Tucker: Ohh, look at those big brown eyes. Yeah. Those are gonna get you a lot of female attention, you know that, Buddy?
Sofia: You know, I had it in my head that once I saw him, I'd be able to tell whether Malcolm or Neil was the father, but... (Sighs)
Dr. Manchester: I'm sorry. You have company.
Sofia: Oh, no. I-it's okay. Tucker knows all about the paternity test, if that's why you're here.
Dr. Manchester: We'll have your test results this morning.
Sofia: I guess I have to tell Malcolm and Neil. Thank you, Dr. Manchester.
Tucker: Yeah. Well, Sof, you're gonna get your answer. So tell me, who do you want to be the father?
Neil: So, uh, Tucker apologized, and you felt like he was sincere?
Devon: I think he genuinely felt bad that I had to go through so much crap growin' up. He wished he would have done more to try and find me.
Devon: But, uh, you know, does that mean that he suddenly morphed into the kind of guy that would do that and put his kid's needs ahead of his own? I don't know.
Lily: Well, it's true. I mean, people can be sorry they've hurt you and not willing or able to change.
Neil: Yeah, that's for sure.
(Cell phone rings)
Neil: Oh, excuse me. (Sighs) Oh. Yeah, hi. (Sighs) What? Okay. I'll be over in a little while. Thanks. (Clears throat) So, Honey, when you talk about people needing to change, are you referring to Cane?
Lily: I don't know. Maybe I'm just overreacting to things.
Neil: No, no, no, no, no, no. Don't do that, okay? If your intuition is telling you that he's hiding something, he probably is.
Lily: And what if my intuition's telling me that you're hiding something? Who was that on the phone?
Neil: That was Sofia. We're finding out this morning whether Moses is my son or Malcolm's.
Malcolm: Yeah, all right. All right, see you soon. (Sighs)
Phyllis: Are you going back to the hospital?
Malcolm: Yeah. (Sighs)
Phyllis: This is a gorgeous baby.
Malcolm: Sure is.
Phyllis: Oh, my gosh.
Phyllis: Are you still mad at me? Just a little?
Phyllis: Are you mad at me for writing that story about Tucker and Devon in "Restless Style"?
Malcolm: Mm, well, I mean, I'm not exactly happy about it. No. But that's not what's bothering me most right now.
Phyllis: What's bothering you?
Malcolm: You know, I probably would tell you, Phyllis, if I felt like I could trust you or confide in you.
Phyllis: Okay, okay. Yes, you can. Here, listen, you can confide in me. I am sorry. What I did was wrong. I crossed the line. I shouldn't have crossed the line.
Phyllis: I should not have done it. And I promise you from this day forward, everything... everything you tell me is off record.
Malcolm: Apology accepted.
Phyllis: Great. So what's wrong with you? On a day like today, you should be over the moon.
Malcolm: I should be, but... (Sighs) This baby might not be mine, Phyllis. We took a paternity test, and we're finding out the results today.
Phyllis: I-I don't--
Phyllis: I don't-- I don't get that. How--how could Sofia...
Malcolm: (Sighs) Well...
Phyllis: I don't--
Malcolm: (Chuckles) We were-- we were having some issues, you know, when I was giving he a hard time about keeping secrets from me. (Sighs) How's that for irony? (Chuckles) Neil just swooped right on in there--
Phyllis: Oh, wait, wait. Wait a second. Wait. Neil swooped in?
Malcolm: Yep. Neil.
Dr. Larson: These latest test results are telling us the remission induction therapy did exactly what it was supposed to.
Chloe: (Sighs) So--so you're saying that Delia is cancer-free?
Dr. Larson: To keep her that way, we'll do the bone marrow transplant.
Dr. Larson: Today.
Chloe: Today? Today? What do you mean, today?
Dr. Larson: Sooner is better.
Chloe: Um, o-okay. Uh, okay, I-I just haven't prepared her for that, but this is fantastic news, so, um, oh, my Go-- I mean, should I contact Kevin? What should we do?
Dr. Larson: My staff's making all the arrangements.
Chloe: Thank you.
Victoria: Thank you.
Chloe: (Sighs) I-I just can't believe that Billy isn't here, you know? He might make her laugh, and she just wouldn't be so scared.
Victoria: You're doing fine all on your own.
