.

Adam: I see.

Nick: There something funny?

Adam: Quite funny, actually, that your father here, the great Victor Newman, be intimidated by me. Cracks me up.

Victor: [Laughs] Sonny boy...

Adam: Hmm?

Victor: You don't know what you're getting into, do you?

Adam: Mnh.

Victor: That's right. I've surmised that you have an enormous ego. If I were you, I'd check that ego a little bit, okay?

Adam: I'm not afraid of you, Victor.

Victor: I love guys like you. Cocky, full of themselves. That's just what I like.

Adam: Good.

Victor: I have a meeting to go to, son. So you and I will talk about the stuff we were talking about, okay, another time.

Adam: After you.

Victor: Watch it.

Adam: Got to love that guy, right?

Nick: What is the matter with you? You think you can intimidate my dad? Dude, you have no idea what you're up against.

Adam: Oh, I think I do. I think I do more than you know.

Nick: And what makes you think you have so much insight in my dad?

Adam: Well, his business dealings are stuff of legend. Also I took the liberty of digging a little deeper, doing a little -- a little fact-finding on the guy. I think anybody that was about ready to work for Victor Newman would do just that, right?

Nick: Maybe.

Adam: Okay. And then, uh, you know, there's the tiny, little matter of his business dealings with [Sighs] Harrison Bingham, so I feel like, you know, all that gives me a pretty good idea of what he's capable of.

Nick: Congratulations, binger. Looks like you got everything figured out. But then again, you've always had everything figured out, right?

Adam: No, no, no, no. Not everything. I wouldn't say that I have everything figured out. I'm not always right. Although I was right about you dumping Sage on her ass, right? She told me about that. Now that you think about it, I wasn't such a bad husband after all, was I, if we're still close enough that she confides in me.

Nick: The only reason she does that is 'cause she doesn't have anyone else to talk to. She's been under your thumb for so many years. She doesn't have a life of her own.

Adam: That was her choice. It's not my fault that she's a loyal person.

Nick: You didn't deserve that loyalty. You kept her trapped in a loveless marriage, and the whole time, you were chasing after Chelsea, dogging her till finally you ruined her wedding.

Adam: Is that what you heard? That I ruined her wedding? I had nothing to do with it. Billy Abbott took care of that all on his own.

Billy: Oh, go figure. A relationship that started out with her drugging me so that she could have sex with me while I'm unconscious didn't end well. Hmm.

Victoria: Well, you know, you couldn't have gotten her back any better if you paraded her around town and pinned a scarlet "a" to her.

Billy: I know this is probably hard to believe, but it really wasn't about retaliation. I just wanted her to see how many people she hurt when she cheated on me with Gabe, because it wasn't just about me. I mean, my whole family. You, too.

Victoria: Is that why you invited me to the wedding?

Billy: Yeah. 'Cause you always went out of your way to make her feel comfortable. And you invited her to Katie's christening, and then she turns around and she thumbs her nose at it? Oh, whatever. I just... lesson learned. Moving on, I guess.

Victoria: I hate to tell you, but it's not gonna be that easy.

Billy: Yeah.

Victoria: Yeah.

Billy: Listen, um... I know that you know what it feels like, but I was luckier than you. Chelsea and I weren't married. We didn't have kids together. Although I am gonna miss Connor. He started calling me daddy.

Victoria: That's cute.

Billy: Yeah.

Victoria: But, you know, you have two little kids at home that adore you, and they would love it if you came by and hung out with them.

Billy: I'm not so sure that your roommate would like that.

Victoria: My roommate?

Billy: Stitch? Unless you've got somebody else living there that I need to be aware of.

Victoria: You know what? The important thing is, is that you don't let yourself get bitter like I was and just learn to accept change. There's a lot of it going around these days.

Stitch: All right, there's no need to threaten my job. I already told you I'll stick to the rules.

Ashley: You just broke them.

Abby: Come on, mom. It's not like he was ripping my clothes off. He was trying to make me feel better.

Ashley: Yeah, I saw that.

Abby: About the murder case. There's been some developments.

Ashley: Nothing that puts you in danger again, I hope.

Abby: No, I'm -- I'm safe.

Ashley: Well, that's good. I have to ask the two of you, what are you doing? Do you realize what you're getting yourselves into? Because once this fling ends, things are just gonna get messier with Victoria.

