Nikki: Oh, God, why is it so cold in here? Oh, my God.

Nikki: Oh, my God! Sharon! Sharon! Sharon, Sharon, Sharon!

Sharon: Mm.

Nikki: Sharon, wake up.

Sharon: (Gasps)

Nikki: Sharon. Okay, all right. Okay, it's okay.

Sharon: Don't touch me.

Nikki: It's okay.

Sharon: No, don't touch me! You're not real!

Nikki: Stop!

Sharon: No, no!

Nikki: Stop, stop, it's me. It's Nikki. It's Nikki. It's Nikki.

Sharon: Oh, than-- oh, thank God, Nikki. Nikki?

Victor: Should we move over there, little more privacy?

Victor: So you want to discuss something personal. What is it?

Ashley: Oh, yes, I do. Um... why don't we just wait until after Newman and Jabot reaches a settlement?

Victor: Wait a minute. You've piqued my curiosity. Does this have anything to do with what happened to you a little while ago?

Ashley: What, you mean when I was out of it?

Victor: I wouldn't quite put it that way.

Ashley: Well, no, it doesnít. Not directly, anyway.

Victor: Mm-hmm. Well, what then? Oh, I bet you want to resign from Jabot, and you want me to hire you at Newman.

Ashley: You wish.

Victor: Would you please tell me what this is about?

Lauren: Right, $100,000. How soon will that money be in the account? That's great. All right, thank you, Richard. (Doorbell rings)

Michael: Hey. So did you get a hold of your accountant?

Lauren: Yes, I just got off the phone with him.

Michael: How'd it go?

Lauren: Fine. The money's being transferred now.

Michael: So then that's it?

Lauren: Yeah. We just have to drop off a check.

Michael: This is so wonderful. Thank you so much. Thank you.

Lauren: You don't have to keep thanking me.

Michael: Oh, yes, I do. It would have taken me days to come up with that money, and God knows no one else offered to post Kevinís bond.

Lauren: I just, you know, hope I'm making the right decision here.

Michael: What, you afraid what Paulís gonna say?

Lauren: No, no, him I can handle.

Michael: What's wrong?

Lauren: Thanks to me, Kevinís gonna be a free man. Tell me I won't regret this.

Nick: No, that's all right, Sherry. Um, I'll tell you what. Why don't you fax all the information to Boston? Tell Robert that we'll conference call in the morning. No, I'll be back for my 2:30. I just wanted to come by the house and check on Sharon. No, she's fine. It's just, uh... (Laughs) that's right. I'm a great husband. Yeah, that's right. Oh, and before I forget, if finance calls, tell them I've decided to retire those 9% notes. We can do better and probably should before rates go up again. Yep. That'll do it for now. I'll see you in a little bit. Sharon? Sharon? Babe, are you here?

Nikki: Let me... can you go down the stairs?

Sharon: Okay.

Nikki: Okay.

Sharon: I think so. Okay.

Nikki: There you go. Good.

Sharon: Oh, God.

Nikki: All right. You're fine. You're okay.

Sharon: Oh, God.

Nikki: We'll just go to the sofa, all right?

Sharon: Okay. (Moans)

Nikki: Okay now. Almost there.

Nikki: All right, can you sit down?

Sharon: I got it.

Nikki: Careful.

Sharon: Ohh. Oh.

Nikki: My God, what happened?

Sharon: Oh, I don't know. I don't know. I'm not sure.

Nikki: You don't know? Were you... did you slip on something, what?

Sharon: I-I might have. I think so.

Nikki: I'm calling 9-1-1.

Sharon: No, no. Nikki, Nikki, donít.

Nikki: Look, Sharon, you're bleeding. You're bleeding. Look at you.

Sharon: Ohh. I'll be okay.

Nikki: You're not okay. You're not okay. You fell through the atrium glass.

Sharon: I'll be fine.

Nikki: Do you understand me?

Sharon: I'll be fine. Ohh.

Nikki: Don't! Don't touch it. There could be glass in there. Don't touch it.

Sharon: Oh, God.

Nikki: You can hardly stand up. Don't be stubborn.

Sharon: Nikki...

Nikki: You're hurt. This is what emergency rooms are for.

