Kay: Can you help me with this?

Fox: Sure. Poor Pilar--you're so gorgeous that nobody is going to pay any attention to anybody but you.

Kay: Oh, stop.

Fox: You know, someday soon, when you accept this ring around my neck, we'll have our own wedding day. And I can't wait to see you in your own wedding dress. I can't wait to see you out of it, too.

Kay: Ooh. Well, just so you know--girls change out their dress at the reception, before they even get to the honeymoon.

Fox: Who says I'm going to wait for the honeymoon?

Kay: We can't do that at the reception.

Fox: Why not? We'll start a trend.

Kay: Ha.

Fox: Oh well. Well, I'll just have to wait and dance every single dance with you. And dream about our honeymoon suite.

Kay: Well, I'm not much of a dancer.

Fox: Oh, we will have to fix that. You know, after the receiving line, the bride and the groom have to have the first dance out there with everybody staring at them. I mean, it's big pressure. I think it should be a waltz. It's so elegant when it's done properly.

Kay: I don't know how to waltz.

Fox: You are looking at a survivor of 6 years of cotillion dance class at the country club. I'll teach you how to dance. Would you care to dance, Miss Bennett?

Kay: Now, Mr. Crane?

Fox: There's no time like the present, Miss Bennett.

Kay: Mm--mm, ok.

Fox: And 1-2-3, 1-2-3, 1-2-3. Look at my face, not at my feet.

Kay: I love looking at your face.

Fox: Ha ha, now you're getting it.

Kay: I'm falling all over the place.

Ivy: I do not like to be kept waiting, Valerie. Have you found Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald yet?

Valerie: No, not yet, Ivy. I've actually had to do some work for Crane Industries, you know, my j-o-b?

Ivy: Please stop with the whining and the excuses. Miguel is the key to breaking up Fox and Kay. Find him, and find him now.

Noah: Fancy already may lose her eye. Now she gets a threat like this. don't do that.

Maya: Noah, it's just me. I got your message. What do you want to talk about?

Noah: What do you think, Maya? I have to protect Fancy. Right? Now, who are these people? What aren't you telling me?

Mr. Collier: Keep up the good work, Gwen. Excuse me while I finish this call. Yes, everything is going according to plan. You've nothing to worry about.

Theresa: Good. Now, keep Gwen busy, because I'm off to see Ethan. I don't want her showing up and ruining my day.

Mr. Collier: I don't understand.

Theresa: You don't need to. You're being paid to keep her busy. Do it.

Mr. Collier: Oh yes, of course, sir. Business is business.

Gwen: Mr. Collier, when you get a moment, I think the valuation of this company you want to acquire is--is way off.

Mr. Collier: One second, Gwen. Your wish is my command, sir. Good-bye.

Theresa: Well, I have got Gwen right where I want her. Look at all those files. She's going to be working till midnight. I mean, that's--that's if she's lucky.

Pilar: You know what? You are exactly like that other Mrs. Crane--Katherine. I guess all the Mrs. Cranes try to steal other women's husbands.

Martin: No, Katherine, no, no, no, no, no, no--we can't do this. I'm renewing my marriage vows to Pilar today; this is Pilar's bed. This is soon to be my marriage bed. We can't do this.

Katherine: Oh yes, we can. We belong together. We belong together, Martin. Till death do us apart, darling.

Otto: don't waste any time in here; go secure our guests. And make sure those two don't get in this house. If you find Sheridan Crane or Chris Boothe, I want you to shoot to kill. I want those two interlopers dead. Do you hear me? If you see them, shoot to kill.

Martin: Oh, Katherine, no, no, no. I want you so badly, but this is wrong.

Katherine: Oh, darling, how can this be wrong? I love you. And I know you love me. I want us to make love, darling. I want us to make love.

Pilar: Turn it off, please. I can't stand to watch you become the new Alistair.

Theresa: That's not funny.

Pilar: That's not funny--then what do you call it? You're using his tools, his threats. You bribed that Mr. Collier to give Gwen a job that would keep her so busy that she would be away from her family. That way, she wouldn't interrupt you while you try to steal her husband. Oh, my God, today--you're doing this on a day when I'm going to renew my vows with your father.

