Olivia: Come on.
Ashley: You call, I come running.
Olivia: Well, you seem up today.
Ashley: I am. For the first time in months, I woke up and I ate a big breakfast.
Olivia: No problems?
Ashley: None. Ever since I've finished my chemo, I've been feeling better every day. I think the worst is behind me. Okay. What's wrong?
Olivia: I really need to talk to you. There's something I've done and you're not gonna like it. But, please, sit down.
Ashley: You're scaring me. What did you do?
Olivia: You know that tape you gave me?
Ashley: Don't tell me you lost it.
Olivia: No. I watched it.
Ashley: You what?
Olivia: I know, Ashley, I know your secret. I know that Victor Newman is Abby's biological father.
Dennis: You'll keep me informed about the holiday item.
Jack: You'll be the first to know, Dennis.
Dennis: The more lead time we know the sooner we can budget the advertising.
Jack: I'll have something on your desk by the first of the month.
Dennis: Good enough. Gentlemen, pleasure.
Jack: Thank you, Dennis.
Dennis: Thanks for breakfast.
Brad: I'd say that went well.
Jack: Yeah, thanks to you. You posed a few difficult questions.
Brad: If you say so.
Jack: No time to be modest. You did a terrific job.
Isabella: Sounds good. I'll be by at about noon. Okay. Thanks. Well, all is well.
Paul: Ricky's okay?
Isabella: Yeah, it sounds like it. I was really worried about him staying overnight at his aunt's, but she said he was a perfect angel.
Paul: Kind of fun, huh, nobody knowing where we are.
Isabella: No one except room service. You know, I can't remember the last time we spent 12 hours with no phone calls.
Paul: Well, I knew that Lynne could handle any business that would come up.
Isabella: And you didn't tell your mother.
Paul: I didn't feel like I needed to.
Isabella: Still, I'm terribly grateful.
Paul: Now, now.
Isabella: I know. I gave you my word I will make an effort with her and I will.
Isabella: No, thank you, for last night.
Paul: Hey. It was my pleasure.
Isabella: No, it was my pleasure. Oh, I think we should argue about it.
Paul: Only if it means still more of the same.
J.T.: Rumors are true.
Brittany: What rumors?
J.T.: That you're still in town. Why aren't you at college?
Brittany: Well, it's certainly not by choice. Stupid judge keeps delaying my hearing so I'm stuck here.
J.T.: At least you can sleep late.
Brittany: No, I can't. I called the shelter this morning; I'll probably be doing community service.
Brittany: My parents and my lawyer think it will look good for the judge.
J.T.: Wow. Genoa City's princess administering to the destitute and homeless. What's wrong with that picture?
Brittany: I don't think it will be all that bad. Billy and Mac actually enjoyed it.
J.T.: It sounds pretty miserable to me.
Brittany: That's because you're shallow.
J.T.: And you're not? Is that why you look so happy? You find this higher calling?
Brittany: No. But my personal life sure is looking up.
J.T.: Don't tell me you and Raul kissed and made up.
Brittany: What's it to you?
J.T.: Nothing. I just don't want to lose my breakfast, that's all.
Brittany: Don't talk to me about relationships. What's this about Colleen and you actually going out on a date? And don't deny it. My sources are very reliable.
Colleen: Good morning, Granddad.
John: Good morning, Colleen. Don't you look nice.
Colleen: So do you.
John: Will you be joining me for breakfast?
Colleen: I don't think so. I'll just grab some toast and juice.
John: Honey, why don't you sit down a moment, I want to talk to you.
Colleen: Well, I really need to get to school. Can we talk about this later tonight?
John: Sounds like you have a busy day.
Colleen: Yeah, I do, and after school I'm meeting some friends at the coffee house. But don't worry, I'll be home in time for homework.
John: Well, I think you'll be home long before that because you won't be going to the coffee house. You'll be coming straight home.
Colleen: I've already made arrangements.