Chloe: I don't think that I've told you lately that I am really, really appreciative for you filling in for your lousy husband.
Billy: Victor had those divorce papers drawn up, not Victoria. They weren't signed. He's just messing with my head again.
Kevin: I don't know.
Billy: You don't know. Of course you don't know. I mean, you don't even talk to Victoria. When's the last time you talked to her?
Kevin: Well, last night, actually. Just for a minute, though.
Billy: Yeah? Well, I mean, what'd she say? Did she--she talk about me?
Kevin: Well, she didn't-- she didn't, uh, mention a divorce specifically.
Kevin: She did mention that she needed to move on. And I told her, I said, you know, that she shouldn't rush it.
Billy: You did, huh?
Kevin: Don't. Don't start thinking that you can send messages in code through me or anything. I'm already way more involved in this thing than I want to be.
Billy: I hear ya.
Victor: Well, I have some good news. Delia's transplant will take place today. That means that you, Kevin, can go back to your regularly scheduled life, and you can remove yourself from ours.
Billy: So Dr. Larson's in on it now. What happened to Dr. Renner? I thought you said he was the best of the best.
Victor: Regrettably, Dr. Renner had to back out, okay? Dr. Larsen will do the procedure. I made a generous contribution to her clinic, and she'll make it seem as if the bone marrow will be donated by Kevin.
Kevin: When it's really Billy's. Well, I guess I should get to the hospital then, right?
Billy: Hey, Man. Look, you're feelin' a little weird about this. I get it.
Kevin: Well, I'm not gonna bail.
Billy: No, I know you're-- I know you're not gonna bail, Man. I've seen how far you're willing to go for Chloe, and I appreciate it. That's all.
Kevin: Well, good luck with the surgery, and, uh... good luck.
Victor: You realize it's imperative that everything go smoothly.
Billy: Oh, I'm well aware. That's the only reason why I'm here is for my daughter.
Victor: I made that possible, more so than Kevin, and don't you ever forget it.
Billy: Okay. What, are you expecting a little gratitude?
Victor: I don't expect a damn thing from you. Let's get ready. Let's go to the hospital.
Phyllis: I cannot believe that you allowed Neil in the delivery room. I cannot believe that. There must have been a lot of tension.
Malcolm: You know, we put it aside for the baby's sake.
Phyllis: Well, that's incredible.
Phyllis: It just shows what kind of person you are. It shows what kind of father you'd be.
Malcolm: If I get the chance.
Phyllis: Is that what you want?
Malcolm: You know... (Sighs) I thought I could hold back my feelings until... we actually found out who Moses' father really is, but...
Phyllis: It didn't work out that way, yeah.
Malcolm: Phyllis, I should have never held him.
Phyllis: I know. It changes everything, doesn't it?
Malcolm: It's gonna be very hard, real hard, if it turns out that baby's not mine.
Phyllis: Okay, odds are the baby is yours. And if that's the case, are you just gonna visit at Sofia's?
Malcolm: I'd never want to leave.
Phyllis: Well, you said there was no hope for the marriage.
Phyllis: But... could that change?
Malcolm: I just-- I couldn't imagine myself turning my back on my family.
Phyllis: Because of the baby.
Malcolm: No, because I'm still in love with Sofia.
Tucker: It's okay, Sof. (Sighs) You don't have to tell me who you're rootin' for to win the "Daddy sweepstakes."
Sofia: (Chuckles) Tucker, don't joke.
Tucker: Mm. The fact that you don't want to say, that kind of tells me everything I need to now.
Sofia: Well, I don't want to talk about it, because it's an awkward situation.
Tucker: It's time to stop bein' embarrassed. You've gifted this planet with Moses. That's something to be proud of.
Sofia: I also caused the Winters family a lot of pain, and that's definitely gonna affect my child.
Tucker: Well, you could have kept the secret, lived a lie, but your father didn't raise you to take the easy way out.
Sofia: No, he didn't.
Tucker: Listen, Darling, no matter what those D.N.A. tests say, "Little Mo" is gonna be just fine, 'cause he's got you.
Lily: Now listen, I was very shocked to hear about you and Sofia. But, you know, I'm gonna love Moses like crazy, right?
Devon: And I promise, no sibling rivalry if the baby turns out to be yours.
