Jamal: Wow. You going for a new world record or something?

Jack: Trying to forget -- at least for a few minutes, anyway.

Jamal: Yeah. Hard to believe Livvie actually thought you brought a tape recorder down when you met with her.

Jack: Yeah. There's a lot of things that are hard to believe about Livvie.

Jamal: Yeah, I know.

Jack: You know, Jamal, I once thought that I was going to spend the rest of my life with her, you know?

Jamal: Yeah. Yeah, I do.

Jack: Then I went down to the river. And when I looked into her eyes, she wasn't there anymore.

Jamal: Wow.

Jack: Now all I feel is --

Jamal: What?

Jack: Nothing. Nothing at all. The girl I once loved is not there anymore, and the feelings I had for her went with her.

Jamal: Hey, Jack, I'm sorry.

Jack: But, hey -- I mean, there's some good news in this whole nightmare. I mean, you and Alison are getting closer again, huh?

Jamal: Yeah, a little.

Jack: What? I mean, you asked her to marry you, right?

Jamal: Yeah, well, I thought the reason for doing that was so I wouldn't have to testify in court against her.

Jack: But?

Jamal: But the truth is I never stopped loving her and I want her back.

Alison: Rebecca.

Lucy: Oh, no.

Alison: We have to fix this. We have to try.

Lucy: How could this have happened?

Alison: Please -- you have to find a way, please. Just talk to me.

Rebecca: I'm trying, Alison. I'm trying. But she destroyed the portrait, and I can't get through to you.

Alison: You have to be all right. Lucy -- Lucy, you have to help me fix this. You have to help me fix this portrait.

Lucy: Ok. Ok, calm -- calm down. I'll try.

Alison: No. No, listen to me! Rebecca is the only one who knows where Kevin is. She's the only one who can save him, for God's sakes.

Rebecca: The candle, Alison. You have to find the candle.

Lucy: Who would have done this, then?

Alison: I don't know. I don't know. It had to be Livvie. Oh, God, it had to be --

Lucy: Why? Why would she --

Alison: She took away our one chance of ever making this right ever again.

Lucy: Alison, what are you saying?

Alison: I'm saying that Livvie deliberately did this!

Rebecca: I'm sorry, Alison. I'm so sorry.

Alison: She killed Rebecca.

Livvie: Rafe? Oh, my God. No, you can't be here. You were gone. You said your time was up. No. Breathing. Ok. Ok, so it looks like you're back and alive -- alive as an angel can get, anyway. And you've come riding to Alison's rescue, just like Jamal and Jack and -- well, not this time, Rafe. Alison murdered my father. And if you think your heavenly magic can save her bloodthirsty neck -- well, think again, angel. Think again.

Jamal: I mean, the second I asked her to marry me, it just -- whoo -- it all came back -- the dreams we were dreaming, the life we were planning together. It just snuck up on me, and -- wham -- right in the heart.

Jack: You really want her back bad, huh?

Jamal: Oh, man, more than you know. Not only did I ask her to marry me, I tried to break her out.

Jack: Out?

Jamal: Yeah.

Jack: You mean out of jail?

Jamal: Jack, I played bob and weave with a cop, snagged the keys, and I was ready to take her place in the cell.

Jack: And what stopped you? I mean, common sense?

Jamal: Yeah, right. No, Ali. She wouldn't do it. She said she didn't want me paying for her lousy mistakes. Only she doesn't get that I'm already paying for mine.

Jack: Wait. You know what, Jamal? Just give it some time. I mean, Alison loved you. You guys had a good thing going, ok? And you're the one who's sticking by her side right now, not Rafe.

Jamal: Yeah.

Jack: And I'll bet you in the end you guys will end up back together. Just watch.

Jamal: I don't know, Jack. I don't know. She's just as much into him now as she was when he was here.

Jack: Just give her some room, man. Before long, he'll start to fade away like some ghost.

Jamal: See, that's what I feel like it is -- like a ghost. I can't -- I can't see him, I can't touch him, but I can feel him standing right between us. And I can't fight him, Jack. I don't know how.

Jamal: Well, I think I know where to start.

Alison: Livvie did this, just like she must have poisoned my candles and taken Kevin's sweater that was full of blood and planted it in the trunk of my car --

Lucy: Stop it! Alison, just stop! This is not about Livvie -- not about what Livvie tried to do or maybe what Livvie did. This is about you.

