Rex: You've been picking on my son, huh? Making him miserable.
Gigi: How could you do that to him?
Rex: What did he ever do to you?
Jack: Are you crazy? I haven't done anything to him!
Shane: Mom? Dad? [Breathing heavily] How am I ever gonna go back to school?
Jack: Shane went after me. You were there. He accused me of stealing the raffle money, when he was the one. It was in his locker.
Rex: Yeah, because you planted it there, you little--
Gigi: Rex! Careful!
Starr: If you have a problem with my brother, we can talk about it, but you do not threaten him!
James: Deanna, are you in there? Deanna!
[Knock on door]
Rick: Deanna. To what do I owe the pleasure?
Deanna: You know why I'm here. I need money, and I need it now.
Rick: So you want to be a star?
Deanna: I want to pay my motel bill, and you want to make a porn flick. Let's not pretend it's something else.
Rick: You can call it whatever you want as long as you're in my movie.
Charlie: You and me, what we've been doing, it's not fair to anyone.
Echo: What are you saying, Charlie?
Charlie: Look, I just came from the custody hearing.
Echo: Did you and Viki win?
Charlie: No. With Clint in jail, Viki’s going to go for sole custody, and the judge needed more time to consider the case, so the court's recessed, but as soon as Ryder’s custody is decided, I am gonna tell her the truth.
Viki: Oh, my God. What is this?
Nora: The night Eddie is killed, I was in his room. Rex comes and finds me. He takes me out. Go to the car. We get in an accident. Hit my head. Black out. Well, I know I ended up back at the motel. I was outside Eddie's door. There was blood on my hands from my face. I tried the door. I couldn't get in. That's right. Isn't that right? I couldn't get in. Oh, my God. I got in.
Nora: It wasn't locked. I opened the door. Did I go into the room? Oh, my God. Oh, my God, oh, my God, oh, my God. Okay, okay, all right, all right. Just relax. Oh, my God. Okay, you can do this. You can do this. You were outside the door. You opened the door.
Bo: Excuse me, Viki.
Viki: I'm really sorry. I'm sorry. I wasn't looking.
Clint: Viki, what happened? What's wrong?
Bo: Is the hearing over?
Clint: Oh, my God. Ford got custody of our grandchild, didn't he? I shouldn't have signed those affidavit papers. Now the judge has given custody of Ryder to Tess and her thieving husband.
Viki: No, no, no. No, the hearing is not over. The judge--he called a recess. He needs to reconsider because of all the changes. Everything's changed.
Bo: Viki, are you all right?
Clint: You're upset, right? You're upset because of me.
Viki: No. I mean, yes, I am. No. No, that's not it.
Clint: Then what's wrong? Viki, talk to me.
Echo: So you're going to tell Viki what, exactly?
Charlie: That we've been...seeing each other. I have to, Echo. She's my wife. I owe her that much.
Echo: Charlie, are you leaving me?
Manager: Hey. You know Deanna Forbes?
Deanna: It's not like I'm a virgin or anything. I mean, what's the big deal? It's just sex, right?
Rick: That's all it is.
Deanna: And I need the money. James can't help me, and I definitely can't head back to Dayton, so why not, right?
Rick: Right you are. Come on. Come on in. Meet the guys. They are going to love you.
James: Yeah, I know Deanna, but it doesn't look like she's here. Who are you?
Manager: The manager, and she owes me for a few days.
James: Okay, well, I don't have any money.
Manager: Then tell the bitch she either pays me or she's out.
Starr: Rex, can you hear me?!
Gigi: Rex, stop. Stop. I'm sorry, Starr, but it's true. Your brother has been tormenting our son for months, calling him horrible names, playing tricks on him.
Jack: Yeah, like I have time to play tricks on anyone. My dad's in a coma. I barely even have time for school. Starr's here to take me to the hospital right now. Come on, Starr. Let's go.
Rex: Hey, it's not gonna go away, Jack. We got proof. I've been on Shane’s MyFace page, okay? I saw the vicious crap you posted.
Girl's voice: Nice one-pack, wheezy.
Jack's voice: Hey, where you going, wheezy?
Rex: You called him wheezy. You made fun of his asthma. You laughed at him for being sick. You said he was better off dead.
Jack: No. That's not me. I would never do that.
Rex: Oh. You're not "whodamann"? That's not your picture?
Jack: No. Come on, Starr. Let's get out of here. Let's go see Dad.
Starr: No. I want to see this.
Starr: Why would you do all of this?
Jack: It's not what you think.
