Whitney: Chad! Chad, get out here right now, ok, and bring that bitch with you!

Chad: Oh, man. I can't let Whitney find me here.

Vincent: Why not? I think it's time Whitney knew about us, lover.

Sheridan: Then they moved to Vermont and opened an inn.

James: Did they sing to their guests?

Sheridan: I'm sure they did.

James: We should open an inn.

Chris: Yeah, we should call it the -- the Von Boothe Inn.

Sheridan: Mm-hmm.

James: I could make pizzas, you can sing, and Daddy can take everyone's picture.

Chris: Why not?

Sheridan: We'd have fun, wouldn't we?

James: Just like tonight when we made the popcorn and watched the movie together.

Sheridan: Yeah. We always have fun together, don't we?

James: I love you, Mommy.

Sheridan: I love you, too. Look, why don't you go brush your teeth and I'll come tuck you into bed, ok?

James: Ok.

Chris: You know, I love how you love James.

Sheridan: And I love you. You and James are my life.

Chris: I'd like to believe that, Sheridan.

Sheridan: Well, you should believe it. Don't let what happened with Luis worry you. I love Luis as a friend, nothing more.

Chris: If you say so.

Sheridan: I do say so. You are my husband, not Luis. I love you.

Sheridan's voice: God help me, I love Luis more.

Eve: Don't you die on me, Luis. Don't you dare.

Fancy: I shot Luis. And if he doesn't make it, it'll be my fault.

Sam: Luis is a strong man, ok? I mean, he survived a -- a boat exploding, being buried under a Mayan temple. He's strong, he'll get through this.

Fancy: He has to.

Sam: Well, even if he does, his future looks pretty bleak. He's already facing the death penalty for Rae's murder. Now he's being charged with arson, the bartender's murder, and escaping from custody twice.

Fancy: Whatever doubts I had are gone. Luis can't be guilty. He's being set up.

Sam: Well, that may be true. But the evidence against Luis -- trying to prove his innocence may be impossible.

Fancy: Dr. Russell? Please tell me Luis is ok. Tell me he isn't going to die, because if he does it'll be my fault. I'll have killed Luis.

Ethan: You realize on the other side of this door is everything we need to prove your brothers are innocent. And that's not the half of it. I mean, this guy had it in for everybody in town, including you.

Theresa: I know, that's why I had to marry Jared to keep my secret a secret.

Ethan: I know, but once we get the proof and we give it to my dad, this blackmailer's going to have no power over anybody.

Theresa: Ok.

Ethan: And then you can have your marriage annulled and we can be together.

Theresa: We can be a real family with Jane and Little Ethan.

Ethan: That's right. All right, brace yourself, ok? Because what's behind this door is going to change everything.

Theresa: Ok.

Ethan: What the hell? Are you kidding me? What -- Theresa, this place was -- it was filled with pictures. I mean, someone must have cleaned out this whole damn place!

Sam: Eve, is Luis --

Eve: Luis isn't dead.

Fancy: Oh, thank God.

Eve: No, he lost a lot of blood, but I was able to stabilize him.

Sam: Is he going to make it?

Eve: I think that he'll have a full recovery in time.

Fancy: May I see him?

Eve: Not yet, sweetheart, because he's still unconscious.

Sam: Well, unfortunately, I have to see him right now.

Eve: Sam, why? He's not even going to know that you're there.

Sam: Luis has already escaped from custody twice, which makes him a flight risk. I have to make sure when he comes to that he stays put.

Eve: Oh, Sam, you're not going to restrain him. That can't be necessary.

Sam: I have to treat Luis like any other criminal. It would just make things worse for him and the department if I don't.

Fancy: I hate seeing Luis treated like this.

Sam: I do, too. But I have no choice.

Eve: All right, I'll take you in. Fancy, you wait here.

{Fancy: Luis.

Luis: Hmm?

Fancy: I love you. No one's ever made me feel the way you do.

Luis: I love you, too. }

Fancy: Oh, Luis.