Abby: Fling? Maybe that's what you want to believe is going on between me and Ben, but what we have is the real thing.

Paul: We have evidence that proves that Sharon was at summer and Austin's building the night he was killed.

Dylan: Even if she was, that doesn't mean she killed the guy.

Paul: You know... I know you think Sharon is innocent. But Chris is convinced she can win this case. So if you really consider yourself a good friend, what you should do is prepare Sharon for what's coming. She could spend the rest of her life in jail. She needs to do whatever she can to make it easy on herself and the rest of her family.

Dylan: Are you saying to tell her to confess to two crimes she didn't commit?

[Cell phone rings]

Dylan: [Sighs] Yeah. What's up?

Noah: Hey, Kevin and I are headed over to crimson lights right now. We need your help with something important.

Dylan: I'll be there as soon as I can.

Paul: All right, you obviously have somewhere to go. Think about what I said.

Dylan: Thanks. But I have a better way of being a good friend to Sharon.

Noah: All right, we'll call you later, let you know what's up.

Summer: Okay, just try not to attract too much attention.

Kevin: Me? Attract attention?

[Door closes]

Kyle: So, are you gonna be all right on your own? I have to go play a round of golf with my dad.

Summer: I'm just a little confused. Isn't the point for the Abbotts to have a strong presence at the office now that you guys have merged with Newman? How are you gonna do that when you're at the golf course?

Kyle: Look, if my dad wants to play a round of golf, who am I to argue?

Summer: I don't know. I just think that you should try to get through to him.

Kyle: Look, he's not gonna get any more flak from me, okay? He's getting enough of that from the rest of the family. They're even trying to vote him out of the company.

Summer: Would that be so bad? I mean, he doesn't seem that interested anyways.

Kyle: How can you say that?

Summer: How can you deny it, Kyle?

Kyle: [Scoffs] God, summer, you know, I can't seem to say anything right or do anything right with you anymore. What's the problem? Are you pissed because I'm not working hard enough or because I'm not paying you enough attention?

Summer: I don't -- I don't know --

Kyle: You know, I'm beginning to understand what went wrong with your marriage.

Ashley: Well, now that we've established what the parameters of your relationship are, maybe we should just get back to work.

Abby: Sure, yeah, yeah. Let's -- let's work.

Ashley: I have every intention of talking to Jack about this ridiculous idea of Victoria's to shelf hex, okay? So we're just gonna keep fine-tuning it, maybe come up with a new marketing strategy. That is, if you can keep your hands from groping each other for a few hours, please.

Abby: [Sighs]

Stitch: Well, I guess we better get to it, huh? Let's see.

Abby: You know, um, first I just, um, I want to apologize, saying that, uh, what you and I have is the real thing. I mean, that's something that we should have discussed in private before I opened my big but perfectly shaped mouth. [Chuckles]

Stitch: Hey, no worries. [Chuckles]

Victoria: Morning. It's nice to see everyone so hard at work. What's the status of things? Is there a problem?

Stitch: Uh, it was, um, it was personal. Sorry.

Victoria: I thought we agreed to keep it to a minimum. Why don't we stick to that, all right?

Ashley: I'm trying to warn you. Things are just gonna get worse with Victoria. Now, what did you say to Abby?

Victor: Thank you kindly for joining me. I mean, it's very nice of you considering your recent difficulties.

Chelsea: You might as well just say it. I'm a tramp, and everyone found out about it at my wedding.

Victor: Well, you're not. I'm sorry this happened. You and my grandson are better off without him, I assure you.

Chelsea: Connor adored him, and vice versa.

Victor: Having said that, have you had a chance to think about my offer?

Chelsea: Yes. And I've decided to accept.

Victor: That's wonderful.

Chelsea: With the caveat that I will still have full creative control of my line just like I did at Jabot. I don't need people who know nothing about designing telling me how to do my job.

Victor: Now, if by "people" you mean Victoria, then I can assure you that the two of you will forge a very positive working relationship, you know? You may also work alongside Gabriel Bingham. Does that bother you considering your...recent history?

Chelsea: There's no history. It was an indiscretion, a regretful indiscretion.

Victor: Regretful because of the consequences or because of his character?

