Port Charles Transcript
Eve: So this is my fault. It's my fear, my imagination that is keeping Caleb alive and making him stronger. You think I'm obsessed? You think I'm out of control?
Ian: I never said that.
Eve: I am trying to protect our baby.
Ian: Our baby's fine. Look at him. He's fine. It's you I'm worried about. Look how you're behaving.
Eve: And you are behaving like what happened never really happened, that there's no such thing as vampires and that they don't go after innocent children.
Ian: All right. All right.
Eve: I know what I feel, Ian. I don't know why, but I know there's a reason and I know that our child is safer at home here with us.
Ian: Why, because this isn't a public place? Because you have to invite vampires into your house? Is that it?
Eve: Yes! Please stop fighting me on this.
Ian: Fine. We'll stay in here for the rest of our lives, prisoners of a ghost, and you'll be happy --
Eve: Ian --
Ian: And safe --
Eve: Ian --
Ian: And Caleb wins after all.
Lucy: Ok, so I know you're probably very, very angry at me for helping Eve get Ian and Eve's baby out of the hospital, but I had a very good reason. You know, I really --
Kevin: I'm not angry at you.
Lucy: You're not?
Kevin: No. I just want to hold you.
Lucy: Oh, Doc. I'm right here.
Kevin: I love you, Lucy.
Lucy: I love you very much. Are you ok? Did something happen? Where's Livvie?
Kevin: She's upstairs with Jack. She's resting. Jack mentioned that he ran into you at the catacombs, building a tomb for Caleb's spirit?
Lucy: Uh, yeah, well, Jack did most of the tombing. I sort of hammered a few nails.
Kevin: It make you feel better?
Lucy: No, not really.
Kevin: Sorry to hear that.
Lucy: I know. I wish I could just say this whole thing seems like a run of bad luck -- you know, Eve freaking out and Livvie freaking out and the snake showing up --
Kevin: It's not just a coincidence, is it?
Lucy: You know it's not.
Kevin: I don't know what I know anymore, Lucy.
Lucy: I think what you mean is you don't want to know what you know. Doc, but we can't turn away. Once the truth is out, you can't just cover it up again. You can't un-ring a bell, and once the evil's out there, there's no going back.
Livvie: Oh, Jack.
Jack: How you feeling?
Livvie: Like I'm going crazy.
Jack: Was it something you were dreaming or --
Livvie: I'm not sure. I'm -- I'm really not sure about anything anymore. Jack, I don't know what's real or what isn't.
Jack: No, you do. I know you do.
Livvie: No, Jack, I don't, I don't. I thought I saw that box in the catacombs and Caleb's ring, but no one else did. I'm the only one, Jack. I'm losing it.
Jack: All I know is we're going to get our life back. But it's not going to be easy. It's going to take time and it's going to take work, and I don't know how much or how long. But what I do know is that I love you, and nothing is ever going to change that.
Livvie: God, I want to believe you.
Jack: Then believe it. You're safe, Livvie.
Kevin: Lucy, what are you saying?
Lucy: It's like I'm hearing this voice from very, very far away telling me that things are still out of balance. They're just still out of balance.
Kevin: Well, maybe you're reading it wrong, whatever you're feeling.
Lucy: Wish I were, Doc. It's something awful and evil and dark and vengeful, like it wants revenge coming this way. It's almost totally --
Kevin: So Caleb is back?
Lucy: No, I don't know. It's not him. It's not him, per se. It's not a person, but it's something very real. It may not be of this world, but it's something very real. The signs are all there.
Kevin: What signs?
Lucy: Livvie freaking out and Eve worried about the baby and the snake. Everything's saying the same thing. Something is coming, something's happening.
Kevin: Well, maybe it's just kind of a mass hysteria, Lucy -- I mean, the feelings of paranoia and upset that all of us who came into contact with Caleb are prone to right now.
Lucy: Come on, you don't believe that. You really can't.
Kevin: No, you're right. And if there is something out there that's threatening the people that are close to us, the people that we care about -- some dark force --
Lucy: Ok, listen, I -- I sort of came up with this rather wacky, far-out idea, and when I mean "far-out," it's even far-out for me.
Kevin: Lucy, I don't care. Don't worry about far-out. If your gut is telling you something, let's just do it.
