Passions Transcript Tuesday 7/6/04
Proofread by Laurie
Ivy: I liked that movie.
Sam: So did I.
Ethan: I'm surprised you did, dad. All the cops were dirty in it.
Sam: Because you mean I'm a cop?
Ivy: Correction -- you are Chief of Police.
Sam: Yes. You know, there are some bad cops in this world. There's just none here in Harmony, I'm happy to say.
Gwen: Well, I liked the love story.
Ethan: What a surprise.
Ivy: I liked it, too, Gwen.
Gwen: You know, there is something very sweet about the way they just loved each other unconditionally and without reservation, and you just knew that there was no way that either one of them could ever love anybody else.
Ivy: True love conquers all.
Sam: In the movies.
Ivy: And sometimes in real life. Look at us.
Sam: Yeah. You know, it's still hard to believe that we're back together after all these years.
Ivy: Well, it's what I've dreamed of for so long, Sam. And the four of us, we hardly ever get out, you know?
Gwen: I know.
Ivy: This feels like a real family.
Sam: We are a family, you know, and we should do this more often.
Ivy: Yes, we should.
Ethan: It is so good -- it is so good to see them happy and together after so many years of being apart.
Gwen: I know. I mean, with Ivy married to Julian and Sam with Grace --
Ethan: They were both married to other people with other children, separate lives, and yet look. I mean, love has brought them together again.
Gwen: Well, that is another love story that I like.
Ethan: I guess it just goes to show you that true love doesn't die, huh? If two people are really meant to be together, eventually love will reunite them.
Gwen's voice: Am I your true love, Ethan, or is it Theresa?
Chad: Ok, well, you ladies wait here. I'm going to see if the table's ready.
Fox: We'll be right back.
Whitney: Ok. You know, Theresa, I don't think this is a very good idea at all.
Theresa: I know. You must be really uncomfortable now that you know that Fox is in love with you.
Whitney: Yeah, I am. I mean, I guess I'm just glad that Fox doesn't know that I know, you know what I'm saying?
Theresa: Yeah, and that Chad doesn't know either because he would go ballistic if he found out that his best friend was in love with you.
Whitney: What am I going to do?
Theresa: I think just, you know, try to act really natural around Fox tonight, that's all.
Whitney: I don't know if I can do that.
Chad: Ok, our table's going to be ready in a minute. I hope you two ladies are ready for a very romantic evening.
Liz: Oh, I think that T.C. Is going to enjoy meeting our lovely Aunt Irma. I think he's going to be very interested in hearing everything she has to say about you and your past. Isn't that right, Aunt Irma?
Irma: Whore. Slut. Tramp.
Eve: No, no.
T.C.: Eve, are you in there?
Liz: Oh, you're here, all right, but not for long. Once T.C. hears the truth about you, you're going to be back in the gutter where you belong.
Singer: I would hold the hand of the one who could lead me places; and kiss the lips of the one who could sing so sweet; and I, would fly on the wings of the bird, I knew could take me highest. Breathe in, breathe out. You keep me alive; you are the fire burning inside of me. You are my passion for life.
Gwen: I cannot believe this change in Ivy. She is absolutely glowing. Honey, I've just never seen her so happy.
Ethan: She's in love.
Gwen: Yeah, she is. Sweetheart, did you know that your mom was so unhappy with Julian when you were growing up?
Ethan: No, not when I was young. I mean, I knew there was tension. I just didn't know what it was. But as I grew older, the animosity between them, it was -- it was pretty obvious.
Gwen: Poor Ivy. Well, you know what -- at least she's happy now.
Ethan: Yeah, like she said, for the first time in a long, long time.
Gwen: I can't even imagine being in a loveless marriage like Ivy's. I mean, how horrible for her, you know, just longing every day to be with a man who is not your husband.
Ethan: Must have been hell for her, especially since Julian, you know, didn't make a big secret about the fact that he had other women on the side.
Gwen: Well, he was a horrible husband to her, and I think he's, you know, a pretty horrible husband to my mother, too, and, I mean, he's never been much of a father.
Ethan: No, he -- he never took much interest in any of us.
