Kelly: So, you obviously didn't learn how to act around guys. I mean, it's just pathetic the way you keep chasing after Chad.
Whitney: It's not that I'm chasing Chad. I just --
Kelly: Knock it off. Chad and I are together now. Leave him alone.
Ivy: Where do you think you're going?
Eve: Downstairs to tell Sam and Grace that they won't be needing that DNA test. That David is working for you, that John isn't Grace's son.
Ivy: And just how are you going to explain that one, Eve?
Eve: I'm just going to tell them.
Ivy: Oh. You're just going to say, "Ivy asked me to change the DNA test results, just like she had me change Ethanís birth records." Oh, yeah, that's going to go over really well. I can see your friends wondering why I would choose you of all people, what I could possibly be holding over your head. And that changing birth records thing -- don't you think that's going to have some repercussions, Eve? Like, I don't know, maybe losing your medical license, not to mention your husband and your daughters?
Eve: It doesn't matter.
Ivy: It doesn't matter? Eve, this is your life we are talking about -- your career, your marriage, your family.
Eve: I don't have to explain myself, anyway, Ivy, because once John takes the DNA test, the truth will be out. They'll have proof that you were behind all this. So, if I were you, Ivy, I'd hop the next bus out of town because there is no telling what Sam will do when he has proof that you've been messing with his life, hurting his wife. Well, you think you're in pain now? It's nothing compared to what's in store for you.
Jessica: Come on, let's dance. Is that ok?
Simone: Hey. Kay, I owe -- I owe you an apology.
Kay: An apology?
Simone: I've been wrong about you. I -- I kept thinking that maybe you were back to your old ways, trying to get Miguel away from Charity, and tonight proved that I was wrong. You're not. I mean, you were trying to be nice. You were trying to help Charity, and this is the way that she repays you?
Simone: I mean, you know, it's like she's a totally different person. I don't get it.
Kay: You're right, Simone. Charity really is a whole different person.
Theresa: She actually hit Kay?
Miguel: Right in the face. Knocked her down.
Theresa: That's just not like Charity. I mean, she's always so nice to everyone.
Miguel: Well, you haven't been around her lately. She's -- different. She snaps at everybody all the time.
Theresa: Not you, right?
Miguel: Oh, especially me. She's always trying to start fights, looking for arguments. In fact, she pretty much said that it's over between us.
Theresa: No. No, no, no. You guys are perfect for each other. You are so much in love.
Miguel: That's what I thought.
Theresa: What's happening to our family? We always seem to get our hearts broken. Mama lost Papa, Luis lost Sheridan, and I lost Ethan, you and Charity --I -- I don't understand.
Miguel: Neither do I.
Theresa: I've always believed that if you live a good life, good things will come your way. I don't know if I believe that anymore. It makes me wonder if love's even real or just this fantasy that we create.
Miguel: No, Theresa. Ok, you believe in love more than anyone I know. You always said that true love could survive anything, you know, that it could pull you through, no matter what.
Theresa: Well, if that were true, Miguel, I would still have Ethan, but I don't. You see? I've lost him forever.
Miguel: Don't say that, ok? There is always a chance. Things change.
Theresa: I don't know. You know, I'm not sure I believe in love anymore.
Eve: When I think of the lengths that you have gone to, to try and break up Sam and Grace's marriage, it just sickens me. You took advantage of Grace's amnesia to make her think that she had been married before and given birth to a son. And now she has bonded with this boy. Her heart is going to be broken. How dare you toy with her emotions that way?
Ivy: Eve -- if you remember, Grace was devastated when she lost that baby. Having John in her life has filled a void. Believing that that boy is her son makes her happy. What's wrong with that?
Eve: It's monstrous. That's what's wrong with it. For you to sit here and act like you were trying to do Grace a favor when your only intention was to break up her marriage and tear her family apart. You're evil, Ivy. You're just plain evil. The only thing that really amazes me is -- is how someone who is suffering the kind of excruciating pain that you are could come up with such an involved plot.
Ivy: Well, that's how strong my love for Sam is. I would do anything. I would fight to the death to get him back.
Eve: Forget it, Ivy. His love for Grace is too strong.
