Phyllis: listen, I am so sorry that Jack and I were still out of town during Cane's funeral.
Malcolm: Yeah, but thanks for the flowers.
Malcolm: I mean, Lily really appreciated 'em. She did. She was--she was happy to know that so many people really cared, you know?
Phyllis: I can't imagine what she's going through.
Malcolm: (Sighs) She's taking it hard. I mean, she really is. She's going through it, and we're trying to be there for her.
Malcolm: As much as we can, anyway.
Phyllis: So-- so the burial is today?
Malcolm: Well, um, the ground was too frozen to do it the day of the service.
Phyllis: Oh, okay. All right. Hey, you know what? I'd like to go with you.
Malcolm: Mm. I'm not goin', Phyllis.
Phyllis: Why not?
Malcolm: Lily just decided she wants to be alone for the interment.
Phyllis: Oh. Oh. No, no, that's not a good idea.
Malcolm: Oh, you don't have to convince me. But none of the family can talk her out of it.
Neil: Hey, Lily. I-I can't let you bury Cane by yourself today.
Lily: Dad, we have been over this, okay? I want to say good-bye to my husband without everyone watching and hovering over me. I mean, I know that you guys mean well, okay? But I just need to do this privately.
Neil: No, I-I-I understand. I do. But you're not gonna know how you feel until you get there.
Neil: Let me come, all right? Let me be there. I'll be right there if you need me, okay?
Lily: Well, who's gonna babysit the twins?
Neil: I'll call Jill. What are grandmothers for?
Jill: It just seems wrong to put Cane in the ground without his whole family there. (Sighs)
(Cell phone rings)
Neil: Hello, Jill, it's Neil.
Jill: Please tell me Lily's changed her mind about the burial.
Neil: Actually, I'm going with her to the cemetery.
Jill: Oh, fantastic. I was hoping she'd come to her senses. All right, well, we'll see you there soon, then.
Neil: Um, she still doesn't want anyone else, Jill.
Jill: (Sighs) I see. Well, is there something I can do, Neil?
Neil: I was hoping you could watch the twins.
Jill: He wants me to watch the babies.
Colin: We'll do it together.
Jill: No, you don't have to do it.
Colin: No, no, no, no. I'll clear my schedule. Don't worry.
Jill: Okay, Neil, that's fine. That's fine, and we'll be right over.
Nick: You are a damn liar. You can't even keep all your stories straight. You weren't in Telluride the night Skye died.
Victor: (Sighs) Where was I?
Nick: You were in Hawaii, which means you had something to do with Skye's disappearance, and I'm betting you also know something about the night she died, which means instead of coming forward to help Sharon, you're willing to let her face charges for murder.
Victor: I wouldn't let any harm come to Sharon.
Nick: You can't even help yourself. You will crush anything or anyone standing in your way, including your own family, which makes me wonder why I would even think of standing with you in arbitration today against my sisters.
Victor: You're walking down a very dangerous road, Son. You'd better get your facts straight before you continue to accuse me.
Victoria: Thank you. That looks good, like mine.
Jack: Mr. Baldwin, just the man I want to see.
Jack: I hear the, uh, Newmans are headed to arbitration today.
Michael: You heard right.
Jack: "The Mustache" would never agree to binding arbitration unless he was sure he could win. Word is he has a surprise for the girls. Care to share?
Michael: (Chuckles) Last I checked, you weren't part of the lawsuit.
Jack: Nice talkin' with you.
Tucker: So you'll let me know how it goes, won't you?
Victoria: Oh, I will. You have a stake in this arbitration, too, now that I've promised you Beauty of Nature if we win. However, you have to fulfill your end of the promise.
Tucker: Oh, don't you worry. You deliver Beauty of Nature, and I'll merge it with Jabot, form a brand-new entity, and you will be C.E.O.
Victoria: I'm counting on it. And I am extremely confident that my sister and I are gonna win this case.
Tucker: Well, good luck, Darlin'.
Victoria: Thank you.
Tucker: Jack, you gotta give me a call, Man.
Jack: Yeah, we have a lot to talk about.
Tucker: Talk to you later.
Jack: Well, things seemed pretty intense between you and Tucker-- almost, uh, conspiratorial.
