Fox: Did you talk to Kay? Is she still going away with Miguel?
Sam: Yeah, listen, they're on their way to the inn, ok? But I did talk to Miguel. And he gave me his word, he wouldn't take advantage of Kay.
Fox: And you believed him?
Sam: Look, Miguel's aware of Kay's amnesia. She thinks she's still engaged to him, not you. But he won't do anything to upset her. Trust me.
Fox: Look, I realize that Dr. Russell said that Kay has to get her memory back on her own or it could have serious consequences. But she's my fiancée. I can't stand the idea of her going away on this romantic getaway with Miguel.
Tabitha: Fox should be worried about that stew that Siren's cooking up. It's an aphrodisiac. One helping of that and he'll never give Kay another thought. Well, our flipper-finned friend has other ideas, it seems. Oh, she wants Miguel. But if she loses him to Kay, then she'll take Fox instead. As I've told you, once he makes love to that mermaid, he'll never be able to love another mortal. I suppose we could try, my little witchling. But you know it would be better for us if -- if Miguel and Kay do get together, because that way we can be sure that he'll never go chasing after Charity again. Oh, Fox is a survivor. But I'll tell you, if it makes you feel any better, Kay does not have my lust potion, so she won't be able to force Miguel into any of that sort of thing. Oh! Oh no, where -- where has my lust potion gone? It was -- oh, that naughty Kay. She took it. Oh, Hades. If she uses that on Miguel, he'll never be able to resist her.
Kay: Miguel, it's beautiful.
Miguel: Yeah, it is.
Kay: Ah. This is going to be the most perfect romantic getaway.
Miguel: No. I just hope you're not expecting too much.
Kay: What do you mean?
Miguel: I mean, I'm just really tired and I'm not going to be up for a night of lovemaking. At least not tonight.
Kay: Don't worry about it.
Miguel: You're not upset?
Kay: No, not at all. I mean, I wouldn't pressure you if you're too tired. We have all the time in the world.
Miguel: That's sweet. Thank you for understanding.
Kay's voice: But you will make love to me tonight. I promise.
Gwen: I know why you named your son after my husband, but Ethan is not little Ethan's father.
Theresa: Just leave me alone. I know Ethan's not going to leave you. I'm not going to pursue him anymore. End of story.
Gwen: Ok, like I'm supposed to believe anything you say?
Theresa: What do you want from me, Gwen?
Gwen: Theresa, I'd love to see you married off to someone else and frankly living on Mars. Then and only then will I believe that you're going to stop trying to take Ethan away from me.
Pilar: You are home, Theresita. I'm so glad, mija. You have been gone way too long.
Theresa: Oh, I missed you so much.
Pilar: I missed you, too. Good little girl. Ethan and Gwen, hi. I'm so glad you're back, too.
Ethan: It's good to be back.
Gwen: It's good to see you, Pilar. And I'm sorry we can't stay long. We really want to get home to Jane.
Pilar: Hey, uh-uh, what is that sadness in your eyes? What's happened?
Theresa: Oh, Mama, so much has happened. So much happened in Rome that my life's never going to be the same.
Chris: Hang on, darling, hang on.
Fancy: The contractions are coming closer and closer together.
Sheridan: I can't have the baby now. It's too soon. Oh, God.
Chris: You're going to be all right. You're going to be all right.
Miguel: Wow, you look amazing.
Kay: Thank you. So do you. Oh, this was a great. Coming to this inn, having some alone time. Just us, no one else.
Miguel: We better not be late. We don't want to lose our reservation.
Kay: Or we could just order room service and get more comfortable.
Miguel: But we're already dressed. And you look way too beautiful for me to keep you all to myself.
Kay: Yeah, you're so sweet. Ok, let's go.
Kay's voice: I don't know why you're avoiding it, but thanks to Tabitha's lust potion, we will make love tonight.
Sam: Fox, Fox, come here. Relax, all right? Miguel knows the situation. He won't let anything happen. He won't let it get out of hand.