Theresa: I'm not like Alistair.

Pilar: No, but then you're just like Katherine.

Theresa: No, I am not like Katherine either, Mama. She is trying to ruin a real marriage. I'm not.

Pilar: Theresita, you can lie to yourself all you want. But what we're talking about here is marriage. I don't care what got Ethan and Gwen to the altar; the fact is they're married. And marriage is sacred.

Theresa: Marriage is only sacred if it's based on love.

Pilar: What nonsense is that? You can twist the truth around any way you like it, Theresa. But you cannot deny that Ethan loves Gwen.

Theresa: No, not the way that he loves me. I'm the woman in his heart. And every day that he stays with Gwen, he's living a lie.

Ethan: Ok, sweetie, come on. Come on, eat for daddy. This is good. This is so good. It is good for you. Yeah, come on--ooh, boy. Ha ha ha, that's a nice pitch. Yeah, maybe you'll break the sex barrier. You'll become the first female pitcher for the Mets. Yeah, for the Mets.

[Phone rings] Oh, ok. Hold on. Oh, gosh--hello?

Gwen: Hi, sweetheart, it's me. Just calling to check in. Why is Jane crying?

Ethan: Um--uh, I don't know, honey. Women are a big mystery to me.

Gwen: Well, maybe she needs changing. Did you think of that?

Ethan: Yeah, yeah, I've thought of that. I've changed her 3 times so far, sweetie.

Gwen: Ok, and--and how about you?

Ethan: I'm fine. Why--why do you ask?

Gwen: Well, it is just you don't normally snap at me like that.

Ethan: I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

Gwen: Oh, honey, she's really going at it, huh? Do you need some help?

Ethan: Uh--no, no, no help. I'm fine, Jane's fine, the whole world's fine. We're having a--we're having a wonderful day, sweetie. A wo--wonderful day.

Chris: It's locked.

Sheridan: Well, we have to keep looking.

Man: I've got 'em. About to take them out.

Otto: Excellent. Get it over with now, and you'll get a fat bonus.

Kay: He sings, he dances--what can't you do?

Fox: Well, I can't seem to get you to say yes to marry me.

Kay: Oh, I will soon, I promise.

[Mumbles indistinctly]

Fox: It's ok.

Tabitha: [Clears throat]

Fox: Uh-oh, the dancing police. Officer, it's ok. I'm just giving a lesson.

Tabitha: Oh, you go right ahead, Fox. I've danced with the Chippendales myself a few times. All you're missing is that cute bowtie.

Fox: Kay's a pretty good student. She's never even had a waltzing class, and she's ready for dance competition already.

Kay: Uh, I don't know about all that.

Tabitha: Well, yeah, it doesn't surprise me. Our Kay can dance her way around anything, can't you?

Kay: How is my sweetheart? You come to me.

Tabitha: She's been missing her mommy. That's why we have got all these teddy bears here.

[Maria crying]

Kay: Oh-oh-oh, what are you doing? What are you doing? You sleepy?

[Phone rings]

Fox: It's my phone. Hello? Ah, Karen, you have those figures ready? Ok. I'm sorry. It is the office; I have got to take this call. I've been waiting for it.

Kay: Ok.

Fox: All right, Karen, go ahead.

Tabitha: Hey, you haven't accepted his proposal, have you?

Kay: No, I have not accepted his proposal. Look, he still has the ring around his neck.

Fox: Ok.

Kay: But I want to, as soon as it's ok with the planets.

Tabitha: Oh, you can't rush these things, Kay.

Kay: Yeah, I know, but I've got to get that ring around my finger before something else goes wrong. I already convinced Valerie to quit helping Ivy split us up. But knowing his nasty mother, she's probably up to her neck in some other horrible plot.

Tabitha: Yeah.

Valerie: I'm doing my best, Ivy. I'm trying to track down Miguel.

Ivy: Well, trying isn't good enough. I need results. You keep at it until you find him. I want Kay out of Fox's life yesterday.

Valerie: Yeah, so you've said.

