Dru: Neil, I-I know this sounds unbelievable, but your brother is alive. I'm telling you. He's alive.

Neil: Drucilla Winters, you stop yourself, okay? You're talkin' crazy now. You probably just saw someone who looked like Malcolm, that's all.

Dru: No, Neil, you don't understand. You don't understand.

Neil: No, I do understand. It happens to me all the time. You know, I see someone out on the street that I think is him, and bam--

Dru: This was Malcolm, okay? He was this close. I could feel his breath on my face, Neil, I swear.

Neil: No, you're mistaken. And if you're not, then how's it possible? How is it--he's dead!

Dru: Obviously he didn't drown when that bridge collapsed.

Neil: I want you to listen to me, all right? You weren't there in Africa. I was there. I was part of that search party. We went all up and down that riverbank, we even had helicopters. They didn't find a trace!

Dru: He told me. He told me about the helicopters. He told me, he told me.

Neil: You look me in the eye right now and tell me he's alive. I want the truth.

Dru: Neil, I had to touch him to make sure he was real. He was real, honey. He was real. (Whispers) yeah. He was real.

Neil: No. No. No. He c-- he can't be alive. He's no-- he can't be alive.

Dru: I thought I was hallucinating. I-I sure did.

Neil: Drucilla, don't you see? This doesn't make any sense.

Dru: What?

Neil: Why wouldn't he have contacted us all this time? Why would he let-- why would he let me believe he was dead?!

Dru: All I know is that he didn't drown in that African river. Your brother is alive and he is well.

 (Punches landing on bag)

Victor: Am I seeing things? You're Malcolm Winters.

Malcolm: Victor Newman. I never thought you actually knew my name.

Victor: I'll be damned. I thought you were dead.

Malcolm: Yeah. Well, a lot of people thought that around these parts 'cause that's what my brother told everybody.

Kay: Well, thank you, Jill. Lunch was delicious.

Jill: It's my pleasure. So... I take it you haven't heard from Arthur?

Kay: Not since he left the house and moved in here, except to say that he wouldn't be back, uh, unless the, uh, matter of his past was never discussed again.

Jill: So he's just asking us to trust him.

Kay: Is that so impossible, Jill?

Jill: All I am asking him to do is refute what was said about him. That's all. Just to sit down and talk with us rationally.

Kay: And he said that is not possible. And I understand that.

Jill: Well, I don't understand it because I'm not asking him for proof. Katherine, I-I know that Arthur doesn't have proof. And that's fine because Harrison Bartlett and the Seattle police don't have proof either.

Kay: Exactly, and that's why I prefer to simply believe. I want to marry Arthur, Jill. I want to marry the man.

Jill: I know.

Kay: And I am pretty thoroughly convinced I am gonna go through with the wedding.

Jill: Did you just hear what you said? You're "pretty thoroughly convinced"? I'm sorry, Katherine. On the basis of that, I definitely think you should postpone.

Sharon: So there's the Tuvia line, the teen line... classic--that's the high-end luxury line-- the value-priced Ashley line, and the men's line, which looks like it's being discontinued, and I wonder why. Okay, now there's all the fragrances and the sunscreens. Gosh, I hope I can remember all of this. I don't want to look like a moron during my interview.

Nick: Hey.

Sharon: Hi, sweetie. What are you doing home?

Nick: I wanted to come out here and see how you're doin'. I know you're real anxious about this job situation.

Sharon: Well, that's so sweet. But you didn't have to come all the way out here.

Nick: Actually, I did. Because I wanted to see the look on your face when I gave you the news.

Sharon: What news?

Nick: Jack is talking to some people today at Jabot. So keep your fingers crossed. We may hear something soon.

Sharon: Okay.

Jack: Hey, Bradski. Long time, no see.

Brad: It hasn't been that long.

Jack: And yet somehow it feels like the whole world has changed. How you holdin' up?

Brad: About as well as can be expected.

Jack: You look a little worse for the wear.

Brad: I feel it. I mean, you know how it is, Jack, you gotta move on with your life. You can't dwell on the past.

