Kevin: What did you say?

Rebecca: Kevin, I have no desire --

Kevin: What the hell did you just say?

Rebecca: I wish it were otherwise, but they all believe that you're dead.

Kevin: But why?

Rebecca: Because when you disappeared, everyone thought Alison killed you.

Kevin: Oh -- Alison? That's crazy! Why the hell would Alison want to kill me?

Rebecca: Stop shouting at me! That's all I know! That was the very last thing Livvie said before she slashed my portrait to shreds. Kevin, I --

Kevin: What have you been doing, just playing with me? What is this, some kind of a sick game?

Rebecca: I never lied to you.

Kevin: No, you never lied. You just held back. Some people would call that lying by omission.

Rebecca: Just listen to me. I didn't --

Kevin: Why didn't you tell me this before?

Ian: How is that?

Lucy: No, a little lower. On the left -- it's got to go down a little bit lower to match the bottom --

Ian: It can't go any lower than this.

Lucy: Well, there's a place --

Ian: How about right there?

Lucy: No, that's too high.

Ian: Here.

Lucy: No, no. Down --

Ian: Come on!

Lucy: No, line it up with the top of the --

Ian: It's lined up right now.

Lucy: No, now it's too far.

Frank: Hey, looking good, guys.

Lucy: You think? Oh, where have you been?

Frank: Getting a present. Hang on. As soon as I get it wrapped, I'll be back.

Lucy: Ok.

Ian: This is where the line's perfect.

Lucy: It's not perfect.

Ian: Yeah, it is.

Lucy: It's too high. Ok, maybe I'm sort of nitpicking this whole party to death. I'm so sorry. I just --

Ian: What is it?

Lucy: I don't know if I can go through with this -- you know, without Doc here. I'm not --

Ian: Lucy, in a few hours, we'll go back to searching for Kevin and we'll try to find some justice for Rebecca, but right now let's concentrate on the good things we got going -- a birthday party, the smiles of the children, the hats.

Victor: All right, look who's here, everybody!

Lucy: Thank you.

Serena: It's Christina, the birthday girl!

Lucy: Oh! Yay! Oh, oh! What do you think? Do you like it?

Alison: Hello.

Ian: Oh!

Alison: Hey, who's ready for some chocolate?

Serena: I do.

Victor: Me, too.

Lucy: No, no!

Victor: No?

Lucy: Not till the party, not till the party.

Serena: Mom!

Ian: Danny and I will take care of them. Excuse us, please. Come on.

Serena: Get him, get him!

Victor: The game's afoot!

Kate: Alison, are you all right?

Alison: No. No, not really. Listen, when I came out of the kitchen, I had this really weird feeling, you know?

Kate: Feeling?

Alison: Right. I feel like Rafe is really close to me somewhere.

Kate: Then why isn't he looking for you?

Alison: I don't know. I just know that nothing would stop him from coming here. Nothing could.

Rafe: This is it -- the Recovery Room.

Livvie: Mama, I miss you so much. You have no idea how much I miss you.

Rachel: Well, I miss you, too, baby.

Livvie: You know, if you were here and you knew what was happening, I know it would change everything. You'd help me. You'd understand.

Rachel: Then why don't you tell me? Maybe I can.

Livvie: Ever since Alison killed Kevin, nothing's been right. I've been so angry and alone. It just wasn't fair for her to have Rafe and me to have nothing, nobody.

Rachel: Well, that's true.

Livvie: Why does Alison deserve to be loved and I don't?

Rachel: Oh, Livvie, you do deserve to be loved.

Livvie: Oh, I thought it was going to be easy -- you know, getting Rafe to love me and getting revenge on Alison, but when I talked to her --

Rachel: Shh, shh, shh, shh. You want to know what you should do?

Livvie: Yes. Mama, please tell me, yes.

Rachel: You should go on doing exactly what you have been doing. You have Rafe exactly where you want him. This isn't the time to be thinking twice. This is the time to get out there and finish what you've started.

Kevin: Don't you tell me that this wasn't deliberate. You held back!

Rebecca: To keep you from feeling this way. I thought if you saw what was possible here that it might help you to accept so that when I did tell you everything that --

Kevin: Yeah, everyone thinks I'm dead!