Sharon: I'm fine, okay?

Nikki: You're not fine. I'm getting my purse. Just stay right there. I'm getting my keys. We'll go to Memorial right now. You could need stitches. Okay, you need to wait a second?

Sharon: God, Nikki, your beautiful atrium... I'm so sorry.

Nikki: Oh, God, forget about that. That can be replaced. I want to know what happened.

Sharon: Oh, I told you. I, uh, I don't know. I-I must have slipped or something.

Nikki: D-did something startle you, or what happened?

Sharon: God, it all happened so fast. I... one minute I was in the atrium and the next I... I don't know, I fell through the glass.

Nikki: What did you mean when you said, "you're not real"?

Sharon: I said that?

Nikki: Uh-huh.

Sharon: I-I have no idea. I-I must have been in shock.

Nikki: Okay, look, we're lucky. It could have been a lot worse. Okay, let's go. Let's not hang around. Come on.

Sharon: Nikki, I, uh...

Nikki: Yeah

Sharon: Really, I just wanna go home, okay?

Nikki: No, no, no, you're coming with me to Memorial. It's no problem. Let's go.

Sharon: I'm all right, though. I really am.

Nikki: Sharon, we're gonna let a doctor decide that, okay? Just keep walking. You can do it, okay? You all right?

Nikki: All right, don't worry about that. It's fine. Come on.

Michael: Lauren, I'm not sure what you'd like me to say.

Lauren: I want your word that you're gonna keep a close eye on your brother, that he is not gonna do something stupid to himself or someone else, because if that happens, I will not be able to forgive myself. Can you promise me that that won't happen?

Michael: I will do what I can. He'll be living with me. That ought to help, you know.

Lauren: Are you having second thoughts about that?

Michael: Too late now. He'll be happy to see us, though.

Lauren: Look, I'm sorry the transfer is taking so long. My accountant's on the west coast, and with the time difference, it was hard to get in touch with him.

Michael: All right, well, don't worry about that, Lauren. The important thing is he won't have to spend another night in lockup. One was bad enough.

Lauren: Was it really that awful?

Michael: Uh, he's a bit claustrophobic. He was never crazy about small spaces. And some of the guys in lockup gave him a really hard time, yeah.

Lauren: What happened?

Michael: Um, they found out about Lily Winters. There's a certain social order in prison. Child molesters are pretty much as low as you can get.

Lauren: But he was never convicted.

Michael: Well, that's an insignificant detail.

Lauren: So what happens if...

Michael: He goes to prison? Well, I'm trying not to think about that. When I was at Walworth, uh, kids like him came in all the time, basically defenseless. You--you put someone like that with a hard core criminal who's twice his size... hey, you know, they basically don't stand a chance.

Lauren: We should go.

Michael: Lauren, wait. What is it you're going to say to Paul?

Lauren: I haven't decided.

Michael: Wait. Um, I want to thank you for helping my brother.

Michael: Kevin has a very good friend in you, and, uh, so do I.

Lauren: Okay.

Paul: Whoa. Hi. I thought you were gonna be at the boutique all day.

Michael: Hello, Paul.

Paul: (Sighs)

Damon: Will you look at the time?

Phyllis: Oh, I don't wanna know!

Damon: Oh, I cannot believe we slept so late.

Phyllis: We were tired. We were tuckered out.

Damon: (Laughs) oh, well, I donít... I don't suppose it matters so much anyway. My project's canceled, right?

Phyllis: Oh.

Damon: What's the point being the first fella to work?

Phyllis: Yeah, I know. I'm in no hurry.

Damon: You never told me why yesterday was such the day from hell.

Phyllis: No.

Damon: What happened?

Phyllis: I don't wanna relive it.

Damon: You don't have to.

Phyllis: Okay, well, um, I had a meeting with, you know, Nicholas Newman, self-anointed boy genius. You know, it's like he was born on third base and thinks he hit a triple.

Damon: Do I detect a note of resentment?

Phyllis: Oh, really, do you? Do you have a baseball bat?

Ashley: Why don't we just tackle one issue at a time?

Victor: Uh-huh.

Ashley: Get things handled on the business front, and then we can delve into other matters.