Jack: That's right. Or it'll just drive you crazy.

Brad: Yeah. Especially when it has to do with Newman.

Jack: About that... I think I have a little something that might make you feel better. A chance to hit ol' moneybags right where it hurts.

Lily: What do you mean by that? How could Alex attacking me be your fault?

Kevin: It just was, all right?

Lily: Well, I don't understand.

Kevin: You don't have to. Take my word for it. There's nothing wrong with you. You're not a magnet for attracting dirt bags.

Lily: You know something, don't you? What? I mean, did you see Alex? Did he tell you something about me? What did he say?

Kevin: No, no, it's nothing like that.

Lily: Well, you can't just say that it's your fault and then drop it. I mean, you're making this worse.

Kevin: All right, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to.

Lily: Look, Kevin, please, don't do this to me, okay? I need to know. I feel like I'm gonna have a nervous breakdown or something.

Kevin: Okay. Okay, the truth.

Lily: Okay.

Kevin: I set it up so that Alex would hassle you, and then I could save you and look like a hero.

Lily: What?

Brad: Come on, Jack. Where's this coming from? Nick really wants Sharon working here?

Jack: He knows how much it would mean to her, yes.

Brad: Uh-huh. And what happens when she finds out he's paying her salary under the table?

Jack: Listen, Sharon is a terrific mother, she loves her kids like crazy. She feels like there's something more that she's missing in her life, Nicholas respects that and wants to give her the chance.

Brad: She has no experience.

Jack: You and I both know, in a job like this, experience is not crucial. She's bright, she's competent, she's energetic.

Brad: Well, you certainly seem sold on her.

Jack: I am. So what do you say? You think you could make this happen?

Brad: Considering the fact that it will cost us nothing and it will stick in Newman’s craw, I'm all for it. I can almost see the headlines now-- "Victor Newman’s daughter-in-law, the new face for Jabot."

Jack: Now listen, I can think of at least one person around here who's not gonna find this quite as delicious as we do.

Brad: Well, don't worry about Ash. I'll handle that. She can't exactly say no to me right now. If we want Sharon Newman, Jack, we'll get her.

Neil: I don't get this. Why would he break into Olivia’s apartment? I mean, really, why wouldn't he just come to one of us? Did he tell you what happened? Where's he been all these years?

Dru: Honey, I don't know. I don't know. He wouldn't get into all that. He just said it was a long story. But he is so different.

Neil: Really? Different how?

Dru: Well, you know how when people go through a lot of heavy stuff-- he's wearin' that. He's changed.

Neil: Drucilla, changed or not, I want to see my brother. I want to see him right now. Where is he?

Dru: I know, I know, honey. Unfortunately, that's gonna be a problem.

Neil: What are you talking about?

Victor: Glad to see you alive and well, Malcolm. Story has it that you drowned.

Malcolm: I was lucky to survive.

Victor: Well, let's sit down. Talk to me about it. So they say that you spent a lot of time in Africa.

Malcolm: I met some good people out there. They took care of me, kept me alive.

Victor: It must be a very different world.

Malcolm: Unless you been there, you got no idea.

Victor: I bet. Although, I hear that some parts are absolutely beautiful, and then again, there's a lot of poverty.

Malcolm: You can't even imagine. Livin' here in the U.S., people can't even begin to know how easy we got it.

Kay: Postpone my wedding to Arthur?

Jill: Just until he puts our minds at ease. Till he sits down and talks to us about Harrison’s accusations.

Kay: Well, just put yourself in his shoes.

Jill: I have.

Kay: No.

Jill: It isn't working. I need to talk to him.

Kay: No.

Jill: I-I need to force the issue.

Kay: No, please.

Jill: I have to.

Kay: Do not alienate him any further. I want Arthur to be part of my future. Now don't you dare. Don't you dare drive him away.

Jill: You think I want to drive him away? Do you know how many years I've waited for that man to be in my life? I love him. I just have-- I have questions. I need some answers.

Kay: Maybe I don't need them.