Gwen: And, honey, I will never, ever forgive him for the way he turned on you when it came out that you were Sam's son and not his. I mean, he was really vicious.
Ethan: Yeah. That was pretty hurtful, I'll admit. I mean, I thought my whole life that he was my father, and good or bad, I loved him as a father.
Gwen: He was just so cruel to you, and my heart was breaking for you, sweetheart.
Ethan: Hey, it's ok. I survived, right?
Gwen: Yes, you did.
Ethan: It's ok. You know, he's -- he's changed. Julian, he's softened. He -- I think he actually regrets the way he treated my mother.
Gwen: Well, you know what? At least Ivy got a happy ending. I mean, she has been in love with Sam all these years, and now they're finally back together.
Ethan: When two people belong together, nothing can keep them apart. Even after years, eventually, I think if they're meant to be together, they will be.
Gwen: You know, that's the second time tonight you've said something like that.
Ethan: It's true. Honey, love -- I mean, love, it's powerful. It's a powerful force. It draws people back together, you know?
Gwen: Are you talking about us being drawn back together, or about you and Theresa?
Chad: Theresa, are you ok? I mean, I know you fell off the cliff and, thank god, Fox was there to pull you up, but are you sure you're not hurt?
Theresa: Oh, no, I'm fine. I'm just, you know, very pregnant, that's all.
Chad: Well, let me help you to the table then.
Theresa: Oh, thank you.
Chad: Fox, you mind escorting Whitney for me?
Fox: Um, sure. Yeah, no problem, no problem.
Theresa: Oh, thank you.
Maitre d': Mr. Crane. What a nice surprise. Welcome.
Fox: Oh, thank you.
Maitre d': You know, it's always a pleasure to serve your family, Mr. Crane, to host such a beautiful couple, a couple so obviously in love.
T.C.: Hey, honey, I got a great bottle of wine I saw in one of those magazines.
Liz: It is all over now, Evie. Your dearly beloved is about to meet his real wife, not the phony, angelic, upstanding pillar of the community that he thinks that he's been married to all these years.
Eve: T.C., honey, you're back.
T.C.: Sweetie, I called out to you. Did you hear me?
Eve: I heard you.
T.C.: Well, why didn't you answer?
Eve: Because I was coming to you in the kitchen.
T.C.: Babe, I just bought this nice bottle of chardonnay. It's such a beautiful night tonight, I figured we would chill it and then we'd go down to the beach, ok?
Eve: That sounds like a wonderful idea.
T.C.: Yeah. We'll let that chill for a minute, and then we'll go.
Eve: Ok. Where you going?
T.C.: I'm going to go to the living room. I figure while it chills, we could go and maybe do a little dancing.
Eve: Know what, honey, why don't we just go, just forget the wine. Let's just go to the beach.
T.C.: Honey, I just bought the wine. It's chardonnay. It's your favorite.
Eve: Well, I appreciate that, but --
T.C.: All right. Let me get some snacks, you go into the living room, and I'll join you in a minute, ok? All right? And turn some music on. Go ahead.
Liz: Nice try, big sis, but give it up. There is nothing you can do to stop the inevitable. The truth about your past is going to come out tonight, and you are going down.
Maitre d': At the risk of sounding new age, there's an aura about two people when they're in love, and you two definitely have it.
Fox: Yeah, about that, I'm not sure --
Chad: Look, I'm afraid you have the wrong couple. No, Whitney's my girl. See, we're the ones in love. Fox is just our friend.
Maitre d': Really?
Chad: Really. Yeah, Fox is my buddy. He's my friend. I mean, we're all friends, but Whitney and I are the ones who are madly in love, right, baby?
Whitney: Right, yeah.
Maitre d': I'm terribly sorry. That was my mistake.
Fox: Hey, it's no big deal. Just show us to our table, we'll be all set. Not a problem.
Maitre d': Of course.
Fox: All right.
Theresa's inner voice: Does Whitney have feelings for Fox?
Liz: Oh, yes, you are going down tonight, Eve. And I can't wait for Aunt Irma to tell T.C. all about little old Evie Johnson.
