Victor: Good news about the bail hearing? Got the return on the prints yet?
John: Unfortunately, no.
Victor: I've got to get out of here.
John: I know. Until those prints clear.
Victor: John, worst case scenario, how long will it take?
John: Worst case, 36 hours.
Victor: That's unacceptable, okay? I have got to get to Victoria's wedding.
John: Victor --
Victor: You do whatever you have to do to get me out of here. I will not disappoint my daughter. Is that clear? Any sign of Tricia Dennison?
John: I think she disappeared on purpose to avoid questioning.
Victor: Of course she did. Who knows where she is and who knows what she's up to. She worries me, you know. That is one sick lady.
Thank you, ma'am.
Thank you. Jerry, come on, let's go. Jerry, come on, let's go.
How can I help you, miss?
Tricia: I need a ticket to Los Angeles.
That train's packed. We have people on standby. I can give you something tomorrow.
Tricia: I have to be on that train today.
All right. I'll tell you what I can do. It'll be pricey though.
Tricia: Money doesn't matter.
All right. I have a sleeper car available. You can use that.
Tricia: That's perfect.
I need to see some ID.
Tricia: Sure, of course.
Victoria: Hi. Mr. Carlton was expecting a package from the Denver distributor. He wanted to know if it was here yet.
Ryan: I don't think so. As soon as it comes in, Iíll let him know.
Ryan: Hey, you're Victoria, aren't you?
Victoria: Yeah. And you're Ryan.
Ryan: You know my name.
Victoria: Yeah. I found out.
Ryan: You did? Why?
Victoria: You're kind of a hard guy not to notice.
Ryan: That's weird.
Victoria: What is?
Ryan: I thought the same thing about you.
Ryan: Yeah, really.
Victoria: That's cool. So you like the job?
Ryan: It's okay. What's not to like? Working in the mailroom isn't a glamorous position.
Victoria: It's a start. You have to start somewhere.
Ryan: Yeah, I guess. What about you?
Victoria: I like working here.
Ryan: I can imagine you have connections at the top.
Victoria: Try not to hold it against me, okay?
Ryan: So are you doing anything tonight?
Victoria: I don't think so, why?
Ryan: I thought maybe you would like to hang out, catch a movie or something.
Victoria: Sure, why not?
Ryan: Great. Let's do it.
Ryan: Good morning, beautiful.
Victoria: How long have you been up?
Ryan: For a while.
Victoria: Why didn't you wake me?
Ryan: I've been enjoying the sights.
Victoria: Have you checked the weather?
Ryan: I don't need to. I already know it's going to be a terrific day. How could it be anything but? It's our wedding day.
Ashley: What's all this?
Brad: This is a little something to tempt you, my love.
Ashley: Yes, that's tempting. Very, very tempted. The babysitter is going to be here any second.
Brad: It seems so right.
Ashley: I'll make it up to you tonight.
Brad: I'm going to hold you to that.
Ashley: So you were kind of restless last night, huh?
Brad: Restless, you call that restless, huh?
Ashley: After that. You were tossing and turning till the wee hours.
Brad: Sorry if I kept you up.
Ashley: I couldn't get it off my mind, the tone in her voice when we were talking about Colleen. There has to be something we can do.
Traci: Sweetheart, we don't have much time for breakfast before we leave for school.
Colleen: I have to finish this worksheet. I'll grab something on the way out. What?
Traci: I don't understand. I know you got in kind of late last night, but you were very determined to finish all of your homework.
Colleen: Well, I didn't, okay?
Traci: Why not?
Colleen: I fell asleep. Is that all right with you? If you don't mind, I really have to get this done.
Traci: Sweetheart, these new friends of yours.
Colleen: What about them?
Traci: You like them a lot.
Colleen: Yeah, why?
Traci: I would like to know a little more about them.
Colleen: Mom, come on, can't this wait?
Traci: No. No, it can't wait. I want to know what you all do when you're together.
Sharon: You want more coffee?
Nicholas: No, Iím cool. Thanks. I have to get to the office and take care of some things for dad.
Sharon: Is it going to take long?
Nicholas: No, it shouldn't. Why?
Sharon: It's your sister's wedding day.
Nicholas: Yeah, I know. Look, are you sure you're okay being the matron of honor? I know Vicki would understand if you're not.
Sharon: I'm fine, Nick. I want to do this for her. And besides, we already made all the plans to get ready together.
Nicholas: So you're going over there.
Sharon: As soon as Lisa gets here, she's going to get the kids ready and bring them to church. You know, there's still something else that we have to do.
Sharon: Well, I realize that today isn't the best day, but we still have to tell Noah about the baby.
Cassie: Good morning, Mommy. Good morning, Dad.
