Port Charles Transcript Wednesday

Jack: Hey, jamal, put that stake in a little tighter, man. It's got to be tied. The line's got to be --
jamal: Hey, don't you worry about what mine looks like over here, ok? You worry about yours, boy scout.
Jack: Hey, easy. I just have a little more camping experience, so i think i know, ok?
Jamal: Because you lived in a shack by the river. Is that why? See, that's not caed c my man. That's something else, ok. Need i go there?
Jack: Ok, that's messed up, but ok.
Marissa: You guys go way back, huh?
Jamal: Yeah, sort of.
Jack: Yeah, we go pretty far back. After all we've been through, it seems like about 10 years.
Ricky: It must be nice to get away from all the drama.
Jamal: Yeah. Usually we'd be right smack dab in the middle of this avatar thing -- thank you -- trying to fight the evil mother.
Jack: Yeah, it's kind of nice having someone else fight it for a change.
Marissa: Hey, as long as no one scoops me in a story, I am cool.
Jamal: I've got your story right here.
Ricky: So, to putting the past behind?
Marissa: And to the future.
Ricky: To the future.
Jack: Good-bye, creatures of the night.
Jamal: That's right.
marissa: So, who's hungry?
Chris: Thanks for coming by, karen.
Karen: I'm only here because I don't trust you.
Chris: That's no way to start a conversation, now, is it?
Karen: What do you want, chris?
Chris: Ok, right to the point. Um -- well, I want you to talk to frank, get him to reconsider this whole lancelot thing, giving him up.
Karen: He's done, chris, ok? Leave it alone.
Chris: Are you sure?
Chris: If he wanted to continue with the gift, great -- you know, it's business as usual. But if not, he needs to pass that privilege on to someone else.
Karen: What are you talking about?
Chris: Me! I want to be the avatar's next host. I want to be lancelot.
Livvie: Rafe, I told you I don't know where she is.
Rafe: You're lying.
Livvie: Look it, honey, i know -- i know you're upset, but alison's gone and it's not my fault.
Rafe: Come on. Tell me what you did. What did you do? Did you threaten her? Did you tie her up somewhere? What?
Livvie: Ok, now you're really talking crazy. I am pregnant with your child, rafe! Do you really think I have the strength to overpower alison?
Rafe: So what did you do? Did you just get somebody else to do it? Is that what you did?
Livvie: You know what? I don't have to listen to this.
Rafe: Yes, you do. Because one way or another, you're going to help me figure out what happened to alison.
Livvie: Alison's gone! She left! That's what happened. She did something that you couldn't.
Rafe: No, you know what? That letter was bogus. She wouldn't have left town and she wouldn't have just given up, all right? You stay right there. I'm going to check her room.
Livvie: Go ahead, check all you want.
Rafe: There's nothing there. All her clothes, everything -- it's all gone.
Livvie: Now do you believe me, rafe? Alison's gone. She left you.
Alison: Oh! I can't survive out here this long. I -- i -- I've got to get this off of me! Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. Rafe. I need to get back to you. I need to get back to you.
alison: Oh, my god.

ian: Good night, lambert.
Lucy: Could you maybe tell her hello for me? I'm going to -- if that's ok, I was just going to sit here and -- thank you -- join you just for a minute because I really wanted to talk to eve. Eve, your husband did something that's -- well, kind of made me mad. He sort of pushed me into doing something I didn't really think i should do, but it ends up he was right and i have to actually admit I was wrong.
Ian: Hmm. You talked to kate?
Lucy: After I cussed you quite a great deal.
Ian: That was to be expected.
Lucy: Yeah. But we both realized that we are women who are missing the men that we love very much and that we're both feeling very guilty because we're safe and relatively sound.
Ian: So you told her about kevin?
Lucy: Yeah, I did a little, and she told me about brennan. I -- that man has been in a coma for two years.
Lucy: I can't believe that. It must be so awful, and then i felt really selfish because I started thinking about what if kevin stays --
ian: Well, but he could snap out of this in -- in weeks or in a month or --
lucy: Maybe never. So guess what we did. We had brennan transferred to general hospital tonight.
