Eve: Well, I think we need to discuss the side effects of the treatments you're going to have.

Kay: Should I leave the room?

Eve: No, honey, I think that you should stay since this is going to involve you.

Kay: Ok, well, how bad can these side effects be?

Eve: Well, you know how it goes. We need to poison the tumor, so of course we have to poison the entire body. It's like hitting a pinhead with a sledge hammer. So you'll experience extreme nausea, sleeplessness, hair loss, muscle aches. And then, of course, the side effect that's most devastating to men, of course, is impotence.

Fox: Impotence? I'm sorry, no. I'm not going to be impotent. I'm Fox Crane.

Eve: Oh, Fox, I'm sorry. You know, that's the hardest part of my job being a doctor, is giving patients bad news. But you've got to look on the bright side. These treatments may give you more time with Kay and Maria.

Fox: May give me more time?

Eve: I mean, they are not guaranteed to arrest the tumor development.

Fox: Ok, you know what? Forget this. I'm not going to be impotent. I'm out of here.

Fancy: Dr. Russell hypnotized both myself and Luis, and we both had a distinct impression the attacker was a woman.

Luis: Yeah.

Sheridan: I find that impossible to believe.

Fancy: You don't believe a word I say about anything. Believe it, Aunt Sheridan.

Sheridan: Fancy, there is no need to shout at me. I simply find it hard to believe that a woman would be your attacker. Why would a woman do such a horrible thing?

Fancy: I don't know. I have a hard time imagining it, too. But when Eve put us under hypnosis, we both thought there was a woman in the room when we were attacked.

Sheridan: All right. What about the obvious question? When you went to the hospital, a rape kit was performed. Semen was found inside of you.

Luis: Yeah, my semen, which makes no sense at all because I didn't attack Fancy, ok?

Sheridan: I'm baffled. When you were first attacked, you said it was a man for sure, correct?

Fancy: Yes.

Sheridan: Yet you both say a woman was upstairs in the princess room when you were attacked. You swear you didn't touch Fancy. And semen was found inside of you when you were tested at the hospital. This is all so confusing. It just doesn't make any sense. I mean, could it be a team? A man and a woman working together?

Jessica: I'm a pathetic loser. Nobody loves me. But why would they?

Man: I love you, Jessica.

Jessica: [Screaming]

Simone: Paloma, did you hear that? I think that's Jessica screaming. Ok, you and Noah get down here right away. I think Jessica's in big trouble.

Jessica: [Screaming]

Simone: Ok, I'm coming, Jess! I'm coming!

{Chad: No more threats? No more stunts like sending champagne to me in front of Whitney? Good. You know, part of me hates losing you, but it's best we make a clean break, never see each other again. Bye. It's been -- well, you know. }

Chad: He's got to stop. He's got to.

Whitney: What was that, babe?

Chad: Nothing. I was just talking to myself.

Whitney: Oh, well, I do that too, all the time. You should have heard this noise that came out of Miles when I was putting him down. His voice went really deep like Barry White.

Chad: Funny.

Whitney: All right. What's wrong? You seem worried about something.

Chad: Nothing.

Whitney: You sure nothing is bothering you?

Chad: What could be bothering me, baby? I'm married to the most beautiful, kind, charming woman in the world.

Whitney: Well, don't forget sexy.

Chad: Oh, that goes without saying. Nothing could bother me, baby. I'm the luckiest man in Harmony.

Whitney: We are lucky. You know that? Makes me think about Theresa, you know?

Chad: We even talk about Theresa in bed?

Whitney: No, no, no, it's actually about us. Because, see, I love you, you love me, and that's it. You know, we don't have to worry about being torn between two people, like Ethan and Jared. You know, I would hate that.

Chad: Baby.

Whitney: It's just a horrible position to be in. Ugh.

Chad: You don't have to worry about that, ok? No one is ever going to come between us. I swear it.

Whitney: I love you.

Chad: Not as much as I love you. Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

Whitney: Well, I'm thinking less talk, more action. I don't know about you.

Chad: That's what I was thinking.

[Knock on door]

Whitney: Ugh. Who could that be at this hour?

Chad: I'll get it.

Whitney: Ok.

Chad: Ethan.

