Port Charles Transcript
Proofread by Beth
Chris: Rise and shine, sleeping beauty.
Gabriela: What's going on?
Chris: Oh, I've been working on a little something to knock the vampire right out of you.
Gabriela: I'm not your guinea pig.
Chris: Oh, too late. You've already volunteered. Ready for the first trial?
Gabriela: So this is how you get your women, huh, Chris?
Chris: Hmm, just the blood-sucking ones.
Gabriela: You keep away from me, you worthless -- ah! Oh.
Chris: Chris, you are good. You are very, very good.
Eve: Michael, can we give you a ride to --
Ian: I think Michael can find his own way out of town.
Michael: Actually, if you could stand me being in Port Charles just a little while longer, I'd like to tell Kevin and Lucy that Caleb's gone, that his daughter's safe.
Eve: Well, Kevin and Lucy are gone, but I know that Jack and Livvie are staying at Kevin's place.
Michael: They should know, too. Can you tell me where that is?
Ian: We'll tell them, all right?
Michael: I think it would be better if they heard it from me, Ian.
Eve: Ok, how about if we all go?
Eve: All right, you two. That's enough. Caleb is dead. Isn't that all that really matters?
Kevin: Lucy? Lucy, where are you?
Lucy: Doc! Doc, I'm over here.
Kevin: Keep talking.
Lucy: Doc --
Kevin: Keep talking!
Lucy: One minute, I was in the land of the living, the next I know, I'm six feet under.
Kevin: Lucy, give me your hand.
Kevin: Your hand, Lucy!
Lucy: Oh -- oh --
Kevin: Come on.
Kevin: Come on.
Lucy: Ok, I have to get a toehold.
Kevin: All right, come on.
Kevin: Are you all right?
Lucy: Yes. Aside from practically being buried alive, I'm fine! Oh, Doc, all of a sudden I thought I was a goner for good this time. Oh.
Kevin: You're safe now.
Lucy: Oh, thank God.
[Lucy and Kevin cough]
Lucy: I swallowed some dirt. Oh, look! Oh! Where's my purse?
Kevin: It's right -- it's right here.
Lucy: Oh. Oh!
Livvie: Look, I meant what I said, Jack. I can't go back to the way I was.
Jack: Livvie, come on, just come down from there, and we'll talk, all right?
Livvie: No, stay back. Get back!
Jack: Ok. Ok.
Livvie: All my life, I've had this fear inside.
Jack: Livvie, please.
Livvie: And you helped me forget that for a while. But then you pushed me away.
Jack: It's only because I didn't want to put you in any danger.
Livvie: Caleb will make sure that I never hurt again.
Jack: No. Livvie, no.
Livvie: Caleb will take the pain away.
Jack: Be careful, all right? Just -- just don't move. Don't move!
Livvie: Hey, Jack, you don't have to worry about me.
Jack: Livvie --
Jack: Livvie, I got you. I got you.
Livvie: Oh. Jack, how -- how did you get me here? Can you fly?
Jack: I don't know. I just knew I couldn't let you get hurt.
Livvie: God, see? What you are is incredible. Can you blame me for wanting to taste all of that power?
Jack: Livvie, you really want to know? Huh? You really want to know what it's like? You're hungry all of the time, except it's not for food. It's for blood, for flesh, for something you can't even stomach. And you have to fight with all your might to push it away because it's like this darkness that's come over you. And every day it gets harder. Every day you lose a little bit more of yourself. That's what Caleb's offering you -- a living hell.
Livvie: Jack, but I can't -- I can't get his voice out of my head. It's like he's always calling for me. I --
Jack: Livvie, you have to. You have to fight. The only thing that's real is my love for you. That's how I saved you.
Eve: Livvie? Jack?
Livvie: Caleb. Caleb, I knew you'd come for me. Oh.
Chris: All right. Time to see what makes you tick.
Alison: Oh, my God.
Jamal: What did you do to her?
Chris: Trying to cure her, Jamal. Or did you forget why I'm wasting years and years of medical school on a vampire?
Alison: Well, Chris, she looks really out of it.
Jamal: What did you shoot her up with?
Chris: Oh, very medical, technical. You wouldn't understand.
Jamal: Well, why don't you give me the 411 anyway.
Chris: Ok. The 411 is that I'm trying to isolate the foreign substance in her blood from the normal components in her blood. She just received the first I.V. drug trial.
Jamal: You were only supposed to take her blood, not experiment on her.
Alison: Look, Chris --
Jamal: She's not a science project.
Alison: You don't know how she's going to react with these new drugs. I mean, they could be really dangerous.
Chris: Well, gee, Dr. Barrington, if I don't try, how will I help her? Or Jack? It's not like I can refer to our massive vampire database at General Hospital.
Alison: Oh, my God. Jamal? Gabby's really sick. There's something wrong with her. There's something really wrong.
