Rafe: Alison, get out of the way.

Ian: Take it easy.

Alison: No, I swear, don't hurt him. Don't hurt him. He's not Caleb.

Rafe: What did he do to you?

Alison: Nothing. But he's not Caleb.

Rafe: Yes, he is!

Alison: No, he's not. No, he's not. You didn't see what he did for me and my mother. You weren't here. He took care of us. We should be thanking him.

Stephen: We helped each other. The only thing Ireally care about is you and your mom getting out of here in one piece.

Rafe: I'd still feel better if he kept his distance.

Ian: Why don't you go for a walk? I've got things to do here.

Stephen: No problem.

Alison: Hey, Stephen? They say that when you go through a crisis with someone that you really get to know them. So whether you want it or not, you have my gratitude.

Stephen: Goes both ways.

Alison: I swear you'll see.

Jack: Where the hell is Tess?

[Knocking]

Livvie: What's happen-- happening? I can't breathe. Tess. Tess. Ohh. Ohh. Running out of air. I can't breathe. We're dying. We're both dying.

Ian: How's that?

Alison: It hurts a little bit.

Ian: I don't think it's broken, just sprained. You're very lucky.

Alison: Oh, you bet I am.

Ian: You lost a lot of blood.

Alison: Yeah.

Ian: Little scary, huh?

Alison: It was very scary.

Rafe: For all of us. Just thinking about you on that plane up in a storm.

Alison: I know, and you never gave up on me.

Rafe: No, never.

Ian: The rescue team is on its way. We'll have them move you.

Alison: Ok.

Ian: Ok.

Alison: Thank you. Thank you. Oh, my God, I left a message for you. Did you get it? I told you to meet me at the airport. But the storm, it got worse, and the pilot, he said that we needed to -- to get going. Oh, my God, the pilot. Oh, my God, the pilot -- he lost his life trying to get us up and over the storm.

Rafe: What about Caleb?

Alison: You mean Stephen.

Rafe: Whatever. How did he get on the plane?

Alison: My mother. She said that she wanted us to get to know each other better, and I know this is going to be hard for you to take, but I'm glad that --

Rafe: What's hard for me to take is that guy who is Caleb had me arrested just so I'd be out of the way and he could take this little trip with you.

Alison: But that guy also had you released. And, Rafe, I can understand why he would be so upset. He thought that you and Jack were trying to hurt him.

Rafe: I was trying to stop Jack from hurting him.

Alison: But if the tables were turned, I know you would've done the same thing. I know it. But look at me. Aside from looking like this and going down with the plane, I mean, I -- I have no bite marks on me. I -- I'm ok. I guess I have a few scratches on me, but, I mean, he had every ample opportunity to hurt me and he didn't. I mean, Rafe, he is who he says he is. He's Stephen Clay. He's a brilliant artist, and he's funny. And he's -- he's kind and he's nice, and he tells really obnoxious stories. Ok? And, I mean, I saw his face when we were going down in that plane, and I know that he was just as scared as we were. I promise you.

Rafe: It's just a little hard for me to accept that he had nothing to do with this.

Alison: I'm sure -- I'm sure it is. It would be for me, too. But honestly, I mean, he's the one who helped me and my mother, and I don't know what would've happened to us if he wasn't here.

Rafe: You would've been fine. You're a survivor. I know you.

Alison: I know. I know, I am a survivor, but i'm glad things turned out the way that they did. It's just an awful coincidence that Tess looks like Livvie and Stephen looks like Caleb.

Stephen: I don't know what your problem is, but you don't want to get in my face right now.

Jack: Tess is missing, and I know you know something about it.

Stephen: Hey, look around, buddy. I survived a plane crash. I didn't have time to keep tabs on your little girlfriend.

Jack: Don't mess with me.

Stephen: Maybe you didn't hear me. I'm cold and I'm tired and I'm hungry. I have no time for your whining and complaining.

Ian: Why don't we deal with this later.

Lucy: Are you sure you're not hurt?

Elizabeth: Yeah, just dazed. Thank you. Feeling very fortunate.

Lucy: Yes, you were very fortunate. This has got to have been some sort of nightmare.

Elizabeth: He was amazing. I don't think we would've gotten through without him. To think i almost lost my daughter before I even knew her. I will never forget that feeling.

