Chris: Hey, you looking for someone?
Amy: I didn't know anyone was in here.
Chris: Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to surprise you.
Amy: It's ok.
Chris: Actually, I was waiting for you to get back.
Amy: Well, I'd love to chat, but now's not a good time.
Chris: No, it won't take long. It's about what I was talking to you earlier. It's the -- figured out where I'd seen you before. It was in Philadelphia.
Amy: Well, I've never been to Philadelphia.
Amy: You must be thinking of somebody else.
Chris: No, not when I'm looking right at you.
Amy: Excuse me?
Chris: Well, I -- I'm holding a photograph. I know you can't see it. It was taken in a bar in Philadelphia. I'm in it, and so are you. Why would you lie to me about this?
Rafe: Don't you ever lay a hand on her!
Jamal: Go ahead, kill me, Rafe.
Alison: Please, don't, Rafe! I'm serious! Stop it, he can't breathe. You're going to kill him! Stop it. Stop! Stop! Stop. You scared me. Jamal, I'm so sorry.
Alison: Do you need some water or something? Do you want to sit down?
Jamal: Just stop! I don't want your help, Alison. I don't want anything from you.
Alison: You don't mean that.
Jamal: I mean it. Besides, looks like you got a new hero now.
Jack: Lucy --
Livvie: Lucy! What happened? Where's my dad?
Lucy: He's in there.
Livvie: Oh, no.
Lucy: No, no, no. Listen, it's going to be ok. You listen to me. We have come too far and worked too hard to have him in our lives. We're not going to lose him now.
Livvie: But he's --
Lucy: No, no buts. No buts. We're going to do whatever it takes to keep him with us, if we have to pray, if we have to will for it to happen. We cannot lose him now. We won't -- we won't lose him now.
Colleen: Here's the CAT scan you ordered.
Eve: What does it show?
Ian: No bleeds, generalized swelling. Closed head injury.
Eve: No --
Ian: We've got to move fast or we're going to lose him.
Eve: Oh, no. We need an E.E.G. and a neuro consult.
Ian: No time for that. We already know there's no bleeding.
Eve: But we need an E.E.G. To make sure. What are you doing?
Ian: Administering steroids and Canitol, 100 milligrams. I'm inducing a coma.
Eve: Ian, no! Don't!

Rafe: Wait, what did I walk in on here? Did he hurt you? What --
Alison: No, no. Jamal was just saying that he was leaving me. And I was trying to get him to talk to me and to really just talk with me, and I pulled him. And I fell, and it was an accident.
Rafe: Jamal, I'm sorry.
Jamal: Save it. All right?
Rafe: No. No, I mean, I walked in here, and I saw what I saw, and --
Jamal: And you rode right to the rescue, yeah. Look, I got it, all right? Rafe, it's cool, man.
Alison: No, it's not cool! None of this is cool. We really need to talk. I'm serious.
Rafe: Yeah, I'll go.
Jamal: No, no. Not you. Stay, Rafe. In fact, you know what? Make yourself at home, ok? Ali, you know what? No more talking. I got my mind made up. Ok, you and me, we don't work anymore. It's time to cut our losses, all right?
Alison: Oh, Jamal. Please, what are you saying to me? That you don't love me anymore? Because, Jamal, I don't believe that. And I will never believe that.
Jamal: Well, believe it. What, do you want me to say it? I'll say the words, Alison.
Jamal: I don't love you anymore.
Eve: How could you take that risk?
Ian: I had to.
Eve: You induced a coma without an E.E.G. We needed to fully assess his condition before you ever made that call!
Ian: There was no time. His life was at stake, doctor.
Eve: And you just threw away any chance we had of trying something else.
Ian: There wasn't any chance to try anything else. I wasn't just going to sit here and wait.
Eve: The only thing we can do now is wait. Because the only thing we do know is that he may never come out of this.
Victor: Lucy. Livvie. How's Monk?
Lucy: Well, we're not quite sure. We're waiting to hear.
Lucy: So --
Livvie: Ian, what's going on?
Ian: We had a bit of a scare with some swelling on the brain, but he seems to have stabilized now.
Mary: Oh, thank God.
Eve: That's not everything.
Livvie: What does that mean?
Ian: I made an unconventional choice to reduce the workload on the brain and prevent a seizure.
Victor: In English?
Ian: In order to keep Kevin alive, I had to put him in a coma.
Livvie: My dad's in a coma?
Lucy: It's ok. It's going to be ok. If Ian says that's what's best for him, I trust him. I have faith in him.
Ian: I'll let you know as soon as you can see him, ok?
Lucy: Thank you.
Victor: Well, how did this happen? What -- how did he get this way?
