Caleb: But it'll never be successful, not as long as Joshua's trying to run things. I'll never work with someone like him again. Not in this lifetime.

Narrator: As we were putting together the final cut of this "Inside The Music," we received word that band manager Joshua Temple has been found dead. The cause of death is not known at this time.

Caleb: Looking a bit peaked, Josh. Must be the pressures of the business.

Narrator: Or were there darker forces at work?

Joshua: You can't touch me, not as long as I have this ring.

Caleb: That's true, nor can any other vampire.

Joshua: And I know Alison wouldn't. I've made sure of that.

Caleb: You know what would come in handy right about now? A slayer.

Rafe: Yeah, it's about time. I was starting to think you forgot about me.

Alison: Oh, my God. You're alive.

Rafe: Goodbye, Joshua.

[Joshua screams]

Rafe: Die!

[Rafe's voice echoes]

[Rafe coughs]

Alison: You're here. You're really here.

Rafe: Are you ok?

Alison: I -- I'm so sorry. I did this to you. I'm so sorry.

Caleb: We have to get the ring. Where is it? Where's the ring?

Jack: Come on, knock it off, all right?

Reese: Hey!

Jack: Knock it off.

Jamal: Come on, man! Damn.

[Crash]

Jack: Ah, come on. Dude, you all right?

Jamal: Yeah, I'm fine, man. What's up?

Jack: Heard the news?

Jamal: They went in there and saved Alison and killed the big bat. Long live whoever.

Jack: Well, hey, come on, you know?

Jamal: Cheers.

Jack: Vampires -- no more vampires. No more fangs, right?

Jamal: Right. Yeah, right, that's what I thought.

Jack: There.

Jamal: But it's not happening.

Jack: What?

Reese: Joshua wasn't a true blood.

Jamal: So everyone he turns stays that way, right?

Jack: Ah, damn.

Jamal: I'm going to be like this forever, Jack. Hundreds of years from now, I'm going to be this freak. So you tell me, what am I going to do? Hmm? What am I going to do?

Lucy: Well?

Ian: I don't know, maybe we need to try again.

Lucy: Really? You are teasing me, aren't you? Don't do that. Don't be so --

Ian: Enough with hitting me.

Lucy: So mean. Well, this is serious. This is very important to me. Come on. Tell me.

Ian: I feel better.

Lucy: Really?

Ian: I feel great.

Lucy: Me, too. Oh, I love that. So you -- you feel better, and I feel so much better, so that means we feel better together.

Ian: What?

Lucy: I must be back because all my instincts are screaming at me.

Ian: What are you talking about?

Lucy: I don't know. I don't know what I'm talking about, but something's happened. Something really big. There has been a major shift in the forces.

Caleb: I kept my end of the bargain. You got your girl back. I don't like being cheated, Rafe, and I don't like being lied to. So what's it going to be? Do I get the ring back, or is this little war between you and me going to continue?

Rafe: Ok. Here's the deal, Caleb. we don't have the ring, ok? I don't know where it is. You know what? Here's a thought. Maybe it followed Joshua back to hell. But right now, Alison and I are going to get out of here, ok? Come on.

Caleb: No one's going anywhere.

Caleb: Not until I get what's mine.

[Captioning made possible by ABC, Inc.]

Ian: Lucy?

Lucy: Oh, my God. I can feel it.

Ian: You can feel what?

Lucy: I don't know. I don't know. I can't put my finger on it, but I can feel it. That means my radar is back. That means my instincts are back. That means my powers are really back!

Ian: I know. That's what I was telling you.

Lucy: What? What? What do you mean? You do?

Ian: When we were making love, well, you know.

Lucy: I know. It was amazing.

Ian: Yeah. Yeah, it was. And now --

Lucy: Hmm?

Ian: All my vampire symptoms are gone.

Lucy: Really? You mean, like before, before I got sick?

Ian: Yeah.

Lucy: You saved my life, you know.

Ian: Now you're saving mine.

Lucy: I'm glad I'm your medicine. Very glad.

Ian: What an incredible night.

Lucy: Yeah. Which -- you know, it just might get a little better.

Ian: Yeah? Is that possible?

Lucy: Mm-hmm. I -- I just have a surprise for you that I -- I think you'll like, something you need and something that's long overdue.

Elizabeth: Oh, excuse me. I'm sorry.

Elizabeth: Is this seat taken?

[Kevin sighs]

Elizabeth: Ok, I can see you're still angry with me.

Kevin: No, Elizabeth, being angry would mean that I actually give a damn about something.

Elizabeth: You know, I know exactly what you're doing, Kevin, by saying all of these cruel things. You're trying to push me away.

Kevin: I need another drink.

Elizabeth: Listen, I know how hard everything has been for you, everything. And especially now that Lucy's living with Ian.

Kevin: Elizabeth, sweet Elizabeth, is there really any point to this?

Elizabeth: We just have to be willing to open up our hearts and not be afraid, and then we can get back what we lost. Who knows -- it might even be better than ever.

Kevin: You know what? You're absolutely right.