Fox: I -- I shouldn't have involved you in this, Sam. Kay's your daughter and I shouldn't have put you in this situation.
Sam: Oh, it's a little difficult not to think about her in this situation. But Eve's a good doctor and if she says Kay's going to come out of this on her own, then we have to believe that.
Fox: I hope Dr. Russell's right.
Siren: Fox, why don't you sit down? The stew's almost ready.
Fox: I'm not hungry.
Siren: Ah, but you will be after a taste. You won't be able to resist.
Tabitha: You really think that's going to work?
Siren: Of course it will work. And it's only fair if Kay takes Miguel away from me, I will have Fox.
Tabitha: And it doesn't bother you that he will never be able to love another mortal?
Siren: I can't help that.
Tabitha: Of course you can. You are a mermaid. You could break the mermaid's curse.
Siren: No, I can't. And why would I want to? It's a wonderful curse -- to have a man fall so in love with me, he'll never love another woman again.
Tabitha: Oh, Endora, it's no good. She's bewitched the pot. All you can do now is hope that Fox doesn't eat the damn stew, because if he does, he will be Siren's pawn forever.
Pilar: What happened, huh? What happened in Rome that has you so unhappy?
Theresa: Many things.
Ethan: Theresa, we're -- we're going to go home, but did you want to come with us to see Jane?
Theresa: I would love that. Yes, I would, of course. Of course I want to see Jane, yes.
Pilar: Excuse me. Hello? Yes, Valerie. Yes, she's right here. Hold on. It's for you, sweetheart.
Theresa: Thank you, Mama. Uh, yeah, Valerie, what's up? No, I haven't really checked my e-mails yet, but I -- I can right now. Ok. Oh, my God. I've never had this many messages.
Ethan: Now that you are back as head of Crane, you're going to be swamped, Theresa.
Pilar: I'm -- I'm sorry, wait. What do you mean she's back in charge of Crane Industries? I -- I was told that Alistair came out of his coma.
Ethan: Alistair's dead. He died in a train wreck with Beth and with Marty, too.
Pilar: M-my -- dios mio -- Marty.
Ethan: Pilar, I'm -- I'm so sorry.
Pilar: Does Sheridan know?
Ethan: Yeah, Luis called Sheridan from Rome.
Pilar: My God. Poor Sheridan, my poor Luis.
Theresa: Valerie, I -- I can take care of this right away. I'll get right back to you. Thanks.
Theresa: I can't go with you to see Jane. I got to take care of business.
Gwen: Oh, that's too bad.
Little Ethan: May I please go with Uncle Ethan?
Ethan: Hey, we -- we'd love to have him if he wants to come.
Little Ethan: May I?
Theresa: Of course, absolutely. Yes. Please go. I love you. Oh, you're so cute. You have fun, ok? All right.
Ethan: Let's go, E. Come on.
Little Ethan: Bye, Mommy.
Theresa: Bye, baby.
Ethan: I'm sorry, Pilar.
Pilar: It's ok.
Pilar: Oh, my God. You never know, huh, when a loved one is going to be taken away from you. I hardly knew that little boy. You know what? It's a good thing that Ethan is so caring and sweet to little Ethan. It's like he has a second father, you know?
Theresa: Mama, Ethan is little Ethan's father.
Pilar: I know. I know Julian is never around. And now that Alistair's dead, thank God, his evil influence won't be around to affect little Ethan.
Theresa: I mean Ethan is little Ethan's only father. I saw the proof in Rome.
Pilar: What are you saying? What are you saying, Theresa? How -- how can this be --
Theresa: It's true.
Pilar: That's incredible news. Does Ethan know?
Theresa: Uh-uh, I'm not going to tell him.
Sheridan: Oh, God, the baby's coming. I can't stop it.
Fancy: Ok, just try to relax, Sheridan. The paramedics are on their way.
Sheridan: Why did I leave the hospital? I should've stayed.
Luis: Sheridan, we're going to get you to the hospital as fast as we can.