Lucy: I don't know. I'm not sure what exactly happened. I found him out in the snowstorm. He was lying down, being covered with snow, and a live electrical wire was lying right beside him. And he must've been shocked. And, oh, my God, he could've been lying out there for hours, freezing to death.
Livvie: No, no, no. Wait a minute. He told Paige that he was walking me to my car. How could he have been out there for so long without her even noticing?
Lucy: I don't know. Unless she believed he came back in the house, maybe, and just didn't realized he hadn't?
Livvie: And you didn't check? I mean, weren't you worried?
Paige: Well, I didn't --
Livvie: What kind of woman are you? You knew my father was coming back to the attic, and you did nothing. I mean, you didn't even think to go look for him. What is wrong with you?
Victor: Livvie, Livvie --
Livvie: Why are you even here? Why didn't you just stay where you came from? Couldn't you see that my father was happy? If he dies, it is all your fault, Paige. It's your fault!
Rafe's Voice: You have to tell us. Now, there are four of us, but five chairs. So someone's got to be coming back with us, right? Someone's going to die.
Ed's Voice: People die every day.
Rafe's Voice: Right, but this is different, isn't it? It's going to be someone who's close to one of us.
Paige: They don't understand. I didn't, either, but now I do. Now I know exactly why I've come back into Kevin's life.
Amy: I'm not lying, Chris. The woman in the picture may look like me, but she's not.
Chris: Unless you have an identical twin floating around out there. This is an exact match.
Amy: Well, then, let's just agree to disagree. I think I'd know if I'd been to Philadelphia.
Chris: Yeah, you'd think.
Amy: Why is this suddenly so important to you?
Chris: Well, let's just say I like to keep well-informed. And I don't like any surprises when I'm taking someone out.
Amy: Well, then, I'll make it easy for you. I'm breaking our date.
Amy: I don't need the third degree from someone I don't know over something that didn't happen.
Chris: Ok, ok. Fine. It's not you in the picture.
Amy: Thank you. What are you doing?
Chris: I'm storing the evidence. So, pick you up at 8:00 tomorrow?
Amy: Obviously, you didn't hear me. When I go out with someone, I like to be well-informed, too. And now I am. You're a complete ass.
Chris: So, that's a definite no?
Chris: Ok. Well, Amy, have a good life, I guess. See you in Philly.
Amy: I've got to get that picture.
Ian: What was the time of injection?
Eve: I was trying to stop it, remember?
Ian: That's how it's going to be, is it?
Eve: What do you think?
Ian: I think a couple of things -- number one, I made the right choice. Number two, you need to deal with it.
Eve: You made it unilaterally.
Ian: You're taking this personally?
Eve: Yes! Of course I am taking this personally. This is Kevin we are talking about. And you took it upon yourself to just charge in and save the day when we had other options.
Ian: I made the right professional choice.
Eve: In my professional opinion, doctor, you screwed up.
Livvie: I know I should've stayed with my dad. I was being such a brat, and then I left mad.
Jack: Hey, sweetie, your dad knows you love him.
Livvie: Yeah, but he was just trying to make things better, Jack. Like he always does for everyone. I mean, when I first came to Port Charles, he didn't even know me, and he helped me. He's been there for me every step of the way, and I haven't been there for him at all.
Jack: Don't do this.
Livvie: It's just that he's the best dad I could've ever asked for. And I haven't gotten to be his daughter long enough. I haven't shown him how lucky I feel to have him in my life.
Jack: Look, he knows. Trust me, he knows.
Victor: You, me, Monk. We've been through so much together. We have a long way to go yet.
Lucy: I know. Boy, have we been through a lot, huh? You know, I've waited so long to be with that man. Victor, I'm not about to give up on him now.
Victor: But you've never given up on him. You've brought such love into his life. I've never seen him happier.
Lucy: Good. I'm glad it's because of us. You know, it's because we're finally a real family. I know that's the one thing he wanted most of all in his life.
Ian: I'm going to tell Lucy and the rest of the family that they can come in. Unless there are any objections from the chief resident.
Eve: Would it matter if there were?
Lucy: Ian, what?
Ian: No changes, but if you want to go see him, this would be a good time.
Livvie: You go ahead, Lucy, ok? Because I'm not quite ready yet.
Victor: Any change?
Eve: No. No, Victor, but we're just going to have to wait and see how he responds.
Lucy: Ok. Thank you, both of you. You kept him breathing, and, so you've done your part. And now I think it's up to all of us. Listen to me, it's us, his family --
Lucy: All our words and love that's going to make all the difference in Doc surviving.
Lucy: I believe that with all my heart. Ok.