Ethan: Sorry to barge in this late, man, but I need to talk.

Whitney: Ethan, what's going on?

Ethan: Look, I've been thinking about it over and over and over again, and I cannot accept this. Theresa said we were finally going to be together, and she's back with Jared. What the hell happened here?

Theresa: You gotta hang on, Jared. Ok? You can't die on me, ok? This is my fault. I'm the reason that you're in this mess. Come on, come on, you were trying to help me. You gotta hang on, ok? Please.

Theresa: You hear that? Jared, you hear that? That's the paramedics. They're here, they're here. We're over here! Please! Come quickly! We're over here! You have to save him! You gotta hang on, ok? Help is here. Hang on, Jared. Hang on. Come on, hurry!

Miguel: Fox is refusing the treatment. That lying bastard, I knew it. I knew he wasn't dying. That's why he won't go through with it.

Julian: Stop, no, no, no. Don't panic. Of course you're disturbed by this dreadful news. I'm sure it's especially unsettling for a newlywed.

Fox: Unsettling for any man. It's impotence. If I've got a few months left on this earth, I need to have all my parts in working order.

Eve: I'm afraid that's not possible.

Julian: Are you sure there's no other way to treat him?

Eve: Dr. Gasparro said that his tumor is too far advanced to operate on. So when a tumor is inoperable, all we can do is use these brutal treatments. Now, you do want to have more time, and this will buy you more time with Kay. You do want to have more time with Kay, don't you?

Fox: Of course.

Ethan: I just can't understand it, see. Theresa has pulled some fast ones before, but this one makes no sense. Why would she go back with Jared after everything she said to me?

Chad: You got me, man.

Ethan: Yeah, but I think you know, Whitney. You have to know. Come on, tell me the truth.

Whitney: Ethan, I'm sorry. I really don't. I really don't know.

Ethan: Whitney, you're her best friend. She tells you everything.

{Theresa: Oh, God, it's that thing, that thing that's taunting me.

Person's voice: Give up, Theresa. You've lost. You'll never have Ethan. Ethan and Gwen will stay together, and they'll have both children, Jane and Little Ethan.

Theresa: No, no, stop saying that!

Person's voice: If you try and take him from Gwen, your secret will be revealed that Ethan is Little Ethan's father. Little Ethan will no longer be a Crane, and you'll lose all your power. Without your help, your brothers, Luis and Miguel, will both go to jail, probably for the rest of their lives. }

Whitney: Ethan, I'm really sorry. I don't know what to tell you. I don't know what happened.

Ethan: Damn it.

Fancy: What do you think, Luis? We considered this before. Could we have two different attackers?

Luis: It would explain a lot. Maybe the peeping tom that Paloma caught earlier is the woman's accomplice.

Fancy: And it would explain how the peeping tom manages to pop up all over town. Two people.

Luis: Oh, God. If there are two of them, that means it's going to be twice as difficult to nail them.

[Phone rings]

Luis: Lopez-Fitzgerald.

Theresa: Luis, it's me. Can you meet me at the hospital right now, please?

Luis: What is it, Theresa? Is someone sick? Is it Mama?

Theresa: No, it's Jared. He's been shot.

Luis: Shot?

Theresa: Can you just meet me in the emergency room right away? The paramedics are with me right now. I'm just -- I'm scared, Luis.

Luis: Theresa, I will be right there. You just hang on, ok?

Theresa: Ok.

Fancy: Wait, who's been shot?

Luis: Jared Casey. I'm going down to the hospital to question Theresa.

Sheridan: I'm coming, too.

Luis: No, no, no, this is a police matter, ok?

Sheridan: Luis, you've been suspended.

Luis: Yeah, but if I can figure out what the hell is going on in this town, I can be reinstated.

Sheridan: Well, I'm an interested citizen, too, just like you. I'm coming.

Fancy: Wait, what about your husband and your child? I don't think Chris would want you to get involved in anything dangerous.

Luis: Sheridan, please stay here. Ok, the fewer civilians we have around there, the better. Please?

Sheridan: All right.

Fancy: Well, hold down the fort. Come on, Luis, it's time to investigate.

Noah: Jess! Where are they? I don't see anyone. Jess!