Jack: I understand he has a job for you. What's the offer?
Abby: Mediation was an epic failure, so I'm not gonna do that again.
Daniel: What was that thing today?
Abby: Oh, um, it was arbitration. It's instead of a long court case. The decision is final.
Daniel: Well, at least you won't be 50 and grumpy when you get your money.
Abby: Uh, if I get my money. Losing isn't exactly in my father's dictionary.
Daniel: Buy him a new dictionary when you win.
Abby: (Sighs) What if he never talks to me again?
Daniel: Mom pulls the whole "I'm never talking to you" thing again from time to time, and it never seems to last too long.
Abby: My father is a champion grudge holder.
Daniel: Yeah. But you're too cute for him to stay mad at you forever. I'm sure he'll chill out.
Abby: Mm, he will never be cool about giving up $3 billion.
Malcolm: The bottom line is if Sofia had just been straight with me about Cane from the jump--
Phyllis: Oh, come on. Please. What could you have done?
Malcolm: Well, I could have handled Blake, for one.
Phyllis: It wouldn't have changed anything, Malcolm. I mean, we'll never know now.
Malcolm: But how can I marry somebody who keeps things like this from me?
Phyllis: Listen to you. Malcolm, people make mistakes.
Phyllis: You should know that. If you love her, you'll get through this.
Malcolm: Yeah, you're right. And I guess I can't really blame her. Cane--Cane's responsible for puttin' his family in danger.
Esther: Yeah, just a few more minutes.
Esther: I'm gonna be right with you.
(Cell phone rings)
Esther: (Stammers) Oh, my goodness. Let's see. My phone. My phone. I--
Phyllis: Esther, you need some help?
Esther: Oh, thank you, Phyllis.
Phyllis: I'm--I'm very good with babies. (Laughs)
Esther: Thank you. Thank you.
Phyllis: Hi, Sweetie. Oh, my gosh. What a pretty girl!
Phyllis: Oh, my goodness!
Esther: Yeah, no, no, I-I'm running errands.
Phyllis: Oh, my goodness.
Esther: What--what-- what do you need? Okay.
Phyllis: Hey, Daniel. Have you met Lucy Abbott?
Esther: I-I need to write it down. Mrs. C., hold--hold on.
Phyllis: Sweet. Look at her! Sweet thing.
Malcolm: Cute little mama. Look at you. Just a cute little rug rat.
Phyllis: (Laughs) Almost as adorable as Daniel was at this age.
Daniel: Don't say that.
Phyllis: What do you mean, "Don't say that"? I can say that. I'm your mom. You were adorable.
Daniel: What--what--what are you doing with her anyway?
Esther: Oh, I-I'm babysitting Lucy.
Phyllis: What's wrong with you? Does it bother you seeing a baby? Does it remind you that you have a kid out there somewhere?
Abby: It has really been in his face lately.
Malcolm: I know what it's like, you know? I mean, havin' a kid out there and, you know, wondering if she's okay, if she's happy.
Daniel: I-I really try not to think about it.
Phyllis: Do you think that's the wisest decision, Daniel? What if Daisy has her? What if Daisy is raising her?
Daniel: What if she isn't?
Phyllis: Well, don't you want to know either way?
Abby: It's really not a bad idea. You won't have it hanging over your head anymore. It's not like you have to claim the baby.
Daniel: Can--can we just leave this alone? Okay?
Abby: I'm not trying to upset you.
Daniel: I'm not upset. I'm--I'm fine. I am fine.
Leslie: Pardon me. Sorry. Hi.
Phyllis: Oh, hey, Leslie. Are you here to serve a cease and desist order on someone?
Leslie: Nice seeing you again, too, Phyllis.
Phyllis: You all know Leslie Michaelson, don't you? She's Vance Abram's protégé.
Daniel: Yeah, we've met.
Malcolm: So have we, but not formally. Malcolm Winters.
Leslie: Hi. Pleasure.
Esther: Uh, I'm Esther Valentine, as in the holiday. (Chuckles)
Leslie: Ms. Valentine, hi. So, Abby, I'm glad I found you. I have some news that could affect today's arbitration.
Abby: What news?