Jill: Is this what you're looking for?
Sean: Mmm... Come on, pretty one. I thought you would be snoozing.
Jill: There, is that better? What's the matter, stiff neck?
Sean: I know what you're going to say. I should have just used that futon for a proper bed.
Jill: Hey, hey, do you hear me complaining?
Matt: Last night you were so determined to stick around, get Victoria out of the way and now you're here with a train ticket.
Tricia: Shut up.
District Attorney: Hello. Anyone there?
Tricia: It's me, Tricia. I'm leaving town. I have to get away before -- I'm afraid of what Mr. Newman will be.
District Attorney: Let us put you in protective custody.
Tricia: That won't work. He will find a way to get to me.
District Attorney: Tricia.
Tricia: No, this has to be the way it has to be.
District Attorney: Where are you going?
Tricia: Do you promise you won't tell Victor?
District Attorney: Yes.
Tricia: To Los Angeles.
District Attorney: What about the trial? Your testimony is essential.
Tricia: Iíll come back in a few days.
District Attorney: Can you tell me where you'll be staying, a phone number?
John: What do you think Tricia is doing?
Victor: Whatever it is, it isn't any good, I can tell you that.
Paul: Hello, gentlemen.
Victor: Did you look at the surveillance tapes?
Paul: The night Tricia alleges the rape took place, one of the tapes shows her going upstairs with you.
Victor: What are you talking about? That can't be.
Paul: I'm not sure you were aware she was behind you.
Victor: Of course I wasn't aware. I never would have allowed her to come upstairs with me in the first place. I guess I was utterly exhausted. I was up all night before with Sharon and Nicholas and they just lost their baby at the hospital. I guess the whole thing was weighing on me.
John: The tape should prove that the whole thing's a charade.
Paul: The problem is everyone is not going to look at the tape the way we do. The security guard assumed you were very aware of Triciaís presence. He didn't want to interrupt. And there's more. There's another tape that shows about an hour later Tricia coming back downstairs. Her dress is ripped and she's in a very fragile, emotional state.
Victor: You see what's happening? This insidious woman is creating the impression she was raped.
Paul: Victor, I don't know how in the world we're going to make sense out of all of this.
Colleen: Mom, why are you giving me the third degree?
Traci: I'm not. I want to know more about these friends of yours. At least tell me their names.
Traci: Because you're spending a lot of time with them. I need to know a little bit more about them.
Colleen: It's not like Iím with them 24/7.
Traci: I know that. You have dance class and after school activities.
Colleen: That keeps me totally on the go.
Traci: You go to their homes sometimes, right?
Traci: I need to know who they are.
Colleen: I don't see why.
Traci: Because knowing where you are and keeping you safe, they're things a mom does.
Traci: All right. You've given me no choice.
Colleen: Where are you going?
Traci: I'm going to call some of your old friends. I think I can get one of them to tell me who you're hanging around with.
Colleen: I'm sorry Iím giving you attitude, it's just you seem suspicious of me.
Traci: I am not suspicious. This is concern, honey, and Iím tired of being shut out.
Colleen: I don't like shutting you out.
Traci: That's what you have been doing ever since we got back to New York. Colleen, I know that you're still hurting. But I have to believe if you put a little effort in, if we both make a little effort, things will get better soon. Can you do that for me, honey?
Colleen: Yeah, Mom, Iíll try.
Traci: Start by telling me the names of your friends.
Colleen: Giselle and Ricky. They're totally cool.
Traci: Thank you. That didn't hurt, did it? Now will you bring them by to see me real soon?
Traci: Okay, good.
Colleen: Oh, we've got to go.
Colleen: Mom, what is it?
Traci: You used to sleep with this little bear every night and in the morning you would put him under your pillow and tuck him into bed every day before you went to school. Just a sweet memory. Those were simpler times. I'm sorry, honey. Your mom gets a little nostalgic. Come on. I don't want us to be late for school. Come on.
Brad: Ash, I am wracking my brain trying to find out how to get my daughter back on track again.
Ashley: There has to be a way to keep the lines of communication open between her and the family.
Brad: She won't take my call; she's estranged from Steve.
Ashley: I felt bad for my sister yesterday.
Brad: She sounds like she's at the end of her rope.
Ashley: There is one person Colleen hasn't broken ties with.
Brad: Your dad.
Ashley: They say grandparents can be helpful in situations like this. [Doorbell sounding] I'll get it. It's probably Francis. Hi. Your ears must be burning. We were just talking about you.
John: Good morning, sweetheart.
Ashley: Come in, Dad.
John: Good morning, Brad.
John: I've been thinking about Colleen and I wondered if either of you have heard from Traci.
Victoria: My wedding day and I'm as cool as a cucumber. Who would have thought?
