Lauren: Aren't you gonna say anything?
Scott: Mom? How?
Michael: You're not seeing things. Your mom's alive.
Lauren: Yeah. It's a very long, ugly story but... (Sighs) I'm here. And, oh, God, it's so good to see you.
Scott: Oh, my God, you're alive.
Lauren: Yeah. Oh, honey, I'm alive.
Lauren: Here, let me see what Sheila did to you. Oh, my God.
Michael: Look, Scott, you really need to see a doctor, all right?
Scott: No, it's really not that big of a deal.
Lauren: No, honey, I think Michaelís right. We don't know what Sheila did to you.
Scott: Mom, it's not that bad. Listen--listen to me, all right? It's over. Sheila Carter will never be able to hurt us again. Never.
Sheila: (Raspy voice) let go of me!
Troy: If you don't calm down, you're just gonna make things worse.
Sheila: No. No, please, you've got it all wrong!
Troy: No, you've got it all wrong if you think you're getting out of this. Take her down to booking. Don't let her out of your sight. She has a bad habit of escaping. But we'll cure her of that once and for all.
Sheila: You've gotta listen! No, you've gotta listen! You've gotta listen! You've gotta listen!
[Kevin remembering past memories of Lauren.]
Kevin: Lauren, I feel so good about myself.
Lauren: Yeah, but that's because you did the work, Kevin. Don't ever minimize that.
Kevin: Yeah, but your-- your telling me that I was okay-- it was so important to me. You know, it took awhile to sink in but... believe me, it was important.
Lauren: I'm glad. What else can I say to you? Huh?
Kevin: Nothing. You don't have to say anything. Just know that, um... having you in my family... someone who supported me when nobody else would-- someone who was willing to look past all of my hang-ups. (Sighs) I'm happy that you're marrying my brother, Lauren. Honest, I'm real happy.
Lauren: I am so happy to be welcoming you into my family, too.
J.T.: What's that?
Kevin: Oh, that's a, uh... it's a sympathy card from some of the kids that hang out here.
J.T.: That's nice of 'em.
Kevin: Yeah. It's so weird to think I'm never gonna see Lauren again.
J.T.: Yeah, she was a great lady.
Kevin: The best.
J.T.: Hey, man, I don't to rush you but, uh... I got a lot of stuff I need to take care of before the memorial service. So, uh, what did you want to see me about?
Kevin: Uh, yeah, this won't take long. I, um... well, you know how we talked about, uh, me moving out of the loft?
J.T.: Yeah, yeah, you said you'd think about it a little more.
Kevin: Yeah, well, I've come to a decision. And I wanted to tell you first.
Daniel: Looks like your parents finally got to you, Lily.
Mac: Okay, hot chocolate, extra marshmallows.
Daniel: Thanks, Mac.
Mac: People are really liking Cassie's corner, you know?
Mac: Yeah, especially her friend Ally. She spends a lot of time out on the patio. You did a really great thing. Seriously.
Daniel: Well, I appreciate you saying that.
Mac: I mean it. I wish I could think of something to do for Lauren like that but... so far...
Daniel: It'll come to you. Just give it some time. You going to the service?
Mac: Oh, yeah, definitely. We're gonna close up early here. Are you going?
Daniel: You know, I didn't know Lauren all that well, but I feel like I should go there for Kevin.
Mac: Yeah, that's a good idea. He's pretty devastated. (Chuckles) did you want some more marshmallows?
Mac: Is it good news?
Mac: The letter you keep reading and rereading.
Daniel: (Sighs) I wish.
Mac: Who's it from?
Daniel: It's from Lily.
Mac: Oh, yeah? How's she doing?
Daniel: She, uh, says it's over between us.
Mac: Oh, no, I'm so sorry.
Daniel: It's like, just... one day everything is fine-- better than fine, and then the next day... my whole world just explodes. Do you have any idea what that's like?
Mac: Yeah, I do. Big time.
