[Music] (Doorbell rings)

Ashley: Hi, come on in.

Victor: Since I haven't heard from you, I assume that Brad and Abby are still missing. That's what I was afraid of.

Ashley: I keep hoping there's a reasonable explanation.

Victor: Ashley, they've been gone for 24 hours. It's time to call the authorities.

Ashley: I've already called the police and a couple of hospitals just to make sure there hadn't been an accident, and thank God there hasn't been. I'm not ready to report them missing yet, Victor.

Victor: Look, the longer we wait, the harder it will be to track them down. What if he took her out of the country?

Ashley: He wouldnít.

Victor: Are you sure?

Ashley: No, I'm not sure.

Victor: So please call the police now.

Ashley: I canít.

Victor: If you can't, I will.

Ashley: I can't believe that he would leave me this way. I mean, he's told me many times that he was being pushed over the edge, but for him to do something this drastic...

Victor: I'm sorry that this happened to you.

Ashley: Is this really happening? Could he take Abby away like this?

Victor: I can't really imagine it, but I think it's time to find out. I think it's time to take action.

Nick: Hello, ladies. Come on in. I hope you like what you see.

Woman: So far, it's beautiful.

Woman #2: Well, I never would have believed that it could look this nice.

Nick: Well, take a look for yourselves. Have some food.

Woman: Thank you.

Woman #2: Thank you.

Mac: All you have to do is fill out this form, and you'll be registered to vote. No hassles. You just need the proper I.D. Hey, have you guys registered yet? Let's get you signed up. There you go.

Man: Hey, tell me something. Can you point Victor Newman out to me? I'd like to meet him.

Nick: My father had some other business to attend to, but he'll be along shortly. I know he's looking forward to personally greeting everyone.

Man: Okay, thanks.

Nick: No problem.

Nick: Hey.

Sharon: Hi.

Kevin: Hey.

Daniel: Kevin, what are you doing? Go on back upstairs. We don't anyone to see you around Alex.

Kevin: Yeah, I just want him to know who I am. Hey, you understand what the deal is?

Daniel: Come on, man, you're gonna blow the whole thing.

Kevin: Okay, okay, fine. I'm going.

Alex: What's his problem?

Daniel: He's just a little nervous.

Alex: So where's my girl?

Daniel: Lily's not here yet.

Alex: Lily, sweet flower.

Daniel: Yeah, I'm sure you're gonna like her. The question is, is she gonna like you?

Alex: Dude, I leave nothing to chance. Trust me.

Daniel: Just be cool. From now on, you don't know me, I don't know you.

Alex: But once I do my thing, you're gonna owe me, right?

Daniel: Yeah.

Lily: Mmm, very good pancakes, Mom. Thank you.

Dru: Aren't they always, sweetheart?

Lily: Mm-hmm, of course. Too bad Devon missed breakfast.

Dru: I know. He sure was anxious getting out of this house this morning.

Lily: Yeah, he couldn't wait to go to the Rec Center to help out with the final arrangements for the opening.

Dru: Mm-hmm, the miracle in that boy. Remember when he first came here, he'd sit around moping? Now he's the first one up out the door.

Lily: I know. You know, his personality has changed, too. When I first met him, he would barely smile, and now he's like this new person.

Dru: You know you bring that out in him, don't you? You two get along good, huh?

Lily: Yes, we do. Yesterday we had so much fun, and last night we rented a movie. I never thought we could actually hang out like friends.

Dru: Lily, I want to thank you for sharing your mother with Devon.

Lily: Well, of course, Mom.

Dru: I really think we're making a difference.

Lily: I think so, too. I'd better get ready for the open house. Thank you again for breakfast. It was delicious.

Dru: You're welcome, sweetie.

Neil: Good morning, sweetheart.

Lily: Hey, Dad.

Dru: Good morning, Neil.

Neil: Good morning.

Neil: Friends, huh?

Dru: Yeah. Do you see the way Devon and Lily are getting on?

Neil: Oh, yeah. Great, just great.

J.T.: What the hell? Hey, you can't keep your hands to yourself?

Brittany: Well, good morning to you, too.