John: You'll have to unmake them because as of this morning, you're grounded.
Paul: Sorry, sweetheart, with dawn comes reality.
Isabella: Spoil sport.
Paul: Well, you know what they say; all good things must come to an end.
Isabella: Um-hum. I suppose. I'm going to pick up Ricky and then go home. Are you going to head straight to the office?
Isabella: Something tells me you're going to have messages.
Paul: That's odd. Five, all from Lynne.
Isabella: Well, see, aren't you glad you left that thing turned off? Lynne.
Paul: Very glad.
Isabella: Don't forget the promise you made to me. I get you all to myself.
Paul: Oh, yeah?
Paul: That's a deal.
Isabella: Have a good day, darling.
Paul: Give that boy a squeeze.
Isabella: I will.
Michael: Sergeant, this is Michael Baldwin, I'm an attorney.
Sergeant: Yes, sir.
Michael: Mary Williams and Lynne Basset were brought in there last night.
Sergeant: Breaking and entering your office, right?
Michael: Yes. I'd like to drop the charges.
Sergeant: Are you sure, Mr. Baldwin?
Michael: I'm positive. I take it they've been released by now?
Sergeant: I don't see their names on the custody list. Guess someone posted bail.
Michael: As I thought. Well, thank you very much for your help.
Michael: Hey. Welcome home. That was quick.
Christine: Well, early-morning breakfast meeting; caught the first flight home.
Michael: So, how did it go?
Christine: No problems, although I could have phoned it in.
Michael: Didn't put up a fight?
Christine: Total stipulation, check's in the mail.
Michael: Bravo, bravo, bravo.
Christine: Thank you. So what's new around here?
Michael: Nothing. I guess I missed you a little.
Christine: I bet I can guess what's on your mind.
Michael: I didn't say a word.
Christine: I know. I thank you for not pushing. I certainly haven't forgotten about your proposal. I just don't have an answer for you quite yet.
Michael: I'm not going anywhere.
Christine: I appreciate you being patient.
Michael: Oh, by the way, we had a little excitement here last night. Why don't you sit down, I'll tell you all about it.
Colleen: Grounded? How grounded?
John: Totally. You go to school and you come home. Now if there's anything about that that's not clear, let's discuss it now because I do not want any misunderstandings.
Colleen: Granddad, this whole thing is just a misunderstanding.
John: No, I don't think so.
Colleen: This is not fair.
John: You deceived me. You not only lied, you planned to lie.
Colleen: Well, what do you expect when you tell me who I can hang out with? You know, I am too old for you to be picking my friends for me.
John: Well, if you think that's the case, you just try not coming home from school today and we will find out who's in charge.
Colleen: So, how long am I grounded?
John: That depends on a number of things.
Colleen: In other words, I might get time off for good behavior?
John: You can put it any way you would like, but I do not think it's any mystery what I expect of you.
Colleen: So now I suppose here comes the part where you say, this hurts me more than it hurts you?
John: No. You've hurt us both. And you're going to have to learn that lying is not the way you get what you want.
Colleen: No, this is about what you want.
John: If you're talking about you and J.T. and your dishonesty, you're right.
Colleen: Granddad, please.
John: No, no. I've given this a great deal of thought and I've made up my mind. Now you accept it.
PA: Dr. Walter Norris. Please report to oncology.
Paul: Excuse me. I need some information. Lynne? How's my mom?
Lynne: She's fine. Paul, she's still resting. There's been no change.
Paul: So tell me what happened?
Lynne: Your mom collapsed.
Paul: Oh, God.
Lynne: She had a really rough night but they gave her something to help her sleep.
Paul: So, where is she? Can I see her?
Lynne: They don't want her disturbed right now. But the good news is she's probably going to go home today.
Paul: All right. Were you with her when she collapsed?
Lynne: Yes. It all started when we decided to let ourselves into Michael Baldwin's office.
Paul: Let yourselves in, meaning what?
Lynne: I picked the lock.
