Passions Transcript Tuesday 12/3/02
Jessica: Oh, God, I can't believe it. You and miguel are really getting married?
Charity: Yeah, christmas eve.
Jessica: Oh! Oh, charity, I am so happy for you.
Reese: Me, too. You guys have been through so much. I'm so glad you're finally engaged!
John: This is so cool. I -- I hope you'll both be very happy.
Sam: Yes. You and miguel are going to have a wonderful marriage. I can tell.
Connie: You're joking, right?
Tabitha: Would I joke about something likehis?
Cecil: So you're saying if miguel and charity get married --
tabitha: Get married and make love, then she will come into her full powers of goodness, and that will be the end of us. We'll all be destroyed!
Kay: What are you doing, mother?
Grace: I am keeping you from ruining charity's special day. Now, I am going to go in there and congratulate charity and miguel on their engagement, and so are you.
Kay: I will not.
Grace: Yes, you will, kay. You were raised better than this.
Kay: Miguel will not marry charity. I swear it.
Jessica: Kay, stop it.
Kay: Jessica, just shut up, all right? I will not let miguel marry charity if it is the last thing I do.
Tabitha: That may be just what has to happen.
Sam: Kay, you're the only one who hasn't spoken to charity and miguel to wish them well. Now, I know this isn't the best news that you can get, but try to put on a good face.
Kay: Dad, I can't -- I can't do it.
Sam: Do it for your mother. Now, she's worked so hard to make this a wonderful thanksgiving for everyone.
Sam: Hey, if you can't do it for her, do it for me.
Kay: Hey, good luck.
Charity: Thank you, thank you! I'm so excited to marry miguel. I cannot wait. And, kay, your being my maid of honors s going to make it the most perfect wedding day ever.
Antonio: What are you talking about, father lonigan? Sheridan and luis, getting married?
Sheridan: I'm sure you meant to say antonio and I are getting married, didn't you, father?
Pilar: Mijo? Antonio, look, father lonigan has gotten older. His mind is not as quick as it was.
Antonio: I don't think father lonigan's changed at all since I've been gone. I mean, he's always been sharp, no matter what the topic of conversation.
Luis: Well, this is it. I told you that antonio was going to find out the truth about us. Now we're not going to be the ones to tell him. At least this nightmare of us having to pretend is finally over.
Beth: Father lonigan, it's beth.
Father lonigan: Beth, what's going on?
Beth: Ok, it's a long story, but please just play along with it, ok? Say that you made a mistake, that you meant to say sheridan and antonio are going to get married.
Father lonigan: But why? Sheridan is engaged to luis.
Beth: I'll explain everything later. But please just do this for us, ok? You've heard that antonio is very ill. This could be a matter of life and death.
Father lonigan: You want me to lie, beth?
Beth: But it's just a little white lie, father, and it's a lie of the most compassionate kind. Please, father, will youoo this?
Antonio: So, father lonigan, what were you talking about, you had all the paperwork for sheridan and luis to get married? Whatever gave you that idea?
Singer: I would hold the hand of the one who could lead me places and kiss the lips of the one who could sing so sweet and i would fly on the wings of the bird I knew could take me highest breathe in, breathe out you keep me alive you are the fire burning inside of me you are my passion for life
Antonio: Father lonigan, why would you think that sheridan is going to marry luis?
Father lonigan: I -- it was a slip of the tongue, antonio. I meant to say sheridan and you, not sheridan and luis. You and luis were so close in age and so much alike as children, you even sounded alike. I used to get you confused when you were boys. In fact, I think you fooled me more than once at confession.
Antoni well, you know what, I guess that's understandable.
Ethan: Well, father, you're going to have a busy wedding season. Gwen and I are going to get married, too, as soon as possible.
Ivy: Isn't it wonderful, father?
Rebecca: Yes, my gwennie will be a bride at last.
Ivy: And my son will finally be marrying the girl of his dreams.
Father lonigan: Ethan, it will be my pleasure to marry you to gwen.
Rebecca: Well, so sorry to disrupt your little turkey fiesta, theresa, but I really don't see what it is you have to be thankful for.
Ivy: Neither do I. As soon as gwen and ethan say "I do," your days of celebrating will be long gone.
Theresa: Ethan and gwen aren't married yet. And if I have anything to say about it, they never will be.
Julian: Give me this! My God, that --
Ivy: Oh, thirsty, julian?
Julian: That horrible chiquita banana reporter did this to me. She sabotaged my food. My mouth is on fire.
