Traci: Brad, thank you very much for the offer. I'm thinking maybe you're right. Maybe Colleen and I both need to stay on here.
Ashley: Hi, guys.
Brad: Hi, Ash.
Ashley: Hi. Sorry if I interrupted.
Traci: No, no. Brad, would you mind very much? I think I should talk to Ashley alone.
Brad: Sure, sure, no problem. I'll go pick up Colleen. She's waiting at your dad's house.
Traci: So, how much did you overhear?
Traci: I guess I know what you're thinking.
Ashley: You agreed Colleen should leave this house and then I hear you accepting his invitation to stay here with Colleen?
Traci: Ashley, there's a reason.
Ashley: It does make you wonder though, Traci.
Ashley: You have been going through a lot. You are emotionally wrung out.
Traci: What is your point?
Ashley: Are you sure you're thinking clearly?
Billy: You ready to head to the coffee house?
Mackenzie: Yeah, that's a good idea.
Billy: Need to patch things up.
Mackenzie: When did you become a mind reader?
Billy: I have all sorts of psychic powers.
Mackenzie: You think so, huh?
Billy: I see you drinking lemonade and eating ham sandwiches.
Colleen: Actually they're turkey though.
Billy: Mrs. Martinez to the rescue.
Colleen: She says you're skin and bones and you better eat them or he is.
Billy: I'm surprised to see you here. I thought you left a while ago.
Colleen: Then I came back. Mom came to town for a visit and Brad dropped me off so they could talk in private.
Billy: They needed some space.
Colleen: I guess. I'm waiting to hear when I can go back over there. Can you give me a ride, maybe?
Billy: Do you think it'll be long?
Colleen: They've been over there a while.
Mackenzie: I still want to catch Raul and Rianna, if that's not a problem.
Billy: Sure, no problem. I'll be over there in a while.
Mackenzie: Bye, Colleen.
J.T.: I don't want to cause any trouble. Is Raul around?
J.T.: Is he coming back?
Rianna: He was never here.
J.T.: Oh. No offense, Rianna, but you don't look so hot. I heard from Mac you and Raul are talking. You making any progress?
Rianna: Yeah, in the wrong direction.
J.T.: I'm sorry to hear that.
Rianna: Are you?
J.T.: Can I get you something, some coffee, juice?
Rianna: J.T., I really don't care.
Matt: I'm a part of you.
Tricia: I don't trust that part. I don't know. I'm afraid. Look, just shut up, and I'll tell you when I'm ready to listen. I said shut up! Dad, you startled me.
Keith: Tricia, what's going on?
Tricia: What do you mean?
Keith: You were arguing with someone.
Tricia: You could actually hear me?
Keith: It was as if there was someone in the room. You were having a very unpleasant conversation.
Tricia: I didn't realize. I was probably thinking out loud.
Keith: It was very frightening.
Tricia: Dad you just woke up.
Keith: I know what I heard.
Tricia: I think you're making too big a deal out of this.
Keith: Maybe. We'll let your doctor decide that. I'll talk to her tomorrow.
Matt: No, bad idea.
Keith: Tricia, honey, what's wrong? Something's going on with you.
Malcolm: Come on in, partner. It's open. There he is. Hey little man! Hey. Give me the shake, man. Give me the shake. What's shaking, little man?
Nate: I caught three fish today at camp.
Malcolm: Get out of town.
Nate: They were too little so we had to throw them back.
Malcolm: We'll grab the corn meal and fry them up. Did you eat yet?
Nate: I knew you would have dinner.
Malcolm: I have your favorite dinner.
Nate: I'm starving!
Malcolm: Take your starving Marvin little self upstairs and wash those hands, and dinner will be ready in a hot minute.
Malcolm: Olivia, I thought Mamie was going to bring him by.
Olivia: That was the plan. Then I decided that I should bring him. Let me tell you something, Malcolm. You may have won this round. But if you think I'm going to disappear into the woodwork, you are sadly mistaken.
Victoria: I had no idea that cooking was so easy.
Ryan: Gives me time to be alone with my gorgeous women.