Paul: You broke into the man's office, why?
Lynne: Paul, your mom I and --
Paul: Oh, wait. I don't want to hear this.
Lynne: I'm sorry for my part in this and if you want to fire me --
Paul: No, I don't want to fire you. So you and my mother were in Baldwin's office and she got nervous and collapsed?
Lynne: No. That came later, after --
Paul: After what? Damn it, Lynne, tell me, I want to know what happened.
Brad: Rare moment, Jack, getting a compliment from you.
Jack: I have never been slow to give praise when it is due.
Brad: Well, thank you. You almost sound like you mean that.
Jack: I do mean that. I have been impressed. I know the personal pressure you've been under.
Brad: You've been talking to Ash?
Jack: I talk to my sister almost every day.
Brad: Then you know that she's feeling a lot better.
Jack: I know that she has the chemotherapy behind her. That must make you terribly happy knowing you're on the other side of that.
Brad: It does. But --
Jack: But what?
Brad: Why do I get the feeling there's something more on your mind than simply praising me for a job well done, Jack?
Ashley: Olivia, why did you do that?
Olivia: I didn't do it out of curiosity.
Ashley: I don't care what your reasons are. I trust you.
Olivia: I was hoping to get some answers on that tape.
Ashley: Answers about what?
Olivia: Brad's been upset lately and the two of you haven't been communicating.
Ashley: What on that videotape is going to solve that?
Olivia: It was a shot in the dark.
Ashley: Yeah, and you missed, big time.
Olivia: You know what, Ash, I had the best of intentions.
Ashley: If I had wanted you to watch that videotape, I would have told you.
Olivia: The point is, I have.
Ashley: And what?
Olivia: Victor Newman, Victor Newman is Abby's father. My God, in a million years I would have n never guessed that!
Ashley: Just give me a second, okay, please, a second. What's done is done. We've been through so much together and you have been there for me time after time. So I'm willing to try to pretend this never happened.
Olivia: How are we going to do that?
Ashley: By never discussing it again.
Olivia: Honey, we have to discuss this.
Ashley: No, we don't, Liv. Now, would you please give me my videotape, obviously you're the wrong person to keep my secret.
Olivia: Not until you answer me one question.
Olivia: How the hell could you have kept this from your husband?
J.T.: Who are these reliable sources?
Brittany: Why? Is it true?
J.T.: What do you care?
Brittany: Well, everybody's asking me about it. I don't know what to tell them.
J.T.: Tell them to stay out of my business.
Brittany: Come on, J.T., Talk to me.
J.T.: And feed you gossip, no, I'm smarter than that.
Brittany: Fine. Don't tell me. It's not like I don't know what's behind this so-called interesting Colleen. A chance to stick it to Billy.
J.T.: Billy's in Louisiana.
Brittany: So? You know he'll find out about it. You can't resist getting one more shot in by seducing Billy's niece.
J.T.: Come on, she's a kid. You're so far off base.
Brittany: If it's not about revenge, then what?
J.T.: I'm tired of having to tell people. The girl and me, we're friends. All right? I know it sounds weird to you, Brittany, but I like the kid.
Brittany: You expect me to believe that is innocence?
J.T.: I really don't care what you believe, but I'd appreciate it if you don't spread things around.
Brittany: I'm the least of your worries.
J.T.: Meaning what?
Brittany: If the Abbots get wind of this, you're toast.
J.T.: They already have. They've dealt with it, I hope.
Brittany: You hope is right. Oh, well, it's your funeral.
John: Mr. Hellstrom, I would like a word with you.
J.T.: Mr. Abbott.
John: I understand you went to a concert with my grandfather.
J.T.: Yes, sir, but I can explain.
John: A concert she was supposed to go with Caitlin.
J.T.: I guess Caitlin didn't like the band much.
John: Even though I forbid her to associate with you.
J.T.: Colleen and I are just friends.