Ivy: Oh, well, that maria celeste? I just heard she was the host of the hottest latin talk show on the continent. You seemed to be falling all over yourself to get close to her earlier.
Julian: Well, she lied. But why should I be surprised? I don't know of a won n who doesn't lie.
Ivy: Surely you can't be referring to me, darling. I never lied about my loathing for you.
Julian: Yes, well, that's true. But until I knew that the senora was a conniving wench, I was quite attracted to her.
Ivy: You never change, julian. You're always looking for a new conquest, someplace to put that thing you so carelessly sling about.
Julian: Well, at least I can still enjoy myself from the waist down, dear -- not that you ever did, even before you were paralyzed.
Ivy: Well, now, that says something about your performance as a husband, doesn't it?
Charity: There is so much to decide before the wedding, I don't know where to begin. I mean, what colors to use -- I was thinking, actually, like a red velvet?
Grace: Oh, yeah.
Charity: Maybe like a cranberry color for the bridesmaids? Which reminds me -- you know, jessica, of course, I would really like you in the wedding as one of the bridesmaids.
Jessica: Oh, my God. Oh, charity, yes. Thank you so much!
Charity: Oh, good. Um, excuse me. Sam, I was hoping you would give me away.
Sam: It'd be my pleasE.
Charity: Thank you. You know you're the most wonderful uncle ever. Oh. And I'm going to need help with the dress. I obviously don't have very much money to spend.
Grace: Sweetie, don't worry. I would love to help. I can't wait to get started.
Charity: Thank you. And my maid of honor hasn't said anything. Are you all right?
Kay: Charity, um, look, I need --
grace: Uh, you know what, I smell something burning in the kitchen. Kay, will you help me?
Kay: Mom, I really --
charity: I'll help you.
Grace: No, sweetheart, don't be silly. Kay's going to help. You stay here and, you know, make plans for the wedding. Kay?
Kay: What are you doing, mother? I don't smell anything burning in here!
Grace: Hmm, neither do I.
Kay: Well, then why did you drag me in here?
Grace: Kay, you were about to spoil charity's big day.
Kay: Oh, here we go again. You know, you care about everyone else so much more than you care about me.
Grace: That's just not true.
Kay: Yes, it is. You care about john, charity, jessica -- everybody -- more than you've ever cared about me.
Grace: I do not.
Kay: Yes, you do! Charity is about to marry miguel, the man that I love with all my heart, and you expect me to be happy for my stupid cousin?
Grace: Kay, you are just not understanding any of this.
Kay: Yes, I'm understanding it perfectly, mother dearest. You are a lying, lousy excuse for a mom!
David: Kay! That's enough. Apologize to your mother.
Kay: Who the hell do you think you are, david?
Grace: Kay, stop it!
Kay: No! He is not my father and I don't have to listen to anything he says!
Grace: No, I will not let you be rude to any adult. Now, you will apologize to both of us.
Kay: I will not apologize to the father of your bastard son.
David: John is not a bastard.
Grace: He certainly is not. David and I were married when john was born, and as far as the church is concerned, we are still legally married. But you know what, kay? I don't have time to get into this right now with you because it is thanksgiving and we have a house full of guests out there that I am supposed to be entertaining, so do me a favor and straighten up! And stop causing me so much grief.
Kay: David, get out of my way, ok?
David: No. We are going to have a little talk.
Kay: About what?
David: About the way you treat your mother.
Kay: Oh. You mean your wife?
David: Yes, my wife.
Kay: I'm -- I'm sorry. Excuse me for laughing, david, but who do you really think you're kidding?
David: What are you talking about?
Kay: Oh, you know exactly what I'm talking about. but away from the city there is beauty pea
david: Look here, I'm going to ask you again -- just knock off the insinuations and tell me what you are talking about. You don't have to remind me about my past.
Ivy: Won't everyone be surprised when they find out that you're not married to grace and that john isn't grace's son and that you liea about the whole thing!
David: Well, are you going to tell me what you're talking about or not?
Kay: Excuse me. I hear the doorbell. It must be more guests arriving. I guess we're just going to have to finish our little talk later. And don't worry, we will.
David: She knows, ivy. She could ruin everything.
Grace: Come on in.
Whitney: Hi. How are you?
Grace: Good. Happy thanksgiving. Come in.
Liz: Happy thanksgiving.
Grace: T.C. You guys look great.
Eve: Well, I brought you my famous candied yams.
Grace: Mmm, wonderful.
Liz: Oh, eve. Well, looky here -- who'd have thought? We brought the same dish.