Neil: (Chuckles) Let's not get ahead of ourselves, all right? (Chuckles)
Devon: Oh, come on now. I know you've thought about it-- what it'd be like to have a-a kid that's yours genetically.
Lily: Yeah, it wouldn't be an issue for us.
Neil: It'd be a big issue for Malcolm, though.
Devon: Hey, Dad, if Sofia wasn't married to Malcolm, would you--
Neil: Sofia is Malcolm's wife, all right? Now I'm not spending any more time playing "What if." I've gotta get to the hospital.
Devon: All right.
Neil: Talk to you.
Lily: Yeah, I gotta go, too, and get the twins, so thanks for the coffee.
Devon: Of course.
Lily: But I've gotta be somewhere else.
Neil: (Clears throat) Whoa. Katherine.
Kay: I'd like to speak to Devon, if I may.
Neil: Well, that is completely up to Devon. Lily and I were just leaving. Lily?
Lily: Yeah. Um...
Neil: After you.
Kay: Can we talk? (Clears throat) Uh, Devon, I cannot blame you for being upset with me, but, uh, I-I don't see how you can cheat yourself out of the opportunities. I mean, why shouldn't you start your own record company?
Devon: 'Cause I don't want to be associated with you, that's why.
Kay: Associated? (Sighs) Darling, Darling, sweet Devon, you are my grandson. Now whether you come to work for me or not, I mean, the fact you're my grandson, that will always be true.
Kay: I remember how excited you were making plans for the company and the new bands you were going to hire.
Devon: Yeah. I was a lot less exited when I found out that you were just using me to get back at Tucker.
Kay: No, no, that-- that is not-- that is not the case at all. If you really believe I have no appreciation of your talent, uh, here's your chance. Prove me wrong.
Devon: What are you doing? What, are you really trying to use reverse psychology on me right now?
Kay: Indeed, I am. Is it working?
Harmony: Are there any openings here? I have experience as a waitress.
Man: There you go.
Harmony: Oh, thanks.
Tucker: Something with grapefruit, please. So you're lookin' for work, huh? (Sighs) Does that mean you're plannin' on stickin' around for a while?
Harmony: It's not polite to eavesdrop.
Tucker: Well, it wasn't intentional.
Tucker: You have a tendency to think the worst of me. It's too bad, because the misunderstanding that made you cut me out of my son's life might never have happened if you had given me a chance.
Harmony: Oh, I'm not convinced it was a misunderstanding.
Tucker: Well, you see there? Uh, you just proved my point. I was a selfish bastard. I admit it. But I would like to... make up for it in some way if I could, if you'll let me. Let's start with this. I think...this'll help you out. If you... think you need to get a job right away...
Tucker: You don't. There we go. That's for you.
Harmony: Very generous. Are there strings attached?
Tucker: I'm gonna ask you to leave town--today.
Chloe: So how long did they say you were gonna be out?
Kevin: Uh, I don't remember. You should go and be with Delia. Okay? Don't worry about me.
Chloe: He's afraid he's gonna say something all mushy while he's under the influence.
Victoria: (Laughs) Well, nothing you could do at this point would make us think less of you. You have achieved hero status.
Chloe: A-and you've completely restored my faith in men, which is close to impossible.
Victoria: Oh, I was gonna ask the nurses if maybe they'd give you a little something to help you relax.
Chloe: That's-- that's a good idea. I'll just go ask Dr. Larson.
Kevin: No, no, no, don't bother Dr. Larson. She's got enough to worry bout right now. I'm fine. (Sighs)
Dr. Larson: For the record, I am not at all comfortable with this arrangement.
Billy: Well, the goal here is to cure Delia, right? We're makin' that happen, and if this is the way Victor wants it, then that's the way we're gonna have to do it right now.
Dr. Larson: I'd like to speak to Mr. Abbott alone, explain the procedure.
Victor: You certainly can. Come with me. Make sure no one comes in to see him, and conversely, don't let him get out of there, okay?
Dr. Larson: I have to ask, are you here against your will?
Billy: (Laughs) Am I here against my will? I have done a lot of thing lately against my will, but they've all been to get right here. We're gonna save my daughter today, okay? So let's make this happen.
Cane: Hey, it's me. Uh, give me a call when you can. I want to talk to you about something, all right? Um, bye. Hey.
Lily: Hi. Sorry we're interrupting you.
Cane: No, no, no. You're not interrupting. I was just, you know, leaving a message.