Simone: Hey, guys, over here!

Paloma: Where is she?

Simone: I don't know, I can't find her.

Noah: Oh, my God, what happened?

Simone: I don't really know. I mean, she was right here when I was on the phone with you before, and then I heard her screaming, and then I rushed back and she was gone. I mean, I've looked, but no Jessica.

Noah: Ok. Well, she couldn't have gone far, right?

Paloma: Maybe she went down to the beach.

Simone: With it this cold? I don't think so. Ok, Noah, I'm so sorry to have to tell you this, but I found Jess with a John. {Get off of her, right now, you scum!

Man: Back off, bitch!

Simone: Go, get the hell out of here! I will kill you.

Man: Let me out of here! }

Noah: Ah.

Simone: That bastard Spike must have had her working again.

Paloma: Maybe she left with the John.

Simone: Oh, God, I hope not. I kicked him and he ran away.

Paloma: Good.

Noah: Yes.

Simone: Oh, God, I hope he didn't come back for Jessica. What if he hurt her? She was really screaming.

Paloma: Yeah, I heard on the phone.

Simone: God, I could just kick myself. I was so mad at her. Never should have left her alone.

Noah: No, no, this is not your fault. Ok, let's just fan out and find Jessica before it's too late.

Man: It's way too late. Oh, Jess, you'll never be the same by the time I'm finished with you.

Simone: Jessica, it's me, Paloma. Can you hear me? Answer me! Where are you? Jess!

Simone: Jessica, it's safe now, honey. Can you hear me? Come out.

Noah: Jess! Jess, it's Noah. If you can hear me, answer me. We only want to help you. Jess!

Simone: Jess! Jessica! Jessica, please come out.

Noah: Oh, Jess, where are you?

Paloma: Jessica! Jess!

Noah: Nothing.

Paloma: Where could she be?

Simone: I don't know, but I'm scared.

Paloma: You don't think --

Noah: No, no, no, Jessica would never --

Paloma: I don't know. People have jumped off the Harmony wharf before.

Simone: I was almost one of them.

Noah: Whoa, did you hear that?

Noah: It's coming from over there. Come on.

[Jessica groans]

Noah: Oh, Jessica. Oh, there you are. Are you -- wait -- whoa, whoa, honey. It's ok.

Eve: Ok, so then we're going to start your treatments first thing in the morning.

Fox: Ok, you know what, doctor?

Julian: Don't worry, son, we'll all help you get through this.

Fox: So, are you sure about this, doctor?

Eve: I sympathize, Fox, but, yes. It must be so hard for you to have to face such difficult choices so early in your life.

Fox: You have no idea.

Eve: But these treatments are the way that we can buy some precious time for you with your beautiful bride.

Fox: Yeah, so, what, we can sit around and play video games?

Eve: Aw, come on, Fox, there are worse things than impotence. You get a lot of rest today, because you're going to need all your strength tomorrow.

[Pager beeps]

Eve: Excuse me. Oh, I've got an emergency coming in. Excuse me.

Kay: Don't worry, honey. Everything is going to be ok.

Fox: No, it's not. You heard what she just said. I'm going to be a freaking eunuch after this treatment.

Kay: Oh, don't be ridiculous. We have love. That is all we need. I want to be with you every single minute of every day, until --

Fox: Until I die. You don't have to pussyfoot around it anymore.

Kay: Ok, then. I want us to be as happy as we can be together for as long as possible.

Fox: Well, I think quality time would be better than --

Kay: No, Fox. Do you remember that poem? "Do not go gentle into that good night"? I want you to fight to stay alive as long as you can. I want you to take these treatments. Who cares about the side effects? I want you to live as long as you can. And you know what, miracles happen all the time. You could be taking these treatments for years, and one day, you know, they could have a cure for you.

Fox: That's not going to happen.

Kay: Well, it's not going to happen if you have that attitude. You have to think positive.

Fox: I'm just being realistic, Kay.

Kay: Ok. Ok, fine. Say you're right. Say you do die. Say I don't get my miracle. Wouldn't it be amazing if you could live long enough so that Maria could have some clear memories of you?

Fox: Maria will remember me.