Grace: Isn't that amazing? Well, that's all right. You can never have too many candied yams. They're everybody's favorite.
Liz: Thank you so much, grace, for including me in the holiday.
Grace: Oh, sweetie, of course. I mean, nobody should be alone on thanksgiving.
Liz: Well, I've been alone most of my life.
T.C.: Well, you know what, you're bter off here than with that horrible sister of yours.
Liz: I think you're right, T.C.
T.C.: You know, grace, I could smell that turkey halfway down the street. Man, it smells great. Where is it?
Grace: Well, it's here.
Sam: Happy thanksgiving, everyone.
Sam: Simone, how are you? Welcome, everyone.
Liz: Thank you very much.
Sam: Hey, T.C., You want to get some wine?
T.C.: Ahem. Happy thanksgiving, everybody.
Miguel: Hey, coach.
Reese: Happy thanksgiving, coach.
Jessica: Happy thanksgiving, coach.
Sam: Smells good, huh?
T.C.: Sure does.
Sam: Hey. What's wrong?
T.C.: I don't want to talk about it. It'll just bring everybody down.
Sam: Come on, you know you can talk to me.
T.C.: Whitney had her match this morning. She was beaten by a player who she has beaten easily in the past.
Sam: I know. Jessica told me. Look, I know you're disappointed.
T.C.: Sammy, I don't understand it. Whitney is in good shape, but she completely lost it out there this morning. Her serve was off, her backhand was weak, and she just let this girl walk all over her.
Whitney: Daddy, I'm really sorry that I disappointed you today.
Eve: Well, you can't win them all, honey.
T.C.: Well, she should've won this one! Now, you were beaten by a lesser player. It's going to mess everything up in the rankings. Now it's an uphill battle, whitney.
Eve: T.C., Please. You're embarrassing her.
T.C.: Eve, you don't understand. Tennis is not in your blood the way it is in mine and whitney'S. Now, if you got any sleep last night, you wouldn't have lost.
Liz: T.C., You know what? I bet that the night before the next match, whitney will be in bed early. You know, that's the kind of mistake that you only make once.
Eve: Come on, honey. Let's -- let's say hi to the others.
T.C.: I wonder if there is a boy involved. Maybe that's why she was out so late.
Liz: T.C., I doubt that. You know what, I think that maybe you should stop worrying. Come on, it was just one match. Why don't I pour you a glass of wine?
Kay: Well, simone, looks like our little plan worked like a charm.
Simone: Yeah, it sure did. Now there's no way whitney and chad are going to go public about being a couple. Oh, my daddy is not happy with her.
Whitney: Hey, guys.
Kay: Hi, whitney. I'm so sorry you blew your match today.
Whitney: Yeah, well, me, too. I mean, I didn't get in that late last night. I don't know why I was so tired.
Kay: Time to add that extra little something. All right. This will totally knock whitney out, and then tomorrow she is going to be so groggy, she won't even be able to lift a racket.
Whitney: I mean, if I didn't know better, I'd think I was drugged or something.
Pilar: Hey. I'm sorry, luis. I know that you were hopg father lonigan would tell antonio the truth.
Luis: Yeah, I wish he had. Why'd he lie?
Pilar: Because he must have known that telling your brother the truth would kill him, and he's a man of God. He couldn't do that.
Luis: Still, I wish he had.
Pilar: Luis, you don't mean that.
Luis: All right, I'm sorry, ok? I don't want antonio to die, but I don't know how much longer I can take this.
Pilar: We'll just have to find a way to delay the marriage, that's all. Ok?
Luis: Yeah, we will.
Beth: So when antonio rescued sheridan from the ocean, she had amnesia. She didn't remember that she was in love with luis and she ended up falling in love with antonio. But now that she's regained her memory, she doesn't know how to tell antonio about luis.
Father lonigan: I heard that antonio was very ill, but I had no idea it was so serious.
Beth: Yeah, th y said that any kind of shock or upset could kill him.
Father lonigan: I see. Thank you for telling me, beth. Now, please, will you take me to sheridan?
Beth: Of course.
Beth: Here she is, father.
Father lonigan: Thank you. Sheridan, I need to have a word with you and luis.
Antonio: Luis? Why, father? Anything you have to say in front of them you can say in front of me. I mean, it's not like I don't know that I'm dying, so you don't have to worry about that.
Father lonigan: I know, antonio, and I am deeply saddened by your illness. But I have some practical issues to discuss with them. Sheridan, will you please take me to luis?
