Ricky: God, Karen, you are so beautiful. I want you so bad. What's the matter?

Karen: I don't know. I just don't know how this is happening --

Ricky: No, no, no, no. Hey, hey, hey. Don't fight it.

Karen: I -- I'm sorry, I know I'm giving you mixed signals.

Ricky: It's all right. We can -- we can slow it down if you want.

Karen: It's just that it's not right, Ricky. I know I'm in love with Frank. It's just that this moment, I --

Ricky: You want me?

Karen: Yes.

Rafe: Somebody! Come on, get me out of here! Anybody! Oh, God, James!

James: You called, Master Rafe? Did you want something?

Rafe: You know damn well what I want. Now, where the hell have you been?

James: Oh, yes, that's right. You're anxious to get back to earth, aren't you?

Rafe: Yeah. Well, am I going or not?

James: Well, you'll be happy to know I have your ticket right here. Now, I hope you don't mind traveling coach.

Rafe: What's this? What -- you better not be messing with me.

James: I assure you, everything's in order and you're to leave immediately.

Rafe: So I get to go home. Back to Alison. Thank God.

James: God had nothing to do with this.

Livvie: I am begging you, Rebecca, please -- please, tell me where my father is. Look, say something. Say anything. Ok, you don't want to help me. I get it. But what about your precious Alison? She's sitting in jail right now because they think she killed my father, but if you tell me what happened, maybe I can help her get out, fix things so everything will be ok. And I promise -- I swear, it'll be our little secret. I won't tell anyone. What do you say, Rebecca? Do we have a deal?

Kate: Alison.

Alison: Kate. I didn't even -- I didn't hear you come in.

Kate: I've got some good news.

Alison: Oh, good. I can really use some. What's going on?

Kate: Your bail's been set, and it's been posted.

Alison: What? Does that mean I can leave? I can go?

Kate: That's right, you're free to go.

Alison: But how? They told me that I wasn't going to even get bail.

Kate: Seems you've got some friends in high places. Somebody pulled a few strings.

Alison: Oh, right. Nana. I knew she would come through. She probably came back from her trip from Italy early.

Kate: No, Alison, it wasn't your grandmother.

Alison: It wasn't? Who was it, then?

Lucy: It was me, Alison. I bailed you out.

Ed: I've been looking for you, James.

James: Let me guess -- this has to do with young Rafe.

Ed: And Alison. I want you to leave them alone.

James: Sorry. I can't oblige. Ink's already dry on the contract. He's mine now.

Ed: Ok, James, the fun is over. You've gone far enough.

James: Expressions of violence do not contribute to building a suitable atmosphere. Well, I see you haven't lost your touch.

Ed: You haven't seen anything yet. I'm putting a stop to you, James.

James: A little late for that, isn't it? I've already got what I want. I have his soul.

Ed: And you're happy with that, huh?

James: Why wouldn't I be? He's an angel. It's everything I've ever wanted.

Ed: Everything?

James: Well, you have to admit, it's quite an achievement.

Ed: Oh, I suppose so -- if you're aiming low.

James: All right, what's that supposed to mean?

Ed: James, what if I told you that there's more to be had? Hmm?

Kate: I just have to fill out some paperwork, and then you're out of here.

Alison: Ok, good. The sooner, the better.

Kate: And you'll be ok until I get back?

Alison: Yeah. Yeah, I am fine. Thank you for asking. Lucy, I don't know how to thank you for what you've done. But I want you to know -- Lucy, I swear to you, I did not hurt Kevin. And I don't know what the police or anybody else have been telling you, but I promise you, I did not kill him.

Lucy: I know. Listen, I really -- I don't think you did. And part of the reason I don't think so is because I do not believe that Kevin is dead. I don't. As sure as I'm standing here, I know he's still alive. And in my heart, I know he's fine and he's alive. It's just all this evidence. I know it's wrong, that's all.

Alison: Listen to me. I don't think he's dead, either. I really don't, and that's why I need to get back to the barn right now.

Lucy: Why? What's in the barn?

Alison: The portrait.

Lucy: What -- what portrait? What?

Alison: Rebecca.

Lucy: You think -- wait a minute. You think that portrait in the barn has something to do with -- what are you talking about?

Alison: Lucy, I just -- I think that Rebecca knows where Kevin is. In fact, I'm sure of it.

Karen: I can't stop myself, Ricky. I want you.

Ricky: I want you, too, Karen.

Karen: I don't know how this is happening, but to tell you the truth, I don't care.

Ricky: You are incredible, you know that?

Karen: And you are so hot. I want you to make love to me.

Ricky: Oh, Karen.

Karen: No, wait. Wait, wait, wait. What am I doing? This is awful. I'm just what Frank said I was.

Ricky: No, no, no, no, no. That is not true, Karen. You know that.

Karen: I know it's wrong, but I just want to make love to you. Oh, what does this say about me? What am I turning into?

Ricky: Wait, wait.

Karen: What? What's going on?