Dru: Yolanda, I asked you a question. Did you know about this?
Dru: You know what-- Devon being accepted on full scholarship to the University of Boston.
Yolanda: He didn't say a word to me.
Dru: Okay, so this makes a lot of sense, right? He would apply to college but not wanna go.
Yolanda: You know what? He must have his reasons.
Dru: And you're okay with that?
Yolanda: Devon is old enough to make his own decisions, okay? If he doesn't wanna go to some school clear across the country, that's fine with me.
Neil: Hey, kid, where do you think you're going?
Devon: I'm going out, all right? I'm gonna take a walk. Or do I have to clear that with you, too?
Neil: When did you and I become such adversaries?
Devon: We're not adversaries, Neil, all right? I just wanna be alone.
Neil: You know, Drucilla and I-- we only want what's best for you. Tell me this-- why would you apply to a school that you really didn't want to go to?
Devon: Can I not change my mind?
Neil: Is there another college that you'd rather attend?
Neil: Yeah? I don't believe you. For you to get accepted this early means you had to get your application in months ago.
Neil: How many schools did you apply to?
Devon: Just the one.
Neil: One school-- your top choice school-- and they accepted you. Devon, not every kid is lucky enough to get accepted by the school they really want to go to.
Devon: I know that, Neil.
Neil: So when were you gonna tell us about this?
Devon: I would have.
Neil: Don't you think you owe us an explanation?
Lauren: All I wanted to do was protect you from Sheila. I did everything I could to keep her away from you. That's why I hid you from her for years. She found you. She hated me. I cannot believe that she hurt you.
Scott: Mom, I'm all right. Really. I never thought I was gonna see you again ever. And now here you are holding my hand. And I still can't believe it's real.
Lauren: Pretty amazing, isn't it? It's gonna take me awhile to step down off of this cloud.
Scott: I know. I've got a million questions.
Lauren: I'm sure you do.
Michael: Here you go, sweetheart. All I could find was eggs in the kitchen.
Lauren: Oh, no, I'm so hungry. It's perfect.
Michael: Here you go. Whatever was in that refrigerator is disgusting.
Lauren: Oh, God. Oh, honey, mmm. Those are the best eggs I've ever had in my entire life. And when I finish these, I am taking the longest, hottest shower known to mankind.
Michael: Oh, let me get you a drink.
Scott: Mom, listen, I need to know everything about that woman, everything about my past, my dad, all of it. I need to know which parts of Sheila's story were lies and which were true.
Lauren: I know. And...
Michael: Here you go.
Lauren: You deserve to know the truth.
Michael: Some for you, too.
Lauren: It's time. Thanks, sweetie.
Scott: Oh, hey, before-- before you go into that, I gotta know what happened to you. Everyone thought you were on the boat when it exploded.
Lauren: Well, luckily, I wasnít.
Scott: Where were you? Everybody thought you were murdered. What happened?
Michael: It was a miracle. You wouldn't believe how close we came to losing her.
Lauren: It was a miracle. Sheila and I were locked together in the basement of a farmhouse in a bomb shelter. And the whole time I was praying I would get out and see you two again.
Michael: And here we are.
Lauren: That's right. Just as I'd dreamed.
Mac: Hey. I'm really sorry about you and Lily. I know how much you care about her.
Daniel: I'm in love with her. And you know, up until a few days ago, she was in love with me, too.
Mac: Well, you know, the long-distance thing is hard. Maybe it was just too much for her.
Daniel: So she's just gonna cut me loose? Why would she do that? You know, she's never said anything about having any doubts.
Mac: Well, you guys haven't seen each other for months. Talking on the phone-- it's not the same thing.
Daniel: We didn't talk on the phone. Her school doesn't allow it.
Mac: How did you communicate?
Daniel: We chatted online. You know, until they put a stop to that, too. I'm telling you that place is more like jail.