Irma: Whore. Tramp.
Eve: Aunt Irma, you've got to stop saying those things.
Irma: I'm old. I say what I want.
Liz: That's right, Aunt Irma. You go ahead, say anything you want.
Eve: Well, how do you know that T.C. will even believe her? He'll probably think she's just senile.
Liz: Just go right on believing that, Eve.
Irma: Ok, ok. I've had enough of this place. Now, when are we going to get out of here? I thought you were taking me to the Mohican Sun so I could play some slots and some poker.
Liz: Be patient, Aunt Irma, because just in a little while, you are going to see some fireworks.
Irma: Well, I hope so, because the sooner I'm away from my slattern niece, the better, so let's get going.
Julian: Oh, god. Aunt Irma. Liz did know she was in the home. Damn her. [Julian is peering in the living room window, watching the Russells.]
Liz: We're waiting for Eve's husband, remember?
Irma: Well, where is he? I'm growing roots up in here. I mean, I don't have a lot of time left in this world, and I sure don't want to spend it in here.
Liz: He is here, and he'll be in in a few minutes. I want you to sit him down, and tell him everything about your dear niece Eve.
Irma: "Dear niece" my behind. She's a wicked girl who doesn't deserve to live in a place like this. She deserves to burn in hell.
Liz: That's what I need you to tell her husband, so he doesn't waste any more of his time. Tell him every little sordid detail.
Julian: This is what father was talking about when he said something horrible was going to happen to Eve. This will destroy her marriage and her life. [Still watching from outside.]
Liz: All right. Here, Aunt Irma. Deal us a hand of poker.
Irma: Poker. Now you're talking. All right, let's ante up.
Liz: Won't be long now, Evie, and you can kiss your sweet little life goodbye.
Gwen: So are you talking about our relationship or your relationship with Theresa?
Ethan: Ok, stop. You're my wife. I love you.
Gwen: That's not an answer. Honey, we have been through a lot to be together, and I was just wondering if that is what you were referring to all evening.
Ethan: I don't know. I don't know how you can doubt my love for you. I just -- I made a commitment to you, I made sacred vows of marriage. I mean, I meant every word of it. Every word.
Gwen: You really do love me.
Ethan: Yeah, I really do, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you.
Gwen: Well, I am very glad to hear that.
Ethan: By the way, where's all this coming from?
Gwen: Oh --
Ethan: Where is this coming from? Because I thought we were all past the insecurity about Theresa.
Gwen: I know, I know, honey, and I'm sorry. I'm really sorry, ok, because I just -- I don't want to be one of those insecure women who always needs reassuring. But we have been through so much, and I guess seeing that movie tonight kind of got to me. You know, the man, he's reunited with his lost love after moving on, and then seeing Sam and Ivy, and I get a little crazy.
Ethan: Shh, shh, shh. I love you. I love you. Only you. You have nothing to worry about.
Gwen: Look, honey, Theresa is carrying our baby, ok? She's so devious. You just -- you don't ever know what she's going to do, so I do worry, ok? I worry that something's going to happen to take you away from me again. I do.
Chad: You know what this reminds me of? Remember L.A., when we were staying with Fox?
Fox: Yeah, I remember.
Chad: Yeah. That place was cool, man. You know, the pool was terrific, the view was amazing. I got to tell you, you know, growing up on the streets of L.A., I never thought I'd stay in a place like that. Yeah, that place was terrific, wasn't it, baby?
Whitney: Yeah, it was beautiful.
Chad: Baby, I know we had some bad times, and I'm not trying to bring up bad memories, but we had some good times, too, and tonight reminds me of those good times.
Fox: Yeah, we did have some good times.
Chad: You know, I had to work a lot, and I had to depend on you quite a bit, Fox, to make sure Whitney wasn't too bored or left alone too much. And it occurred to me I had to do the same thing here tonight, you know, asking you to look after Whitney while I was working. Of course, I was a little shocked when I saw you two in bed together, but --
Whitney: Baby, you know, like I explained, nothing happened, nothing --
Chad: Of course not. That's my point. I just want to thank Fox for being a good friend, a good man, and, most importantly, someone I can completely trust. You know, friends like that are hard to come by these days. So, well, here's to you, Fox. [Toasting Fox with a glass of wine.]
