Cameron: Hi.

Sharon: I told the concierge and hotel security that I was coming up here. If I'm not back in the lobby in 20 minutes--

Cameron: So I'm sensing this isn't a social call.

Sharon: How perceptive.

Cameron: Well, should I invite you in, or you want to talk in the hallway?

Sharon: I'd rather we talked privately.

Cameron: Hey, I can leave the door open if you want.

Sharon: Suit yourself.

Cameron: Well, as you can imagine, I'm, uh, I'm a little surprised to see you here.

Sharon: You've won, Cameron. I give up.

Cameron: I beg your pardon?

Sharon: Thanks to you, I have been charged with murder. The police have what seems to be overwhelming evidence against me.

Cameron: What's that got to do with me?

Sharon: Everything! You're the reason that I am in this mess. Do you realize that if I am found guilty, I could go to prison for the rest of my life?

(Knock on door)

Nick: Hey, mom, come on in.

Nikki: Hi. Your father's with me.

Nick: Have either of you seen Sharon?

Nikki: No. She's not up at the main house.

Nick: She must be out somewhere, but she didn't leave me a note.

Victor: Well, now that's rather alarming, considering everything that has happened.

Nikki: I told him the whole story.

Nick: Mother, I asked you not to get him involved.

Victor: Son, why didn't you come to me when all this started?

Nick: Because I'm perfectly capable of dealing with my own problems.

Victor: Well, obviously not. Otherwise, your wife wouldn't have been arrested for a murder she didn't commit.

Nikki: Victor, please.

Nick: No, mom. It's all right. I'm used to him treating me like a little kid who has to go running to daddy every time there's a problem. He's always treated me this way. Nothing's changed.

Dru: Neil... how did I get so lucky, getting you?

Neil: I don't know. You sure hit the lottery, didn't you?

Dru: Honey, I'm serious. You've put your own concerns aside-- just having so much respect for my passion, believing that I can accomplish something with this foster child, letting me run with it.

Neil: Hey, baby, you know what? If De--when Devon comes to live with us, we're all runnin' with this thing, you know? I mean it. He's living with us for better or for worse.

Dru: It's gonna be for better, honey. I guarantee it.

Neil: Yeah, I'm optimistic about it.

Dru: So am I.

Neil: Yeah?

Dru: So am I.

Neil: Well, I gotta tell you something. Come here, you.

Dru: (Giggles)

Neil: I love it when you get mad excited about something. You look so sexy. Mama, I love you so much.

Dru: Honey--no, I want to tell you something.

Neil: What?

Dru: The kids are gonna be home very soon.

Neil: So what? Give me ten minutes.

Dru: I can't give you ten minutes.

Neil: Come on.

Dru: I'd love to. Sweetheart, listen, listen, I love you, I love you.

Neil: I love you, too.

Dru: But I want to make sure that Devonís room is perfect when he gets here. I'm gonna buy him a toothbrush. And I wonder what kind of juice he likes. And you know what? We have new sheets. I want to get those sheets on the bed. I'm gonna put some towels...

Neil: And so it begins.

Lily: Hey, Dad.

Neil: Hey there, Lily. Devon.

Phyllis: Hey!

Daniel: Hi.

Phyllis: I'm back.

Daniel: Yeah, so I see.

Phyllis: I was hoping you'd be here.

Daniel: Well, look fast, 'cause I'm not staying.

Phyllis: Where you going?

Daniel: Out.

Phyllis: To Chris and Dannyís?

Daniel: To get some air, okay? This doesn't exactly feel like home.

Phyllis: Oh. Yeah. Um, well, I know--I know it doesn't feel like home. But give it some time because--

Daniel: I hope you found an apartment for us.

Phyllis: No, not yet. But--but be patient with me.

Daniel: You know, I'm tired of living out of a suitcase.

Phyllis: Yeah, but, you know, that could be an adventure. (Laughs)

Daniel: Oh, boy.

Phyllis: Listen, Daniel, um... hey, Daniel, I'm tryin' here. Okay? Can't you see I'm tryin'?