Lucy: Oh! Oh, Doc. Ok. You were right, as usual. There's nothing quaint or cutie pie or charming about cemeteries.
Kevin: Yeah, well, at least you're ok.
Lucy: I'm going to have bad dreams. I'm going to have nightmares over being buried alive for the next millennium, probably.
Kevin: Lucy, what happened?
Lucy: Oh! Oh! Oh! Look at that gravestone over there. Look what's on it. Oh.
Kevin: "Lucia Kovich."
Lucy: "Lucia Kovich" -- Lucy Coe. Doc, it was just like I was staring at my own grave.
Kevin: Let's just come back in the daytime when we can see and it's a lot less, you know --
Kevin: Spooky, yeah.
Kevin: Come on.
Lucy: Get up -- whoa!
Kevin: Just stand, please.
Lucy: Ok, ok. I'm going to -- ooh. Golly. Where'd we come in? Down those stairs?
Kevin: Down that way.
Lucy: All right.
Kevin: Watch your step.
Lucy: I got it, I got it. Ooh! Oh, my gosh! Oh, my goodness!
Kevin: Oh, my gosh. I'm afraid to look.
Lucy: Oh, Doc, you have to! Look, look right there at the words on that tombstone. Look.
Kevin: "Familia sunt omnia" -- "family is all."
Lucy: "Family is all." That's exactly what's written on that necklace that Michael gave to Eve.
Kevin: So Michael and Caleb's family are from here, just like yours. Well, what do you know? Neighbors.
Lucy: Oh, dear. Wait a minute. That means that there really are vampires on my Kovich tree.
Kevin: Let's not jump to conclusions. Let's just come back in the sane light of morning, and in the meantime, let's get the hell out of here.
Kevin: Come on.
Lucy: Oh. Don't leave me.
Jamal: Do something, Chris! Help her!
Chris: No, no. Give it a minute. It's part of the process. See? See? She's fine.
Jamal: She is suffering. What kind of a doctor are you?
Alison: Look, whatever you gave her is making her very sick. Why can't you see that?
Chris: I'm the professional here. I know what I'm doing.
Jamal: Like hell you do. I'm going in.
Chris: Are you crazy? You want an instant replay of what happened between Jack and me? I turned that juice off, went in there, and he tried to have me for lunch.
Jamal: Well, that's tough because I'm making sure this is one patient you don't lose.
Chris: Jamal, she could be faking. You go in there, she'll tear you to shreds.
Jamal: There's no way I'm letting you play witch doctor on my sister.
Chris: And there's no way I'm going to let you undo all my hard work. We could be on the brink of a major medical breakthrough.
Jamal: This is my sister!
Chris: No, this was your sister! Now she has fangs and you are nothing more than a snack!
Jamal: I thought you were going to help her!
Chris: I'm trying to help her, Jamal, but this is the real world, and in the real world, sometimes we have to make sacrifices in order to make progress.
Jamal: Forget progress! Chris, you're all selfed up, you're seeing Gabby as your claim to fame when she could be in there dying!
Chris: No, Gabby is no more!
Jamal: Ali, Ali, what are you doing?
Alison: I think that Gabby's starting to wake up.
Chris: Alison, are you crazy? Get out of there. She'll attack you!
Lucy: Oh, boy. I -- oh, I'm going to take a nice long, hot shower and then I'm going to get into that bed and you are going to hold me until I can get rid of this awful, yucky buried-alive feeling.
Kevin: Only once you wash the cemetery off.
Lucy: Very funny.
Kevin: I'm going to call down and see if there's messages.
Lucy: Good idea.
Kevin: Yes, hi. It's Dr. Collins. Any messages for me? What? Would you -- no, would you repeat that back for me? Because I'm hard of hearing, that's why. I want to hear exactly what the message said. You're sure? Thank you.
Lucy: What? What? Doc, what -- what is it? It's not Livvie, is it?
Kevin: Eve left a message. Livvie -- Livvie is fine, and she's going to stay that way because Caleb is dead.
Lucy: What? How did -- how did that happen?
Kevin: Well, she didn't leave any details, but, Lucy, Livvie's safe. Caleb can't hurt her anymore. Lucy, I -- I'm sorry. I want to go back. I want to see Livvie right now. Your eyebrow's doing that thing.
Lucy: No, it's not. No. No, no, no, no. It's not, it's nothing.
Kevin: The eyebrow never lies, Lucy. What is it?
Lucy: Well -- oh, Doc, I don't want to go yet. I don't want to go. There's still this mystery to clear up.
Kevin: You mean about the connection between Caleb and your family?
Lucy: Yeah, this is it. This is my chance. If we go now, I'll be haunted with it forever.
Kevin: Lucy, after everything that Livvie's been through, she's going to need us.
Kevin: Now, as soon as she's on her feet again, we'll come back here, I promise you.