Fox: Wait. Come on, that's nice of you, but you don't owe me any thanks, really.
Chad: Well, sure I do. I mean, how many guys could I trust to be alone with my beautiful woman? None that I can think of. You know, people say I'm crazy to leave you alone with Whitney so much, considering you're a Crane, but you're a good guy, man, and I know you'd never try to make the moves on the woman I love.
[Fox flashes back to a time in LA]
Fox: So I was thinking, you know, since we're supposed to be boyfriend and girlfriend, we should probably practice kissing just in case, I don't know, maybe somebody - somebody might come in here and see us under this. What do you think?
Whitney: Ok. I mean, just in case.
Fox: Just in case.
Whitney: Right. Ok.
Eve: Don't you know this isn't going to make you any happier? Your life isn't going to be better because my life is ruined.
Liz: Oh, don't worry about me. My life will be just ducky. You thought you could get away with it, didn't you -- having your wonderful husband, your lovely children, your beautiful home, and your sainted career as Dr. Eve Russell. You thought your past would never catch up with you. Guess what -- it has.
Eve: And what about my lovely children, Liz? I know you don't hate Whitney and Simone. But if you do this, then you are going to destroy their lives.
Liz: I am sorry about the girls. I really like them. I can't worry about that, Eve. You need to pay for the way you hurt me. You need to learn that there are consequences for your actions.
Eve: I never meant to hurt you.
Liz: Yes, yes, yes, so you keep saying. But every time my father raped me, you were in my mind! I kept thinking if you had been there or if you had taken me with you, then I wouldn't have been suffering the way I was.
Eve: Oh, honey. I'm sorry. I've told you over and over again how sorry I am for what happened to you. It wasn't my fault.
Liz: Well, I happen to think that it was. You abandoned me to be abused by that man, so you could go off into the world and become a drug addict and a whore. Isn't that right, Aunt Irma? Tell her! Tell her exactly what kind of whore we think she is!
Irma: Oh, the worst kind. Wicked, wicked.
Julian: Oh, my god. Poor Eve. [Still watching from outside.]
Liz: I'm not going to wait for T.C. To come in here any longer. I am going to go in and get him, so that we can tell him what kind of woman he is married to. Isn't that right, Aunt Irma?
Irma: Slut. Whore.
Julian: My god, this can't be happening. I have to do something to try to stop it.
Ethan: Nothing's going to happen. Nothing will happen to take me away from you. I promise you that.
Gwen: I just don't want you to make promises you can't keep, ok, because, honey, it's happened before with Theresa.
Ethan: It's not going to happen again.
Gwen: Honey, she's just -- she's always around, ok? I don't trust her.
Ethan: No, but maybe I can prove to you that you can trust me. Look, I can't control what Theresa does, honey, I can't, but I can control my feelings, I can control my emotions.
Gwen: Really? Because in California, all she had to do was throw herself at you, honey, and you were right there to catch her.
Ethan: I behaved horribly. I behaved very badly.
Ethan: And I'm going to spend the rest of my life making it up to you, I promise. I swear to you, she is my past. You are my future. I love you. You're the only one for me. The only one.
Sam: Here you go.
Ivy: Thanks. You know, I think maybe you need to have a little father-son talk with Ethan.
Sam: About what?
Ivy: Not about what, about who -- Theresa.
Chad: You know, I hope it's always like this, you know, the four of us taking trips together, having good times together. Don't you, baby?
Whitney: Hmm? Um -- well, you know, Theresa and I have been friends ever since we were little. It'd be hard to imagine the rest of my life without her being a major part of it.
Theresa: Yeah. I feel the same way.
Fox: All right. Sorry. You know, guys, I got to take this call. I'll be right back.
Theresa: Oh, I think I need some air. You know what, I'm going to be right back, ok?
Chad: Ok. What's up with Fox and Theresa?
Whitney: Um, what do you mean?