Ian: You did? Boy, you women work fast.
Lucy: Yeah, we do, but it's because of you. You know, eve, this husband of yours sort of knew that this stubborn woman sitting beside him maybe needed to do something good for somebody else to take her mind off everything, so he pushed me to do that and I did because he's a pretty wonderful guy and he misses you a lot.
Ian: She's right, you know. And I know i promised we'd spend some time alone tonight, but, you know --
lucy: Oh, I'm going. I didn't mean to intrude --
ian: But this stubborn friend of mine who keeps meddling in my life seems to think that we should spend some time together. And I think she's right.
Livvie: Rafe, I know this is hard for you, but alison did to you what she always does to people and she got you to believe in it.
Rafe: I -- i don't want to hear it.
Livvie: Look. Hey, i think she finally did the right thing in the end. I mean, she knew she couldn't come between you, me, and the baby. She knew she was wrong.
Livvie: Yes, and she wants you to live the life that you were meant for. She wants you to be happy. I think finally we all agree on something.
Rafe: I -- i keep telling you that she wouldn't give up on us.
Livvie: That's exactly what she did, rafe! She knew she couldn't be chasing after something that was never going to happen.
Rafe: No. No, she's a smart girl, so she would've left a clue. She would've left a clue if -- something, something happened to her, something that would lead me to her.
Livvie: She knows that you're a good husband and you're going to be even a better father.
Rafe: No -- what did you
do to her? Tell me!
Livvie: And you're still blaming me -- I can't believe it. I am the one who should be upset here. I'm the one who should be angry. But I'm not because you know what, rafe? I know alison better than you do.
Rafe: No! No, you don't!
Livvie: All right. So, she leaves jamal for you in a day and then goes from you to jack and then all of a sudden, back to you again. Is this the kind of everlasting devotion that you're talking about, rafe? Why -- why would you want that?
Rafe: Is that -- what are you trying to do? You're trying to just let her go? Is that something that's easy for you? To just turn it on and off just like that, to just throw away the people who are most important in your life?
Livvie: No, rafe, not for me. But obviously, it is for you because you are forgetting about this child that i'm carrying of yours. All I'm asking is for you to think about our baby, about me, about the life we were planning. Whatever happened to that?
Rafe: It was a life built on lies! And if anything ever happens to alison because of you --
livvie: Oh, would you just stop it, rafe, please? Give me a lie detector! I don't know anything!
Rafe: You know what? I would if i thought it would make you tell the truth. But you're so cold and so determined, i -- you know what i think? I think you're beginning to believe your own lies.
Livvie: All I ever wanted was to make you happy. I know you're just tortured --
rafe: Just shut the hell up, all right?
Ricky: You know, I've never really been camping before. It's -- it's nice to be out in the open air.
Jack: It beats a cot in jail, huh?
Marissa: You were in jail?
Ricky: Yeah, it was a -- a while ago.
Jack: It wasn't that long ago.
Marissa: What was it like? You know, I was thinking about doing this total expose about violence behind bars--
jamal: Hey, marissa?
Jamal: Can you help us move the sleeping bags, please?
Marissa: Yeah, honey, in a minute --
jamal: No, actually, can you help me right now, please?
Marissa: That's code word for "get out of interview mode." So, I am so sorry.
Ricky: No, no, no --
marissa: I did not mean anything by it.
Ricky: Don't worry about it. Don't worry.
Marissa: You called?
Jamal: Yeah, looks like you got everything covered.
Marissa: Told you i could stop myself when i want to.
Jamal: Hopefully, you don't stop yourself all the time.
Marissa: No, lucky for you, not all the time.
Jamal: Where you going?
Marissa: Nature calls.
Jamal: You handle it.
Ricky: You guys got -- you guys got a pretty good thing going there, huh?
Jamal: Yeah, yeah. Pretty good.
Ricky: So, this is what it was before all the craziness in port charles?