Daniel: You know what? All I see is me crashing on another couch in another apartment belonging to another man that I've never even met. Don't you get it, Mom? All I want is someplace permanent. I just want a real home.

Phyllis: I know, I know. And that's what I'm trying to give you right here.

Michael: Oh, yeah. Right there. Right there. Ohh! Ohh! Oh. Okay. Yes. Oh, yeah. (Doorbell rings)

Michael: Oh. Kevin, if you forgot your keys again, you can just wait out there for the next half hour.

Chris: Michael. Michael, it's me.

Michael: Oh.

Woman: Stay put.

Michael: All right.

Chris: (Chuckles) oh, my, my, my. Is this how the other half lives?

Michael: You care to partake? Helga here is strong like bull, big like--oh, okay. It was Jacquelyn. It'll do you a world of good.

Chris: Do I seem uptight to you?

Michael: Uh, now that you mention it--

Chris: You know what? Okay. Hold on. You indisposed. We'll do this later.

Michael: Don't you dare leave.

Chris: And who's gonna stop me?

Michael: Hey, it's not like it's something you haven't seen before.

Jacquelyn: Yes, well, I haven't, and I'd like to keep it that way.

Michael: Okay. I'm surrounded by people who are not the least bit fun.

Chris: So I was expecting to see a houseful. Where is everyone?

Michael: I chased them off. I just wanted one minute of solitude, some tranquility, before I have to leave town for a deposition.

Chris: Oh, you poor baby.

Michael: Hey, look, between running a law firm single-handedly and trying to deal with an onslaught of whacked-out relatives, every muscle in my body is permanently tense. I'm sure Jacquelyn here would be overjoyed to hear that you're here to rescue me.

Brad: So what did your friends do when they saw all those bees?

Abby: Well, at first, they wanted to run. But when they saw I wasn't scared, they sat still and the bees flew away.

Brad: Well, they did? Just like that?

Abby: I remembered what you told me, Daddy. If you leave the bees alone, they'll leave you alone.

Brad: Hmm. You know what? I am so proud of you. You were so brave.

Abby: Really?

Brad: Yeah. Bees can be scary. But you stayed calm.

Abby: I learned it from you, Daddy. You know everything.

Brad: (Chuckles)

Ashley: Doesn't he, though?

Damon: May I recommend the tuna?

Diane: Well, now. Where did you come from?

Damon: Originally or just now?

Diane: Ha ha. You have time for a drink?

Damon: If I'm buyin'.

Diane: That works for me.

Damon: You know, if you'd like to order dinner--

Diane: Oh, no, no, no rush. Come on, sit down. Tell me what's going on in your life.

Damon: Ladies first. How are things with Jack?

Diane: Nonexistent.

Damon: Oh, I'm sorry to hear that.

Diane: Yeah, since he left Jabot, I hardly ever see him. But c'est la vie. Figure if that's the worst problem I have in life...

Damon: That's a good attitude.

Diane: Yeah. Now--now you, on the other hand, have a lot to contend with. More than you probably bargained for. Am I right?

Damon: Well, I would be happy to let you know as soon as you told me what you were talking about.

Diane: Oh. I am talking about your girlfriend suddenly foisting her teenage son on you. Tell me that didn't come outta the blue.

Lily: So you guys really mean this? You want Devon to come live with us.

Dru: Yes, sweetheart.

Neil: Yes, temporarily. Until they find a group home closer to town.

Dru: If that's okay with you.

Lily: No, of course it's okay with me. You guys, that is so nice of you. Thank you so much.

Dru: Thank your Father.

Lily: Thank you, Daddy.

Neil: You're welcome, honey.

Lily: (Chuckles)

Dru: Hi.

Devon: Hey.

Neil: So did you find the hand towels okay?

Devon: Yeah, yeah. I hung it back up on the, uh...

Devon: What are you guys smiling about?

Lily: Um, can I tell him?

Dru: Sure, honey.

Devon: Tell me what? I don't like surprises, Lily, all right? Spit it out. What's going on?

Brad: (Makes clicking sound)

Abby: (Giggles)

Brad: You all packed?

Ashley: No, not yet.

Abby: All packed for what, Mommy?

