[Knocks on door]

Claude: But this detective has planted the seed of doubt. Can you be sure Mademoiselle Cramer isn't setting you up?

Tomás: Yeah. Blair, how's Jack?

Blair: They patched him up, and I took him home.

Tomás: So he's all right, then?

Blair: Hello.

Tomás: Oh, Blair, this is Mr.-

Blair: I know who it is. He's the art dealer who gave me your address in Paris.

Tomás: Of course.

Claude: It's very nice to--

Blair: What's he doing here, Tomás?

Cristian: Hey, Rama.

Rama: Hello.

Cristian: I'm sure you're not here for my famous Delhi belly, but just so you know, we're not open for business yet.

Rama: I'm not here for a drink. I'm here for you.

Rex: Your mom and I, we both know there's some things we need to work on as a family. We need to trust you, and you need to trust us.

Shane: How am I supposed to trust you after what you've said to Jack Manning?

Rex: But I shouldn't have done that.

Shane: You know what he's doing right now? He's probably telling the entire school about how Wheezy tried to jump off a roof.

Rex: Look, Shane. I am so sorry, ok? I was mad. I wasn't thinking.

Shane: Great. What are you gonna do the next time you get mad?

Brody: Rex, glad I found you. We need to talk.

Rex: Hey, what's up?

Brody: Hey, Shane.

Shane: Hey.

Brody: Mind if I have a minute alone with your dad?

Rex: Why? What's this about?

Brody: Jack Manning.

Receptionist: Can I help you?

John: Marty has been your patient for a while now.

Dr. Buhari: Yes, she has. Why?

John: Well, her behavior lately has been strange, to say the least, and I wanted to ask you some questions.

Marty's voice: I went to the lab when it was closed, even though I ran into that little guy that works for Clint Buchanan. I found it, and I printed it out, and there is was--proof, picture-perfect. The baby was John's. Natalie has everything, happy ending. She had my life. See, my fingers were on the keyboard, and before I even realized it, opened the file, deleted, and replaced, and it was done. No going back.

Dr. Buhari's voice: You changed Natalie's lab results? You altered her medical records?

Marty's voice: Yes.

Dr. Buhari: I'm glad you're here, Lieutenant. I need to talk to you about Dr. Saybrooke, too.

Natalie: Marty...

Marty: He really does look like his father, don't you think?

Natalie: Stay the hell away from my son.

Marty: Oh, come on, Natalie. I was trying to be civil. You should try it sometime.

Natalie: Forget it, Marty. You're not going anywhere.

James: I was just calling you to see if you were ready for me to pick you up.

Starr: She's been ready since early this morning. She couldn't wait to get back to you.

Cristian: You're here for me.

Rama: I've been so desperate to get in touch with you since the two of us have been so viciously slandered. "Access Llanview." Didn't you watch it?

Cristian: Oh, the TV show.

Rama: Yeah. Phyllis Rose made it sound like the two of us couldn't keep our hands off each other.

Cristian: You should just ignore it.

Rama: I wish I could, but what's poor Vimal gonna think when his wife is made to look like a wanton slut who cheats with the first pair of arms that comes her way?

Cristian: Excuse me?

Rama: "Llanview's Best Arms." That's all Vimal knows of you. I mean, for him to switch on the prison television and see all these terrible rumors-- I don't know how they started, but I assure you, I had nothing to do with it.

Cristian: I never thought you did.

Rama: Oh, ok. Good. So how do you think they started? I mean, isn't it bizarre that this gossipmonger thinks there's something going on between us?

Cristian: Not really.

Claude: I'm in New York on business, so I took the opportunity to say hello to my old friend.

Blair: I think you were doing more than saying hello. I heard you warning Tomás that I was setting him up. I'd like to know what you meant by that.

James: Why would you want to come back to this place? Miss my nephew screaming his lungs out at 3 a.m.? Starr's baby doesn't do that. You met Hope, right?

Deanna: She's beautiful, and La Boulaie was amazing. Starr put me in her cousin Langston's room.

James: Yeah. It's nice, right?

Deanna: Unbelievable--private bathroom, my own TV, fresh flowers all over the place.