Chad: Well, they're hardly even looking at each other. They're sitting about as far away from each other as possible. What's going on?
[Whitney flashes back to her conversation with Theresa.]
Whitney: Theresa, honey --
Theresa: No, that's why he took my breaking up with him so well -- because he's still in love with you, just like I'm in love with Ethan.
Whitney: You know, Chad, I couldn't say.
Chad: Well, it's just weird, you know? On the way up here, all she could talk about was wanting to work things out with Fox. You think she tried, and he shut her down?
Whitney: Um, do you think that's what happened?
Chad: I mean, who knows? He was pretty hurt when she suddenly broke it off. Maybe he's not ready to make up.
Whitney: You think so?
Chad: I don't know, but I'm going to talk to Theresa. I mean, Fox and Theresa make a good couple. If there's anything I can do to help them get back together, I'm going to do it.
Whitney: Chad, do you really think that we should interfere?
Chad: Well, yes, I do. Something must've happened, and if it did, I'm going to find out what it is.
Whitney: No, honey, don't.
Chad: Why not?
Julian: My god, I have to do something to stop Liz, but what could I do that won't make things worse? [Julian watches through the window.]
Liz: Get ready, Eve, because here comes disaster. Let go of me!
Eve: I'm not going to let you do this thing!
Liz: You can't stop me!
Eve: Yes, I can, because I have had it with your threats and your blackmail, and I'm not going to take another minute of it!
Liz: And how exactly do you think you can stop me? Aunt Irma is here, and she is not going anywhere. And once T.C. comes in this room, he is going to know who she is, and then she is going to tell him exactly what you are!
Eve: And what if I deny everything? What if I just tell T.C. that you're lying, that Aunt Irma's not even all there?
Liz: It doesn't matter! You can tell him anything you want. It is not going to matter to him once he hears that the man that he hates most in this world -- Julian Crane -- was once your lover, and probably still is.
Eve: That's not true.
Liz: Oh, please. How many times is T.C. Going to walk in on you and find you in Julian's arms? How many times are you going to give him these lame excuses like, "oh, I got something in my eye" or "I was just thanking Julian for donating the wing to the hospital"? How many stupid excuses can you give him, and how often can he fall for them, Eve? Forget it! There is nothing you can do or say that will convince T.C. that I am lying and that Aunt Irma is crazy. There is nothing!
Eve: Oh, yes, there is.
Sam: Who would like some ice cream?
Gwen: I don't know.
Sam: I'm going to get us a hot fudge sundae with extra whipped cream and those sprinkles, honey, the ones you used to like in the summer when we were younger, when we first fell in love.
Ivy: I can't believe you remembered.
Sam: Of course I remember.
Ivy: Oh, those were our favorite sundaes. Sam would always bring one when we used to sneak out and meet in the park.
Sam: To watch fireworks.
Ivy: Mm-hmm, and sit under the stars.
Sam: And kiss.
Ethan: Ok, ok.
Ethan: Lovebirds, lovebirds. I'll go get your sundae, ok?
Sam: Ethan, why don't you and I go, and we'll let the ladies sit here and agonize over how many calories we're bringing back.
Gwen: No, no ice cream for me, please, thank you.
Ethan: Come on, come on, you know you'll want one when you see mine.
Gwen: One bite? Will you let me have one bite?
Ethan: Yeah, right, one bite. Ok.
Sam: We'll be right back.
Ethan: Bye. [Sam and Ethan head off to buy ice cream.]
Gwen: Ivy, that is so wonderful to see you so happy!
Ivy: Aw. Well, we're both with the men we have loved all of our lives, Gwen. I mean, you've loved Ethan since you were a teenager. Have you ever loved anyone else?
Ethan: No, never.
Ivy: Well, here you are, married to the man of your dreams, starting a family. Could you be any happier?
Gwen: Well, actually --
Ivy: Ethan loves you, Gwen.
Gwen: I know he does, but I just -- I worry that he still loves Theresa.
Ivy: He married you, honey.
Gwen: He married me because I was pregnant, Ivy. I know that, and that eats away at me every day.