Ryan: I never doubted you would pull this off. Now you're about to make me the happiest man alive, becoming my wife. What? What is it?
Victoria: I can't help thinking about my dad. What if he doesn't get out in time?
Ryan: Vicki, there is no way Victor Newman will let anything or anyone keep him from coming to his daughter's wedding.
Victoria: You're right. You're right. He'll be there. Oh, my God! Oh, no! What have I done?! Oh, my God!
Ryan: What are you talking about?
Victoria: This is all wrong!
Nikki: Hi, sweetheart. I hope it's not too early. What? Honey, what is it? What's wrong?
This is the final boarding call for train 470 bound for Los Angeles. All passengers with tickets should board immediately. The train will depart shortly.
Matt: That's us, doll. We're off to sunny L.A. Sweetheart, they called for final boarding.
I can't get on the train now. I have to come later. Yeah, bye.
Tricia: Miss? Miss, can I talk to you for a moment?
Jill: What's all this?
Sean: A little excursion Iím planning for next free weekend.
Jill: Really? Where are we going?
Sean: We're going to rent an SUV and drive to the Colorado River where we will be put in matching kayaks. They have instructors to give us crash courses.
Sean: We'll trek back to the SUV and strap on some cords and bungee jump side by side all the way down.
Jill: Have you lost your mind?
Sean: Trust me, it's safe if we do it with the right people.
Jill: Look at me. Now I don't see myself -- what?
Sean: I was discussing this with Phyllis before, and she said you would never do it. I said you were up for anything. But maybe I was wrong.
Victor: There's only one explanation. Tricia Dennison planted the evidence.
Paul: For the life of me, Victor, I don't know how she --
Victor: I don't care how she arranged it; the DNA test will prove the semen is not mine.
[Cell phone ringing]
Paul: Excuse me. Yeah, Jake, what's up? She did? When? Where? I see. Thanks, buddy. We've had a hit on Triciaís credit card. She purchased a train ticket this morning.
John: Where's she headed?
Paul: Los Angeles on a sleeper car.
District Attorney: Excuse me, gentlemen, John, I need to see you.
John: We heard Tricia Dennison is leaving town.
Paul: She's taking a train to Los Angeles.
District Attorney: I knew about Miss Dennisonís travel plans. She explained she needed to get away. She assured me she would be back.
Victor: You believe her?
District Attorney: Why not? All the evidence proves her story.
Victor: The DNA tests will prove otherwise.
District Attorney: We'll let you know when the results come in. Gentlemen?
Victor: You understand that this is a vicious woman. Paul, do me a favor, check something out for me before you make your next move, all right?
Paul: Sure, what is it?
Jill: Are you telling me that Phyllis said I wouldn't do this? What, did she think I was too prim and proper?
Sean: What do you care what Phyllis thinks?
Jill: I donít. Okay.
Jill: Let me hear the rest of the itinerary. Please, please tell me we will end up at one of those fabulous four-star lodges.
Sean: Actually we will get back into the SUV and drive to the Twin Trails campsite.
Jill: Are you kidding me?
Sean: Haven't you camped before? A crackling campfire.
Jill: We will freeze.
Sean: You snuggle in blankets.
Jill: What about wild animals, wolves and --?
Sean: We will be in the tent snuggled in our sleeping bag. It will be an experience you will never forget.
Jill: If I survive it.
Sean: Donít you think you can do it?
Jill: I'll do it. If I'm lucky maybe Iíll drown in the Rapids the first day.
Sharon: Honey, do you understand what we just told you?
Noah: Not going to have another brother or sister.
Noah: Am I ever going to have a new brother or sister?
Nicholas: You are, slugger. Just not right now.
Noah: Can I go play now?
Nicholas: You bet. You okay, kiddo?
Sharon: Did you try on your dress for the wedding?
Cassie: It's beautiful.
Sharon: I know things have been kind of rough around here lately. I want to see you have a good time at the wedding today.
Cassie: I will. I'm happy for Aunt Vicki. I'll check on Noah.
John: Well, I can see from your reactions something's wrong. Have you heard from Traci?
Ashley: We phoned her yesterday.
Brad: Things are very slow getting back to normal.
John: You think they will?
Ashley: I think we have to help.
John: I have come to the same conclusion.
Brad: What do we do?
John: Well, the school holidays are coming up soon. I think it would be a heck of a good idea for the family to be together.
Ashley: I don't think there's a prayer that Traci, Steve and Colleen would come here. They could force Colleen here.
Brad: That would be counterproductive.
Ashley: I think so too.
John: We're back to square one.
Ashley: What do you think going to New York? If anybody could help in this situation, I think it would be you.
Victoria: I can't believe I did this.