Victor: Why do you suddenly sound so formal?

Ashley: Because you won't take no for an answer.

Victor: You just told me you had something personal to--to convey to me. Why would I not be curious? Does this have to do with your marriage, or what?

Ashley: No. My marriage is solid. I shouldn't have said anything. The only reason I told you I wanted to talk to you was to make sure you clear your calendar when the time is right.

Victor: Uh-huh. And when the time is right, where do we meet?

Ashley: Anywhere...

Victor: Mm-hmm.

Ashley: That we can speak and not be disturbed. You know, I gotta set up that board meeting for this afternoon.

Victor: Right. This is ever more becoming a huge mystery. You have a nice day.

Ashley: Okay. I'll let you know what time it is.

Victor: Mm-hmm.

Nikki: How is she?

Olivia: Don't worry, Nikki. She's gonna be just fine. The nurse is putting a few bandages on her cuts right now.

Nikki: Did she need stitches?

Olivia: No, fortunately, all her wounds were minor. She should heal quickly.

Nikki: Oh, I cannot tell you how scared I was when I found her like that. I mean, there's blood everywhere.

Olivia: Well, she's very lucky that no major arteries or veins were sliced.

Nikki: Olivia, there was jagged glass. It could have been so much worse.

Olivia: There is something I'd like to ask you, though.

Nikki: What?

Olivia: Were you aware that Sharonís been taking sedatives?

Nikki: She has?

Olivia: The E.R. Doctor sent down a sample of her blood to the lab. He noticed that she was acting a little groggy when she was admitted.

Nikki: And what did he find?

Olivia: There's a fairly large amount of diazepam in her system.

Nikki: Really?

Olivia: I mean, its fine as a tranquilizer in small doses. But taken to excess, it can impair the senses.

Nikki: I had no idea she was taking these.

Olivia: Well, I'll discuss it with her later. In the meantime, I want you to make sure she gets some rest.

Nikki: Oh, yes, she will. She will. Thank you so much. Thank you.

Ashley: Yeah. Once we settle on a time, why don't you go ahead and book the boardroom and let Mr. Newman know? Okay, thanks. I'll see you soon.

Ashley: Where'd you come from?

Jack: Well, I saw you on your cell phone. I didn't want to interrupt. But now that you're through--

Ashley: I'm sorry. Can't stay.

Jack: Oh, rushing off somewhere, or are you just over socialized?

Ashley: Excuse me?

Jack: Well, I couldn't help but notice you sitting with Victor here, criminal waste of time that that is.

Ashley: Lovely chatting with you.

Jack: Slow down.

Ashley: I gotta get to work, Jack.

Jack: What are you doing with Victor? What are you talking about?

Ashley: A few things that don't concern you and one that does.

Jack: Gee, I got goose bumps.

Ashley: Do you want to hear it from me, or do you want to get the call from my secretary?

Jack: A call about what?

Ashley: I'm setting up a board meeting for this afternoon with Victor.

Lauren: Paul, what are you doing here?

Paul: Give me a second; I'll come up with something. I live here.

Lauren: Well, what happened to your meeting?

Paul: I wrapped it up early, and I stopped by here to pick up a file I left on my desk. Would you mind telling me what's going on here?

Michael: I was just on my way out.

Paul: Looks like you both were.

Lauren: Do you mind if I have a moment alone with him?

Paul: Oh, no, sure.

Lauren: Michael, I'm sorry.

Michael: It's okay. I understand. You need to stay.

Lauren: Uh, okay, as soon as I can, I'll go down to the county clerk's office.

Michael: Yeah, please, let me know when you leave.

Lauren: I will. I'll call you.

Michael: All right.

Lauren: Bye.

Paul: Okay, maybe now you can tell me what's going on.

Lauren: Why don't we sit down?

Paul: Why?

Lauren: Because I have something to tell you, and you're not gonna like it.

(Knock on door)

Nick: Sharon, did you forget your keys again? I told you to take it easy on those... sedatives.

Victor: I saw your car outside.

Nick: Yeah, I just came home to check on Sharon.

Victor: May I come in?

Victor: Your wife all right?

Nick: Yeah. She's not here right now. I mean, her car is. She must be out on a walk or up at the main house or something.