Jack: Look, Reese, can you give us a minute? We just need to kind of talk.

Reese: Look, try to not let it get you down. Being a vamp can be pretty cool. Take it from me -- I've been there.

Jamal: Ok, Reese.

Jack: Hey. What can I say? She means well, right?

Jamal: She sure does. So what's up? You still serve tequila in this joint, or what, dude?

Jack: Oh, we serve lots of tequila.

Jamal: Hit me up.

Jack: Right here.

Rafe: You will not keep us prisoner. Now, you and I, we might not be able to kill each other, but I can still get to you in other ways.

Caleb: Not a good time to threaten me.

Rafe: Ok, well, that's just a reminder.

Caleb: I'll get the ring back.

Rafe: Oh, you will, huh? The ring. The ring. I am so sick of hearing about the ring! Where do you think it is? You think she's hiding it? You think she's hiding it in this dress, huh? Wait, here, you want to check my shirt, huh, Caleb? You want to check my shirt? Ah! Damn! Where the hell do you think it is?

Alison: I did this to you. Rafe, I did this to you.

Rafe: No. No, it's ok.

Alison: I'm so sorry.

Livvie: Yeah, that's right, Alison. Rafe would have been dead if it wasn't for us.

Rafe: It's ok.

Livvie: We saved him, and right now, I'm pretty sorry we did.

Alison: I'm so sorry.

Livvie: When are you going to open your eyes and see what she's become, huh? She stabbed you, Rafe. She almost killed you for a vampire.

Rafe: Ok --

Livvie: You don't believe me? Look at her. Huh? Look at what she's wearing -- or rather isn't wearing -- a red lace dress? Stilettos? I doubt she was planning on a night with Joshua playing chess in that outfit. Isn't that right, Alison?

Ian: That was it, huh? That was your big surprise - Christina coming home?

Lucy: That was not supposed to be the surprise. It's a good thing Gail called from the car, from the drive, or else she might have caught us -- you know.

Ian: So what's the surprise?

Lucy: It -- it's not that. She's asleep. It's -- it's something different.

Ian: Different?

Lucy: Mm-hmm.

Ian: Is it hidden on your person somewhere? Getting warm?

Lucy: Um -- no, but I'm getting warm. Would you -- would you stop? Please, I want this to make you happy. I mean, I hope you like the surprise, so sit down. Just sit, sit.

Ian: All right.

Lucy: Ok. And close your eyes. Just close your eyes. Ok, close your eyes. They're not closed very tightly.

Ian: They're closed.

Lucy: Ok. You ready?

Ian: Mm-hmm.

Lucy: Voila.

Ian: I can open?

Lucy: Open.

Ian: Oh. This is mine. A picture of my son, Danny. Thank you very much. It's lovely.

Lucy: I called Tim. He's bringing Danny home.

Ian: For a visit?

Lucy: No, not for a visit. He's bringing Danny home for good, to stay. You're going to have your son back.

Ian: Um -- you shouldn't have done that. I wish to God you hadn't done that.

Jack: All right, man. You're getting there. Keep going.

Jamal: Oh, no, no. Ain't enough tequila in this world to get me where I need to be, baby boy.

Jack: Well, you know something? I've been thinking.

Jamal: Whoa, whoa -- that could be kind of dangerous, now.

Jack: I know --

Jamal: I don't know about your thinking.

Jack: No, I'm serious. Look, you got a lousy break. So have a lot of other people in this place. Look around -- vampires, mortals, and whoever else came to town looking for answers. Jamal, listen to me maybe there aren't any answers.

Jamal: What -- what are you saying? You're not making no sense.

Jack: I'm saying life is what it is. It's what you make it. And, you know what? Your dreams don't have to die. You just might have to change them.

Jamal: Right, so you expect me just to roll with the punches. Is that what you're saying?

Jack: Or you can sit back and feel sorry for yourself -- or play the cards you've been dealt.

Jamal: What I'm saying -- I wanted my life to be simple. Just ride my bikes, you know, build my business, get me a fine little lady or something like that, make a family, some kids. You know what I'm saying?

Jack: Right, I hear you.

Stacey: Jamal. Long time, no see.

Jamal: Stacey. Hey, hey, how you doing? I've been busy. What's going on?

Stacey: Yeah. You ready to party, or what?

Jamal: Actually, you know what, Stacey? Nothing against you or anything like that, but I was really never into this vampire stuff, so can you just step off?

Stacey: What? Am I not good enough for you anymore?

Jamal: Well, you take it however you want to take it, all right?

Stacey: Is that what you're saying?

Man: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Is there a problem here?

Stacey: Jamal here doesn't think us vampires are good for him anymore.

Jamal: Oh, my God.

Man: Is that so?

Jamal: Yeah. So what? What do you want to do about it? You want to do something about it?

Man: Oh, yeah. I've been itching for this fight, pal. Hey, guys. This one thinks he's too good for us.

Woman: Oh, really?

Man: Really?

[Crowd murmurs]

Jack: Everybody knock it off! New rules.