Ivy: You shouldn't let it, Gwen. Ethan could've left you after you lost the baby, but he didn't. He chose to stay with you.
Gwen: Ethan's a good man. He's a decent, he's a loving man. He would never stoop so low as to just abandon me after we lost Sara.
Ivy: So you think he still might have feelings for Theresa?
Gwen: I think so, and I just hope to god I'm wrong.
Chad: So are you going to tell me why you don't want me to find out what's going on between Fox and Theresa?
Whitney: Well, baby, you know, you're the one who always told me not to interfere and that we shouldn't get involved in their relationship, right?
Chad: Yeah, that was when you were trying to push them together, which I knew was asking for trouble. But they hooked up on their own, fell in love, and now I think they just need a little help getting back together.
Fox: Sorry about that, guys. I just had to get final approval from my family to buy this place.
Chad: Well, that's great, Fox.
Chad: I'll get that for you. [Chad hops up and pulls Theresa's seat out.]
Theresa: Thank you. Thanks.
Chad: Can you do me another favor, man?
Chad: Look, I need to talk to Theresa for a few minutes alone. You mind asking Whitney to dance?
Fox: No. No, not at all. Whitney, you want to dance?
Whitney: Um --
Liz: Just what do you think you can do to stop me from getting T.C. in here and making him listen to Aunt Irma?
Eve: I can go in there first. I can tell him what Aunt Irma is going to say and prepare him for all the horrible stories she's going to tell him.
Liz: And then what? Deny it?
Eve: No. I'll just tell him everything. I'll just tell him all about my past, what happened before I even knew him, and I'll tell him why.
Julian: Oh, you can't tell him, Eve. I have to do something. [Still watching from outside.]
Liz: And what do you think he will say? "It's all right, sweetie, honey, I forgive you"? "I forgive you for deceiving me all these years"? Is that what you think he's going to say?
Eve: I think he'll understand. I think that he will understand because he loves me.
Liz: Oh, god. dream on, Eve. Never in a million years will he be that understanding.
Eve: We'll see, won't we?
Liz: It doesn't matter who he hears it from, Eve. Your life is still over.
Ivy: Gwen, I can understand why you're worried after everything that's happened with Theresa, and, well, I'm sorry. I feel like I'm party to blame for it all.
Gwen: Ivy, how could you possibly blame yourself?
Ivy: If you remember, I'm the one who gave Theresa a job as my personal assistant. I mean, she's Pilar's daughter. I love Pilar. I wanted to give Theresa a chance. I never thought she'd use her position to go after Ethan.
Gwen: Well, how could you possibly know? I mean, I trusted her, too. She pretended to be my friend. I even let her design my wedding gown.
Ivy: Oh, yes, I remember. She said she was going into fashion as a career, that little liar.
Gwen: Right. It was only later I realized she was the one planning on marrying Ethan as soon as she could steal Ethan away from me.
Ivy: Anyway, I'm apologizing for my part in bringing her to the Crane mansion in the first place.
Gwen: Listen, Ivy, she would have found a way to get near Ethan no matter what you did. She was literally stalking him.
Ivy: Well, I don't think you have anything to worry about that. You know, I think that's over. And Ethan -- he's committed to you, he's committed to your marriage. Anyway, I think she's moved on. She's after my other son now.
Gwen: Do you really think Fox is fooled by her?
Ivy: I hope not. I hope he can see her for the gold digger that she is, but you know Theresa. She will settle for any Crane she can bamboozle into falling for her. But I really think she's through with Ethan.
Sam: I'm glad to see you and Gwen so happy.
Ethan: We are. We have a good life. You know, we have a child on the way. I know we talked about having a big family, but it looks as though this child is the only one we're going to be able to have.
Sam: The child that Theresa is carrying.
Sam: That's got to make things a little uncomfortable for you and Gwen, right?
Ethan: It's caused some rough spots now and then, yeah.
Sam: I can imagine. I mean, Theresa drugged the surrogate you were going to use, so she could have Gwen's eggs implanted in herself.
