[Phone ringing]

Jack: Hello.

Traci: Jack, it's Traci.

Jack: Please tell me you found Colleen.

Traci: I wish I could. Listen, Iím downtown. My cell phone keeps coming in and out of range. I'm walking around down here. I'm trying to talk to people to see if anybody's seen anything. How about you? Any word at all?

Jack: Sorry, sis. I got nothing.

Traci: Jack, I'm trying to be positive about this but it's so hard. Where can my daughter be?

Victoria: You certainly know how to set a mood.

Ryan: I am serious about this trip.

Victoria: Obviously, you thought about everything except forks. You forgot forks.

Ryan: I guess we have to. I am here to improvise.

Victoria: Mmm, baklava. Except your fingers are sticky.

Ryan: There are napkins over on the desk.

Victoria: No, allow me.

Ryan: You're feeling more relaxed I see.

Victoria: I'm feeling something.

Ryan: I haven't gotten to the romantic tales.

Victoria: You don't have to. I have a very active imagination.

Ryan: We should go over some brochures, nail down a definite plan. Then again we don't want to rush things.

Victoria: You make me so happy. I can't help it. I can't stop thinking about Tricia. I just hope she doesn't destroy everything we tried so hard to build.

Marissa: Any word from Paul yet?

Lynne: I don't know what's keeping him.

Marissa: He could be drowning his sorrows.

Lynne: Paul? Not his style. He has been really down.

Marissa: He's really lonely.

Lynne: I know someone who wants to put an end to that. She's hot on his trail.

Mary: Hello, Lynne, Marissa. I'm here to see my son.

Lynne: I'm sorry, it's not possible.

Mary: If he's with a client, I can wait.

Lynne: That isn't what I meant.

Mary: Paul is still upset with me. That's why you won't let me in there. He wants nothing more to do with me.

Lauren: Isabella? Isabella?

Lauren: ďI know I'm breaking my end of the agreement but Iím leaving. Please don't tell Paul Iím pregnant with this baby. If he comes after me, it will cause nothing but heartache for me and my children. I know this is the only way to handle things. Isabella.Ē

[Knock on door]

Paul: So you want to tell me why Isabella is staying here? What's going on?! Damn it, Lauren, I want some answers! Now!

Lauren: I don't know what kind of answers you're looking for.

Paul: Where is Isabella?

Lauren: What makes you think she's here?

Paul: She had a charge to this suite. Either you've become a pickpocket or you're keeping her here. I suggest you start explaining things.

Lauren: I told her I wouldn't.

Paul: You told her you wouldn't what? Come on, Lauren, what are you keeping from me?

Mackenzie: Billy, what's wrong?

Billy: How you doing?

Mackenzie: Well, better now. It seems weird being back to school.

Billy: It seems too unreal.

Mackenzie: It doesn't fit with your macho image. You little bookworm.

Billy: Hey, it's kind of cool seeing everybody again.

Mackenzie: I can't believe it.

Billy: Finally. It took forever to get here.

Mackenzie: So much to think about. This year will fly by, not to mention our classes then the whole college thing. Applying and writing all those essays and looking at colleges.

Billy: Yuck, yuck, and yuck. Don't remind me. You're right, we are going to have a lot to think about.

Mackenzie: What? Where did you just go right now?

Billy: I was thinking about next year going away to college. We're going to have to think about it at some point, Mac.

Mackenzie: Not now. School's just starting.

Billy: You're right. You know it's going to be Thanksgiving, you know, how time flies? Just looking at you. I'm stoked. I'm super stoked. This is going to be an awesome year.

Mackenzie: Seniors rule.

Billy: That's not what I was talking about. We're going to have the whole year to do stuff together, hang out, study, go to games.

Mackenzie: Hold hands at the movies.

Billy: Exactly. Looking at the stars. Just being with you, Mac.

Mackenzie: Yeah, that's all I need.

Billy: Same here.