Ivy: Well, there's one thing you know about me, Eve -- I never give up.
Eve: But now you don't have a choice because Iím certainly not going to do what you want. And without me, you're going to be exposed for what you are.
Ivy: Don't be so sure, Eve, because your sleazy past with Julian -- that's not the only thing I have on you.
Eve: No? What else do you have?
Ivy: Murder. I'm going to tell Sam that I saw you with a gun the night that Julian disappeared. I'm going to tell Sam that you murdered Julian.
T.C.: So, how will it turn out, David -- the DNA test? Will it prove that John is yours and Grace's son, or will it show that you're a fraud, hired by Ivy to break up Sam and Grace?
David: You said yourself you're not expecting any answers from me. You don't think I'm on the up-and-up. So you wouldn't believe me anyway.
T.C.: You're right. I would never trust you.
David: Well, better wait for the test, then.
T.C.: It'll never happen.
T.C.: You getting Grace away from Sam. Their marriage is rock solid.
David: All I want is for Grace to be happy. I do love her.
T.C.: You know what, David? I do believe you. You do love Grace. How the hell could I not see this before?
David: Really? How can you tell?
T.C.: It's that look in your eyes. It's the same look I see every day when I look in the mirror. It's the love that I have for Eve. Eve means the world to me.
David: Well, you're a lucky man to have that kind of love.
T.C.: I would do anything for her. Eve is my life. No one can ever come between me and Eve.
David: You're talking like there's something that could.
T.C.: It's over, Julian. You are a dead man! No, there's nothing.
David: Well, it looks like we have something in common, T.C.
T.C.: Oh, yeah? What's that?
David: I don't expect any answers from you, either. And I don't trust you.
Ivy: I think Sam will be fascinated to hear that you had a gun the night of Julianís murder.
Eve: How did you know?
Ivy: You just told me.
Eve: You don't have any proof.
Ivy: Well, when I tell Sam about your past with Julian -- what is it the police say about opportunity and motive? Well, you had both, baby. You hit the daily double. Who killed Julian Crane? Take a bow, Dr. Russell.
Eve: That's a bluff, Ivy.
Ivy: It's no bluff, I assure you.
Eve: Well, then, you're a bigger fool than I thought you were because I saw you with a gun that night, too.
Ivy: That's a lie.
Eve: [Laughs] Prove it. You see, two can play that game, Ivy. And, you know, it is common knowledge that no one hated Julian more than you did.
Ivy: Well, now you're being ridiculous. I am in a wheelchair, for God's sake.
Eve: If that is your only alibi, you better get another one because once I drop that little nugget about the gun --
Ivy: I'll deny everything.
Eve: Now, who do you think people in this town are going to believe, Ivy -- me or you?
Charity: What's next?
Kay: Well, I guess I'll keep playing the innocent victim. That way Miguel is forced to see what a wonderful person I am.
Charity: And I just keep on being mean?
Kay: No. Actually, you're going to get a whole lot meaner.
Charity: The more evil I get, the happier I am. I love to cause misery and pain. [Laughs]
Kay: Just don't get too carried away, ok? We've got to take this one step at a time.
Charity: We'll just see about that, now, won't we?
Reese: Let's go dance, Kay.
Kay: Oh Ė
Whitney: Why don't you ask yourself something, Whitney? You know, is it really worth it being the good girl all the time, always doing what your parents want you to do?
Jessica: Talking to yourself, Whitney?
Whitney: Yeah. Having a real fantastic conversation.
Jessica: Looks like a sad one from the look on your face.
Whitney: Jessica, am I being stupid? You know, trying to keep my promise that I would stay away from Chad if Simone got better?
Jessica: You were just trying to help your sister. I mean, you know that if she knew about you and Chad having feelings for each other, which is -- God, it would hurt her.
Whitney: Simone's always had the hugest crush on Chad. You know, she even convinced herself that he was her boyfriend, you know?
Jessica: But he wasnít.
Whitney: Still, the last thing I want is for my sister to think that I would try to steal the man that she loves away from her.
Jessica: Yeah. I know what you mean. You want to do what you think is right, you know, and not take your sister's boy, but -- even if he doesn't know you exist. But Chad knows you exist. You know, he loves you.