Pilar: Antonio, wait. Let me fix you a plate, huh? You need to eat.
Antonio: Mama, what the heck would father lonigan need to discuss with sheridan and luis?
Pilar: I don't know, mijo. Come on. Let me get you some thanksgiving dinner, huh?
Father lonigan: I wanted to speak to you alone because beth explained to me why you wanted me to lie to anninio.
Sheridan: Thank you, father. It would've been a terrible shock for antonio to hear the truth about us now.
Father lonigan: Sheridan, I know you feel an obligation to antonio.
Sheridan: I owe him my life.
Father lonigan: I know. That's why I wanted to speak to you and luis privately. I know antonio is very ill and I didn't want to say this in front of him, but there is no way I can marry the two of you.
Sheridan: What? Why not?
Father lonigan: Because you are in love with luis. That's why. Akes strength to knock thedaylights out of signs of aging.
Kay: Well, better luck next time, huh, whit?
Whitney: Thanks, kay. I just sure wish I was able to pull this one off, you know, cacause this match was really important to me -- in more ways than one. Gosh, I really blew it this time, you know?
Simone: Well, I guess you'll just have to practice more -- you know, get out on the courts even earlier -- you know, really be focused, not be distracted by personal stuff.
Kay: Excuse me. Oh, hey. Simone, look who's here. It's chad.
Chad: Hello, kay.
Chad: Hi, ms. Bennett.
Sam: Hey, chad.
Chad: I brought some dessert.
Grace: Oh, that's great.
Sam: Thanks, chad.
Grace: Thank you.
Chad: Thanks for inviting me.
Grace: Of course.
Sam: You're welcome.
Chad: Hey, simone, whitney.
Simone: Hey! I'm so glad that you're here, chad.
Connie: So how can we keep charity and miguel from getting married?
Tabitha: Oh, I'm not sure. Everything I've tried so far has failed. Kay is my only hope, but I don't know if she'll be able to wreck their engagement.
Cecil: But if she doesn't, we're toast, right?
Tabitha: Toast, yes. I'm afraid so.
Connie: Well, if tomorrow we die, tonight we party down. Come on, cecil. Let's boogie.
Tabitha: Come back here, you wretched little troublemakers!
Luis: Father, that's what I've been telling sheridan all along. She can't marry antonio when she's in love with me.
Father lonigan: Don't you agree, sheridan?
Sheridan: Yes. I do love luis. But I love antonio, too. As I told you, he saved my life. He nursed me back to health. He even risked his own life to pay off my debts. Now, how can I abandon him when he's so sick?
Father lonigan: I understand your feelings, sheridan. You are a compassionate woman. I can imagine you feel guilty, even responsible for his illness.
Luis: No, no. She's not responsible.
Sheridan: Yes, luis, I am -- partially. Antonio would've never bee in that car race where he had his accident if it weren't for me.
Father lonigan: You shouldn't marry a man out of sympathy or obligation. It would be cheating antonio because it would not be a true covenant.
Luis: That's exactly what I've been telling her all along. Sheridan, you can't marry antonio when you're in love with me.
Sheridan: Of course I love you, luis. But I do love antonio, too.
Father lonigan: Well, I can see you are in an impossible position, sheridan. But you cannot expect me to marry you when you say you love two different men. I could not do it in good conscience.
Sheridan: Please, father. If I don't agree to marry antonio, then I'm going to have to tell him why, and that shock would most likely kill him.
Father lonigan: There is only one way I can marry you and antonio, sheridan.
Sheridan: Please, father. Tell me how.
Father lonigan: You must choose. You have to choose the one man you love. If you can do that, then I will marry you to the man you choose.
Luis: Sheridan, come on. I know you love me more than you do antonio.
Sheridan: Antonio, I have to tell you the truth. I love you, but I love luis more.
Sheridan: Antonio! Antonio! No. Antonio!
Father lonigan: Sheridan, can you give me an answer?
Sheridan: Yes, I love antonio! I love him more!
Theresa: Poor luis. so, it was called cattle point. Of the nation, and subsequentlyne of th here. Your cruise director, ron but away from the city there is beauty peax
singer: You are my passion for life
father lonigan: Are you sure, sheridan? You truly love antonio more than you love luis?
Luis: No, it's not true.
Sheridan: I'm sorry, luis.
Luis: Sheridan, I don't believe you.
Sheridan: Yes, father, antonio is the man that I love. He's the man that I want to marry.