Ethan: I don't believe it. These walls were -- were covered. They were covered with photographs of us, of Jared and Gwen. Right here was -- was Kay, Fox, and Miguel, and over here was Sheridan, Luis, Chris, and Fancy all over the place. There was another wall with everybody else from Harmony. Damn it, I mean, the blackmailer must have come in here when I went to the hospital and just cleaned out the whole damn room.

Theresa: Are you sure that this is the right apartment?

Ethan: Wow. Who in the hell would do all this?

Ethan: Yeah. Yeah, no, this is the place. Yeah, that was the chair that I was bound to right there. Now it's gone. All the evidence is completely gone. All the evidence I needed to clear your brothers' names, all the evidence I needed to get the blackmailer off your back -- it's all gone. And I can't believe this happened!

Theresa: I can believe it. Ok? I mean, this blackmailer is always one step ahead of us. It has eyes and ears everywhere.

Ethan: Yeah, it sounds like Alistair used to be.

Theresa: Do you think it's Alistair?

Ethan: No, no, the blackmailer was not Alistair. Trust me on that one. But this guy thinks and acts the same way Alistair used to.

Theresa: At least you tried, right? I mean, maybe next time.

Ethan: Next time? No, there's not going to be a next time. I'm not going to wait till a next time. There's got to be a clue or some evidence around here the blackmailer left behind. I can have forensics come down here. They can search this place up and down. There's got to be a fingerprint or a hair fiber or something that will lead us to this guy, because I'm not going to let go of this and I'm not going to lose you because of this. I'm not going to lose you over this. We're meant to be together, and we're going to be.

Whitney: Damn it, Chad! Come on, get your cheating butt out here right now.

Vincent: Cute cheating butt.

Whitney: Look, I'm not playing. Open this door, all right? And bring that bitch with you.

Vincent: Boy, has she got my number.

Chad: Shut up.

Whitney: Chad!

Vincent: What are you waiting for? Go. It's time you tell Whitney all about us.

Chad: No.

Whitney: Listen, I can't -- I can't do this anymore. I can't live a lie, ok?

Vincent: You shouldn't either, baby.

Whitney: Please, let's just get this over with. Ok? Please?

Vincent: You may as well get it over with. There's nothing else you can do.

Chad: No, no, no, there's got to be a way out of this mess.

Whitney: Chad, come on, now.

Vincent: You know, I hate hearing Whitney so upset. She deserves to know the truth, and if you're not going to tell her, then I will.

Chad: No, no.

Vincent: Sorry, lover, but there's nothing you can do to stop me.

Whitney: Listen, Chad, you might as well just come on out, ok, because I'm not going to leave until you do. Do you understand me?

Whitney: I think I'm going to be sick.

Vincent: Fine. Since you're not going to tell Whitney about us, guess it's up to me.

Whitney: Chad. What the hell?

TV reporter: This is Paul Marte, WDRT news, reporting live from a crime scene on Commercial Street.

Chris: Certainly no shortage of bad news these days.

Sheridan: No, there isn't.

Paul: Earlier tonight, arson was committed in an attempt to cover up the murder of a bartender from the Blue Note jazz club.

Sheridan: My God, who would do such a thing?

Paul: Sources tell me that escaped fugitive Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald is the prime suspect in both crimes.

Sheridan: What?

Paul: Until recently a well respected Harmony police officer, Lopez-Fitzgerald was shot during a standoff with police and subsequently taken to Harmony Hospital where he is listed -- [TV turns off]

Sheridan: Why did you do that?

Chris: You were getting upset.

Sheridan: Of course I was getting upset. Luis was shot. You know what? Just kiss James good night. I'm going to go be with Luis.

Chris: Sheridan, please, don't. We were having such a nice time here.

Sheridan: I -- I know, but --

Chris: Look, he's got his whole family. He's got Fancy to be there for him.

Sheridan: You just don't understand, do you? Luis is in more trouble than ever and now he's been shot, only I don't know what sort of condition he's in because you turned off the damn TV.

Chris: Well, call the hospital. Find out what condition he's in, but there is no need for you to go down there.

Sheridan: Chris, you know I care about Luis. I am going to go be with him.

Chris: Damn it. Just when I thought things were getting better with Sheridan.

Fancy: Luis?

Luis: Hey.

Fancy: Thank God you're all right.