Mac: Maybe she's just caught up in the senior thing, you know, applying for colleges, thinking about the future. You know, are you guys gonna be at the same school or at opposite sides of the country? If I was Lily, I'd have a really hard time planning my future with a boyfriend I couldn't talk to.
Daniel: Yeah, but, you know, it's not gonna be forever. The school year is already half over. And next year she goes off to college. And then her parents can't keep us apart anymore.
Mac: You know what I think? Lily's being noble.
Mac: Yeah. She loves you, but she's letting you go because she thinks it's what best for your sake.
Daniel: That's crazy. That's not what's best for anyone. Don't you know what it's like to be in love?
Mac: It's the most wonderful thing in the world.
Daniel: You know, some people get to see each other every day. And even then, they don't have even a tenth of what Lily and I did. When you get someone that special, you don't just walk away from it.
Mac: Daniel, she wrote you that letter for a reason.
Daniel: Yeah, because her parents pressured her. I mean, that's the only thing that makes any sense. They've been against us since the start. You know, if I... if I could just see her, talk to her, I think then I could figure out what's really going on.
J.T.: So what's the deal? Are you staying or are you going?
Kevin: Going. Moving out. Scott, too.
J.T.: Well, you know you don't have to, right?
Kevin: I'm not doing it for you. I'm doing it for Mikey. He needs me now. And I need to be with my family. And Scott is part of our family. You know, after everything that happened with Lauren and Tom, I just... look, you understand. My brother and I need to stick together. He's looked after me for... so long. It's time I return the favor.
J.T.: Yeah, well, it's a good thing you're doing, Fisher.
J.T.: Look, I gotta get going. Um, you want me to tell Mac?
Kevin: Uh, no, I'll tell her. But, listen, there's, uh, one other thing I wanted to say. And, uh... it's about Mackenzie.
Devon: Yes, I applied early to that school, all right? But I never thought in a million years that I'd get in.
Neil: Well, if you ask me, you should be proud of the fact that you were accepted by this top school, not hiding this acceptance letter.
Devon: You know what? It's just some weird luck that I actually got accepted.
Neil: Weird luck? You really think that?
Devon: Well, it's not like I'm the top of the class or anything, Neil.
Neil: Devon, you may not be the top of the class, but you've shown incredible improvement over the past year, you know? Those admissions people-- they must've seen your potential. Hey--
Devon: You know what--
Neil: I'll bet that essay that you wrote was off the chain.
Devon: It was okay.
Neil: Obviously, the school is enthusiastic about you. They offered you one hell of a scholarship.
Devon: Yeah, I got in. I got in, all right? It's real tough school, though. Ain't no way I'm gonna make it through four years at that place.
Neil: Yeah, that's right. You're absolutely right. You're not gonna make it through four years-- not with that attitude. You gotta have some faith.
Devon: And what if I fail at it?
Neil: What if you fail? You know, kid, in basketball, you'll miss 100% of the shots that you don't take, right? You gotta take some risks in life. This is one of those times. You know, you come up with so many excuses. That kinda says to me that you've already made up your mind you're not going. So what's this about? It's not about school. It's about your mother? Are you gonna let your mother stand in the way of your entire future?
Dru: Okay, Yolanda, are you telling me that you have no intention of convincing your son to take advantage of this opportunity?
Yolanda: Why should i push him into doing something that he doesn't want to do?
Dru: Because you told me yourself he would be the first person in your entire family to go to college.
Yolanda: No, I'm not saying that he shouldn't go to school. But what if he'd rather go somewhere here in town?
Dru: G.C.U.-- are you kidding me? That school can't shake a stick at the University of Boston.
Yolanda: You think I'm being selfish, don't you? That I wanna keep him here with me?
Dru: No, I just think he shouldn't stay in this town is all.
Yolanda: Why do you say that?
Dru: Because he'll end up getting a job and going to night school, okay?
Yolanda: What is so wrong with that?