Victor: But she's all right?

Nick: Yeah, why do you ask?

Victor: Your mother seems very concerned that Sharon seems very troubled about something.

Nick: You know, Mom has been great. She's really been there for Sharon.

Victor: Well, I'm concerned about her as well. I hope that doesn't bother you.

Nick: Why would that bother me?

Jack: Then your skullduggery is now complete.

Ashley: The decision was made to have this meeting as soon as Victor was available, so that we can settle this matter sooner rather than later.

Jack: Why not have him write you a check for $75 million and leave it at that?

Ashley: Is that a serious question?

Jack: Hey, it would save you a lot of hassle, save you from being in the room with the man, seeing the gleam in his beady little eyes when he realizes my decision got shot down.

Ashley: That's what you get for running around making unilateral decisions.

Jack: And you, on the other hand, have become quite the little consensus-builder.

Ashley: Are we finished with this conversation?

Jack: This isn't just about aggravation. This is about humiliation, Ash. I told that guy where to stick his offer, and you and dad are going back to him now? You realize how that makes me look? I have to do business with that man.

Ashley: So skip the meeting, Jack. We'll have a quorum without you.

Jack: You know that's not an option.

Ashley: Well, then join us, and we'll have a consensus.

Jack: Do you have any idea what a betrayal this is?

Ashley: Get over yourself, Jack.

Jack: He wins, I lose.

Ashley: Keep your voice down.

Ashley: Victor hardly wins, Jack. He has to pay us a huge amount in damages.

Jack: A huge amount? To Victor that's carfare. That's a gift.

Ashley: I am so bored with this conversation now.

Jack: Okay, so tell me what else the two of you were talking about.

Paul: I'm pretty sure I know what you're gonna say.

Lauren: I doubt that.

Paul: It's about Kevin Fisher, isn't it? He's out on bail.

Lauren: No, not yet.

Paul: Oh, really? I thought Baldwin would have sprung him by now.

Lauren: The judge set bail at $1 million.

Paul: Did you just say a million dollars?

Lauren: Chris wanted 2, but Michael as able to get the judge to come down.

Paul: Well, well, well, but I was right, wasn't I? Baldwin did end up representing that little maggot.

Lauren: Well, do you honestly believe that he would leave his little brother's fate to someone else?

Paul: Well, sounds like he might as well have. I mean, man, a million bucks? It's gonna take Baldwin awhile to come up with 10% of that.

Lauren: He said it would take him a couple of days.

Paul: You know something? If he were smart, he would leave his little brother exactly where he is.

Lauren: He doesn't think that Kevin will be able to make it through another night in lockup.

Paul: Oh, come on, Lauren, give me a break. Fisher's gonna be fine.

Lauren: This has been hell for him.

Paul: That's kind of the idea, isn't it? So what did Baldwin do? Come over here to tell you some sob story about his brother?

Lauren: Michael didn't have to say anything. I saw Kevin with my own eyes.

Paul: What do you mean?

Lauren: I went to the bail hearing.

Nikki: What's going on here? Oh, Chuck, thank you so much for cleaning this up.

Chuck: No problem.

Nikki: There we go.

Chuck: Mrs. Newman, it's all boarded up for now. I called the glass company. They'll be out later today to replace the panes.

Nikki: Wonderful, thanks.

Chuck: You're welcome.

Nikki: Okay, Sharon, I want to know exactly what happened.

Damon: Baseball bat?

Phyllis: Mm-hmm.

Damon: Wait a minute, are you... you wouldn't be suggesting that I pay a visit to our young master Newman and extract a painful revenge for the outrage he has purported to have perpetrated upon your precious person?

Phyllis: Oh, my, I couldn't have said it better myself. Yeah, go kick his butt!

Damon: Well, you got the wrong guy. I ain't a violent fella.

Phyllis: Oh, come on. It's so easy for you. You're big. You're a big man. You know, us little guys, we have to go in and fight. You just walk into the room, say, "boo," and everybody runs.

Damon: Oh, really?

Phyllis: Yeah.

Damon: It's not quite that simple.