Father lonigan: Very well. If you are sure, then I must lieve you. I will marry you and antonio any time you want.
Sheridan: Thank you, father.
Theresa: Father lonigan, it's theresa. I want to talk to you about something.
Father lonigan: Of course, theresa.
Antonio: Mama, what's going on? Where's sheridan?
Pilar: I'm sure she'll be back soon, mijo.
Sheridan: Luis, m m so sorry.
Luis: Don't apologize. It's better that I know now than spend a lifetime wondering.
Sheridan: But I had to say it. I had to tell father lonigan why I loved antonio more.
Luis: No, you didn'T. You didn't have to lie to a priest or to God. No one was holding a gun to your head. You made your choice, all right, free and clear. So now you got to live with it. Good luck.
Sheridan: Luis, no! Please, don't --
simone: Where's chad? I have his drink.
Kay: Where do you think? Come on.
Whitney: I just feel so terrible about today. And my father is just completely disappointed in me.
Chad: Hey, hey, you did your best.
Whitney: No, I didn'T. I didn't play anywhere near my best today.
Simone: I hate the way my sister monopolizes chad. But, kay, I feel bad that I caused her to lose that match. I mean, my daddy was really upset.
Kay: Simone, you'll get over feeling badly when whitney's little plan backfires, ok? The only thing she's going to be able to prove to your dad is that having love in her life equals love on the court, too.
Chad: You can't let just one match get you so down on yourself.
Whitney: But I should have won that match. I just felt so exhausted. It was like my feet were in quicksand or something. I couldn't make any of my shots.
Chad: It's my fault for keeping you up so late.
Whitney: No, I don't blame you. I could have gone home earlier. I just -- I just didn't want to.
Chad: And I didn't want you to. Look, there will be other matches. And one of these days we can be together without having to hide from your father or simone.
Whitney: I hope so.
Simone: Look at her. It makes me so mad when I see her falling all over him like that.
T.C.: Simone, where's your sister?
Kay: I -- she's right out there with chad.
T.C.: With chad?
T.C.: What the hell is she doing outside? She'll catch a cold.
Kay: Hold on to your seat, simone. It's going to be a bumpy ride.
T.C.: Whitney, what the hell are you doing? snow claire just really feels like winter is here.
Claire: Yes.O ng around us. We don't see skies clear as we go into
T.C.: Whitney, what are you u doing outside in the dark with your sister's boyfriend?
Whitney: Daddy, I can explain what this must --
T.C.: Well, you better explain. What are you trying to do, get sick?
Liz: No, T.C., I sent whitney out to the car to get my purse. I left it there.
Whitney: Yeah, and chad saw that I was cold, so he offered up his jacket. Thank you.
Chad: That's all it was, coach.
T.C.: Yeah, well, get what you came out here for and get back in the house.
Liz: No, that's ok, honey, I'll do it myself. Thank you. I'll just go get it.
Grace: Hey, why is the party out here? I mean, it's so cold.
Eve: Yeah, it is cold.
Grace: Well, come on in. You know, dinner's ready. Come on.
Sam: Ok, everyone, grace has made these wonderful place cards, so find your name and your seat.
Reese: Got mine.
Sam: Before we sit down, I think it'd be nice if everyone told us why they're giving thanks this year. And I'd like to start. I am thankful for my family and for their good health. And I'm especially thankful for my beautiful wife.
Grace: Well, I am thankful for a lot of things. But mostly, I am thankful that charity is alive --
Grace: And well, and back here in the house where she belongs.
Miguel: I'm thankful for that, too, mrs. Bennett. And I am so thankful for the love that charity and i share.
Charity: Me, too. And I am just thankful to be part of this family.
T.C.: I am thankful for my wonderful family -- eve especially.
Eve: I am thankful for my husband and for my beautiful daughters and for all of our friends.
Liz: I am thankful for being included in this lovely evening. And I'm also thankful for my newfound friends.
John: I am so thankful that I found my mother. She means everything to me.
David: And I am thankful for my son's newfound happiness.
Simone: I'm so grateful that I have chad in my life.
Whitney: Well, I'm thankful for all of my wonderful family. And my friends.
Chad: And I'm thankful for finding a home here in harmony and for special friends.
Kay: I suppose I'm thankful for my ever-expanding family.
Jessica: Well, um -- I'm -- I'm really thankful for my family and for my friends.
Sam: Tabitha? Would you like to say something?
Tabitha: Me? I'm -- I'm thankful for all the time I spent with my precious little nephew, timmy. I still miss him so much, but I'm sure wherever he is, he's -- he's bringing joy to all around him.