Dru: He'll lose his momentum! That's what's wrong with it! And it will take him forever to get his degree, Yolanda. And worse than that, he may never get his college education. Why? Because he's gonna be worried about supporting you. Do you really want your son to be lost behind some misguided obligation to you?
Yolanda: You know what? You think you can control him, but you can't any more than I can. He is gonna make up his mind and do whatever he wants to do no matter what we think
Michael: So apparently the entire ceiling of the bomb shelter collapsed. There's no way Sheila could've escaped.
Scott: But she did.
Michael: Yeah, she did, somehow.
Lauren: I swear, that woman channels Houdini.
Scott: Hey there. You don't look half bad in my clothes.
Lauren: Oh, thank you, it's my new fashion statement.
Scott: Oh, nice.
Lauren: You can throw out my other clothes, please.
Scott: Yeah, I'll get rid of 'em.
Scott: You know, after hearing that, it's just so amazing that you made it out of there alive.
Lauren: Tell me about it.
Scott: And it makes me so sick to think that I was working all that time with Sheila on the bogus book idea.
Lauren: Don't blame yourself, Scott. I mean, Sheila is... she's treacherous. She's a liar. And she uses people. And unfortunately, they don't catch on until it's too late. But this time... Sheila didn't win. She had nothing to live for. I have everything. I had the two of you. And I held on to that with every fiber of my being, knowing that we would all be together again. I didn't let go until I was free.
Scott: So many people are gonna be thrilled that you're all right. Hey, hey, Kevin! Have you told him? Does he know?
Michael: No, I tried calling him a bunch of times. He must have his cell off.
Scott: Well, try him at the coffeehouse.
Michael: No. No, I really should tell him this news in person.
Lauren: Okay, well, you go.
Michael: No, no. You're not leaving my sight.
Scott: Hey, I'll stay with Mom.
Lauren: You know, actually, I wanna go to the police station. I wanna see Sheila for myself.
Michael: No! No. You're not leaving this apartment without me.
Lauren: Honey, you don't have to worry. I'm okay.
Scott: Michael, you go with Mom. And I'll find Kevin, let him know what happened, and he can help me make phone calls, tell everybody the good news, all right?
Lauren: That would be great. Thanks, sweetie.
Michael: Come here. Look at me. Are you absolutely certain you're ready to see this woman again?
Lauren: I have to, Michael. I have to know that this is over once and for all.
J.T.: What about Mac?
Kevin: (Clears throat) well, I'm sure it's been a real drag for you two having me around. You let me stay at the loft when I needed a place. It wasn't supposed to be permanent.
J.T.: How many times do we have to talk about this? You know, I told you, I'm cool with you staying there.
Kevin: Yeah, and you moved out of Mrs. Chancellor's place so you could be alone, right?
J.T.: There's a big difference between having roommates and having Mrs. Chancellor and Jill watching us like hawks.
Kevin: We all want to protect Mac. I guess she brings that out in people.
J.T.: Yes, she does.
Kevin: All right, so here's the deal. You know how much I care about Mac. And I know how much she cares about you. It's a big deal for her-- moving in with you. She wouldn't do it unless she was in for the long haul.
J.T.: I'm committed to Mac. And she knows that.
Kevin: Does she really? Don't just assume it, J.T. make sure of it. She trusts you enough to take this huge step with you. She's not just playing house. Don't let her down.
Mac: I know what it's like to lose your first love. It rips you apart. And in my case, it wasn't even anybody's fault. It just-- you know, it wasn't meant to be. And I thought I'd never get over it. But I did. And you will, too. I know that it feels like the end of the world. But you'll get through this, Daniel. You will.
Daniel: Plenty of fish in the sea, right?
Mac: I did not say that. You know, but someday you'll meet another girl. And you will be happy again.
Daniel: Yeah, but it's not gonna be the same, will it?
Mac: No, it wonít. The first time is special.
Daniel: You know, if I could just... look into her eyes, I think I could tell if she really wanted to break up with me.