Leslie: Victoria should be a part of this conversation.
Esther: Oh, she-- she's at a meeting at Gloworm. That's where I picked up Lucy.
Leslie: Okay, you mind heading over there?
Abby: No, no, let's go.
Leslie: All right.
Abby: I-I-I'll call you later.
Phyllis: Hmm. So Abby is soldiering on with this lawsuit.
Daniel: Yeah, she wants her money, doesn't want to have to beg her dad for every penny.
Phyllis: Oh. (Sighs) She's going head-to-head with Victor-- brave girl.
Nick: The other times I confronted you, I only had suspicions. This time, I have concrete evidence.
Victor: Oh? What's that?
Nick: One of the other people on that volcano hike with Skye got some video of a man standing alone on a trail. I'll give you one guess who that man was.
Victor: (Laughs) You can't be serious.
Nick: It's dark, and it's for a couple of seconds, but it's enough to know it's you, Dad.
Victor: You have nothing, Son. You've got a blurry image on some video. Does that mean Skye was there? Does that mean Sharon was there? Does that mean it was taken in Hawaii?
Nick: You are incapable of telling the truth to anyone, including me, your son. The mother of my children is facing prison.
Victor: There's not enough evidence against Sharon.
Nick: The D.A. wouldn’t prosecute if they didn't think they had a case.
Victor: Uh-huh. Skye is hardly a credible victim.
Nick: Would you even let it get that far?
Victor: (Exhales) I've done everything I can to help, Son.
Nick: Like hell, you have.
Victor: I paid Sharon's bail, all right?
Nick: You see a problem. You throw some money at it, and hope that it goes away, but, damn it, this time, that is not good enough!
Victor: What would be good enough? To tell them that I was in Hawaii? That that blurry image on that video was me? That Sharon didn't kill Skye? What do you want from me?
Nick: I want you to tell me the truth for the first time. Tell me that you were lying to me and that you let me down, and that you are not the father that I thought you were.
Jack: So you haven't answered my question. What have you got going on with Tucker?
Victoria: Oh, well, he's been floating around this idea of me joining his executive team, and I basically told him that I'm not interested, but he just keeps trying.
Jack: No little side deals I have to concern myself with?
Victoria: You know, I should be asking you the same thing, Jack. I think that Abby would have folded a long time ago if you weren't encouraging her. I think you've put a lot of time and energy into helping her with this lawsuit. What do you get out of it?
Phyllis: Sure, abso-- oh, watch out!
Esther: Hey, little baby.
Phyllis: So doesn't it make you want to find your own daughter after seeing that little baby?
Daniel: Can we please just not talk about this?
Phyllis: Oh, I think we're going to talk about it. I have to pick up Summer right now, but we will discuss this.
Daniel: No, we won't. No.
Phyllis: Mm-hmm, we will. We definitely will.
Daniel: No. (Chuckles)
Phyllis: Talk some sense into my son, please.
Malcolm: All right, I'll try.
Phyllis: Yeah, if you can. Mwah! Bye.
Daniel: Yep, bye. Still gonna be doing this to me when I'm 50?
Malcolm: Hey, Man, she's just lookin' out for you.
Daniel: Oh, okay, here we go. What's your opinion on how Daniel's messin' up his life? Huh? Go ahead. Lay it on me.
Malcolm: Hey, hey, Man. I don't have nothin' to say. I mean, you a grown man. I mean, you make your own decisions, you know? I mean, can't nobody tell you what to do. But I do know one thing-- waiting till your daughter's older to try and establish a relationship with her is not the way, Man. I mean, God, just think of all the years I lost with Lily, Man. I wish I had known she was mine from the start. And I feel like I'm spending every day of my life trying to make it up, Man, you know? (Sighs) From what I hear about, uh, Daisy--
Daniel: Oh. (Chuckles) Daisy. Yeah. No. She's, uh, definitely not mother material.
Malcolm: Mm. Tell me something, Daniel. How you gonna feel when your daughter gets a little bit older and she comes to you and she asks you, "Daddy, why didn't you try to find me?" You know what it's like to be separated from a parent, Man. Didn't it mess with you?
Daniel: Yeah, it did.
