Port Charles Transcript Friday

jack: Hey, jamal.
Jamal: Hey, what's up, jack? What's wrong with you? You look like you just lost your best friend.
Jack: Not yet. Um -- there's something that i need to talk to you about.
Jamal: Ok, well, you have my attention now. Come on, it can't be that bad. What is it?
Jack: Alison and i are going to bermuda together tomorrow. And I know what you're going to say, and I just --
marissa: Jamal. Oh, hey, i'm so sorry I'm late. Hey, jack. So, what's up?
Alison: What? You forgot about what?
lucy: Ooh, shh -- the seance! And don't look like that. You know exactly what I'm talking about. Now, listen, we have got to be really quiet because doc just went upstairs.
Alison: Lucy --
lucy: Ok, listen to me. We both have a lot of questions we need answers to, right?
Alison: Yes, we do, but --
lucy: Right! So, you know what we're going to do? Rafe told me all about ed, right? Well, we are going to contact the big boss upstairs, and we're going to say, "ed, why on earth was rafe sent back to earth?"
Alison: No, I'm not doing that.
Livvie: Will you just take me home, rafe? I swear, i promise i won't step foot outside.
Rafe: Livvie, please --
livvie: I will rest all night long in bed, please.
Rafe: The avatar is out there. It's already targeted us, ok? Our family.
Livvie: I know, but --
rafe: No -- no, no, no. You are not going to be on your own. Not tonight.
Victor: I agree with him.
Rafe: There you go.
Victor: What? Don't worry. I won't let her out of my sight for a second.
Livvie: Excuse me. I am not a child.
Rafe: Yeah, but you know what? You're having one, ok? You're having one, and right now our baby is our number one priority.
Livvie: Yes, of course, but I just --
rafe: No -- no, no. There's no buts. Now, i'm going to go out there tonight with ian, and I'm going to do my part. We're going to find this thing and we're going to unmask it, ok? Now, what I want is for you to do your part. You're going to stay here and stay safe. Right, victor?
Victor: Absolutely. It's not going to be so dull being here. I have practically every game ever invented. We've got chess. We've got checkers. Ooh, ooh --
livvie's voice: I can't be stuck here all night. I have to get out somehow and warn the avatar. If he gets caught, he'll tell rafe that this baby's not his.
Victor: How about that? I'll teach you mancala.
Livvie: I -- i -- I can'T. No, rafe, please, I can't stay here. I have to go.
Rafe: Go where? I don't understand, really. Where do you have to go that's so important?
Karen: Colleen? Anyone? Ok, I'll just sign myself out.
Ian's voice: We're setting a trap for him tonight.
Karen: I won't let that happen. I'll find him and warn him before it's too late.
Karen: Ian's not going to let this go until he tracks you down and finds out who you are. Come on. Ok, great. Great. If i have to walk down, I'll walk down.
Ian: That's it, karen. Lead the way.

lucy: Wait, wait, wait a minute --
alison: What -- ow --
lucy: Please, please --
alison: No, lucy, no.
Lucy: Just hear me out. Yes, listen to me. Look, I know this sounds like a really wacky plan and it's insane, but I'm insane, and that's why i'm sure this will work.
Alison: I'm so sure that this won't work.
Lucy: No, it will. Don't you know you have been searching for so long, all these months, to find out what is going on with rafe -- why he came back, why doesn't he have a memory, and why the heck is he married to livvie.
Alison: Listen to me. Even if you did get in contact with ed -- which i don't think that you would because rafe has always told me all along that he doesn't answer --
lucy: So, I think I can --
alison: He's a very play-by-the-book kind of guy. He won't tell you anything --
lucy: But let me try. I have to try, ok?
Alison: Don't you think that i would've already tried that? I have, and he doesn't answer. It doesn't work.
Lucy: Ok, ok, fine. But i haven't tried, and I want to try.
Alison: Please, I'm begging you. Will you please just let this go? I'm begging you, just let this go. It doesn't matter now why he came back. He is with livvie, and they are having a child, and nothing will change that.
Lucy: I don't believe that. Alison, if we give up now, do you know what we're doing? We're condemning rafe to a whole entire life of misery.
Alison: I know that, but he made his choice, lucy.