Mac: Well, come on, what's stopping you? I mean, if you are this determined to find out...
Daniel: Thanks, Mac. Talking to you really helped.
Mac: Anytime. What's that all about?
Troy: Sheila Carter has been booked and fingerprinted.
Michael: What is she being charged with?
Troy: Attempted murder. There will be additional charges. Miami-Dade is already talking about extradition.
Michael: Who gets to prosecute her first?
Troy: That's a good question. I'd planned on calling you tomorrow to have you come down and make a statement.
Lauren: Well, I'm here. I can do it now.
Troy: If you don't mind waiting a couple of minutes?
Lauren: No, not at all. Can I see her?
Troy: I don't think that would be a very good idea, Mrs. Baldwin.
Lauren: Look, I'm not asking to be locked in a room with her. I just need to see her one last time with my own eyes.
Michael: Hawk, I promise you we won't cause a scene. Look, my wife needs this for her peace of mind. Sheila has tormented her for years. And I might add, she has slipped through the authorities fingers more times than you could possibly imagine.
Lauren: Don't you underestimate her for one minute.
Troy: All right. Look, stay here. We'll be bringing her through or her way to a more secure facility. You can see her then. But if either one of you gets out of line...
Michael: Hawk, it's me.
Lauren: Thank you.
Michael: Are you sure you wanna go through with this?
Lauren: I have to, Michael. I don't know why, but something's bothering me. It just... doesn't add up.
Michael: What doesn't?
Lauren: Sheila has been trying to kill me for years, right? And then suddenly today, she does something so uncharacteristic.
Michael: Yeah, she let you out of that bomb shelter first.
Lauren: But it wasn't just that. She attacked Scott. I mean, this is someone who she's been obsessed with, who she's thought of as her own son. Why would she suddenly turn on him?
Michael: Maybe she realized she'll never possess him? He won't even be in her life? Once Scott knows the truth, there's no way she'll ever get around him again. Might've been too much for her to bear.
Lauren: So you think she just snapped?
Michael: It's an ugly truth. But people hurt the people they love all the time.
Lauren: Like, if I can't have you, then nobody can?
Dru: Are you kidding me, Yolanda? What do you think parenting is all about? It's you and me helping Devon make the right choice in life.
Yolanda: It looks like he is doing fine on his own.
Dru: All right, I not gonna talk down to you. I'm not gonna act like I'm nearer to God than thee, but do you really think you can do better than Neil and me? All right, I'm gonna put all the cards on the table. You were out on the street for a long time, right? And you made some very poor choices for yourself. And Devon has done everything in his power to support you. Can we once put his needs first before yours?
Yolanda: Do you think I'm stopping him? You're twisting my words. Look, I have missed out on a lot of my son's life. Of course, I would never ask him to stay, but I'm sure as hell not gonna ask him to leave.
Dru: You know, I'm sure no one told you that Neil and I were divorced a long time ago. Um... and I left and I went to Europe. And I took Lily with me. And it's complicated, but Neil didn't see our daughter until she was a teenager again. And he knows more than anybody that pain of being separated from a child he loved.
Yolanda: What's your point?
Dru: It's hard for Neil and me right now. Because our daughter would've been here these last few months before she goes to college. But we had to make a responsible decision for our daughter. And we sent her to boarding school. We think that we did the right thing by her.
Yolanda: You know what? I owe a lot to you and your husband for all that you have done for me. I will never, ever be able to thank you enough. But what is right for both of you, is not always right for me and my son.
Yolanda: Devon's 18th birthday is coming up soon. And as wonderful as you both have been for him, you won't be making decisions for my boy anymore. He'll be old enough, and he'll be free to decide for himself what he wants to do with his own life.
Devon: I'm not letting anything stand in the way of my future, okay? I just wanna be with my mother.
Neil: Devon, I understand that you love your mother. But attending school in Boston doesn't mean that you have to cut your mother out of your life, you know? You can see her over holidays, over the summer. I mean, she's not gonna be alone here, because Dru and I will be here to support her.