Jill: So you can just bury your head in the sand, Mother? Well, I'm sorry. This is too important. This is way too important.

Sharon: What if they don't even want to give me an interview? I mean, it would be crazy for me to get my hopes up at this point. I've never done anything like this in my entire life.

Nick: Sharon, don't even think like that.

Sharon: Why not? I mean, Jabot's been in financial trouble now for awhile. What if they can't even hire anyone new?

Nick: I don't think that's gonna be a problem.

Sharon: What are you talking about? That could be a huge problem.

Nick: Sharon, in business, you gotta spend money to make money. That company may be trimming, but they still have a product to sell.

Sharon: Yeah, well, won't they want to hire someone with experience?

Nick: Well, sometimes you need someone with a new face, a new attitude, and with Jack going to bat for you, I think you're cool.

Sharon: Yeah, you're right. And it's not like I haven't been preparing myself. I did some research on the internet. I'm trying to get familiar with their product lines.

Nick: There you go. I knew this would be right up your alley. And I tell you what, if Jabot doesn't hire you, then I'll take this to my father.

Sharon: Uh, Nick...

Nick: No, I'm serious. I didn't want him involved, but I can see how important this is to you.

Sharon: No, honey, what I was gonna say is, um, I already went to Victor and asked him. I'm sorry. Sweetie, you know what? I just thought, when Neil said no, I thought, maybe, if I just went to Victor personally...

Nick: What did he say?

Sharon: Um, in a word, no.

Nick: Damn.

Sharon: Look, he thinks that the kids still need me a lot, and that I shouldn't take on a full-time job at this point.

Nick: Sharon, that is ridiculous coming from him. Like he was ever there for us when we were kids.

Sharon: Well, that's exactly his point. He doesn't want anyone else making the same mistake he did.

Nick: Sharon, that's apples and oranges. You've always been there for Noah and Cassie. You wouldn't ignore them. Now my father, on the other hand--

Sharon: Listen, sweetie, just let it go, okay? It's not gonna do us any good for you to be angry with him.

Nick: Well, frankly, after what you told me, I think we're better off looking someplace else anyway. Look, I promise you, we're gonna find you a job.

Sharon: Have I told you lately how much I love you?

Nick: Mnh-mnh. (Telephone rings)

Sharon: Uh-oh. I better answer that. (Ring)

Sharon: Could be the moment of truth. (Ring)

Sharon: (Sighs) hello.

Jack: Hi, Sharon. Its Jack Abbott. I'm in Brad Carlton’s office. He'd like to see you for an interview.

Sharon: Oh, my God. Uh, when?

Jack: Well, how's right now sound?

Sharon: (Mouths) now.

Nick: (Mouths) sure.

Lily: Hassle me? Why don't you try almost raped?

Kevin: Well, things got way out of hand. It wasn't supposed to go down that way.

Lily: Do you have any idea how scary that was-- being trapped in an elevator with that disgusting guy pawing at me, not being able to move?

Kevin: I didn't know he was gonna slip you any drugs.

Lily: Yeah, right.

Kevin: I swear, it wasn't part of the plan.

Lily: What exactly was the plan?

Kevin: Well, he w-- he was just supposed to get you alone and-- and come on to you and make it hard for you to get rid of him.

Lily: Did you tell him to take me into the elevator?

Kevin: No. No, I swear. Ask your friends. We couldn't find you. I had no idea where you were.

Lily: Well, didn't your friend know the plan?

Kevin: He's not my friend, Lily, he never was. He's just this guy who said he would help me. Look, I never would have gone through with this if I knew he was gonna give you drugs.

Lily: And why should I believe anything you say ever again?

Ashley: Hi. We need to talk.

Brad: Yes, we do, about the possibility of hiring a new spokesperson.

Ashley: What?

Brad: Jack came by earlier with a proposal. He thinks we should hire Sharon Newman.

Ashley: Okay, now I've heard everything.

Brad: It's a good idea.

Ashley: We don't have the money.

Brad: Nick's gonna pay her salary under the table.

