Theresa: Tell me last night was just a bad dream. Tell me that Ethan doesn't know I'm pregnant with Julian's child.

I'm afraid it is true.

Theresa: I have to find Ethan. Is he in the kitchen?!

He didn't sleep here last night. He didn't come back to the house. Don't look at it, Theresa. That's just garbage.

It's just a rag. Everyone knows you can't believe what you read in there.

Ethan: What do you want?

Reporter: Ethan, I'd like to get your reaction to the fact that your fiancée, Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald, is pregnant. See, photos don't lie. See for yourself.

Ethan: Theresa, I saw you down there before Christmas. I never thought -- is it true? Were you at the abortion clinic? Tell me, Theresa. I need to know the truth. This picture of you does not portray you. You're going into the abortion clinic. Tell me why. I need the truth.

Theresa: It's true. Ethan, listen to me, okay? You don't understand.

Ethan: Yes, I do. It was my fault. You never would have done such a thing if you hadn't thought I didn't want the… if you hadn't thought I didn't want the baby.

Theresa: Ethan, listen to me. It's not your baby!

Good morning.

It looks like we could all use a jolt of caffeine. I get the feeling no one slept too well last night.

Weighing too much on my mind.

Diana: I was afraid to close my eyes when I found out I was sleepwalking across town. It was so vivid. I'm still not 100% sure it wasn't real. How could that have been?

Brian: Just let it go.

Diana: You know, no offense, Brian, but how would you know? You were having quite a dream yourself last night.

Brian: Was I?

Diana: More like a nightmare actually. I went in to check on you because you were yelling in your sleep.

Brian: What'd I say?

Diana: It was hard to make out because you were so agitated. You were talking about killing someone.

Ethan: Theresa, who's the father?

Julian: You people are still here? This party's over! You will have no more food and no more drinks! You can just vamoose!

You were here to tell me. Tell me what to do.

Brian: I wish I could help you guys out but I don't know what I dreamed last night.

Diana: It's strange, isn't it? Me sleepwalking and thinking someone died and you having a nightmare and yelling out in your sleep about killing someone. Why are we both dreaming about death?

Brian: Who says it has to do anything about the death of a person?

Diana: What does that mean?

Brian: Don't the head doctors always say our dreams are more symbolic than literal? Diana and I both had our hopes smashed lately. Maybe the subconscious mind is warning the death of our dreams.

Liz: Makes sense to me.

Brian: Come on. Why would you be out sleepwalking and why would I have nightmares like that? We just have a lot on our minds.

Diana: I guess you're right. If you'll excuse me, I'll wake Shirley. I'll be right back.

Liz: So do you really believe that bunk you just spattered out about subconscious mind?

Brian: Why wouldn't I?

Liz: Brian, I know you left here last night with a gun. You're hell-bent on getting revenge on the man that separated your family all those years ago.

Brian: I never should have said anything.

Liz: You did. Now I have to ask you, did you find him? Did more happen last night than what you're saying?

Theresa: Everybody warned me, especially you, Luis. And Mama, I am so sorry that I let you all down.

Luis: Don't worry about it, Sis. We just want you to be okay.

Theresa: But I won't be okay. Not without Ethan. I lost him for good this time. It's nobody's fault but my own. I lied about something so awful. It's unforgivable. I shamed him and I shamed all of you! Everyone that I love!

Luis: No, you haven't. Sis, come on. Hey, we love you. We will always love you.

Theresa: Luis I know how much our family means to you. You and Mama have worked so hard to keep this family together. And now I disgraced you. I wouldn't blame you if you hated me.

Luis: I could never hate you. Come on, you're my sister. I'll always love you, no matter what. It's not your fault anyway. It's Julian Crane's. He's a pig and he doesn't deserve to live. At least we don't have to worry about him anymore. We'll never see him again.

How do you know that?

Tabitha: What happened last night?

Timmy: Timmy went to visit Charity at the cave.

Tabitha: You're a very bad boy. I told you, you are never to set foot near that place again.

Timmy: Timmy had to double-check that Charity is all right. If that's the case, the angel girl stopped by.

Tabitha: Sounds like a do-gooders' get-together.

Timmy: Timmy said how Timmy loves Charity. You know what she had to say?

Tabitha: Blah, blah, blah and more blah.