Alison: I've heard you. Ok, I finally heard you. I'm not going to fight you on this anymore. I know it's over.
Rafe: Alison, no, come on --
Alison: No, I'm sorry. You know what? I'm so sorry, but I listened to what you had to say, and now you're going to listen to what I have to say. Jamal, I have been putting up with the way that you've been treating me this whole time because I knew -- listen to me! I'm serious! Because I knew that you were hurting. And I knew that you were blaming yourself for Valerie's death, even though it wasn't your fault, and you need to take it out on somebody, and that somebody was me. And that was fine. Because I really wanted to help you any way that I could. And I knew that you would look back on it, and that you would realize that Valerie's death was exactly what it was -- it was a tragic accident. Ok, and it was nobody's fault. You know, we used to turn to each other when things were really tough. God, we have been through so much. And now you're just -- you're throwing your life away because you think that it's somehow going to magically take care of Valerie's death or something. I don't know. You didn't do anything! She tried to kill me, and then she tried to kill you.
Jamal: She wouldn't have done anything.
Alison: Are you forgetting that?
Jamal: Look, I don't want to talk about this.
Alison: No, listen. I know you don't want to talk about this, but stop and listen to me! I never thought I'd ever say this to you. I don't even recognize you anymore. So if you want to get away from me, then why don't you go?
Alison: Why don't you leave, Jamal? Leave!
Alison: I'm sorry. I want you to go, too.
Chris: Did you find what you're looking for?
Alison: First you come barging in here like you're going to kill Jamal.
Rafe: Well, because I thought he was hurting you.
Alison: And then I kick him while he's down, and basically tell him to get out.
Rafe: No, that's not exactly how it happened.
Alison: Well, however it happened, it was awful! And all those stupid things that I said --
Rafe: Because you were hurting and angry. That's why you did that.
Alison: I know, and I still am, and I already told you to leave! Why haven't you left?
Rafe: Because I don't think you should be alone right now.
Alison: Oh, and you don't give a damn about what I want?
Rafe: Yes, yes, yes, I do! I do. It's just that, do you really know what you want?
Alison: Don't you under-- don't you understand how hard this is for me? I have loved Jamal for so long. I don't know what it feels like to not love him or be loved by him.
Rafe: Look, you know, maybe that's because you two were really meant to be together.
Alison: No, no, no. No, it's changed. And I never thought that it would change. But then there's you. And you complicate things for me.
Rafe: I'm sorry.
Rafe: All I ever really meant to do was --
Rafe: Be there for you.
Alison: And you have. And maybe that's part of the problem. See, I don't want you here. For me, for this. Ok? Not now. I don't want you consoling me because I can't deal with that. And I just -- I can't deal with you.
Alison: Livvie? What's the matter?
Livvie: My dad's in a coma, and I'm so scared he might die.
Alison: I'll be right there, ok, sweetie? Ok.
Rafe: What is it?
Alison: Livvie -- Kevin is in a coma, and he might die.
Lucy: Hey, Doc. It's me. I'm back from that overnight with Christina and Serena. We had such a wonderful time. Next time you have to go with us. I took lots of pictures, bought you lots of stuff, and -- listen, everybody's here outside. Victor and Mary and Jack and Livvie -- everybody, all your family. They're here because we're not letting you go anywhere. You know how you always tease me about us? You know, about what we have just defies all logic. Well, we defy everything, Doc, together. And that includes this. My love for you is bigger than anything I can explain. It's confusing, though, because you know I like to explain everything and try to tell everybody what the universe means. Well, all I know, I absolutely know for sure, is you. You're my hope. My love for you is so deep in my soul that do you know I can feel you every second of every single day? No matter where you are, no matter where I am, I feel you. And that feeling wraps me up and takes me to a place that I never, ever want to leave. So, Doc, please. Please, don't leave me. Please? Please, don't go. Don't leave!
Lucy: Doc? Oh, my God. Ian! Ian! Ian!
Ian: Two milligrams of Lorazepam I.V. Push!
Eve: Get out of the way, Lucy. We need a C.T. to ensure he doesn't have a bleed.
Lucy: What's happening?
Ian: Phenytoin loading dose.
Lucy: What's happening to him? Tell me! Ian! Oh, my God. Ian! Ian!
Kevin: Where am I?
Kevin: What's going on?
Paige: This is your destiny, Kevin. It's our destiny.
>> On the next "Port Charles" --
Chris: What could I possibly want from you?
Amy: My body. You do want to sleep with me, don't you?
Alison: He's going to be ok. He will.
Livvie: It's going to take a miracle.
Alison: So, tell her, Rafe. You're an angel. Tell her there's going to be a miracle.
Paige: It's time for you to leave this world and cross over to the next.