Lucy: You know what? You're right, ok? Ok, he made his choice. But you know what he based that choice on? Nothing. Because he didn't know the truth. Come on. This is it. We have to do something to help him. If you turn your back now, then i think it's over forever. Do you want that? Come on. Alison, this is your last chance.
Alison: Ok, so if it's my last chance, then maybe there's some sort of hope.
Lucy: Then you got to do it. Come on. Come on -- shh. Ok, come on, fine. Listen, come here. Sit down. Sit down. And we've got to keep our voices down. Doc probably fell asleep waiting for me, all right? So we're just going to do this and we're going to keep it just between us, ok?
Alison: Ok, but I don't -- I don't know what to do, lucy --
lucy: All right, i'll tell you. First I want you to focus. I want you to think really, really hard about ed and about rafe and focus, ok?
Alison: Oh, ok.
Lucy: And it can work. Believe me, it really can.
Lucy: Ok, now take my hands. Get them both -- tight.
Lucy: All right. Now let's close our eyes, take a deep breath, and just concentrate and open up your heart as much as you can, all right? Hey, universe, yoo-hoo. Listen, it's us, and we're asking you for a great big favor here. We need your help. So, ed -- ed, I really have a feeling you can hear us. And we want you to help us, and we are going to will you to help us. So please do. Ok.
Karen: Can you hear me? I know you can somehow, the same way I know i'm somehow getting closer. I -- i feel it. Keep walking. As long as the feeling's getting stronger and i'm on my own, I know you'll --
karen: Hello? Is that you? Are you there? Hello? Ok. I guess not. Well, at least i know I'm safe here, alone in the dark. As long as lancelot's around, everybody's safe.
Livvie: It's not that there's anything i have to do or anywhere I really need to be --
rafe: Ok. Then what is it?
Victor: Well, she's worried. Whoo, she doesn't really know where you're going. You could be putting yourself in great danger.
Livvie: Yes, rafe, i am terrified.
Rafe: Thanks, victor. That's great.
Livvie: No, but he's right. Everybody knows how dangerous this creature gets when it's angry.
Rafe: Ok, and how many times do i have to tell you I can take care of myself? You're just going to have to trust me, ok? And I -- must be ian.
Victor: Sounds like the game's afoot.
Livvie: Well, honey, what does it say? Where is he going to meet you?
Rafe: I got to go. Where's that stuff we talked about?
Victor: Waiting out back.
Livvie: Oh, honey --
rafe: Don't say anything. Just stay here, please.
Livvie: Oh, god, i can't believe this is happening. I can't believe I'm just going to be stuck here and not --
victor: What's it going to be, white or -- or red or black?
Livvie: I don't want to play checkers.
Victor: Black or white?
Livvie: I don't want to play chess. I don't want to play charades. I don't want to play any games, grandpa.
Victor: Ok, ok, ok, that's enough. All right. Just calm down. Because if you don't, you're going to upset the baby. Now, i know you're worried about rafe, but your health -- not to mention the health of my very first great-grandchild ever -- has got to be our first priority. You've just got to concentrate.
Livvie: You know what? I -- i'm a grown woman. I can actually do anything i want, and I'm going to go home --
victor: All right. If that's what you want, I'll just go with you.
Livvie: Can't a woman get any alone time around here?
Victor: No. Not tonight.
Pas ce soir.
Je suis desiree. I have never felt quite so second choice, but I'm afraid you're just stuck with me.
Marissa: Call me crazy, but I just get this feeling i walked right smack-dab in the middle of something.
So you know what? I think I'm just going to go powder my nose or -- ooh, I could do those "people on the street" interviews --
jack: Hey, you know what? Marissa, marissa, forget it. You know, I will -- I'm just going to get --
jamal: No, no, jack -- jack, wait. No. Marissa, didn't you say you had to go get some quotes for that lancelot thing from people sitting around?
Marissa: Right. Like over at that table.
Jamal: Yeah. Yeah.
Marissa: No problem.
Marissa: I'll check back in, like, 10 minutes?
Jamal: Thanks. I owe you one.
Marissa: Oh, don't worry. I will collect.
Jack: So, anyway, I -- I know you think me going to bermuda with alison's a lousy idea.
Jamal: Yeah, I do. But it's your life.
Jack: That's it?