Malcolm: I guess there's your answer, Man.
Lily: So Matty is out for the count, but Charlie's a little fussier than his sister. But I find that if you just rock him for a while, he'll usually fall asleep, so don't worry.
Jill: Okay, Honey. Hi, Baby.
Neil: Hey, thanks for stepping in so I could go with Lily.
Jill: Of course.
Colin: Uh, we brought some, uh, orchids for Cane's grave. Uh, they're native to Queensland.
Neil: They're beautiful. It was very thoughtful of you.
Lily: Thank you.
Jill: Darling, could you hold Charlie for a minute, please?
Colin: Oh, yeah. Sure.
Jill: Thank you.
Colin: Hey, there, you.
Jill: Um, I wondered if you would put this in with the flowers for me.
Lily: Yes, of--of course. Listen, um, if it's any consolation, Cane really treasured his relationship with you.
Jill: I was very lucky to have him, even for such a short time.
Neil: Hey, Honey, we should get going.
Lily: Yeah. Okay. All right, bye, Sweetie, okay? You be good. Mwah. I love you, all right?
Colin: Don't worry. This little guy's in good hands.
Jack: Abby came to me asking for my advice. I get the satisfaction of knowing my niece gets what she deserves. If Victor gets hurt in the process, well, so be it.
Abby: (Sighs) Thank God you're here. We have to talk. I think Dad is up to something.
Victoria: Uh, excuse us, Jack, we're--
Abby: No, actually, he's my business advisor.
Victoria: Really? Oh. All right.
Abby: I'd prefer he stay.
Victoria: All right. All right. All right.
Leslie: So I found out the reason your father was so amenable to arbitration. He has a secret weapon, something he feels will guarantee him a victory.
Victoria: Wh-what is it?
Leslie: "Who is it?" Would be the more appropriate question. It's your brother Nicholas.
Abby: Are you freaking kidding me?
Victoria: (Sighs) Hold on a second. Are you sure?
Leslie: He is gonna testify that as one of the participants in the Newman trust, he has no problem with how Victor manages the money.
Victoria: (Scoffs) No.
Abby: Oh, that's just great. That's great. (Scoffs)
Victoria: This doesn't make any--Nick would never do that.
Jack: Unfortunately, your father knows how to play Nick. This should come as no surprise to you two.
Abby: So I-if Nick backs my father...
Leslie: It's a big setback for us.
Nick: You blew it. You know that? By not being straight with me, you blew any chance you had of redeeming yourself.
Victor: I don't have to redeem myself, Son, not to you or anyone else, all right? Everything I've ever done is for my family and this company.
Nick: I wanted to believe that for the longest time. Even after everyone abandoned you, I didn't. I always gave you the benefit of the doubt. And I always said, I told everyone, "You’ll see. My dad'll always be on my side."
Victor: And I always have, and I always will, okay?
Nick: You keep tellin' yourself that. You can tell the whole world that. But right here today, you proved that the only person you're loyal to is yourself.
Victor: Who showed that tape to you, Son? For what purpose? To help Sharon? Or to turn you against me?
Michael: Ahh, good. You're both here. There are a few things we have to go over before today's arbitra-- what? Bad time?
Victor: Son, someone is using you, all right? Someone is turning you against me. Now, um, we need to deal with the matter at hand, okay? You and I will discuss this further later on.
Nick: Oh, yes, because the company always comes first.
Victor: Just realize that your sisters are in the process of wanting to destroy this company that bears your name. It's your future. And you better show up at the arbitration.
Nick: I'll be there.
Tucker: Hey, Malcolm.
Malcolm: Hey, Tucker. How's it goin', Man?
Tucker: Well, how's it goin'? (Sighs) Actually, it's been pretty rough without Sofia.
Malcolm: Is that so?
Tucker: Yeah, you don't realize how much you depend on someone until they're not around. I really wish things had gone down differently.
Malcolm: Man, so do I.
Tucker: Trust-- it's a hard thing to get back once it's been broken.
Malcolm: (Sighs) Well, unfortunately, Sofia was duped by Cane just like we all were, Man.
Lily: We were gonna go to Paris one day and take the kids with us. And now they'll never know their father.
