Tabitha: Ooh, there's sheridan's cottage. Ooh. Oh. Oh, I'm woozy. Oh, that must be my pregnancy. Sometimes if the energy's just draining out of me. Oh, I have to just grin and bear, I suppose. Oh, I'm glad nobody knows I've got a bun in the oven. I'd have a devil of a job trying to explain that one. Anyway, I can't that now. No. I've got a job to do. Tonight I am spreading pain and misery all over harmony. Oh, my magic potpourri is going to bowl ms. Sheridan over. Oh, these delicious little bombs I'm going to be dropping all over harmony will cause all kinds of suffering. Oh, you are a clever girl, tabby. Look at all these pretty things -- so diverse, so useful -- all my too, too wicked potions. Oh, yes, there's enough here to cause some serious pain and heartache. Hmm. That reminds me. I wonder how liz is getting on. I wonder if that candle I gave her is doing its job.
Liz: Oh, my god --
voice: You can get revenge on eve. Steal T.C. And her family away from her.
Liz: What the --
voice: The answer you're seeking is in the backyard, in the shed.
Liz: I had no idea this would be in the shed. T.C. -- Oh, my god.
T.C.: You see, sweetheart? I knew that whitney would listen to reason. I mean, she is too smart to throw everything away by going to L.A. With chad.
Eve: But she only said that she would stay in harmony for six months, then if she wants to go and be with chad, we told her we'd give her our blessing.
T.C.: Baby, she's going to forget about him the minute he's gone.
Eve: No. She really loves him, T.C.
T.C.: She only thinks she does. Her heart is with us, always was and always will be. Ok, whit, come on. Let's go. We're going home.
Chad: Whitney, no. You can't leave.
T.C.: Boy, you better shut the hell up.
Chad: Listen to me.
T.C.: Whitney has made her decision. She's going home with her mother and her father, and there's not a damn thing you can do about it.
Hank: Where are you headed? You're off to see sheridan?
Luis: No. Beth. I got to talk to her about something.
Hank: Well, I'm glad I ran into you. I was going to come see you anyway.
Luis: About what?
Hank: Well, you know, I got into the police academy.
Luis: That's right. Yeah. How's that going?
Hank: It's tough. But I'm sticking with it. It's something I always wanted to do.
Luis: Well, man, you're going to make a great cop, just like your brother and your dad.
Hank: Yeah, I hope so. Anyway, they let me log on to the police computers, so I've been checking out all the arsonists in the harmony area, trying to get a clue of who set this fire to sheridan's cottage.
Luis: Yeah. Well, the police academy computer's tied with t F.B.I., So, I mean, you should be able to come up with every name within 500 miles.
Hank: Oh, I found names, all right, but none of them matched the profile. I came up empty, luis.
Luis: Well, the fire at sheridan's cottage was definitely arson.
Hank: Well, I agree. It's just we don't have a clue who did it.
Luis: Yeah. Someone's tryingo o kill sheridan. But who can it be?
Mrs. Wallace: You are a wicked girl, beth. How could you even think of killing a sweet girl like sheridan?
Beth: If you'd like me to put you out of your misery, mother, just say the word.
Mrs. Wallace: At least think of her unborn baby. She's pregnant!
Beth: Yep. Sheridan's preggers, a r right.
Mrs. Wallace: Oh, you are a horrible, horrible girl.
Beth: Sheridan took luis away from me. She stole my man, and I'm horrible?
Beth: Yes, charlie.
Charlie: I just want to let you know I'm still trying to come up with the perfect way for us to get out of harmony after we kill sheridan.
Beth: Well, what have you got?
Charlie: Well, nothing concrete yet, but I'm getting close to something -- a foolproof way to conceal our identities.
Beth: Ok, well, just keep working on it, because we need a way to escape.
Charlie: Anything for you, beth. You're my special friend.
Mrs. Wallace: Her only friend. All right, all right. You want this wacko to help you out with your diabolical plan?
Fine, because it looks like charlie would like nothing more than to share her jail cell with you for the rest of your unnatural lives.
Beth: We will get away with this, mother. Mark my word.