Sheridan: Oh, God, please don't let this happen. Please don't let this baby come too early. I lost Marty. I can't lose this one, too.
Fancy: I'm so sorry.
Kay: Wow, this place is beautiful. So romantic.
Miguel: Yes, it is. It's fancy. You know what? I think we're a little early. Do you want to just wait by the bar?
Kay: Yeah, yeah, that's fine with me.
Man: It's just, so then I said, the fish was that big.
Man: Oops, sorry.
Miguel: Watch what you're doing. Are you blind?
Man: As a matter of fact, yes.
Second man: But we try not to force it on people. Is your wife all right?
Kay: Yeah, yeah, I'm fine.
Man: Oh, thank goodness. We wouldn't want to give the handicapped a bad name.
Second man: No. Say, Horace, we told Sid and Nancy we'd get a table. She if it's ready?
Horace: Hey, if we see anything, we're going to be on the 11:00 news.
Horace: But I can ask.
Man: Better come with you. Don't want you embarrassing yourself over all the beautiful ladies in the room.
Horace: Pardon me, madam. Your roots are showing.
Man: Hi there, I do apologize. The -- the gentlemen stay with us here often with their other blind friends. Well, as you can see, they have quite the sense of humor. They always ask me for a table with a view.
Miguel: That's funny.
Man: They mean no harm.
Miguel: No, no harm done. My name is Lopez-Fitzgerald. We have a reservation.
Man: Certainly, sir. Please follow me to your table.
Man: I hope this is satisfactory.
Kay: Ah, this is perfect. Isn't it, honey?
Miguel: It's great. Thank you.
Waiter: Something to drink?
Miguel: Some sparkling water would be great.
Kay: What? Oh, come on, we are on vacation. You know, we'll have a bottle of champagne, please.
Waiter: Very good.
Kay: You know, you look so good tonight.
Miguel: Oh, come on. So do you. And you know what? I'm always amazed by you. I mean, you work, you take wonderful care of Maria, and you still manage to look the way you do. Absolutely beautiful.
Kay: Oh, you're so sweet. Thank you. I love you so much.
Miguel: I love you, too.
Waiter: Excuse me. Mr. Lopez-Fitzgerald? You have a call.
Miguel: Hey, this is Miguel.
Fox: Miguel, it's Fox.
Miguel: What do you want?
Fox: I just wanted to remind you that Kay may think that she's in love with you, but you and I both know that she's engaged to me. So fair warning -- don't you dare touch her. You understand?
Pilar: What do you mean Ethan will never know that he's little Ethan's father? Why won't you tell him?
Theresa: I can't.
Pilar: Why not? He deserves to know he has a son. You can't keep this from him.
Theresa: Of course I wanted to tell him, Mama. I thought that if he knew that little Ethan was his son, he would finally leave Gwen to be with me. We would be a family with little Ethan and Jane.
Pilar: Exactly. So then why wouldn't you tell him the truth, Theresa?
Theresa: Because I heard him talking to some friend of his in Rome, and Ethan advised his friend to stay married to wife but sue the woman that he had an affair with, that he has a child with, for custody. And if I told Ethan that little Ethan was his son, he would do the same thing to me. He would sue me for custody of little Ethan and then I would lose my son.
Pilar: No, Theresa, no.
Theresa: Mama, I lost Ethan to Gwen. I've lost my daughter to them. I'm not going to lose my son to them, too.
Pilar: This is insane. This has nothing to do with you and Gwen fighting over Ethan. This is about that man knowing that he has a son with you. And you call him, Theresa. You call him and you tell him right now.
Kay: Fox? Well, why is he calling? Is Maria ok?
Miguel: Hey, Kay wants to know if Maria's all right.
Fox: Maria's fine.
Miguel: Maria's fine.
Kay: Then why did he call? What does he want?
Miguel: He just -- just wanted to make sure we're having a good time.
Kay: What? Why? Why is Fox always so worried about what we're doing? I don't get it.