Jack: Hey. Hey. It's ok. It's -- it's ok, all right? Everything's fine just like it is. Let's just lay back down and try to get some rest. I'm here, I'm right here, all right? It's ok. I'm going to watch over you. Just -- just close your eyes.
Livvie: I'm scared to close them.
Jack: Hey, don't be.
Livvie: Jack, I'm almost afraid to breathe. I keep thinking if I just -- if I just lie still enough, then maybe it'll go away, maybe all the bad stuff will --
Jack: I know what it's like to want to wish something away.
Jack: Yeah. Like right now, I wish you were safe enough to lie here and close your eyes and let it all go. That's it. Everything's going to be all right. Everything's going to be just fine. You'll see. You'll see.
Caleb's Voice: Olivia. Olivia, come. Come to me.
Ian: Hey there, little man. You're very lucky that I'm your da. Because your mother, she is the most stubborn woman in the world. When she wants something, she'll have it. That's something we'll both have to get used to. I can see it now. She'll put two pair of little woolly gloves on you and silly hats when the temperature drops below 75 degrees. Lord knows what she's going to do when you start playing rugby with your other mates, how she's going to try and keep you safe. But we have to understand she does all these silly things because she's trying to protect you. She loves you very much. But you already know that, don't you? Well, don't forget it, ok? Not for a minute.
Eve: You know I'm awake, don't you?
Ian: I'm looking right at you.
Eve: Well, if this is your way of apologizing, it's working.
Ian: I'm glad. Maybe now it's your turn.
Eve: I'd be lying if I said I'm sorry I took the baby out of the hospital.
Eve: But -- ahem -- I am sorry about the way I did it. I know that if it had been me, I would've been so angry, they would've had to peel me off the ceiling. Can you forgive me?
Ian: Well, that depends.
Eve: On what?
Ian: Depends on you promising that you will never do anything like this again. This has to be a 50/50 partnership. Is that a deal?
Eve: Oh, it's a deal. I want us to be partners in every way.
Ian: Sounds like we both want the same thing. You and this wee one are my life. Don't forget that.
Eve: I won't.
Kevin: A circle of what?
Lucy: A circle of purity. Now, ok, just give me both your hands.
Kevin: Lucy, I don't know about this.
Lucy: I do know about this, trust me. Ok, now what you have to do here is just bear with me. And I know you can't really believe all the way, so just try not to not believe so much that it messes things up because we really want to get answers here, ok?
Kevin: Fair enough. I'll take them any way I can get them.
Kevin: What's next?
Lucy: All right, I'm going to read from my spell book, ok, and chant something, so just bear with me, all right?
Kevin: Should I close my eyes?
Lucy: If you want to.
Lucy: Ok, focus. You ready?
Lucy: Ok. Pravus praebeos datum. Pravus praebeos datum. Pravus praebeos datum.
Kevin: Lucy, do you know what you're saying?
Lucy: Yep. Yes, I know what I'm saying -- "evil, show yourself." Stop.
Kevin: Exactly. I thought we were supposed to banish evil, not invite it in.
Lucy: Doc, we want to find out what kind of evil we're dealing with. This spell will bind this dark spirit to something that it can manifest itself so it doesn't hurt us. That's what I'm trying to do. At least that's what I think I'm trying to do.
Kevin: You think? Lucy, maybe this isn't such a hot idea.
Lucy: Come on, Doc, you told me to go for it. That's what I'm doing.
Kevin: I know what I said. It's just I'm getting the feeling that maybe we're in over our heads here. I mean, Lucy, I love you, but you're not exactly an expert. Shh. Oh, Doc, I -- I feel something.
Kevin: Feel something? What does it feel like?
Lucy: It's here.
Kevin: What? What is it? Where?
Lucy: I don't know. It's everywhere. It's -- Doc, it's trying to find some form, some physical form that it can manifest itself in.
Kevin: All right, that's it.
Lucy: No. No, don't do it. Don't break the circle. We're almost there. Show yourself. I know you're here. Where are you? Show yourself. Let us see you. I know you can't hurt us. Please show yourself.
Lucy: Where? Oh!
Livvie: Jack? Jack. Jack? Jack?
Jack: What's going on?
Livvie: Now, who else would be in your bed at the witching hour?
Jack: Livvie? My God.
Livvie: You like it?
Jack: Uh -- wow. Look at you.