J.T.: I was having a perfectly fine morning until I saw this.

Brittany: Oh, that?

J.T.: Yeah, that. You rewrote the lyrics to my song, Brittany.

Brittany: Did you like it?

J.T.: That's not the point. I didn't ask you for your input.

Brittany: No, but--

J.T.: But nothing. You want to be a songwriter, Brittany, go ahead and write your own stuff, okay? Leave mine alone.

Brittany: I don't know why you're getting so upset. It was just a little editing. Did you at least look at what I did?

J.T.: No, not really.

Brittany: Well, look at it. Tell me what you think.

J.T.: I can't tell anything from reading it. I'd have to play it.

Brittany: Great idea. Go for it.

J.T.: No, Brittany.

Brittany: What's the matter, J.T.? Afraid you'll like it too much?

Dru: You know, Neil, Lily and I were just talking about all the progress Devonís made since he moved into our home.

Neil: He's still got a long way to go, Dru.

Dru: Yeah, but you have to recognize the progress, don't you?

Neil: I guess so.

Dru: Oh, give the boy some credit where credit is due, honey.

Neil: It seems to me to be all a moot point anyway, seeing that his stay here is only temporary.

Dru: It doesn't have to be, especially if you would consider, you know...

Neil: Forget it, Dru. We've been all through this, haven't we? Hey, by the way, have you made that phone call to Lorena Davis?

Dru: What call?

Neil: She was supposed to let us know when a place opened up for Devon.

Dru: Oh, yeah, yeah. I made that call, and she just hasn't returned one, you know.

Neil: Why don't you make that call again? I want to get this thing settled as soon as possible.

Dru: You know, I have to tell you, it sounds like you've turned on the boy.

Neil: No, I havenít. Basically, Devonís a good kid, but I think you should know what I walked in on last night.

Ashley: I canít.

Victor: You've got to be strong.

Ashley: It's not about being strong, Victor. As soon as I call the police, it's completely out of my control. There will be nothing left to salvage. Brad already thinks that I'm on your side.

Victor: Ashley that does not give him the right to run away with our child.

Ashley: Of course not, but I want to handle this privately, okay? No police, please.

Victor: All right, then I'll tell you what. I will contact some people I know. They'll handle it. But we have got to take action now.

Ashley: All right, do whatever you have to do.

(Door closes)

Ashley: Hi!

Abby: Hi, Mommy. I missed you.

Ashley: Hi, baby, it's you! I missed you! I'm so happy to see my baby. I'm so happy to see my baby.

(Playing ballad on guitar)

J.T.: Another day another try another chance to do or die there's a winner every day and your dreams no one can steal you know life can be a thrill if you make it never forget how to see this is our moment our time, our place

J.T. And Brittany: Life's for living love's for giving and that's the reason to carry on to carry on to carry on

J.T.: All right, now slow it down.

J.T. And Brittany: To carry on

Brittany: (Laughs) well, it's good, huh?

J.T.: Yeah, I've heard worse.

Brittany: Admit it. You liked it.

J.T.: Okay, yeah, I liked it.

Brittany: I knew it. See, I told you those gloomy lyrics wouldn't work. The song is so much better this way. It's more hopeful, more romantic.

J.T.: Somebody's got Bobby Marsino on the brain.

Brittany: So what if I do?

J.T.: I just, uh... I just don't see what you see in that guy.

Brittany: Well, you don't have to. You're not the one who's marrying him. Do you want to work on it some more?

J.T.: No, I canít.

Brittany: Why not? We make a good team. Let's keep going.

J.T.: Maybe later. I got some errands to run. I'm gonna stop over at the Rec Center.

Brittany: To see Mac?

J.T.: They're having an open house. I thought I'd show up. You know, it wouldn't kill you to make an appearance, too.

Brittany: Thanks, but I have an appointment at the hospital.

J.T.: Oh, yeah, that's right. You're gonna see the plastic surgeon today.

Brittany: To see what lurks underneath this bandage.

J.T.: Wow, you nervous?

Brittany: A little.

J.T.: Want some company?

Brittany: Thanks, but you don't have to do that.