Ethan: She didn't feel like she had a choice. We adopted her son and she was desperate to get him back. I guess she thought if she had Gwen's and my baby, she could convince us to give her little Ethan back. And you know what, if I had my own way, dad, I'd convince Gwen to do the same thing.
Sam: I hope so. You know, Theresa -- she's a great mother. She never should've had her son taken away from her in the first place.
Ethan: No, no, she shouldn't have. And she's taking good, good care of herself, too. I'm grateful for that.
Sam: Still, it's got to make things uncomfortable, you know, having Theresa so involved.
Ethan: All right, yeah, it does to a degree. I mean, Gwen -- she's still convinced that I am not over Theresa.
Sam: Are you?
Ethan: Dad, I've made some mistakes, you know, I've made some bad, bad mistakes, but I'm determined to make it up to her, and I'm grateful that she's giving me a second chance.
Sam: You love her, then?
Ethan: Of course I love her. I love her very much. I want to give her all the happiness that she deserves, and I'm not going to let anything else get in between us again.
Sam: So you're completely committed to Gwen?
Ethan: Yes, completely. I just hope I can convince her that she does not have to worry about Theresa.
Sam: Maybe you're just going to have to convince yourself.
Sam: I'm just asking if you're sure that Gwen doesn't have to worry about Theresa anymore.
Whitney: Chad, you know, I'm sure Fox would rather just sit here. He hasn't even gotten a chance to order his meal yet.
Chad: Whitney, come on, he said he doesn't mind dancing with you, do you, Fox?
Fox: Not at all. In fact, it's my pleasure. This way.
Theresa: So, is there some reason that you wanted to get rid of Fox and Whitney or --
Chad: Yeah, I wanted to talk to you alone.
Theresa: Ok. About what?
Chad: Well, you and Fox. What's going on? Haven't you talked to him about your relationship yet?
Theresa: No. No, not yet.
Chad: Well, why the heck not? On the way up here, you were so anxious to talk to him, work things out. What happened?
[Theresa flashes back to Fox's revelation about Whitney.]
Fox: You know how much I love Whitney and you know how much I want to be with her, and yet you let her be with somebody else! I should be with Whitney!
Chad: Well? What happened to keep you from talking to Fox about getting back together?
Theresa: It -- you know, well, I kind of just -- I -- well, I don't know.
Chad: Oh, my god. It's so obvious.
Theresa: What's obvious, Chad?
Chad: I know exactly why you haven't talked to Fox.
Irma: Ok, where'd the slut go?
Liz: She'll be back any minute, Aunt Irma.
Irma: Well, where's that bozo husband of hers? I thought you wanted me to spill the beans about what kind of tramp she was.
Liz: I do, but there's a slight change in plans. See, I think that Eve is going to give him a little taste of what you were going to tell him.
Irma: Well, in that case, let's get to the Mohican Sun. I tell you, I'm feeling lucky.
Liz: Well, you see, here's the deal -- see, I need you to fill in the details. I need you to flesh out the story with everything you remember about Eve. See, what he's hearing in there is a PG-13 version of Eve's story. I need him to hear the truth. I need him to hear every sordid, X-rated detail about Eve's filthy past.
Irma: Well, I'm the one to do it, so let's get to it.
Liz: You just be patient a little while longer. I promise you're going to get a kick out of Eve's face when you tell the story, and I wouldn't want you to miss the fireworks that are going to come out of that kitchen any minute.
Irma: You promise?
Liz: Absolutely. T.C. has an incredibly bad temper, and all hell's going to break loose in there in just one minute.
T.C.: I thought we'd have a little late-night snack while we wait for the wine to chill.
Eve: T.C., I have something to tell you.
T.C.: Honey, that sounds very ominous. What is it?
Eve: It's something important, something that I feel that you should know.
T.C.: All right, sweetheart. I'm listening. What is it you want to tell me?
NEXT ON PASSIONS:
Sam: If you think that your feelings for Theresa are something more, then you owe it to yourself to be honest about them.
Gwen: Did you try and break up Sam and Grace to get him back?
Chad: Who is this girl that's coming between you and Theresa?
Theresa: How does it make you feel to know that you're the girl Fox has been in love with all these months?