Livvie: You look, Jack. Look.
Jack: Oh, baby.
Livvie: Uh-uh. Look but don't touch.
Jack: Livvie, where did you --
Livvie: I was so sure you'd know me, Jack.
Jack: You know I would. I -- I do.
Livvie: No, but you weren't sure.
Jack: Ok, where are you? Where are you?
Jack: Where? Where?
Jack: Ok, stop it. Enough's enough. Where are you at?
Livvie: Enticing. Seducing.
Jack: Oh, ok.
Livvie: Is it working?
Jack: Oh yeah. What?
Livvie: You like me like this, don't you, Jack? This is who you want, isn't it?
Jack: Wait. This isn't you.
Livvie: Shh. You're still talking. You shouldn't be talking. Your lips should be busy with mine. Forget about everything but me, Jack. Let me love you.
Livvie: I don't want to be here. I don't, but I have to make it stop. I have to. The box. That's where it's coming from -- the music, Caleb's voice. That's what started all this. It's not in my head. I know it isn't. I know it's not in my head. Now, if I can just find the box -- that's what I have to do. But where? Where is it? Now, I know it's in here. It's got to be. I left it in here. I left it right here. It's got to be in here somewhere. Left it -- aha! I knew it, I knew it. Ok. Ok. All I need to do is open it. Just open it and --
Eve: I do trust you. You know that, don't you?
Ian: Mm-hmm. It's nice to hear.
Eve: I'm sorry that I ever doubted you.
Ian: We're through apologizing. That's the past now. It's time to move on. That's what people do that love each other.
Eve: I do love you, more than I ever thought I could, more than I ever knew was possible. And now that we're home, we're safe. Nothing can touch us. And we're just going to concentrate on us. That's all I ever wanted.
Lucy: I -- I just can't believe it.
Kevin: You can't?
Lucy: Doc, do you see it? This proves it. This proves there is a presence in this house.
Kevin: Yes, and it isn't happy.
Lucy: So you do believe me?
Kevin: I believed you before, Lucy. Maybe I didn't want to.
Lucy: But now you have to.
Kevin: You know what it felt like?
Lucy: What? Tell me, what did it feel like?
Kevin: It felt like it wanted to do us harm, but it couldn't.
Lucy: That's what I felt, too. Doc, that's exactly right, but it couldn't hurt us because of the spell I used.
Kevin: Lucy, do you understand what's happening here, what this means?
Lucy: No, I'm not sure. But I do think that whatever just happened is somehow connected to everything that's been going on in the past few weeks to all of us. It's got to be somehow, just I'm not sure how.
Kevin: Well, we'd better find out for sure or else something that we don't want to is going to sneak up behind us. I just realized, I should really go check on Livvie.
Lucy: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Kevin: Bu I cene back, we're going to come up with a plan as to what to do next.
[Knock on door]
Kevin: Little late for visitors, don't you think?
Lucy: Depends on what kind.
Kevin: Whoever it is isn't going away.
Lucy: Doc, they're here for me. I'll get it. They want me.
Kevin: No, no, Lucy. I'll be the one to answer the door.
Lucy: Doc, no --
Kevin: Don't argue with me. You are not even going to touch that door. We have no idea what's out there or what we've unleashed, so just stay behind me.
Lucy: Be careful.
Kevin: That's the idea.
Kevin and Lucy: Set --
Jack: Oh, I love you, Livvie.
Livvie: Oops. That's it.
Livvie: That's all I wanted to hear. That's all we have time for, Jack. So sorry. Try not to miss me too much.
Jack: Whoa, whoa, wait, wait. Where are you going?
Livvie: Where do you think, Jack? I'm going back to my husband.
Livvie: Time for me to go back to Caleb.
Livvie: I don't understand. Where's the ring? Caleb's ring, the music? Wind, dust, something -- there has to be something. God, no. Maybe they were right. God, maybe I really am losing my mind and I'm going crazy. Maybe I am.
Caleb: No, you're not. You're not crazy, Olivia.
[Caleb's music plays]
Caleb: My sweet Olivia. I'm back.
>> On the next "Port Charles" --
Eve: Ian, look -- our house. It's finally a home.
Kevin and Lucy: set -- go.
Lucy: Oh, my God.
Caleb: I have you to thank. You brought me back.