John: Look, you may be able to sell Mrs. Abbott, but you will not sell me.
J.T.: I hope you're not too upset with Colleen.
John: Oh, I'm very upset with Colleen. As a matter of fact, this morning I told her she's grounded.
J.T.: For how long?
John: That does not concern you because you will go nowhere near her.
J.T.: This all because of a lousy concert we went to together?
John: No, no, I think this is just the tip of the iceberg.
J.T.: Okay. So we hang out now and then. Sometimes she helps me with my homework. What's the big deal?
John: Now listen to me, my granddaughter is a 15-year-old girl, and the last thing she needs is to be involved with a young man like you.
Olivia: I can't believe you wouldn't have told Brad.
Ashley: There's no reason for him to know.
Olivia: How can you say that?
Ashley: He loves Abby as if she were his own flesh and blood. And she loves him.
Ashley: I did what I thought was best for my family and I still believe that.
Olivia: You can't wrap up this so neatly.
Ashley: Actually, I was doing fine until you betrayed me.
Olivia: So you and Victor go off on a cruise and you have an affair and you come back pregnant?
Ashley: You think you got the whole thing figured out?
Olivia: Even if you didn't tell Victor directly, he's no fool, the man has done the math, he must know that Abby is his daughter. No. How can you think this is the best for Brad? What if it just pops into Victor's mind to reveal your little secret?
Ashley: I'm not worried.
Olivia: You're not worried? What if he decides to fight for custody?
Ashley: He won't.
Olivia: How do you know that? Don't you see, you've created this wonderful world for your husband, one that could blow up in his face?
Ashley: Olivia, you don't know what you're talking about.
Olivia: Ash, wake up. You're setting Brad up in the cruelest way. He deserves better than that.
Ashley: You know what, I really resent you putting me in a position where I have to explain myself but you're giving me no choice, I guess.
Olivia: What do you mean?
Ashley: This whole thing could have been avoided if you had just minded your own business. For your information, you're completely wrong about the situation.
Ashley: Victor doesn't know that Abby's his.
Olivia: How could he possibly not know?
Ashley: Because there was no affair. It was a --
Olivia: It was a one-time thing?
Ashley: Really don't want to discuss this.
Olivia: No, no, come on, Ashley, you've got to tell me because you're not making any sense.
Ashley: You're not going to let go, are you?
Olivia: No, I'm not. I know too much already. You might as well tell me the whole thing.
Ashley: All right. You better brace yourself because what you're about to hear is really going to blow you away.
Jack: Okay. I'll get it all out on the table. I know you have been dealing with more than just Ashley's illness. Is the other thing behind you as well?
Brad: You're referring to Newman?
Jack: Ashley said you're very unhappy with the way Victor's been sticking his nose into your life where it doesn't belong.
Brad: That goes for you, too, Jackson.
Jack: I'm Ashley's brother, Brad.
Brad: Just the same, we've had too much outside interference.
Jack: I'm on your side.
Brad: For the record, Ash and I have cleared the air on the subject so just drop it, okay.
Jack: I'd be happy to drop it. You have no idea how happy I would be to drop that subject.
Gina: Excuse me. Listen, I'm sorry, I couldn't spend too much time with you and Ashley last night. There was so much going on in the kitchen.
Brad: No problem. Dinner was wonderful.
Jill: Well, thank you very much. Oh, by the way, Ashley forgot her credit card on her seat.
Brad: Really? That's not like Ash.
Jill: Well, I guess she got distracted when she ran into Victor Newman for just for a couple of minutes. You two have a good day. I'll see you later.
Jack: Bradley, don't overreact. I'm sure it was a chance meeting.
Brad: Yeah, right. Will you get the check, Jack?
Jack: Where are you going in such a hurry?
Michael: So that's the whole story. Like I said before, truth is stranger than fiction.
Christine: Mary has done some weird things in the past, but this is beyond anything I could ever imagine.
Michael: Well, I had a feeling it was Paul's secretary that planned it.