Chelsea: I mean, I-I don't -- I don't really know him that well.

Victor: He went into a burning building to save your son.

Chelsea: I mean, any decent human being would have done that.

Victor: But he risked his life saving someone he didn't really know.

Chelsea: Gabe has really been putting himself out for Connor since the beginning. They've -- they've bonded from the start. But it's -- it's Connor, you know? He's an easy kid to love.

Victor: But, of course, no one loved him like his real father loved him.

Chelsea: And no one ever will.

Billy: [Sniffs]

Anita: So, humiliating my daughter wasn't enough? You have to rob her, too?

Billy: These are my things, Anita. I was just coming back to collect them. Well, hey. Hey, buddy. How you doing?

Anita: Oh, no. You don't get to make nice after what you did today, after all those awful things he said about your mommy, huh, Connor? No, when he's no better. You know what they say about sinners who live in glass houses.

Billy: Invest in thicker curtains?

Anita: You know, Billy, I really am sorry that it didn't work out with you and Chelsea. But you never really stood a chance. Her heart still belongs to Adam.

Billy: No accounting for taste.

Anita: Well, I guess I'll leave you to it.

Billy: Anita, um... do you mind if I say goodbye?

Anita: I guess it can't hurt, can it, honey?

Billy: Hey, buddy.

Anita: Here we go. Here we go.

Billy: I missed you.

Anita: I'm gonna be upstairs if you need me.

Billy: We'll have some of these, too.

Anita: Yeah. There you go.

Billy: [Sniffs] So, uh, I wanted to talk to you for a minute if I could, 'cause, um...I'm not gonna be living here anymore. That's the way the world works sometimes, you know? Things change, and, uh... [Sighs] Listen, we don't have to forget, do we? You, um... you will always have a really special place in my life, 'cause every time I would look into your eyes... I see my...my beautiful little girl. And you saw me through some really tough times. Yeah. [Sniffles] So, um... some years may pass, and your memories of me may start to fade, but... I'm never gonna forget you. Okay, you will always be right here. Forever. And it was an honor to be your daddy. [Sniffles] Yeah.

Adam: The, uh, train wreck that was Chelsea's wedding, that was on Billy, not me.

Nick: The way I heard it, he's not the one who did the cheating.

Adam: Mm-hmm. Why do you suppose she stepped out on him? Why do you think that happened? 'Cause he never made her happy. Not completely. It's hard to do that when you got one foot out the door, and that's what he was -- one foot out the door waiting for Victoria, right, just hoping that she'd become available. That's -- what is that? Chelsea deserves somebody who loves her absolutely.

Nick: And the way you love someone, you control them, stalk them? You're just a selfish bastard. You don't care who you destroy in life as long as you get what you want. And, you know, the next time my dad asks me about you, that's exactly what I'm gonna tell him.

Kevin: That's why we've come to you. You may be the one person who can convince Paul to drop the case.

Dylan: Good luck with that. He just threw me out of his office.

Noah: As soon as you show him the doctored video, he's gonna have to take you seriously.

Kevin: All you have to do is get him to call a cyber forensic expert to prove that the footage was messed with.

Dylan: Oh, that's -- that's it?

Kevin: It's not as complicated as it sounds. You just call in someone to look at the hard drive.

Dylan: What?

Kevin: Ed. He's the expert. He can trace the origin of the file, find out when and how it was altered, and for him, it'd be child's play.

Dylan: For Ed?

Kevin: Yes.

Dylan: Well, why don't you -- why don't you do it?

Kevin: I could. It'd be child's play for me, too. The thing is, Ed is the expert. He has credentials. He can get on the witness stand and testify. I've been on the witness stand a couple times. It never goes very well.

Dylan: Kevin, why don't you talk to Paul about this?

Kevin: He and I aren't exactly on the best of terms right now. I don't think he was happy that I tried to thwart a murder investigation.

Dylan: Yeah, he is sensitive about stuff like that.

Noah: That doesn't even matter, okay? Dylan, you have the strongest connection with Paul.

Dylan: And that's what I'm trying to avoid, okay? I don't want to abuse my relationship with Paul. He's getting pretty tired of me coming to the office saying, "hey, we found a new lead."