Timmy: No. She said that Timmy and Charity are connected like Romeo and Juliet.

Tabitha: Oh, please. I've never heard such hogwash.

Timmy: It's not hogwash, Princess. It's true love. It's magic. It's --

Tabitha: That's enough! You're spoiling my perfect morning. Everything's fine twice. Charity's on ice so she won't come to her full powers and I will have my revenge on the Crane family. I have seen Julian Crane murdered. And that's not all. That's just the beginning. I'm warning you, Timmy. Don't harsh my mellow. This is my moment in the sun and I'm going to enjoy it. Cheers.

Liz: If I'm wrong, just say so. It's a natural question, Brian. What happened last night after you left here with that gun?

Brian: Did I ever tell you're one nosy lady?

Liz: You're not going to answer my question, are you?

Brian: I'm not going to talk about it, not now, not ever. I'm going to leave Harmony and get this messy baggage behind me. I don't want to think about this anymore. I'm going to make a telephone call to see if we can get flights out of here today.

Diana: So soon?

Brian: I told you I would turn the boat over this morning. After that there's no reason for us to stick around, is there?

Diana: I guess not.

Brian: Look, I'm sorry things didn't work out the way you'd hoped.

Diana: I was just sure Harmony held the key to my past. It must have been just wishful thinking.

Liz: While you're at it, make reservations for me and Doc, will you? Guest or no guest, the Island Hotel needs me and it's freezing here.

Brian: No kidding.

Liz: I think I'm coming down with a cold. I'll go to Doc and tell him to start packing.

Diana: I'm starting to get my things together too.

Brian: Diana, I really am sorry.

Diana: So am I. I really thought there was something here for me. How could I have been so wrong?

Luis, what are you saying? How do you know we'll never see Julian Crane again?

Luis: I can't be sure. It -- I'm just going by what it looks like. The paper said they tried to reach Julian for comment at the estate and he never showed up. Unless someone else ran into him last night. Yeah, you know. He knows he's in trouble. He knows a lot of people want to tear him apart. I wouldn't be surprised if he never shows his face again.

Where would he go? He's still famous all over the country that people would recognize him in a second. Did you say his father called wondering where he was?

Alistair did call.

He's probably in hell right where he belongs.

Theresa: Ethan, you must feel so betrayed.

Don't do this to yourself, Theresa.

Theresa: I can't help it. I hurt the man I love. The only man I'll ever love. I've lost him forever.

Pilar: Why don't you boys get on with your day, and let me talk to your sister.

Luis: Bye. I love you no matter what. Don't forget that, all right? Promise?

Theresa: What have I done? Ethan will never forgive me. Not this time.

Miguel: What If Theresa is right? What if Ethan never wants to see her again?

Luis: It's possible. I know the guy loves her, but he has put up with a lot already. Maybe she went too far this time.

Miguel: But if you love somebody, aren't you supposed to accept them, mistakes and all?

Luis: Well, yeah. That is the idea. Sometimes someone hurts you bad enough, you have no choice. I think that Ethan could forgive her for just about anything if she had leveled with him. To find out she was pregnant with Julian's child the way he did --

Miguel: I guess loving someone isn't all it’s cracked up to be.

Luis: Why would you say that? You and Charity okay?

Miguel: Sort of.

Luis: You want to talk about it?

Miguel: There's not much to talk about. She hasn't been acting like herself lately. Remember the night she was hanging the mistletoe?

Luis: I thought that was a misunderstanding.

Miguel: So did I. But it happened again. A few times. Not with Hank, with other guys. And she's been really defensive. I think she may want to break up with me.

Luis: Have you talked to her?

Miguel: Every time I try to talk to her about it she bites my head off, like I'm the one with the problem. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have Kay to talk to about it. She's been great.

Luis: Why wouldn't she be? You guys have been friends since you were kids. I don't know what you're saying, Bro.

Miguel: I don't get it. A couple months ago we were all so happy. Ethan and Theresa, you and Sheridan. Now I don't know if we'll be together on her birthday. What happened to all of us, Luis? What went wrong?

Tabitha: Does the word loyalty mean nothing to you?

Timmy: Timmy cares about Princess. He just can't stand seeing other people get hurt anymore.

Tabitha: Well, excuse me. That's my very own raison d'être. I would appreciate you appreciating me. Starting out in the year 2002 with almost everyone we know on the precipice of pain. Not bad for a hag of a certain age who supposedly lost all her powers, eh, Timmy?