Neil: All right, we'll make sure they do. We'll take lots of pictures. I promise you, we will tell them stories.
Lily: Thank you for insisting on coming. I don't think I could have done this without you.
Neil: All right, it's okay.
Neil: (Sighs) Lord, we are here today to say good-bye to Cane. And we ask-- we pray that you take care of him. For all his troubles, he was a good man who did the honorable thing. He died saving his family.
Neil: Please, dear Lord, let him know that his wife and his children are safe, and that his legacy will live on through his beautiful children. Lord, we pray in your name, and we say now that we will never, ever forget him.
Lily: (Sniffles) (Whispers) Amen. (Sniffles) (Sighs) (Sniffles) (Normal voice) Um, I would just really like a few minutes alone.
Neil: Sure. I'm gonna be right over there, all right?
Jill: I could just watch them sleep for hours.
Colin: You know, I-- I never had any grandkids. (Sighs) But just--just holdin' that little guy and havin' him look at you and coo and gurgle and poke you and prod you with his little fingers...
Colin: (Chuckles) It kind of, you know, doesn't get any better than that. It feels good.
Jill: Good. I love the way you've embraced my family.
Colin: Like they were my own flesh and blood.
Jill: (Sighs) Damn, I'm lucky to have you.
Colin: We're married. I want to be part of your life.
Jill: Yeah, we are married, and I want to be part of yours. So I have to say this, okay? I really felt your sorrow at Cane's funeral, and I-I don't want to pry, but you barely knew him, so I-I've gotta figure that struck a chord in you somehow. Now you told me you'd lost a son.
Colin: And daughter.
Jill: You lost two children? Oh, my God. I'm so sorry.
Colin: Yeah. Samantha was the dearest, sweetest child.
Jill: Samantha? The girl you showed me in the photograph?
Jill: No, wait a minute. Um, Cane knew Samantha in Australia.
Jill: And you said they were very, very close. That means... did you know Cane? Why didn't you tell me this before?
Tucker: You know, um... (Sighs) I don't like to speak ill of the dead, but Cane was a punk.
Malcolm: I won't disagree.
Tucker: You know, I hired him off Jill's recommendation.
Malcolm: (Sighs) Hmm.
Tucker: He ended up usin' her.
Malcolm: Just like he used Sofia.
Tucker: Played on their feelings, wreaked all kinds of havoc at McCall. (Sighs) You know that Biodiesel project? It's a disaster. Without Sofia, I might have to scrap it.
Malcolm: Man, I knew I should have trusted my gut. I knew it, Man. I mean, there was something off about that Blake dude.
Tucker: I never thought Cane would bring a thug like that into the company, into our lives. I got zero respect for a man who puts his own family in jeopardy.
Malcolm: To save his own butt, pay off those dirty crooks in Australia. He should have just kept it real, Man. He should have just kept it real with us.
Tucker: You know, Jill... Jill thinks he's some kind of hero for savin' Lily's life. He's the one who put her in the line of fire. I went to the funeral out of respect for Katherine and for Neil. But I'm not crying for Cane. (Sighs) Sofia was like family.
Malcolm: (Sighs) You know, Tucker, hey, Man, I don't condone what she did in any way, but, I mean, with all this happening and all that we're goin' through right now, I-I-I-I gotta ask you this question. Do you think we're bein' too hard on her?
Phyllis: Thanks for picking up Summer. Hey, Baby girl, I'm here.
Nick: Um, yeah, I forgot to tell you. Um, my mom came and picked her up to go ice-skating.
Phyllis: Oh, okay. How you doin'?
Nick: Had a nice talk with my dad.
Phyllis: About the video?
Nick: He denied everything.
Phyllis: Of course he did.
(Cell phone rings)
Nick: Excuse me.
Nick: What's up, Vick?
Victoria: (Sighs) Hello. I just heard that you're testifying for Dad today.
Nick: Who told you that?
Victoria: Does it matter? Don't. It's--it's not your fight, all right? It's ours.
Nick: Well, not according to Dad. He's expecting me to stand with him against you today.
Victoria: Up until now, you are the only one in this family that has remained neutral. I'd really hate to see you give in to Dad's bullying.