Ashley: He's going to what?!

Brad: He wants her to work here. He thinks it'd be good for her.

Ashley: I could think of a thousand reasons why this is a bad idea.

Brad: We need a new spokesperson, don't we?

Ashley: Why Sharon? Why doesn't Victor give her a job?

Brad: Newman Enterprises already turned her down.

Ashley: Oh, so is this revenge? Your way of sticking it to Victor?

Brad: I knew you were going to say that. It's not about that, Ash.

Ashley: You sure? How's it gonna look for us to take on a high-profile spokesperson like Sharon Newman when we're firing all the people in the men's line?

Brad: I just told you, it's not gonna cost us a dime. This is a good thing.

Ashley: Okay--

Brad: We need a spokesperson, a fresh face. It's a great idea.

Ashley: Fine. If you and Jack want to do this, go ahead and do it.

Brad: You're signing off on it?

Ashley: I'm not gonna argue with you, Brad. Maybe it'll work. Even though I see a lot of potential problems, whatever. You and I have a lot more important things to discuss, like our marriage.

Brad: Don't you mean our divorce?

Brad: That is what you're here to talk about, isn't it, our divorce?

Ashley: Do you have to be so mean about it?

Brad: I'm not being mean, Ash, I just want to be clear.

Ashley: We have to figure out what the best thing is. I mean, how to handle things for Abby.

Brad: So, um, I guess I should point out that the house is mine. I inherited it from Cassandra. I'm certainly not going to be signing it over to you. You can stay at your father's house until you figure out what to do next. As far as Abby is concerned, our house, my house, is the only home she's ever known. With her parents being ripped apart, it hardly seems fair to tear her away from it. She needs some stability right now, something she can hold on to, and since I am, by far, the steadier parent these days, it seems pretty obvious that she should stay with me.

Ashley: Why don't you just spit it out? You want to take my daughter away from me.

Jill: No, thank you, Dad. Um, I've already eaten. This is not about food or drink or passing the time of day.

Arthur: Jill, I can tell by your tone-- I am not going to sit here for a grilling.

Jill: No, just plain talk. Just a little plain talk, please.

Arthur: Oh, I know where this is going.

Jill: No, you don’t. Please stay.

Arthur: Yes, I do. I went through it in Seattle, and it was hell.

Jill: I'm your daughter. I love you. I just--I have some questions that I need answers for.

Arthur: There are no answers. Don't you understand?

Jill: All right. Okay. I accept that. But could you, please, just talk to me about it?

Arthur: There's nothing to say, except I didn't kill my wife.

Jill: Well, then, why would anyone, for one moment, think that you did?

Arthur: The police are paid to investigate alleged crimes, Jill. They don't catch everyone with a smoking gun in his or her hand. They have to follow leads and check stories out to see if there's been a crime. And if there has, who did it? Now in my case, there was not one... look at me. Look at me. I'm doing it again. I'm justifying myself. I'm defending myself. Well, I'm telling you, Jill, I'm not doing it anymore.

Malcolm: Victor, what you doin' around here? Not exactly your neck of the woods, is it?

Victor: Ah, good question, Malcolm. This was a paint factory before I turned it into a Rec center.

Malcolm: Sounds like something you'd do.

Victor: Pretty soon I'll hand it back to the community.

Malcolm: I don't get it, though. Why a place like this? Long way from the corporate world.

Victor: A long story. Maybe one day your brother Neil will explain it to you.

Malcolm: I got no plans on seein' him.

Victor: Bad blood between the two of you?

Malcolm: It's a long story.

Victor: Mm-hmm. Well, I'm glad you're back home, safe and sound.

Malcolm: Appreciate that. I may be back in Genoa City, but I'm not home, Victor.

Victor: Hmm.

Malcolm: How's Victoria? How's your daughter?

Victor: You knew Victoria, didn't you?

Malcolm: Oh, yeah. She gave me a lot of work back in the day.

Victor: That's right. Brash & Sassy?

Malcolm: That's right.

Victor: Haven't heard from her for months, Malcolm. She just up and disappeared.