Ashley: I have to be gone for a couple of days on a business trip, sweetie.

Abby: I'll miss you. Will you miss me?

Ashley: Oh, I think I'm gonna miss you guys both a bunch. But I'll call you every day.

Abby: Will you bring me a present, too?

Ashley: (Gasps) oh. We'll see about that. But I think your daddy has something special planned for you.

Brad: No, I have nothing special planned. Nothing at all.

Ashley: Yes, you do.

Brad: I do? Oh, I do! That's right. I'm gonna take you to your first Brewers game.

Abby: Really?

Brad: Mm-hmm.

Abby: Can I get a hat?

Brad: I think we can get you a hat, sure.

Frances: Excuse me, Mr. And Mrs. Carlton. Is Abby ready to go to the dentist?

Abby: The dentist?! Do I have to?

Brad: Oh, come on. You always have fun with Dr. Wallace. And we have to keep that beautiful smile perfect, don't we?

Ashley: Thanks so much for taking her, Frances. Come on. You gotta go to the checkup. All right? I'll see you in a little while.

Brad: Come here. Give me a kiss. I love you.

Ashley: Bye, sweetie pie.

Brad: See you later.

Abby: I love you, Daddy.

Ashley: What about me?

Abby: I love you, too, Mommy.

Ashley: Thanks. (Laughs)

Brad: (Laughs)

Phyllis: Um, did you ever think that maybe you could like living here?

Daniel: No.

Phyllis: No?! Hey, what's up with that attitude? Daniel... Daniel... Damonís a really nice guy. Give him a chance. You could like him.

Daniel: I-I'm not the one you need to convince. It's pretty obvious that he doesn't want me here.

Phyllis: Absolutely untrue. He-he wants you here.

Daniel: Well, he's doing a great job of hiding it.

Phyllis: Okay, Daniel, I mean, this is a pretty big change for Damon, okay? I mean, we've just sort of sprung this on him. And if you're as private as he is, I mean, you know, your reaction to all of this could come off a little, uh, maybe unfriendly.

Daniel: You know, I'm getting pretty sick of all these lame excuses about what's really going on here.

Phyllis: What's really going on here?

Daniel: Oh, come on. I mean, no matter how you try and spin it, this is Damonís place. And if he doesn't want to live here with his girlfriend's kid, I mean, so be it. That's his right.

Damon: How on earth would you know about that?

Diane: Danny Romalotti-- big celebrity? Word travels.

Damon: You're telling me that he--

Diane: His son stormed out and went to live with his mother, who happens to live with you. Talk of the town.

Damon: It makes me so sad people can't manage to stay outta other people's business.

Diane: Well, I'm sure once he goes back to Switzerland...

Damon: He ain't goin'.

Diane: Really? Daniel's staying in Genoa City?

Damon: It does look that way.

Diane: Wow. Instant family. You up for it?

Damon: Well, it's pretty well moot, actually. They're gonna be movin' out, finding a place together.

Diane: Ah. And I'm sure I can guess whose idea that was.

Damon: It's best for everyone concerned.

Diane: Oh, come on, Damon. Admit it. You engineered it. It's part of your pattern.

Damon: My pattern? What pattern would that be?

Diane: Relationship claustrophobia.

Damon: Come again.

Diane: Oh, oh, there you are. Um, excuse me. Could you tell me what wines you have by the glass?

Man: Let me show you our wine list, ma'am.

Michael: Unh-unh, unh-unh. Wipe that smirk off your face, young lady. You're making me feel dirty.

Chris: It was just interesting, seeing you like that.

Michael: Well, you had your chance. What brings you by?

Chris: (Sighs) I needed to see a friendly face.

Michael: Hmm. Hmm. So is this a, uh, a red wine problem or a grain alcohol problem?

Chris: No, it's a water problem.

Michael: (Sighs) those are the worst.

Chris: I need to keep a clear head.

Michael: What's going on?

Chris: It has to do with Phyllis and Danny and Daniel.

Cameron: I'm sorry to hear about your troubles, Sharon, but, uh, what do you want from me?

