Passions Transcript Wednesday 11/27/02
eve: Now, you've been threatening me ever since the day that you got to harmony. You were going to tell T.C. All about my past, you were going to tell my daughters.
Liz: It's not a threat, eve. It's a given.
Eve: Why? You were my sweet, beautiful little baby sister. That's how I remember you. What happened?
Liz: What happened? The hell you put me through -- that's what happened. And you know what, big sister? Now it's your turn. Kiss your life good-bye.
Eve: When, liz? When are you going to tell T.C.? Tonight?
Chad: I can't wait till we can be together like this all the time without having to sneak around.
Whitney: Soon, chad. That day will happen very soon. Oh, my God. It's so late already. I got to get home before my parents, chad. If my dad finds out I was out this late the night before a big tournament, he will kill me. And that will ruin everything for us, all of our plans.
T.C.: For whitney to be out this late the night before a major tournament -- it's not like her. I mean, she needs her rest. She needs at least eight hours of sleep minimum. It's so important.
Simone: Daddy, don't worry. I mean, I'm sure she'll be home soon.
T.C.: Sugar bear, she's going to blow everything -- the tournament, her career, everything.
Kay: Simone, don't go feeling guilty on me now. This is working out just how we want it to. Don't mess it up, ok? Chad is going to be yours very soon.
Simone: You keep saying that, but I'm not sure how your plan is going to work.
Kay: It's what I told you -- we're doing this in steps. You have to be patient, ok? The first step is whitney getting home so late.
Simone: And then?
Kay: And then I will help you put the rest of the plan into action. Not only will chad be yours, whitney'lilife will be destroyed.
Simone: I don't want to destroy whitney's life. I just want her to stay away from my boyfriend.
Kay: Simone, grow up, ok? Do you actually think for a second that whitney cares about you? She would destroy you in a heartbeat if she thought it meant her being with chad. That's the man that you love, simone, the man that you saw first. All's fair in love and war, and whitney's turned this into a war.
Sheridan: All right, just a few more steps and we'll be to the bedroom door.
Pilar: It shouldn't be too uncomfortable, luis.
Antonio: Luis? I just wanted to say thanks for staying the night tonight. I really appreciate it. You know, it means a lot knowing you're here just in case anything happens to me.
Pilar: Do you want me to get another blanket?
Antonio: Do you believe how lucky I am, sheridan? I have a brother who cares so much about me, the woman I love.
Sheridan: Uh, let's get you to the bedroom.
Pilar: Mijo, I know this can't possibly be easy for you. Please don't be upset with sheridan.
Luis: How can I not be? Antonio gave her an out. All right, she had a chance to walk away from that relationship with no hard feelings. She didn't take it. So how am I supposed to feel? Sheridan's in there with my brother, all right? I mean, how much more of this am I supposed to take? How much more?
Julian: Yes, "shaken not stirred." Truer words were never said.
Julian: Oh -- nectar. My declaration of independence. Thank you so muc t theresa. One wife down, two to go.
Ivy: Well, someone's happy.
Julian: You have no idea, dear.
Ivy: Actually, I think I do. I think we're celebrating the same thing -- the end of theresa.
Julian: Well, there's a phrase that rolls trippingly off the tongue -- the end of theresa. I can celebrate those words all year long.
Gwen: I love you so much.
Ethan: I love you, too.
Theresa: I can't believe this is happening. No. Please.
Gwen: I just can't wait until we're married.
Rebecca: You're getting exactly what you deserve, theresa.
Whitney: If my dad finds out that I was out this late the night before a big tournament, he will completely freak out.
Chad: It's going to be all right, whitney. There's no way your father will ever know.
Whitney: He will if he gets home and sees that I'm not in my room. I can't let anything ruin our plan to be together, ok? The more tournaments I win, the better chance I have to prove to my dad that I can still have a career in tennis and have a boyfriend, too, ok?
Chad: I still don't know about this plan, whitney. I still think it's better if we tell your parents and simone the truth about us.
Whitney: No, no, no, we can'T. Simone will be devastated.
Chad: But she still thinks I'm her boyfriend.
Whitney: That'shyhy while I'm winning tournaments, you have to just convince simone that you two aren't right for each other, ok? Slowly ease your way into that. That way simone won't be hurt at all. That's the plan, right?
Chad: I know, but --
whitney: I got to get home. Daddy is really right about me getting some rest, and ifif my plan is going to work, then I need to be for tomorrow. Ok? Come here. Don't worry. In no time, the whole world will know that we're together and a couple, ok? Ok.
Ivy: I heard she signed
ivy: I heard she signed the divorce papers.