Stephen: You know, you got a problem with me, you're going to have to deal with me on my own time because right now all I want to do is get back to civilization.

Jack: Bye.

Lucy: So, did you find out anything?

Jack: No. But the thing is, if he doesn't have Tess, then where is she?

Livvie: How can this be happening? I felt everything you felt. How can this be?

Tess: I don't know. It was very bad.

Livvie: Come on --

Tess: No!

Livvie: Ok. Ok, Tess, just do it yourself. Go ahead. How can this be happening? You must be my sister or my twin, but wouldn't I know that? Is that what you are, Tess? Are -- are we twins? Or are we something even closer?

Tess: Go away!

Livvie: You have to have something, Tess.

Tess: Not from you. You're very bad.

Livvie: Come on, you have to drink or I'll be thirsty. You have to eat or I'll be hungry. Look, I know you're not cold anymore because I'm not cold. I will never hurt you ever again. Please.

Livvie: Mmm. It's good, isn't it?

Tess: Good.

Livvie: How can I feel everything you feel? I couldn't breathe and I knew you were struggling for air. I could feel your life slipping away. I am so sorry.

Tess: Then why?

Livvie: I thought -- I thought you were going to hurt me, and I was afraid of you, and I should be taking care of you, and I should protect you the way I protect myself. I promise you I am going to do that from now on.

Tess: Protect your soul.

Livvie: Protect my soul. And I don't deserve it, Iess -- I know I don't -- but do you think you can ever forgive me?

Jack: Tess, are you here? I saw smoke coming from out-- outside. Oh, my God, Tess. It's your doll.

Jack: Oh. It's her little doll.

Ian: There you go. Comfortable?

Lucy: Is there anything we can get you? Anything at all?

Alison: No. I'm just so grateful to be safe now.

Ian: I'll bet you are. Ok.

Alison: Oh, look at that. Thank you.

Rafe: I saw it in the gift shop window.

Alison: Thank you. I love it. It's so sweet of you. It's so soft.

Lucy: Well, I guess you'll be taking that guy home with you, huh?

Alison: I will. Thank you.

Rafe: Where's your mother?

Alison: Well, she went to go change and Stephen promised that he would bring her back as soon as, you know, she was all cleaned up.

Ian: Well, let's have a last look at you, and then we'll let you rest. It's soft.

Rafe: She says Stephen helped her survive this thing. She's totally convinced.

Lucy: What? Well, I guess, coming from her, that's a very big deal. I guess we have to consider it.

Rafe: You think?

Lucy: I don't know. It bears investigating, though, for sure.

Rafe: I'd do anything to help her now. I almost lost her.

Lucy: Hey, Iknow that. Oh, by the way, how did you say you realized where you found her?

Rafe: I had a little help.

Lucy: No, really? Did your powers work?

Rafe: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I did what you said. Took a deep breath, like I should be doing now, and I just concentrated and -- anyway, you were right. Thanks, Lucy.

Ian: We're going to observe you tonight, and you can go to sleep in your own bed tomorrow.

Alison: Oh, I can't wait for that.

Lucy: And you -- stop scaring us like that. You have to.

Alison: I will try.

Lucy: Ok. We'll see you later.

Alison: Ok.

Lucy: Ok.

Alison: Thank you. Bye.

Rafe: Ohh.

Alison: Oh, my gosh.

Rafe: You look so beautiful to me right now.

Alison: I'm sure.

Rafe: You do. I don't know what I would do if I ever lost you.

Alison: You will never lose me. You're going to have me forever.

Rafe: Is this safe?

Alison: Yeah, I think so. Careful.

Rafe: Oh --

alison: Careful. Careful.

[Knock on door]

Stephen: Only you could come through an ordeal like that and end up looking so delicious.

Elizabeth: I don't feel delicious. Lucky, definitely, but exhausted. How about you?

Stephen: I'm ok. I'll -- I'll take you to see Alison whenever you're ready.

Elizabeth: Oh, that's so sweet of you, Stephen, but I know how busy you are. You must have a million things to do.

Stephen: The only thing that's important to me is that you and Alison are all right. Rehearsal can wait.

Elizabeth: There is no way that I can thank you for what you've done out there for both of us.