Ivy: Oh, don't you take that tone with me, young lady. You remember--you can't make a move on Fox until he falls out of love with Kay. Now, call me the minute you hear anything. How are you feeling, sweetheart?

Fancy: Oh, I'm terrific. All I need is a parrot and a wooden leg.

Ivy: Fancy, that's not funny. Are you ready to go home?

Fancy: Well, I suppose.

Ivy: Well, Dr. Russell has a whole battery of world-renowned eye specialists all ready to examine you. But you don't have to stay here in this dreary hospital room. You might as well go home and have the doctors come to you. That's one of the advantages of being a Crane.

Fancy: Which you gave up.

Ivy: Well, it wasn't my decision. Not that I am complaining. There are things that even Crane power can't get you. Like love and happiness.

Fancy: Oh, why is my life such a mess? All I want is to love Noah and be happy. Why is that so complicated?

Maya: Why do you keep going back to that same subject? I told you everything I know.

Noah: Maya, that car could have killed me. It almost killed Fancy. And now she may lose one of her eyes. I have to protect her. And I can't do that unless you are completely honest with me. Now, what is going on?

Maya: I don't know. These people, whoever they are, are obviously dangerous. If you don't keep your mouth shut about what happened that night in the attic, you're going to make everything worse. If whoever is after us thinks Fancy knows what we do, they're going to go after her, too.

Noah: They already have done that, don't you think?

Maya: The best way to protect her is to keep her totally in the dark. If you tell her about what happened that night in the attic, you might as well put a gun to her head yourself. Do you want Fancy to be in more danger?

Ethan: Look, honey, it'll be fine. I mean, I--heck, I took on the attorney general when he went after Crane Industries and I beat him. So, certainly I know how to placate a fussy little baby, right? Listen, honey, you concentrate on your job and I'll just keep the home fires burning here, all right?

Gwen: Honey, I think this is going to be very exciting. You know, the work I've been handed is fascinating.

Mr. Collier: Gwen, have you looked at the analysis of the London takeover yet?

Gwen: Actually, I finished it, Mr. Collier.

Mr. Collier: Great, bring it into the conference room.

Gwen: Absolutely.

Mr. Collier: Thank you.

Gwen: Ok, sweetheart, actually I need to go. This job is really challenging. I love you.

Ethan: Yeah...yeah.

[Toy squeaks] So is this one, isn't it? Here you go. You like ducks? Yeah. Uh-huh, yeah.

Pilar: Theresa, ya. Please stop it, before you lose all sense of humanity. Let Ethan and Gwen live their lives in peace.

Theresa: Can we save this discussion for another day, Mama? I love you.

Pilar: But you don't respect my opinions.

Theresa: Oh, that's not true. Can we just agree to disagree? You know, just forget about Ethan and Gwen, just--just for today, please? You know, what we should be worrying about is--is making sure that your ceremony comes off without a hitch.

Pilar: You can't just sweep your sins under the carpet, Theresa.

Theresa: Please, Mama, please. You told me Father Lonigan is going to be here very soon. Mama, smile. Please smile. This is your big day, right? You've been dreaming of this day for months and months. And you've got to get dressed.

Pilar: [Sighs] Fine. You're right, and I'm probably running late. I don't know why I do it. Why do I put with you, just twisting me around your little finger?

Theresa: I wish that were true.

Pilar: I'm glad, actually, that you convinced me to have the ceremony here. Because the living room does look beautiful.

Theresa: Oh, not as beautiful as you're going to look. And I'm sure that Papa's going to look very handsome, too.

Pilar: I'm sure he is. He went to the house to get his tuxedo, actually. Oh, God, I'm so nervous about being this happy, because I just feel like everything is going to be just snatched away from me.

Theresa: Hey, that's ridiculous. Ok? Now, come on, we are going to get you dressed. And I bet the only thing that Papa's thinking about right now is his beautiful, beautiful bride.

Katherine: Oh, Martin, I love you, I love you. I have never stopped loving you.

Martin: You're so beautiful. You're everything I have ever wanted.