Tabitha: Timmy's sorry. It's horrible. It's terrible.

Diana: I just wish I knew why Harmony has such a pull over me.

Brian: Does it still?

Diana: Even more so. I mean, even though nothing has come back to me, I can't shake this feeling that this town played some part in my life before I lost my memory.

Brian: Maybe it's just like you said, wishful thinking.

Diana: Maybe. I was just so sure that once I saw the buildings, walked around the streets, looked at all the people, it would spark a memory, that it would come flooding back to me.

Brian: It'll come back to you. Some place, sometime.

Diana: You know what? I'm not going to give up yet. We still have a few hours. Anything could happen before then.

Liz: Morning.

Ethan: Hello.

Liz: I love the sea this time of day. It's so peaceful and serene. It looks like you want to be alone. I'll find another spot.

Ethan: Look, it's okay. You don't have to leave on my account.

Liz: You sure? I hate it when people barge into my space uninvited.

Ethan: Well, first of all, this isn't my space. Second of all, you're officially invited. I'm warning you, I'm not very good company right now.

Liz: You want to talk about it?

Ethan: You a shrink or a bartender?

Liz: Neither, but I'm a pretty good listener if you need one.

Ethan: About a month ago, I lost my best friend in the world. Actually she was my aunt. At least I thought she was. It's a whole other story.

Liz: I'm sorry.

Ethan: She was the one person I could go to when things were just crazy. She was young, but she always made things clear. She just had this way of sifting through garbage, making sense out of what's incomprehensible. I'm really missing her now.

Liz: Oh, my God.

Tabitha: Wrong, terrible? How can you sit in judgment of me, your very own creator?

Timmy: Since I became a real life boy with a heart, a soul and a conscience.

Tabitha: Oh, spare me. This isn't amusing any longer, Tim-Tim. Or should I call you Baby Gandhi?

Tabitha: Timmy doesn't care what you call it. Timmy can’t sit in silence and watch Princess destroy all these lives. It's not right.

Tabitha: Seriously, I liked you much better before your transformation into a saint. How much longer am I going to have to put up with this?

Timmy: Forever if Timmy has anything to say about it. Timmy wants to devote his life to helping people, not hurting them. And the first person he's going to help is Charity.

Tabitha: Over my dead body. You're not helping anyone, especially not Miss Minnie Mouse.

Timmy: Charity is the one Timmy loves.

Tabitha: Put a sock in it, Timmy! If you lift so much as a finger to thaw out your precious Charity, the truth will come out how she was frozen and I will be exposed as a witch. Is that what you want?

Timmy: No, but --

Tabitha: Don't even think about it. You hear me? You promised when you became human, you wouldn't abandon me. Are you going to keep your word? I'll be back shortly to get your answer.

Ethan: What is it?

Liz: Is this the woman you were just telling me about?

Ethan: No, that's my fiancé.

Liz: She's stunning. You two must be so much in love. Oh, don't tell me she wants to break up with you.

Ethan: No, it's a bit more complicated than that. A while ago we made a promise to each other not to keep any secrets from each other. I just found out she broke her word.

Liz: And you're not sure if you could forgive her.

Ethan: I want to, but it’s something so important, so serious that I don't know if I can get past it. About a month ago, she got drunk and married the man I once thought was my father.

Liz: Ouch.

Ethan: That was about enough. They ended up sleeping together on their wedding night and she got pregnant by him. She wasn't going to tell me either. Not just a little white lie. I don't know if I can ever trust her again.

Miguel: I don't get it. How can you go from being so happy to not even wanting to wake up in the morning?

Luis: Well, things happen, little brother. Don't ask me why. I've been asking myself the same questions over and over. I still have the questions -- I just don't have the answers. I'm still having a hard time accepting the fact that Sheridan's really gone.

Miguel: If you have enough faith, miracles can happen.

Luis: Sheridan and I already had our miracle. I don't expect another one in this life time.

Miguel: I don't think Mama is going to get her miracle either. I told her there was no way Antonio was going to come home. What?

Luis: Well, if I tell you something, you have to swear not to tell anyone, especially Mama.

Miguel: I swear to God.

Luis: Antonio's here.

Miguel: Why didn't he come to the house?