Mrs. Wallace: Maybe. But I wouldn't count on charlie letting you get away with luis. No, the way I look at it, she's going to want you all to herself
to be her special friend
beth: Well, if that happens, I'll just deal with it. Right now I just want sheridan dead.
Tabitha: I wonder what kind of hell my potpourri will unleash on sheridan? Oh, I think it's time to find out.
Sheridan: Who could that be?
Sheridan: Tabitha. What's she doing here?
Tabitha: Oh, you're home, dear. I thought I'd missed you.
Sheridan: Well, why? What did you want to see me about?
Tabitha: I wanted to give you a present -- something that will absolutely blow your mind.
Singer: I would hold the hand of the one who could lead me places and kiss the lips of the one who could sing so sweet and i would fly on the wings of the bird I knew could take me highest breathe in, breathe out you keep me alive you are the fire burning inside of me you are my passion for life regular liners are out this year.
Liz: I had no idea. Dear god. I had no idea.
Chad: You can give me all the bad looks you want to, coach. It doesn't make u u right.
T.C.: You know what, boy? I'll give you more than looks.
Whitney: Daddy --
eve: Stop it. Honey, come on. Come. Why do you insist on doing the wrong thing, the absolute opposite of what it is that you should be doing?
T.C.: Sweetheart, I am trying to get our daughter home. How is that wrong?
Eve: You can't be so controlling, or so angry.
T.C.: Whitney has already made her choice, and he won't leave her alone.
Eve: If you would just listen to me, we will get our daughter back. Whitney just said that she would stay here for six months, just like I asked, didn't she?
Eve: And she could just as easily change her mind if you continue to play with her emotions. So just -- just do what I say and then calm down.
T.C.: All right, sweetheart. I -- I will calm down.
Eve: And if she wants to talk to chad some more, let her.
T.C.: But, honey, he's the one that's putting pressure on her.
Eve: Honey, she's made her decision. It's going to be ok. Trust me.
T.C.: All right, baby. If you say so.
Eve: Sweetheart, honey, if you need to talk to chad some more, you just go right ahead. We understand, don't we, honey?
T.C.: Your mother's right. You go ahead and take all the time you need. We'll be here for you. We're your parents.
Whitney: I don't know. I mean, I'm not sure if we have anything more to say to one another.
Chad: How can you say that? If we love each other, we need to talk about this.
Chad: I can't believe after hearing this song you still don't want to go to L.A. With me. Listen to the words again. Isn't your heart telling you that we should be together? We should be together, whitney. Don't look at them. Look at me, please. Look at me. We should be together, whitney. Just listen to your heart. Listen to your heart.
T.C.: I am going to put a stop to this right now.
Eve: No. No, honey. Not yet.
Hank: Sorry my search didn't turn up anything.
Luis: Hey, man, that's all right. I know you did your best, all right?
Hank: I know protecting sheridan is priority one. Something tells me there's more going on with you, luis.
Luis: Well, it's just -- it's just the same old situation of tonio and sheridan.
Hank: I mean, you and sheridan have to tell antonio about the two of you.
Luis: Well, we try. You know, it's just every time, something happens, y k know, like at the hospital, when we find out that sheridan's pregnant.
Luis: That's right. You didn't know that sheridan's pregnant.
Hank: That's wonderful. Isn't it?
Luis: Yeah, it's great.
Hank: I know I shouldn't ask this, but --
luis: Is the baby mine? Well, sheridan and I would like to believe that it is.
Hank: But it could be antonio'S.
Luis: Well, it's probably mine. But it could be antonio'S.
Hank: How do you feel about that?
Luis: Well, it doesn't matter. You know, of course I would like it to be mine. You see, the important thing is, you know, we find out the truth and then sheridan and I could be together, but it's just like, you know, something is keeping uspart. It's like -- it's like someone's pulling strings, playing us like puppets.
Mrs. Wallace: Well, I always said you'd never get a man. Looks like I was only half right.
Beth: You're disgusting, mother.