Whitney: I'm not so sure about that.
Jessica: I know that you love him.
Whitney: You know what? It doesn't matter. It's ok. I made that promise, so I have no choice but to give up the only thing that I really want so -- so my sister will be ok.
Jessica: Whitney, I've never seen you this down.
Whitney: Well, I don't have that many things to be happy about right now.
Jessica: Oh, don't say that. You know, you're starting to worry me. Don't do something that you're going to regret.
Theresa: My coat -- left it inside.
Eve: There's not a soul in this town who would take your word over mine. So don't try and cast suspicion on me, Ivy, because when it comes to murder suspects, you are at the top of the list.
Eve: Eve Russell.
Simone: Hey, Mom, it's me! I just got your message.
Eve: Hi, Simone. Are you still at the youth center?
Simone: Yes. Whitney's here, too. Mom, we are having so much fun. It's so much fun. Um -- I was wondering, is there any way that I can stay a little bit longer?
Eve: Well, I don't know. Is Whitney staying?
Simone: Well, I mean, she's still here.
Eve: Ok, well, as long as Whitney stays. Just don't come home too late.
Simone: Ok, we won't. Thank you, Mommy.
Eve: And, remember, no drinking, no smoking, and if you so much as see someone with drugs --
Simone: I know, Mom. You don't ever have to worry about that.
Eve: I don't, sweetheart. I know I can trust both my girls. You never let me down. Ok, have a good time. Oh, where were we? Oh, yes. You'd just been declared Julianís killer. You lost -- again. Only this time you've outdone yourself, Ivy, because when Sam and Grace find out what you've done, you're finished. Sam's going to despise you forever. Everyone will see you for who you really are. And after all the hell that you have put me through, I can't wait for you to be destroyed. Sweet dreams.
Ivy: Damn you!
Jessica: Don't do something foolish, Whitney.
Whitney: Me Do something foolish? Of course not. I'm the good girl. Good girls always do the right thing, the proper thing. Good girls always do what their parents tell them to do. They know how to behave at all times. You know, every day when I leave the house, you want to know what my parents tell me? "Whitney, make me proud." When have I ever not made them proud? When have I ever let them down?
Whitney: I do everything that everybody else wants me to do. I get good grades, I'm -- I'm the best tennis player, a model sister, and friend. I can't have any faults -- no, no, no, no, no. See, that wouldn't be acceptable. I don't drink, I don't smoke, I don't take any drugs, and I can't even have a relationship with a guy that I truly care about -- even if it's the only thing I want in the world.
Kay: What's wrong?
Kay: You're not having fun, are you? Miguel, I'm sorry. I -- I really didn't think things were going to turn out this way. I thought that if Charity saw us together that she'd realize how much she loves you and wants to be with you.
Miguel: But it didn't work out that way. Charity didn't even seem to notice us.
Kay: But she did. I know she did, Miguel. She loves you. Why don't you -- why don't you try to find her, talk to her, try to work this out?
Miguel: You're something else -- you know that? Even after what Charity did to you, you're still trying to help me.
Kay: Well, that's all I want to do, Miguel -- help Charity and you.
Ethan: It's pretty chilly out here.
Theresa: Thank you.
Ethan: Yeah, well, I'm so used to looking out for you, I -- when I saw you leave without your coat, I automatically grabbed it. I didn't want you to catch a cold. You have to look out for yourself and the baby.
Ethan: I'd hate for you to get sick.
Theresa: Ethan, you do still care about me. You still love me.
Ethan: Of course I still care about you --
Theresa: Oh, God, my prayers have been answered. God has brought you back to me. There's still hope for us.
Sam: It's nice out here, isn't it?
Grace: Hmm. It's nice anywhere with you.
Sam: I love you, Grace Bennett.
Grace: I love you, Sam Bennett.
Sam: You know, I am sorry. I mean, here I was going to take you out on a nice, quiet, romantic dinner and --
Grace: Oh, Sam. Come on, don't be silly. You're in the middle of an investigation. You're trying to solve a murder case. I mean, finding out who killed Julian Crane takes priority.