Lucy: No, you're right. You're -- you're absolutely -- what was I thinking? You're right. We'll go.
Lucy: You're right, Doc.
Kevin: Ok. All right.
Kevin: I'm going to go downstairs and see if I can book us on the first flight, all right.
Lucy: Ok. I got to just rinse off and then I'll get all our stuff together.
Lucy: Ok. Oh. Yuck.
Livvie: Oh, I knew you'd come for me.
Michael: You don't understand. I'm not Caleb.
Livvie: Of course you are. Why are you teasing me like this?
Jack: No, Livvie, this isn't Caleb. It's his twin brother.
Eve: It's the truth, Livvie. And you don't have to be afraid of anything anymore.
Livvie: Why are you looking at me like that, like he does?
Michael: I'm sorry. I know how confusing this must be for you. I was staring because you look so much like Olivia, this young woman I knew once.
Livvie: Caleb's first love -- I know all about her. We have no secrets from each other.
Michael: I think maybe this was a mistake, me coming here. I should have known how strange it would be.
Jack: Well, why are you here? Did something happen?
Ian: Why don't we all go inside and sit down --
Livvie: No, no, I am not going anywhere. You can't keep us apart. He's your brother, Michael. You must know where he is.
Eve: Tell her.
Michael: Caleb's not coming for you, Livvie, not tonight or any other night. He's gone. My brother's dead.
Jack: Caleb's dead?
Livvie: No. You're lying. No.
Michael: I killed him, Livvie.
Livvie: No! I don't believe this!
Jack: Livvie, don't you get it? He saved your life.
Livvie: No! You're all making this up! You just hate Caleb and you just really want him dead, right?
Jack: Livvie, listen --
Livvie: No, no, I don't care about anything because I know Caleb is going to come for me. I would have known if he were dead. He told me that we were going to have a life together.
Eve: Did he tell you he was going to give you a child?
Caleb's Voice: No harm will ever come to you, Olivia, or the child I've chosen to be ours.
Livvie's Voice: A child?
Caleb's Voice: But to walk by my side, Olivia, you must say goodbye to this mortal life. You must surrender to a peaceful sleep. But when your blood mixes with mine, you'll wake up in a world where anything is possible, and we'll be soul mates, you and I, forever.
Livvie's Voice: Soul mates.
Caleb's Voice: And the child I've chosen to be with us will join us soon. A beautiful infant soul will be born into our family.
Livvie's Voice: Our child.
Livvie: Yes. It was going to be our family.
Eve: And it was going to be our son. Caleb was going to steal our son.
Livvie: No, stop it. Stop it. I don't want to hear this.
Jack: Livvie -- Livvie, come here. It's going to be ok. Caleb just has you under his spell still.
Livvie: Oh, how could you say that? The man I was going to marry is dead, Jack! And you had no right!
Michael: He was hurting innocent people. He hurt you and Eve.
Eve: Livvie, there is nothing to be afraid of anymore. He can't hurt us ever again.
Livvie: Oh. No, I don't want to hear this! Stop it! Stop it! Please, Caleb, come for me.
Chris: Alison, if you value your life at all, you will get out of there right now.
Alison: I am fine, but Gabby is not. She's unconscious, Chris.
Chris: Yeah, well, when she wakes up, she's going to be real upset.
Alison: Unless she dies first. She has no pulse, Chris.
Chris: Well, maybe it's a vampire thing -- you know, no soul, no pulse.
Alison: She is not faking this.
Jamal: Come on, Doc. Time to make a house call.
Chris: Ok, she has a pulse. It's faint, but it's there. Jamal, get my medical bag up there, the black one.
Jamal: Is she going to make it?
Chris: I'll do my best.
Jamal: No funky drugs, Chris.
Chris: This is just a medication to counteract the drugs I gave her earlier that caused her to lose consciousness.
Alison: Just let him do it, Jamal. We've got to try something.
Jamal: Don't screw up.
Chris: Ok, we'll know soon.
Alison: Look, I have a really bad feeling about this. I think that we need to get her to a hospital before she dies.
Chris: I didn't think vampires could die.
Jamal: Maybe this thing you cooked up can kill her.
Chris: If we take her to the hospital, how do we explain that she bites?
Jamal: That's your problem. Come on, Chris, do something. She's barely breathing.
Chris: I guess this eternal life thing has a few hitches. Call Frank Scanlon, tell him to bring the rig and to hurry.
Man: I have information about the people that you and your friend are asking about, the Koviches. And I think that you'll want very much to hear it.
[Lucy pounds on the door]
>> On the next "Port Charles" --
Karen: My God, Chris, what have you done to her?
Chris: Karen, what do you think you're doing?
Karen: Save it. We need help.
Jack: Now that Caleb's gone, what happens to me?
Kevin: What's going on?