James: And that's a problem because--

Deanna: No. It's not a problem. It's just, I felt weird. I'm not used to waking up having a maid serve me breakfast.

Starr: I told her she would get used to it, but--

Deanna: No, no. I don't mean to sound ungrateful. It's just, I sort of felt out of place. So I thought I'd come back here just till I have enough money to get home.

Starr: And I offered to lend her some, but she wouldn't take it. So now we're back to where we started, and I'm just wondering what happens next?

Gigi: I just need to pick up my son's backpack. He left it in the doctor's office.

Receptionist: I'm sorry, but Dr. Buhari is with someone right now. Could you come back a little later?

Dr. Buhari's voice: What can I do for you?

Gigi's voice: Tell me what happened. What did Shane say?

Dr. Buhari's voice: I'm sorry. I can't tell you anything Shane tells me in therapy.

Gigi: It's just, my son really needs his backpack now. Would you mind interrupting them?

Shane: Dad, if Brody wants to talk to you about Jack, I want to hear it.

Rex: Right. Anything you have to say to me you can say in front of Shane.

Brody: Jack filed a complaint against you, Rex, and, lucky me, I get to follow it up.

Rex: What kind of complaint?

Brody: I don't think it's anything too--

Rex: Just tell me what that kid said.

Brody: He said you hired some muscle to beat him up, but I couldn't picture you doing that, especially to a kid. So what's the story?

Marty: You want me to stay? You just ordered me to leave.

Natalie: No. I told you to stay away from my son, and I meant it.

Marty: Ah, but you know what? What happened before, that was a while ago, and I was ill.

Natalie: You tried to steal my child.

Marty: Ok. Let me explain. When Cole was sent away, ok, I couldn't face it. So I created my own reality, but that was temporary. I'm better now.

Natalie: How much better is the question.

Marty: I was in St. Ann's for months, and I've been working really hard in therapy.

Natalie: You think you're cured?

Marty: What, exactly, are you asking me?

Natalie: Well, if you're as much better as you think you are, why are you still carrying around my son's paternity test?

John: Some of the things that Marty has been saying lately, they're making me believe she was released from St. Ann's too early.

Dr. Buhari: You're the one who vouched for her, correct?

John: Her doctors were releasing her, anyway. I said I'd keep an eye on her, yeah, and I thought--I had hoped she was doing better, but clearly, she has been backsliding, and maybe you've noticed that. Maybe that's what you wanted to tell me.

Dr. Buhari: I had a session with Marty just a little while ago...

John: Mm-hmm.

Dr. Buhari: And I do have some concerns.

John: What did she say?

Dr. Buhari: A lot of what she said was about you, Lieutenant.

John: She talked about me?

Dr. Buhari: And Natalie Banks and your baby.

Brody: You didn't hire somebody to rough the kid up, did you?

Shane: No, but he should've. Manning had it coming.

Brody: Shane, what are you talking about? You think it's ok for a guy your age to get his butt kicked by some thugs?

Rex: I know you don't want me to talk about this.

Shane: It's ok. Brody is different. For a long time, I thought he was my dad. We can tell him. This stuff with Manning has been going on for months. Every day, he would post stuff about me on my MyFace making fun of my asthma and stuff.

Brody: That sucks.

Shane: Yeah. He started calling me "Wheezy," and pretty soon, everyone did.

Rex: Yeah, but it was way more than just name calling. Go on, Shane.

Shane: He stole my inhaler.

Rex: Shane had an attack. Jack and his little friends were just watching him on the gym floor. He couldn't breathe. He could've died.

Brody: Nobody did anything--the school, parents?

Rex: We didn't know.

Shane: I thought that if I told anyone that Jack would just figure out a way to make everything worse.

Rex: He did, anyway.

Brody: You know you can talk to me.

Shane: He stole my clothes at the gym and made sure that all the cheerleaders saw me, you know?

Brody: Oh, God, Shane.

Shane: There's more. He filmed-- he took a video of it and posted it online. Everyone saw it.

Rex: All right. Ok. All right. All right. You don't have to talk about this anymore. You can see why we're not feeling too bad for Jack Manning right now.

Brody: Little son of a-- I'm so sorry, Shane. Hey, how are things now? Are you ok?