Kay: No, honey, she won't. Ok, she's too little. If you die soon, she's not going to remember you at all. To her you're just going to be some photo up on my wall, and I don't think that's fair to you or to her. I want her to remember you as the loving man who adored her, the man that she adored. Look, you have got to do everything Dr. Russell is asking you to do. Do you hear me? I want you to be around for a good long time.

Kay: Look --

[Maria fusses]

Kay: God -- ok, it's late. I've got to get her back home, so --

Fox: Ok.

Kay: I'll be here first thing in the morning.

Fox: Ok. I love you.

Kay: I love you, too. And don't worry, we're going to get through this together, ok? Bye.

Fox: Bye.

Miguel: Kay, Kay.

Kay: How dare you follow me here.

Miguel: I will follow you everywhere until I have you back in my life, Kay. I love you.

Kay: Get out of here before Julian sees you and goes ballistic.

Julian: A very interesting predicament.

Fox: Interesting? Father, you'd better come up with something quick to get us out of this by tomorrow morning, or our little plan is going to suffer a serious setback.

Eve: What happened?

Theresa: Dr. Russell, I found Jared in an alley and he's been shot.

Eve: Shot? What's his condition?

Paramedic: Blood pressure 80/40, pulse thready, obvious internal bleeding.

Second paramedic: And he left a lot of blood back at the scene.

Eve: Theresa, you wait out here.

Theresa: Wait, please, he's my fiancÚ.

Eve: I know, and I want to keep it that way. You won't be any help in here.

Theresa: Please keep him alive. He was just trying to help me.

Luis: Theresa.

Theresa: Luis.

Luis: Got here as soon as we could.

Fancy: Tell us what happened.

Theresa: I just -- I found Jared in an alley off Broad Street and he'd been shot.

Fancy: Oh, my -- Theresa, did you see anyone else in the area?

Theresa: No.

Luis: Any cars?

Theresa: I don't know.

Luis: All right, Theresa, just try and calm down, ok? The more information that you can give us, the easier it's going to be for us to catch this guy.

Theresa: I don't know anything. You should've seen him. I just hope he doesn't die.

Whitney: Oh, my God, honey, I just got your message. What's going on?

Ethan: What happened?

Theresa: I just -- I found Jared in an alley, and he had been shot. You know, he's lost a lot of blood.

Whitney: Who could have shot Jared?

Theresa: I don't know, I found him all alone.

Whitney: Does this have something to do with what he's investigating for you, or --

Ethan: What -- what kind of investigation?

Simone: Oh, my God, what's happened to her?

Paloma: Jessica, are you all right?

Jessica: It's a man, it's a woman.

[Laughs] It's a man, woman, man --

Paloma: What is she talking about?

Noah: I don't know. It's nonsense.

Jessica: Man, woman, man, woman, man --

Julian: Would you just calm down? Someone may hear you.

Fox: I am way past the point of being calm. How would you like it if somebody just turned off your manhood for no good reason?

Julian: Well, your mother can do that with one brief comment.

Fox: This is no time for jokes.

Julian: Shh.

Fox: I don't care!

Julian: God knows who can hear you!

Fox: I don't care!

Kay: Go, Miguel. Julian cannot see you here.

Miguel: I don't give a damn about Julian Crane, ok?

Kay: Yeah, well, I do. He's already caught us once together, and he raked me over the coals for it. And you know what, he's absolutely right. Fox is my husband, and right now the only thing I should be concentrating on during this horrible time is him.

Miguel: What are you worrying about? I mean, I was just listening to Dr. Russell spelling out the side effects of his little treatment, and, trust me, your troubles are over, Kay.

Kay: Oh, you're sick. What is wrong with you?

Miguel: I mean, don't you see this? You really think he's going to go through with this? You really think he's going to be impotent with you when he's really not sick? Come on, Kay.

Kay: Oh, my God, are you out of your mind? My husband is in there fighting for his life.

Miguel: Your husband is in there scheming to find a way out of his lies, Kay.

Ethan: Theresa, what kind of investigation was Jared working on for you?

{Jared: Just tell me this -- is the key to this blackmail what's on J.T.'s memory stick?