Ricky: You're not turning into anything, Karen. Wait, wait, wait.

Karen: What?

Ricky: Karen.

Karen: What?

Ricky: Stop.

Karen: What's going on?

Ricky: Look, I -- I haven't really been honest with you.

Karen: What do you mean?

Ricky: Look, I would -- would love to take responsibility for making you feel this way tonight --

Karen: Mm-hmm.

Ricky: But I can't. I had a little help.

Karen: What kind of help?

Ricky: Wait.

Ricky: This candle. It's called Desire. It changes people's moods. It makes people do -- well, what we were about to do.

Karen: Oh, my God. So it's true. Frank was right all along? And you were going to use one of them on me so I would sleep with you? That's disgusting. That's like drugging a girl to get her into bed. I don't believe this.

Ricky: Karen -- Karen, I didn't think that it was really --

Karen: Well, you're damn right you didn't think.

Ricky: Look, I'm sorry.

Karen: Where did you get this? And how do you know about these candles?

Ricky: Ok, look -- you remember that day in the Recovery Room when Frank went psycho?

Karen: Yeah, yeah, of course I do.

Ricky: Well, it was because of this candle. I kind of lit it around him.

Karen: What?

Ricky: I know. I know. I'm sorry. I just wanted to see if it worked, ok? So I tested it on him.

Karen: How could you do that? Because of your stupid prank, Frank ended up in the psych ward. What kind of sick person are you?

James: So, dear old Dad has an offer for me?

Ed: Oh, James, please, spare me your unholier-than-thou attitude, ok?

James: And you can save your breath -- and your offers.

Ed: I suggest you listen to the offer.

James: Why should I? I've got everything I want. Your son -- he's an angel. I mean, it's kind of like winning the Publishers Clearinghouse, don't you think?

Ed: My son didn't really understand what he was getting into, James.

James: Oh, I beg to differ. Trading his soul to be with Alison. He knew very well the price he had to pay.

Ed: And you, of course, did not influence him, did you? You didn't tempt him, you didn't egg him on?

James: Of course I did. Of course I did. That's my job. But love was all the temptation he needed -- a lifetime of it in exchange for eternal damnation. Oh, it's wonderfully stupid, isn't it? And it works every time. Yes, it's people like Rafe who keep me in business.

Ed: That's because you play on their emotions, James, prey on their weakness. You are pathetic, James.

James: Flatter, flatter, flatter.

Ed: Well, this isn't getting us anywhere, James.

James: Yes, I agree. So you'll understand if I bid you adieu.

Ed: But I do suggest you listen to my offer.

James: But you have nothing left that could change the deal, nothing I want that badly.

Ed: You're wrong, James. You are so wrong. What if I told you I had the one thing that could make you tear up the contract with Rafe? Would that interest you?

Alison: God, Lucy, I'm so glad that you believe me.

Lucy: Wait, wait, wait, wait. What I believe is that Kevin is still alive. But if what you're telling me is true --

Alison: It is. It is.

Lucy: Then that sort of explains all these really strange feelings I've been having all along.

Alison: Yeah, I'm sure it does. Now, listen, do you know how long this is going to take? Because we need to get out of here.

Lucy: Yeah, if you're certain she can tell us -- Rebecca can tell us what happened to Kevin.

Alison: Yes, yes, I am, but we really need to hurry.

Lucy: But you're sure? She can explain -- confirm that he's still alive?

Alison: Well, I don't know about that.

Lucy: You just told me you discussed it with her. What do you mean?

Alison: I know. We did. We did.

Lucy: Well, what did she say?

Alison: Well, she didn't really open up to me, you know, about Kevin. She's afraid of him.

Lucy: Why would she be afraid of Kevin?

Alison: Because she feels like he's like the others -- you know, the ones that are responsible for her death.

Lucy: What are you talking about?

Alison: All right, listen to me. When Rebecca was alive, she was accused for killing a minister. She didn't do it, she was innocent, but the townspeople -- they hated her so much, that they sort of felt like -- well, Lucy, they thought she was a witch, and so they framed her and then they hanged her.

Lucy: What does this have to do with Kevin?

Alison: Well, she kind of feels like we're connected, you know, that I'm like her and that Kevin is like the people that killed her.

Lucy: Oh, my God. Wait a minute. So Kevin's disappearance -- you think maybe she took him because she blames him somehow for some twisted thing that happened in her past ages ago?

Alison: I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't exactly understand all of it myself. All I know is that Rebecca is the key to finding Kevin.

Lucy: Oh, I hope so. Listen, I'm going to do whatever it takes to find Kevin. You know that.

Alison: Ok.

Kate: Papers are in order. You're free to go.

Alison: Great. Great. Thank you, Kate, for all that you've done. I really appreciate it. And you, too, Lucy.

Kate: Ok, I'll be in touch soon.

Alison: Great.

Lucy: All right, then, Alison, let's go see what your Rebecca has to say for herself.

Alison: Ok, come on.