Katherine: Kiss me, darling. Kiss me, I love you. Make love to me. Yes--

Martin: What the hell am I doing? I can't make love to you. I won't.

Katherine: Martin, please. Martin.

Martin: Please, get dressed. We have to stop this. It's over. We can't bring back the past.

Katherine: This is not about the past. And you know that.

Martin: Just stop it, stop it. It kills me to see you demeaning yourself... begging for my love.

Katherine: Beg for your love? I'm not begging for your love, Martin. I have your love. You're lying to yourself. The only reason that I'm doing all this is to try and bring you to your senses that we belong together. Oh, Martin. Oh, my beloved Martin. You're my husband.

Martin: I'm Pilar's husband.

Katherine: By law. Real marriage is based on love, Martin. The heart, the soul, and that's us. And you are my husband. This is a very special love. You can't just throw it away. And mark my words, Martin. If you do, we will regret it till the day we die.

Ivy: You really love Noah, don't you? It's--it's not just a fling.

Fancy: No, Mother. It's love. You know how I know? It hurts so much.

Ivy: Oh, Fancy. I don't like to meddle in my children's lives.

Fancy: [Chuckles] Oh. Thank you, Mother.

Ivy: For what?

Fancy: Making me smile.

Ivy: [Laughs] Oh, I guess I should be insulted. But, honey, I just wish there was something I could do. But love is--it's difficult.

Fancy: Hmm, don't worry, there's nothing you can do. Noah's the only one who can patch up our relationship.

Ivy: How?

Fancy: He's lying to me. He has to be. I've been trying to get him to tell me what happened with that Maya creature for days now. All I get are hems and haws.

Ivy: There's more to that girl than meets the eye. I just wish the police could figure it out.

Fancy: We wouldn't need the police if Noah would tell me the truth. He knows how important that is to me.

Noah: Listen, I got to go. I want to be there for Fancy, for when she goes home from the hospital.

Maya: Look, remember--

Noah: I--yes, I remember. I get it. Now, are you sure you're not holding something back from me?

Maya: Noah.

Noah: You don't know who these people are? What they want? How to contact them?

Maya: I swear. You know everything I know.

[Phone rings] don't tell me. It's you.

Woman: Mind your manners, Maya. I called to tell you, you did a bang-up job with Noah. The bug I put in your necklace is working perfectly.

Maya: Yeah, you can't even see it.

Woman: I heard every word.

Maya: Every lying word. I stuck to my story. All right? God forgive me.

Chris: Sheridan? Sheridan? Are you all right? Sheridan, no.

Man: I think I hit her.

Otto: Think? Think doesn't get you a bonus. Is she dead or not?

Man: I don't-- damn it, I lost the shot.

Chris: Sheridan, are you here? Answer me. Sheridan?

Chris: Sheridan, you can't be dead. I love you too much.

Sheridan: Hmm.

Chris: Oh, oh, thank God. I thought you were dead. Stay down, I don't know where the gunman is. Can't give him another shot.

Sheridan: I saw him aiming before he shot. I must have hit my head on a rock.

Chris: Well, there's a cut. Can you function?

Sheridan: Oh, I've been hit on the head many times before, Mr. Boothe.

Chris: Oh, the last time, if I can help it.

Man: Where did they go?

Chris: Wow, he almost got us.

Sheridan: Look, he shot the door open. We can get into the house.

Chris: Are you sure you still want to go through with this?

Sheridan: I can't live without my son.

Chris: Ok, and on my count. Hurry. One, two, three.

Tabitha: By the way, Ivy and Valerie are not the biggest threat to your relationship with Fox. You remember the spells, Kay. You remember the vision that you were given of the dark shadow that loomed over you and Fox at the altar?

Kay: Yeah. I wish I knew what that vision meant. I just assumed it was Ivy.

Tabitha: No, you didn't.

Kay: You know, for a witch, you are awfully insistent I always tell the truth. Ok, well, last night--

Tabitha: No need to tell me, dear. I know exactly what went on in here last night.

Kay: Oh, don't tell me that. Ew. What I meant was, last night I had a dream.

Tabitha: What kind of dream?