J.T.: Yeah, I know I don't have to do it, but I thought you might want someone there to celebrate with you when you see how good you look.

Brittany: Or someone with a shoulder to cry on when I find out the surgery didn't work.

J.T.: Oh, now who's being gloomy? You know what? I think I will show up. I want to be there to see you eat your words.

(Knock on door)

Brittany: Bobby!

Bobby: Hey, good-lookin'. How you doin'?

Brittany: Hey, mmm.

Abby: I missed you, Mommy.

Ashley: Oh, honey, you have no idea how much I missed you.

Victor: Where'd you take her, Bradley?

Brad: Wisconsin Dells. Great place for a family outing.

Ashley: I'm just glad that my baby's home.

Abby: We had so much fun. We go to a water park and played miniature golf.

Ashley: You did?

Victor: Well, I'm glad you had a good time, very glad. See you soon. Bye-bye.

Ashley: We'll talk. And you should go upstairs and say hi to your dollies, 'cause you know what? Your dollies missed you so much, too. And your daddy and I need a little bit of alone time, okay?

Abby: Okay, Mommy.

Ashley: I'll be up in a little bit to see you, okay?

Abby: I'm coming, dollies!

Dru: So, um, what is it that you walked in on last night, Neil?

Neil: When I came home, Lily and Devon, right there, sitting together on the couch.

Dru: So what?

Neil: So what? They were watching a DVD, some kind of horror film, I think. Things looked pretty cozy. They were holding hands.

Dru: Wait, wait, wait, hold up. If you're insinuating that something is going on between Devon and Lily, you are absolutely out of your mind.

Neil: It's possible.

Dru: It's impossible, okay? Impossible. I've never seen anything that would substantiate this kind of behavior ever.

Neil: Hold on a minute. Wait, wait, wait. Why does it sound so far-fetched? I mean, come on, he's a good-looking kid. She's a beautiful girl, plus we know what a soft spot she has for him.

Dru: They're friends. They're friends, and that's it. Neil, stop it.

Neil: They're also teenagers full of raging hormones. That friendship could kick up into high gear any second.

Dru: Your imagination is running overtime. I mean, you saw the kids holding hands. Now all this? Stop!

Neil: All I know is what I saw.

Dru: You know, for a New York second I thought you were gonna tell me that they were locking lips.

Neil: Now you see? That's coming next.

Dru: Did you talk to her?

Neil: No, I didn't want to embarrass her in front of Devon.

Dru: What about later?

Neil: I couldnít. I didn't have the chance. She went to bed.

Dru: Mm-hmm.

Neil: Now do you understand why it's so important that he not stay here that much longer?

Dru: I don't know about all this, Neil.

Neil: Honey, we're gonna have to keep a close, watchful eye on them as long as he's here under this roof.

Dru: Okay, I'll talk to her, all right?

Neil: Good. You gonna talk to her soon?

Dru: Soon, soon.

Neil: Soon, all right. Listen, I gotta get to work. You want to carpool?

Dru: No, I'll drive myself to work. I'll talk to Lily.

Neil: All right, take care.

Dru: All right.

Neil: I'll talk to you later.

Sierra: Gosh, can you believe who they let in this place?

Kevin: Hey, I've got a right to be here, like anyone else.

Kevin: You'll change your attitude real soon, ladies, if everything goes right.

Nick: Hey, babe.

Sharon: Hey, how's it going?

Nick: Well, my hand's a little sore from doing all the handshaking. I hope Dad gets here soon to help out. Mom's here.

Sharon: Yeah, I know. I saw her.

Nick: Tell me something. Do you think she seems like herself today?

Sharon: No, not really.

Paul: Hi, Nikki.

Nikki: Oh! Hi, Paul.

Paul: I'm sorry. You okay?

Nikki: Yeah, I'm just thinking. The place looks good, huh?

Paul: Um, yeah. I mean, I didn't see it before, but it looks great now. So tell me, did you have a chance to talk to Victor? What?

Chris: What are you doing here?

Lauren: Oh, Paul and I decided to see Victor's project. You know, we woke up this morning, got out of bed, and it wasn't a busy day.