Christine: No, Lynne is usually so sensible. What on earth were they thinking?
Michael: Apparently, they needed to get into my filing cabinet.
Michael: They wouldn't say.
Christine: So you had the police arrest them?
Michael: I know, I know. Look, Chris, I was angry.
Christine: I understand that. But my God, Paul's mom in jail?
Michael: They were only at the police station for a few hours. I just called before you came in, they had been bailed out.
Christine: Probably by Paul.
Michael: Yeah, I assume so.
Christine: All right. Well, I'm glad you dropped the charges, but I don't think we should let it end here.
Michael: I think they've learned their lesson.
Christine: I'm going to get to the bottom of this.
Michael: Chris, forget it, look, we have so many more important things to deal with.
Christine: Michael, the sooner I clear this up, the sooner I will be able to concentrate on other things.
Michael: Like what?
Christine: Like giving you an answer to your proposal. I'd say that's a pretty big decision, don't you agree?
Michael: Why exactly was the alarm tripped?
Officer: That's why I called, Mr. Baldwin, to make sure it wasn't you.
Michael: All right, Officers, what's going on?
Officer: See for yourself.
Michael: What the hell's going on here?
Officer: Found these women digging through your files.
Michael: All right. I'll ask you one more time. What were you two doing here? What were you looking for? Fine. You want to play hardball? Take them away, Officer.
Officer: Let's go.
Mary: No. Get your hands off of me. Will you leave me -- let go of me!
Officer: Calm down, ma'am.
Michael: What in the hell were those two trying to find? What could they possibly have been looking for?
Lynne: Maybe I better back up a little.
Paul: Yes, maybe you better.
Lynne: It all started when we set off the motion detector.
Paul: Lynne, after all these years of working for me --
Lynne: I know. I should have figured there would be an alarm system.
Paul: The first thing you think of when you burglarize a place.
Lynne: We weren't burglarizing the place.
Paul: Oh, really? What do you call it? Anyway, Lynne, what happened next?
Lynne: Apparently, the security guard called Michael. The man you saw me with when you came in, he was a messenger taking your mother's signed bail slip back to the bail clerk.
Paul: You were arrested?
Lynne: The security guard called the police.
Paul: Baldwin couldn't have stopped it?
Lynne: I suppose he could have, but he didn't. We went to the police station, they booked us, they were about to take us to the holding cell.
Paul: My God, Lynne, my mother behind bars.
Lynne: Not quite. She was upset, she was anxious, she was worried about how you would feel. She started to hyperventilate.
Paul: And collapsed.
Lynne: I'm so sorry. I feel so terrible about this.
Paul: You know what, Lynne, it never should have gotten this far. Baldwin could have stopped it. He is the reason my mother is in the hospital.
J.T.: You're worried because I'm older than Colleen, don't be.
John: And of course I'm worried. Don't you know what it's like for a high school girl to have someone like you pay attention to her?
J.T.: Maybe the kid has a little crush on me. I wouldn't do anything to take advantage of that.
John: You've already had by monopolizing her so she can't be with boys her own age.
J.T.: Colleen is way mature than a lot of the college girls I know.
John: She's a very smart girl, but in many ways she's a very young girl, still.
J.T.: How is she ever going to grow up if you keep her locked up in her room?
John: You are quite the ladies' man, aren't you?
J.T.: Not with your granddaughter. It's different.
John: Different how?
J.T.: She's not like a girlfriend or anything. There are no games between us. We just hang out and stuff, you know. She gets me. I would never do anything to hurt her.
John: You know, what you don't know is Colleen is in my care because she had a great deal of trouble in New York. And now that she's finally getting her act together, you come along.
J.T.: I swear, Mr. Abbott, we haven't done anything --
John: Yes, you have. She lies to me. She sneaks behind my back and she disobeys me. And I hold you responsible. Now, listen to me, if you care about this girl, and I am really not sure you do, you stay away from her. Because if you don't, I promise you I will find a way to make your life very uncomfortable. You count on that.