Mackenzie: This is going to be a wonderful year. Since youíre my main man.

Billy: I thought I was your only man.

Mackenzie: You are and don't forget that you are the only guy for me. Sometimes when I look at you, Billy, you make me so happy.

Ryan: I thought you decided Victor had the Tricia situation under control. It even sounded like you meant it.

Victoria: I guess things have been going all right.

Ryan: Okay. All right. All the more reason to concentrate. Let's go through these travel brochures and plan the most romantic time of our lives, okay?

Victoria: Before we do this...

Billy: Looks like somebody's lost.

Talking to me?

Mackenzie: You're a freshman, right?

Yeah. You're seniors?

Billy: Yeah. Let me guess. You're looking for the lab.

Mackenzie: Go down the hall, make a left then a right. You can't miss it.

Mackenzie: I remember my first day at Walnut Grove. Talk about a wreck. Billy, what is it?

Billy: Colleen should be starting school today too. Except she is out on the streets all alone. Oh, Mac, what if she's hurt or something? We have no way of knowing. What was she thinking going off and running away like that? I'm sorry. I don't want to get you upset.

Mackenzie: No, that's okay. I care about what's happening with your family.

Billy: Better get to class.

Mackenzie: That's okay. I have a free period.

Billy: Okay.

John: Thanks for the update, chief. You call me night or day. Thank you.

Traci: Daddy?

John: Traci, honey.

Traci: I'm so glad you're back.

John: It's okay. I'm here now.

Traci: Did you hear something?

John: I talked to the chief of police. There's no sign of her, sorry.

Traci: You came back early from your business trip. Thank you so much for being here.

John: My granddaughter running away? My family in crisis? This is where Iím needed. You look exhausted. Sit down.

Traci: I had to come home for a while.

John: It's difficult to find someone that doesn't want to be found.

Traci: We don't know if she's still in Genoa City. She could have hitchhiked. Oh, my God, I don't even want to --

Mackenzie: What do you mean Colleen's gone?

Ned: I'm sorry, Mac, I'm afraid she is. No one saw her leave the shelter but her backpack's gone. I have no idea where she is.

Mackenzie: Why did I promise not to say anything?

Ned: Mackenzie, it was a risk but you did what you had to do.

Mackenzie: God knows where Colleen is or what happened to her.

Victor: Maybe I should come back later.

Victoria: No, no, come in. Are you here to look at the plans for the new plant?

Victor: I told your brother that you and he should approve them on your own. You don't need me.

Victoria: If you want to check up on us, I wouldn't be upset.

Victor: What, do you think I feel left out or what?

Victoria: Do you?

Victor: I want the two of you to learn how to run the business on your own.

Victoria: We'll try to make you proud of us.

Victor: I really am. What do I see there? Are you planning to go on vacation somewhere?

Victoria: Unless that's a problem.

Lauren: Okay. You want to know what's going on? Fine. I'll tell you. I ran into Isabella a few nights ago in a restaurant. She was on her way out of town.

Paul: And?

Lauren: I told her to stick around and think things through. I told her I would under one condition, I wouldn't tell you.

Paul: Come on, Lauren. Where is she?

Lauren: She isn't here.

Paul: I see that. When is she coming back?

Lauren: She isn't coming back. I had to go to a meeting. When I returned, all of her things were gone. I think we may have seen the last of Isabella.

Victor: Why would I mind your going away?

Victoria: Because of this project Iím working with Nicholas on?

Victor: You are deserving of a vacation. Is Ryan accompanying you?

Victoria: We're thinking of going to the Greek Isles.

Victor: When?

Victoria: Fairly soon, as soon as we can get a date cleared.

Victor: That's a beautiful place. If I were you, I would choose another place to go to.

Victoria: Why is that?

Victor: That's where Diane and I went on our honeymoon. You know what happened to that relationship.

Victoria: I don't think Greece is to blame for that.