Chris: You know, spare me the details.

Lauren: Why? Do they bother you? (Applause)

Victor: Thank you very much. Thank you. I did not do all of this alone, I promise you. It was mostly responsible to the Project Director Jamal. Would you come up here, Jamal?

Jamal: Thank you.

Victor: And all of you who worked on this-- my friend Michael Stewart, my boxing friend, come over here. Everyone who worked on this, come on over. Step in, girls. I heard that you swung a hammer. Yes, and you painted the wall, didn't you?

Cassie: Yeah.

Victor: That's it. Thank you.

Brittany: What brings you here, Bobby?

Bobby: What, I need a reason to come see my favorite girl? How you doing, J.T.?

J.T.: How's it going?

Bobby: Eh, you know.

J.T.: No, I don't know. How's the club?

Bobby: It's good. We're just trying to get things ready for the reopening.

J.T.: Oh, yeah, that's right, your triumphant return into the stripping industry.

Brittany: J.T...

Bobby: Yeah. Well, we're gonna have dancers a few nights a week.

J.T.: Yeah, just until you can turn it into a full-time cabaret.

Bobby: That's gonna happen.

J.T.: Well, I'll believe it when I see it.

Bobby: Excuse me?

Brittany: J.T., didn't you say you have some errands to run today?

J.T.: Hey, I'm going, I'm going. I'll be back before your appointment, so don't leave without me. You guys have fun.

Lily: Bye, Mom! See you later!

Dru: Hey, Lily, wait. I want you to stick around. I need to ask you something.

Lily: Well, can it wait? I don't want to be late.

Dru: No, honey, it canít. I prom--come on over here. I promise not to be upset, but I need the truth.

Lily: About what?

Dru: Okay, this is from your Dad all right? He said he walked in last night, saw you and Devon on the couch sitting kind of close. He's concerned.

Lily: (Laughs) oh, my God. Are you serious?

Dru: Yeah, yeah, is anything going on with you and Devon?

Lily: No, we were watching some stupid scary movie, and I got scared, so I grabbed his hand. It was no big deal.

Dru: Exactly. Okay, that's what I said.

Lily: I mean, anyone could have been sitting next to me and I would have grabbed their hand. Are you kidding me?

Dru: Mm-hmm, such a relief. I knew that.

Lily: Devon is like a brother to me. I can't believe Dad would think anything else.

Dru: I know, I know.

Lily: Eww, me and Devon? Are you kidding? Don't even say that!

Dru: Don't worry, sweetheart. I'll tell Daddy no problem.

Lily: Okay, thank you. Dad is crazy. What is wrong with him? Okay, I'm gonna go.

Dru: Bye.

Lily: (Laughs)

Dru: Dad!

Lily: I know!

Dru: God!

Ashley: I hope you have a damn good explanation, because I just spent the whole night wondering if I would ever see my little girl again.

Brad: It's simple. I wanted to give you a taste of what it will be like if we keep letting Victor into Abbyís life.

Ashley: Oh, that's ridiculous.

Brad: Is it? You know how he operates, Ash. He's not gonna always call or ask for permission. In fact, the more he feels like he owns Abby, the more he'll pull stunts like he did the other day.

Ashley: What he did the other day was take her for a few hours, and he called.

Brad: Well, that didn't change how powerless I felt.

Ashley: So that's what this is about. You wanted to make me feel powerless.

Brad: I wanted to spend time with my daughter.

Ashley: Are you kidding me? That is no justification for disappearing with her like that! What you did is just short of kidnapping, Brad.

Brad: Kidnapping? You want to tell me where the hell that came from? Oh, wait, let me guess. Victor said it, right?

Kevin: Hey, Lauren. Thank God you're here.

Lauren: Oh, hi, Kevin. Why is that?

Kevin: I just mean that one minute I'm standing around with no one to talk to, and the next minute my favorite person, the person I like talking to most of all, is standing right here.

Lauren: Well, that's very sweet of you.

Kevin: Well, I mean it. So what do you think of the place?

Lauren: Um, I think its okay.

Kevin: Yeah.

Man: You have done a good thing here, Mr. Newman, and I thank you so much.