J.T.: Can you believe that guy?
Brittany: He's only trying to protect his precious granddaughter from the big bad wolf.
J.T.: Man, this is so lame. I feel terrible for Colleen. It was a stupid concert.
Brittany: So you can't see her anymore. And you'll miss out at another chance for revenge.
J.T.: How many times do I have to tell you this isn't about Billy?
Brittany: Maybe not, but it's definitely about the Abbots.
J.T.: What are you talking about?
Brittany: You're just lucky your relationship hasn't gone any farther than friendship because if they ever caught you with your paws on that girl, you'd be in more trouble than you ever dreamed of.
J.T.: You are so sick, Brittany.
Brittany: My God. You really do care about her, don't you? This is so not like you, J.T. Is it possible that you're actually concerned with someone other than yourself? And on top of it all, for it to be sweet, innocent Colleen Carlton?
J.T.: Bite me.
Victor: We need this contact for our North Sea operation. Exactly. You fix it, get back to me. Don't let it fall through. Sorry, Bradley, this is not a good time. I'm very busy at the moment.
Brad: What I have to say won't take long.
Victor: Does this have to do with Ashley?
Brad: You're damn right it does.
Victor: You seem angry about something.
Brad: The past several months my wife has been going through the challenge of her life.
Victor: I'm well aware of that.
Brad: During that time, she has leaned on you for support and friendship.
Victor: Uh-huh. And that was something you didn't like, is it?
Brad: No, no, I didn't. But I've put up with it because I realize the comfort that it gave her.
Victor: Well, I applaud your restraint. Why don't you get to the point?
Brad: Now that Ash is on the road to recovery, God willing, she's through the chemo, I want to you stay away.
Victor: Is that all you've come to say?
Brad: Do yourself a favor, Newman, don't dismiss this. I am very serious.
Victor: I'm sure you are, Bradley. I'm sorry that my spending time with Ashley has caused friction between the two of you.
Brad: Save it. You couldn't give a damn.
Victor: Well, you believe what you will. The truth is, that for years now, the only thing between your wife and me has been friendship. All right? So, if you still feel threatened by that --
Brad: Is that what you think?
Victor: What else can I think when you barge in here like a jealous husband?
Brad: Let me set you straight. Threatened by you, I'm not. I just don't trust you.
Victor: There's not much I can do about that, is there?
Brad: You know, I would think that once you remarried Nikki, you would have taken a break from intruding in other people's lives. But I guess the honeymoon's over, isn't it?
Victor: If this is about my running into your wife at Gina's, it was a coincidence.
Brad: Coincidence or no coincidence, I'm sick of you running into my wife.
Victor: Your wife and I had a conversation at Gina's. Just like two civilized adult human beings would. Under the circumstances, I'm sorry if it offended your sensibilities. Now, if that is all you came to say, then I think it is time to leave.
Brad: You may have listened to what I had to say, but you haven't heard. You never do. Now, I have made this request before, but you've chosen to ignore it. So this time I'll make it a warning. Stay the hell away from my wife. Or the next time you and Ash just happen to bump into each other by accident, I'm not going to be so damn reasonable.
John: My granddaughter is a 15-year-old girl. And the last thing she needs is to be involved with a young man like you. If you care about this girl, and I am really not sure you do, you stay away from her. Because if you don't, I promise you I will find a way to make your life very uncomfortable. You count on that.
J.T.: Hey, kid. What's going on?
Colleen: Listen, things didn't go that well with my granddad, as I thought. I'm grounded.
J.T.: That's too bad.
Colleen: Yeah, but don't worry. He can't watch me every minute.
J.T.: Look, Colleen, I don't think --
Colleen: You want to meet after school in the park?
J.T.: Hold on a second.
Colleen: What's the matter?
J.T.: Maybe we should lay low for a while.
Colleen: What do you mean, like not see each other?