Malcolm: Sounds like there's more to it than that. Care to speak on it?

Neil: Dru, I don't know what you're implying, but my brother's alive, and he's home, and I don't understand what possible problem there could be.

Dru: Well, Neil, for one thing, I don't even know if he's still in town.

Neil: Oh, that's rid-- of course he's still in town. He must have gone by the apartment or my off-- my office. I must have just missed him. I'm going to go to my--

Dru: No, I don't think so.

Neil: What did Malcolm say to you? What is it that you're not telling me?

Dru: He doesn't want to see you right now, honey.

Neil: What do you mean? Did he tell you that?

Dru: He's--he's angry. And he's holding a grudge about what happened between you and Alex Perez.

Neil: Alex Per-- that is 6 feet under.

Dru: He doesn't seem to think so.

Neil: Well, did you tell him how it all turned out? You told him that we were married, right?

Dru: Yes.

Neil: You did tell him everything?

Dru: Yes, I-I told him that we were remarried, but he still blames you for a lot of stuff.

Neil: What, all because of a woman that we haven't seen or heard from in how many years?

Dru: Well, that's part of it.

Neil: So what's the other part? Dru, what's the other part?

Dru: He thinks you called the search off too soon and that you were relieved to find out that he was dead, because it... it gave you an opportunity to be with Alex.

Kevin: (Sighs) you know, I didn't have to tell you. I could have kept my mouth shut, and you'd still think I was a hero.

Lily: Well, why did you tell me?

Kevin: Because I couldn't let you keep beating up on yourself. I was hoping it would make you feel better.

Kevin: I did it because I'm really going out on a limb here, Lily.

Lily: Good. Well, at least now I know I'm not wearing a sign that says, "available for abuse. Help yourself." You know what? I don't attract men that want to hurt me. Just one. You, Kevin. You are the one that keeps screwing up my life.

Kevin: No, I know that that's the way it looks--

Lily: No, that's how it is.

Kevin: No, I swear, Lily, I never meant to hurt you. You... you have no idea-- you have no idea what it's been like for me. I was desperate. I had to do something to get people to change their minds about me.

Kevin: I know--I know that I've made a lot--a lot of big mistakes, but, um... I'm really not a bad guy. I swear.

Lily: Yeah, you could have fooled me.

Kevin: I was just trying to turn my life around.

Lily: You want people to respect you? You change your behavior so they will. I mean, you got your five minutes of fame. Big deal. What were you gonna do next?

Kevin: If I had to do it over again, I wouldn’t. I wouldn’t. Oh, Lily, I am so, so sorry. Please, please, accept my apology.

Kevin: You're not gonna tell your parents, are you?

Brad: Ash, I don't wanna take Abby away from you, but I do want her to live with me.

Ashley: And how is that any different?

Brad: I don't wanna see our daughter being passed back and forth from house to house, not now. She's too young.

Ashley: So you came up with this whole thing without even talking to me first?

Brad: There was no talking to you. You were too busy fantasizing about the wonderful life you would have with Victor to take our daughter into consideration.

Ashley: That's not true, and I hate this idea. I am her mother. I am not gonna be just an occasional visitor in her life.

Brad: That's what you were planning to do with me, wasn't it? In your ideal world, you and Victor would have been shacked up, the two biological parents having custody. I would have been relegated to coming by hat in hand, begging for a little time with my adopted daughter.

Ashley: You know, Brad, that's not true. You make me sound so crass.

Brad: Now be honest, Ash. That's the way you saw it. I'm not making you sound crass. That's how you behaved. At every turn, you weren't thinking about what was best for Abby. You were trying to get closer to Victor, trying to promote a relationship with him at the expense of your family. Now that doesn't sound like a caring, focused mother, does it?

Ashley: You're wrong.

Brad: From the moment you inseminated yourself with Victor's genetic material, this was about a selfish, narcissistic woman who gave no consideration to how her actions affected other people.

Ashley: You don't know how wrong you are.

Brad: Your actions say otherwise.