Luis: Why wouldn't I be?

Eve: You're in the hospital, Luis.

Sam: You've been shot.

Luis: I was? Oh -- guess I was.

Sam: We found you unconscious in the apartment of the bartender from the Blue Note.

Luis: Right. I remember now. I went to the bartender's apartment to try and find the letter that Rae had given to Simone, hoping there was something there to help prove my innocence. By the time I got there, the apartment was already on fire.

Sam: The fire had already started?

Luis: Yeah. I thought I heard someone's voice that was maybe trapped, but I never did see anyone. Then I heard sirens. The next thing I know, I was being shot at. Now I'm here.

Fancy: And you're going to be all right.

Luis: What about the bartender?

Sam: The bartender's dead.

Luis: Oh, my God. The envelope.

Sam: And, given what we found at the apartment, you're going to be charged with this murder as well.

Ethan: Yeah, this is Ethan Winthrop. Listen, I want you to send one of our best forensics teams over to the old apartment complex near the carnival. That's right, whoever has been setting up Luis and Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald held me hostage here earlier. I want you to check for fingerprints, hair fibers, anything we can use to identify this guy, ok?

Theresa: Ethan.

Ethan: What the hell are you doing?

Theresa: What is the point? The blackmailer is too smart to leave any clues behind.

Ethan: Everybody makes mistakes. I mean, maybe this is the time the blackmailer screwed up, Theresa.

Theresa: It's a lost cause.

Ethan: I won't accept that.

Theresa: Well, I have fought the blackmailer as long as I could, and it's no use. He always wins.

Ethan: Theresa, I won't accept that, and I'm not going to give up. If I give up on this, I give up on us, and I will not give up on us.

Theresa: I love you for trying.

Ethan: Theresa, I need you to believe that there's something here that can help us, please. I want you to have faith in that. Can you do that?

Theresa: Ok.

Theresa: You said you were held hostage here?

Ethan: Yeah. Yeah, I was held hostage here. It was bizarre. I -- I was here looking at these photos, and then I was chloroformed.

Theresa: By the blackmailer?

Ethan: Yep, I woke up, I was bound to that chair, naked, with gauze over my eyes. I recognized the blackmailer's voice, but from what I could see, he was a he/she.

Theresa: What?

Ethan: It was a he/she. I don't know what the hell it was, but it started kissing me.

Theresa: Oh, my God. Oh, God.

Ethan: Yeah, "Oh, God," doesn't even begin to describe how I felt, actually.

Theresa: Look, I mean, remember I told you that the blackmailer wanted you?

Ethan: Oh, yeah. Yeah, he/she did say that to me, that it wanted me in the worst possible way. And it also wanted revenge.

Theresa: Revenge for what?

Ethan: I don't know. All I do know is who we're dealing with is pretty sick and twisted, Theresa.

Theresa: You know, Whitney told me that this he/she tried to have sex with Jessica.

Ethan: What the hell is going on here?

Theresa: I don't know. I don't know who this person is. I don't know what they want.

Ethan: Well, Luis did tell me that he thought that the person who's blackmailing you was the same person that was setting him and his brother up, and the blackmailer confirmed that.

Theresa: My God.

Ethan: Theresa, Luis also told me that he wanted you not to worry about him anymore, that he didn't want you to sacrifice your happiness trying to protect him.

Theresa: I have to help Luis and Miguel. They are my brothers and they are innocent.

Ethan: Listen, I -- I love you for wanting to do right by them, but he also told me he didn't want the blackmailer to force you to marry Jared, that he would do what he had to do to clear his name, but he didn't want you to give up on the life that you could have with me. Theresa, listen to me. He meant it. He meant it. He knows we belong together and he doesn't want you to lose the opportunity to be with me. He doesn't want you to lose it.

Theresa: I did. It's too late. I am married to Jared, Ethan.

Ethan: You can have the marriage annulled. Just get it annulled and be with me. I'm not letting you walk away from me.

Whitney: Oh, my God. In my wildest dreams, I never would have imagined. Vincent, what are you doing here?

Chad: Don't tell her about us, please.

Vincent: Whitney, you caught us.

Chad: Oh, no.

