Jack: Oh, man, do I need a day like this, a day just to relax, kick back, break for a few hours. If only I could figure out where I put those -- those plates.
Tess: Ready, jack?
Jack: Yeah, yeah. You know what? Let me go grab those -- whoa. Um, where -- where did you get that outfit?
Tess: You like it?
Jack: Uh, that's livvie'S.
Tess: What's wrong? Isn't it pretty?
Ck: No, no. No, you look beautiful. It's just that -- I don't know, tess, I kind of like your clothes.
Tess: But you loved livvie, didn't you? You don't -- you don't want me so much like her?
Tess: We look the same. Jack, maybe we are the same.
Jack: No, no, tess, you're nothing like livvie. You are tess. You're nothing like her.
Rafe: It's time to wake up, sleepyhead.
Ison: Mm-hmm. Hmm.
Rafe: Come on.
Alison: You're already dressed?
Rafe: Yeah, well, the day's already started. It's probably a lot later than you think.
Alison: Well, it's still morning for me, at least for a little bit. Hmm. Oh. No. I almost forgot.
Alison: My -- my fitting.
Rafe: Your what?
Alison: My wedding dress fitting. I was supposed to -- supposed to go with my mother.
Rafe: Yoyou invited her?
Alison: Yeah, well, you know, she said that she was sorry and she ripped up the contract and everything, and I know it's not about the money now, so -- and plus, I've always had the fantasy, you know, about --
rafe: That you wanted your mother to help you pick out your wedding dress. I know. Is he coming, too?
Alison: Rafe, you said that you would lay off of stephen.
Rafe: I know. Ok, fine. I will. It's just that it's him, all right? I know it. I see it.
Alison: You see what?
Rafe: I see -- I know you look at him and you see stephen clay and he's this big hero because of the way he treated you and all the good things that he did to help you on the plane crash. Ok, I know that. But I just -- hmm.
Alison: Go ahead, say it.
Rafe: I just see caleb the blood-sucking vampe,e, ok, and I'm turning into the only one around here who does, so I'm just going to -- fine, I -- letting it go.
Alison: Right. Rafe, I know you better than that. I know that you don't just let anything gt. So what are you up to now?
Elizabeth: Oh, god, stephen. You have no idea how good this feels.
Stephen: Oh, I think I do. Believe me, in a few minutes, you're going to forget what "good" means.
Elizabeth: Promise me it'll alwayse like this.
Stephen: I can't do that.
Stephen: Because if it's just this good, you won't know how much better it can be.
Elizabeth: Oh. Oh, yes.
Livvie: Now what am I going to do?
[Ctitioning made possible by abc, inc.]
Alison: Wawant the truth.
Rafe: No, that's enough about stephen clay.
Alison: Rafe --
rafe: Never heard of the guy.
Alison: What about caleb?
Alison: Seriously, come on.
Rafe: Seriously? Seriously, it's almost christmas and that means our wedding is right around the corner. And I think that you deserve my complete atteion.
Alison: Hmm. I'm so tired. I don't want to get up right now.
Rafe: Ok. Why don't you lie down. You deserve it. You've earned it. I'll wake you up in about 20 minutes, then you can go meet your mother.
Alison: Ok. Hmm, love my bed. Don't let me sleep too long, ok?
Rafe: I won'T.
Alison one more thing.
Rafe: What's that?
Alison: Thank you.
Rafe: I'm just going to lie close to you and hold on to you until you fall asleep, ok?
Rafe: And don't worry, I'll wake you up in time. So you just sleep, you sleep deep and I'll be right here. I'll be right here, keeping you safe and warm and loved.
Rafe: You're right, alison. You do know me well. I can't let it go, not when I know I'm right, not when I know that stephen clay is caleb morley. And nobody else has to believe me, but -- but you do. So please -- please, please just see the truth. Just see what I see. Please? Let me into your mind. Let me show you what I see.
Elizabeth: Huh. Hmm.
Stephen: Easy. One at a time. No one's going anywhere.
Stephen: I hope no one's going anywhere.
Elizabeth: Elizabeth barrington. Yes, my daughter and I have an appointment to look at wedding dresses later this afternoon, but that -- what, now? Thank you. Oh.