Livvie: Come on, Rebecca. Please, time is running out for Alison. If she's convicted of killing my father, she can go to jail for a really long time and maybe even put to death. And you will never see her again. Please, just tell me what I want to know. Talk to me, please! If Alison didn't kill my father, then where he is? Please, just tell me where he is. Ok. You don't want to tell me what I want to know? Fine. I get it. But what you don't know is I've dealt with your kind before and I've destroyed them, and I will do the same to you. So either you go back to where you came from, or I'll bring hell to you. But either way, you will be out of our lives for good.

Ricky: I guess I deserved that.

Karen: Actually, you deserve a lot more than that.

Ricky: Look, Karen --

Karen: No, forget it, ok? There's no excuse for what you did.

Ricky: You're right. You're right. You're absolutely right, ok? And you have every right to be mad at me. But I want you to know why I did it.

Karen: Well, it seems pretty obvious to me.

Ricky: No. No, no, it wasn't for the sex, ok? Karen, I really like you, and I don't know if it was that I was missing Casey or what, but I just wanted to be close with you.

Karen: Well, you picked one hell of a way to do it. What you did was wrong, Ricky, and what you did to Frank was even more horrible. I had him committed because of you.

Ricky: I know. I know. I know -- I was such a jerk for doing that. But I want you to know that that's not what I set out to do, ok? I went to the Recovery Room that day to tell him the truth, to tell him that it was this candle that was making him crazy. And he just got all up in my face and -- I -- I did something really stupid, and I am really, really sorry for it.

Karen: At least you finally admitted it. I suppose I should be grateful for that.

Ricky: Yeah, and I'm -- I'm really feeling a lot better now that it's out in the open.

Karen: So what is it about this hunk of wax that makes people go nuts?

Ricky: I don't know.

Karen: Well, it sure has caused a lot of grief.

Ricky: Wait, Karen, where are you going?

Karen: I am going to run every test possible I can on this thing, and then I'm going to go to Frank because he's going to be relieved to know that it was the candle all along. Then we can get our lives back together.

Ricky: Hey, Karen -- Karen -- this whole stupid thing about tonight -- let's just forget it ever happened, right?

Karen: I wouldn't push my luck, Garza.

Ricky: Right. Real, real, real good, Ricky. Not only did you strike out, but you push her right back into Frank's arms. Definitely, definitely not one of your better dates.

Alison: Lucy, wait. I'm serious, I think that you should wait out here.

Lucy: Look, I want to go in -- no, I want to go in. I want to talk to Rebecca myself.

Alison: No. But she's never showed anyone herself but me.

Lucy: Ok, I'll tell you what -- I'll go in behind you and I'll just sneak in and I'll be quiet as a little mouse. I won't say a word, I promise. I'll just listen.

Alison: No, it won't work that way. It doesn't work. One time I was here talking to Rebecca about Kevin, and Jamal showed up and she disappeared back into the portrait.

Lucy: Well, of course, I'm not Jamal. I think Rebecca would sense that.

Alison: No, I --

Lucy: Look, Alison, I need to hear what happened to my Doc with my own two ears from that woman. Please.

Alison: But, Lucy, if she never shows up, then there won't be anything to hear. Do you really want to take that chance?

Lucy: No. Ok, I'll tell you what -- you go in there, but you do whatever it takes --

Alison: I will --

Lucy: Do you understand?

Alison: Yes.

Lucy: Whatever it takes to find out what happened to him.

Alison: Yes, I promise. I promise. Just trust me.

Lucy: I'm right here, ok?

Alison: Rebecca it's -- oh, my God, no. Lucy! Lucy!

Lucy: Alison, what --

Alison: Lucy. Lucy, they destroyed it.

Lucy: The portrait. What happened to the portrait?

Alison: They've destroyed my Rebecca.

James: Oh, my, my, my. Just when I thought I'd heard everything, you introduce a brand-new proposal.

Ed: Do we have a deal, James?

James: Would you be so kind as to repeat the offer?

Ed: No, you heard it the first time.

James: I just wanted to make sure my ears weren't deceiving me. That's an intriguing proposal.

Ed: Ah, so glad you like it.

James: You must truly love that boy. Well, I just hope that he's aware of what lengths Daddy dearest is going to.

Ed: James, I strongly suggest you don't tell him. Now, do we have a deal?

James: Oh, I don't know about that. I need some time to mull this over.

Ed: This is only on the table right at this moment. You take it or you leave it.

James: Then you give me no choice. Uncork the champagne, Master Ed. You've got yourself a deal.

Livvie: Oh, my God. It's you.

>> Stay tuned for scenes from the next "Port Charles: Superstition."

>> On the next "Port Charles" --

Jack: You and Alison are getting closer again, huh?

Jamal: I never stopped loving her, and I want her back.

Lucy: Alison, what are you saying?

Alison: I'm saying that Livvie deliberately did this! She killed Rebecca.

Livvie: And you come running to Alison's rescue. Well, not this time, Rafe.