Luis: I told him if he planned on staying here not to let Mama see him. He broke her heart once. I told him if he gave a damn about her, he’d just leave her alone.

Miguel: You know what this means, Luis. Miracles can happen. If Antonio can come home, so can --

Luis: Stop right there, okay? I appreciate what you're trying to do. I have to face reality. Sheridan is gone and she is not coming back.

Brian: How you doing?

Diana: I'm almost packed. I'll be ready to go soon.

Brian: I have to drop off these keys.

Diana: Maybe your mother will be home and you'll get to see her after all.

Brian: It's probably best if my mother never knew I was here. My brother's a cop so I'll drop these off at the police station I guess.

Diana: Can I come?

Brian: If you want.

Diana: I do. I can't wait to meet your brother and tell him what a jerk he is.

Miguel: What did Antonio look like? What did he say? Did he seem happy with his life? Tell me everything.

Luis: There's nothing to tell. To be honest with you, I didn't give him a chance to fill me in.

Miguel: You still hate him for taking off on us, don't you?

Luis: Come on, man. It was different for you. You and Theresa were just kids. I did the best I could.

Miguel: I know, it wasn't fair. I figured he had a good reason for leaving.

Luis: If there was, I don't know it. As far as I'm concerned, he's not welcome here. He broke Mama's heart once and I'm not going to let him do it again. He's long gone by now.

Pilar: You know, I -- I once had a daughter, Theresa, who never said those words. My daughter Theresa was the girl that believed in the impossible. And she made it happen in spite of the odds. Everyone told you to give up your dream about being with Ethan. Everyone. You proved them wrong. Because you're a strong and determined young woman. This is not the time for you to give up your dreams.

Theresa: You really think there's a chance? For me and Ethan to be together?

Pilar: I know that if you give up, we'll fight. You'll fight for love and you’ll fight for Ethan.

Ethan: I love her so much. But how do you stay with someone who doesn't trust you enough to be honest?

Liz: I really wish I knew what to tell you.

Ethan: You sound like I blame her for everything that happened. She's young. She's not that experienced. My father used her. He was a total bastard.

Liz: Is he dead?

Ethan: He is to me. I hate him for what he did to me and my fiancé. But she stole my heart and it isn't the first time.

Liz: It's hard being in a relationship that is not based on the truth.

Brian: Isn't that Liz down there at the end of the wharf?

Diana: Where?

Brian: Right down there, at the gates.

Tabitha: It's the top of the hour. I'm sure the radio will have a news bulletin on Julian Crane's matter now.

Radio Announcer: Top story, meteorologist Rod Rogers tells us to hunker down for a big winter storm headed our way.

Tabitha: Winter storm indeed. What about the news that Harmony's wealthiest and most hated citizen has been murdered?!

Timmy: Maybe no one knows about Julian yet. Maybe no one found his body.

Tabitha: Well, that's no excuse. I think I've got to give them a little help along the way.

Timmy: Who are you calling?

Tabitha: The local trash paper. Hello? Yes. What's that? Oh, yes, I'd like to report a murder. Yes, of course I'm sure. The victim is Julian Crane. This ought to shake everyone up a bit.

Diana: I see Liz, but she's alone.

Brian: I guess she -- the guy she was talking to just took off. Maybe he was just asking directions or something.

Diana: You want to go say hello?

Brian: We'll catch up with her later. I want to catch up with my brother and get it done and over with.

Diana: No, I do not want to miss the chance -- there are a few things I want to say to him. Believe it or not he's going to listen.

Luis: You've been working, huh?

Rookie Cop: Just started today.

Luis: I'm Luis. Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald. That's what they call me.

Rookie Cop: You got a message. You just got a phone call.

Luis: From who?

Rookie Cop: They didn't say. They wanted to know if you were going to be in today and I told them you would be in soon.

Luis: No problem. Whoever it is I guess I'll know when they get here, huh? It's no big deal.

Theresa: I'm going to do what you said, fight for my love, fight for the future we’ve have been planning together for so long.

Pilar: That's the daughter that I recognize.

Theresa: What if he won't -- he won't talk to me? What if he sends me away? What if I've gone so far there's no undoing it?

[Knock on door]

Pilar: Who is it?

Ethan: It's Ethan.

Pilar: Come in, Ethan. I'll be in the kitchen.