Miguel: Look, Everything's fine here, Fox. We're -- we're having a great time.
Fox: Just remember what I said, Miguel. Sam, will you please tell Miguel, too?
Sam: Sure. Hey, Miguel, it's Sam. Yeah, listen, I know you have no intention of taking advantage of my daughter, but Fox is a wreck.
Miguel: I understand.
Sam: So you'll take care of it, right?
Miguel: Absolutely. I mean, nothing to worry about.
Sam: Good. Then I'll see you soon. Yeah. See? I don't think you have anything to worry about, ok? Miguel gave me his word.
Fox: I hope you're right, Sam. Because if I thought that there was a chance that Miguel would make a move on Kay, I'd lose it.
Kay: Ok, that was weird, wasn't it?
Miguel: Yeah, it was. But hey, the important thing is Maria is fine. Ok?
Waiter: Let me know when you're ready to order.
Miguel: Thank you. We will, thanks.
Kay: Oh, my God, is that a whale?
Miguel: What, where?
Kay: To the left. Oh, my God.
Miguel: I don't see it.
Kay: It was right over there. Weird.
Miguel: It must have gone under the surface. I didn't see anything.
Kay: Yeah, yeah, it probably did. Well, anyway, here's to us.
Gwen: Sweetheart, this is how it should be. The four of us here together and happy. But you know I can never let myself be too happy because I know it's not going to last.
Ethan: Why would you say something like that?
Gwen: Because I know that Theresa's out there. She's scheming, she's lurking, finding some new way to steal you away from me.
Ethan: No, no, no. No, no, no. Theresa has given me up for good.
Gwen: Ethan, I don't believe that, not for one minute.
Pilar: No, Theresa, there is no excuse good enough to keep this from Ethan. He needs to know that he is little Ethan's father.
Theresa: It's not going to bring Ethan back to me.
Pilar: How can you be so selfish, mija?
Theresa: Maybe I am being selfish, but I'm not going to give Ethan the chance to take my son from me.
Pilar: What makes you think that he would even try something like that? He knows you're a good mother. He knows how much you love that --
Theresa: It doesn't matter, ok? I heard what he told his friend. He would sue me for custody of little Ethan. And then I would never see my son just like I never see Jane.
Pilar: Now that's not true Theresa. You see Jane whenever you want. At least whenever you can get away from business to be with her.
Theresa: Gwen has custody of my daughter, Mama. I'm not going to hand over my son to her, too.
Pilar: I see. This is just another one of your plots to get Ethan, isn't it?
Theresa: No. I've given Ethan up, Mama. I've given Ethan up forever.
EMT: We'll try to slow the contractions.
Sheridan: Oh, please, I can't have this baby too soon or he'll die. I can't lose this baby. Please, please, help me.
EMT: We're going to help you, ma'am. Just try to relax. We're going to take you to the hospital now.
Luis: Seems the medication's working.
Fancy: She hasn't had another contraction.
Chris: Well, maybe they've stopped.
Fancy: Yeah, let's hope so.
EMT: We're too late.
Chris: Do something.
Luis: What's happening?
Fancy: What is that blood? Is she losing the baby?
Sheridan: Oh no.
EMT: I'm afraid so.
Sheridan: No, God, please God, no. Please.
Tabitha: Need any help with that?
Siren: No, thank you, Tabitha. I can manage. Fox, it's almost ready.
Fox: I told you, I'm -- I'm not hungry.
Siren: Oh, come on, you have to try it. I promise you, it'll be great.
Tabitha: Certainly has an unusual aroma, doesn't it?
Tabitha: Stinky, yes.
Siren: Here you are, Fox. Come and get it.
Fox: Thank you, Siren, but I'm still not hungry.
Sam: Oh, come on, Fox, come on. Get over here and try a little bit of this. Besides, Siren worked so hard making this stew.
Miguel: How's your dinner?
Kay: Oh, it's wonderful. How's yours?