Victoria: If I was cooking, nobody would be within miles of this place. Hey.
Victor: Well, hello there.
Victoria: This is a surprise.
Victor: Are you going to let me in? Hello, Ryan.
Victor: Nice to see you.
Ryan: Nice to see you, too.
Victor: I hope I didn't come at a wrong time.
Ryan: Not at all. Would you like a drink?
Ryan: We have iced tea. If you'd like something stronger --
Victor: Iced tea is great. It's damn hot outside.
Victoria: You're the first family member to stop by. Do you want to stay for a while?
Victor: If you don't mind.
Ryan: Make yourself at home.
Victor: Thank you.
Victoria: I assume you're here for some other reason than to just socialize.
Mackenzie: So how did things go with Raul?
Rianna: Not well.
Mackenzie: It's going to take a little more time to work things out?
Rianna: It's not like that. It's not something we can talk out until it's better.
Mackenzie: We can go to the movies tonight or something --
Rianna: It's not going to help. Thank you. It's over. Raul and I are finished.
Billy: I didn't know Traci was back. When did she get here?
Colleen: Earlier today.
Billy: What's this big powwow with Brad?
Colleen: I'm hoping that --
Billy: Hang on. Hey, Raul. What are you doing here, man?
Raul: Hello to you, too.
Colleen: I'm going to go wait inside.
Billy: Hey, you don't look too good.
Raul: I didn't want to go home. I don't want to go out so I came here.
Billy: That's fine. Glad to see you, man. I know you were talking to Rianna.
Raul: Look, Billy, I want to hang out. I want to go for a swim. Do you have a problem with that?
Billy: No, of course not.
Malcolm: Olivia, you back off, don't worry. I would never expect you to be careful of that.
Olivia: Just so we understand each other perfectly.
Malcolm: I guess we do.
Nate: I'm ready. Let's eat.
Malcolm: You know what, cool breeze? There's some soup over there you can get started on.
Olivia: Nate, honey, if you need anything, anything at all, call me on the cell.
Nate: That's okay, Mom, I think I have everything. If I don't, Dad will take care of me.
Olivia: All right then. I'll see you tomorrow. Good night.
Olivia: I wrote down a few things you might need to know.
Malcolm: Olivia, I remember how to be a father. Stop acting like I'm some babysitter you hired for the first time.
Nate: Hey, Dad, you want to look at the new comic book while we eat?
Tricia: Dad, there's nothing wrong with me. I'm not losing it. I don't think it's necessary to talk to Dr. Burns about this.
Keith: I think she needs to hear about this.
Tricia: Fine. If it makes you feel better, I will tell her myself.
Keith: I want to go too.
Tricia: You don't trust me to tell her myself? That's what I do in therapy. I tell my doctor everything.
Keith: You said you didn't realize you were talking out loud.
Tricia: It was nothing.
Keith: You were yelling at someone to shut up. You were telling them you didn't trust them, that you felt afraid. Please, Trish, you have to realize how this sounded.
Tricia: I thought I was in a supportive environment not in a place where I say the wrong word you turn me in to the authority.
Keith: That's part of my job. Yes, I'm here to support you but also to keep an eye on you, be an objective observer.
Tricia: There's nothing wrong. I'm fine.
Keith: You have come an incredibly long --
Tricia: When you think of the impact this could have on my therapy.
Keith: Tricia, why are you fighting me on this?! There might be something wrong with your attention.
Tricia: What's wrong with taking my word and not dragging my doctor into this?
Mackenzie: You and Raul broke up? You two have been talking all day at the boutique. What happened? How could you be finished?
Rianna: I was at the boutique because it's my job. For Raul and me, it was over last night. It's what he did to me after you and Billy left.
Mackenzie: What happened?
Rianna: He was all over me.
Mackenzie: What do you mean?
Rianna: He insisted I have sex with him.
Mackenzie: You can't be serious.
Rianna: Yes, I am.
Mackenzie: That doesn't sound like Raul.