Julian: Oh, yes. She dotted the is and crossed the ts.
Ivy: And gave up her claim to you and the crane name?
Julian: And money. Isn't it wonderful, ivy? Now, my chcherie amour, if only you would follow suit, I could live a life of bliss.
Ivy: Oh, julian, that day will never come. Theresa was a fool. I am not.
Julian: Oh, well -- ahem. At least I'm rid of my little hot tamale. God, what a sizzling senorita she is. I do wish that I could remember taking her to bed. I could fantasize about it for years.
Ivy: Will you never change?
Julian: Not about the important things. But why don't you join me in celebration? I'll pour you a martini. Getting rid of theresa is reason for a party.
Ivy: I'll drink to that.
Julian: I am so happy that I could even tolerate spending the evening with you.
Ivy: Well, given the fact that we are celebrating theresa's demise, I can honestly say that this is the happiest I have ever been in your bedroom.
Julian: That caustic bitchiness still turns me on, you know? In fact, I'm beginning to find this wheelchair sexy.
Julian: God --
ivy: Oh, julian. Don't get carried away. I'll never be that happy or stupid again.
Julian: Well, you can't blame a fellow for trying.
[Rebecca hums "bridal march"]
Gwen: I love you so much.
Ethan: I love you, too.
Rebecca: What a wonderful couple. Congratulations, son.
Ethan: Thank you, rebecca.
Rebecca: Oh, and gwennie, I am so happy for you.
Gwen: I know you are, mother.
Ethan: Excuse me for a minute.
Ethan: Theresa --
Ethan: Theresa, you shouldn't torture yourself by staying here. Please, just go upstairs, try to get some rest.
Theresa: Do you think I'll actually be able to sleep tonight, ethan, after this? I will never sleep again. Not ever.
Pilar: I can't imagine how difficult this must be, but sheridan is suffering, too, you know.
Luis: Well, she seems to be handling it just fine.
Pilar: Don't be like that, luis. She's suffering. I know she is. Antonio is dying. He could die any time. She's just trying to do the right thing by staying --
luis: Yeah, I know what she's doing.
Pilar: She's a good, loving woman, not the kind of person who would turn her back on somebody she loved. That is one of the things you love about her -- her caring heart, her loyalty.
Luis: Yeah, well, it sure feels like she's turning her back on me right now.
Sheridan: That's not true, luis. Please don't think that.
Pilar: You know, you two should be alone. I'll say good night to antonio and I'll see you both in the morning.
Sheridan: I love you, luis. You have to know that.
Luis: Just don't do this, all right, sheridan? Not now.
Ethan: Theresa, I know you're upset.
Theresa: Upset, ethan? I'm dying inside, watching you put my ring on gwen's finger, asking her to marry you.
Ethan: Theresa --
theresa: No, tonight, you know, I thought that all my dreams, a lifetime of dreams were going to come true. You and I -- we were finally going to be together. You know, I was the happiest woman alive. I thought that we would get married, spend the rest of our lives together, have beautiful children. But now it's gone and all my dreams are ripped ay from me. You're going to marry gwen.
Gwen: Now you know what it feels like, theresa.
Ethan: Gwen --
gwen: Theresa, you stole ethan away from me, not once but twice. You lied, you schemed, you manipulated. Ok, and now you're getting what you deserve. This time fate, as you are so fond of saying, has intervened, and you're not going to get it. You're not going to get away with it because ethan is going to marry me.
Ethan: Gwen, please, stop.
Gwen: No, ethan, just give me a minute, ok? This is a long time in coming. Theresa, I didn't need to lie or scheme or use tricks. That's what you had to do.
Theresa: You didn't need tricks, gwen. You got pregnant. That's the oldest trick in the book.
Gwen: Just the way things worked out. Actually, theresa, in a way, I feel sorry for you because this is all your doing. You brought this all on yourself.
Rebecca: No one deserves to suffer more for the pain that you brought to my daughter.
Ethan: All right, please, stop. This is cruel.
Rebecca: Well, not as cruel no, I want to se the same way that gwen did. No, you brought this on yourself, theresa, and there is no one that deserves it more.
Eve: Answer me, liz. Are you going to tell T.C. Tonight?
Liz: Maybe. Haven't decided yet.
Eve: I mean, after everything that happened in that house, after what happened between sheridan and luis and antonio, all of that pain, and you still think that you could go through with your threats against me?
Liz: The difference is they didn't deserve the pain. You do.
Eve: Yes, but if you insist on telling everyone about my past, I won't be the only one in pain. So will my husband and my daughters.