Receptionist: I can't disturb the doctor when she's with someone.

Gigi: Oh, I wouldn't ask, but his homework is in there, and he's missed the last few days, so I picked up his assignments this morning.

Receptionist: I'm sorry.

Gigi: It's not just the papers. His rescue inhaler is in there, too. Shane has asthma.

John: No. Liam is Natalie's son. He's not mine. Marty has been talking about Liam? I mean, you know she tried to take him once.

Dr. Buhari: No, Lieutenant. I don't think there's any danger of that happening.

John: What'd she say, exactly? This is important, Doc. Marty has already threatened a friend of mine, all right? She told her to stay away from me. If she has said anything like that to you--

Dr. Buhari: She didn't, but what she did say is going to come as a shock, Lieutenant.

[Knocks on door]

Marty: Why would you think I have any interest in Liam's paternity test?

Natalie: Save it, Marty. Cristian told me that he saw you with it, which doesn't make any sense because you already know that Liam is Brody's, and not John's. John knows everything. So why are you carrying around this paternity test?

Marty: Mm-hmm. I could tell you, but I don't think you'd understand.

Natalie: Try me.

Marty: I kept it to remind myself--

Natalie: Of what you're capable of? Yes. Cristian told me that, too. Marty, come on. You're not gonna forget that. You're not gonna forget that you stole my medical records, and you're not gonna forget that you kept threatening to tell John so that you could get him back. So I'm not buying this whole reminder story. There's got to be another reason.

Rama: So you think there's some merit to this "Access Llanview" story?

Cristian: No. No. I'm just not surprised Phyllis Rose blew it into something that it's not. That's how she gets her ratings, by making a big deal out of nothing.

Rama: Oh, ok. So you think there's nothing to it, as well.

Cristian: Absolutely. We should just forget about it.

Rama: God, I wish I could. I can't. I've been so worried. I'm sick to my stomach about it. You know what would make me feel better? Your speciality--a Delhi belly...for medicinal purposes. Do you think you could make me one, even though the club is closed?

Cristian: I don't know. I mean, are you sure you can drink alcohol if you're pregnant?

Rama: Who told you I was pregnant?

Cristian: No one. No one. I was just talking to a friend of mine about you, and--

Rama: You were talking to a friend about me? Why?

Claude: Tomás told me about what happened with his brother-in-law.

Blair: My ex-husband.

Claude: Yes. I was shocked to hear that after Mr. Manning was shot, Tomás became a suspect. As his friend, I'm concerned. In some ways, I feel responsible.

Blair: Why?

Tomás: Claude is the one who convinced me to leave Paris so I could see you again.

Claude: I thought it would make him happy. Now I'm afraid he's going to get hurt.

Blair: By me?

Claude: Yes.

James: Don't worry about it. I got it covered. I've got the money to get you home.

Deanna: But how? You don't have a job.

James: Bobby gave me a loan.

Deanna: He can't afford that, either. I feel bad.

James: Don't, ok? It's not that much. You're gonna have to buy a bus ticket, but there's enough left over for you to buy food and other stuff.

Starr: Well, that was really nice of Ford.

James: Yeah.

Starr: What's wrong, Deanna? Isn't that enough? Hi,

Deanna: No. I'm sure this is more than enough to get me home. It's not about the money.

James: Ok. So what is it about?

Deanna: I just-- I guess I wish I had another choice besides going back to Dayton.

Starr: You want to stay.

James: Well, that's typical, right? I mean, once they come to Llanview, they never want to leave, like me, but the difference between me and you is that you had a lot more to go back to, Deanna. You have your life and all your friends.

Deanna: Right.

Starr: So we should probably get going, huh? I mean, we could drive you to the bus station.

Deanna: I need to ask you something first.

Starr: What?

Deanna: I'd like some time alone with James before I go.

Cristian: Well, I was talking to a friend of mine, and I happened to mention what your husband told me about your delicate condition. So my friend assumed that that meant you were pregnant, and just now I heard you say that you were sick to your stomach, so I-- look. I'm sorry. Maybe I shouldn't be talking about this. It's none of my business if you're pregnant.

Rama: I'm not. I'm not pregnant. I just told Vimal I was.