Vincent: Yeah, we thought that we could be together in this dive, have some one-on-one time out of the spotlight. But you found us. Now that you know what we've been up to, the question is, what are you going to do about it?

Luis: You're charging me with murder?

Sam: I'm afraid so.

Luis: I never even saw the guy.

Sam: He was found in his apartment and he had been shot.

Luis: Well, I sure as hell didn't do it. Look, I went to the bartender's apartment to try and find the letter that Rae had given him. I was hoping there was something in there that was going to prove I'm innocent.

Sam: Only now you're being charged with two murders.

Luis: You know, this is ridiculous.

Sam: Luis, you fired at us.

Luis: What?

Sam: That's how you got shot. We returned fire.

Luis: I never fired a gun.

Sam: We heard you, Luis.

Luis: No. I was trapped inside by the flames. I was trying to shoot a lock off a window so I didn't burn to death. And there was a case of ammunition and it must have got too close to the flames. It exploded, and next thing I know, you guys opened fire on me.

Sam: Well, forensics is looking for the gun. Ballistics will tell us if it was fired or not.

Luis: Well, I'm telling you right now that I didn't get a shot off.

Sam: Well, then that will be one less charge against you.

Luis: Oh, you know, this is crazy. This is --

Eve: Luis, Luis, this is very important. You are so weak, you have to stay calm.

Sam: And, by the way, you're also going to be charged with arson.

Luis: You think that I set the fire?

Sam: Simone saw a male figure in the apartment holding a torch.

Luis: All right, look, I admit it. I found a torch in the apartment and I picked it up. It must have been left there by whoever set the fire.

Sam: All right. If that's the case, then why was there gasoline all over your clothes?

Luis: That's a good question. Smells like gasoline.

Luis: What the hell? Someone put gasoline on my clothes. I first smelled it on my clothes in the jail cell, and that was right before I left to get the envelope.

Sam: Well, you say left, I say escaped. Now, how in the hell did you get out of that jail cell?

Luis: I woke up and I got up and then I walked out.

Sam: Just like that?

Luis: Just like that.

Fancy: Well, I know what you're thinking, but it wasn't me. I didn't leave the door open so Luis could escape, I swear.

Luis: What? You handcuffed me?

Sam: You're damn right I did. You've already escaped custody twice and you're only making things worse for yourself. Cadet, wait outside.

Luis: It wasn't Fancy. She didn't leave my cell open.

Sam: Well, if it wasn't Fancy, then who?

Luis: Whoever it is that's setting me up. The same person that torched the apartment. They put gasoline on my clothes first to make it look like I did it.

Sam: Right when I think that things can't get any worse for you, you know, you prove me wrong.

Luis: Tell me about it. I'm telling you, Sam, it wasn't me. I'm being set up. So is Miguel.

Sam: Even so, without any proof, you're in a hell of a lot of trouble. It all goes back to what Grace was trying to tell me before she was killed. You know, for the life of me, I really don't know how you're going to get out of this one.

Fancy: Poor Luis.

Sheridan: I should have known. Luis is here because of you!

 [Phone rings]

Ethan: Ignore it, ignore it.

Theresa: No, no, no, I can't. You know what? This could be about Luis' -- this could be Jared checking on me.

Ethan: Checking on us, you mean.

Theresa: No, no, no. Hello?

Person: I know you're at my apartment with Ethan.

Theresa: Look, we -- we were just --

Person: Go back to your groom. Leave my love, Ethan, alone or there will be hell to pay.

Theresa: What do you mean?

Person: If you expect me to keep your secret secret, you better do your part. Go be with Jared or else.

Ethan: Who was that?

Theresa: I got to go.

Ethan: Got to go? Why? Wait, why?

Theresa: I need to get out of here, Ethan, now.

Ethan: Theresa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, hey. You are not leaving, and you are not going back to Jared, you hear me?

Sheridan: I overheard the cop stationed outside say that you're the one who shot Luis.

Fancy: I didn't know it was Luis inside the apartment.

Sheridan: Well, you still shot him. Luis could have died because of you.

Fancy: He's going to be all right.

Sheridan: Yeah, no thanks to you.