Jamal: Yeah. Yeah, it's kind of weird when normal starts to feel weird to you, huh?
Jack: But we're getting better.
Jamal: Yeah, things -- real good, real good right now.
marissa: Somebody there?
Ricky: So, guys, I -- i can pretty much forget about relaxing if I stay in port charles?
Marissa: Jamal! Jamal, no!
Jamal: Hey, whoa -- hey, hey!
Marissa: Something's out there!
Lucy: Life sure is funny, isn't it? I mean, how it all turns out.
Ian: We don't really know how it's all going to turn out, now, do we?
Lucy: No, we don't, but there is one thing i do know -- I know i'm very glad you are in my life and it would be very hard if you weren't.
Ian: I -- i've thought about who we are to each other many times.
Lucy: I think it'd be really hard if we didn't have our children, huh? Last night, christina had a bad dream or something and got scared and crawled into bed with me and she was crying and asking me a lot of questions. You know, she put her little head in my arm and i said not to worry, that i would always, always and forever keep her safe. And then she sort of smiled up at me and said, "thank you, mommy." And in that moment, I realized she didn't really need me as much as i need her.
Ian: Those crazy kids.
Ian: Well, eve and I, we never planned on having any. Two smart people taking all the precautions in the world and there he was and i'm so grateful.
Lucy: I know.
Lucy: Hey, you know what? It -- it kind of makes you think that maybe after all, somebody somewhere is going to try and make everything all right, huh? This is going to sound really silly, but of course i'll say it -- I'm glad i'm here with you right now. And somehow, it's just so beautiful here.
Ian: No, it's -- it is. And whatever craziness there is in the world -- in the world? No. Right here in port charles -- it's nice to have a place, a little, quiet place where you can come and sit, think about things, you know, remember things and forget about the emptiness for a while. And I got to tell you, in those moments, priceless moments, I really do believe that everything's going to be just fine.
Karen: Are you insane?
Chris: Hey, if frank doesn't want the gift anymore, he just needs to give it to me.
Karen: You really think it's that easy?
Chris: Why not? Look at all the work i've done for it. I mean, it'll love the idea.
Karen: Because you bring out its need to control, to dominate, all right? So just stay away from it.
Chris: Karen, the avatar isn't evil, ok? Frank just doesn't know how to handle the power. I do.
Karen: Don't you dare go near him. The avatar hasn't come out in a long time and it's not going to. With my help, frank can fight this.
Chris: Oh, you know what? You're living in a fantasy world, ok, because you -- do you really think you can just give it -- like, give frank a bunch of hugs and kisses and it's just going to go away?
Karen: Yes, i do.
Chris: Oh, karen, ok, this isn't about love. It's about power and who knows how to use it. What are you doing?
Karen: I'm calling ian so he can stop you before --
chris: No, karen, I'm offering you a solution here!
Karen: Will you leave me alone? Just leave us alone!
Chris: Just give me the phone!
Karen: Please, just leave us!
Marissa: I heard something, jamal, ok?
Ricky: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. You don't think it was that shadow thing, do you? I mean, that lancelot?
Jack: No, no, no. We're too far outside of town.
Marissa: The bushes -- they were shaking, ok, and --
jamal: Sweetie, maybe it was the wind or something if it was the bushes.
Marissa: No, jamal, ok? It was not the wind. I heard, like -- like footsteps or something and -- and when i would look up, it would just stop.
Jack: Yeah, but you didn't see anything, right?
Marissa: Well, that's because it moved too fast or it happened too fast, so i -- I can't describe it. I --
jamal: Ok, ok. Hey, hey, hey, hey. You're fine, calm down. It's ok.
Ricky: Yeah, yeah. It was probably an animal or something. Don't worry about it.
Marissa: I'm not worried, ok? I just -- I don't like not knowing what something is, is all.
Jamal: Look, guys, maybe -- let's just bag the camping thing for right now and stay at the motel --
jack: Come on.
Jamal: That we passed on the way, come on.