Blair: Why do you think I'll hurt Tomás? I turned him down, because I was afraid he was gonna hurt me.

Claude: You're mistaken, Mademoiselle. Tomás would never hurt you or anyone else. He's a good man, but I know your detective feels differently, and I feel his suspicion may rub off on you. So tell me, do you think Tomás was involved in that shooting?

[Knocks on door]

Dr. Buhari: I'm sorry, Lieutenant. Come in.

Gigi: Shane, I'm sorry... but everything went wrong because we didn't know what was going on. I'm just so scared.

Receptionist: I'm so sorry for interrupting your session, especially after all the times we talked about privacy and confidentiality. It won't happen again.

John: What did Marty say that would shock me?

Receptionist: Here you go.

Gigi: Thank you so much, and again, I'm sorry to disturb, really.

Receptionist: Ms. Morasco, stop. What are you doing?

Shane: Ahh. I'm doing better now. Now that Mom and Dad know, it doesn't feel as bad.

Brody: Listen. I'm so sorry you had to go through that, and I'm sorry that we didn't all know until now. I wish I could've done something to help.

Shane: Thanks. And, Dad, whatever you want to tell Brody, it's cool. I'm gonna go hit the vending machines. I don't know who hired those guys, but whoever did, Manning deserved it.

Brody: I wouldn't blame you, Rex. If someone had bullied Liam like that, I don't know what I would-- it's just, hiring the muscle, it didn't seem like something you would do.

Rex: No. It's not.

Brody: You have any idea who did it?

Rex: Yeah, somebody who hasn't been that close to Shane in the past who's got something to prove.

Brody: Are we talking about Clint?

Rex: Hey, I don't have proof.

Brody: You know, he would've had to have done it before his heart attack, but yeah. If anybody wouldn't think twice about hiring a couple of goons to beat up a high-school kid, it's Clint Buchanan.

Rex: So is this everything?

Brody: Actually, no. Jack says that you assaulted him, too. Is that true?

Dr. Buhari: Would you like some water?

John: No. I want to know what the hell Marty said to you.

Marty's voice: You and I are the only two people that will ever know that John is Liam's father.

Dr. Buhari's voice: You thought of this before you spoke up.

Marty's voice: Of course, I did. We're therapists. We know the law.

Dr. Buhari: Forgive me, Lieutenant. I may have overstepped.

John: Overstepped what?

Dr. Buhari: I shouldn't have implied that I was gonna share specifics with you. As you know, I can't do that. Anything Marty said in session is confidential.

John: Not if she's dangerous. I already told you she's threatened a friend of mine.

Dr. Buhari: She told this friend to stay away from you. I'm not sure that qualifies as a threat.

John: So you don't believe in any way it's possible Marty would harm someone?

Dr. Buhari: I don't believe she'll harm anyone physically. No.

Marty: I don't give a damn what you believe, Natalie. I don't have to explain myself to you.

Natalie: So you're just gonna hold on to Liam's paternity test for the rest of your life?

Marty: Actually, when Cristian asked me about it, I realized I didn't need it, so I got rid of it.

Natalie: Oh. Just like that? So you all of a sudden decided that you didn't need to remind yourself... about what you were capable of, right? How about what I'm capable of?

Marty: Hey! Give that back! That's mine! Give it back!

Natalie: I need to see if you're telling the truth.

Marty: Give that to me. You have no right to take--

Natalie: Ha! What do you know? You're lying.

Blair: Tomás didn't tell you that we made plans to go out. On a date. Now, would I do that if I were suspicious of him?

Claude: I suppose not. I'm glad I have nothing to worry about.

Blair: You don't.

Claude: Then I'll be getting back to New York. But it was a pleasure seeing you again, Mademoiselle Cramer.

Blair: Excuse me, gentlemen.

Rama: Thank you. This is delicious. You've been practicing.

Cristian: Is it good enough to let me ask you one more question?

Rama: What do you want to know?

Cristian: Why would you tell your husband that you're pregnant when you aren't?

Rama: Vimal was so despondent when he heard that he had to go to prison that I thought having a baby would give him something to look forward to. So I made up the lie. I'm sorry. I know what you're thinking. You're thinking I'm a terrible person. You know what, I don't blame you if you never want to speak to me again.