Victor: So you and Ryan talking about marriage?

Victoria: Well, the word has come up, but we're not quite there yet.

Victor: I see.

Victoria: After a romantic trip to the Greek islands, you never know.

Victor: I'm happy to see you smile again.

Victoria: Nicholas was telling me he went to the penthouse earlier and he saw Tricia. And he said she was fairly cooperative. Is that how she's been with you?

Victor: Complicated, darling. Let's say she's making progress. [Phone ringing]

Victoria: Excuse me. Victoria Newman. Yeah, Connie, he's right here. Hang on.

Victor: Yes, Connie. I forgot. Okay. I'll be right there. Sweetheart, there's something I have to deal with.

Victoria: Okay.

Matt: Nick, thank God you're back.

Nicholas: What the hell's going on? Sharon? Sharon?

Matt: I was doing the dishes and Sharon said she was feeling a little woozy and she had to lay down.

Nicholas: Is she okay? Sweetheart? Baby?

Sharon: Nicholas?

Nicholas: It's me. Can you tell me what happened?

Sharon: Oh, honey, it was the margaritas.

Nicholas: How many did you have?

Sharon: Two. I only had two. I don't know why they're affecting me like this.

Nicholas: Okay. Let's get you upstairs.

Matt: You need some help, man?

Nicholas: No, I got it.

Sharon: You feel good. You smell good too.

Nicholas: Okay. Okay. Come on. I'll take you to bed.

Nicholas: The night at the hospital when Matt died he said when he had dinner alone with Sharon at our place, the reason she was so drunk is because he put roofy in her margarita.

Victoria: Do you think he's telling the truth?

Nicholas: Who knows for certain?

Victoria: He was a horrible human being. Maybe he wanted to stick it to you one last time.

Nicholas: That's not all he said. He told me that night before I got home that he raped her.

Sharon: Nicholas? Nick, honey.

Nicholas: Hey.

Sharon: Where were you just now?

Nicholas: Never mind where I was. Where have you been?

Sharon: I just had some errands to run in town. If I knew you were here -- what are you doing here anyway?

Nicholas: Does a guy need a reason to come home and spend some time with his wife?

Sharon: So you interrupted your day because you missed me?

Nicholas: What other reason would there be?

Sharon: I can drag it out of you if you want, but -- oh.

Nicholas: Sharon, what's wrong?

Sharon: I don't know. I think it's the baby.

Nicholas: The baby, is there something wrong with the baby? Sharon, talk to me.

Sharon: It's the first time I ever felt the baby kick.

Nicholas: Wow! Wow!

Sharon: I couldn't have said it better myself.

Nicholas: He is really kicking up a storm in there.

Sharon: Yeah, she really is.

Nicholas: I think we have a future soccer player on our hands. Oh, this is so awesome. Our little baby is so lucky to have you as a mom.

Sharon: Oh, honey. I was just going to say the same thing. I think that she is going to be so lucky to have you as a dad.

Nicholas: I love you so much.

Sharon: I love you more than you could ever know.

Traci: I swear, Dad, this little girl looked exactly like Colleen. I drove a little closer and I realized --

John: You realized it wasn't her.

Traci: I had to keep going. In my heart I thought -- I thought I was going to find her. Then I drove around for hours and every street looked the same and all the faces looked the same. I finally realized it was hopeless.

John: No, no, honey. We will find Colleen. You must not let yourself think anything else.

Traci: I'm trying. The longer she's gone, I have never been so terrified in all my life.

John: Come on now. Come on. Now obviously you had no idea she was going to react this way.

Traci: I should have. I should have known. You said we were getting into a dangerous situation and I didn't listen.

John: You felt you were doing the right thing.

Traci: It's no excuse. I watched her get closer and closer to Brad. I knew she was angry with Steve. I had no idea she would refuse to go back to New York with us much less run away. Daddy, she's out there somewhere all alone, and I don't know if Iím ever going to see her again, and it's all my fault.