Phyllis: Well, I'm kidding anyway. So I figured I could go to Newman Enterprises and based on my stellar performance, I would get my job back. You know, because I was the one who put Brash & Sassy on the internet map.

Damon: So why let them do this to you? Someone else is gonna snap you up, and it'll be Newmanís loss.

Phyllis: Yeah, yeah, that's right. Well, and then after I was told that I'm not the kind of person that they like to hire at Newman Enterprises, I went to Genoa City Athletic Club and ran into Christine and Danny, and that's always just so pleasant.

Damon: Your son. Is he still determined not to see you when he comes into town?

Phyllis: Apparently but, see, the kicker is that when he comes into town, he's gonna be staying with Christine. So if that doesn't add insult to injury, I really don't know what does.

Damon: Only if you let it.

Phyllis: Mm, right. Listen, you're very sweet, but this is not something that I can just-- what is that word-- "om" away. You know, this is... this is... this hurts.

Nick: I'll tell you what, Dad, let's not get into any unpleasantness, all right? I've got the Sharon situation under control.  Mom's been a big help.

Victor: I'm glad to hear that. Let me know if you need my help, all right?

Nick: I'll do that.

Victor: See you around.

Nick: We haven't seen each other in awhile. What's been going on with you?

Victor: Now that the judge has ruled that I don't have to go to prison, I guess you could say that I feel relieved.

Nick: Just probation and community service, huh?

Victor: That's right, son, just probation and community service.

Victor: But I've been thinking a lot about community service, and I've decided to use my considerable experience in lots of areas of life in some new and challenging ways. It should be interesting.

Nick: Care to be more specific?

Ashley: What are you talking about?

Jack: Well, you and Newman were chewing the fat for quite a time there. It doesn't take that long to invite a guy to a meeting. What else was going on?

Ashley: Were you spying on me?

Jack: Obviously somebody has to.

Ashley: If we weren't in a public place right now, I would slug you, Jack.

Jack: Go ahead, knock my head off. Answer my question first. You two seemed pretty intense.

Ashley: Oh, we did not.

Jack: You gonna answer my question, or are you gonna let me jump to my own conclusions?

Ashley: When you get in this kind of a mood, there's no talking to you.

Jack: Then it was personal. God, Ash, for Peteís sake!

Ashley: You really have to know, Jack? You really have to know?

Jack: Yeah, what?

Ashley: Yeah, it was personal. I told Victor that once we settle this issue with business, I want to talk to him about something very important.

Jack: And what might that be?

Ashley: Well, the only important and personal issue I have with Victor at the moment-- his daughter Abby.

Paul: You went to Kevinís bail hearing?

Lauren: Yes.

Paul: I don't believe this.

Lauren: I had to be there.

Paul: Oh, you know, that is exactly why I didn't want to tell you he'd been arrested.

Lauren: No, I had to see it for myself, see how unfairly he's being treated.

Paul: Unfairly?

Lauren: He hasn't been convicted of anything. There hasn't been a court case and a sentencing, and yet they are treating him like an animal in a cage. This is not my idea of innocent until proven guilty.

Paul: You know what? You commit a crime, you get arrested. That's how it works. And if you can't post bail, then you have to sit there and think about what you've done.

Lauren: Well, it's a lousy system.

Paul: Well, next time I see the governor, I will pass that along.

Lauren: I can't believe you're being so cavalier about this.

Paul: What do you want me to say, Lauren? That I'm sorry that Kevinís in this situation? First of all, I'm not sorry. And second of all, even if I were, there's nothing I can do to change things. Neither can you.

Lauren: That's where you're wrong. There is something I can do.

Paul: Such as?

Lauren: Such as I can post bail for him.

Paul: What?

Lauren: You heard me.

Paul: That's $100,000.

Lauren: Yes, my accountant is transferring the funds into my checking account as we speak.

Paul: So Baldwin put you up to this? That's why he came over here.

Lauren: No, no, I made this decision at the courthouse, and as soon as I leave here, I'm going to the county clerk's office, and I'm having Kevin released.

Paul: Would you mind telling me why Kevin Fisher is so important to you?

Lauren: You just... you don't understand where I'm coming from.