Rebecca: It might make it easier for you.

Kevin: Easier how?

Rebecca: So that you could see that there are good things here.

Kevin: Like what? What, you make magic fruit? Oh, that makes it worthwhile to never see my wife and children again. I mean, who wouldn't want to spend forever in a magic forest where you can have all the grapes you can eat, you can't get out, and everyone you love is just a world away?

Rebecca: I was trying to --

Kevin: Trying, trying -- everybody's trying to do something. I was trying to protect the people I love! And your black magic got me here.

Rebecca: Black magic? No. I swear before God --

Kevin: You wanted to teach me a lesson, Rebecca? Well, guess what -- you handed me a fate worse than death. I'm going to spend eternity in nowhere with you.

Rafe: Well, they say this is the best place in town to hang out, so let's see who's around. Hey, excuse me.

Waitress: Whoa. Where you going, cutie?

Rafe: Going inside.

Waitress: Sorry, not tonight. It's a private party.

Rafe: Oh. Listen, hang on a second. Come here. Um -- this is going to sound like a very strange question, but do you know me, recognize me at all?

Waitress: I wish I did, but I've only been working here a couple of weeks. But, please, come back when we're open. Promise I'll recognize you then.

Rafe: Thanks. I will. Ok. At least I know there's something about this place. I don't know what it is, but there's something. Maybe if I just -- just sit out here for a while, it'll come back to me. Yeah.

Kate: Alison, why don't you sit down, sweetie, you know, put your head between your knees?

Alison: Kate, I'm not sick, I'm in love.

Kate: There's not much of a difference for you, is there?

Alison: I don't think you understand or get this. My heart is connected to Rafe and it's screaming that he's looking for me.

[Balloons pop]

Lucy: Oh!

Kate: Well, I hope you're right, Alison. I really do because I would love to meet a man who could make a woman that crazy.

[Balloon pops]

[Lucy and Serena scream]

Lucy: You know, this -- this isn't my thing.

Serena: Mom, you're not supposed to pop the balloons. And you're supposed to make them look like animals that we know.

Lucy: I know. That was probably going to be a snake. I am not a professional clown. Come on, give me a break here.

Ian: You all right?

Victor: Oh, yeah. Watching the kids makes me think of Ryan and Monk at that age. The priceless time when -- look at the look in his eye. They get excited about the simplest of things. How unimaginable it would have been then that I could lose them both.

Lucy: Ok, you know what? I think I need some different balloons, maybe some more green ones --

Serena: Yeah!

Lucy: For that -- that snake, right? I'll be right back.

Serena: Or monkey?

Lucy: Monkey? Ok, I'm focusing on a monkey. I'll get it.

Frank: Lucy, hey.

Lucy: Oh, hey. Oh. Oh, listen -- could you just keep an eye on those two for a minute, ok?

Frank: Yeah, sure.

Lucy: And I forgot to thank you. Thank you so much for letting us use this place.

Frank: Oh. Yeah, thanks for asking. It feels good to feel included in Christina's life.

Lucy: Oh, speaking of feeling, are you ok?

Frank: Yeah, yeah. I -- I am. But you know, with everything going on in your life, the last thing you need to do is worry about me.

Lucy: I kind of like having something else to think about, so you're sure you're ok?

Frank: A day at a time. You know, I still can't believe this time last year, we didn't think we were going to see Christina and then Kevin -- you know, I'm sorry.

Lucy: It's -- no, listen, you know what? I need more balloons. I got to do some animals. No, I'm ok.

Frank: No, you take a breath. I've got it covered, ok?

Lucy: Thank you. Oh, Doc. I don't know about this, Doc.

Ian: Lucy?

Lucy: I just can't believe I'm doing this really because this time last year I was so upset, I never thought I'd see Christina again, and Doc brought her back to me, so he's supposed to be here. He's supposed to be here to watch her blow out all her candles.

Ian: Are you ok?

Lucy: How can I be ok when he's out there somewhere and I don't even know where and I'm not sure how to bring him home?

Ian: Not yet, but I'm going to keep working on it. We won't stop till we do, ok?