Miguel: Actually, I feel kind of strange.
Kay: Strange? Do you think it's the food?
Miguel: I don't know. I just -- I just feel strange.
Horace: Excuse me, sorry. Sorry.
Kay's voice: Gosh, I hope this stuff doesn't make Miguel sick.
Miguel: I think I know why I feel strange.
Kay: You do?
Miguel: I have no appetite for anything but you, Kay. I want you.
Miguel: I want you.
Miguel: Let's go.
Miguel: Come on.
Miguel: Hey, food was great, just charge it to the room. Give yourself a generous tip. I'm about to make love to the most beautiful girl in the world.
Theresa: I know. I guess I just -- I finally had enough. It doesn't matter if Ethan loves me. He's committed to Gwen. He's committed to his marriage vows.
Pilar: I've been telling you that for years.
Theresa: I know. I should've listened to you. I made many mistakes, Mama. Ethan's never going to leave Gwen, and I'm going to accept that.
Pilar: I'm sorry, baby, I'm so sorry.
Theresa: I'm never going to be with the man that I love. Never.
Luis: What's happening?
Chris: Please, do something. You've got to help her.
Fancy: Please don't let her lose the baby.
EMT: I'm sorry.
Second EMT: We did everything we could.
Sheridan: What? No, no. What -- what are you saying? I -- I can't lose this baby. I can't lose my baby.
EMT: I'm so sorry.
Second EMT: Mr. Boothe, I'm sorry, but your wife's body rejected the fetus.
Chris: My wife's body didn't reject the baby. Please, you've got to do something. Save our child.
EMT: It's too late, Mr. Boothe. The baby didn't make it.
Sheridan: No, you have to save my baby. You have to.
Chris: I'm so sorry, sweetheart.
Sheridan: It's not too late. It's not too late.
Chris: We've lost our baby.
Fancy: It can't be true. I can't stand this.
Luis: I can't believe this is happening.
Sheridan: My baby. My baby.
Chris: It's going to be ok. It's going to be ok.
Fox: You know, it is too hot. I'm going to -- I'm going to let it cool off a little.
Siren: Enjoy it. I'll be right back. And by the time I get back, Fox will be unable to resist me.
Sam: You mind if I have some of that stew?
Tabitha: Uh-oh, Sam has no idea what he's getting into.
Fox: Funny about Tabitha's house. I mean, one day it burns completely down to the ground, the next day it's rebuilt? Do you think it's magic?
Sam: Nah, I doubt it. Magic -- maybe at carnivals and stuff like that. Not around here. Sure you don't want any?
Fox: No, I'm good. Thank you, Sam.
Tabitha: Oh my. Ivy has no idea what's in store for her. And neither does Sam.
Kay: You know what? Maybe we should have some wine first.
Miguel: Oh, we can have some wine after.
Kay: Oh, what's the rush? I mean, we have all night. And I just want to enjoy every second I have with you. So please, could you please pour me some wine? Please? Thank you.
Kay: Isn't this wonderful? Just the two of us. No Tabitha, no Siren, no Fox.
Miguel's voice: Fox. I promised him I wouldn't do this.
Miguel: You know, Kay, you're right. We have all night to do this.
Kay: Yes, we do.
Miguel: You know, I need to brush my teeth.
Kay: What? Brush your teeth? What's wrong? You were so passionate a minute ago.
Miguel: Nothing's wrong.
Kay: Then make love to me. Make love to me right now.
Pilar: Theresita, listen to me, huh? Listen to Mama. You're young. You have your whole life ahead of you. You will find love again.
Theresa: I just can't imagine loving anyone but Ethan.
Pilar: I know.
Theresa: Uh --
Theresa: Yes? No, Valerie, you know, I -- I can check 'em right now, ok, and I can get right back to you? Thank you.
Pilar: Theresa, how do you know that Ethan wouldn't leave Gwen to be with you if he knew that he was little Ethan's father?
Theresa: I just know that he won't. And I'm not going to take the chance that he's going to sue me for custody of little Ethan.