Ashley: When I decided to have Abby, it was not about the implications for Victor and me. It was not about the two of us.

Brad: Wow. You just... you'll never be over this denial, will you? Listen, conscious, subconscious, it was always about Victor.

Ashley: How the hell can you be so sure?

Brad: Because if it wasn't, you would have done what everyone else does. You would have found a reputable agency and used an anonymous sperm donor. Now if-- if you're honest with yourself, you'll see that and admit it.

Victor: Thanks for inquiring about Victoria, but as I said, she left some months ago and we haven't heard from her since.

Malcolm: It's gotta be rough on your wife.

Victor: It's been very rough on me, I can tell you that.

Malcolm: Well, Vic, for what it's worth, I'm willing to bet Victoria will show her face sooner or later.

Victor: I certainly hope so. She, um, had expressed some desire to travel in Europe. Who knows what country or city she's in right now?

Malcolm: Well, it is a big world out there.

Victor: Yep. Malcolm, I got some paperwork to finish. You work out anytime you want, all right?

Malcolm: Thanks.

Victor: Okay, and welcome back.

Neil: That's crazy. Did you tell him that's crazy?

Dru: Yes, I did, but he didn't wanna listen.

Neil: Then I'll tell him. Whatever his problem is with me, I'll straighten it out.

Dru: Neil, I just told you I don't know where he is.

Neil: You really think the guy's gonna drop into town and then suddenly take off?

Dru: Okay, let me say it a different way. I got the distinct impression he didn't want us to know that he was in town.

Neil: Then why did he even come?

Dru: Nate.

Neil: Nate's away in boarding school in London.

Dru: I know that, and I told him that Liv was there visiting, but he still wanted to get on a plane and go there.

Neil: You don't think he's gonna do that, do you?

Dru: I hope not, not after I told him what Nate went through, how he grieved for months. But he had this grandiose idea he was gonna get on a plane, go to London unannounced.

Neil: I can't believe it. My God. All the times... I blamed myself. All the times that I wished... I could have died instead of Malcolm, and now to learn that he's alive? I can touch him, I can embrace him, I can finally say all the things that were left unsaid, because whatever his problem with me, we can work it out. I know we can because we're brothers.

Jill: No, Dad. Dad, please stay. Talk to me.

Arthur: There's no point, darling. What you want to hear I can't tell you.

Jill: Yes, you can. Look, I understand that you've been hurt and you've been treated unfairly, from what you tell me.

Arthur: From what I tell you? You see? You're doing what they did, you see? "According to what you told officer so-and-so, Judge Hendricks..." where everything I said was used against me. You know, after 40 years on the bench, I finally saw things from a perspective that I never had before-- that of the accused. And I'm telling you, Jill, it was an eye-opener.

Jill: But there was no miscarriage of justice, no evidence, no arrest, no trial.

Arthur: That's right, but a life can be ruined by an accusation. That's my point, that's what happened to me, and if you let those newspaper clippings infect your mind, then I will have to leave here as surely as I had to leave Seattle, because I will see it in your eyes every time you look at me-- the question unanswered, lingering.

Jill: Dad, tell me what I can do. Help me.

Arthur: Just drop it. Wipe the slate clean.

Jill: It's easier said than done.

Arthur: Oh, I realize that. How many times have I admonished a jury to disregard inappropriate remarks or tainted evidence that was presented in my courtroom? So I know better than most people how difficult it is for someone to forget what they heard, but there are times when they must do that or there can be a serious miscarriage of justice.

Jill: I am not a jury. I am not here to condemn you. I love you.

Arthur: What is love then? Isn't it that you see the other person in the best possible light? That you give the benefit of the doubt at every opportunity?

Jill: Harrison was right about one thing.

Arthur: Yeah, what's that?

Jill: That you are a hard man to have an argument with. He said you could talk circles around him. I know what he meant.

Arthur: You have to understand, Harrison Bartlett is a very disturbed young man. He was a drug addict for years.

Jill: Dad, why don't we just have it out with him, all right? What do you say to that? You used to be close, right?