Rianna: You think I'm making this up? He wasn't subtle. It was disgusting. You were wondering why I --It's a perfect romantic moment. It's not what it was like. He couldn't stand the thought of me with J.T. He insisted I sleep with him to prove my feelings like if I loved him, it would make a difference.
Mackenzie: I don't mean to question you. Don't you think there's some other reason for how he's acting?
Rianna: I'm not going to sit here and listen to you defend him. You know what? I just want to be left alone.
Rianna: I'm serious, Mac, go.
Mackenzie: I'm sorry. Passion rules what do you think I'm going to do?
Traci: Ashley, I think I'm thinking as clearly as any one could in this situation.
Ashley: This situation is unbelievably complex.
Traci: Yes, it is. Ultimately, I'm the one that has to make the choices both for myself and for my daughter.
Ashley: Will you please tell me what changed? You were convinced it wasn't in Colleen's best interest to develop a strong bond with Brad. What happened?
Traci: He gave me food for thought. Now that I hear both of you I can see it's not quite as black and white as I thought it was. I think I should find out what's going on.
Ashley: Basically, you want the situation to continue.
Traci: So I can gather more information.
Ashley: You can't do that yet.
Traci: With Colleen. It lets me figure this out. Anyway, I changed my mind. I realized it wasn't my place.
Neil: It went all right, dropping Nate off?
Olivia: It was the hardest thing I had to do, dropping Nate off. I hope there was no damage done.
Neil: Why don't you let this go for now? If you need to talk about it, then we'll talk about it. But given a choice, I would love to spend some quality time with you.
Malcolm: The way you eat, you're going to turn into an enchilada.
Nate: We going to play cards tonight?
Malcolm: We can do that. Before we do that, I want to ask you a question.
Nate: About what?
Malcolm: Remember that journal I gave you way back?
Malcolm: Do you still write in it?
Nate: All the time but I don't have to anymore. I see you now. I can tell you.
Malcolm: I have news for you. I want you to keep writing.
Nate: Why, Daddy?
Malcolm: We can look back and laugh at all the good times we had together.
Nate: Some of the stuff I have in there isn't very funny.
Malcolm: Like what?
Nate: It's about Mom, the way she's mad at you. I keep telling her you didn't ask me to lie to her.
Malcolm: Listen, tough guy. Your mom getting mad at me isn't your issue. Let your mom and me deal with that, okay? Hey, big shot, I know this is a tough situation for everybody. We don't have to keep secrets from each other.
Nate: I wish we could be together every day.
Malcolm: It makes me so happy to have you by my side. I get to hug you and hang with you. We don't have to worry about nobody but the two of us.
Traci: Ashley, thank you for getting me to come out here. It was the right thing to do.
Ashley: You really feel that way?
Traci: Yes, of course I do. I know I startled you by changing my mind. All we want here is what's best for Colleen.
Ashley: That's what you think this is.
Traci: I have a lot of things I have to weigh here. It might just be possible that a closer relationship could help Colleen. He's already helping her with her attitude toward Steve. Brad is making her understand that even good people can make mistakes.
Ashley: If you salvage your marriage with Steve --
Traci: Brad might bridge the gap.
Ashley: Tell me now if you and Steve don't make it.
Traci: All I'm trying to tell you, Ashley, I would like to stay on here with Colleen and try to assess things. This is your house. You have to be comfortable with it. If you're not, I will say the word. I will take Colleen and move her back to Dad's house tonight.
Colleen: Mom! I missed you so much.
Traci: Yeah, me too.
Colleen: I was so glad you called. Brad didn't tell me anything. I hope you can stay here too.
Traci: We were just talking about that.
Ashley: Of course I'm fine with that.
Colleen: Wow. All of us together. This is going to be great.
Traci: Yeah. Thank you both.
Brad: Our pleasure, Trace.
Traci: I have to say I'm beat and you and I have a whole lot of catching up to do. You want to head upstairs and we'll get settled in for the night?
Colleen: Sure. Good night, everyone.
Brad: Sweet dreams.
Traci: Thank you.
Brad: Good night, Trace.
Billy: Hey, man, that was some workout. I mean, you should you know, try out for the swim team this year, get a scholarship somewhere. I'll put sandwiches over here.