Liz: I know. And I'm sorry that whitney, simone, and T.C. Will suffer. They haven't done anything wrong. They're just like me. They just had the unfortunate luck to be involved with you. But soon they're going to know the cause of their hurt is you. Their lying tramp of a mother did it to them, and they'll despise you just like I do. That's the part I like.
Eve: God, I can't believe what you have become. You were my sweet, dear, little sister. You were the kindest, most thoughtful little girl.
Liz: Yes, yes, eve, I was that -- once. This is what you made me, eve, so you have no one to blame but yourself.
Whitney: Oh, no.
Chad: What's wrong?
Whitney: My dad's car is already here. I was trying to beat him home. How am I going to get back in the house without him catching me?
Chad: Look, don't worry. I'll sneak you into your bedroom and no one will ever know.
T.C.: This is crazy, it's just crazy. Whitney has never done anything like this before, certainly not before a major tournament.
Kay: Coach russell, did you hear something?
Kay: I -- I heard something outside. Maybe whitney's home?
Simone: Did you really hear something?
Kay: No. But I saw whitney and she's with chad, so this is it. Your dad's going to blow sky-high. Whitney's toast.
T.C.: Damn it, I don't believe this.
T.C.: I am really disappointed in you. I can't believe that you would do something like this.
Whitney: I am so sorry, daddy. I completely lost track of time.
T.C.: Well, where were you?
Whitney: I thought I would go out and get some air --you know, take a walk, unwind. For some reason, I couldn't get any sleep.
Kay: "For some reason."
T.C.: What was keeping you awake?
Kay: Trying to steal chad away from simone, maybe?
Whitney: I was restless. But the walk helped me so much, and I'm so sorry that I lost trtrack of time.
T.C.: You need to get to bed, young lady.
Whitney: I know. I'm going up right now, and I promise you I will be completely well-rested for tomorrow. I promise.
T.C.: Well, you better be because we have a lot riding on this tournant, sweetheart.
Whitney: I know.
Kay: If whitney thinks she's going to play well tomorrow, she's in for a big surprise.
Sheridan: Luis, we need to talk.
Luis: Well, it's going to be a short conversation because I don't want to do this.
Sheridan: I love you. You have to know that. How can I prove it to you?
Luis: You had the perfect opportunity to prove it and you did nothing! Antonio gave you an out and you passed on it.
Sheridan: I didn't have a choice. Antonio is dying. He doesn't have much time left. I couldn't let him spend his last days alone. I could not walk away from him at a time like this.
Luis: You made your choice.
Sheridan: No, I didn'T. You know why? Because you are my choice. You have always been my choice. I love you. You are the only man in my heart.
Luis: Stop it.
Sheridan: Luis, I love you. Come on, you have to know that.
Luis: No, all I know is that I'm sleeping here on the couch while you're in the next room with my brother, sharing the same bed. How am I supposed to take that? I mean, how is any man supposed to take that?
Sheridan: Luis --
luis: No, imagine if the situation were reversed. Imagine if I were in there making love to another woman. How would that make you feel?
Rebecca: I can only wish you the same torment you inflicted on my daughter.
Ethan: Ok, no more. That's enough. This is a difficult situation. I want us to all try to get along.
Rebecca: Not bloody likely.
Ethan: This animosity is not doing us any good for anybody. We can't live like this.
Rebecca: You know, ethan, you're ght. What's done is done and all's well that ends well. I think gwen and I can be magnanimous. After all, we did win.
Gwen: Mother, it's not a question of winning. I mean, ethan is not some game prize. You know, that's just the way things worked out.
Rebecca: Thank God they did.
Julian: Theresa. What are you still doing here?
Julian: This says that you signed your right away to any claim on my name, my money, or my house.
Theresa: I know, julian.
Theresa: Well, I thought that I was marrying you, ethan, and I didn't want the crane name or money or anything crane. All I wanted was you.
Ethan: My God. Theresa, do you realize what this means? You've lost everything.
Julian: That's right. She has nothing, nada, whereas I at long last have been able to shed one of my wives, yet she's still here. I want you gone, theresa, out! You and your brood, begone from this house. I am sick to death of old women in clanking walkers with bladder deficiencies. I'm sick of the stench of refried beans wafting down the hallways and all the other horrors you've visited upon this mansion.
Ethan: For God's sakes, julian --
julian: I want my peace again, so you vamoose. You be out before sunup.
Rebecca: Oh, gee, theresa. When you think about it, you really have lost everything. So, it was called cattle point. Of the nation, and subsequentlyne of th here. Your cruise director, ron but away from the city there is beauty peam#
singer: You are my passion for life
liz: Oh, eve, look, all the lights are still on. I guess the whole family's still up. What a perfect time to gather everybody togetheroror a little reminiscing.