Nick: I can't talk about this with you right now.
Victoria: Listen to me, please. Just don't show up today, all right?
Nick: Bye, Vick.
Phyllis: It's coming at you from all angles, right?
Nick: Uh, excuse me. Sorry. I have to make a call.
Abby: Well, what did Nick have to say?
Victoria: (Sighs) It doesn't look so good.
Abby: Why would he turn on us? What does he get out of this? U-unless Dad probably offered him some primo deal.
Victoria: Speaking of deals, Jack just accused me of having some little secret side deal with Mr. McCall.
Victoria: You don't know why he would think that, do you?
Phyllis: So what are you gonna do?
Nick: (Sighs) Wish I could just disappear for a while, let 'em duke it out on their own.
Phyllis: Hey, why don't you?
Nick: If I did that, I would just come back to an even bigger mess.
Phyllis: Yeah. It's tough when you can't trust your own father. Listen, I'm sorry I had to be the bearer of bad news by showing you that-- that video. But your dad's actions affect the entire family, and... it would eventually, you know, affect Summer.
Nick: You know, this isn't just some father/son thing. The Newmans are a business. I have an obligation to this company and its employees. It's not that easy to walk away.
Abby: Who knows why Uncle Jack thinks the things he does? He has a secret agenda just like Nicholas, just like you. I'm not stupid. I know you have your reasons for this lawsuit.
Victoria: We both do.
Abby: Well, what's stopping me from just going to Dad and making a deal right now?
Victoria: (Sighs) If we stick together, we're gonna get what we want.
Abby: Really? Really? With Nick on Dad's side of the table?
Victoria: Listen to me. You--
Leslie: (Clears throat)
Michael: Hello, everyone. Leslie.
Leslie: Mr. Baldwin.
Michael: Are we ready?
Victor: Let's put an end to this nonsense.
Jack: Those Valentine’s Day sales figures should have made you very happy.
Tucker: Oh, yeah. You and Ashley did a great job.
Jack: Well, things are only gonna get better once Victoria and Abby win their lawsuit, and I'm able to deliver Beauty of Nature to you.
Tucker: You still think you can accomplish that?
Jack: Abby will do what I tell her to do.
Tucker: And Victoria?
Jack: You let me worry about that. Un--unless, of course, you have other plans where she's concerned.
Tucker: Why would you say that?
Jack: I have it on pretty good authority you've offered her a job.
Tucker: Well, I just lost two of my top executives, Jack. I thought she'd be a good fit. But she had other ideas.
Jack: Such as?
Tucker: She is a new mom.
Jack: So there's no possibility you would be merging Beauty of Nature with Jabot to form a new conglomerate that she would head up?
Tucker: Well, that's an interesting idea.
Jack: Yeah, only one problem-- you have a contract with me.
Tucker: With you as head of Jabot. If I start a new company, all bets are off.
Jack: If you start a new company, Ashley and I will be running it, or I will screw you over the same way you screwed me.
Jill: Well, Charlie went right back to sleep.
Colin: Cup of tea?
Jill: What I'd like is an answer to my question. If Cane and Samantha knew each other so well, why didn't you know Cane?
Colin: Well... (Sighs) She and I were estranged the last few years of her life. Um, perhaps if that had never happened...
Jill: Yeah, but I thought that Cane knew Samantha growing up.
Colin: Well, she had a lot of friends. I didn't know all of them. I was too preoccupied with work. I missed out on a lot, I'm afraid.
Jill: I wish I'd had a chance to meet your children.
Colin: (Chuckles) (Sniffles) You'd have liked Samantha. She was... she was a sweet child.
Jill: No wonder Cane's funeral was so hard on you.
Colin: More than I can say.
Lily: I should have left town with the twins when you asked me to. But I was confused, and I didn't trust you. But now I realize that you did everything that you could to protect us. (Sniffles) And I forgive you. You will always be my... strong... loving... handsome husband. And I never could have made it through cancer without you. (Sniffles) But I need you. And Charlie and Matty need you. (Sniffles) And I need to know that you will always be there looking out for us. (Sighs) (Sniffles)
Phyllis: Oh, hey.
Daniel: Oh, I was just leaving.