Sam: Thank you, tabitha. All right, everyone, find yr r seat and start eating.
Reese: All ght.
Charity: Thank you.
Connie: Come on, cecil, let's make this a meal those turkeys will never forget.
Cecil: All right!
Connie: Chili powder -- hee-hee!
Grace: Sam, if you get the turkey, I'll get the vegetables.
Sam: Man, does it smell good in here. Grace, you outdid yourself again.
Grace: Oh, I just hope everything tastes as good as it smells.
Sam: Oh, it'll be fantastic.
Grace: You know, I just want everything to be really great today. I mean, after everything that everybody's been through, I just want it to be perfect, you know?
Sam: Hey, it will be. You're a wonderful cook and a wonderful mother, and the best wife a man could ever hope for.
Grace: You know, we should get the stuff in before it gets cold.
Sam: Yeah, ok.
Grace: Ok. Will you get this, too?
Grace: Ok, here. Here goes.
Connie: Hee-hee-hee! This is going to be good.
Cecil: Wait till they get a load of our cooking!
Connie: Mm-hmm. I hope they've got a lot of room in the E.R. Tonight because they're going to be pumping a lot of stomachs.
Beth: Luis, are you ok?
Luis: Not really.
Beth: Well, what happened?
Luis: Sheridan told father lonigan that she loves antonio more than me. So, hey, she made her choice, you know? Time for me to move on.
Beth: I'm so sorry. I know this must really hurt, but I'm here if you need me, ok?
Luis: Yeah, I know you are. Thank you.
Theresa: Father, I couldn't help overhearing the advice that you gave luis and sheridan.
Father lonigan: It was difficult to put sheridan in that position, but she knew she needed to make a choice.
Theresa: Yes. Well, I am in a similar position with ethan and gwen. Gwen is expecting a baby.
Father lonigan: She is? Well, I certainly don't condone premarital sex, but I'm happy that they're going to be married and will raise their child together.
Theresa: But, see, father, you shouldn't be happy -- not at all. Ethan doesn't love gwen. He loves me. The only reason that he's asking her to marry him is because she's pregnant.
Father lonigan: Theresa, is this true? You know this for a fact?
Theresa: Yes, I do, father. Ethan was all set to propose to me when gwen told him that she was pregnant. And now ethan thinks that he's doing the right thing, but it's all wrong. He was going to marry me last year. Do you remember?
Father lonigan: Of course, but things have changed since then.
Theresa: Well, he may tell you that he loves gwen, but how can you marry ethan and gwen when he is in love with two women? You made sheridan choose.
Father lonigan: Theresa, why do you put me in these impossible positions?
Theresa: I am sorry, father, but it is not my fault that gwen got pregnant and that ethan doesn't really love her. I'm right, aren't I? You cannot marry ethan and gwen when ethan really loves me, can you?
eve: Oh, grace, everything looks so great.
T.C.: Mmm, looks good.
Grace: Well, I hope it tastes as good as it looks.
Sam: Well, of course it does. You cooked it, didn't you?
Grace: I certainly did, all last night and all today, too.
Liz: Well, it certainly looks like a lot of work.
Grace: Oh, no, it's not work when you love it. You know, thanksgiving's my favorite time of year.
Liz: Me, too. Thank you, that's plenty.
Sam: You sure? Well, I think that's it.
Grace: What's wrong?
Sam: Um -- honey, I think it's -- it's just a little too much salt.
Tabitha: Yeah. The old bird is a bit spicy.
Grace: Oh, no. Oh, no -- everybody, please, don't -- don't feel like you have to eat this.
Sam: Honey, listen, it's not that bad. If you just kind of scrape off the spices, I think it'll be --
connie: Happy thanksgiving --
Antonio: Sheridan, I'm sorry about the misunderstanding.
Sheridan: You couldn't see that luis was talking to beth and not me.
Antonio: Still, for me to jump to crazy conclusions like that -- I -- well, knknow that you and luis love me. Both of you have been wonderful. And for me to think that father lonigan was going to marry you and luis -- I'm sorry.
Sheridan: Antonio, it's all ghght.
Antonio: Look, I promise you -- I promise it will never happen again. I'll never make the same mistake.
Beth: Luis, wait.
Father lonigan: Ethan, I need to speak to you and gwen.
Ethan: Sure. We're right here, father.
Gwen: What is it, father?
Father lonigan: After talking with theresa, I've come to the conclusion that I cannot marry the two of you.
