[Phone ringing]

Nikki: Hello.

Victor: Is this Mrs. Victor Newman?

Nikki: It's not official yet.

Victor: I wanted to make sure you haven't forgotten today.

Nikki: Good thing you called. I cannot believe that the next time I see you, we will be standing in front of a minister exchanging vows.

Victor: I want to spend the rest of my life with you.

Nikki: I feel the same way.

Victor: I love you.

Nikki: I love you, always and forever. I'll see you soon.

Victor: Yes. Bye. Victoria told me. You and Nick are having another baby. Things are working out for all of us.

Sharon: About Victoria.

Diego: I don't know if you know but Victoria and I are going to the wedding together. It should be a great opportunity for all of us --

Victoria: Hey, Diego --

Diego: Listen, I have to go. But I'll see you tomorrow.

Nicholas: Sharon? Where you going?

Sharon: Nowhere. It's just such a nice day, I thought I'd take a walk.

Nicholas: A walk? I'm surprised you have any energy.

Sharon: Why do you say that?

Nicholas: You were tossing and turning all night last night.

Sharon: Oh. I hope I didn't keep you up.

Nicholas: It's all right. I'm mad at you for a different reason.

Sharon: You are?

Nicholas: We were supposed to get cracking on that new baby. When I came up to bed, you were sound asleep.

Sharon: Oh.

Nicholas: It's okay. We'll make up for it tonight.

Sharon: Okay. Um, I'll see you later.

Nicholas: I could go with you.

Sharon: You're not dressed.

Nicholas: Give me a few seconds.

Sharon: Nick, you know what? I just want to go out and get some air, okay? Look, you know what? The kids are going to be home soon from their sleepover so why don't you get breakfast started.

Diego: Come here.

Victoria: This is getting to be a habit.

Diego: What is?

Victoria: Us waking up together.

Diego: You're not complaining though, are you?

Victoria: What do you think?

Victoria: I have to get out. I have a huge day.

Diego: Just--.

Victoria: Twist my arm.

Isabella: Hello, Diane.

Diane: Hello.

Isabella: Are you here alone?

Diane: I'm waiting for someone to join me.

Isabella: May I join you? You're up and out early this morning. It's a beautiful day. I was thinking of having lunch in the park with Ricky. Maybe you and Kyle can join us.

Diane: I have plans.

Isabella: Am I bothering you?

Diane: I'm surprised you're sitting here. Are you sure you want to sit in public with me? It might get back to Paul. After all he's the man of the house and you're his obedient wife.

Jack: There you go. I make incredible toast. I'm told I pour incredible cereal.

Phyllis: Hey. How are my boys doing?

Jack: I'm making my guy some grub.

Phyllis: You should get ready for work.

Jack: I'm not going to work. I'm going to hang out, relax until Nikki's wedding.

Phyllis: I will do the same thing too. I got up and looked out the window and saw Diane out of the driveway.

Jack: Moving right along, did you find a new frock for the wedding? Be careful. Don't look too stunning. You don't want to upstage the bride.

Phyllis: You're sweet. It's cool the Newmans invited the Abbotts to the wedding.

Jack: Try Nikki.

Phyllis: It doesn't matter. It's a classy gesture. Is Ashley going?

Jack: I don't know. I think so, if she feels well.

Phyllis: How is she when you saw her last?

Jack: She seemed pretty tired. I think this chemo is knocking the stuffing out of her.

Phyllis: This has to be tough on her.

Jack: And on Brad.

Phyllis: On Brad? That's a switch.

Jack: What?

Phyllis: Well, you're feeling sympathy for Brad.

Jack: Heís her husband and she needs his support, and frankly they both need all the support they can get from us.

Ashley: Hi.

Brad: Hi, baby. How'd you sleep?

Ashley: Okay.

Brad: Good. You hungry? I went to the bakery, got us some muffins.

Ashley: Just some juice would be great.

Brad: Okay. Coming right up. Here you go.

Ashley: Thanks.

Brad: You're welcome. You feel like talking a little bit?

Ashley: About?

Brad: About what we were discussing last night. I meant what I said. You are going to beat this. We're going to beat this because we're in this together.

Ashley: I know we are, honey.

Brad: Do you? Really, Ash? Because sometimes I feel like you're shutting me out. I'm your husband. I love you. I see you're hurting. I want to help you, Ash. I want to be there for you. You have to let me in.

Ashley: I think I will have a muffin after all.

Brad: How are you feeling? Not so hot, huh?

Ashley: A little bit.

Brad: Maybe you shouldn't go to the wedding.

Ashley: I should be all right by then.

Brad: You shouldn't push yourself.

Ashley: Why don't you just say it?

Brad: What?