Mrs. Wallace: I'm not judging you. After all, I always knew you were different, just not that kind of different. Besides, now that you have charlie here as your special friend, you don't need luis, so you can stop this diabolical plan here to kill sheridan.
Beth: I am going to kill sheridan, and I'm going to have luis.
Mrs. Wallace: I am telling you that charlie will never let you be with luis, because once she helps you kill sheridan, she might as well murder luis to keep him away from you!
Beth: Do you seriously think I would let that happen?
Mrs. Wallace: How are you going to stop it?
Beth: I'll just -- I'll just humor charlie till my plan to kill sheridan is executed. Then once sheridan's gone, I'll figure out a way to get rid of charlie.
Mrs. Wallace: And I'm going to figure out a way to stop you. Ooh, I know. I can tell luis what you are up to. That'll certainly throw a monkey wrench in your plan, now, won't it, tootsie?
Sheridan: Tabitha, how did you get here?
Tabitha: The old-fashioned way, dear. I hoofed it.
Sheridan: No. I mean, how did you get past the guards?
Tabitha: What? Those dear men? Oh, we had a lovely little chat. They told me all about the terrible fire you had here and how you nearly died. Oh, that's dreadful. But I hearouou have some good news, too.
Sheridan: Good news?
Tabitha: Yes. You're going to have a baby. Congratulations.
Sheridan: How did you know I'm pregnant? I mean, the guards don't even know.
Tabitha: Oh! Oh! Oh! Damn it! It's gone. Oh. And now with all that splashing, we'll never see the image of the baby's mother.
Kay: Tabitha, I think you're wrong. I can see the image pretty clearly now. You might want to come take a look at this.
Tabitha: What? Oh, no. Oh, no, it can't be.
Ugh. Oh, no, it can't be. Really, sheridan, I can't remember how I found out. But this is a very small town, you know. Word travels fast.
Sheridan: Well, I still don't understand how you got to the cottage. I mean, luis left a list with the guards, and only people on the list were to be admitted.
Tabitha: Oh, yes, but everyone in harmony knows me. I'm just a harmless little old lady.
Sheridan: But how did you even know that I would be up?
Tabitha: I didn't even know you'd be in. I just took a chance. May I come in?
Sheridan: Oh, yes, of course. We have to be quiet, though. I have a full house. Theresa, little ethan, and antonio are all asleep.
Tabitha: Oh, I'll be quiet as a mouse. Oh, what an adorable place. Well, I think my potpourri will make this sweet little cottage even more homey.
Sheridan: I thought you said it would blow me away.
Tabitha: Well, I'm hoping that the aroma will blow you away. It's very aromatic.
Sheridan: My god! That wind!
Tabitha's voice: It's starting, sheridan. Riding on the wings of that wind is a little slice of hell.
Luis: It's just that every time we try and tell antonio the truth, something happens. You know, he goes blind or he goes into a coma.
Hank: But you're glad he's all right.
Luis: Yeah, of course. I don't mean to sound cold, and nobody's happier that my brother has survived his illness and is going to be all right. It's just that -- and I'm just so damn frustrated with the situation.
Hank: I know.
Luis: Now sheridan's pregnant. I feel terrible for her. The pressure is really taking its toll.
Hank: Well, we'll find the guy that's trying to kill her. That's going to take some of the pressure off her and you.
Luis: I kept trying to think of suspects who might be trying to kill sheridan, and two names kept popping into my head -- alistair and julian.
Hank: You always thought they were behind that boat explosion.
Luis: Her own brother and father. It just makes me sick.
Hank: But would they be that obvious? I mean, the cranes are pretty slick. And to set fire to sheridan's cottage? I don't know.
Luis: Well, if not them, then who? Who else would have the motive to kill sheridan?
Beth: You're not going to tell luis, mother, and you are not going to stop me from killing sheridan.
Mrs. Wallace: No?
Beth: No, because if you do, I'll go to jail.
Mrs. Wallace: For a long, long time.
Beth: Yeah, exactly. And you will be all alone. No one to take care of you. You'll become a ward of the state, and you know what that means, mother. You'll be placed in a state-run home.
Mrs. Wallace: No.