Fancy: Will you let go of me?

Sheridan: Haven't you done enough to ruin Luis' life, or are you trying to top what you did to Pretty?

Chris: Hey, hey, hey, girls. Fancy, Sheridan --

Fancy: Oh, why, you hateful --

Sheridan: Chris, what are you doing here?

Chris: I came down to make sure that everything was ok.

Sheridan: What about James?

Chris: He's with the nanny. How's Luis doing?

Sheridan: Well, no thanks to Fancy, who shot him, Luis nearly died.

Fancy: He's going to make a full recovery.

Sheridan: Would you please shut her up?

Fancy: I didn't do anything wrong.

Chris: Sheridan --

Sheridan: I told you you were no good for Luis, but you wouldn't listen to me. Ever since you dumped Noah in Rome, you've been nothing but a monkey on Luis' back. Look at the mess Luis is in because of you.

Eve: I'm going to give the two of you some time alone. But, Sam, please don't incite Luis. He's still very weak.

Luis: Sam, you know that I'm not a killer or a rapist or even an arsonist. I couldn't do any of the things that I am being accused of.

Sam: I can buy that you're being set up. But you made things worse for yourself by escaping from custody twice and going on the run. Now, to a jury, that will read "guilty."

Luis: Well, I'm just trying to prove that I'm innocent.

Sam: Listen, when you got a lead on the bartender, you should have come to me. I could have questioned him. Now the guy's dead and you're facing another murder rap and arson.

Luis: I would have come to you. It's just I'm almost afraid to say anything out loud.

Sam: Why?

Luis: "Why"? Because, Sam, whoever's setting me up is always one step ahead of me. It's like they know what I'm going to do before I even do it. So I thought if I kept quiet about the lead with the bartender, that maybe something would pan out.

Sam: Yeah, well, you thought wrong.

Luis: And whoever it was that killed the bartender and torched the apartment obviously got there first. Mind you, this is after they went to my jail cell, doused my clothes with gasoline while I slept, then left my cell door open so that I could escape.

Sam: Luis, do you know how crazy that sounds?

Luis: I know it sounds ridiculous, but it is the truth.

Sam: Without evidence to back up your assertions, it'll never hold up in court.

Luis: I know. I know. I'm doomed.

Theresa: Ethan, I need to leave. I need to get back to Jared. This is our wedding night and I'm not supposed to be here with you.

Ethan: That was the blackmailer that called, right?

Theresa: Yes.

Ethan: And that thing knows that we're here, right?

Theresa: Yes he does, and if I don't get back to Jared --

Ethan: Forget about Jared, forget about the blackmailer. Please, just think about me. Please, come on.

Theresa: No, no, Ethan, no, I'm not going to do that.  I cannot betray Jared. I promised him I wouldn't and he deserves that much.

Ethan: Jared doesn't deserve you, I deserve you.

Theresa: No, Ethan, just stop.

Ethan: Do you know what it feels like for me every time you run away to another man's bed?

Theresa: I know exactly how you feel. I felt it every time you left me to go be with Gwen. I spent years, Ethan, having to let you go. Years knowing that every time you left me, you were going to go to your wife to make love to her, and it was hell for me, Ethan. I would beg you, I would plead with you to stay with me, but every time you left me to go be with Gwen to honor your vows. And that's what I'm doing right now. I'm going to honor my vows to Jared, and if anyone should understand that, that is you. Now, please, you let me go be with my husband or this blackmailer is going to tell everyone my secret and I won't be able to save my brothers.

Ethan: We can end this now. We can end it right now. Just tell me your secret.

Theresa: No. No, I'm not going to do that.

Ethan: Theresa.

Theresa: I'm not going to do that! I have to do what the blackmailer wants.

Ethan: This thing is making you crazy. It's destroying you. Just tell me your secret, please.

Theresa: No, let me go, Ethan. I want you to let me leave.

Vincent: Now that you know I've been here with my lover, what are you going to do about it?

Chad: I don't want to hear this.

Whitney: I -- I don't know. I -- I guess I'm still in a little bit of shock, maybe.

Chad: Wait a minute, Vincent hasn't mentioned me by name. Maybe I can figure a way out of here -- go around front, find Whitney, and stop this whole mess before it gets out of hand.