Devon: You know what? You gotta stop pushing me on this.
Neil: Please, Devon, if you listen to me--
Devon: No, listen to me. Okay, I have made my decision about this. I'm staying right here. I'm gonna move in with my mom when she gets her apartment. So please, accept this. And back off and let me live my life.
J.T.: I don't need advice about my relationship, Fisher.
Mac: Hey, guys, what's going on?
Kevin: Um, well, I'm moving out.
Mac: Well, I wish you wouldn't, honestly.
Kevin: I want to.
Mac: Tell him he can stay.
Kevin: He already did. Mac, I'm moving in with Michael. He needs me and you understand, don't you?
Mac: Yeah. Sure.
Kevin: It's not like you're gonna be rid of me. You're gonna be stuck with me at work every day.
J.T.: I'm outta here. I gotta go and take care of some things before Laurenís service.
Scott: Actually, there's not gonna be any service. Not anymore.
J.T.: What are you talking about?
Kevin: Oh, I was afraid this might happen. Did Mikey cancel?
Scott: No, it wasn't Michael...
Lauren: (Sighs) he said he was gonna bring her down in a few minutes. What's taking so long? You don't think she escaped, do you?
Michael: Oh, sweetheart, look, don't worry. I'm here. Everything's gonna be fine.
Lauren: Stop! Wait a minute, that is not Sheila Carter!
Lauren: No, no, no, listen to me! That woman is not Sheila!
Michael: You have got to calm down!
Lauren: That is not Sheila!
Michael: Of course it's Sheila.
Lauren: No, it is not. No, it is not. Don't you look at me like I'm crazy. Listen to me, that woman is not Sheila Carter.
Sheila: I tried to tell him. He wouldn't listen.
Troy: What makes you believe that, Mrs. Baldwin?
Lauren: Her ankle. Look at her left ankle. Roll down the sock. She hurt it when we were trapped in the bomb shelter. We thought it was broken. She's been hobbling around in pain ever since.
Michael: Maybe she was just faking an injury to throw you off guard--
Lauren: No, I watched it swell. I made the splint myself!
Troy: But this is the woman who attacked your son.
Sheila: Damn right, I am. I got out of that institution. I came looking for Scotty. Scott Grainger-- how many times did I have to listen to Sheila talk about the son that should've been hers? I would've killed him, too, if he hadn't called the police.
Lauren: Why on earth would you ever hurt my son?
Sheila: Because that bitch destroyed my life! I wanted to destroy the one thing that ever meant anything to Sheila Carter!
Kevin: Lauren's alive? Lauren's alive? You're sure? You saw her?
Scott: With my own eyes.
Kevin: Oh, my God. I don't understand! How did--
J.T.: This is unbelievable!
Mac: That's fantastic!
Kevin: You know, he knew. He knew! Somehow Mikey knew!
Mac: I--you must be-- I can't even imagine what you're feeling right now.
Scott: When I saw her come through the door, I thought I'd lost it.
Kevin: What about Mikey? Oh, man...
Scott: Listen, hey, they both would've been down here to tell you, but they had to go to the police station.
Kevin: Oh, please, I don't care who tells me. Lauren's alive. That's all I care about! That's the best news ever! Mac, come here!
Scott: Listen, Kevin, there's something else you should know.
Scott: It's about your dad. My mom's alive because of him.
Dru: You know, Yolanda, did it occur to you that maybe Neil and I have a better handle on this whole situation?
Yolanda: You know what? What if you're wrong?
Dru: We're not wrong. Neil, have you talked some sense into Devon? (Cell phone rings)
Neil: Actually, we've been talking out here for a while. It's just that--
Devon: Excuse me.
(Cell phone rings)
Dru: Where you going?
Daniel: Devon, I need to talk to you. Can you come and meet me at the coffeehouse?
Devon: I can't do that.