Raul: I'm not hungry. What the hell is it with you?
Billy: Raul, how's your blood sugar, man? When's the last time you ate?
Raul: I don't know.
Billy: You're going to eat now. We don't have to talk about Rianna or anything like that. You are going to take care of yourself, you got that? I'm not going to take no for an answer. Chow down.
Olivia: This was a great idea. Thank you.
Neil: I come up with one once in a blue moon, don't I?
Olivia: Mm-hmm. Out with a handsome gentleman, having a great meal. No pager to answer, no emergencies. None that I know of. I'm going to try not telling you about last night. On to something more pleasant.
Neil: Like the weather, hmm? I think it's going to be cooler tomorrow.
Olivia: Is that the best you can do?
Neil: It feels a little rusty.
Olivia: Has it been that long?
Neil: Too long.
Olivia: I forgot our friendship is so much fun. You would see me.
Neil: We would share a bottle of wine and yak all night long.
Olivia: Time would fly.
Neil: Like it is now.
Olivia: Do you know how late it is? I hope Malcolm -- sorry.
Neil: Don't be. I completely understand. Here's the prescription for the rest of the evening. I want you to relax. I want you to enjoy yourself. That is not a request. That's an order.
Olivia: Really. Well, since you're so determined to enjoy myself, you should take me out on the dance floor.
Neil: I thought you'd never ask.
Neil: What's that?
Olivia: I feel like a woman again, not an ex-wife or a parent or the villain. Just a woman.
Victor: Actually, if you don't mind, I'd like to talk about what we discussed earlier when I expressed concerned about your safety.
Ryan: Because of Tricia's reaction to us moving in together.
Victoria: She doesn't even know about it yet.
Victor: It may be true but it's better to err on the side of caution.
Victoria: You have done something.
Victor: I instructed security to bar Tricia from the premises. Now I'd like both of you to consider moving back to the ranch.
Ryan: Victor, with all due respect, we're starting a new life together. We'd like to do it in our own place.
Victor: All right. I expected that response. So I'll beef up security here.
Victoria: In this building?
Victor: In this building.
Ryan: Would that have anything to do with the construction going on downstairs?
Victor: It would have everything to do with the construction downstairs.
Billy: I don't know about you, man, but I feel a whole lot better. That turkey sandwich really hit the spot. Look, Raul, I know you don't want to talk, but are you okay?
Raul: Yeah. Thanks for the food. I really appreciate it.
Billy: I don't mean to keep hassling you, but still friends?
Raul: I just want to hang out. You want to hang with me, that’s fine. Don't expect some deep conversation, okay?
Billy: I'm cool.
Neil: I'm sorry. Don't blame me. Blame my two left feet.
Olivia: Okay. Exactly what I needed.
Neil: I have to admit something to you. You're really good for me too.
Olivia: I know it's improper to ask but is this a one-time thing? Or are we going to be seeing more of each other?
Neil: Absolutely we can. I'd like that as well.
Olivia: It would mean a lot to me to be that close to you again. You could be that for me again.
Neil: And you for me.
Malcolm: Nobody concentrates like me. I need a ten. I feel a max -- wait a minute. I think I saw it over there.
Malcolm: What do you mean what? That big yawn.
Nate: I'm not tired. Let's watch a movie.
Malcolm: Slow down, kid. Don't you think it's getting late?
Nate: I have all these things I want to do with you. I wrote a whole list.
Malcolm: I have news for you. I have a whole list too. We'll take both lists and knock them all out.
Nate: My list is pretty long.
Malcolm: You know like they say, where there's a will, there's a way. Come on, let me put to you bed.
Nate: Five more minutes.
Malcolm: Okay. Five more minutes and not a second more, okay? Come over here, sit next to your dad. Okay. So what's happening? I want to hear about this list you got going. See what it's like mine.
Malcolm: Like you did at camp though we're going to catch us some big fish. What else?
Nate: Baseball game.
Malcolm: Catch those Cubbies. Get that foul ball you been looking for. What else?
Nate: Try my new skateboard.