Paul: No, you're right. I don't get you at all right now. I mean, you're a bright, sophisticated woman. I can't believe you're buying in to Kevinís act.

Lauren: What act?

Paul: This whole sympathy thing. He's got you believing he's the product of a rotten childhood. You know, I don't doubt that for a second, but that does not give him the right to do these terrible things to people.

Lauren: I'm not saying that he shouldn't pay for his crimes if he's guilty.

Paul: Oh, if, if? Would you listen to yourself?

Lauren: No. You know what? I can't talk about this anymore.

Paul: Don't do this, Lauren.

Lauren: And what if I do?

Paul: Then you had better be prepared to pay the consequences.

Nikki: Sharon, I asked you a question. What went on here?

Sharon: I don't know what you mean.

Nikki: Dr. Withers told me about the sedatives.

Sharon: Great, the blood test.

Nikki: Yeah, she said there were a lot of tranquilizers in your system.

Sharon: Nikki, I can explain that, all right? That was a prescription given to me by our family doctor. I have been really nervous lately, as I'm sure you're aware.

Nikki: Does Nicholas know about this?

Sharon: Yes, and he understands that I need them right now.

Nikki: Does he realize that you're abusing them?

Sharon: I am not.

Nikki: Now I know why you've been acting so dopey and out of it. It's probably because of the sedatives that you slipped and fell.

Sharon: Okay, okay, so I took a few too many pills. But, Nikki, surely you can understand more than anyone why I haven't been myself lately.

Nikki: Yes, yes, I know. Cameron Kirsten, I know!

Sharon: But there's something else.

Nikki: What?

Sharon: Something that I didn't want to tell you, because I was afraid that you would think I'm losing it.

Nikki: Sharon, will you just please tell me everything? Just tell me!

Sharon: I've been seeing things.

Nikki: What things?

Sharon: Cameron.

Nikki: What do you mean? You mean, like hallucinations?

Sharon: When I came in here, I thought I saw him.

Nikki: Look, if this is some kind of a joke...

Sharon: No, that's the last thing it is a joke! And he started chasing me around the room.

Nikki: So you were running away from him, and you slipped, and you fell through the window. Is that what happened?

Sharon: I was so terrified. Cameron--he just, he seems so real to me.

Nikki: Sharon, he's not real. He's dead!

Sharon: I know that, but...

Nikki: Okay, because he wasn't in the trunk of your car that night, now you're starting to worry that he's not dead?

Sharon: No, I mean, that's ridiculous!

Nikki: Are you absolutely sure?

Sharon: Yes, of course I'm sure he's dead. He was buried under the snow for weeks. And besides that, Larry said that he...

Nikki: Larry, what? Larry Warton?

Sharon: Nikki, I shouldn't be talking about this.

Nikki: About what? You just said it. You just said something about Larry. What is it? What does he have to do with Cameron Kirstenís death?

Sharon: Nothing, nothing. Promise .... promise me that you won't say anything.

Nikki: Well, I haven't said anything yet, have I?

Sharon: Larry was there. He was there that night at the bar, the night that Cameronís body disappeared.

Damon: No, baby, you got it all wrong. I'm not about being so mellow that nothing bothers me. I can't "om" things away any better than you can.

Phyllis: Mm, you just seem unflappable.

Damon: Well, I'm not. I get angry just like the next guy. The trouble is, angry never accomplished nothing.

Phyllis: Yeah? Really? Okay, so what do we do?

Damon: We visualize the positive, because the positive doesn't make us angry. Feel me on this.

Phyllis: All right.

Damon: We visualize Nicholas Newman realizing that you are the only person out there who can really do justice to the company, and he comes crawling on back offering to double your salary.

Phyllis: Wow, really? Okay, that's all right.

Damon: All right, and check this, check this. As for your Swiss boarding school son who thinks he can get along fine without you, imagine, after breathing some of the air in the good ol' U.S.A., One day it just dawns on him, "I got a mom. I'd better treat her good, because she's the only one I got."

Phyllis: Oh, yeah? Okay, what, do I close my eyes and thatís it? Okay, I'm visualizing. I'm visualizing. Where are you? I can visualize that. You're good. You're good for me.

Damon: I didn't do nothing.

Phyllis: Yeah.