John: No, baby. Come on. Nobody had any idea she would do something so drastic. Now please hear me. You must not blame yourself.

[Doorbell sounding]

Jack: What are you doing here?

Victor: Hello, Jack. I don't mean to intrude. I know this is a difficult time for you. I want you to know that I am aware of the situation.

Jack: And how would you be aware of that?

Victor: I want to know if I can help you in any way.

Jack: So you're here to help.

Victor: I think that's what I said.

Jack: Why would I question the purity of your motives?

Victor: I have a history with the young lady.

Jack: A history with Colleen.

Victor: You have forgotten, your entire family has forgotten that I am Colleen's godfather and I want to help.

Nicholas: Now you do realize Noah is never going to leave your stomach alone now that the baby trying to kick.

Sharon: I know. He's really hoping for a baby brother.

Nicholas: I know. Do you think he's going to send it back if it's a girl?

Sharon: I think Cassie will convince him otherwise.

Nicholas: Have you asked Katherine to be the godmother?

Sharon: No. Now that it's kicking.

Nicholas: Invite her into town for lunch and just ask her.

Sharon: You have the best ideas. I think I'm going to do that.

Nicholas: All right.

Sharon: I hope she can make it on such short notice.

Jack: Believe me, Victor, everything that can be done is being done right now.

Victor: You're certain?

Jack: Paul Williams is involved. The police have been contacted. Brad and Steve are in New York now.

Victor: Ashley and the baby are with him.

Jack: How would you know that?

Victor: She told me.

Jack: Ashley told you?

Victor: Ashley and I speak from time to time.

Jack: I bet you do.

Victor: It's not only your niece I'm concerned about. Your sister's in serious trouble.

Jack: Has Ashley confided in you?

Victor: She has. Get the chip off your shoulder and listen to what I have to say.

Jack: Go ahead.

Victor: I am very concerned about your sister.

Jack: The best thing you can do is stay the hell out of her life.

Victor: Do you know the trouble she is in?

Jack: She and Bradley are going through a rough spot right now.

Victor: If Brad Carlton had listened to your sister, your niece would be safe and sound right now in Genoa City instead of running around who knows where.

Lynne: That's the reason Paul can't see you.

Mary: When do you expect him?

Marissa: I'm not sure. We haven't heard from him today.

Mary: That's odd.

Lynne: There's no reason to worry.

Marissa: I have to run these letters to the mailbox. It was really nice seeing you again, Mrs. Williams.

Mary: Yes. Well, it's probably just as well. Given the fight we have, I have never seen him so angry.

Lynne: You haven't spoken to him since?

Mary: My son called me a hypocrite, said I encouraged him to have an affair with Isabella while he was still married to Christine. Good lord, Lynne. How could Paul think of such a thing? It was not my intent. His marriage was falling apart. She was coming into his life and she brought happiness again. Obviously, you and I disagree on that. Still it's a source of tension between us for quite a while. Now it's causing a problem between Paul and me. Oh, I just wish my son would understand that I only have his best interests at heart.

Lynne: Your son treasures his family. He's angry. He's hurting. But don't you ever doubt his love for you. I'm sure Paul wants to put an end to the distance as much as you do.

Mary: Oh, thank you, Lynne, for saying that.

Lynne: What is it?

Mary: You know, I was with Lauren Fenmore right before I came over here. We had a very disconcerting conversation.

Lynne: About Paul?

Mary: She had a million questions about the end of that relationship with Isabella. She also said that he seemed very upset the last time she saw him.

Lynne: Listen to me. Don't overreact to anything that Lauren Fenmore says. You know how she operates.

Mary: Oh, dear. I hope I haven't made matters worse. I hope I didn't do or say something that will make his life even more complicated.

Paul: I don't believe this. How could you let her take off like that?

Lauren: I told her to sit tight, at least until I came back. Look, I told Isabella not to make any rash decisions. But I guess after thinking things through, she still decided to go.