Theresa: Definitely. I mean, that has to be where the blackmailer got the information that he's using against me. Now if I could just get my hands on that stick, then I could eliminate the information that he's using against me, and I can actually stop him from blackmailing anyone else who's got a secret.

Jared: Look, I love you. And I came back here hoping that you would forgive me and maybe take me back. Now, let me make up for hurting you when I broke off our engagement. Let me show you how much you mean to me. I'll take care of this blackmailer. I'll stop him dead in his tracks. }

Theresa: I can't say.

Ethan: You have to.

Theresa: I can't. It's private, it's personal.

Luis: Theresa, if Jared's shooting is somehow connected to the search for the peeping tom, you're going to have to tell us sooner or later.

Theresa: You know what, I will cross that bridge when I come to it, Luis.

Fancy: Theresa.

Theresa: No, I am sorry. There's nothing that I can say.

Luis: No, no, Theresa, let me tell you something. You are making a huge mistake right now by not cooperating with the police.

Theresa: Look, I don't know why Jared got shot, Luis, all right? And you know what? You're not the police right now.

Fancy: I am. Or at least I will be.

Theresa: I'm sorry, Fancy.

Luis: Do I need to call Mama and get her down here to talk some sense into you? You need to tell us right now what's going on, Theresa.

Whitney: Excuse me, can I just talk to her for one second, please? Theresa, you heard Luis. Now you're obstructing a police investigation.

Theresa: Yeah, but I don't know what I'm going to do.

Whitney: There's only one thing you can do. You have to tell Ethan the truth. You know, tell him about Little Ethan being his son, tell him about the blackmailer, the memory stick. Just do it now and get it over with.

Theresa: No, I can't do that, Whitney.

Whitney: You can't continue to keep your mouth shut, is what you can't do. Theresa, Jared's been shot, and for all you know, you could be next.

Julian: Remember you are a Crane and cool down. It's time think with your head, not your --

Fox: Oh, that's easy for you to say. You're not dying of some dreaded tumor, remember? This whole thing was just supposed to be a lie to guilt Kay into marrying me.

Julian: And it worked beautifully, didn't it? Your bride was quite attentive earlier.

Fox: So what? What is the point of having a wife if I'm a bald, impotent, sick little eunuch? Not even your blue pills will help me out in this case.

Julian: Be quiet. I'll think of something.

Kay: If your mother could hear you now. Oh, my God, I had no idea how cruel you could be.

Miguel: I'm not being cruel, Kay, I'm being honest. I know Fox isn't dying. It's been a lie. This whole thing has been a lie from the start.

Kay: Just like you sleeping with Charity was a lie?

Miguel: Absolutely.

Kay: You know what? I've had enough out of you, ok? Why don't you make yourself useful, ok? And you take Maria home for me because I've changed my mind. I'm going to stay here with my husband because he needs me tonight and I'm sure he's really nervous about tomorrow morning, so --

Miguel: You can't really believe this nonsense, Kay.

Kay: Go, Miguel. My place is with Fox. Ok. Hey, good night, sweetheart. Ok, I'm going to see you in the morning. Ok? Ok. Now go, take her home. And then, you know what, maybe you should get down on your knees and ask God for forgiveness.

Whitney: Theresa, tell Ethan the truth about Little Ethan right now. You have to.

Theresa: I can't, Whitney. I can't. You heard those crazy messages that the blackmailer is sending me. If I tell Ethan the truth, I'll lose Ethan, my children, my position as head of the empire.

Whitney: Who really cares if you lose your position at Crane? I mean, really.

Theresa: I care, Whitney. I care. I mean, I need that money, I need all of that influence to protect my brothers from Julian. Otherwise Miguel -- he's going to go to prison for life. And Luis -- he's probably going to get the death penalty for raping Fancy and killing Rae. You know what that's going to do to my mom? She's lost Antonio, she's lost my father. I'm not going to let my family suffer anymore at the hands of the Cranes. I'm going to use their money against them to defeat them.

Whitney: Ok, fine. I understand what you're saying, but I just -- I just really hope you know what you're doing.

Theresa: Me, too. Dr. Russell, how is Jared?

Eve: Honey, he's in critical condition, but I managed to get him stabilized.

Theresa: That's good.