Arthur: That was a long time ago.

Jill: But there's no reason you can't be in the same room together.

Arthur: No, I refuse, Jill. I refuse.

Jill: There you go again. You're just refusing to hit this head on. Come on, I'll be the referee. There will be no ugliness. I promise you.

Arthur: You can't promise that. With Harrison, there is nothing but ugliness.

Jill: Dad, you're a big man. You can handle it.

Arthur: No. I've already handled more than I care to. No, Jill. I've said what I have to say. The ball is in your court. You either believe me and let this drop or you don’t.

Ashley: I'm not going to deny that some of my actions were clouded by my feelings for Victor.

Brad: Try all your actions.

Ashley: That's not true, Brad. A lot of the things I did were because of my feelings for you, and I certainly never meant to hurt you or Abby.

Brad: Not until it was too late.

Ashley: Well, maybe it's too late for us, but it's not too late for Abby to have two parents that love her and care for her.

Brad: I hope one of them is me.

Ashley: Of course one of them is you, of course, but you can't just dictate to me how things are going to be. This is something that we have to work out together.

Brad: I really do feel that Abby would be better off living with me, at least until you get your footing again.

Ashley: That kills me, but I'm-- I'm not gonna disagree with you. I've made such a mess of everything. I wish I could go back.

Brad: You can't go back, Ash. It's over. It has to be.

Ashley: I know, I know. I can't tell you how much it breaks my heart to have to admit that.

Brad: Or how much it breaks mine.

Kevin: Lily, Lily, please. Please, listen to me!

Lily: How dare you ask me that? My parents have been so upset over this. Don't you think they have a right to know?

Kevin: But then I will be so screwed. Please, it will be the end of my life. They'll send me to jail again.

Lily: Maybe you deserve to go to jail again. What that jerk Alex did to me was dangerous and illegal. I could have died. What if he comes after me again?

Kevin: No, no, no. I got him out of town forever, okay? You don't have to worry. He will never bother you again. I promise. Lily, Lily, please. Please, I told you because I wanted to help you, because I knew how miserable you were. Now I have-- I've given you the power to completely destroy me. Please, please, do not do that. I am begging you. Please. Please don't tell your parents.

Lily: Thank you for telling me the truth. I'll think about it.

Harrison: There you go.

Jill: Harrison.

Harrison: Well, look who's here.

Jill: Your administrator told me where to find you. We need to talk.

Harrison: I hope you're not here to tell me that your mother just died under mysterious circumstances, 'cause I had a bet with myself that that wouldn't happen for at least a couple of weeks.

(Knock on door)

Sharon: Hi. Your secretary told me to just come right in, so...

Brad: Sharon, it's good to see you. You're looking well.

Sharon: Well, thank you.

Brad: Please have a seat.

Sharon: Okay.

Brad: So... you'd like to work here.

Sharon: Yes, very much.

Brad: Good. Why don't we start by you telling me what you know about Jabot?

Victor: You wanted to see me?

Nick: Yeah. Got a bone to pick with you. Why did you turn Sharon down for a job at Newman?

Victor: Let's get that story straight. I didn't turn her down, Neil turned her down, but I happen to agree with him.

Nick: Yeah, well, she told me about your meeting, how you told her to just stay home and be the good little wife.

Victor: That's ridiculous. Sharon has absolutely no experience in the corporate world--none. As far as I'm concerned, she should not turn her back on her children now. Maybe a few years down the road--

Nick: No, a few years from now isn't gonna help. Sharon needs something right now. This is my wife. Would it have been so hard to help her out a little?

Victor: In the long run, I don't think I'd be doing you a favor.

Nick: All right. Well, don't sweat it. Sharon already found a job someplace else, and you're not gonna be too happy when you hear where.

Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Harrison: Do you think I like coming to some strange town where everybody thinks I'm some kind of a crackpot?

Jill: Well, if the shoe fits...

Lily: I wanna ask you something. How do you feel about Kevin?

Kevin: I'm gonna beat the hell out of my broth