Lily: Oh. For who?
Cane: Oh, it doesn't matter it's just not important.
Lily: You were calling your father?
Tucker: That should be enough for you to make a fresh start back home... (Sighs) Or somewhere else.
Harmony: Mm-hmm. I know it doesn't matter to you where I go, as long as you don't have to deal with me.
Tucker: Now don't take it like that.
Harmony: Well, what other way is there to take it, Mick? You haven't changed at all.
Tucker: Whatever you say. Listen, I just want to spend some time gettin' to know my son. Now he's already got Katherine trying to manipulate him.
Harmony: (Laughs) And I know you can't pay her off.
Tucker: That's not what this is. I'm not trying to pay you off.
Harmony: Oh, you know what? Just--just save it you know what? I remember that you used to be really good with the words, 'cause that's how you convinced me that I was somebody special to you. But, you see, I'm a little bit wiser now. You know, just... (Stammers) It don't matter how you try to spin this. I know that you want me gone because I'm in your way. Too damn bad, because I have missed out on a big chunk of Devon's life, and I'm back here to make up for it, the same as you. And I have just as much right to do that as you. Now I might not have as much money, but he doesn’t need money. He needs love. And that is one thing that I know I have more of than you.
Kay: Well, I don't really think you're being fair to me.
Devon: Is this thing on? I'm not bein' fair to you?
Kay: Well, when you say, um, I have no genuine interest in your career. I mean, don't I, um, have a history of supporting young people, you know? I mean, after all, I am putting Ana through music school.
Devon: Okay, so what are you trying to say, though? If--you're gonna stop if I don't do what you want?
Kay: No, stop it. Would you stop that? I mean, I would never do that. I'm simply here... (Clears throat) I am simply here to try and find a way to make things right...
Kay: Between you and me. I mean, can you understand we're family? That... that is the bottom line.
Devon: I understand that, but I think you're forgettin' who you're talkin' to. I've had to cut family out of my life before.
Kay: I hardly see any comparison between me and Yolanda.
Devon: Well, you both did show up on my doorstep full of apologies.
Kay: Your mother was here?
Devon: Yeah, she was here. She saw her, uh, her picture in the tabloids, thought there might be something in it for her.
Kay: I promise you I'm going to try and find a way to restore your trust in me.
Phyllis: Oh, my God. He's so adorable. Those cheeks--adorable.
Sofia: Thank you.
Phyllis: I love the name, too--Moses.
Phyllis: It's very bold, classic.
Sofia: Well, I named him after my father. You know, I think he looks like him, too. I have his baby pictures at home. I should have brought 'em with me, but...
Malcolm: Well, we'll have to compare it to this one.
Sofia: Oh, my God. Thank you for taking this, Malcolm. I love it. (Sighs)
Phyllis: Mm. Um, I'm gonna get some coffee. Do you need anything?
Sofia: He's fine. She knows?
Malcolm: Well, I had to talk to someone. (Sighs)
Sofia: It's okay. Its okay, Malcolm. I was worried you wouldn't have anyone to talk to if things didn't turn out the way we were hoping, but...
Malcolm: (Sighs) Look, Sofia, you don't have to say that I know you want Neil to be the father.
Sofia: (Scoffs) Don't talk like that. Please, Malcolm. You are a wonderful man, and I will be grateful and happy if--if you are Moses' father.
Malcolm: Yeah, well, if you had any doubts on what kind of father I'd be because of the way things have gone down or because of... how I bailed when I found out that I was Lily's father--
Sofia: No, I don't. I don't have any doubt.
Malcolm: Yeah. I did... until now. That little man over there is gonna get everything... everything I have to give.
Malcolm: What? What you sayin' over there, Little Man, huh? You hear us talking about you? You got something you want to say? Come here.
Malcolm: Look at him.
Sofia: Hey, Sweetie.
Malcolm: Aw, look at that little man.
Lily: I cannot believe this. I cannot believe that you are doing this again.
Cane: You are making more out of his than what it is.
Lily: The lying, Cane, is what broke up our marriage and put our children in danger.
Cane: I would never do anything to hurt those babies. You know that.
Lily: They were almost kidnapped. We would have never seen them again. It's like you refuse to be honest with me. I-if you can't trust me with the truth, then I can't trust you. You know what? I really wanted Matty and Charlie to have you in their lives. But you cannot be what they need you to be. And I'm sorry, but I don't want you to see them anymore.
