Jamal: How long does it take for a couple of sandwiches?
Doree: Doesn't look like she's in here, Commissioner, or in the bike shop.
Officer: Or in her apartment or at her grandmother's.
Mac: Well, she's in town somewhere. We know that much.
Doree: But where?
Mac: Check the hospital, all right? Check the barn. Meet me back at the unit ASAP.
Doree: Yes, sir.
Mac: I can't put this off much longer.
Serena: Yes -- I got the 10.
Lucy: She got -- see? That's a pair. That's two.
Serena: Ok, what one are you going to take?
Lucy: Turn any one over.
Mac: Ian, it's Mac. Look, but if Lucy's there, don't mention my name, will you?
Ian: No problem.
Mac: The forensic results are back, and the blood we found on that sweater in the trunk of the car? Alison Barrington's car? It's Kevin's. Ian?
Ian: I'm still here.
Mac: We have enough to arrest Alison for murder.
Ian: You do what you're doing there, and I'll -- I'll take care of things here.
Mac: So you'll tell Lucy?
Jack: This is probably pretty bad.
Alison: That's ok. I don't really think that I'd be able to tell good from bad right now. I'm sure that I wouldn't be able to make any sort of a mocha or muffin worth eating or drinking, that's --
Jack: I think it's in your head, Alison.
Alison: Jack, I feel so far away from that girl that I once was, who made muffins and lattes in the bike shop and stuff, you know?
Jack: No, no. That's not what I'm talking about.
Alison: Then what?
Alison: Oh, so, then, Jamal told you.
Jack: You know, I mean, your great-great-great-grandmother doesn't really come out of a portrait and talk to you.
Alison: Jack, I'm not making this up. Rebecca really does talk to me, and she's real. And I think that she's the one person who knows why Kevin disappeared. Why doesn't somebody believe me?
Jack: No, no, no --
Alison: I keep on talking about this. I'm --
Jack: No, listen -- no, Alison, listen to me, ok? I just don't think the cops will. I'm not saying that I don't completely believe you. But maybe you shouldn't tell the cops --
Alison: Don't you think I know this? Don't you think that I know how crazy this sounds? But, still, it is the truth. I'm telling you. And if Rebecca's the one person in the world who knows where Kevin is or somehow can help me find him --
Jack: Alison, hold on. Listen to me. I'm on your side.
Alison: Jack --
Jack: Rebecca -- you said, "Rebecca," "one person in the world." I --
Alison: What am I going to do? Tell me.
Jack: Hey. It's going to be ok. All right?
Livvie: How would you know? How cozy.
Rafe: No, no -- no, Alison -- Alison -- come on! James, bring the picture back! Come on, bring it back! You can't do this to me, James. Just show me a little more, show me a little more. You can't leave it like this. Come on. Come on. Come on, James! James, I know where you live! And I know how to get there. All right! You want me to cross over to the dark again? Fine! I'm here! Come on, James. Stop playing games, James! Show yourself!
James: "Games, James." There's a rhyme.
Rafe: Please. Please, show me more. Please.
James: Oh, you poor, poor lovesick fool. If I had a heart, it would tremble to think of the agony that you must suffer, not knowing her fate.
Rafe: Help me.
James: Of course, Master Rafe. Your wish is my command. I will tell you how Alison is faring at this very moment and how her sad, sad story ends.
[Captioning made possible by ABC, Inc., and SOAPnet]
Rafe: What do you mean, how her story ends? Is she ok?
Rafe: No, you tell me what's going on!
James: Dear boy, expressions of violence do not contribute to a suitable atmosphere!
Rafe: Fine! Then you tell me, kind sir, what is happening to Alison?
James: That's better! Well, I can tell you she's the picture of health -- though she's been accused of murder.
Rafe: I still can't believe that they think she killed Kevin.
James: And she will likely be convicted.
Rafe: Where is she now?
James: As I told you, master Rafe, when you first crossed our threshold, I can give you the answers to all of your questions. I can quench all of your desires once we have established a business arrangement.
Rafe: Whoa -- whoa, whoa, whoa. I never said I'd sign that.
James: The papers are a mere formality.
Rafe: Yeah, but if I sign that --
James: If you sign this, you'll have access to everything you could ever possibly want.
Rafe: All I want is to know that Alison's ok and that she will be ok.