Alison: Me?

Lucy: Yes, you! You're the one who told me that this -- this portrait could tell me where my husband is. And I was so desperate, I listened to you.

Alison: It's the truth. Everything that I've ever told you, Lucy, is the truth.

Lucy: I don't believe you! Is this because you were so desperate, you made this whole story up?

Alison: No. No, I swear to you, Rebecca does talk to me, and she did come out of the portrait. And she did -- Lucy, she really did talk to me. And I'm afraid that when Livvie destroyed the painting that she must have closed the door.

Lucy: What door?

Alison: The door to Rebecca. Don't you understand? She's the only way that we can ever find Kevin, and now I'm afraid that -- that Kevin might be lost forever and that we won't be able to find him --

Lucy: What?

Alison: Ever again.

Lucy: Stop it! No, don't say "ever again." And don't say we won't be able to find him!

Alison: Ouch.

Lucy: Alison, you told me -- you told me that if I helped you, if I bailed you out, that this -- this Rebecca could tell me where my husband is! That's what you said she could do!

Alison: I thought that she --

Lucy: You thought? You thought what? What? Alison, is this just a lie? Is this like some dream you had?

Alison: No.

Lucy: Well, then, what --

Alison: No --

Lucy: Did you imagine that some blabbermouth portrait could tell me where my husband --

Alison: No, I swear --

Lucy: You just lied! That's it!

Alison: No, I --

Lucy: Then tell me -- for God's sakes, Alison, you tell me, where is my husband? Tell me now.

Alison: I don't --

Lucy: Answer me, please! Just -- just tell me! I need to know! Answer me, Alison. Answer me.

Alison: Lucy, I swear, I don't know.

James: All you need do is sign on the dotted line --

Ed: Don't rush me.

James: You know, I could fix that little eyesight problem.

Ed: Why? Does everyone in hell have 20/20 vision?

James: Oh, yes.

Ed: Let's get on with this.

James: Like father, like son.

Ed: I'm doing this because I love my son.

James: Yes, and Rafe's doing it because he loves his precious Alison. It's so boring. Do you know how many people wind up here all in the name of love?

Ed: What in hell do you know about love?

James: Well, I know it keeps me in business. Ah, if you would initial here and right over there.

Ed: No, no, no, I'm not ready yet. I want to review the terms of our agreement here because I want to know exactly what's going to happen when Rafe goes down to earth to Alison.

James: Don't you trust me?

Livvie: Oh -- what are you thinking? God, you can't kill an angel. Ok. Focus, Livvie, focus. Come on. Ok, what can I do with you? Um -- ok. Let's see. Right, strong and steady, so you're just out cold. But you're not going to stay that way. Not forever. Ok, time to think, time to think. All right, where -- where can I put you or what can I do with you? Oh, my God -- Lucy. God, what are you doing out here? Coming from the witch's den.

Lucy: Oh, boy, Doc. I am so insane to try and find you. I don't know what I'm doing. I guess I'm taking this all out on Alison right now, aren't I? What do I do?

Alison: Look, I know -- I know you must hate me right now.

Lucy: Uh -- no, no, I don't -- I don't hate you.

Alison: I would understand if you did.

Lucy: I don't. I don't. I guess I -- I'm just so desperate to find Kevin, you know, that I came here with a lot of hope. And when everything went wrong, I took it out on you.

Alison: Just as long as -- as we're ok, you know. Lucy, I swear to you, I promise you, I did speak to Rebecca.

Lucy: And now?

Alison: I'm afraid she's not going to come out again.

Lucy: Ugh.

Alison: What?

Lucy: I can't believe I'm in this. I can't believe I'm standing, you know, outside a barn with somebody who was accused of murdering my husband, somebody I bailed out. And I came here because I was going to talk to this portrait, this woman from the 1800s or something, that was going to tell me where my husband's supposed to be.

Alison: I did not kill Kevin. You have to believe me.

Lucy: Even more crazy is the fact that I do. I really believe you. And the reason I believe you, I think, the most is because I know, Alison, Kevin's not gone. He's -- he's not. I know it in here that he's around. He's somewhere. We just have to find out where. And I am not going to give up hope of finding him -- not now and not ever. Let's just get out of here for now, ok? Shall we?

Alison: Ok.

Lucy: Watch out. Watch that rock.