Daniel: You've got to. Lily broke up with me.
Devon: I'm in the middle of something right now, okay?
Daniel: Look, man, I need to know what she said to you when you saw her. I mean, she must've said something.
Devon: Not now.
Neil: Hey, Devon, come on, man, off the phone, let's go.
Devon: I have to go, okay?
Neil: Is there a problem?
Devon: No. It was just a friend who didn't get this wasn't the best time to talk.
Dru: Okay, can you explain something to us? Why, when given this kind of opportunity would you throw it away?
Neil: I can answer that. Because, uh, Devon is not interested, isn't that right? Yolanda, I understand that your son is gonna move in with you once he turns 18.
Dru: What? Wait a minute now.
Neil: Honey, honey, no. No, let's not debate the living arrangements right now, okay? But what I do want is for both of you to realize what an opportunity that Devon is passing up here. I mean, college is about so much more than just studying.
Dru: It's gonna open up a whole new world to you. You're gonna meet people that you might otherwise never never meet.
Neil: That's right. It's a whole new life that you can't even imagine right now.
Dru: It's a top drawer school, baby. University of Boston is top drawer.
Neil: By the time you get your degree, you're gonna have a vast network of people and resources-- things that'll serve you for the rest of your life, you know? And I know you're the kind of person that you're gonna work hard. You're gonna get the job done. Right? You're gonna be able to choose any kind of field you wanna go into. And then you'll be able to take better care of your mother and yourself that you ever possibly dreamed.
Dru: Sweetie, I don't want you-- we don't want you to throw away this opportunity.
Neil: That's right, we donít.
Dru: We want you to think long and hard about this before you make a final decision-- both of you.
Devon: Guys, I know that the University of Boston is a great school. I'm sure there are things about it that I would like. But... I don't want to live in another city. It's just not for me. Now I'm sorry I applied there in the first place and caused all this trouble.
Scott: We'll never know if Tom would've gone back to rescue Mom from the bomb shelter. But he did stop Sheila from killing her on that boat. Your dad saved my mom's life.
Scott: And I know how you and everyone else felt about him, but at least he's not a murderer.
Kevin: I don't know-- I don't know what to say.
Mac: Well, it must be such a relief, though-- knowing that he didn't kill Lauren.
Kevin: Yeah. Yeah, I didn't want to believe that he would do something like that. And when Lauren died and everybody pointed to him... so what do you know? For once in his life, my old man tried to do the right thing.
Troy: You called it. Her fingerprints don't belong to Sheila Carter.
Woman: I told you.
Troy: Who are you?
Lauren: That's Sugar-- the woman we saw at the California institution.
Sugar: You think I wanted to be there? Sheila was my friend. I helped her and look what she did to me. "Oh, no, you stick with me, Sugar. You're my best friend in the whole world! We're gonna travel, meet men, live the high life." "Before we go, I'm, uh... how about I-- I treat you... to a little cosmetic surgery? You're gonna be so much more beautiful than you already are." That bitch made me look just like her!
Sugar: That doctor cut me to look like her! She drugged me. She threw me in that institution so that you would think that you were safe. She left me there to rot. Well, you know what? You're not! None of you are! You're not safe! None of you!
Troy: Get her out of here. Let's go, take her away.
Sugar: This is all 'cause of Sheila! She's gonna hunt you down! Don't you understand? I have her face! I'm left with her face forever!
Michael: Oh, don't, donít.
Lauren: Where do you think the real Sheila is?
Sheila: Thank God, your people were able to come and get me.
Sheila: You're a lifesaver. You always have been. I have to ask for your help again. It's gonna be the biggest test of your talents yet. I want you to make me look like this.
Next on "The Young and the Restless"...
Victoria: Your next tour begins tomorrow.
Sharon: Well, who am I going with? Brad?
Brad: Lauren is alive.
Abby: Does that mean Tom is coming back to life, too?
Troy: Mrs. Abbott, may I have a word with you?