Beth: Oh, yes. But at least you won't have to worry about anyone clipping your toenails in a state facility, because the rats will take care of that during the night.
Mrs. Wallace: Agh! Oh, angels, save me!
Beth: Yeah, is that what you want, or would you prefer that I do what I promised before?
Mrs. Wallace: Oh, you've promised a lot of things, and they're all hideous!
Beth: Name you as an accomplice. That way you just-- you go to the state penitentiary with me.
Mrs. Wallace: No.
Beth: Mm-hmm, ye..
charlie: Bethie! Found it.
Charlie: I just figured out a way for us to escape after we kill sheridan, a way to conceal our identities.
Beth: I knew you could do it, charlie.
Charlie: Just look at this.
Mrs. Wallace: Oh. God help you, sheridan. Now I don't know h a anyone could save you. Dear --
sheridan: What is going on? I thought I closed the door.
Tabitha: That's better. It was getting a bit drafty.
Sheridan: A bit? Where did that come from? It wasn't windy a minute ago.
Tabitha: Oh, well, you know what they say, dear. If you live in new england, if you don't like the weather, wait a few minutes and it'll change.
Sheridan: I suppose. Thank you so much for this potpourri. It really was very thoughtful of you.
Tabitha: Oh, I just wanted to give you something special, dear. I mean, it's not every day a woman finds out that she's pregnant.
Sheridan: To find out that I have a child growing inside of me -- I mean, this is -- it's wonderful.
Tabitha: Hmm. Yes, I can only imagine what you're feeling.
Doctor: I'm back.
Tabitha: So I see. What's the verdict?
Doctor: Congratulations. You're pregnant!
Tabitha: Uh --
sheridan: It's a dream come true.
Tabitha's voice: More like a bloody nightmare.
Sheridan: I mean, I'm actually going to be a mother.
Tabitha: And antonio is going to be a father.
Sheridan: Actually, it's not that simple.
Tabitha: Oh, oh, dear, I'm so sorry, sheridan. I just assumed because you and antonio were married that he -- he -- well, I'm terribly sorry.
Sheridan: Please don't worry about it.
Tabitha: Oh, I completely forgot that luis is in the mix.
Sheridan: Sometimes, something as joyful as a pregnancy has another side. It isn't always a perfect situation.
Julian: These tongue-pleasing martimmys have mellowed me out, or perhaps it's the penetrating heat of the fire. But I'm starting to see you in a whole new light.
Tabitha: Well, well, it's serendipity. I see you in a whole new light as well. Huh. Yes, there can be big surprises in a pregnancy, yes. I know about that for sure.
Sheridan: Tabitha -- are you pregnant, too?
Eve: That song -- it's so special. I wonder if we can be making a mistake pulling them apart.
T.C.: Eve, what are you talking about? When did a song ever change your life?
Eve: Now I know it's true there's not one second or two I could live without you I guess I justeeeel badly for whitney.
T.C.: Come on, baby, don't get emotional on me now, ok? We almost have our little girl home. Now, we have to stay the course -- the one that you charted, all right?
Eve: Yeah, yeah, you're right, you're right.
Chad: Whitney, what happened? I thought you wanted to come to L.A. With me. Don't you still love me?
Whitney: Of course I do. Yes. Baby, when I'm with you, touching you, kissing you, and looking into your eyes, all I want to do is be with you.
Chad: You can be.
Whitney: And that song -- I know that you wrote it for me. I'm so touched by it. Look at my parents. We've always been so close to one another. They've sacrificed so much for me.
Chad: I'll sacrifice for you, whitney. I'll do whatever it takes to make sure you're happy.
Whitney: Look at my father. Even though the thought of my giving up tennis must be tearing hiapapart inside, he's being pretty reasonable about it.
Whitney: He's letting me make my own decision, chad.
Chad: He has to. You're of age. Your mother said that.
Whitney: Yeah, and she also said that I should finish out my semester. And that makes sense.
Chad: You can go to college in L.A., Whitney.
Whitney: Listen to me. My parents have given me everything. I love them so much. I think I owe this to them.