Jack: Yeah. And I'm starting to think I know the reason. So, you're moving on, huh?
Jamal: Yeah. Yeah, we're pretty friendly. All right, jackie boy, straight up, from the heart? I love you and alison, ok? You two are the closest friends that i've ever had in my whole life. Whatever you guys got going on between you, i'm cool with it, believe it or not, just as long as it doesn't mess up what we all got together -- meaning our friendship. You feel me?
Jamal: It's all about us remaining as friends.
Jack: Whew. I cannot tell you how glad i am to hear you say that.
Jamal: Yes. But listen -- what i said before still goes. This thing with alison and rafe -- whoever wants to be in alison's life is going to be taking second place. Ok, so before you go on getting yourself in too deep, you want to ask yourself, can you live with being second place?
Lucy: Ok, ed. This is your big chance. Answer us, please. Ok -- listen, ed, I know there are rules. I understand that. But there are also exceptions to rules, and I've lived by exceptions my whole entire life. You can make an exception now. Come on. You can do it because rafe loves alison so much and alison loves rafe with all her heart. And she really has a very, very good, fine heart. Come on, ed. You wouldn't be this cruel. You wouldn't do it. You wouldn't send rafe back and have him be with livvie. So all we're asking for -- just simple, simple answers. Do it.
Alison: Lucy, I don't know if this is going to work --
lucy: No, no, no, no, no, no, no -- don't -- it's going to work. Why, huh? Ed, tell me that -- why? I'm curious. Why would you send rafe back without a memory and why would you have him end up with livvie?
Alison: Lucy, please --
lucy: No, alison, please -- please stay with me here. Come on, ed. Why would you do it? Why do this now? I mean, there's a child involved -- a little baby. Come on. There's got to be a simple explanation. You've got to give it to us.
Alison: Ok, stop it. Stop it. Seriously, lucy, stop it. You cannot connect with the universe. You can't connect with the great beyond, and not hell or heaven, and certainly not connect with ed with this stupid seance.
Livvie: Ok, so you really won't let me go?
Victor: Sweetheart, I gave rafe my word.
Livvie: I know, grandpa. It's just that i'm so worried.
Victor: I know you're worried about rafe, and he's worried about you. He's worried about both of you. But he's going to come back to you safe and sound, trust me. Trust him. Bob. I forgot you were still here.
Bob: Yeah. I promised i'd work late, remember?
Victor: How are you?
Bob: Do some prep work for tomorrow.
Livvie: Uh -- you know what, grandpa? I'm stuck here, right? I'm stuck here, so i think if i just could find something to keep me busy, then, you know, maybe I'd be a little happier. Is there anything I can do around here?
Victor: Well, I'm sure we can find something. Bob, need an assistant?
Bob: You're lemons, I'm limes. Grab a knife.
Livvie: That's great. Cool.
Victor: It's such a warm evening.
Bob: There you go.
Victor: Anybody feel like lemonade?
Livvie: Uh -- no, thanks, grandpa.
Victor: Oh, I know. How about a big ice cream sundae with mounds of whipped cream and candied nuts and --
livvie: No, grandpa --
Bob: Oh, god.
Livvie: Oh -- oh, bob, i'm sorry.
Victor: All right, take it easy. Take it easy.
Bob: Man, you cut deep!
Livvie: I'm sorry --
victor: Here -- here, use the bar rag and get some ice. I'll go grab the first aid kit. I'll be right back.
Bob: Ow -- god.
Livvie: Bob, really, i feel so awful --
bob: That's ok. It's all right.
Livvie: I really, really do feel awful. I'm so sorry. I'm sorry, bob!
Karen: I know you're out there. I know you're following me. But I'm not scared of you. If you lay one hand on me, he'll be here. You'll see. Oh! Let go of me! Don't! Let go! Help! Lancelot! Help!
Jack: Jamal, i really appreciate what you're saying. But honest, man, i really don't think anything's going to happen between me and ali in bermuda.
Jamal: If you honestly believe that, then you are honestly lying. At least to yourself, anyway.
Jack: Yeah. Just i --
marissa: Knock, knock. Is it safe to come in yet?
Jamal: Hey. What's up?
Jack: Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what? I was actually just taking off, so --
jamal: All right. Look, you just think about what i said, all right?