Eve: God, but you're wicked.
Liz: You're judging me? You? At least I have a conscience.
Eve: Well, I sure as hell haven't seen any of it.
Liz: Hey, all I'm going to do is tell the family things you should have told them from the start. I don't see anything wrong with that. Do you?
Eve: Well, you know exactly what's wrong with it. You that it's going to destroy me.
Liz: Well, honesty does have its perks. And seeing youo down in flames -- that's an added bonus.
Eve: How do you sleep at night?
Liz: I sleep just fine, thank you. It's you that's going to be tossing and turning, looking at the ceiling, staring at the clock, wondering when is it going to happen. When am I going to blow you out of the water? Well, any time. Day, night -- just any old time now. That's the beauty of it. You'll always be wondering when I'm going to drop the bomb. Sound like fun?
Eve: God, you're just so hateful.
Liz: You'll always be living in fear, living in uncertainty -- waiting. Always waiting. And the only thing that you'll know for certain is that when I do expose you, the consequences are going to be horrendous.
Gwen: Well, I am exhausted. I'm going to bed.
Ethan: You do need your rest.
Gwen: And I'm going to call my contact in new york first thing in the morning and tell her I won't be taking the job.
Gwen: Ethan, are you coming?
Theresa: Ethan, please, don't go. Stay with me. Talk to me. I need you.
Ethan: Theresa -- theresa, I --
gwen: Ethan, could you pleee help me move my luggage back to our room? I probably shouldn't be lifting anything in my condition.
Ethan: I have to go. We'll talk in the morning.
Theresa: Ethan --
pilar: Theresa. I just rannto that hateful rebecca, and she told me what happened.
Theresa: Yeah, I'm sure she told you with a smile on her face.
Pilar: Yeah, well, I'd love to wipe that smile off her face. I am so sorry, mija.
Theresa: Mama, I've lost him. You know, I've really lost him. He was going to marry me.
Pilar: I know. But gwen is carrying his child now and she's wearing his ring, and ethan is not going to walk away from her and his baby.
Theresa: But it was supposed to be me, mama.
Pilar: Theresa, you know what? Go upstairs to your room, take a hot bath, and just rest, mija.
Theresa: I can't sleep.
Pilar: Then pack because you need to get out of here in the morning. This is no longer your home.
Theresa: Yoyou know, mama, I never thought it was possible to feel pain like this.
Pilar: At least something good has come out of this. You're no longer a crane.
Theresa: Good? I've lost everything.
Pilar: Oh, baby. I will be upstairs as soon as I can, and I will stay with you all night, ok? I won't let my little girl be alone. Ok
theresa: Ok. Where are you going?
Pilar: I have to wake up the chef. Julian ordered some special meal prepared -- champagne and caviar.
Theresa: Oh, I know why. They're celebrating, mama. Everyone is celebrating my pain.
Luis: You're not answering me, sheridan. What if I was the one in the next room making love to another woman?
Sheridan: I'm not going to make love to antonio.
Luis: No? How are you going to avoid it?
Sheridan: I will.
Luis: Antonio loves you, right? He thinks that you're his fiancee and he only has a short time to live. How are you going to avoid making love to him?
Antonio: Sheridan? Where are you?
Sheridan: I'm right here, antonio.
Antonio: What are you doing?
Sheridan: I'm just checking to see if luis needs anything.
Antonio: Are you ok, luis? Have you got everything you want?
Luis: No. No, I don'T. Wb but away from the city there is beauty peam#m
whitney: Well, I guess I'd better get up to bed.
T.C.: And get right to sleep. Remember, your tennis career is more important than anything.
Whitney: I know. I know, and I'm going to win tomorrow, daddy. Don't even worry about it. I'm really motated.
T.C.: All right.
Eve: Good night, sweetheart.
Whitney: Good night, mommy.
Kay: Bye. See you, liz.
Liz: Oh, good luck tomorrow.
Whitney: Thank you. Kay.
Kay: Good luck.
Whitney: I love you.
Simone: See you in the morning.
Whitney: Ok. Good night.
Kay: What a phony. She spends half the night with your boyfriend, and then she comes back and plays her perfect big sister act? Simone, you got to something. If you don't, chad's going to be hers.
T.C.: Well, sweetheart, we should get to sleep, too. It's been a long day, and I am beat.
Eve: Yeah. We should go up.
T.C.: See you tomorrow, liz. Sleep well.
Liz: Thank you. I will. Sweet dreams, eve.