Eve: Well, it's not over, honey. He's going to need extensive surgery to remove that bullet. It's going to be touch-and-go the whole way, and if you'll excuse me, I have to make arrangements for that surgery.

Theresa: Oh, God. Please don't let him die because of me.

Ethan: What the hell is wrong with your sister? This is no time to be coy.

Luis: Yeah.

Ethan: I mean, one minute she says that she has something really important to tell me. Next minute she changes her mind and she doesn't.

Luis: Girl's got a mind of her own.

Ethan: Yeah, tell me about it. I mean, first she says she wants to get back together and have a family with me and Little Ethan and Jane. And the next minute, bam, 180, she just wants to be with Jared again. With no explanation, Luis.

Luis: Now Jared's been shot.

Fancy: Because he's been working on some investigation for Theresa.

Luis: Well, we don't know that for sure, cadet. Don't make assumptions.

Ethan: She might be right. I mean, something really strange is going on around here.

Luis: Yeah, even by Theresa's standards.

Fancy: I'll go to the car and get some witness forms.

Luis: You do that.

Luis: Now, she is amazing. Her whole world has been crushed and yet she still manages to go on.

Ethan: Fancy has always been strong.

Luis: Well, she's had to be. I'm going to call the station and file a report. As a citizen.

Ethan: Theresa, I am not going to rest until I find out what the heck you're hiding.

[Fancy screams]

Noah: Jess, come on, come on, snap out of it, Jess.

Paloma: She's not making any sense.

Noah: Damn it, she's just stoned out of her mind.

Jessica: Man, woman, man, woman, man --

Simone: Oh, honey, what have you done to yourself now?

Jessica: Oh, pretty shoes. So bright.

Simone: Where did she get those shoes from? She didn't have them on earlier.

Noah: What is she on? You guys don't think this is an OD, do you?

Simone: What's that?

Paloma: It's cocaine.

Jessica: Cocaine?

Kay: I just ran into Miguel. Actually, he's going to take Maria home for me.

Fox: What the hell is Miguel doing here?

Kay: Relax. He's just worried about you. He just came by to check up on your condition.

Fox: Oh, right, sure, because he tried to kill me.

Julian: Probably came back to finish the job.

Kay: All right, you guys, just calm down. He's gone. He just did me a favor. Now I get to stay here all night with you.

Fox: Oh, really?

Kay: Well, isn't that good news? How are you felling? You don't look so well.

Fox: Well, I don't feel so well. I have a lot on my mind.

Kay: I'm sorry. I would do anything to make you feel better.

Fox: Anything?

Kay: Mm-hmm. I wish it was me in that bed instead of you. You don't deserve any of this.

Fox: That's for sure. But, no, Kay. I love you too much to bring any pain upon you.

Kay: Julian, do you think that there's any way you could give us a little --

Julian: A bit of privacy, yes.

Kay: Thank you.

Julian: Indeed.

Kay: Ok. Is that better?

Fox: Yes. It always makes me feel better when the woman I love gets into bed with me. Or at least it did.

Miguel: Eve, Eve.

Eve: Miguel, I'm sorry, I don't have the time.

Miguel: This is important, ok? Tell me the truth, please. Is Fox really ill?

Eve: Of course he is.

Miguel: I don't believe it.

Eve: Well, that's your problem. Now, Dr. Gasparro is treating him. He found his tumor, he biopsied it. It is definitely malignant. Fox is a very sick man, and he's going to be going through absolute hell.

Miguel: Well, it makes no sense.

Eve: Miguel, I've always thought of you as a very fine young man, and I know that Pilar has raised you to be kind and compassionate. So please stop harassing a dying man. Just stop it.

Whitney: Theresa, honey, I've been here for you ever since this whole thing started back in Rome. And keeping the truth to yourself has always been a bad idea. But you heard my mother. Jared is in critical condition and he could die. And you know this blackmailer has something to do with it.

Theresa: That's what scares me, Whitney.

Whitney: Well, what's at the bottom of all of that fear? Secrets, honey. You have to get them out. Someone tried to murder Jared. What if you're next? What are you going to do, leave Little Ethan and Jane without a mother? Is that what you're going to do?

[Fancy screams]

Fancy: I will not let you get away from me this time! Help! Ugh!