Victor: And I appreciate you saying that and appreciate you coming by.

Man: All right, sir, good seeing you.

Victor: Thank you.

Nick: Dad.

Victor: My boy. A lot of people saying a lot of nice things. It's nice.

Nick: You deserve it.

Victor: Thanks for saying that. You talk to your mom?

Nick: Yeah, I did. She's not looking well. Whatever you two are going through, I wish you'd get it settled, because it's obviously tearing her apart.

Victor: I know, and it worries me. I tried to convince her that that child is no threat to her.

Nick: Abby is not the one she's threatened by.

Victor: I know, I know, I know. You're talking about Ashley, but I tried to convince her that Ashley is no threat either. I just don't know what to do anymore. You know that she is involved with this wannabe Italian stallion, this whatever his name is-- Marsino something?

Nick: Marsino, the guy who runs the strip club downtown?

Victor: Exactly. Apparently some kind of a business involvement. Can you believe it?

Nick: What?

Victor: Yeah, I'm very upset by that. What is she involved with this sleazeball for? If you don't mind talking to her, I'd appreciate it.

Nick: Yeah, I will.

Paul: Whatever.

Chris: But you know you could teach these kids a thing or two about playing pool.

Paul: Yeah, I'd start with the old behind-the-back shot first. But what would I be doing for their character? That would be the real question there. Uh...

Chris: What?

Paul: Will you excuse me for just a minute?

Chris: Sure.

Lauren: Christine, I don't believe that you've met Kevin Fisher, well, not socially anyway. Kevin, Christine Blair, former prosecutor.

Kevin: Hi.

Chris: Hi.

Kevin: No hard feelings?

Paul: Talk to me, Nikki. What's going on?

Nikki: Paul, I just feel like I'm losing my mind. I don't know what to do.

Alex: Hello.

Lily: Hi.

Alex: Um, can I get you a drink?

Lily: Um, okay.

Alex: See, I really don't know anyone here. And I told myself, the next pretty girl that walked through that door, that's who I'm gonna talk to.

Lily: Well, lucky me, huh?

Alex: I was gonna say, "lucky me."

Lily: Well, I'm not really thirsty right now, but I do know a lot of these people, so I can introduce you, if you want.

Alex: That'd be great, I mean, unless you're here with someone.

Lily: No, no, no, I'm not.

Alex: Cool. Alex.

Lily: Lily.

Alex: Nice to meet you. Pretty name.

Lily: Thank you.

Alex: Okay, Lily, let's check this place out.

Lily: Okay.

Bobby: What's with your roommate?

Brittany: Oh, J.T. just likes to stir things up. Ignore him.

Bobby: Well, it's kind of tough with him giving me attitude. I don't know what his problem is, but every time I see him, he acts like he wants to start with me.

Brittany: Let's talk about something else. I have good news.

Bobby: Yeah, let me guess. You want to go to Vegas and elope.

Brittany: No, I have a doctor's appointment today. I'm getting my bandage off.

Bobby: Get out, for good?

Brittany: I think so.

Bobby: That's great.

Brittany: Well, maybe not. What if it turns out the same way it was before or worse?

Bobby: Nah, that's not gonna happen. Either way, you're gonna be beautiful no matter what. Why don't we celebrate and get some breakfast?

Brittany: Oh, thanks, but I'm not hungry.

Bobby: Okay, you sure you're feeling all right?

Brittany: I think I'm just worked up about my scar.

Bobby: That's all it is?

Brittany: Well, yeah. What else?

Bobby: I don't know. You tell me. The last few times we've been together, you've been pretty quiet. Is something on your mind?

Brittany: Actually, there is something I want to ask you. Tell me the truth, Bobby. Where do things stand with the club?

Ashley: Don't you dare start blaming other people, Brad. What you did was flat-out wrong.

Brad: I wanted you to understand where I'm coming from.

Ashley: Really? And how would you have reacted if I had done that to you?

Brad: I don't know, but your mind obviously went to the worst-case scenario.

Ashley: And why the hell wouldn't it? You've been acting irrationally lately.