{Miguel: I belong here with you and our daughter, Kay. This time for keeps. }

Kay: [Whispers] A dream about Miguel.

Tabitha: I knew it. I knew that--what went on in that dream last night was hot and heavy.

Kay: Oh no, no. It was a dream, a memory. I'm over him.

Tabitha: Yes, of course you are, dear. Well then, why does that dream bother you?

Kay: It doesn't.

Tabitha: Hmm.

Kay: All right, it bothers me. It bothers me a lot. Because I think that shadow at my wedding to Fox is Miguel.

Valerie: If Theresa ever finds out I hacked into her cell phone records, she will have my head. She's been calling all these numbers in Mexico. Miguel has to be down there.

[Phone rings]

Valerie: Uh, hello, hello, I'm calling from the United States. Do you speak English?

Valerie: Damn it. Yo...esta...un uomo.

Valerie: Sorry, I am, ah, yo...need a man. Ok, that just came out all wrong.

Valerie: Ah, Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald?

Valerie: Oh, oh, my God. I just found Miguel.

Martin: No. I'm married to Pilar and I'll stay married to her. I owe her that.

Katherine: Oh, you owe her when you love me?

Martin: It doesn't matter. I abandoned Pilar and my family all those years ago. I left them to live a life of servitude and poverty. I mean, she raised our kids, she fed them, she clothed them, she kept them warm all on her own, while you and I lived a life of--of luxury in Mexico on your money. Pilar was so poor that she had to send poor little--poor little Paloma off to live with Maria in Mexico. Luis and Antonio, they never got to go to college. And now, they have lost their life due to some damn vendetta that Alistair has against my family.

Katherine: It's not your fault.

Martin: Of course, it's my fault! I'm responsible. Every day I'm reminded that both of my sons are dead because of me. Because of us.

Katherine: My god, you think--you think that sacrificing the rest of your life to live in a loveless marriage is going to bring your sons back?

Martin: No, I don't. But I'm going to devote every single day for the rest of my life to Pilar to make her happy. That's what I'm going to do.

Ivy: Fancy, Noah's here.

Fancy: Noah.

Noah: Hey, Fanc.

Fancy: Hey, yourself.

Noah: Um, I--I came to help take you home.

Fancy: My mother's here to do that.

Ivy: Oh, yeah, well, if--if Noah wants to do it, then you don't really need me.

Noah: Yeah, I'll do anything you want, Fancy.

Fancy: I don't need your help.

Ivy: Fancy, a lady needs the help of a kind gentleman every now and then.

Fancy: Fine, do what you want.

Ivy: Tell me the truth. Do you love my daughter or not?

Noah: Absolutely.

Ivy: Then you had better do something, and do it quickly, or you're going to lose her.

Sheridan: Marty, it's Mommy! Marty. Marty?

Chris: With any luck, we will find Beth, too.

Sheridan: Oh and I know just what to do with her.

Man: Sorry, Mr. Krause, I missed them. Not only are they alive; they're in the house.

Otto: Where did they get in?

Man: Side door near the bedrooms.

Otto: Where our guests are located? Everybody to the west wing. We have intruders. Go, go!

Sheridan: Marty? Answer me, sweetheart.

Chris: There's no sign of him.

Sheridan: Marty!

Chris: You found him?

Martin: For whatever time that I have left on this planet, I will make sure that Pilar knows she's loved.

Katherine: That's very beautiful, Martin. But you're kidding yourself. How can you make Pilar happy when you're not happy yourself? When in the depths of your being every day, you'll wish you were with me.

Theresa: You are going to be such a beautiful bride.

Pilar: Yeah. I am doing the right thing, aren't I?

Theresa: Mom, of course you are.

[Phone rings] Sorry.

Pilar: It's ok.

Theresa: I have got to take care of this.

Pilar: Ok.

Theresa: Um, look, Paloma, she's going to be here, very very soon, she's going to help you get dressed, and she's going to do your hair, ok?

Pilar: Thank you again, ok, so very much, for making this day so special for me.