Lucy: Yeah, yeah. I -- I don't want Christina to see me sad, ok?

Ian: Ok.

Christina: Look at!

Frank: Just give us a minute here, Christina, and we'll have this thing all put together for you.

Serena: Hey, I think this piece goes --

Frank: No, I don't think so.

Rafe: I can't remember a thing. This whole thing's just one big mess.

Christina: Hi.

Rafe: Hi there, yourself.

Christina: Did you come for my birthday?

Rebecca: Are you quite finished?

Kevin: Finished?

Rebecca: You heard me. And I insist you apologize.

Kevin: Or what? What are you going to do? You're going to be waiting over a hundred years for anything close to an apology from me. God, I feel like I'm trapped in some sick, twisted fairy tale with a powerless witch.

Rebecca: Enough! You listen to me, you impossible, self-centered -- do you honestly believe that this is all about you and your pain and this is the life that I dreamed of? Let me tell you about pain, sir. Real pain is to know what your calling is and that that is to help people, to work to bring love into their lonely lives, and to have that work twisted and turned into something befouled, and then -- and then to be hanged for it! And you think you have the right to stand there and pass judgment on me? You have no idea who I am and no right to judge!

Livvie: There is only one problem. Mom, I think I love him.

Rachel: Rafe.

Livvie: Alison always said that he was this really incredible guy, but I didn't -- I didn't really know --

Rachel: He's incredibly kind, caring?

Livvie: It's like he always goes out of his way to make me feel really special and cared for.

Rachel: But does he love you?

Livvie: We were about to make love, and he called out her name. I just thought I was going to die. I just --

Rachel: Ok, wait, shh, shh --

Livvie: Thought that --

Rachel: Wait, listen to ma. Shh, shh, shh. You've been laying a trap for Rafe, and when he does start spending more time with you, I guarantee you that he is going to love you just as much as I do.

Livvie: You think?

Rachel: Oh, absolutely. Oh, you are so lovable, sweetheart. And you're a woman with a great heart and courage. I am so proud of you for seeing something that you wanted and taking matters into your own hands.

Livvie: You really mean that?

Rachel: Well, you gave what's-her-name every chance possible to shut down the candle store.

Livvie: I know --

Rachel: Begged.

Livvie: I know, I know, and she wouldn't listen to me.

Rachel: That's because she was too busy killing your father. And then when you're stricken with grief, she's telling Jack that she's the victim. Why should you have to pay for her crimes?

Livvie: That's what I keep thinking.

Rachel: And you're right. Alison did take the love from your life. Alison deserves to be punished. And if it's Rafe that you want, then you hold on to him tight, sweetheart. You hold on to him tighter than anything and you never let go.

Rafe: Is today your birthday, princess?

Christina: Uh-huh. But my real name is Christina.

Rafe: Christina. Christina -- that's a beautiful name. Did your mom throw you a big party?

Christina: Uh-huh.

Rafe: Ooh. That must be fun. Don't you think maybe you should be inside, then? What, you -- you want me to come with you?

Ian: Frank. Hey, how are you?

Frank: Ian.

Ian: I haven't seen you --

Frank: Since I freaked out on the 6:00 news?

Ian: Heard about that. How you holding up?

Frank: Yeah, I'm ok. I've been able to figure things out. I'm just a little worried if I can ever make it right with Karen again.

Ian: Have you talked to her?

Frank: No one knows where she is -- at least that's what they tell me. Not that I blame anybody.

Ian: Well, what you two had is worth fighting for, worth fighting to get back.

Frank: That's the plan.

Rafe: Very well, your highness. I would be very honored to take you to --

Kate: Christina!

Rafe: Hi.

Kate: What are you doing out here, you?

Rafe: Actually, the birthday girl decided to invite a complete stranger to her party. Are you her mom?

Kate: No. No. But I know what will happen when her mommy finds out that little Christina has slipped off the radar. Thanks for the interception.

Rafe: Yeah, no problem.

Kate: Come back inside.

Lucy: Where is Christina? Ian, have you seen --

Kate: Look who I found.

Lucy: Well, there you are, you. Come here. Where were you?