Alison: Ok, I will. Oh, Lucy, what are we going to do with this portrait?

Lucy: Hey, just -- we'll think about it when we get home. There's got to be some way to fix it, you know? Maybe there's some --

Alison: But what do we --

Livvie: Ow.

Alison: Did you hear that?

Lucy: What was that?

Alison: No -- no, something over here. Hello?

Lucy: Hello?

Alison: Is there anybody over there? Hello? Lucy, I heard something.

Lucy: I did, too. Hello? Answer us, please. Hello?

Jack: Hey, make sure those brackets are tight. We don't need any distractions once I start developing.

Jamal: All right, you get those plates and chemicals ready. I got these lights covered.

Jack: Yeah. Let's just keep our fingers crossed and hope this works.

Jamal: So you really think something's going to show up?

Jack: Yeah. I hope so. Get that, man.

Jamal: All right.

Jack: I took these pictures the other day at the barn.

Jamal: Yeah?

Jack: And after everything that's happened with Livvie, I just kind of forgot about them.

Jamal: Well, it seems like a pretty big thing to just forget about.

Jack: Well, to tell you the truth, I was actually going to ditch town, leave all this mess behind.

Jamal: Really? What changed your mind?

Jack: You did -- you and Alison. No, you guys were there for me when I went through hard times, and, hey, man, I just figured you deserved the same.

Jamal: Well, hey, I mean, thanks and everything, but I don't know what these pictures have to do with Ali and me. I mean, how can they help?

Jack: Ok. Until we clear Alison, ok, until we figure out exactly what happened to Kevin, all of our lives are on hold.

Jamal: Yeah. Yeah, and Alison is just sure that Rebecca is connected to everything that's gone wrong here, too.

Jack: Right, even though she died over 100 years ago and she keeps appearing in these pictures.

Jamal: Yeah, but you said she keeps fading away before the pictures are even finished developing.

Jack: This is where you come in.

Jamal: Me?

Jack: You --

Jamal: Me --

Jack: And this instant camera. We need exact proof that Rebecca still exists, and I think -- I think that this is going to help us.

Jamal: Right. So I take a picture of the picture before Rebecca fades away.

Jack: That's the plan.

Lucy: Hello?

Hello? Anybody out there?

Alison: Lucy, I heard something. What do you think that was?

Lucy: I don't know. I heard something -- you know what? It was probably just a deer or a rabbit or something.

Alison: Yeah, maybe.

Lucy: Or maybe -- what if it's Doc? What if he's out there and he's hurt and he's trying to crawl back to the barn? Doc! Doc, it's us! It's me, Lucy!

Alison: Kevin!

Lucy: Doc!

Alison: It's Alison!

Lucy: Doc, where are you? Doc, are you out here?

Alison: Lucy --

Lucy: Ow!

Alison: What is it? What's the matter?

Lucy: Oh, ow.

Alison: What is it?

Lucy: I don't know. I think I stepped in a pothole and twisted -- darn boots.

Alison: Do you want some help?

Lucy: No, no, no!

Alison: Does it hurt really bad?

Lucy: No, I'm fine, I'm fine. I'm fine. Just a second. You know, this is nuts. What are we doing out here in the dark running around? We can't see. We could get hurt. And if it -- if it was Doc, I would feel it. I don't feel it. I don't sense him out here at all.

Alison: You would. You would know. You would --

Lucy: Yeah, I would.

Alison: You would definitely feel it.

Lucy: Let's just go. Let's get out of here. Let's go home.

Alison: Yeah, but --

Lucy: What?

Alison: I don't know. It -- I feel something --

Lucy: What? What is it? What are you feeling?

Alison: I don't -- I don't know. No, it's probably nothing.

Lucy: Are you sure?

Alison: Yeah, yeah. Let me -- let me just help you back to the car, ok? Just --

Lucy: All right.

Alison: It's all right. Just lean on me.

Lucy: Oh, thanks. Ow.

Livvie: Oh, that was close. Just a few more steps and they would've caught me. And then I -- oh! Rafe.

Jack: Ok, it's almost time. Keep your eyes open, all right?

Jamal: Ok, so just snap when you say go, right?

Jack: Yeah. It's going to happen fast. One minute Rebecca's going to be there, and then she's going to be gone.

Jamal: All right, got it.

Jack: All right. You see that?

Jamal: No. Where?