Sharon: I'm desperate, Cameron. Is there anything I can do to persuade you to help me get out of this horrible mess?

Victor: Did it ever occur to you when all this happened that I might be able to help?

Nick: I already told you, I don't need your help.

Nikki: Look, the only thing you two should be worried about is Sharon and what's gonna happen to her and this family if we don't figure something out.

Victor: Son, I'm aware of all the evidence against her. What are you gonna do?

Nick: Sharon and I have a plan.

Victor: I'd like to be able to help, you know, if you'll allow me. I have a lot of influence in this town.

Nick: Cameron doesn't care that I'm Victor Newmanís son. He came after Sharon because he is obsessed with her. He'd be doing this even if we were broke.

Victor: But, son, I'm not talking about money. You know damn well that I'm connected with a lot of powerful people in this town.

Nick: You're also on probation. You pled guilty to a felony. Where were your connections then?

Nikki: Nicholas.

Cameron: Does your husband know you're here?

Sharon: No.

Cameron: The police?

Sharon: No. No one knows. Only the people I mentioned downstairs.

Cameron: I don't believe you.

Sharon: What, you think I'm wearing a wire?

Cameron: Are you?

Sharon: You satisfied?

Cameron: I haven't been satisfied since that night in Denver.

Sharon: A night that changed my life forever.

Cameron: Believe me, it changed mine as well. Now thanks for the peep show, but, uh, I still don't trust you.

Sharon: I don't blame you. Why would you trust the woman whose life you're trying to destroy?

Cameron: Oh, but you still came here by yourself to ask for my help.

Sharon: I had nowhere else to turn.

Cameron: Mm-hmm. Well, I'm flattered. But, uh, I just don't see how I can help you. I mean, considering I had nothing to do with the predicament that you're in.

Sharon: You killed Frank Barritt.

Cameron: I didn't even know Frank Barritt.

Sharon: Admit it, Cameron. You framed me.

Cameron: No, Sharon, I didnít. It was in your head like I been tellin' you.

Sharon: Come on, Cameron. It's just you and me here, we're alone. No one's listening.

Cameron: I don't care if the pope is here. What, do you want me to confess to a crime I didn't commit?

Sharon: I'm begging you to tell me the truth.

Cameron: The truth? The truth is I had nothing to do with Frank Barrittís death, all right?

Sharon: Obviously you don't care if I go to prison.

Cameron: Of course I care. But there's nothing that I can do about it.

Sharon: So I'm supposed to sacrifice the rest of my life for your crime?

Cameron: What do you want me to say to that? I just don't think there's any way I can help you.

Sharon: You are the only person who can.

Cameron: I'm afraid you're wrong.

Sharon: So I guess I'm on my own here, then.

Cameron: Yeah. So it would seem.

Sharon: Thanks for nothing.

Cameron: Sharon, wait.

Sharon: What?

Cameron: If... if there was some way that I could help you out of this fix you've gotten yourself into, what would be in it for me?

Brad: What are you smiling about?

Ashley: I was watching you and Abby from the stairs.

Brad: You were?

Ashley: It's wonderful to see the way you two relate to each other. You're so sweet and you're so... you're so caring.

Brad: She's my little girl.

Ashley: She is, Brad. No one's ever gonna take that away from you.

Brad: Tell that to Newman. We shouldn't have to fight him for our little girl like this.

Ashley: No, that's true, we shouldnít. She does deserve a normal, healthy childhood.

Brad: I couldn't agree more.

Ashley: You're not gonna like what I have to say, but I think we should let Victor have unsupervised visits with her.

Brad: You think what?

Ashley: I think we should let him be alone with her.

Brad: You've got to be kidding me.

Ashley: There's compelling reasons why I feel this way.

Brad: There are compelling reasons for us to keep him out of her life altogether. Ash, we had an arrangement.

Ashley: I know. I know. But unfortunately, that arrangement doesn't work for everybody it involved.

Brad: You mean it doesn't work for Newman.

Ashley: And he's a big part of this, Vrad.

Brad: I'm gonna tell you this one more time. The man can't be trusted, especially with our daughter.

Ashley: And I don't agree.