Theresa: After everything that you've done for us, Mama, please, you know, I--to be honest, I used to resent how hard you worked, because you were never home. But now I feel ashamed that I-- I didn't do more to help you. So, anyway, helping you make your wedding dreams come true, that's the least that I can do for you, Mama.

Pilar: Thank you, my beautiful girl.

Theresa: I love you.

Pilar: I love you, too.

Theresa: And you have a good time, ok?

Pilar: Ok.

Theresa: And I'll be back very soon.

Pilar: Ok.

Ethan: Ok, let's think about this logically, ok, sweetie? If you--if you don't eat, then, see, you don't have the strength to cry all night and keep Daddy up. So you're going to want to eatsy. Hmm, hmm.

Gwen: Hello? Well--

Ethan: You're home?

Gwen: Wow, look at this mess. Yes, even people at the top need to eat. Oh my goodness. You're making a big mess, huh?

Ethan: Yeah.

Gwen: Pretty girls don't have things on their nose. No, you can't eat that. Look at this face. Oh, honey, mess, mess, mess, mess, mess, mess.

Ethan: She doesn't want to eat.

Gwen: Yeah, she will eat.

Ethan: She won't eat.

Gwen: Maybe we can eat like a big girl. We can eat like a big girl. Up, tup, so yummy.

Ethan: Well, ok, wait, hold.

Gwen: So yum, yum.

Ethan: How did you do that? Just now, how did--

Gwen: It's the magic touch of motherhood. Honey, I don't know.

Ethan: Mr. Collier let you come all the way home for lunch, eh?

Gwen: Oh well, he actually doesn't know that I left. But he's really pleased with me already and I realize that I need to balance work and family. So I am home to feed Miss Janey her lunch. There's a good girl. Oh yes that's a good girl. You want some of this?

Ethan: Janey Winthrop, you're a little traitor.

Gwen: Yum, yum, yum. Yum, yum, yum, yum.

[Phone rings]

Maya: Hello?

Woman: Maya. Why are you just sitting there drinking coffee? Get over to the hospital right now. Find out what Noah is telling that girl Fancy.

Maya: I can't just barge in there. I mean, they will know something's up. I will give the plan away.

Woman: You don't know that. Now get moving.

Maya: This is insane. What have I done to my life? And to Noah's?

Noah: Do you want this?

Fancy: The flowers?

Noah: Yeah. The ones I got you on Valentine's Day.

Fancy: Yes, I suppose so.

Noah: Fancy, will you please tell me what's wrong?

Fancy: You don't know?

Noah: I have an idea.

Fancy: Every time you're about to tell me about Maya, something happens and you weasel out of it. Unless you tell me what's going on, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, we have nothing to say to one another.

Fox: Yeah, can you hang on a sec?

Kay: [Whispering to Maria] Whoa, what was that for?

Fox: It's been over 10 minutes since I've kissed you. It was time. I'm sorry, I'm still stuck on the phone call.

Kay: It's ok, you're a busy man.

Fox: Go ahead.

Kay: Isn't he amazing?

Tabitha: If you like that cro-magnon sort of thing. If things don't work out with him, you can always go back to Miguel.

Kay: don't say that.

Tabitha: Well, you're the one who's dreaming about it.

Kay: I know.

Tabitha: So, you must still have feelings for him. And don't forget the shadow we saw in the bowl. Tell me something, girl. If Miguel came back to town, who would you rather be with? Him or Fox?

Valerie: So, Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald is there! Aqui?!

Valerie: Pardon, um Miguel, is he there?

Man: Miguel? Si, si. Miguel?

Sheridan: Marty.

Chris: Let me look, is it Marty?

Sheridan: Yes, look, travel itineraries, documents. Look at the date. Beth and Marty are still here.

Chris: You are right.

Sheridan: Oh, God, I can't believe how close we are. It's been so long since I've seen Marty.

Chris: Well then let's not stop. Marty's here. Let's go find him.

Sheridan: You're right, let's go find him, I know he's here.

Otto: My dear Miss Crane, you aren't going anywhere.

On the Next Passions:

Pilar: After we renew our vows, no one will come between my husband and me.

Fancy: Tell me the truth, or we can't be together.

Sheridan: Give me Marty back!