Claude: Just be careful.

Tomás: When have I ever let a beautiful woman bring me down?

Claude: This Todd Manning situation is different. The two women you are closest to--Mademoiselle Cramer and your sister--are deeply connected to him. I'm afraid that if you see this through to the end, it could spell disaster for all of you.

Starr: Why do you need time alone with James?

Deanna: I just want this good-bye to be better than our last one.

Starr: When you broke up with him?

Deanna: Yeah. I turned that into a huge mess. And if I'm never gonna see you again, I'd kind of like to leave things on a good note. I mean, you can understand that, right, Starr?

Starr: Well, what can I say? No? Of course, you can have time to say good-bye.

Deanna: Thanks. Look, I really appreciate you giving me a place to stay and everything.

Starr: Sure. It was really nice meeting you.

Gigi: What am I doing? Nothing. Why? What do you think I'm doing?

Receptionist: I wasn't accusing you of anything. Except leaving without making your next appointment.

Rex: Assaulted him? No, no, look. I went after Jack pretty hard, ok? I didn't hurt him.

Brody: Ok. I am gonna need you to sign a statement, though.

Rex: So after everything this kid does to my son, he turns this on me.

Brody: Don't worry. If Jack wants to push this, he's gonna have to go public with what he did to Shane, and he doesn't want that.

Rex: Yeah, no kidding. What Jack did--it's worse than you know. It's gonna be a long time before Shane's ok again.

Brody: How about you? Are you ok? I wouldn't be, either, if this happened to Liam.

Rex: You know... I mean, I wish for Natalie's sake that Liam turned out to be John's, but kid's pretty lucky to have a dad like you.

Marty: Give me that.

Natalie: No. Why do you need this anymore?

Marty: You don't need it, either, so give it to me.

Natalie: Marty, I don't understand. Why are you hanging onto this? Is this some sort of souvenir to you? Like, reminding you of the good, old days when you could hold it over my head?

Marty: No. I don't know. I don't know why I did it. It was stupid. So can we just let it go now?

John: You said Marty wouldn't hurt anyone physically. We both know there's other ways to hurt people. When I think about what she said to Kelly-- she's obviously delusional. I mean, she believes... there's still a chance for us.

Marty's voice: I don't want everything out in the open, because then John might go back to Natalie. Can't have that.

Dr. Buhari's voice: Why not?

Marty's voice: Because he's with me! He belongs to me!

John: And if she said anything to you about hurting Kelly or anyone else, I need to know about it.

Dr. Buhari: What's going on with Marty is not just about your friend Kelly.

John: Ok. What about Natalie? Huh? I mean, Kelly said Marty said something about she would break Kelly and I up the way she broke Natalie and I up, which is strange, because Marty knows why we broke up, and it wasn't because of her.

Dr. Buhari's voice: You took a copy of Natalie's paternity test from the lab.

Marty's voice: That's right.

Dr. Buhari's voice: You used it as leverage with Natalie. You said you'd tortured Natalie by threatening to tell John.

Marty's voice: Correct.

Dr. Buhari: You could only do that if the test said Brody Lovett was the father.

Marty's voice: It did. Eventually.

John: Why would Marty say she was the reason we broke up?

Dr. Buhari: I really can't theorize.

John: Give it a shot, Doc. Put yourself in my position. I don't like being manipulated, and I won't let it happen again.

Natalie: Why should I let it go when you can't?

Marty: I have let it go.

Natalie: Apparently not, which is weird. You've gotten everything you wanted, Marty. Maybe you weren't there for the critical moment when John found out that Liam was Brody's and not his, but you--trust me-- you hurt him just as much as you wanted to. He hates me. He's never gonna come back to me. You won.

Marty: You make it sound like we're at war, Natalie. We're not, not anymore.

Natalie: If you think I believe that, then you're much more delusional than I thought you were. Do you even know the difference between reality and fantasy?

Marty: I know exactly what's true and what isn't. And I know that piece of paper can't hurt you anymore. So just give it back to me.

Natalie: No, Marty. Why do you want this piece of paper so badly? Is there something I'm missing?

James: Thanks for understanding. I don't think this'll take long at all.

Starr: I hope not.