Eve: Good night, honey.
Whitney: Good night, kay.
Kay: Good night, dr. Russell.
Kay: Hey. Simone, are you ready for the next step?
Simone: What's that?
Kay: Now we make sure whitney can't play tennis tomorrow. We make sure she loses and loses big.
Luis: No. No, I don't have everything that I want.
Antonio: I think I know what you're talking about, luis. I know what you want. Beth. I mean, I know you must be missing her and wanting her to be with you. And, hey, I know what it's like not to be with the woman you love, the woman you're going to marry.
Luis: Yeah, it's hard. It's very hard.
Antonio: Yeah, I know what it'd be like if -- if I didn't have sheridan with me all the time. I mean, not be able to go to sleep with her in my arms and be able to hold her, kiss her, and to look at her face when I wake up in the morning. Listen, luis, I know the sacrifice you're making here, for me and for sheridan, and I just want to tell you that, well, it means a lot to both of us.
Ivivy: Oh, to see the color drain from theresa's face.
Rebecca: Oh, yes, it warmed the cockles of my heart.
Julian: Oh. The guest of honor is still here.
Ivy: Oh, please -- not the guest of honor, just the topic of conversation.
Rebecca: The object of ridicule.
Julian: We were just drinking a toast to you, dear, so come in. Join us. Lift a glass of bubbly and celebrate the end of our dreadful marriage and any claim you had on the crane name. I hold these truths to be true. Julian crane is free.
Ivy: And so are we. You can never threaten to throw us out of our own home again.
Rebecca: Yes, you're the one who's going to be in the gutter.
Ivy: Not us.
Rebecca: Seems you're going to have to eat your words, theresa. Every last one of them.
Julian: Every one!
Theresa: You're right, rebecca. I will have to eat my words.
Julian: Mm-hmm. What? Stop her!
Ivy: Oh! Oh!
Julian: Stop her!
Ivy: Oh, God, no!
Rebecca: Oh! Oh!
Kay: Ok. Time to add that extra little something. All right, this will totally knock whitney out, and then tomorrow she's going to be so groggy she won't even be able to lift a racket.
Simone: Kay, I -- I don't know about this.
Kay: Come on, simone, of course you do. We talked about this.
Simone: But to do something so rotten to my own sister.
Kay: Look, do you want chad or not?
Simone: Yes, but --
kay: Then come on.
Chad: I love you, whitney.
Whitney: I love you, too, chad.
Kay: Simone, what did I tell you? All right, if you don't do this, she's going to get chad.
Simone: Ok. We'll do it.
Whitney: Oh. Hey. Hey, honey.
Simone: Hey. I thought some warm milk would help you get better sleep.
Whitney: Oh. Well, thank you. Honey, that's really sweet of you. You know, I'm so lucky to have a sister like you. Thanks.
Simone: You liar.
Whitney: Always telling us to be good girls, but you're nothing but a drug-using whore!
Eve: No. Please, no.
Simone: Don't you ever come near us again!
Eve: Oh, T.C. -- Oh, T.C., Honey, I know I made a few mistakes. I did, but I made a new life for myself with you! I love you!
T.C.: You disgust me, eve! I don't want anything else to do with you. You understand me?
Eve: No, please --
T.C.: I want you out of this house and away from the children. I never want to see you ever again!
Antonio: Well, it's been a pretty long day and I'm pretty tired, so I think sheridan and i are going to head off to bed now. I know I'll start feeling a whole lot better once I get in there and get you in my arms. Good night, luis.
Luis: Good night.
Theresa: Mmm. Mmm, mmm, mmm.
Rebecca: Oh, she actually ate it!
Julian: My God, this can't be happening. Ivy: Oh, please, please, please, tell me you filed a copy with your attorney.
Julian: There was no time. It was -- it was so late. That was the only copy.
Theresa: And I just swallowed it, which means there's no proof that I ever signed away anything.
Rebecca and ivy: Ow!
Theresa: You're all such pigs.
Ivy: Oh, this is all your fault, cca!
Julian: She's right. You told her to eat her words.
Rebecca: Well --
ivy: You idiot!
Rebecca: Ah! Well, I didn't know the little slut would actually do it.
Julian: I was so close. So close.
Gwen: Ethan, you have made me so incredibly happy. We're going to have such a wonderful life together. I can't wait to be your wife. I love you so much.
Ethan: I love you, too.
Pilar: Theresa, you should be in your room. Don't torture yourself this way. No more tears over ethan. Ok? No more tears, mija.
Theresa: I have no more tears left, mama. Only revenge. And I mean to have it.