Victor: I don't mean to be mysterious, but I'm not ready to talk about the details of my community service plan, all right?

Nick: All right, I won't ask again.

Victor: Anything at work going on that I need to know about?

Nick: A lot going on, but it's all under control.

Victor: By the way, on the way over here I realized that some callable notes are due, right?

Nick: I already took care of it. I called them in.

Victor: You really called them in? Don't you think it's better to wait awhile?

Nick: We can get better rates with new notes.

Victor: What about the expense of issuing them?

Nick: I thought about that, but it's better for us this way.

Victor: All right, see you around.

Nick: You know, Phyllis came to see me. And she's got a lot of nerve, that woman, but it didn't do her any good.

Jack: What?

Ashley: Shh, not here!

Jack: You're going to tell Victor about Abby? No, no!

Ashley: It's my decision.

Jack: Why? Why would you open that up now? What possible good could come of that?

Ashley: I can't keep it a secret any longer, Jack. You saw what it was doing to me.

Jack: What is was... you're saying the episode you just went through was caused by Victor not knowing the maternity of your child?

Ashley: Absolutely. I did a lot of soul-searching it was utterly agonizing, but I finally realized what it was that was causing me so much pain.

Jack: It was losing Brad's child, Ash, and Victor caused that.

Ashley: Shh! Just... why do I even bother? You're not gonna listen. Youíre not even gonna try to understand.

Jack: I can't, Ash. Why would you open this up after all these years?

Ashley: I'm done, I'm done. I'm done! I shouldn't have mentioned it. I am going to tell Victor that he is Abbyís biological father, and nothing and no one will stop me.

Lauren: What are you talking about? What consequences?

Paul: How do you think Kevinís gonna react when he finds out you posted his bail?

Lauren: I think he'll be grateful.

Paul: You're damn right he'll be grateful. He'll want to pay you back, and I'm not talking about money.

Lauren: He doesn't owe me anything.

Paul: He's in love with you, Lauren.

Lauren: He was when he thought that I felt the same way, too.

Paul: Oh, so you think he can just turn off those feelings? Kevin is mentally unstable. If you do this, he's going to think you really care about him.

Lauren: I do care.

Paul: Lauren, I mean romantically. In Kevinís twisted mind, he's going to see this as a signal. It's what he's been waiting for. Some night he will show up at the boutique when you are there alone, and he will show you how grateful he is.

Lauren: You know what? Just stop it! Kevin would never hurt me.

Paul: You sure about that?

Lauren: I'm going.

Paul: No, no, I want you to stay here, and I want you to think long and hard before you do this.  I'm going.

Victor: Why did Phyllis come to see you?

Nick: She actually wanted to get her old job back.

Victor: And?

Nick: I told her to beat it.

Victor: What do you mean you told her to beat it? You don't think we need her expertise as a web designer?

Nick: No, we donít. Phyllis is a traitor, pure and simple. There are a thousand web designers out there looking for work, and we can find someone we can trust. Phyllis isn't that person.

Victor: She's not the traitor, son, and you have seriously overstepped your boundaries.

Nick: Now just calm down. I will find someone.

Victor: Don't you tell me to calm down. Ever since you assumed the temporary stewardship of my company, you've let it get to your head, and that's gonna stop right now.

Nikki: So you're telling me that Larry took Cameronís body out of the trunk of your car that night?

Sharon: Larry knew that I was in trouble, and he was just trying to help.

Nikki: And you have no idea what he did with it?

Sharon: He said he thought it would be better off if I didn't know.

Nikki: And you just now found out about this?

Sharon: Well, I told you he had been in a motorcycle accident. He was in the hospital for awhile, and he only recently came to me.

Nikki: Oh, my God. Oh, this is getting more and more bizarre.

Sharon: So you see, Cameron has to be dead. But these visions that I've been having-- it's like he's right there in the room, like I can reach out and touch him.

Nikki: Oh, Sharon, I don't know. I think you could have been right before. Maybe you are losing it. I don't know.

Sharon: Oh, God. Well, there's only one way that I can be sure.

Nikki: How?

Sharon: I have to see that body, Nikki. I have to see for myself that Cameron is dead.