James: Then sign this document and let's move on. We can get you back to earth, my fine, feathered friend, to be with your Alison, to defend her, to dry her eyes, to bring her joy. She'd be so grateful. Can't you just see her eyes, glistening with tears of relief and love? Well? Do you want it or not?
James: Ah. Oh, excellent.
Rafe: But I can't sign that. I can't give up my soul, James.
James: I do admire your fortitude, master Rafe. In fact, I bow to you.
Rafe: You -- you do?
James: And if you're unwilling to give up your soul for her sake, I'm fairly sure that Alison won't hesitate to relinquish hers -- for you.
Alison: Livvie, you've got the wrong idea here.
Livvie: No, I don't think so, Alison. I knew you'd be here. That's why I came by to pick up the rest of my stuff. And I figured we could all sit down and maybe get things out in the open. Jack, I hope you remembered to change the sheets.
Alison: Oh, my God.
Jack: Livvie, there's nothing going on with me and Alison, and you know it.
Livvie: I do?
Jack: You should in your heart.
Livvie: Heart? Yeah, I stopped listening to that when it told me to trust you, before --
Alison: Livvie, I did nothing to your father. I didn't hurt him. I promise you on my life.
Livvie: Your life means nothing to me, Alison.
Alison: How can you say that to me?
Livvie: Because you're a witch, that's why. And after everything else I've been through, don't expect me to ever believe another word out of your mouth.
Alison: What are you -- I don't even -- I don't even know what to say to that!
Livvie: Try nothing!
Jack: All right, all right. Grab your stuff and go. We don't need this drama right now.
Livvie: Grab my stuff? This is my house, Jack. I'll leave whenever I want to leave.
Jamal: Hey --
Jack: Oh, my God.
Alison: Jamal --
Jamal: Come on, let's go.
Jack: Jamal, what's --
Alison: What's the matter?
Jamal: Come on, they're coming for you. Let's go. Come on.
Jack: Who is? Who is?
Jamal: The cops. Come on, they found Kevin's sweater in the back of your car.
Jamal: In the back --
Jack: In her car?
Jamal: Yeah, in the back of her car.
Jack: Oh, my gosh.
Livvie: How? And you're acting like you don't know?
Alison: I don't!
Livvie: Yeah, well, tell that to the cellmates when you're on death row, Alison.
Alison: Will you stop this? Why are you doing this? Please!
Livvie: Please what, Alison? You murdered my father!
Alison: No, I didn't!
Jamal: Alison, just forget it, ok? Don't try to change her mind. Not now, ok? Because the minute they come and find you, they're going to arrest you.
Alison: But they can't.
Jamal: Ali, come here. Look into my eyes, ok? You got to get out of here because sooner or later, they're going to come here looking for you. And once you get brought in, the system takes over, and who the heck knows what's going to happen to you.
Jack: You know what? Jamal's right. They're going to find out sooner or later. We need to get out of here while we can.
Jamal: That's right.
Jack: Ok? Let's go. Come on.
Alison: I guess you're both right, but I know that I'm innocent.
Livvie: No, I don't think so.
Alison: Livvie, what are you doing?
Livvie: No one's going anywhere.
Lucy: Ok, concentrate. You're getting warmer. The two with the black dots. Two black dots.
Serena: Come on, Christina.
Lucy: Concentrate, come on --
Serena: How about this one?
Lucy: No -- you're not supposed to tell her!
Serena: I'm just trying to help her!
Lucy: I know. Ok, let's see, let's see, let's see -- yay!
Serena: All right, baby sister.
Lucy: We got it -- yay.
Ian: Serena, do me a favor. I --
Serena: Hey, Ian. You want to play?
Lucy: Uh -- he's probably not very good at this game. But, you know, you can because I checked -- he's fine. Danny's fine. He's sleeping. What, is everything ok?
Ian: Um -- what do you mean?
Lucy: Well, on the -- the phone. Hey, black three. Remember? We're looking for a black three now.
Ian: Lucy, I -- Serena, do me a favor.
Lucy: What --
Ian: Christina needs to get some rest. Just take her upstairs, would you please?
Serena: Christina's not sleepy. Are you?
Serena: See? No one's ready to take a nap.
Lucy: Uh -- sweet pea, I think -- I think you need to maybe not nap. You know, you could go upstairs, take Christina upstairs and check on Danny, and I need you to do that now, ok?
Serena: Mom, what's going on? If something's wrong, I want to be here for you.