Rafe: Don't listen to her.

Alison: I'm sorry.

Rafe: It's ok.

Alison: I need to go.

Livvie: No, I don't think so. Not until you hand over that ring.

Alison: I don't have it! I already told you that!

Alison: Let me go.

Caleb: Go!

Rafe: Alison!

Livvie: What are you doing? They're going to get away with the ring.

Caleb: She doesn't have it.

Livvie: How can you be so sure?

Caleb: Because Rafe would have given it up to save her life.

Livvie: Ok, what if he has it, though? What if he has it? What if he hid it, and now they're going to go and use it?

Caleb: Then they both would die.

Livvie: Ok, what? Are you telling me that I'm going to take care of Rafe and you're going to actually kill Alison?

Caleb: If Rafe understood the true power of the ring, I would do whatever's necessary.

Livvie: Including killing Alison?

Caleb: If she had it and she knew how to use it, wouldn't she have wished you dead already?

Livvie: Ok. Ok, all right. If she doesn't have it, then -- then who do you think does?

Caleb: I don't know! I don't know. But you know what? I'm going to find out. And when I do, I'm going to bury them.

Lucy: What is it? Why -- why don't you want Danny to come home?

Ian: Of course I want him to come home. There's nothing I want more in the world, but I'm -- I'm still -- I'm -- God.

Lucy: I know. I know that. But when we are together, when we make love --

Ian: My symptoms go away for a little while.

Lucy: Yes, yes. But even at your worst, when I was sick and I couldn't help you, you never, ever, ever really lost control. Now, Danny needs you. And I know you need him very much.

Ian: I know you're right.

Lucy: I am right because it's wrong for you two to be apart. It's wrong, and you need to be together, and you're his dad.

Ian: Damn right.

Lucy: You're --

Ian: He should be here, with us.

Lucy: Right. He's your son, and you're his dad.

Ian: Yeah.

Lucy: Ok, then I promise you that everything will work out, and I will make it work out, I promise.

Ian: How do you do that?

Lucy: What? What?

Ian: How do you make everything possible?

Lucy: Because I believe we can do this. We can be a real family.

Ian: That brings us to Kevin, doesn't it?

Lucy: Yeah. I called the divorce attorney.

Ian: Mm-hmm. Kevin's not going to leave us alone. He never has.

Lu:: I know, but I believe he really is starting to let go. And if he doesn't, then I need to let him know that I have let go.

Rafe: Alison! Alison! Alison, it's ok! Alison! Alison!

Alison: No.

Rafe: Stop. Stop, ok? Stop running away. Please? Please?

Alison: You have to get away from me.

Rafe: No.

Alison: Please. Rafe, you have to go. You just let me go.

Rafe: No, I am not letting you go.

Alison: Look at you. Look at what I did to you.

Rafe: It wasn't you.

Alison: I took out a knife, and I stabbed you.

Rafe: That wasn't you. That wasn't you!

Alison: It was me. And no matter if it was Joshua or the drugs or whatever, it doesn't matter. I let him. I let Joshua use me to destroy you. How can you ever forgive me for something like that?

Rafe: What are you talking about? There's no need to forgive you. I -- I love you. I will always love you. Alison, I --

Alison: You shouldn't -- you shouldn't -- there's something you need to know. I need to tell you, ok? Please.

Rafe: No, you stop. You don't --

Alison: I need to. I do need to tell you because if I don't tell you right now, I might not ever tell you the rest of my life, and I have to.

Rafe: Ok, that's fine, but not now.

Alison: Tonight --

Rafe: You don't need to do this.

Alison: Tonight I almost gave myself to Joshua, all of me. Do you hear what I'm saying? I almost gave him every single thing that he wanted.

Rafe: No.

Alison: I was ready to become his bride.

Rafe: No.

Alison: I'm sorry.

Caleb: Well, I see you made some changes to the place.

Livvie: It was supposed to be a celebration.

Caleb: A celebration?

Livvie: You getting the ring back, us having it all, just like we talked about. I'm sorry. I know you're angry with me, and you have every right to be -- you trusting me with your father's ring, and I let you down. I lost it to Joshua.

Caleb: I already told you, I don't blame you for that.

Livvie: But a part of you does. I can see it in your eyes. You can't help it. But it's ok because I'm going to get the ring back. I'm going to make this better I will.

Caleb: Olivia --

Livvie: Please. I know how much this means to you. And if I have to go to Joshua's and turn that place upside down to find the ring, that's what I'm going to do. I'm not going to rest until I find it.

Caleb: You don't have to do that.

Livvie: Yes, I do. Because I'm afraid if I -- if I don't, I'm afraid you're going to stop loving me.

Stay tuned for scenes from the next "Port Charles: Desire."

On the next "Port Charles" --

Reese: Who was that?

Jack: It's our newest employee.

Reese: Strange.

Rafe: I love you.

Alison: You need to get away from me.

Rafe: No.

Alison: Yes. Rafe, please, just go.

Lucy: What do you want?

Kevin: You. I want you.