Brad: No. (Chuckles) of course you donít. Because no matter what, you seem to be able to forget the harm he's caused this family, your family.

Ashley: You know, I cannot change the past.

Brad: You know what, Ash? Maybe you canít. But it would be great if you could just learn from it just one time. Look what he did to Jack. Look what he's done to Jabot with his illegal schemes. Look what he's done to us. The man is out to destroy your family. How can you cater to him so willingly?

Chris: So now apparently he's living over there. I say "apparently" since Daniel hasn't been speaking to either one of us.

Michael: Phyllis, Damon and Daniel under the same roof. And I thought my household was bizarre.

Chris: Danny's so upset. I don't blame him. We just don't know how to approach this.

Michael: Well, legally speaking, it's pretty cut and dried.

Chris: Oh, Michael, it's so much more complex than that.

Michael: Families always are.

Chris: Speaking of which, now that your mother's here and your brother...

Michael: The current topic wasn't depressing enough?

Chris: So how is Kevin anyway, now that he's out of jail? You know, let me say, that I wound up quitting my job over the guy, I still haven't met him.

Michael: Well, thank your lucky stars.

Chris: You're not getting along?

Michael: Kevin--Kev---- how should I put this? He is definitely better in theory than he is in reality.

Chris: There's never a dull moment with you, is there?

Michael: Ah, yes, and the same could be true for you if you rejoin the exciting world of Baldwin & Williams.

Chris: Oh, brother.

Michael: It was the perfect segue.

Chris: You have to stop.

Michael: No, I'm not gonna stop. I need you, Christine. Honest to God, have you any idea how swamped I've been?

Chris: Yes, I know. I hear you have been litigating these poor fingers to the bone.

Michael: Look at 'em. They're worn down to nubbins. Look, all kidding aside, I--

Chris: I-I... okay. I can't commit to a job right now. I don't even know if I want to continue practicing law. But I'll tell you this, (whispers) I'll think about it.

Michael: Yeah? You promise? Because I swear, my massage bills... I'm gonna have to take out a second mortgage.

Chris: Why don't you have your cute little massage girl move on in?

Michael: Oh, no. She'd snap me like a dry twig.

Chris: Oh. Yuck.

Devon: So y'all aren't pulling my leg or...

Dru: (Laughs)

Lily: No, of course not.

Devon: You guys really want me to stay here with you?

Dru: Yes. We really want you to stay here with us. We--we've talked it out as a family. We've even arranged it with your social worker Ms. Davis.

Devon: What happened to the group home in Green Bay? I mean, did they decide they didn't want me or--

Dru: No, honey. You don't need to be at Green Bay. We don't want you to be far away from your friends.

Lily: Yeah, and the places you're used to.

Dru: This way, you can continue to work at the recreation center, go to school here in the fall.

Devon: Look, look, look, look, guys.

Dru: What?

Devon: I-I know you guys are trying to help, but--

Dru: We're trying to help, that's right. Is there a problem?

Lily: I mean, do you want to go to Green Bay?

Neil: Understand, Devon, this is temporary. Until they find you a group home here in town.

Devon: So for how long?

Dru: As long as it takes.

Devon: But it's just for awhile, right, like just for a couple of nights?

Lily: Do you not want it to be longer?

Devon: What I want don't mean much, all right? I don't get to decide my life.

Dru: That is not true. Devon, we don't want to force you to do anything you don't want to do. Now if you want to go up to Green Bay--

Lily: No, no, no, no, he does not want that.

Devon: You don't know what I want, all right?

Lily: Well, Devon, listen to me.

Devon: No, look, guys, this is just too nice, okay? I don't believe it. I mean, there's gotta be a catch or something.

Dru: Listen, Devon, we're not trying to force you to do anything you don't want to do. We want to help you. There's no catch. There are no tricks up our sleeves, honestly.

Devon: But it's just for awhile, though, right?

Dru: A day at a time.

Devon: And if I don't like it?

Dru: We could make other arrangements.

Lily: No, but you will like it, okay? So stop fighting it and just let me show you to your room.

Lily: It's okay. Come on. Thank you, Mom and Dad.

Devon: Yeah.