James: It won't. Because there's someone I want to be alone with.

Starr: There is?

James: Well, unless you're busy tonight.

Starr: I don't know. What do you have in mind?

James: Finding someplace we can be alone, with no interruptions. And then...

Starr: What?

James: See where the night takes us.

Starr: I would love that.

James: I'll see you later. I checked the bus schedule, so we don't have a lot of time.

Deanna: I know. I know. All I need is a chance to finally say what I've been trying to say.

James: Ok, what about?

Deanna: About why I broke up with you.

Cristian: You were trying to give your husband some hope for the future. I can't blame you for that. And I definitely won't stop speaking to you.

Rama: Thank you.

Cristian: But you know, eventually, Vimal's gonna find out that there's no baby, so what are you gonna do then?

Rama: I don't know. I haven't thought that far ahead. But that's a good question. I really appreciate you giving me the benefit of the doubt.

Cristian: Sometimes it is possible to do the wrong thing for all the right reasons.

Blair: So is Mr. Calmar gone?

Tomás: I hope he didn't offend you.

Blair: Of course not. Having a thug beat up my son-- that offends me. I cannot thank you enough for stopping them.

Tomás: Anyone else would've done the same.

Blair: Well, I think you've turned Jack into a big fan of yours. You're his hero now.

Tomás: He was pretty shaken up.

Blair: Yes.

Tomás: And so are you, so if you want to cancel tonight, stay home with your son, I completely understand.

Rex: Well, there you go. There's my official statement.

Brody: I'm sorry to have to waste your time with this.

Rex: It's just a procedure, right? Natalie complains about it, too. How is she, by the way?

Brody: She's a great mom, Rex. Liam's crazy about her.

Rex: He keeps her pretty busy.

Brody: Hey, keeps us both busy. It's a good thing. Gives us less time to think about what we lost.

Rex: I'm sorry, man. I know it's been rough.

Shane: Hey, Brody, you like this kind, right?

Brody: Hey. It's my favorite. That's a good memory. Thanks, Shane. Anyway, I'll get back to you about the statement. You just hang in there, buddy. Sooner or later, bullies get what's coming to them.

Natalie: Seriously, Marty, why can't you wait to get this back? I mean, you must have it memorized by now. Do you want me to test you on it?

Marty: All I want to do is throw it away.

Natalie: I can do that.

Marty: No, no, I'm right by my old office. There's a paper shredder in there.

Natalie: It's ok. I'm gonna hold onto it.

John: It may seem like I'm taking this too personally.

Dr. Buhari: No.

John: Maybe I am. Maybe I am. It just seems like in the last couple of months, I feel like I lost everything, you know, and as hard I tried to forget, those feelings don't just go away.

Dr. Buhari: I'm not sure why you're telling me this, Lieutenant.

John: I'm trying to make you understand that after everything that's happened, I will not let myself get hurt again. I will not let the people I care about get hurt again. So if you've got something to tell me about Marty, you need to start talking, Doc, because at this point I got nothing to lose.

Marty: Why would you want to keep that piece of paper, anyway? All it's ever done is cause you pain.

Natalie: Maybe I just like keeping it from you.

Marty: Does that make you feel better?

Natalie: Yeah. Yeah, actually, it does, and you want to know something that makes me feel even better?

Marty: What?

Natalie: This.

[Marty laughs]

Dr. Buhari: I'm sorry I can't say what you need to hear, Lieutenant, but I do have an idea.

John: What?

Dr. Buhari: You're a detective. If you have a bad feeling about Marty, maybe you should follow your instincts.

[Marty laughs]

Natalie: Seriously? You think this is funny?

Marty: [Laughs] Oh, my God. You have no idea.

Natalie: What the hell does that mean?

Brody: What's going on?

Natalie: I don't know. You'd have to ask the crazy lady here.

John: Find out for myself? That's the best you can do, Doc?

Dr. Buhari: I can tell you that Marty has improved to a point where she won't kidnap a baby. I can tell you that I don't believe she'll physically harm herself or anyone else. And I can tell you that I'm doing all I can to help her make progress.

John: That's good for you, Doc. Doesn't help me very much.