Pilar: Theresa, but you might be giving him the chance to follow his heart and to be with you.
Theresa: No, I'm not going to go down that road again. I've made my decision and I'm going to stick to it.
Theresa: What -- what is this? This must be the spy camera that I installed on Gwen's computer.
Pilar: Theresa, don't.
Theresa: Why is she living my dream? Why?
EMT: We'll let you know as soon as it's ok to come back in.
Chris: I can't believe this is happening. How can this happen so fast? I had a -- I had a child. I had a wife with a baby on the way, and now -- how can this be happening?
Luis: I'm sorry.
Luis: This just makes no sense.
Chris: No, doesn't make any sense at all. Why would something like this happen?
Luis: Why? Two words why: Alistair Crane.
Chris: Sheridan's father?
Luis: Yes, Sheridan's father. The man's been making her life miserable ever since she was a child. He's a monster.
Chris: But -- but he's dead. And he couldn't have caused us to lose the baby.
Luis: Yeah, right. Don't kid yourself.
Chris: Where did you get that?
Luis: What, this bracelet?
Chris: Yeah. Where did you get it?
Luis: Well, apparently this symbol connected Alistair to all his people. He gave it to them so that -- so they'd recognize each other. And if I see someone with it, I'll recognize 'em. I'll know they're working for Alistair.
EMT: All right, she has stopped bleeding. You're clear to go to the hospital. Dr. Russell wants to examine you.
EMT: It's just a safety precaution.
Sheridan: No, I just want to be left alone.
EMT: We can't force her to come with us.
Second EMT: No, we can't. So we'll just take the fetus with us.
Sheridan: Wait, you're taking my baby?
EMT: Yes, ma'am.
Sheridan: Well, can't I keep it?
EMT: You can claim the body for burial after the coroner's examined him or her.
Sheridan: Oh, my poor baby.
Fancy: I'm so sorry, Sheridan.
EMT: Dr. Russell will get a full report.
Sheridan: I want to see my child. Please.
Sheridan: Oh no, my baby. My tiny, sweet baby.
Fox: There's got to be an explanation, Sam.
Sam: Oh my God!
Tabitha: Oh, oh, is something wrong, Sam?
Sam: Ivy! Ivy, where are you? You need to meet me right now!
Tabitha: Oh, poor Ivy. The state he's in, he's liable to break a couple of ribs or something. That reminds me. I wonder if Kay's given Miguel my lust potion yet. And if she has, I wonder how he's taking it.
Kay: Make love to me.
Miguel: Kay, you look so beautiful. I want you.
Theresa: That should be me. Ethan should be a family with me and our son and our daughter.
Pilar: Then call him. Call him, Theresa. The only hope you have of living your dream is to tell Ethan the truth that he's little Ethan's father. He deserves to know. Tell him, Theresa.
Luis: Damn Alistair. Sick, sick bastard. Took my son's life. And he's taken your baby's as well. I'm telling you, if I ever see anyone with this symbol, I will know they were working for Alistair and I will make them pay.
EMT: I'm sorry, Mrs. Boothe, we have to go. We need to take the fetus.
Sheridan: It's a -- it's a baby. It's not a fetus. It's a baby.
EMT: Yes, ma'am, we have to take the baby.
Fancy: Sheridan, please let them take the baby. Ok? It's ok. It's ok.
EMT: I'm so sorry. You understand?
Fancy: Yes, yes. I -- I understand.
Sheridan: No, no. No, don't take my baby. No, please. Please don't take my baby, please, no. No.
Luis: Is that --
Chris: My baby?
Sheridan: Please, stop. Stop, please. Please don't take my baby. Please, God, don't take my baby --
Chris: No, no, let the baby go. [Whispering] It's ok. It's ok.
On the Next Passions:
Tabitha: The Bennett house is going to witness a night of passion unequaled since Jane finally gave in to Tarzan.
Miguel: Lust potion?
Fancy: What's this?