Lucy: I know. I appreciate that. But what I need you to do right now is take Christina upstairs and check on Danny, ok? Here, take the cards. You guys can play cards and -- listen, if I need you, I promise I'll find you. I promise, ok?
Lucy: Ok, ok. Go, go.
Serena: Come on, Christina.
Lucy: Go, Christina. I'll see you in -- check on Danny, too, ok?
Lucy: Yeah. Ok. Tell me what.
Ian: Maybe you should sit down.
Lucy: No. Say it. What -- who was on the phone?
Lucy: Mac. And what did Mac say?
Ian: They found Kevin's sweater in Alison's car.
Lucy: Well, that's ok. It's just a sweater in a --
Ian: And it had blood on it.
Lucy: Kevin's blood? Ok, then. Ok.
Ian: They're tracking down Alison now, and they will call us as soon as it's done.
Lucy: Right. Uh -- what exactly is that -- "done?" "Done" what?
Ian: The police feel and Mac feels that they've got enough evidence to --
Lucy: Enough evidence for what? To -- to arrest Alison? Is that it?
Ian: To presume -- to presume that --
Lucy: Presume what?
Ian: Presume that Kevin's dead.
Rafe: You sick, lying --
James: Oh -- flattery. Stop it, Rafe. You're making me blush.
Rafe: Alison will never sell her soul to you. She knows better.
James: You know already that she's taken the first steps with the candles and the witchcraft, and she did that in order to hang on to you. But now she's dabbling in the black arts. And surprise, surprise, she's a natural -- and with a soul comparatively without blemish.
Rafe: Leave her alone, James.
James: Me? Me? Oh, I won't lift a finger. I mean, there's no need to. Alison reached out to us. She made first contact.
Rafe: She didn't know what she was doing. They were just candles.
James: Ignorance -- such a sad excuse. But never fear. We have a place waiting for her. We can always find room for a young, lovely face.
Rafe: Wait -- young?
James: Oh, yes, of course. And if things continue like this -- well, Alison will be joining our ranks rather soon.
Rafe: How soon?
James: Are you certain that you want to know?
James: Well, then I shall tell you -- she gets arrested and tried. And fried, angel. Tried and fried.
Jamal: Livvie, get out of the way.
Livvie: Make me.
Jamal: Look, I will if I have to.
Livvie: Then go ahead and do it. What, you think she can just run and hide after what she's done?
Alison: Livvie, I haven't done anything!
Jack: Look, come on --
Livvie: No, get your hands off me, Jack! My father is dead and you're trying to help the witch who murdered him in cold blood?
Jack: Listen to what you're saying.
Jamal: Look, Jack, don't even worry about it. We'll go out the back door, ok?
Jack: We got -- we got company. Go. We got company. The cops are here.
Jamal: All right. Come on.
Alison: Wait, Jamal. Are you sure that we have to do this?
Jack: Go, go! The cops are here! Go! Go on! Go!
Livvie: Mac, hurry up. They went around the back.
Mac: Livvie, you just stay out of the way, all right? Stay down.
Jamal: All right, all right.
Jamal: Just be cool, ok? Nobody's looking for any trouble.
Doree: Oh, no? Well, you found it. Just keep backing up.
Alison: Listen, this is over. This is done. I am innocent. I have done nothing wrong.
Mac: Yeah, well, you're the only one who thinks so. Turn around and stay put so I don't hurt you.
Livvie: I'm going to make sure you pay for this, Alison.
Jack: Would you shut up?
Livvie: I swear to God.
Alison: I haven't done anything.
Mac: Alison Barrington, you're under arrest for the murder of Dr. Kevin Collins. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.
Lucy: No, no, no, no, no. No, no, no --
Ian: You've got to listen to me --
Lucy: No, no, I don't because I don't -- I don't believe it.
Ian: The call was from Mac.
Lucy: I don't care who it was from. I don't believe it. He is not gone. He's not dead. I -- I would know that.
Ian: Ok. We can't ignore --
Lucy: I can ignore them because the police make mistakes sometimes. You know that. You also know I would feel if he was gone, and Kevin wouldn't just leave me like that. He makes promises that he keeps. You know, he promised to paint Christina's portrait, and he promised me, and I'd stake my life on the fact he does not ever break his promises. He always keeps them.