Kevin: So somebody who was really coming out of surgery would be what? Disoriented?
Dr. Larson: Just like you're drunk. Let it wear off after a few hours.
Kevin: Would I be in any pain?
Dr. Larson: Lower back, about a week.
Kevin: A week? (Scoffs)
Chloe: Hi. You feel okay?
Kevin: You should be with Delia.
Chloe: You know what? She's, uh, she's actually on her way over here to see you. She's gonna take a little detour, but I promise, she will be right on schedule for the O.R.
Dr. Larson: That's fine.
Chloe: Okay. (Sighs) I brought you a little something. I don't know how to say thank you. (Chuckles) I mean, what you're doing... if I didn't have Delia in my life, I would... I'm not gonna go there. I'm not gonna go there. (Chuckles)
Victoria: Oh, there he is.
Chloe: Oh. (Laughs)
Victoria: We found him. Hi.
Chloe: Hey. Hey, "Speed Racer." That was quick. So do you have his present? You have it? Okay, give it to him. (Chuckles) How great is that?
Victoria: That's how we all see you.
Billy: (Sighs) Are you--are-- are--are--are you kidding me, Man? Are you everywhere?
Victor: We won't be seeing much more of each other, thankfully. Cordelia is now receiving your bone marrow, okay?
Billy: I want to see her.
Victor: Out of the question.
Billy: Victor, you're doing all this to protect your daughter.
Billy: I can't even see mine? She has cancer.
Victor: She no longer has cancer, okay? Thanks to you, it'll hopefully stay that way for a long time. You have done the right thing, Billy, and you'll continue to do the right thing. As soon as Cordelia recuperates sufficiently from the bone marrow transplant, you'll be leaving town, all right?
Kay: You, um, do you have somewhere to stay?
Harmony: I have a place in Milwaukee. I'm just passin' through.
Kay: Well, that doesn't really answer my question.
Harmony: Give your charity to someone who needs it, Mrs. Chancellor.
Kay: Well, this isn't charity, and we're not exactly strangers, Ms. Hamilton. No, um, we're, uh, we're family, and I believe it would ease my grandson's mind to know that you had a safe lace to stay. Uh, right now, I would do almost anything to, uh, help him through this very difficult time. Now that gives us something in common, doesn't it?
Tucker: (Sighs) (Clears throat)
Devon: (Sighs) Hi.
Tucker: Hey. How'd you know I was here?
Devon: I didn't know you were here. I just came to get something to eat. Uh, can I get a menu, please? Thank you.
Tucker: Well, hey, maybe we can have lunch together.
Devon: What is this?
Tucker: Um, I ran into your mother earlier. I offered to help her out.
Devon: She turned you down?
Tucker: I'm afraid I offended her pride. I didn't mean to.
Devon: (Sighs) You and Katherine, Man. You guys are so much alike. It's ridiculous just thinkin' that throwin' money at people is gonna win 'em over.
Tucker: Hey, Devon? You know, uh... (Clears throat) I'm guessin' you get your suspicious streak from your mother. But there is such a thing as simple generosity.
Devon: Well, Tucker, I don't need your money, and apparently, neither does Harmony Hamilton. So how about you take your cash and shove it?
Neil: So you, uh, you want me to find the doctor? See how much longer we have to wait for the results, or--
Malcolm: It's cool, Man. Just sit tight. They'll get here when they get here. (Sighs)
Neil: How are you feelin'?
Sofia: A little overwhelmed.
Neil: I know what you mean.
Malcolm: You hear that, Man? You hear them talkin'? I know you hear 'em talkin', like they're overwhelmed. You--you were minding your own business where it was nice and warm and quiet. Then they popped you out here into this cold, cruel world. That's overwhelming. But don't you worry, Little Man. We gonna look out for you. We got you. We got you.
Dr. Manchester: Hi.
Sofia: Is that, um--
Dr. Manchester: Yes, this is the test results.
Dr. Manchester: All right, Moses' father... is Neil.
Next on "The Young and the Restless" --
Avery: Adam, if you can save Sharon, for God sake, now is the time to do it.
Phyllis: I have a question.
Phyllis: What's going on between you and Avery?
Malcolm: I want a divorce.