Jack: All right. Call you when I get back.
Jamal: Fly safe, all right?
Jack: All right.
Jamal: All right, see you.
Marissa: Bye. So, your ex and your best friend are going away on a little vacation together?
Jamal: Yeah, yeah. Whatever they're doing, that's their business.
Marissa: You sure you mean that, jamal? I mean, this is alison we're talking about. And think before you answer me, please.
Jamal: I've done all the thinking that I need to do. All right, so the question is, am i over ali?
Marissa: Are you, jamal?
Jamal: Yes, marissa, I am. Completely. It's time to get to it.
Jamal: Mm-hmm. Me. You. My life. And us.
Jack: I'm not trying to put anpressure on you. Yeah, I do think there might be something between us, but this is not an excuse to make a move on you. I want us to go have fun, all right? And do this gig. And the last thing i want to do is stress you out. That's the st thing I want to do. I want you to be happy.
Alison: Hmm. That's so sweet. Thank you.
Jack: Yeah. Well, since I'm so sweet, why don't we go back to the part where you thought about it, huh?
Alison: I'm so lucky to have you in my life.
Jack: Ok. So this rafe thing can't last forever. So why can't it be the two of us, ali? Why not?
Alison: What was that?
Lucy: I don't know. I think we struck a nerve up there and someone is trying to answer us.
Alison: Either that or maybe it was just the wind that blew the doors open.
Lucy: No. No, I don't believe that. I can feel it. I think he's trying to reach us. My seance is working here.
Alison: No, it's not. It's not working for me, lucy.
Lucy: Wait! Wait a minute. What are you doing? You can't go anywhere -- not when we're this close to getting some answers.
Alison: No, I docare. I don't want answers.
Lucy: Yes, you do. You want them, and i'm going to help you get them.
Alison: No, I don't want you helping me anymore, lucy. Please? Just get a clue. I cannot be with rafe -- not anymore. Not under these circumstances, ok?
Lucy: Yes, you can. You can, alison. You can.
Alison: No, I can'T. And all of this searching for answers where there isn't any and all this looking for hope -- there's not --
lucy: There is!
Alison: Any more hope, lucy.
Lucy: There's hope. And you know what? As a matter of fact, there's also proof.
Lucy: Yes, proof. Think about it. Think back when you were down and you were praying that you could see rafe again. You were as low as it gets. Rafe found a way to come back to earth for you.
Alison: Then explain one thing to me. Why is he with livvie?
Lucy: I don't -- i don't know.
Lucy: I don't -- i don't know. I don't have an explanation for that. But what i do know is he would do anything to get back to you. Anything. He would -- he would lose his memory. He would sell his soul![Music plays]
lucy: Sell his soul.
Alison: What did you just say?
Lucy: I -- i -- I said sell his soul.
Alison: Oh, my god.
Lucy: You know, when you were so down, you were as low as you can get, and he needed to come back and help you.
Lucy: What if he did? What if he sold his soul to the devil? And what if this is some awful trick that hell's playing on him, making him lose his memory to do it?
Alison: Oh, my god, lucy. No, no, no. This can't be true. This cannot be true.
Karen: Ugh! Lancelot! I'm warning you, let go of me or else.
Karen: What? How do you know my name? Who are you?
Karen: What? Ian?
Ian: Hey. Ugh!
Avatar: Kill you.
Karen: No, don't hurt him, lancelot. Please, don'T.
Avatar: You've interfered for the last time.
Rafe: Got him.
Karen: What --
karen: A trap? It was a trap, and i was the bait?
Ian: We had no choice.
Avatar: Kill you both.
Rafe: Really? That'd be a nice trick since this net you're wrapped up in is no less than an alloy that you can't break or go through.
Karen: No, I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Ian: Get back!
Karen: Why are you doing this?
Rafe: Come on. Let's go.
Ian: Let's see who we've got here, huh? Stay back. Let's see who the host is. See if we can get the shroud off. Who's been playing dress-up?
livvie: Oh, god, no. I'm too late.
>> Stay tuned for scenes from the next "port charles: Torn."
>> On the next "port charles" --
alison: If rafe really did sell his soul, he can't ever go back. He will never be able to go back to heaven.
Rafe: Show us the face of your host.
Livvie: Rafe -- he's going to find out.