Luis: Fancy. Oh, my God, what happened? You all right? Are you ok?

Fancy: Yeah. After him, Luis, or her. It was the attacker. He had on the ski mask, and I scratched him really good, Luis. Look, I even broke a nail.

Luis: Let's go! Damn it. He got away.

Fancy: You know what? We'll catch him. Let's just do it my way.

Luis: What do you mean?

Fancy: Let's go to Aunt Sheridan's cottage.

Luis: What?

Fancy: I think she's the attacker, Luis.

Luis: We already went through this, Fancy. It's not Sheridan.

Fancy: Fine. If she's innocent, then it won't hurt to check, will it? Luis, you are the one who always says a good cop listens to his gut. Well, my gut is telling me that Aunt Sheridan is guilty as sin.

Luis: All right, I'm not agreeing with you, but, fine, let's go. Come on.

Kay: Isn't this nice? Just the two of us, holding each other?

Fox: It is nice.

Kay: You know, I don't want you to worry about everything, ok? We're going to have many nights just like this, just holding each other and listening to each other's heartbeat.

Fox: Kay, you know, that's not really my idea of a good time.

Kay: Fox.

Fox: Listen, I'm sorry. I know you're trying to be sympathetic, but there's this word -- "impotent" -- keeps flashing on, off, on, off, like a neon sign in my brain. You know, maybe we could --

Kay: No, no. You don't want to rip your stitches.

Fox: We've always been so good together. I mean, this might be our last chance to --

Kay: Honey, I love making love to you. But the physical doesn't matter anymore. We have true love. That's all we need.

Miguel: I know your mommy is mad at me. You just wait, ok?

Maria: Mommy --

Miguel: Mommy is mad.

Maria: [Crying] Mommy?

Miguel: Ok, she's mad, but I promise you that we'll be back together soon, ok? Ok, I love you.

Maria: Mommy.

Julian: Over my dead body, Miguel. You will never have Kay. She's Fox's wife, and a Crane never shares his toys.

Chad: How'd I let myself get in this mess? {Look, I know it's going to be hard dealing with losing me. And I'm sorry, I never meant to hurt you. That's why I came to see you these last few times when you were upset. Tonight's it, ok? We're not hooking up anymore.} Please, God, just let him listen. Make him disappear. Make him leave me and Whitney alone.

Ethan: Whitney says she doesn't know a thing, and I think it's bull. All that whispering going on? Theresa, I'm going to find out your secret.

Whitney: Do you know sometimes I think you've completely lost your mind? I mean, it was crazy for you to go down to that alley all by yourself. Whoever shot Jared could've just as easily shot you, too.

Theresa: I know, I know. I thought about that, but you know what? I was all alone in that alley and I was helpless and it was dark, and if that blackmailer wanted to kill me he would've done it. Ok, but he didn't. I think he just wants to scare me.

Whitney: Well, it definitely scares me just talking about it.

Theresa: He meant to warn me off Ethan. It's working. I'm going to stay away from Ethan until I win my brothers' freedom.

Noah: Oh, Jess. Cocaine?

Simone: Yeah, it must be laced with something to make her act like this. Cocaine is a stimulant, and she looks like she took some sort of downer.

Jessica: Man, woman --

Paloma: Why does she keep saying that? It's like she's hallucinating or something. Let's get her to the hospital.

Noah: Come on, Jessie. Jess, come on. Ok, come on, baby. Oh, God. Come on.

[Man laughs]

[Knock on door]

Chris: Fancy, Luis. What are you guys doing here this late?

Fancy: We need to talk to Aunt Sheridan.

Chris: Uh, you can't.

Fancy: And why not?

Chris: She's not here.

Luis: Well, where is she?

Chris: I don't know where she is. You guys just woke me up. I thought she was in bed next to me, but she's not. I don't know where she is.

Fancy: So, what could Aunt Sheridan be doing all alone out in the dark, in the middle of the night?

[Man laughs]

On the Next Passions:

Theresa: Ethan, nothing in my life concerns you. I am with Jared.

Ethan: I love you.

Sheridan: What's going on?

Fancy: I think you know, Aunt Sheridan.

Man: I know you.

Chad: I don't think so.