Ian: I know --
Lucy: No --
Ian: He would, but --
Lucy: He always keeps them, Ian! He always does! He promises and he keeps it -- period.
Ian: What I'm telling you is you ought to be prepared --
Lucy: I'm not preparing myself for anything because those police people are just wrong. They don't want to hear the truth that he's not gone, he's just missing, and I'm going to -- I'm going to find him. And I know how I'm going to do it, too.
Ian: How will you --
Lucy: I'm going to use my stuff -- you know, my things -- my cards and my crystals. And they will give me a reading to tell me where he is, and then I will find him. It's very simple.
Ian: Lucy --
Lucy: No. No, no. I'm going to get something, Doc. Come on. Give me a sign. Just a simple sign.
Ian: Listen --
Lucy: No, I don't want to listen. I want to keep doing this. Ian, please let me keep doing this.
Ian: There might be a reason --
Lucy: No, there's no -- there's no reason that this isn't working. It will work because if he were dead, I would know it. You know me. You know I would know that. It'd be like this huge, gigantic hole was ripped out of my universe and I would feel it. You know that that's how it would be.
Ian: How come it's not?
Lucy: I don't know. I don't know. I can't -- I can't -- I can't quite see. You know, it's like I've walked into this room and it's my life -- looks like my life, feels like my life -- but there's this fog, and the fog is clouding everything. It's everywhere. It's coating everything, and I -- I fl Doc's presence and I reach out to him. I can feel him. But I -- I just can't get to him. I -- I can't reach him. But I know he's there.
Ian: All I'm telling you is be prepared for the possibility that --
Lucy: Be prepared?
What? No. No, no. I'm not prepared -- he's not gone and he's not dead. He's just missing, that's all. He's just missing.
Jamal: Come on, she didn't do it.
Mac: If that's the case, it'll come out in court.
Jamal: Look, baby, you're going to be ok, I promise, all right?
Jack: Don't say a word, Alison, all right? We're going to contact your family lawyer, ok?
Alison: Ok, ok.
Mac: Come on, let's go.
Jack: It will be ok. It will be ok.
Jamal: We'll meet you downtown at the station, all right?
Jack: Hey, I'm going to grab my keys. I'll be right back. Well, looks like you had a good view of all the fun. Are you happy?
Livvie: My father is dead, Jack. What do you think?
Jack: Well, I think I wish you were in Alison's shoes right now.
Livvie: Well, sorry. I'm not a murderer.
Jack: Oh, no, that's right. No one ever accused you of anything you were innocent of.
Livvie: Will you stop it? I kept trying to warn you that something bad was going to happen, but you wouldn't listen to me. Oh, no, you just -- you need some time, right? You need to figure things out. But guess what, Jack -- you had your time and now my father is dead! And you're just as responsible for it as Alison. What do you think about that, huh?
Jack: I think I don't recognize you anymore.
Livvie: Good, because then we're even because I don't know who you are, either. I've lost my dad, and all you care about is what's going to happen to Alison. So you know what? The two of you deserve each other. I can't believe you're doing this to me, Jack. You can go to hell.
Livvie: You can all go to hell.
Jamal: Look, just hang in there, ok? It'll all work out. I promise.
Rafe: You can't have her soul. I won't let you.
James: Stuck up in the clouds, there's nothing much you can do. Now, if you could somehow manage to get yourself back to earth -- ah, that would change everything. Oh, you could sweep up your Alison in your fairy-tale arms and ride off entwined into the sunset. And what wouldn't any true lover give for one perfect moment of bliss?
Rafe: I'd give anything.
James: Yes. And all that I'm asking for is one used soul. Oh, say yes and free yourself of the tyranny of these -- these trifling emotions of mind and of will. Say yes and I promise that you'll never -- you'll never miss them. There's only one question that you have to ask here -- how much do you really love this girl? When you answer that question, you'll know exactly what you have to do. How much do you love --
James: Yes? Be certain. Now, you must be certain. No refunds, no exchanges.
James: "Yes." Yes. Well, that's it, then, clever angel. You sign here, and I promise you all of your wishes, all of your dreams, your heart's desires, will all come true. Prove how much you love Alison. Prove it.
>> On the next "Port Charles" --
James: This is not a negotiation.
Rafe: That's exactly what it is. Now, shut up and listen.
Livvie: Alison's not going to get away with this, Jack. I'm going to make sure of that. But the only question is, are you with me on this or not?