Whitney: I had no idea that I was going to come in here and find you here again.

Vincent: It's ok. I mean, I'm not embarrassed. And besides, we're friends, right? And this does involve you.

Whitney: Me? How does it involve me?

Chad: I got to make tracks.

Vincent: Whitney, you're the one who set me up with Valerie.

Chad: Valerie?

Whitney: Valerie. Ok, Valerie. She's the one that's in the -- in the bathroom.

Vincent: Yeah, she's a little embarrassed that you found us here again.

Whitney: Oh, God, why is she embarrassed? I mean --

Vincent: Well, this isn't exactly the Ritz. But coming here adds a little spice to our sex life, if you know what I mean.

Whitney: I've heard that, actually -- that it seems hotter when you're in a cheap motel.

Vincent: Hmm, is it ever. Down-and-dirty places, perfect to get down and dirty. Isn't that right, baby? Valerie is so darned cute when she's shy.

Whitney: So Valerie's in the bathroom?

Vincent: Am I missing something?

Whitney: Hmm? Oh, no. No, no, no, I -- I just want to tell you how sorry I am. You know what I mean? I thought that maybe -- you know what? It doesn't matter what I thought. Really, it doesn't. Look, I'm sorry that I came in here and -- and barged in and interrupted you the way that I did. I'm so sorry.

Vincent: No problem. No problem at all.

Sheridan: Luis, I came as soon as I heard. I'm so grateful that you're all right. It could have been so much worse.

Luis: Yeah. I just wish there was a way I could clear my name and prove I'm innocent.

Sheridan: We all know you're not capable of such horrible crimes, no matter what the evidence says.

Luis: Yeah, I'm being set up.

Sheridan: I know that. And Fancy knows that, too, which is why it's even more upsetting that she shot you.

Luis: Fancy?

Sheridan: Oh. I -- I thought you knew, Luis. Fancy shot you earlier tonight.

Luis: Did you really?

Fancy: Ok, I was going to tell you when you were stronger. I'm sorry, Luis, I didn't know it was you. All we saw was a man silhouetted against the flames holding a gun, and then we heard what turned out to be that box of bullets exploding and we thought we were being shot at.

Luis: It's ok. You were just doing your job.

Fancy: I still feel so guilty.

Sheridan: Imagine how you'd feel if you had killed him or paralyzed him for life.

Chris: Sheridan.

Sheridan: I'm going to go talk to Eve and see if she can move you to a private room.

Eve: Uh, Sheridan, I'm afraid that's not an option.

Sheridan: Why not? Is Luis in worse shape than you thought?

Eve: No.

Sam: I just got off the phone with Mayor Anawalt. He's ordered that Luis be transported to the hospital at the state penitentiary right away.

Ethan: I'm not going to let you leave, because if you walk out that door right now, it will be as if you really are Jared's wife, and I can't accept that and I won't.

Theresa: You know what, Ethan, I am Jared's wife, ok, and you need to accept it. I need to get out of here, otherwise Jared's going to start wondering what's going on between us.

Ethan: Oh, you know what, let Jared wonder. Let him think all he wants. Let him think that we're making love all over town in all ways imaginable.

Theresa: Ethan, stop it.

Ethan: I don't want to be afraid anymore, and you shouldn't either. Let's let go of this blackmailer thing. Just divorce Jared because you belong with me, you don't belong with him.

Theresa: No, no, I have to do what the blackmailer wants, otherwise he's going to tell everyone my secret and my brothers will go to prison for sure.

Ethan: No, that's your fear talking, and you don't know that things are going to end up that badly.

Theresa: No, I don't know, but I'm not going to take the chance, not when my brothers' futures are on the line.

Ethan: What about our future? What about our future with little Ethan and Jane, huh? What about that?

Theresa: We don't have one, Ethan.

Ethan: No, no, this is -- hey, this is our time. This is our chance to finally be together. I thought that's what you always wanted.

Theresa: No, you know what? I could never be happy knowing what my selfishness cost my brothers. Now, Ethan, you need to let me go.