Noah: But it's not like we're asking you to do something skeevy here, like get out of a parking ticket, or even bend the rules. We just want him to see the truth. Now, my mom wasn't at summer and Austin's apartment that night, so he didn't kill anybody. You think that's the truth, don't you?

Dylan: Yeah, of course I do. And the facts will come out.

Noah: You said that you would do anything to help my mom.

Dylan: Yes, I did, and I meant it. We just may need to be patient.

Noah: Every day that she's under house arrest is another day that the press can spin a lie about her. It's another day that she has to explain to faith that she can't pick her up from school. Now, that is not gonna be good for her condition, which you know can be a little delicate. So please, Dylan, you want to help my mom? Make Paul see the truth.

Summer: That's what you think of me? That I am such a needy, little girl that I drove Austin to find a bed buddy in Abby?

Kyle: No, summer, I-I... I didn't mean to say that, okay? I'm -- I'm sorry. I don't know what you want from me.

Summer: And I don't know what you want from me, either. You keep telling me that you're gonna protect me from whoever killed Austin and Courtney, but then -- then you turn around and you try to impress me with dinners or -- or gifts, and then you go to leave me to play golf! Okay, honestly, I don't even think I want a damn thing from you, but you keep promising me all these things, and that is the worst thing that you can do, Kyle, 'cause it's gonna make me think that everything is gonna be okay.

[Knock on door]

Abby: [Voice breaking] Hi. I, um, I hope this isn't a bad time. [Sniffles]

Summer: W-what's wrong? Why are you crying?

Abby: Because you're right. I am a horrible person. I fall into bed with all of the wrong people. I never think about the consequences. And this time, I actually thought there was something between stitch and me, something real. I mean, I have never felt this way about anyone before.

Summer: Yeah, I felt that about Austin. You know what happened with that.

Abby: [Sighs]

Kyle: What? You and stitch broke up?

Abby: I don't even know how to answer that 'cause I don't even know if we were together in the first place.

Kyle: There's a lot of that going around.

Summer: Okay, no, that's it. If you're gonna play golf and you're gonna sit here and feel sorry for yourself, then I'm gonna catch up with Kevin and Noah, because unlike you two, I actually care about finding who killed my husband and my best friend.

[Door closes]

Stitch: Abby caught me off guard with her declaration. And then when she gave me an opening to tell her how I feel --

Ashley: You didn't take it.

Stitch: Look, you're the one who almost fired me for getting too personal in the workplace. I was trying to keep things professional.

Ashley: So, what the hell are you doing? This is my daughter, and I don't want to see her hurt.

Stitch: That's what I've been doing for weeks now -- trying to keep Abby from getting hurt.

Ashley: You don't get this, right, because you are not doing a very good job of it.

Victor: Hello.

Ashley: Hello.

Victor: Is Victoria in her office?

Ashley: She's in her office. Yes, in her office.

Victor: Okay. So sorry to interrupt you.

Victoria: Oh, no, that's all right.

Victor: Some good news to you. Chelsea has agreed to design for Newman-Abbott after all.

Victoria: Really?

Victor: Yes.

Victoria: Even knowing that I'll be overseeing everything?

Chelsea: Your father assured me I'll have creative control on all final decisions.

Victor: I am sure the two of you can forge a very good working relationship, all right?

Victoria: All right. If you think this is for the best.

Victor: Okay. I'll leave you to it.

Chelsea: I've brought some sketches for you if you'd like to look them over.

Victoria: Why bother if we're just gonna do it your way? I hope these are a little more stylish than your last line. I know there's a lot of girls in the office that like that cutesy look, but I would never wear it.

Chelsea: I'm sorry. I didn't realize I was designing clothes for you.

Victoria: You couldn't even if you tried. I like my clothes with a little class.

Chelsea: Your father promised me I would be treated with respect.

Victoria: Respect? Like the respect that you showed Billy when you had sex with your next-door neighbor?

Adam: Hello?

Billy: Moving in now?

Adam: The door was open.

Billy: I guess Anita left it that way when she took off with Connor.

Adam: Took off with Connor? Where'd they go?

Billy: They went to the park, Gabe. Kids like to go to the park. Maybe that's something you'll learn when you have kids of your own instead of latching on to somebody else's.

Adam: Right. So he's okay?