J.T.: It might be a good idea.
Colleen: No way. I'm not gonna let him run my life.
J.T.: Colleen, I've been thinking about this.
Colleen: What? You don't want to meet today?
J.T.: I hate to see you get in more trouble.
Colleen: Look, I have been grounded before and I've managed to sneak out. It's no big deal. Trust me.
J.T.: Colleen, I think we should just chill, you know?
Colleen: You don't mean this.
J.T.: Yeah, I do. Bye, Colleen. You're an amazing girl, and I hope everything goes okay for you.
Colleen: J.T., Please don't hang up. J.T.?
Victor: Go home, Bradley. Go home to your wife. All right?
Brad: I meant what I said. You stay the hell away from her.
Victor: You having nothing to be concerned about, son.
Brad: That's all you have to say?
Victor: You want to promise some blood or what?
Brad: Just a little surprised you're backing down.
Victor: Would you rather put my fist into your face?
Brad: If you're trying to get me to let my guard down with this cool and calm routine, it ain't gonna happen.
Victor: Now you listen to me for a minute, all right?
Brad: This ought to be good.
Victor: You've been a very good husband, giving strength to your wife. I thank you for that.
Brad: Thank me? You're thanking me? As if I baby-sat one of your horses. You are an arrogant son of a bitch.
Victor: This has nothing to do with arrogance, Bradley. Now, you obviously intend on picking a fight. I refuse to be drawn in.
Brad: Why are you walking away from conflict, Newman, you usually thrive on that?
Victor: I want you to go home and worry about your wife. Stop worrying about me. Okay? You have a beautiful baby; you have a wife at home who survived a time of crisis. You should thank the heavens for that. Now, if I were you, I would stop walking around looking for a fight. This conversation is over with because I have a telephone call to make. Thank you. Connect me with the law firm that deals with Nazi project. Thank you. Hi, this is Victor Newman again. Listen, I am obviously very concerned.
Ashley: Do you remember a few years ago, about two or three years ago, you told me that you ran into Diane Jenkins at a pharmacy, at a hospital?
Ashley: Just think back. You told me that she was buying a medical freezer, small one.
Olivia: Yeah. I think I remember.
Ashley: Well, she had stolen a sample of Victor's sperm from the lab where it was being stored.
Olivia: You're kidding?
Ashley: Long story.
Olivia: Wait a minute. It turned out that it wasn't Victor's baby.
Ashley: That's right.
Olivia: Oh, my God. You took the sperm? You got it from Diane, you used it yourself?
Ashley: Artificial insemination.
Olivia: Without Victor's knowledge?
Ashley: Without anyone's knowledge, actually.
Olivia: Oh, my God. I can't believe you'd do something so bizarre.
Ashley: At least you can rest easy. Knowing that there's no way Brad can find out. Frankly, I'm a little insulted that you really think I would risk hurting him that way, Liv.
Olivia: Okay. I'm relieved it wasn't the way I thought. But how could you handle it this way?
Ashley: Where do you get off judging me?
Olivia: I'm not judging you, Ashley. I'm concerned.
Ashley: About what?
Olivia: About what? Given the history of your husband and Victor Newman, you need to ask me that? You're crazy if you don't tell Brad the truth.
Ashley: Look, that's my decision, and I want to you stay out of it.
Olivia: You know it's the right thing to do.
Ashley: Now you're going to tell me what the right thing to do is in this situation?
Olivia: Honey, you owe it to Brad. You owe it to him. You've got to protect him. Because one of these days, Victor Newman is going to find out the truth.
Ashley: Not if you keep your mouth shut.
Olivia: You're going to take a chance like that? You can't let Brad be blindsided. You have to tell him the truth.
Ashley: I don't have to do anything, Olivia.
Olivia: Yes, you do, Ashley. You have to tell him because if you don't, I will.
Michael: Paul, I know why you're here. Before you say a word; you want me, you come after me. Do you understand me?