Brad: Can you blame me? Can you blame me? That man is responsible for the death of my unborn son, and now he's trying to muscle in on my little girl. In the meantime, my wife leaves him a message on his answering machine saying, "I think we're going to prevail."

Ashley: So that's what this is about. It's payback for the message I left, huh? You decided to scare me half to death?

Brad: I was trying to do something to get through to you, because no matter what I say, it doesn't make a dent.

Ashley: So you tell me. How do I give you the benefit of the doubt after you pulled a stunt like that?

Brad: You didn't just say that. All you've been doing is giving Victor the benefit of the doubt your entire adult life, no matter what it's done to you, to your family, to your business or to your husband!

Ashley: That's not true.

Brad: It is true, and you're doing it again right now. You're taking his side.

Ashley: He's Abbyís biological father. He has certain rights. How many times can I say it?

Brad: No, he doesn't-- no rights. He has no legal rights whatsoever, not even for visitation.

Ashley: So you want him to drag us into court?

Brad: Are you kidding me? You think he's gonna take us to court? Why would he? You've already given him more power than any judge in his right mind ever would.

Ashley: You know what I've done? I've been reasonable. That's all I've done, and it hasn't hurt Abby at all. She has a nice connection with Victor.

Brad: You know, tell me something. How come a man who has been nothing but an anonymous sperm donor up until this point suddenly has so much importance? I'll tell you why. Because you're attached to him. That's why.

Michael Stewart: Mr. Newman.

Victor: Yes?

Michael Stewart: Phone for you.

Victor: Thank you.

Michael Stewart: Okay.

Victor: Thank you.

Lily: Now I'm not very good at pool, but I do like it.

Alex: Maybe I could give you a few tips.

Lily: That'd be nice. Not right now, but sure. Oh, those are my friends Cassie and Sierra. I can introduce you to them, if you want.

Alex: Not right now. I mean, I'll meet 'em, but I'm enjoying getting to know you. Mind if we wait?

Lily: No, not at all.

Alex: Cool.

Lily: Come on.

Nikki: I tried to talk to Victor. I wanted to tell him the whole thing, about the earrings and the home movie and the skeleton and everything that I'm going through. I don't know what it is-- hallucinations, memories-- I don't know.

Paul: Did he end up saying anything helpful?

Nikki: No, of course not. He's much too consumed in his life to worry about my little problems.

Paul: I'm sorry, Nikki.

Nikki: Paul, listen, the other day you were about to tell me something and I wouldn't let you. Were you gonna give me more information on Joshua Cassen?

Paul: Yeah, I was, but I'm worried about the effect this is having on you. I don't think it's a good idea.

Nikki: Well, so am I.

Paul: Maybe we should consult someone.

Nikki: I don't want to consult with anybody. If you know more information, I want you to tell me.

Paul: Not now, Nikki. This is not the right place.

Nikki: What? Not-- okay, fine. I guess we'll talk sometime in the future.

Paul: Nikki!

Sharon: Nikki, are you all right?

Nikki: Not really. You, on the other hand, seem nice and rested.

Sharon: Uh, I'm sorry. Shouldn't I be?

Nikki: Well, now that you don't have to worry about Cameron Kirsten, why not? And you know what? You look positively radiant.

Sharon: Thank you.

Nikki: Thank you? That's it, thank you?

Sharon: Uh, yeah, I mean...

Nikki: After everything that I have done for you, that's all I get?

Paul: Well, young Mr. Fisher.

Kevin: Hi.

Paul: It's not often you get to see your victims socially, now is it?

Chris: Paul.

Kevin: Yeah, pretty rude.

Chris: You do realize how much you owe this man.

Kevin: Yeah, I guess.

Chris: There's no guessing about it, Kevin. Paul went to bat for you big time.

Bobby: Come on, do we have to get into the club right now?

Brittany: Is there some reason you don't want to talk about it?

Bobby: I was just hoping I could come over here and spend a nice morning with you.

Brittany: I'm not trying to start an argument.

Bobby: Yeah, I know. Look, nothing's changed. I still don't have the money to turn the place into a full-time cabaret, so I gotta keep the dancers. The only good news is that I have a new partner, not a financial one, but one that's gonna help me out with some advice.