Stephen: The joys of motherhood.
Elizabeth: The wedding dress designer moved up the appointment. I have to go. I mean, I want to go.
Stephen: It's ok. I can wait. We have all the time in the world.
Stephen: I'll drop you on my way.
Livvie: Thank god. Thank you.
Livvie: Thank you, thank you. Ok, they'rboboth gone. I'll just wait here for a minute and then I'll slip out.
Stephen: Funny meeting you here.
tess: Jack, you're mad at me. What's wrong? I said something wrong.
Jack: No, no, no, tess. I'm sorry. I -- I just don't want to hear you compare yourself to livvie because you are beautiful. You're sweet and you're beautiful inside and out.
Tess: And livvie?
Jack: Well, livvie is nothing like that.
Tess: You stopped loving livvie. Why?
Jack: Um -- come here. Sit down. Livvie -- livvie changed.
Jack: Yeah. See, livvie used to be a lot like you. She used to be very sweet. Even though we would have our ups and downs, she was still a pretty gentle and, you know, caring person.
Tess: She loved you?
Jack: Yeah. Well, at least I thought she did once. I think e e only person livvie really ever loved, besides herself, was caleb.
Tess: Livvie loved a vampire?
Jack: Yeah, which makes her nothing like you, see, because livvie is drawn to darkness. You are drawn to light. See, you heal people and livvie destroys them. So just because you look alike, that doesn't mean you are alike. I mean, you're completely different. Tess, you are the girl of my dreams, everything that I have ever wanted in someone, and everything livvie isn'T.
Tess: You're wrong, jack.
Tess: I am like livvie.
Jack: No. No, tess.
Tess: Uh-huh, I am, I know I am, and when you know why -- I'm afraid.
Jack: Afraid? Afraid of what?
Tess: That you're going to leave me.
Livvie: No, no, leleb, wait, please.
Stephen: Caleb again? Well, I got to hand it to you, at least you are consistent. You know, you're my first stalker, or at least the first one that's ever made it in my girlfriend's closet.
Livvie: Listen, I can explain.
Stephen: There's no explanation necessary. Now that I've put my face out in the public, I guess I'm just going to have to get used to this stuff.
Livvie: Look, I wasn't stalking you, ok? I was --
stephen: Shopping in the dark? Need some moth balls? Going through a change? What?
Livvie: Ok, if you're going to be like that about it, then what the hell were you doinanyway?
Stephen: What is with this temper?
Livvie: You were going at it righin front of me. U u were going to make love to elizabeth, knowing that I was watching everything from in there.
Stephen: And your point is?
Livvie: To rub it in my face, to teach me a lesson, to get your kicks? I don't know why.
Stephen: Well, I only said I wasn't a vampire. I never said I was an angel.
Livvie: That you would do something like that in front of me, of all people --
stephen: And what makes you so special?
Livvie: Oh, come on, stop it. Stop acting like you don't know. You did this to me on purpose, you pig. How could you?
Stephen: Hey, you know what? Why don't you settle down.
Livvie: No, you did it because you knew it would kill me to see you with another woman.
Alison: Rafe? Rafe? Is that you?
Rafe: Come with me.
Alison: I don't understand. You're in my dream like before.
Rafe: I still need to show you something.
Rafe: Tell me, who do you see?
Alison: I see stephen. He took very good care of me and my mother.
Rafe: Look a little closer. It's not stephen clay. You know it's not.
Alison: But it looks so much like him.
Rafe: Closer. Just a little closer. Tell me, who do you see?
Alison: Stephen, it's me. You're in my dream.
Stephen: It's good to see you, beautiful. I'm glad. Very, very glad.
[Knock on door]
Elizabeth: Alison? Come on, sweetie, I've been waiting out here -- wake up. You're going to miss your fitting. We've got to go.
Elizabeth: Alison, come on. Alison! Oh, god, alison!
Jack: Tess, how could you ever think that I would ever leave you?
Tess: Because I am like livvie. I know it. It's true, jack.
Jack: No, no.
Tess: What if I turn bad? Will you hate me, too?
Jack: Hey, now, why are you even saying that? I mean, how could you even think that?