Stephen: I saw a relationship become whole in a single moment. I saw a mother and daughter discover each other for the first time. It was like watching both of you being born again.

Elizabeth: That's how it felt.

Stephen: All the things we went through, that's the one moment that stands above all the others. I -- I feel quite privileged to have witnessed it.

Elizabeth: Stephen, you're making this so much harder to say.

Stephen: What do you mean?

Elizabeth: I'm so grateful, and you are so wonderful. But I can't see you anymore.

Jack: Tess. Tess, come here. Hey.

Tess: Hi.

Jack: Are you ok? I was worried to death about you. Are you all right? I knew you'd have something to do with this, Livvie.

Livvie: Don't jump to conclusions, Jack. What happened with Alison? Is she ok? Did you find her?

Jack: Yeah. Yeah, we found her. She'll be fine. But answer my question. What were you doing with Tess?

Livvie: Well, everyone just ran out of here, and I stayed back just in case Tess showed up and --

Jack: Look, answer my question. How did you connect with Tess?

Livvie: I went for a walk and I ran into her.

Jack: Yeah? Were you coming home? Huh?

Tess: I don't know.

Livvie: Of course she was, Jack, and for the first time I finally got a chance to talk to her.

Jack: Is that true, Tess?

Livvie: And you were absolutely right about her. She is such an amazing person.

Tess: My baby. My baby.

Jack: Yeah. Look, your baby -- your baby was burned. I know. And I'm sorry. Hey. I'll get you another one, ok?

Tess: You can't! It's my baby! Her. It was Livvie.

Lucy: Hey. Anything important?

Ian: Compared to what? Sleep would be nice.

Alison: Rafe?

Rafe: Hmm?

Alison: I think this was the most profound day of my entire life.

Rafe: Well, you went through a lot.

Alison: No, it wasn't -- it wasn't just the accident. It was with my mother. Something incredible happened between us, and we'll never be the same again.

Stephen: You don't want us to see each other again?

Elizabeth: No, I want to very much. Too much. That's why I have to say good-bye.

Stephen: I'm stunned.

Elizabeth: I'm very surprised myself.

Stephen: Did I do something or say something that hurt you or offended you in any way? Because that was never my intention. I --

elizabeth: No, anything but. You have been so incredible. It's because of Alison.

Stephen: Alison?

Elizabeth: I owe it to her and to myself to put all of my time and energy into my daughter. She and I have so much to catch up on.

Stephen: I see.

Elizabeth: God, Stephen, do you know how hard this is for me? Oh, God, I could just let myself get swept away with you. But I just can't do that again, not -- not to me, not to Alison.

Alison: As horrible as that plane crash was, something so unbelievable happened, and I know it was meant to be.

Rafe: Yeah, well, there are no accidents.

Alison: No, I know, and that's just it. I mean, I was sitting there, and as scared as I was and as cold -- I was just lying there, and as much as I didn't want to go down in a plane, my mother, for the first time, was right there with me. I mean, she was a -- she was a mom. She held me and she loved me and she protected me. It was like nothing I had ever seen before. And I really felt loved by her. I believed her when I looked into her eyes, and when Ilistened to what she was telling me, I really felt like I had a mom. I just know that things between us will never, ever be the same again. I know that she loves me and I feel like I'm finally going to get a chance at a mother-daughter relationship.

Stephen: I can't say I'm not terribly disappointed by all this.

Elizabeth: Me, too.

Stephen: I thought we had the beginnings of something special. Then again, this is not without irony. I -- I do respect what you're doing.

Elizabeth: Do you really?

Stephen: I have a great respect for you, Elizabeth.

Elizabeth: That means the world to me.

Stephen: Are you sure there's nothing I can say or do that can talk you out of this?

Elizabeth: Not right now. It's what I have to do.

Stephen: Yes, I know. I know it's what you have to do. Perhaps a good-bye kiss.

Stephen: Sweet Elizabeth, how I wish it didn't have to be like this. (bites her)

>> On the next "port charles" --

Jack: I know that you were involved in her disappearance, and I want to know what you did to her.

Tess: She saved me.

Rafe: Just because he's being nice doesn't mean he's not a blood-sucking killer.

Stephen: I need you over here. There's been a situation.