Brittany: Who is it?

Bobby: Nikki Newman.

Brittany: Nikki?

Bobby: Mm-hmm.

Brittany: Why would she want anything to do with Marilynís?

Bobby: Well, that's a long story.

Brittany: I'd like to hear it.

Bobby: I bet you would. Um, I don't think she'd mind me telling you. Well, Nikki used to be a dancer at the club. Now this was way back when it was called the Bayou. And let me tell you something, she was the hottest thing around. Guys came from all over the place to see her

Brittany: No way.

Bobby: Uh-huh.

Brittany: I had no idea. This was before she married Victor?

Bobby: No, they met there. He comes walking in, she's up on stage. The rest was history. She had that effect on a lot of guys.

Brittany: Okay, but that was years ago. Why is she doing this now?

Bobby: I don't know. I guess she still feels a connection to the place, wants to see it survive. To be honest with you, I don't know what's going on in Nikki's head, but bottom line is I need help, and when a class act like Nikki Newman comes along, you don't say no.

Brittany: Well, if this is such good news, why do you seem so down about it?

Bobby: Because it wasn't part of the plan. I didn't want to have to keep the strip club open, but I can't turn the place into a cabaret without cash.

Brittany: But you'll get the money eventually, right?

Bobby: Well, maybe. See, there's another problem. All my best girls, they're gone, so these new girls I got coming in, I don't know if they're gonna be able to pull in the same kind of cash that the other ones were. So I don't know what's gonna happen.

Brittany: Well, I'm sorry, Bobby. I had no idea the situation had gotten so bad. I can't help but feel guilty. You put everything at risk because of me.

Bobby: No, no, no, this isn't your fault. The cabaret was my idea, and I still think it's a good one. I made a promise to you-- your own place, something that you can be proud of. And I'm gonna do my best to make that happen. It just might take a little longer than I thought.

Brittany: I'm glad you're not giving up.

Bobby: Nah, I'm never gonna give up, babe. Come here.

Brittany: Everything's gonna work out. I know it will.

Ashley: You seem to be forgetting that this isn't about what I did. This is about what you did.

Brad: Don't you dare try and make me the bad guy. I didn't create this situation.

Ashley: No, you didn't, but you've done everything in your power to make it worse. I told you why it was important to me to have a child, and, yeah, Victor is a big part of that. But if I had known then how things were gonna turn out, then, yeah, I would have handled things differently.

Brad: But you didnít.

Ashley: No, I didn't, Brad, because I can't see the future.

Brad: Ash, I don't think you can see the present.

Ashley: I want what's best for our little girl.

Brad: I wonder if you really know what that is. I mean, how could you now that Victor's pulling your strings?

Ashley: What are you saying?

Brad: I don't know if I want you raising my little girl.

Ashley: So you want to file for divorce? You want to fight me for custody? Is that what you want?

Lauren: Michael, its Lauren. I'm here at Victor's new Rec Center at 55 Market Street. Your brother is here, too, not to mention the lovely Christine, who is getting on my nerves. Could you please come down here and help me as soon as you can? Thanks.

Paul: So is he on tour or not on tour?

Chris: You are so interested in when Dannyís coming back. He is not on tour yet.

Lily: (Laughs) are you always this funny?

Alex: Only when I'm in love.

Lily: Okay, stop.

Alex: Listen, you sure you don't want something to drink? I heard someone say the orange juice is freshly squeezed.

Lily: I'll have some of that.

Alex: Wait here. I'll bring it to you.

Lily: Oh, service. I like it.

Cassie: Who is that guy?

Sierra: I don't know, but she's sure keeping him to herself, isn't she?

Devon: That dude is all over her.

Sierra: Well, down, boy. He's not hurting her.

Cassie: Look at her. She's having a ball.

Alex: I leave nothing to chance.

Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Bobby: Sometimes talking just doesn't get the job done. You know what I mean?

Ashley: Are you gonna try to take my daughter away from me, Brad? Do you want a divorce?

Daniel: Ready, big guy? Almost time to play hero