Dr. Buhari: Just because I can't give you the answers doesn't mean you should stop trying. Someday, you'll find out what you need to know.

John: Yeah.

Rama: Well, thank you for the drink.

Cristian: Anytime.

Rama: I must be going. I promised to teach Nigel how to make chicken vindaloo.

Cristian: You and Nigel are pals?

Rama: We watched "Access Llanview" together until those terrible rumors.

Cristian: Listen, you know, I can talk to her.

Rama: To Phyllis Rose?

Cristian: Yeah. I'm not scared of her. Maybe I could set her straight.

Rama: No. To deny the story would convince her that you and I have something to hide.

Cristian: Which we don't.

Rama: Of course not. [Chuckles]

Blair: Jack has a household full of people to look after him. I think he'll be fine for a couple hours if I go out.

Tomás: Are you sure?

Blair: I'm sure.

Tomás: I'll meet you at 8:00.

Blair: Ok.

Starr: Hi, Mom.

Blair: Hi, beautiful. You remember my friend Tomás.

Starr: Yes. It's nice seeing you again.

Tomás: Likewise. See you later.

Blair: Ok.

Starr: Did I just hear you making a date?

Blair: It's not a date, not really. You know what? I'm just trying to get to know him better. So tell me about you. Who was that girl that slept in Langston's bedroom last night?

Starr: Someone who I thought was a problem, but it turns out that she's not. She left town.

James: It doesn't really matter why you broke up with me.

Deanna: So you don't care anymore?

James: I just don't see what difference it makes. I moved on.

Deanna: You still should know the truth. James, the whole thing. It wasn't what you thought it was. When I said good-bye to you, that was the last thing I ever wanted to do.

James: So why did you?

Deanna: Because of your father. He forced me.

Dr. Buhari: Could you get me the tape of my session with Marty Saybrooke? I'd like to review it.

Receptionist: Sure. It's right here.

Gigi: I can't believe I did this.

Shane: There she is, Dad. Got my backpack?

Gigi: It's right here.

Shane: What took you so long?

Gigi: Dr. Buhari was in a session and the receptionist didn't want to interrupt her. So how are my favorite guys doing?

Rex: We just had a little talk about trust.

Shane: I got pretty mad at him for telling Jack I... tried to kill myself.

Rex: But we talked it out.

Shane: So, Mom, next time I talk to the doctor alone, don't try to find out what I said, ok? That's why you sent me out of her office, right?

Dr. Buhari: This is the wrong tape. It's not Dr. Saybrooke's. It's Shane Morasco's.

Receptionist: I'm sorry. I don't know how that happened.

Dr. Buhari: The labels probably got switched. So if we find the one labeled Shane Morasco, it should be Marty's.

Receptionist: Right. Shane Morasco. It was here just a minute ago.

Gigi: We ready to go?

Shane: Mom, promise me that you won't try to spy on any more of my sessions?

Gigi: Yes, ok, sure. I promise.

Marty: Ha ha! Oh, Brody, sorry. I think you had to be there. Whoa! That is one beautiful, little baby boy you're raising together. Must make you so happy.

Brody: Do I even want to know what I missed?

Natalie: No. No. Anyway, what are you doing here? I thought you were working.

Brody: Yeah. I'm actually here on police business, but I'm done now, and I figured I'd see if you wanted some help with Liam while you visit with your dad.

Natalie: You're getting really good at that.

Brody: What?

Natalie: Just knowing what I need and when I need it.

Brody: You've done the same for me.

John: Marty. Hi.

Marty: Hey.

John: How are you?

Marty: As a matter of fact, I couldn't be better.

John: Good. Good. Hey, maybe want to get something to eat or something tonight?

Marty: Oh. I thought you had plans with Kelly.

John: No, I got out of that.

Marty: You did? Oh. Why?

John: Guess I'd rather hang out with you.

Marty: What time?

John: Uh...8:00?

Marty: Uh, I'll be there.

John: Ok.

Marty: I'll be ready.

John: All right.

On the next "One Life to Live"...

Cutter: Why don't I believe you?

Starr: I trust him.

Blair: Do you trust her?

James: What did that son of a bitch do to you?

Joey: Admit it, Tess. Niki Smith is back.

Niki: You never seen an alter before?