Malcolm: That would be cool. And what else? Hello. Nate?
Ashley: This worked out well. Here we are, one, big, happy family.
Brad: Ash, you're the one that asked Traci to come back here. I hope it was in the spirit of what's best.
Ashley: You mean promoting my own agenda?
Brad: I hope your agenda is that things turn out well for everyone.
Ashley: Thank you.
Brad: To that end, you have to be flexible. We all do. This is not a clear cut situation.
Ashley: Maybe there aren't any answers, I don't know.
Brad: Maybe not. Maybe it's time we stop looking.
Ashley: How do you view the situation at the moment?
Brad: Well, you gave Traci, your version; I gave her mine. She wants an opportunity to see things for herself. That's a logical, adult way to do it.
Ashley: I see it's logical for Traci to observe her daughter's relationship with you. I do see that.
Brad: She's calling the shots. You really have a problem with this.
Ashley: What if really matters if I did?
Brad: It doesn't have to be that way.
Ashley: You know what? I'm really tired. I need some sleep, okay?
Mackenzie: Hey, turn it down! Raul, I didn't realize --
Raul: Is it a problem?
Mackenzie: No, no. Never mind.
Raul: You know what? I'm outta here.
Billy: You don't seem too surprised he was acting that way.
Mackenzie: I talked to Rianna.
Billy: I couldn't get a word out of Raul. How bad is it?
Mackenzie: Worse than we thought.
Billy: Why? You don't have to tell me. Tell me when you're ready.
Mackenzie: I feel sorry for them. I can't believe this is happening, Billy.
J.T.: Fresh cup of coffee. I didn't want to interrupt you guys.
Rianna: I wish you would have. Mac tried to justify everything and I just couldn't stand it.
J.T.: Something to do with you and Raul? You know, Ri, I picked up enough to realize I may have had part in whatever's going on.
Rianna: J.T., it has nothing to do with you. It's all about Raul.
J.T.: Well, I'm sorry you're upset. I'm happy for once it's not my fault. I don't want to hurt you again. It seems you've been hurt enough.
Victor: For your information, this afternoon I had Paul Williams do a security check. I'm changing all locks on every door coming into this building. Any visitor has to check in with security.
Ryan: How did you talk management into this?
Victor: That's another story.
Victoria: You didn't.
Victor: Yes, I did.
Victoria: You bought the building?
Victor: Don't misconstrue that as my trying to take over your life. I'm only concerned with you being safe. You understand that, don't you?
Ryan: Yeah, we sure do.
Victor: Having said that, I will leave you to a good evening. I'll let myself out.
Victoria: All right.
Victor: Good night, sweetie. Ryan, nice to see you.
Ryan: Thank you.
Victor: Thank you for the iced tea.
Ryan: You bet. One thing's for sure, we better not be late on the rent. Your father never ceases to amaze me. Are you okay?
Victoria: Yeah. The fact that his instincts told him he had to go this far makes me a little nervous.
Tricia: You're still convinced something weird is going on?
Keith: Tricia enough. I'm going to forget about the shower and go to bed. I'll be better in the morning. We'll discuss it then. Sweetheart, please know that I'm doing this because I love you.
Tricia: Stop sneaking up on me like that.
Matt: I can't believe what just happened. Why weren't you more careful? You had to start yelling like that?
Tricia: It's your fault. You made me.
Matt: Didn't Dr. Burns warn you for blaming others for your mistakes?
Tricia: I thought my dad was getting better. He looks terrible now.
Matt: Did you hear what he was saying? Tomorrow morning he's going to tell your doctors that you're off your nut.
Tricia: I can handle it.
Matt: Bull. You can't let him do this. Once they hear his side of the story, they will want to run all kinds of tests. What happens when they find out you haven't taken your pill?
Tricia: I don't know.
Matt: This time they'll have you committed. This time they won't let you out.
Tricia: I'll talk to him tomorrow and convince him.
Matt: There's no way you will convince him of anything, Tricia. When he wakes up tomorrow morning and he makes that call, they'll lock you away for the rest of your life. If he wakes up.