Billy: No, Gabe, he's not okay. His mother's supposed to be married. We're supposed to be living here happily, but you screwed that up. And now that little boy's world has been blown apart. And he doesn't have a father -- again.

Adam: Damn it, man. You actually think that you were that little boy's father? Hmm? You were the one that latched on. You were a substitute, Billy, like a babysitter. You changed his diapers and you give him toys. Big deal. Tomorrow he's gonna be smiling again. Six weeks from now, you'll be some -- some distant memory, a faceless blob that occupied space in his mother's bed, space that rightfully belonged to his real father, by the way.

Billy: You shut the hell up about Connor's real father. That kid is damn lucky he'll never know that guy. And as for you, stay the hell away from that boy, 'cause the last thing he needs is to have his mother parading her latest conquest in front of his face, although I have no doubt that Chelsea will do just that.

Adam: You are a real son of a bitch. You know that?

Billy: [Chuckles]

Adam: You're gonna judge her like that? Do you have any idea why she came running to me, Billy? You ever think about that? She caught you with your tongue down your ex-wife's throat! That's why!

Victoria: How could you do this to Billy? He helped you after Adam died. He's been raising Connor as his own, and this is how you repay him? By cheating on him?

Chelsea: Look who's talking. The woman who had her lips all over Billy. Yeah, I saw you. So don't go preaching to me about being a good person when you're the one who's been trying to seduce my fiancé.

Victoria: It was one kiss.

Chelsea: Oh, like hell it was, Victoria!

Victoria: And Billy pulled away because of his commitment to you!

Chelsea: Commitment?! Billy was never fully committed to me because he was too busy waiting for his opening with you, and boy, did you give it to him.

Victoria: Just shows me how dirty your mind is. You know, Billy was Connor's one shot at a decent life.

Chelsea: Do not mention my son's name! Don't! Don't ever mention his name!

Ashley: Knock it off! What is going on in here?

Chelsea: Why don't you ask the bitch that stole your office? I'm done here.

Victoria: Oh, are you quitting?

Chelsea: Victoria, I wouldn't give you the satisfaction. You are stuck with me, and I'm gonna make your life a living hell.

Victoria: [Sighs]

Kyle: So, stitch didn't say anything?

Abby: And we all know what that means. "Bye-bye, Abby. Have a nice life."

Kyle: Yeah. I'm getting the same vibe from summer right now. It's definitely not how it used to be.

Abby: Before you thought you were brother and sister?

Kyle: Yes, actually. You know, it was just more fun before that. It was so relaxed and laid back and, you know, we had a good time together.

Abby: She was practically a kid back then. She followed you around. She worshipped you.

Kyle: Yeah. Why can't it be like that again?

Abby: Because summer's grown up a lot. She's had to. She's been through a lot the past couple of years, made some difficult decisions, and she's been hurt.

Kyle: By people very close to her.

Abby: True. Um... but what I'm saying is -- is that if you want a relationship with summer, then it's gonna take more than expensive gifts and fancy nights out on the town. You've got to get real.

Kyle: You really think I can do that?

Abby: [Chuckles] Honestly, Kyle, I don't know. But you should try. She needs you right now. She's a mess, which is totally understandable after watching your murdered husband tumble out of an armoire. I am just so happy the police have taken that out of our hands, especially since Courtney was killed because she found out something that the murderer didn't want anyone to know.

Kevin: Hey. Where's Kyle?

Summer: You wouldn't believe me if I told you.

Kevin: Volunteering at a soup kitchen? Playing bingo at a nursing home?

Summer: No, he is at my apartment with Abby.

Kevin: What's unbelievable about that? Hanging out with Abby would be third on my list after gazing at himself in a mirror and golfing.

Noah: [Chuckles] What are they doing?

Summer: It's what they're not doing that's bothering me. I mean, shouldn't we be trying to find this killer now that we know it's not Sharon? They're acting like it's not even important, and it should be the most important thing in all of our lives right now. I'm really starting to question Kyle's priorities.

Noah: Well, maybe he's not the guy that you thought he was. Maybe it's time to reevaluate the relationship with Kyle Abbott.

Nick: Hey.

Summer: Hi.

Nick: I got your text. What's so urgent?

Noah: We got proof that mom is innocent.

Dylan: Hey.

Paul: Now what?