Ethan: No, I won't let you go, and here's why. If you love me, you'll understand why I have to do this, because I want to be with you. I have spent years being apart from you. And we've been through so much hell, and now we finally have a chance to be together. Let's take it.

Theresa: No, no, it's -- you know that I have to save my brothers, no matter what speech Luis gave you.

Ethan: I don't care about your brothers right now. I don't care about your brothers right now. I care about us. I care about you and I care about me, and I don't want to lose you again. I can't lose you again. I won't do it.

Whitney: Vincent, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry I came barging in here and interrupted you and Valerie when you were in the middle of --

Vincent: It's ok, really.

Chad: That was close.

Whitney: It's just that there was this nurse at the hospital who said he overheard a man on the phone saying he was going to a motel, and I guess I assumed it was Chad. I don't know why, but I did.

Vincent: Whitney, relax. It's ok. You know, like I said, no harm done.

Chad: Tell me about it.

Whitney: Well, enjoy the rest of your evening.

Vincent: Thanks. We will.

Vincent: Something wrong?

Whitney: I'd like to see Valerie before I leave.

Vincent: Why would you want to speak to Valerie?

Whitney: Well, I think I would like to apologize to her. You know, face to face.

Sheridan: The mayor cannot have Luis moved to a prison hospital.

Sam: I'm afraid he can.

Sheridan: Fine. I'll have the governor overrule him.

Chris: Excuse me.

Sam: If you go that route, ok, it will take time. Meanwhile, Luis will be incarcerated in state pen.

Sheridan: You can't put Luis in a prison hospital for criminals.

Luis: The mayor sees me as dangerous, a threat to everyone in town.

Sheridan: That's ridiculous.

Fancy: Isn't there anything we can do?

Sam: No, there isn't. I mean, Luis is being charged with another escape, another murder, and arson. Not to mention his existing charges. It makes for a strong and compelling case against him.

Sheridan: This is all your fault. You're to blame for all of this.

Luis: Sheridan, stop.

Sheridan: No. No, no, no. I knew that you were no good for Luis, but you just wouldn't listen to me, and Luis is too trusting to know any better. But after what you did to Pretty, I knew Luis was headed for trouble. But you are nothing if not hell-bent on ruining another life.

Fancy: Shut up.

Sheridan: If anything happens to Luis, I swear I will hold you responsible. And trust me, you do not want that.

Theresa: I have to leave. I need to get back to Jared. I've got to do exactly what the blackmailer wants or everyone will lose, Ethan. Do you understand that?

Ethan: No, this is what I understand. You're my life. You're my future. And I've spent too many years away from you, apart from you, and I don't want to go through that hell anymore. I'm not going to miss this opportunity to be with you. You're not going to walk away from it, and I'm not going to walk away from it either. I love you so much, and I know you love me more than anything in the world. So let's -- let's be together. I can't let you walk away. I just can't do that.

Theresa: You have to, Ethan.

Ethan: This -- no, damn it, this is our turning point. This is our time, right now. We are going to be together no matter what from now on.

Theresa: No, no, you need to stop this.

Ethan: I'm not going to stop. I'm not going to stop this time. This time Ethan gets what he wants. I'm going to have what I want. And what I want is to be a family with you and Jane and Little Ethan. I want to be a father to your little boy. That's what I want.

{Person: Your secret will be revealed that Ethan is Little Ethan's father. Little Ethan will no longer be a Crane, and you'll lose all your power. Without your help, your brothers Luis and Miguel will both go to jail, probably for the rest of their lives. }

Theresa: No, no, I have to do exactly what the blackmailer wants, Ethan. I need to get back to Jared.

Ethan: No, no, absolutely - no, no, no.

Theresa: Ethan, let me go!

Ethan: Theresa, no, damn it, please. The idea of you going back to Jared is making me sick, Theresa.

Theresa: I can't help it.

Ethan: I can't help it either.

Theresa: No, no, no, I got to get out of here.

Ethan: Theresa, where are you -- I am not going to give up on us! Damn it!

On the Next Passions:

Whitney: I just need to know what's going on here.

Chad: I can explain.

Sam: Any jury will give Luis the death penalty.

Tabitha: Now the spell works.