Starr: It's not? "What were you in the hospital for? Sucking? Too bad it didn't kill you. How about doing us all a favor and never coming back? Shut up, wheezeball, or we will turn your head into a toilet cleaner"? What?
Jack: It's a joke.
Gigi: It's not--it's not funny, okay?
Starr: You know, I thought you were going through a rough time because Dad is in a coma, but all of this--it says that it started months ago. What is wrong with you? How could you be so cruel?
Girl's voice: Oh, my God. How embarrassing. He's naked.
Jack's voice: Come on, wheezy. Smile for the camera.
Brad's voice: You've got to post that on his wall.
Jack: It's not what you think. We tease him. That's all it is.
Gigi: It's not teasing! Teasing is affectionate. What you've been doing is cruel and vicious.
Jack: Well, I'm not the only one. Everyone teases him. That's just the way it is. It doesn't mean anything.
Rex: No? How'd you like it if somebody ruined your life?
Gigi: I hate to say this, Starr, but I think Jack had something to do with Shane’s asthma attack the other day, when Shane suddenly threw away his inhaler.
Starr: Did you take Shane’s inhaler?
Jack: No. Why would I take his inhaler?
Rex: I don't know--so you can show off for your friends, take your anger out on somebody smaller than you?
Gigi: Jack, if your sister hadn't found him, if she hadn't called the nurse, he could have died.
Rex: I know you took that money, Jack.
Jack: Oh, really? Then how'd it get in Shane’s locker?
Rex: Well, gee, that's a good question. Maybe I should call the cops and get them to ask your friends.
Starr: Jack, what was going on with you and Shane when I first got here today?
Gigi: What are you saying--that something else happened?
Rex: What did you do to him this time?
James: First of all, Deanna is not a bitch. Don't you ever call her that. Second, if she owes you money, she'll pay it. Hey, I'm talking to you! I know her well. She's very responsible. She'll do whatever it takes to make good on her bills, you got it?
Manager: She your girlfriend?
Manager: You sure?
Rick: Guys, I want you to meet Deanna.
Man: Hey, sweetheart, welcome aboard. Different
Man: Where'd you find her? She's a beauty.
Woman: Yo, honey.
Rick: We are going to make a lot of money with this one. Okay, this is how it works. You're the girl--simple enough, right? You're gonna answer the door to the pizza guy. You with me so far? Only--oh, no!--The pizza's cold. You don't want it. So then the pizza guy says--I love this part--he says, "So, what do you want?" And you get on the bed, all right? The pizza guy drops trou, and you go at it.
Deanna: I can't do this. I'm sorry.
Rick: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Just--just slow down. J.J., get out here. We're gonna take it nice and easy.
Deanna: I changed my mind. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I changed my mind. I can't do this.
J.J.: This the new girl?
Rick: This is Deanna. Yes. You were right. She is brand-new to all of this, so, sweetheart, we are gonna take it nice and easy. Do you want something to drink? Can you get her a soda?
Deanna: No, I'm fine.
Rick: Listen, it's simple. You need money, right? Because what I can tell, you are fresh out of options. What's it gonna be?
Deanna: You're right. There are no other options. Let's do this.
Viki: No, I'm fine. I'm fine. It's--it's a lot of stress. That's all.
Clint: Don't you worry about getting custody of Ryder, okay? Charlie is a good man. I know we've had our differences of late, but any judge worth his salt will see what a good person Charlie is, and then you'll get custody.
Charlie: God knows I've tried to stop coming here. I just can't seem to stay away from you. When I go home, I hate what I'm doing to Viki--sneaking around on her, cheating, lying to her, while you're--you're stuck here in this ugly hotel. You don't deserve that. Me keeping you at arm's length, disappointing you on a daily basis.
Echo: No. You never disappoint me.
Charlie: No, no, you're wrong. See, this situation is not fair to you or to Viki. It hit me when I got to the courthouse finally today and I saw that look of relief on Viki's face because she really didn't think that I was gonna show up. She's lost faith in me. She doesn't trust me. I can see that. Somehow deep down, she realizes that she can't depend on me, and she's right because I've got one foot here, and I've got one foot at home. I can't keep doing that. I can't have both of you.
Clint: I'm worried about her.
Bo: Oh. You know, maybe you should have thought of that before you headed down this road. You being in jail--it's gonna have an impact on the entire family. You know, the business is gonna take a hit, family finances. The kids are gonna catch hell in school. You really made one hell of a mess, but it ends now. Nora wants you held without bail, by the way, so don't even think about gassing up your jet.
Clint: Why would I run away? I'm not guilty.