Tess: Because I --
jack: Hey, look at me. Tell me what's going on.
Tess: I see things.
Jack: You -- you see things? Well, what?
Tess: Things in livvie's mind.
Jack: Maybe you're dreaming.
Tess: No, no, without my eyes closed, I -- I sometimes see things, her thoughts, and they're so close.
Jack: They're close? They're -- tess, talk to me. What --
tess: I know livvie's thoughts.
Jack: Oh, you -- you mean you probably have just heard a lot about livvie lately because of what I've said and what I've told you. I mean, you really can't see what livvie's thinking.
Tess: Jack --
jack: No, no, that's got to be it. I mean, you've heard a lot about livvie in the past few weeks and it's just a lot. It is. It's a lot. I -- you know, I can't even imagine if I had someone out there who looked like me, but, tess, you got to believe me, that means you're nothing like livvie.
Jack: No, tess. Listen to me --
tess: I'm afraid.
Jack: Hey, you are the girl that I am in love with. And just because you look like livvie doesn't mean anything because you are nothing like her and you never will be. You know, I couldn't love you if you were, not as much as I do love you.
Tess: She hurt you very bad.
Jack: Yeah, she did, but you know what? I don't ever have to go back to that place again. Know why? Because I have you. I have you.
Jack: Oh, hey. What's wrong? What is it? What?
Tess: I saw.
Jack: What, tess? What did you see?
Jack: Are you sure?
Tess: Yeah, nothing. I just want you to hold me.
Stephen: Was that jealousy I heard?
Livvie: No. I'm not. I just -- I didn't mean --
stephen: No, you're jealous all because I look like some guy you used to know.
Livvie: I'm not talking about this, especially with you.
Stephen: Why not? I mean, you're obviously -- you're obviously hurting, and, well, after you went to all this trouble to sneak in here, I guess the least I could do is be straight with you.
Livvie: All right, I'm listening.
Stephen: It's ok to be jealous. You know, I obviously look like this guy caleb that you were in love with so much, and when you saw elizabeth and I together, well, I don't know, it upset you. But what I've been trying to tell you is I'm not caleb.
Livvie: But how?
Stephen: How what?
Livvie: I mean, how -- how can you not be? You are identical. You're exactly alike.
Stephen: I'll do whatever you want to prove to you that I'm not him. Just say it.
Livvie: I want you to tell me the truth.
Stephen: I am.
Livvie: No, I mean now. I want you to look at me, and I mean really look at me, right into my eyes, and I want you to tell me that you're not caleb.
Stephen: Here we are, all alone, just the two of us. There's no reason to lie.
Livvie: Say it.
Stephen: You are beautiful. And I wish with all my heart that I was this mysterious caleb that you are so attracted to, but I'm just stephen clay.
Livvie: I was so sure.
Stephen: I'm sorry.
Livvie: Um -- I'm sorry I bothered you. Uh, I'm going to get going, ok?
Stephen: You going to be ok?
Livvie: Mm-hmm. I'm just a little embarrassed, that's all. I'm sorry.
Stephen: That's all right. Everybody makes mistakes, olivia.
Livvie: Only caleb calls me olivia.
Elizabeth: Alison? Come on, wake up! Wake up!
Alison: You can't be real. This is just a dream.
Stephen: Oh, think again.
Alison: Rafe? Rafe! Rafe, it's -- it's caleb. I know it is. Please, you got to help me, please!
Rafe: I can't move. Something's wrong.
Alison: Rafe, please, don't let him do this to me.
Rafe: Alison, it's just a dream, ok?
Rafe: It's just a dream! Wake up!
Stephen: You are wrong, slayer!
Rafe: Caleb, don't touch her. You can't touch her!
Stephen: Did it never occur to you that when you were sneaking into her dreams that maybe I could follow?
Alison: Don't let him do this to me, please. Rafe! Don't!
Stephen: Arrogant, pitiful slayer.
Stephen: Your beautiful bride-to-be.
Alison: Don't let him do this to me.
Stephen: Oh, my.
Rafe: You can't touch her. You cannot touch her. No. No. No.
No! Alison! Alison! Ohoh, god, alison!
Elizabeth: Oh, god, what is happening?