Chad: What about me? I love you. What do you owe me? For a limited time, there's agreat ofr r at lenscrafters
Tabitha: Me? Pregnant? Oh, well, you can't be serious, dear.
Sheridan: I am so sorry. It just sounded like you understood my situation.
Tabitha: I am, after all, a woman, you know. And I understand that pregnancy can lead to all sorts of emotional and physical changes. Ah -- oh, stone of bleeding crows, what have I done now? And as I understand it, for some women, the physical changes can be quite extraordinary.
Tabitha: Yes. You have no idea.
Sheridan: Where are my manners? Would you like some tea? I made some just before you came.
Tabitha: Oh, yes. I'd love a cup of tea, dear. Thank you.
Sheridan: How do you take it?
Tabitha: Milk and sugar, please.
Sheridan: Well, you know, I suppose every pregnancy is a surprise. I mean, even if it's planned, until it actually happens.
Tabitha: Oh, yes. Oh. Well, some are a total surprise.
Sheridan: What did you -- where did that butterfly come from?
Voice: The shed. Remember the shed.
Liz: How could I ever forget the shed?
T.C.: Eve, I don't like this. Let's get whitney and let's just go home now.
Eve: No, honey. Not yet. Just wait. Whitney will do the right thing.
Whitney: Look, don't make this any more difficult than it already is.
Chad: Hey, I'm not giving you an ultimatum. I don't want us to have a relationship where we do those kind of things to each other.
Whitney: Neither do I.
Chad: I just want to be with you. I want us to start our life together in L.A., A wonderful life.
Whitney: I'm sorry. I have to stay here.
Chad: Ok, whitney. If that's what you want. But I have to go.
Whitney: Right. I mean, of course you do. This job that you've been offered is a dream come true for you.
Chad: Not without you it isn'T.
Whitney: It's not like we're breaking up. Hey, I love you, all right? There's no way this is goodbye for us.
Chad: I know. But we're going to be 3,000 miles apart. And that kind of separation is hard on a couple.
Whitney: It's just for six months.
Chad: I don't want to lose you. I love you.
Whitney: I love you, too.
Eve: Honey, I'm sorry to interrupt, but it's getting a little late.
Whitney: I'm coming, mom.
Chad: Wait. This has the song I wrote for you on it. When you listen to it, think of me and how much I love you.
T.C.: It's over. You stay the hell away from my daughter.
Eve: I know. I know.
Singer: You are my passion for life
luis: Well -- ahem -- it's getting late. I want to get over to beth'S. She doesn't know I'm coming, and I just want to get there before her and her mom are in bed.
Hank: Can't it wait till morning?
Luis: No, no, it can'T. I want to talk to beth about antonio and sheridan.
Hank: Are you sure beth is the right person to talk to about this? I mean, it's because of sheridan that you and beth aren't married.
Luis: Well, beth knows how I feel about sheridan, and she's been totally supportive.
Hank: She's an amazing woman, then.
Luis: Yeah. She is. And she's a great friend. No, I just figured that beth knows the situation so well that, you know, maybe she can figure out a way for me to tell antonio the truth.
Hank: Well, I hope you're right, buddy.
Luis: Well, if she can't, then no one can. I trust beth completely.
Beth: This looks great, charlie.
Charlie: Want to take a look at this? I love computers.
Beth: Let's do it.
Mrs. Wallace: I don't suppose you guys want to tell me what's going on.
Beth: Well, you don't suppose right, mother. Come on. Let's go.
Mrs. Wallace: What are you doing?
Beth: Oh, god. Mother, we'll be back soon, ok?
Mrs. Wallace: No!
Beth: Get out of my way, mother.
Mrs. Wallace: Uh-uh, uh-uh. No, I won't let you leave.
Charlie: This is what my mother used to do, bethie. She was always getting in my way, always stopping me from doing what I knew had to be done.
Mrs. Wallace: I won't let you kill sheridan!
Charlie: Oh. She was always on my sister's side, because she was a blonde.
Mrs. Wallace: Ay --
charlie: A cute, bubbly blonde. I hated both of them. In fact, why don't you let me take care of your mother permanently, bethie?