Victor: Don't you think it'd be best to talk about your problem and not mine? It's your wife that faces a lifetime in jail.

Nick: Don't you think I know that? You just don't get it, do you?

Victor: Son, I don't get what?

Nick: Kirsten has committed the perfect crime.

Nikki: Nicholas is right. I mean, the evidence that he planted is gonna make it virtually impossible for Sharon to be acquitted.

Victor: There's no such thing as the perfect crime.

Nick: Well, this one comes pretty damn close.

Victor: Where is this guy? I want to take care of him.

Nick: No, Dad, you have to stay out of this. I've got it covered. I'm gonna make him pay for what he's done to this family.

Victor: Have you forgotten that I'm a member of this family as well?

Nick: No. But it's my wife and kids who will suffer if this bastard gets away with it.

Victor: Will you at least tell me what your plans are?

Nick: Why?

Victor: What do you mean, why? I might be able to help.

Nick: I have spent months trying to figure out what makes this guy tick. I'm gonna bring him down. Make no mistake about it, I will beat him.

Victor: And you don't think you need all the help you can get?

Nick: For the first time in your life, your interference could ruin everything. So please let me do this my way. Stay out of it.

Sharon: I'll do just about anything. My life is at stake here.

Cameron: Anything?

Sharon: Um... I, uh, I can pay you. Just name a price.

Cameron: Sharon, I'm a billionaire. I don't need your money.

Sharon: Then what's it gonna take? Is there anything else I have that might persuade you?

Cameron: That almost sounds like you're suggesting...

Sharon: What?

Cameron: What do you think, a little roll in the hay is gonna get you off the hook?

Sharon: Would it?

Cameron: Now I know that you're trying to entrap me.

Sharon: No, Cameron. I'm just trying to save my future. And I am willing to do whatever it takes.

Cameron: Well, if you think sex can do it, you're wrong.

Sharon: Look, uh, you're a rich and powerful man. I think if you set your mind to it, you could come up with some way to get the police off my back.

Sharon: Please. Is there any way I can convince you to help me?

Cameron: Maybe. But I'm not sure anything can save you from a charge this serious.

Sharon: Um, will you think about it?

Cameron: Yeah. Yeah, I'll think about it.

Sharon: Okay.

Sharon: Call me, okay?

Cameron: Yeah. We'll see. .Yeah.

Ashley: It's called a compromise.

Brad: A compromise? You're giving the man everything he wants.

Ashley: Brad, I'm just responding the best way I know how to an extremely delicate situation.

Brad: Oh, come on, Ash. Open your eyes.

Ashley: He just wants to get to know this little girl.

Brad: And to hell with the rest of your family, right?

Ashley: You know, Victor's business practices have nothing to do with his feelings for Abby.

Brad: Victor's feelings for Abby? What about my feelings for Abby? Tell me why you always put Victor's feelings ahead of mine.

Ashley: Okay.

Phyllis: Um, Daniel, I think this is a little more about you than it is about Damon.

Daniel: Yeah. Right. This is his place, remember? I mean, I don't really have a say in the matter.

Phyllis: Well, I have to be honest. I think you're putting up roadblocks everywhere I turn.

Daniel: Yeah, you think? What happens when you and Damon want some alone time? What's he gonna do, send me to my room?

Phyllis: (Laughs) well, you know, that'll work itself out, right?

Daniel: As long as it works out Damonís way.

Phyllis: Daniel--

Daniel: No, look. All I want is to live someplace where I feel comfortable. I mean, is that so much to ask? And I was hoping that it could be with you. But if you're not willing to go and find a place for us... then I'll go find a place of my own.

Damon: Now would you like to clarify that last remark?

Diane: Okay. You're a man.

Damon: Mm-hmm.

Diane: And men start to feel the walls closing in when they get to close to a woman. And now you throw a teenage son in the mix and, oh, alarm bells must have been going off like crazy.

Damon: And that is your armchair analysis, is it?

Diane: Well, that has to be the reason that you're kicking Phyllis and her son out of your apartment.

Damon: Actually, no one's being kicked out. If anyone's pushing for this, it's Daniel.