Marissa: Yeah, yeah. That sounds like a good idea, jamal.
Ricky: All right.
Jamal: Yeah, we'll do it next weekend or something, all right?
Ricky: All right.
marissa: Ok, did you hear that?
Jack: What the hell --
marissa: See? Now do you believe me? There's something out there and it is not an animal.
Rafe: You got something to tell me?
Livvie: So you mean you -- you want to be free of me? You're leaving us, me and the baby?
Rafe: I will do anything i can to support my child. Ok? I will be there no matter what, but that doesn't mean --
livvie: No, rafe -- rafe --
rafe: That what we do is --
livvie: We can still be a family, please. We can start over, i mean, because a child needs a family. It needs a mother and a father.
Rafe: Yeah, yeah -- who love each other. Ok? Who love each other! And I'm done -- I'm through pretending. Livvie? I don't love you, and I can't stay with you anymore. All right?
Livvie: Then you are a liar because you promised me, rafe.
Rafe: No --
livvie: You promised me!
Rafe: No, no, I -- i tried. Ok? I tried! And it didn't work. It's not going to work, ok? It's never going to work!
Livvie: So, what, is alison your destiny? Is that it? You really --
rafe: No, I don't --
livvie: You really think she is out there waiting for you?
Rafe: I don't know what my destiny is. I just know it's not you.
Livvie: What about me finding you in the woods? What -- what about me carrying your child?
Rafe: Ok, I can't -- I can't -- i can't! I can't go through this with you anymore! All right? I'm just -- I'm going to be a father to my child no matter what, but you and I? We're over.
Rafe: Come on, alison. Just show me. Come on. Lead me to you. Give me a clue. Show me something, anything.
Alison: Rafe. Please. Please help me.
Ian: What are you thinking?
Lucy: I was just thinking that it's so nice that you have a -- a place that you can go to talk to eve like that and I was thinking, you know --
Ian: It sounds good to me.
Lucy: I -- i need to go. I need to go talk to kevin and at least see him. Do you think port charles will somehow manage somehow to get along without me?
Ian: Hey, i think we'll muddle through it.
Ian: I'm going to go see kate at the hospital. Why don't you go home and pack?
Lucy: Good idea. Hey. You really are my best friend.
Ian: It makes me a very lucky man.
Jamal: Well, it looked all clear, baby.
Jack: Nothing unusual.
Ricky: Whatever animal that was, it's gone.
Marissa: Look, it wasn't an animal, all right? You guys saw it just like I did.
Jack: We didn't see anything because it moved too fast.
Jamal: Yeah, like animals do when they're scared.
Jamal: Ok, that's got to be what it was.
Marissa: No -- you guys are just trying to make me feel like --
Marissa: It stole our food. Whatever it was, it stole our food.
Chris: It -- it was just an accident. Karen's ok. Right, karen? Tell him you're ok, karen.
Karen: I'm fine, frank, really. The avatar doesn't need to come out, ok? We don't need it. You and I don't need it.
Chris: Actually, I would love to have a word with you. I'm glad you're here.
Karen: Don't, chris.
Chris: It's become pretty clear that frank isn't the host that, you know, we thought he was going to be. He's trying to distance himself from you.
Karen: He's not listening to you, chris.
Chris: Avatar, the people need you, and you need to be at your full power, so get rid of frank. Choose me. I want to be your host. I want to carry your message.
Avatar: Are you a just man?
Chris: Yes. Oh, god, yes, I am.
Livvie: I hate you, alison. I hate you! I hate you, i hate you! And here i felt sorry for you! Because you made me do it to you, and you deserve it! You deserved everything I've ever done to you. Oh. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Go and look for your precious alison, rafe! Because you're never going to find her! You'll never find her because she's dead! She's dead.
Rafe: Alison, where are you?
Rafe: No, no. No.
>> Stay tuned for scenes from the next "port charles: Torn."
>> On the next "port charles" --
ricky: What was that?
Jack: Whoa, whoa -- sounds like a wolf.
Avatar: I have something very different in mind for you.