Ashley: What this is really about. You're trying to get out of going to Victor and Nikki's wedding, aren't you?

Brad: You're what matters most to me.

Ashley: But?

Brad: But, no, I wouldn't be crushed if we didn't go to the wedding.

Ashley: I didn't think so.

Brad: I'm surprised you want to go.

Ashley: Why? I'm happy for Victor. You should be happy for Nikki as far as I'm concerned.

Victor: What a pleasant surprise.

Katherine: I won't stay long because I know you're busy.

Victor: Always good to see you. What brings you by?

Katherine: I wanted to give you this.

Victor: What's this?

Katherine: Victor, open it and find out for yourself.

Victor: I will first sit down. You sit over there. I will sit over here. What have you brought me? Let's see. That's nice of you.

Katherine: I thought so.

Victor: Cuff links.

Katherine: And studs. I thought you could use them. For good luck.

Victor: I didn't know cuff links are a symbol of good luck.

Katherine: They are good luck if I say they are good luck.

Victor: Then I will wear them with pleasure. Thank you.

Katherine: How are you holding up?

Victor: Good.

Katherine: Good. I will get to the other reason I am here.

Victor: Oh, what? What's that?

Katherine: I came to lay down the law.

Nicholas: We need you well-rested at this wedding today. How are the waffles?

Cassie: Great.

Sharon: Hey, kids, how were your sleepovers?

Cassie: Great.

Nicholas: How was the walk?

Sharon: Fine.

Cassie: We were talking about the wedding. I am so excited about being the flower girl. Have you been a flower girl before, Mom? Mom?

Sharon: What?

Cassie: I asked if you've ever been a flower girl before.

Sharon: No, I haven't.

Nicholas: Okay. You guys all finished here?

Cassie: Yep, I'm full.

Nicholas: Done?

Noah: Mmm-hmm.

Nicholas: Why don't you run up to the ranch and see if there's anything you can do to help.

Cassie: Okay. Come on, Noah.

Sharon: Bye, kids.

Nicholas: So, what's wrong?

Isabella: I am no one's doormat, Diane. You are forgetting the times I have run out on my husband to come to your side.

Diane: Running to the pool house is not the same.

Isabella: Let's talk about something else. Have things changed with Jack?

Diane: Things are good or I should say things are going to be good.

Isabella: And that assumption is based on?

Diane: Sheer determination.

Phyllis: I get a kiss and a hug from this little guy.

Jack: Can I get you anything? I'll be right back.

Phyllis: Thank you. Thank you very much, Kyle. Put that there. How about we get out of this chair? Okay.

Kyle: Out.

Phyllis: Yes, out. You're becoming a huge boy. Did I hurt you? I'm sorry. Let's go. Yes, Mr. Owl. There you go. We're playing that game, are we? You know what your daddy and I are doing? We're going to a wedding. We're going to a big wedding. Do you know what that is? That's when two people who love each other very much say they will stay together forever in front of their friends and family. Daddy and I had a wedding around Christmas. You should have been there. It was really fun. I wish you were there. Yes, the big ceremony and afterward there's lots of dancing and eating at a big party. Do you know how to dance? Do you know how to dance? Do you? I bet you do. Do you know how to dance as well as you know how to throw things? Let's dance. You put your hand out like that.

Jack: Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, move over.

Phyllis: I didn't know you were there.

Jack: Don't let me stop you.

Phyllis: He would rather have some juice.

Jack: There you go. I think he likes you.

Phyllis: Think so?

Jack: Yeah. I can tell.

Phyllis: I like him. He's very sweet.

Jack: I know this hasn't been an easy time for you, Diane here and living with my son. I want you to know it means the world to me, all the effort you've made with him. When you said you saw Diane pulling out of the driveway, I have to admit I felt amazing relief.

Phyllis: You are taking steps to get rid of her, right?

Jack: She will be gone very soon. I have given her walking papers.

Phyllis: I'm sure she's ripped them up.

Jack: That doesn't matter at all. You believe me, don't you?

Phyllis: I believe you. I know you want her out of here as badly as I do. Whatever happens, I'm on your side, okay?

Sharon: Nothing is wrong, Nicholas. I'm fine. Let me clean up these plates. We have a really big day today. The kids are happy about this wedding, aren't they? I'm so glad your mother included me in the ceremony.

Nicholas: Don't worry about it; I can take care of it.

Sharon: That's okay. I can handle it.

Nicholas: Sharon.

Sharon: Nick, I said I'm fine, okay? I'm such a klutz.

Nicholas: Just leave it, okay? Look, talk to me. There is something bothering you. And I want to know what it is.

Brad: Why should I be happy for Nikki and Victor? You act as if they will stay together this time. Based on what?

Ashley: I believe they will.