Nikki: What's wrong?
Victoria: It's Ryan. He's seen me on my wedding day.
Nikki: Honey, it's a silly superstition.
Ryan: Listen to me. Come here. Superstition doesn't have a prayer against love. We've got plenty of it. We're surrounded by it. That's why I know in my heart, everything will be all right for us today and always. I guarantee it.
Nicholas: Good morning, Lisa. Come on in.
Lisa: Sorry I'm a little late.
Nicholas: That's okay. The kids are upstairs. I don't know what they're doing.
Lisa: I'll check it out.
Sharon: Was that Lisa?
Nicholas: Yeah. I'm glad she's here to, you know, help.
Sharon: Nick, I told you Iím fine.
Nicholas: I know you are. With everything that's happened. Look, I don't think we should tell the kids about Dad. They're coping with a lot right now.
Sharon: I agree. Which is why I have been giving a lot of thought to our little girl's funeral.
Nicholas: You think it's too much for Noah and Cassie to handle right now?
Sharon: Still it seems wrong to not somehow mark her passing.
Nicholas: I have been doing some thinking about that too.
Nicholas: What if you and I go to the funeral home, say goodbye together.
Sharon: Just the two of us?
Nicholas: Yeah. I think our families are going to understand.
Nicholas: Now. I know it's Vickiís wedding day, but, you know, we need to start putting the sadness behind us, start the healing. I don't think that's going to happen until both of us say goodbye.
Sharon: Let me get my coat.
Sharon: Kids, we're going. We'll see you at church.
Cassie: Okay, Mom.
Nikki: Okay. I've confirmed your appointment at the hair salon. I called Jacques at the Colonnade Room. The reception is going to be fabulous. That is, unless there's something else you want me to do.
Victoria: It sounds like you have everything under control. Thank you so much.
Nikki: You're welcome. Not that I had any doubts before, but what Ryan said earlier is lovely.
Victoria: Mother, he's been my rock. I am so lucky to have him.
Nikki: I know. He feels the same way about you which is a wonderful recipe for a long and happy marriage.
Ryan: I brought an extra mug. I thought you would like to join us.
Nikki: I would. But I have to go. I will see you at the church. And you, don't be late.
Ryan: Not a chance.
Nikki: See you.
Victoria: So my darling husband-to-be, it looks like everything is falling into place. It looks like I was being superstitious for nothing.
Ryan: Hold that thought. Hello. Yeah, Nina, hi. Is Philip on his way? What?
John: Ash, you know I would do anything I can to help my granddaughter. At the same time, we have to be careful not to hover too much.
Ashley: I think it's time to do a little hovering.
Brad: Colleen and Billy have a good relationship. Maybe we should include him in whatever plans we make.
John: We're talking about me going to New York, taking Billy along and, if possible, Mac?
Ashley: Given everything that's happened, maybe they need a break. I know people are reluctant to travel right now. Part of winning this war is getting back to our lives, right?
John: I couldn't agree more on all fronts. But a family trip, what about a short cruise? I think that's something they all would like to do.
Brad: Someplace warm, carefree. Bahamas?
Ashley: They can get away, relax, and spend some time together as a family. With you as a facilitator you could get things back on track, Dad.
John: I think you give me too much credit.
Ashley: You have to break the cycle before Colleen slips away more than she already has.
Traci: Well, made a little progress today, huh? It's a start. Oh, no.
Paul: Thanks again, Hank. You've been a big help.
Victor: What did you find out?
Paul: Train 407 headed to Los Angeles departed a few minutes ago. The ticket agent sold her a sleeper car and he radioed the porter. She's there.
John: She's out of reach, for now anyway.
Victor: Uh-huh. For now, I'm very glad that she's gone as far away from my family as possible, especially today.
Matt: Oh, man oh, man, you are something else, doll.
Tricia: In awe of me?
Matt: You bet I am. This is getting damned exciting, Tricia.
Tricia: You say that like it's a surprise.
Matt: Not a surprise that chick was at the train station.
Tricia: It was fun to see her face light up like that.
Matt: You got her out of a jam.
Tricia: You won't get to see L.A.
Matt: Who cares. This is so much better.
Tricia: It's only the beginning. Ryan and I will be together again.
Matt: You know what you're doing is a stroke of genius, making everybody think you left town.
Tricia: I was impressed myself.
Matt: Wait until Newman finds out, and you know he will one way or the other.
Tricia: Which means the family will have their guard down.
Matt: This will still be a hell of a challenge.
Tricia: I'm aware of that. I also realize I have to be very careful, especially putting my final steps into place.
Matt: So, come on, don't keep me hanging. I'm dying to know what's next.
Tricia: You'll see soon enough. Everyone will see.