Jack: Right there, right there. It's happening.

Jamal: Oh, man, something really is there.

Jack: All right. This time we're going to get you, Rebecca. You're not going to fade away.

Jamal: Ok, just tell me when. All right?

Jack: All right, all right. Hold on, hold on. Ok, ok. Now -- take it.

Jamal: Got it. Got it right here, baby. Ha, ha, ha, ha.

Jack: Oh, my God.

Jamal: Yeah.

Jack: It's happening again.

Jamal: You're right -- she really is. She's just disappearing.

Jack: So, what do you think? You still can't believe it?

Jamal: I should've listened. I should've listened to Alison. I should've known she was telling me the truth when she said Rebecca was for real.

Jack: Come on. Say cheese. Let's go.

Jamal: Yeah, come on, come on. There she is right there. She's right there, Jack -- right there! She's showing up.

Jack: That's her. It is Rebecca, clear as can be. Jamal, we have absolute, 100% proof that Rebecca still exists.

Alison: Just let me get you some ice.

Lucy: Oh, I don't --

Alison: Or something for your ankle.

Lucy: No, Alison, I'm fine. I don't want any ice. I just need to sit down for a minute and -- oh -- put it up and stay off of my ankle for just a little while.

Alison: Lucy, I know that I keep telling you this, but I just want to tell you I really am sorry. I'm sorry for everything. I'm sorry for the portrait --

Lucy: I know, I know --

Alison: I'm sorry --

Lucy: I know. Alison, I know, ok? I accept your apology for now, all right? Look, I am not ever going to give up on finding Doc, and I am not about to let you, ok? So you're not giving up. Now, why don't you just -- just stay here with me for a while, ok?

Alison: Yeah. I think that I might like that if that's ok with you.

Lucy: It's fine. It's a very good idea. Listen, you know what we'll do? We'll just take a deep breath, you know, relax, and think about what we're going to do next. But in the meantime, I need to just be quiet for a minute. And I think you could use some fresh air. You know, maybe the view on the water with the lights -- it's beautiful out on the deck. Ok?

Alison: Yeah. Yeah, you're right. I'm just going to go get some air.

Lucy: Good idea. Ok. And, listen, we'll figure this out. Whatever is coming next, we will figure out.

Alison: Ok. And I won't be long.

Lucy: I'll be here. I'll be here. I'll be here waiting --

Lucy: Doc, listen. I need you to tell me I'm doing the right thing here. I mean, am I doing the right thing, trusting Alison and believing her and trying to help her? Because the end result I want is to find you because I helped her, so -- I just need to find you, wherever you are.

Alison: Rafe? Rafe? Are you up there? Are you watching all of this? I know that I shouldn't keep on asking you this. There's just so much going on and I don't know what to do. I just know that -- more and more every day, I just know that I can't do this alone! I need you so much. Please, if there is -- if there is just any way, if you could just please come back to me for, like, an hour or a day or even just a minute -- please, just -- I don't know what to do. But I know that -- I know that if you could be here, you would. I know that. I do. I have got to stop praying for something that is never going to happen. It's just never going to happen. I just -- I really miss you. I just really miss you.

Livvie: Rafe. Well, thank God you're ok.

Rafe: Where am I?

Livvie: Hey, hey, don't try and get up so fast! Watch yourself. Listen, I -- I found you unconscious, and I thought maybe --

Rafe: I said, where am I?

Livvie: You're all right. You're not too far --

Rafe: What's going on? Answer me.

Livvie: Hey! Calm down, Rafe, ok? Listen, I'll tell you. I know why you're here.

Rafe: You do?

Livvie: Yeah, sure -- to save Alison. But listen to me, Rafe. Alison's changed. Everything has changed. You have to believe me. Please. Rafe, aren't you listening to me?

Rafe: Yes, yes. I am. I'm listening. But --

Livvie: But what?

Rafe: I have no idea what you're talking about.

Livvie: Alison -- that's what I'm talking about.

Rafe: Who's Alison?

>> Stay tuned for scenes from the next "Port Charles: Superstition."

>> On the next "Port Charles" --

Ed: I want to review the terms of our agreement here because I want to know exactly what's going to happen when Rafe goes down to earth to Alison.

James: Don't you trust me?

Rafe: Who's this Alison?

Livvie: You don't know anything that's happened here in Port Charles?