Brad: Look, Ash, wedding or no wedding, you have to take care of yourself. You shouldn't push yourself.

Ashley: For the last time.

Brad: I just don't want you --

Ashley: I won't. I know my limits. Will you please stop treating me like a child?!

Brad: Have you forgotten why you're going through this chemo? It's so you can live a long and healthy life. Now you shouldn't do anything to jeopardize --

Ashley: Stop living now so I can live later?

Brad: Going to Victor's wedding isn't about living.

Ashley: What is it about?

Brad: About sentimentality. You can watch a videotape of the wedding.

Ashley: It's not the same.

Brad: Ash, for crying out loud. You're talking like Victor and Nikki are a couple of kids running off to start a life together. They've been married before, more than once. This is what they have been doing. They chase each other for years. They break up and do it all again. Frankly, I think this is more of the same.

Ashley: Do you? To them this is an important and romantic occasion and I want to be there to celebrate it.

Brad: Why does it matter so much to you?

Ashley: The question is why doesn't it matter more to you? You and Nikki were close at one time. This couple found their way back to each other. I find that very life-affirming and I think it's sad that you don't.

Nikki: Thank you, Miguel.

Miguel: Mrs. Newman, I must say I'm quite impressed.

Nikki: Why?

Miguel: It's your wedding day and I haven't seen you so calm.

Nikki: Check back with me in a couple hours.

Miguel: Have you and Mr. Newman discussed how you will spend your time between here and the penthouse?

Nikki: I hope there are no long stretches in the city.

Cassie: Hi. I came to help you get ready.

Nikki: Aren't I lucky.

Cassie: Is there anything I can do?

Miguel: I can use your help in the kitchen, Noah.

Nikki: Just a minute, missy. I want to you stay here. I want to talk about something.

Cassie: About the wedding?

Nikki: Yes.

Cassie: Is it a surprise?

Nikki: It's a special request.

Cassie: What kind of request?

Nikki: You're full of questions, aren't you? Stay right there. I'll be right back.

Victor: Wait a minute, you're here to lay down the law?

Katherine: Exactly.

Katherine: I know better than anyone else what you and Nikki have gone through.

Victor: Yes, Katherine, you do. You do indeed.

Katherine: I just hope you have resolved all of your other issues, my friend. This wedding means so much to that woman. Oh, come on, she's very much in love with you, Victor.

Victor: I know. And I'm very much in love with her.

Katherine: You know what it takes to make her happy, and I expect you to do exactly that. No excuses this time, okay?

Victor: Or else.

Katherine: Yes, or else. Anything I can do?

Victor: You show up at the Colonnade Room with bells on, all right? You going to buy some bells?

Katherine: I will buy some bells. By the way, Victor --

Victor: I know. I will be very good to her. I promise you. Bye-bye, Katherine.

Katherine: Bye-bye.

Victoria: You know what I just thought of?

Diego: What is that?

Victoria: This will be our first official outing as a couple.

Diego: That's right. Are you sure you want to go public?

Victoria: Do you want to go?

Diego: Why wouldn't I?

Victoria: You have a lot on your mind.

Diego: You mean with my brother.

Victoria: Wouldn't you rather be with Raul?

Diego: There's nothing I can do for him. I feel helpless when Iím there.

Victoria: You want to take a breather.

Diego: If I get a call, I hope you understand.

Victoria: Yeah, of course.

Diego: Man, I don't even have a suit for tonight. I don't even own a suit. I hope there's something I can get in the last minute.

Victoria: Hold that thought. I'll be right back.

Diego: Where are you going?

Victoria: Don't go anywhere. Tah-dah.

Diego: What is that?

Victoria: Well, no offense I thought you might not have anything to wear tonight. I had a personal shopper run around Fenmore's and find you this.

Diego: That's some suit.

Victoria: Yeah.

Diego: That's for me.

Victoria: Yeah. Who else?

Diego: This is incredible. You really shouldn't have done this.

Victoria: I was waiting for the perfect time to bring it out. I hope you like it. I hope it fits.

Diego: Thank you.

Cassie: Oh, my gosh. Is that my dress?

Nikki: Yes.

Cassie: Let me see!

Nikki: Your brother's tuxedo. Isn't that precious?

Cassie: He will be the cutest ring bearer. Oh, my gosh.

Nikki: What's this? It's even more beautiful than it was in the store. I think so. Your bouquet is going to be even more beautiful.

Cassie: I thought it was going to be a basket.

Nikki: I think you're too grown up to be a flower girl.

Cassie: Does that mean I don't get to be in the wedding?

Nikki: That means you get to be a junior bridesmaid. Do you want to?

Cassie: I would love to. Thank you, thank you, thank you! This is going to be a great day.