Dylan: Well, since I saw you, there's been a development in the case.

Paul: A development? You haven't been gone five minutes.

Dylan: Kevin. Kevin got onto something --

Paul: Kevin?! What do I have to do to get all of you to stay out of this?!

Dylan: Just check your computer. There's surveillance video outside Austin's apartment the night he was killed. It'll tell you everything that you need to know.

Paul: I can't. It's impossible.

Dylan: That timestamp can't be right. Somebody's duping us, Paul.

Paul: I am trying to tell you I can't look at the footage because our computer system has been compromised. And Austin's computer has been stolen, the same one that Sharon tried to rip off.

Dylan: How -- how does that even happen in a police station?

Paul: A very good question. If I knew the answer to that, I'd probably be certain of the killer, too, wouldn't I? Why are you so sure that Sharon is innocent?

Dylan: Come on, Paul! Sharon didn't do this! Why would anyone bother to try to steal evidence if you already have the killer? Why? Because there's something on that computer that will free Sharon and incriminate somebody else! You owe it to Sharon, you owe it to me, and you owe it to the victims to find it!

Nick: Look, I hear what you're saying, but I think you may be getting carried away.

Noah: Are you that angry with mom that you're just willing to throw logic out the window, dad? What we're telling you makes sense.

[Cell phone rings]

Noah: It's Dylan. Dylan, hey. Yeah, I'm here with, uh, Summer and my dad and Kevin right now. Hold on, I'll put you on speaker, okay? All right, what's happening? Did you talk to Paul?

Dylan: Yeah, I brought him up to speed about everything.

Noah: So he's on board?

Dylan: To a point. He wasn't exactly able to look at the evidence because the GCPD computer got compromised and Austin's laptop is missing.

Noah: Are you --

Kevin: Missing?

Dylan: I know that it's a blow to the case, but at least Paul's willing to -- to consider that there's another suspect out there. Look, I got -- I got to go. I'll be in touch.

Summer: Oh, my god. The killer did this. They took that evidence.

Kevin: Somebody realizes we're on to him, that we know he's framing Sharon.

Noah: Dad, come on. You have to admit some of this makes sense.

Stitch: Hey, mind if I come in? I was hoping to talk to Abby.

Kyle: Oh, it's a little late for that, don't you think?

Stitch: Let me ask you something. You actually think about what you're gonna say before you open your mouth or you just go with the first stupid thing that pops through that stupid brain of yours?

Abby: It's okay, Kyle. What do you want?

[Door closes]

Stitch: Some privacy.

Kyle: Take care of yourself.

Stitch: Hey, look, um, back in the lab, I didn't -- I didn't handle that in the best manner.

Abby: I got the message. You don't think there's a chance for us.

Stitch: But I do. I think you and I could have something really, really good.

Victoria: If this keeps up, I guess we can start selling tickets.

Ashley: [Sighs] Chelsea deserved it. What she did, I mean, she betrayed my brother, and if you hadn't told her off, I would have. Well done, by the way.

Victoria: It's probably the nicest thing you've said to me in awhile.

Ashley: Yeah, well, we've been having some problems. But you were always a very good match for Billy, and I'm sorry things didn't work out for you two.

Billy: You know what, man? I'm sick of it. I don't want to hear another word out of you.

Adam: What are you gonna do? You gonna hit me again? Huh? Do it. Hit me again. It'll give me a reason to have your ass thrown in jail where you belong.

Chelsea: Wait. You -- you hit him? What were you thinking?

Billy: I don't know. Take a guess. This guy has had an agenda from the beginning. I mean, that was no surprise. But you? You really fooled me. I honestly thought that you had changed, but you're the same piece of trash you always have been.

Adam: Don't talk to her like that, man.

Billy: Those words that you said to me, how you trusted me, how you loved me, if you really trusted me, you'd have known that nothing happened between me and Victoria. And if you loved me, you never would have thrown yourself at this son of a --

Chelsea: Billy --

Billy: Did it make you feel better? Did it? I know everything I need to know about this relationship. I was another mark in a long con for you.

Adam: Sorry.

Chelsea: Everything he said about me is true.

Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Victor: You arrogant jackass. You do not undo what I have worked so hard to build up.

Kyle: Where do you get off talking to my dad like that?

Kelly: [Groans]