Mrs. Wallace: No.
Charlie: Were you ever a blonde?
Mrs. Wallace: Among other things.
Charlie: I'll kill your mother first, and then we'll kill sheridan, the blonde bitch.
Beth: Ok, wait. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Let's just focus on sheridan, charlie, for now.
Mrs. Wallace: Oh, sheridan, you poor girl. You poor, poor girl.
Sheridan: Tabitha, are you all right? What?
Tabitha: Oh. I have to go.
Sheridan: What? So soon?
Tabitha: Oh, yes. I've overstayed my welcome, dear. It's late. You have to get your rest.
Sheridan: All right, well -- good night and --
tabitha: Good night, good night, dear.
Sheridan: Thank you again for the potpourri.
Sheridan: It really does smell wonderful. I have to find a bowl for it.
Tabitha: Oh, sheridan, that potpourri is going to shake your world up good and proper. You may not even make it through the night.
[Tabitha hiccups] Ng ]
[Door opens and closes]
T.C.: I'm so glad we're home. Whitney, you made the right decision.
Liz: Hi. Whitney, are you all right?
Whitney: I'd rather not talk about it right now, liz. Thanks.
Liz: Ok. Well, whenever you do, you know that I'll be happy to listen.
Eve: Liz, why are you down here instead of in your garage apartment?
Liz: The cable went out, and there was a documentary I wanted to see, so I hope you don't mind.
T.C.: Liz, our home is your home.
Liz: Oh, thank you, T.C. Whitney, are you sure there's nothing I can do to help you?
Eve: Liz, she said that she doesn't want to talk about it.
T.C.: Whit, you got the right attitude. The sooner you put this behind you, the better. Now, we've got a lot of work to do. Tomorrow, we're going to work on setting up a practice schedule, get you back on track. And then in the morning, we're going to concentra on your power game.
Whitney: Tennis practices, daddy? Power games? Oh, daddy!
T.C.: Whit -
eve: No, no, no. Just leave her alone, T.C. Honey, she needs some time. You can't start talking about practices and tennis as if nothing's happened.
T.C.: I'm sorry. I didn't mean to get her upset. I'm --
Whitney: Oh, chad.
[Knock on door]
Mrs. Wallace: Come in! Luis!
Luis: Hi. Look, I'm sorry. I know that it's late, but --
mrs. Wallace: No, no. You have got to stop them!
Mrs. Wallace: You have got to stop beth!
Sheridan: This potpourri really does smell wondfuful. There it is again. What is going on? What's happening?
Eve: We just can't pressure whitney right now, honey. She's emotionally fragile.
T.C.: Whatever you say, my love. Everything turned out just the way you said it would.
Eve: So far.
T.C.: No, sweetheart, you handled it just right. You got me to calm down when I needed to. Oh, I'm such a lucky guy. I mean, what would I do without you?
Hmm, I love you so much.
Eve: Oh, I love you, too.
T.C.: Oh. Well, baby, I'm going to go to bed. I have a lot scheduled tomorrow. The track team cranking up, the baseball team, and spring football. Good night.
Eve: I'll be right up, honey. Did you see that, liz?
Eve: How much T.C. Loves me. And did you see when we brought whitney in with us?
Eve: So, despite your saying that my family's in trouble, we're strong and we're together.
Liz: For now.
Eve: Nothing is going to come between my family, not you, not julian, not my past. So just let it go, liz.
Liz: You may be wrong, eve. You just might be very wrong.
Voice: The answer you are seeking is in the shed.
Luis: Stop beth? What are you talking about?
Mrs. Wallace: There is no time to waste!
Luis: Well, I don't understand. Stop beth from doing what?
Mrs. Wallace: They are going to kill sheridan!
Mrs. Wallace: Beth is going to kill sheridan!
Sheridan: Who are you? What are you doing here? What do you want?
Tabitha: When she smells my magic potpourri, her life will go up in smoke as well.
Miguel: You're not breaking up with me again, are you?
Hank: What are you doing?
Charlie: Blondie has to die.
Sheridan: Stop! Let me go! No!