Nikki: Where are your parents?

Cassie: Down at the house.

Nikki: Are they coming up?

Cassie: I think they wanted to be alone.

Nikki: Oh, okay.

Nicholas: Sharon, stop saying that to me. I have eyes. I can see there's something wrong.

Sharon: It's nothing to be concerned about.

Nicholas: What about last night? You're all excited about making another baby and then you're sound asleep.

Sharon: I was tired.

Nicholas: It's more than that.

Sharon: Stop talking. We're wasting time.

Nicholas: Wasting time for what? You're in the mood now?

Sharon: I was in the mood last night but it just didn't work out.

Nicholas: Sharon, wait, wait.

Sharon: I don't want to wait.

Nicholas: What about the kids?

Sharon: The kids are up at the main house.

Nicholas: What if they come back early?

Sharon: Don't think about the kids, all right? Don't think about anyone but you and me. Make love to me, please. Make love to me right now.

Brad: So bottom line, going to Victor's wedding means that much to you.

Ashley: Yes.

Brad: So much so you want to go regardless of how you're feeling.

Ashley: Victor is a good friend of mine and he's getting married. I want to be there to show support. I know you want to be there for Nikki.

Brad: But --

Ashley: You and Nikki were close to being married. I don't throw that in your face.

Brad: That's different.

Ashley: How?

Brad: You know how! She's not showing up at our door uninvited. Ash, it's true and you know it. Victor hovers over us no matter how many times I have told him to mind his own business. Now if Nikki was doing that, you would -- -- man, I don't want to do this. I don't want to keep arguing about Victor.

Ashley: Let's not. You don't want to go to Victor's wedding, no one is forcing you to go. But I will be there, whether you like it or not.

Phyllis: You know there's a silver lining to all of this.

Jack: Meaning Kyle.

Phyllis: Mmm-hmm. I really do like him.

Jack: I'm glad you had time to spend with him.

Phyllis: Me too. I enjoyed it as much as he has. All the moments I have spent with him, they are pretty precious to me.

Jack: Because of everything that happened with Daniel.

Phyllis: I just want to be a good step-mother.

Jack: You are a great step-mom.

Phyllis: Do you mean that?

Jack: Yes, I mean it. I believe that with everything in me. If you don't believe that, you have a lot of time to practice.

Phyllis: I know because Diane is going to be around.

Jack: That also means we have more than two weeks a year with Kyle.

Phyllis: And for that I'm very grateful.

Jack: And the fact that Diane will be in Genoa City on a more permanent basis?

Phyllis: That's another story, isn't it. I'm just going to focus on Kyle. Start building a stable relationship with him. I really want that, Jack. I want to make sure when Kyle is with us, we're a secure, happy family. I want that for him. I really do. I want that for all of us.

Isabella: When we last spoke, I sensed there was something going on in that head of yours.

Diane: Do you?

Isabella: Okay. You don't trust me. Fine. I'm still curious. Does that mean you made peace with the situation or there's a change with what's going on with Jack and Phyllis?

Diane: All of the above.

Isabella: I find that intriguing.

Diane: That's all Iím going to say.

Isabella: You have to give me more than that.

Sydney: Hello, Diane. Sorry Iím late.

Diane: Hello, Sydney. Would you excuse us, Isabella?

Isabella: Meeting with your attorney.

Diane: It was nice to see you and I will call you, on your cell. Is it ready?

Sydney: Yes.

Diane: Let me see it.

Sydney: You realize the impact this will have. Are you sure you want to?

Diane: Just give it to me.

Diego: You know what? I can't even believe you did this.

Victoria: I can't believe how good you look in that suit. It fits perfectly.

Diego: Fits just like a glove. And how did you know what size I was?

Victoria: Well, I've been kind of checking you out for a while now.

Diego: Lucky me. Fenmore's, huh?

Victoria: Yeah. You have a problem with that?

Diego: It would take me a month's salary to pay for this.

Victoria: It's a gift.

Diego: I don't think I can accept that.

Victoria: Of course you can. Do you think Iím trying to own you?

Diego: I feel like a kept man.

Victoria: I'll keep you busy all right.

Sharon: Stop, stop, stop.

Nicholas: Sharon, what?

Sharon: I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I can't do this, Nick. I can't.

Nicholas: All right. This has been going on long enough. Now I want you to tell me what is wrong with you.

Sharon: I can't.

Nicholas: Whatever it is you are carrying inside of you, you've got to tell me what it is. Tell me!

Sharon: All right. I'll tell you. I'll tell you everything. I've been keeping a secret from you for the past few months. And it's eating me up inside. I tried to tell you so many times, but I just can't keep it from you anymore. God help me. I have to tell you.