Paul: Did she talk about us? Did she mention our relationship?

Lauren: She was convinced you didn't have a future together. Don't tell me you don't agree the situation was impossible.

Paul: No matter how much my mind told me how much I should let this woman go, there was something in my heart that said there might be a possibility we could work all this out. I guess Isabella didn't feel the same way. I didn't mean to jump all over you. I know you're doing your best. It's just I am so frustrated.

Lauren: I'm so sorry that you're hurting.

Paul: Then again I have so many issues I have not resolved with Chris. Maybe I'm being totally insensitive asking Isabella to put up with my unfinished business. I guess this really is for the best. I guess it surprises me that it hurts to say it.

Lauren: I know Isabella felt the same way.

Paul: You did the right thing, Lauren. Thanks for being such a good friend.

Sharon: Katherine, hi. I hope I didn't keep you waiting long.

Katherine: I just arrived myself.

Sharon: How are you?

Katherine: I'm fine but I think the better question is how are you.

Sharon: You wouldn't believe what happened today.

Katherine: What?

Sharon: The baby kicked for the first time ever. Nicholas was with me. An incredible moment.

Katherine: That is incredible for you and your husband.

Sharon: He's been incredibly supportive.

Katherine: I am pleased about all of this. I truly am. Although I have to admit, Iím just a smidge curious. Is there any specific reason you wanted to have this little meeting?

Sharon: Yes. Yes, there actually is. I have a huge favor to ask you.

Jack: You don't need to concern yourself with this. Everything that can be done is being done. You want to see what's going on with Ashley to mess with her life again. I can't tell you how I resent that.

Victor: You're a bigger fool than I thought.

Jack: Leave now. You're only getting in the way.

Victor: Your niece's life is hanging in the balance. I have incredible resources I am willing to put in your power. Manpower, airplanes, anything to find this girl.

[Phone ringing]

Jack: Hello.

Officer: This is Officer Joe Pendleton. I'm looking for Traci Connelly.

Jack: Traci is not here. I am Jack Abbott, her brother. So what can you tell me?

Officer: Mr. Abbott, we've located a teenage girl, possibly Colleen.

Jack: Where is she?

Officer: Sir, can you meet me at noon at Memorial Hospital?

Jack: Oh, good lord. She's not --

Officer:  We need an I.D. She's at the morgue.

Jack: I'm on my way.

Victor: Bad news?

Jack: The police have a body at the morgue they think might be Colleen.

Victor: Are you serious?

Jack: I have to go.

Katherine: Well, my dear, you certainly do know how to pique the interest or curiosity of a senior citizen.

Sharon: Oh, go on. You're the youngest person I know. You have more zest for life than anyone. Which is why -- well, it's one of the reasons that -- see, we were hoping that you would be our new baby's godmother. We would be honored and delighted.

Katherine: That's the favor?

Sharon: We realize it's a lot of responsibility, but it would mean the world to us.

Katherine: Nothing would give me greater pleasure than to be part of that child's life. Oh, sweetheart, that is special, very, very special.

Sharon: Thank you so much.

Katherine: No, no. Thank you. My godchild. Just think about it. These past months I have become a grandmother and at this very moment I have become a godmother. You want to know something? I really am very blessed.

Victor: Hello, Traci. I didn't mean to startle you.

Traci: That's all right. I didn't expect to see you. What are you doing here?

Victor: I came by to offer my help.

Traci: You did?

Victor: Mm-hmm.

Traci: Thank you so much. Is anyone else here?

Victor: Not that I know of, no.

Traci: Who let you in?

Victor: Your brother Jack was here.

Traci: I just spoke with him. Where did he go?

Victor: He went out.

Traci: Where?

Victor: To see someone.

Traci: Victor, does this have something to do with Colleen? Victor, please. Please, can you tell me where Jack went and what does this have to do with my daughter?