Sam: Yes, it does. The D.A. wants an arrest.
Grace: Well, you have plenty of suspects.
Sam: That's for sure. Julian had a whole army of enemies.
Grace: And we know that Rebecca had a gun.
Sam: Well, she's not the only suspect. A whole lot of people out there had a motive to kill Julian. Unfortunately, some had stronger motives than others.
Grace: You're thinking of T.C.?
Sam: Yeah. I wish I wasn't, but I am.
T.C.: Finally, Pop, I'm going to make Julian pay for what he did to us. He took my life. Now I'm going to take his.
Ivy: You're not going to get away with this, Eve. No, no, no, no. You are going to change those DNA test results. I'm going to find a way to force you. But how?
Eve: And, remember, no drinking, no smoking, and if you so much as see someone with drugs -- I know. I don't. I can trust both my girls. You never let me down.
Ivy: Oh, that's it. That's it. I know exactly how to get Eve to do what I want her to do?
Ivy: It's me, Marty.
Marty: My favorite client?
Ivy: Your best-paying client.
Marty: Talk to me, Mrs. C.
Ivy: I have a job for you, Marty -- something very important I want you to do.
Sam: I hate to even think it.
Grace: I know, Sam.
Sam: I mean, the idea of T.C. having anything to do with Julianís murder. But he was so angry, so full of hate for Julian.
Grace: Yeah, well, he does have his reasons.
Sam: Which is why he's a prime suspect.
Grace: Still, I can't imagine T.C. going after Julian.
Sam: Yeah, but, remember, we had to pull him off Julian that night. If we hadn't, he might -- oh, come on. What am I talking about? T.C. is my best friend. I mean, how could I even think he'd murder someone in cold blood?
Grace: Sam, don't be so hard on yourself. You're a cop. It's your job. You have to maintain your objectivity, especially when it comes to a friend.
Sam: To think I might have to bring him in for questioning.
Grace: Well, you know you're going to have to bring other friends in for questioning, too.
Sam: Luis for one. We all know how much he despised Julian.
Grace: And with good cause, too. Theresa's his sister. Julian got her pregnant.
Sam: And to think I might have to question my own son. Ethan blames Julian for taking advantage of Theresa.
Grace: Julian destroyed the love of his life.
Sam: That's a powerful motive. But even I can't imagine Ethan murdering Julian, but I sure as hell can't rule him out as a suspect.
Grace: Well, I can't imagine Ethan doing it, either. I can't imagine any of our friends murdering Julian.
Sam: You know, sometimes the nicest people can be pushed to do the most terrible things -- even murder.
T.C.: I'm glad you're dead, Julian. You got what you deserve, you bastard.
Eve: I'm glad you're gone, Julian. I'm glad you can't hurt me or my family anymore.
Ethan: I'm sorry, Theresa, but nothing's changed.
Theresa: Well, but --
Ethan: I can't take you back. Too many things have happened. I mean, we both have to move on with our lives.
Theresa: No, no, you don't -- you don't mean it. I mean, I know that you still care. That's why you came out here with my coat.
Ethan: Theresa, I came out here with your coat because I didn't want you to catch a cold.
Theresa: But that's what I mean. I mean, you're always looking out for me, just like I'm always looking out for you.
Ethan: Well, then, we're going to have to start looking out for ourselves. You know, you're going to have to start doing things yourself just like I am.
Theresa: I canít.
Ethan: You have to. You have to move on with your life. A life that doesn't include me.
Ivy: Oh, Eve Russell thinks she's so damn smart, refusing to help me, saying I'll never get her to do my bidding. Well, well, we'll just see about that. Hmm. Because once my plan goes into effect, I think Eve Russellís going to be doing what I want for a very, very long time.
Miguel: You know, I wish everyone was as forgiving as you, Kay. The world would be a better place.
Kay: Oh. Well, really, I just want you to be happy, so --
Miguel: You're the best, Kay. I mean, I've always known that, but we've been friends for so long, I guess I kind of started taking it for granted. You really are special, and I am so lucky to have you in my life.
Marty: Drink up, sweetheart. In a minute, you won't know what hit you.