Phyllis: Uh, I need to talk to you.
Daniel: Where's Summer?
Phyllis: With Nikki.
Daniel: I'll give you five minutes.
Phyllis: Thank you. Five minutes is just enough time.
Phyllis: Okay, the police and the Canadian Mounties have not found even a trace of Daisy. I say we do something.
Daniel: Like what?
Phyllis: Hire a private investigator, go up to Canada ourselves, whatever. I'm gonna call Billy and ask for some time off.
Daniel: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, Mom, let's just-- let's just relax here.
Phyllis: Okay, listen, that's been our philosophy this entire time-- "Relax. Let somebody else deal with it." That hasn't gotten us far. Listen, all I am asking is--
Daniel: Well, I-I know exactly what you're asking, but it's a little more complicated than that.
Phyllis: What are you talking about, Daniel? What is complicated? Either you want to find your child or you don't.
Daniel: I don't know if I want to find her, but I care about her, okay? I do care.
Phyllis: Let's find her then. And then you can find a way to be a father.
Daniel: That's the problem. See, I don't know what way that would be.
Tucker: I'll tell you what, Jack. You bring me Beauty of Nature, and you and Ashley will get your contract.
Jack: I know Victoria. She's a very ambitious young woman. I don't think she'd have any issue with acing Ashley and me out.
Tucker: Would I do that to my fiancée?
Jack: I certainly hope not, for her sake as well as yours. Remember one thing-- one word from me to Abby, the whole Beauty of Nature deal is off.
Tucker: You're just gonna have to trust me, Jack.
Jack: We'll see if you're worthy of that trust.
Judge Phelps: I've read the petition for release of the Newman assets. I'm ready to make a ruling.
Michael: Uh, your honor, we are expecting another witness at any moment who will be testifying on Mr. Newman's behalf.
Judge Phelps: Yes, I was informed you had another witness, Counselor, but he is late.
Victor: He will be here, your honor.
Nick: Sorry I'm late.
Victor: Just in time, Son.
Jill: Well, my goodness. What a big burp for such a little boy.
Colin: You are one dead hand with the diapers.
Jill: Oh, that's something you never forget.
Colin: You gotta teach me that.
Jill: (Laughs) Oh, please. Are you volunteering for diaper duty?
Colin: Why not?
Jill: Well, this I gotta see. What's that?
Colin: Well, I wasn't around for my--my own kids, and, uh, these--th-these are my step-grandchildren...
Colin: So I guess I should be part of their lives.
Jill: Boy, it's a great way for me to share all the joy that they've given me.
Jill: Oh, can you take him for a minute?
Colin: Uh, yeah, yeah, sure.
Jill: Okay, there.
Colin: Oh, right there. Oh, here we are.
Jill: There's your tiger. You want your tiger?
Colin: (Gasps) Wow.
Colin: (Speaking indistinctly)
Jill: Oh, Malcolm, come on in.
Malcolm: Hey. Is Lily back from the cemetery yet?
Jill: No, not yet. Colin and I are just babysitting.
Colin: Hey, Malcolm.
Malcolm: Hey. Oh. You guys should have given me a call. I'd have come by and helped out.
Jill: Oh, that's all right. As you can see, the kids are very comfortable with their step-grandfather. (Chuckles)
Lily: Cane! Oh, where are you? (Sighs) Oh, my God.
Neil: Honey? Honey, are--are you all right?
Lily: (Sniffles) Dad, I was sure that I saw him. I was sure.
Neil: Lily, Honey, no, no. Baby.
Lily: Yes. No, Dad. Somebody was standing there. (Sobs) Someone was standing there.
Neil: Oh, Lily, no, no.
Neil: No, Honey, Cane is gone, Baby girl. He's gone.
Lily: (Sobs) (Voice breaking) Dad, it couldn't have been him. It couldn't have. (Sobs)
Neil: Oh, Sweetheart.
Neil: It's okay. Shh.
Next on "The Young and the Restless"...
Jana: I heard you were looking for a nanny. You still interviewing?
Abby: You are trying to use my father's death to try to get me to second-guess this lawsuit.
Nick: Everyone talks about how ruthless dad is. Wait till he sees how ruthless I can be.