Diane: Oh, that's good. That's good. That way you don't come off like the bad guy. Tell me, Damon, are you in love with Phyllis?

Damon: I feel love for her, yes.

Diane: Oh, "you feel love for her." But you haven't given yourself to her totally and completely, because that would mean opening yourself up, breaking down the barriers. Barriers that you put there in the first place. You hold things back. What, you keep secrets?

Damon: And tell me, exactly how did you arrive at this diagnosis, doctor?

Diane: I can sense it as a woman. And I'd lay money on it that Phyllis can sense it, too.

Damon: Mm-hmm.

Diane: All right, look, you bought me a glass of wine. Can I return the favor?

Damon: Oh, free advice? Please.

Diane: Yeah, from a friend. Okay, in order--in order for a woman to be happy, I mean, I mean, truly happy, we have to feel intimacy. We have to feel connected. And that goes double for a woman like Phyllis, who goes around with her heart pinned to her sleeve. If you don't give yourself to her totally and completely, the way I know she's given herself to you, I guarantee you're going to lose her. Because she won't feel like she's part of your life. And no matter how great the sex is-- I-I don't wanna know-- but it just won't be enough.

Diane: So that's my two cents. Still friends?

Damon: Absolutely. But now I got to go.

Diane: I understand. Thank you for the wine.

Damon: You take care.

Diane: And you, too. Oh, and, Damon, good luck, 'cause you're going to need it.

Lily: So we have breakfast every morning, no matter what because Mom says it's the most important meal of the day or something. Which I'm not sure if that's true or not, but you will quickly learn that it's just easier to go along with what she says. (Laughs) um, now if you want anything from the grocery store, then there's a list that you can write it down on. And, you know, you can't ask for anything outrageous like, you know, I want 100 candy bars or something like that, which I'm sure you know, but, yeah. Um, what else is there?

Devon: Lily, look, I'm not gonna write all this stuff down, okay?

Lily: Okay. I know. Don't worry. You'll figure it out. So is everything okay?

Devon: Yeah, yeah, I guess. I mean, I never lived anyplace like this before, that's for sure, but anyway, I'm not living here. I just-- I'm staying here for awhile.

Lily: Well, what's the difference? Your stuff's in the closet, isn't it? Oh, you know what? I forgot something. I will be right back, okay?

Devon: All right. Sure.

Devon: Yeah, right.

Victor: It wouldn't have killed you to give me a little support.

Nikki: Victor, I do support you, but he's an adult. We can't dictate how he runs his life.

Victor: This is a serious problem. I should be involved, whether he likes it or not.

Nikki: Didn't you hear anything he said?

Victor: Of course I did.

Nikki: I think that we need to respect his wishes. He has a plan. We have to let him try it.

Victor: By the time he's finished trying, it may be too late for his wife. If she ends up in prison because he was too stubborn to accept my help, don't say I didn't warn you.

Ashley: You're being unfair.

Brad: I'm being unfair?

Ashley: Yeah. You're my husband, Brad. Of course I put your feelings first.

Brad: Then why are you even suggesting this? We had an agreement that the best solution was supervised visitation.

Ashley: I know. I know we had an agreement, but I've had some time to think about it, Brad. And do you really think that awkward and tension-filled visits are gonna be what's best for Abby?

Brad: And do you really think that seeing the black knight one-on-one is the best solution?

Ashley: Then help me. You have a better idea?

Brad: How long before she wants to start living at the ranch? How long before she hates her Uncle Jack?

Ashley: You know what? That's not gonna happen.

Brad: You know something? Part of me wants to let you go ahead with this just to see it blow up in your face. But I won't do that because I love Abby too much.

Ashley: I don't have any more solutions, Brad. Do you? Tell me.

Brad: I don't know, Ash. But there is one thing I am certain of. I will do whatever it takes to protect my daughter, even if it means the end of this marriage.

Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Raul: Marsino is the wrong man for you! How the hell can you not see that?

Sharon: I went to see Cameron Kirsten.

Nick: Sharon, what were you thinking?

Brad: You want to do this Victor's way, fine. But don't ask me to be involved.