Kate: Outside.

Lucy: What? What were you doing outside without me?

Christina: The man.

Lucy: What, there was a man outside? Who? Do you want me to go meet the man? All right, did you know him? Are you -- ok. I guess we can run out and --

Alison: Hey! Look what I've got for the birthday girl.

Lucy: Wow. Look at those.

Alison: Ok, Christina, I am going to take a red one of these and I'm going to tie it to your chair so that when you have cake and ice cream, you'll know exactly where -- my God, it's him.

Lucy: Him? What? Alison, what?

Alison: Lucy, hold these.

Lucy: What? Oh!

Rachel's Voice: You have Rafe right where you want him.

Livvie: Rafe.

Rachel's Voice: Now is not the time to think twice. Now is the time to get out there and finish --

Livvie: Mom? Mom? Oh, no. Oh, God, I must have been dreaming. Rafe? Rafe? Are you here? God, why do I -- why do I feel like this? Oh, no. Great. Just great, Livvie. You drank the wrong glass with the sleeping pill. Dumb, Livvie! Dumb!

Rachel's Voice: Finish what you've started.

Livvie: Yes, I know, Mama. I heard you. Don't worry, I know exactly what to do now.

Kevin: Rebecca --

Rebecca: The only words I want to hear from you --

Kevin: I apologize.

Rebecca: What?

Kevin: You're right. I'm sorry. It's being unfairly judged that started all this. Forgive me?

Rebecca: And can you forgive me the same crime? I jumped to conclusions, too, Kevin. I made a mistake, trying to teach you a lesson when I still have so many to learn, even after 120 years.

Kevin: Anger has a way of making fools of us all.

Rebecca: I'm so sorry. I'm sorry that your family will move on without trying to look for you. I know what it's like not to exist, to be trapped somewhere between life and death, lost and forgotten.

Kevin: I'm sorry, too, for both of us.

Victor: Ice cream!

Lucy: Oh, yeah, we're going to go have --

Kate: You're an incredible friend, Dr. Thornhart.

Frank: Ice cream -- yay!

Ian: Lucy's the one who's incredible. Her heart's in pieces.

[Christina blows horn]

Lucy: Yes, so that means cake time!

Victor: Cake time!

Lucy: Cake time! Yay!

Kate: Lucy, can I do something to help?

Lucy: Oh, you could take some pictures. I'd appreciate it.

Kate: You bet.

Lucy: Ok, you ready? Look. Oh, it's almost ready. I'm going to put you right here. Make a really, really wonderful wish. I know what I hope you wish for. Now, close your eyes. Get ready. Blow really hard on three. Ready? Everybody count.

All: One, two, three --

Lucy: Blow, blow, blow!

All: Yay!

Lucy: Ok, now, I want to get one more picture. Everybody smile. I want great big, happy smiles for Doc when he comes home. Smile. Ok, one more, bigger smiles. Come on, one more -- for Doc. Just for Doc.

Alison: I know he was here. I know it. But what if he -- what if he wasn't? It -- oh, God, Alison, you've got to stop doing this. You've just got to stop doing this. Maybe he just really wasn't here. Oh, my God. He was here. It was him. He is back. Maybe he's come back to me. But why didn't he come inside?

Livvie: Rafe.

Rafe: Hey, you're up.

Livvie: My God, where were you? I was -- I was really worried about -- no. No, no, no, no, never mind. Look, I'm -- I'm really glad you're here. I have something to tell you.

Rafe: What kind of something?

Livvie: Look, I know you've been trying really hard to remember us and putting the pieces of your life -- our life -- back together.

Rafe: Yeah, I'm still trying.

Livvie: And I think I know why it's not working, and I -- I know what to do now.

Rafe: You do?

Livvie: Yes.

Rafe: Well, tell me. What is it? What do you think I have to do?

Livvie: Marry me.

>> On the next "Port Charles" --

Livvie: And we talked about what it would be like to be married.

Rafe: But I still don't remember. And I still feel like there's something missing.

Ricky: Why can't you just admit it?

Karen: Admit what?

Ricky: That there's something happening between us and neither of us wants to stop it.