Bo: Yeah? Why don't you tell that to the judge? He's waiting. Nora?
Clint: Is she breathing?
Bo: I got a pulse. Honey? Nora, come on, red. Open your eyes. Open your eyes. Come on. Oh, God, you scared me. What happened? Did you pass out?
Bo: Passed out and won't go see the doctor?
Nora: I'm fine, okay? I just fainted. I'm fine. It's no big deal.
Bo: If you found me on the floor, I'd be in an ambulance right now.
Nora: That's because you're a baby--my baby.
Bo: Oh, yeah, and you're so tough, huh? Out cold.
Nora: Thanks, tough guy.
Bo: What happened? Did you forget to eat? Are you sick?
Nora: No. I was just trying to remember what happened that night.
Bo: I told you, don't worry about that.
Nora: Well, I have to. I was there outside of Eddie's room.
Bo: Yeah, and the door was locked.
Nora: No, it wasn’t. I was trying to remember. I put myself back there outside of Eddie's room, and I tried the door, and I opened it. I opened it, and I looked into the room.
Bo: What did you see?
[Cell phone rings]
Echo: Is it Viki?
Charlie: I'll call her back. You know, I've got to stick by her until this whole custody thing is resolved. With Tess running wild the way she is, Viki has got to get custody. You understand.
Echo: Yeah. Yeah, I do. It's just--
Charlie: No, but I swear to you--I swear to you, as soon as Ryder is safe with Viki, I'm gonna tell her all about us.
Echo: You mean--you mean what? Charlie, what are you gonna tell her? What do you want?
Charlie: I love Viki, but I can't seem to stay away from you. Echo, the thought of losing you--I cannot imagine my life without you in it.
Shane: No posts.
[Knock on door]
Shane: Hey, Viki.
Viki: Hi, Shane. Is Charlie here with you?
Shane: No, and my parents are out, too, but it's okay. I'm allowed to stay here by myself.
Viki: Yes, I know that.
Shane: So you want to come in?
Viki: Okay, thanks. I was hoping Charlie was here, you know? He's not at the house. He's not answering his telephone. I thought maybe you guys were doing a project or something. Weren't you going to take pictures of the old Wallingford place?
Shane: Yeah, we were gonna do a lot of stuff, but I guess now that he's not my grandpa--I just wish he still was. Everything was so much better before.
Jack: You're on their side? Wait till Dad wakes up and I tell him what you did to me.
Starr: How about what you did? And there were other kids involved. Jack wasn't the only one.
Gigi: Involved in what?
Rex: Yeah. What was going on?
Starr: I don't know. As soon as I showed up, they all took off.
Gigi: Did you see Shane? Was he okay?
Starr: I don't know. Jack and all of his friends--they were high-fiving each other.
Rex: Where was Shane?
Starr: He ran back towards the locker room with his clothes.
Gigi: What do you mean, with his clothes?
Starr: Oh, God. He was naked.
Gigi: Out here in the gym?
Rex: What the hell did you do to my son?!
Jack: It was an April fool's thing. He thought it would be funny to flash the cheerleaders. It was insane.
Gigi: He would never, ever do that.
Rex: Listen to me, you little punk. I know for a fact that my son would never take his clothes off in front of the school. What did you do to him?
Jack: Get your hands off me. Aren't you going to do something?
Man: That girl Deanna, she's hot.
Rick: Quiet on the set. Okay, J.J. Get ready to do your thing.
J.J.: Rock on. Let's go, baby.
Rick: Camera is rolling. And...action.
J.J.: So, what do you want?
James: What are you doing?
James: What is going on in here?
Rick: Cut, cut, cut. What the hell do you think you're doing, man? You just ruined my shot. I want you to get off my set.
Man: Let's go, pal.
James: Touch me, and you're dead. Deanna, what the hell are you doing? What is going on in here? What is this, a-- oh, is this a porn?
Deanna: No! I mean, this is the first time. I needed the money.
James: Oh, my God.
Deanna: What are you doing here, anyway?
James: I was looking for you. I went to your room.
Deanna: Really? You were looking for me?
Rick: You guys should keep it up. We can make it a rom-com. Is this the jerk that dumped you? You get him out of here.
Deanna: Don't you touch him.
Rick: Deanna, listen to me. We're in the middle of something here, okay? You don't need this bum. You're starting over, brand-new. You're gonna have a career, I'm telling you. So just say good-bye to the meatball, and let's get back to work, okay?
James: Do you want to do this, or do you want me to get you the hell out of here?
Deanna: Get me out of here.
James: Come on. Let's go. Here.
Rick: Deanna! You're gonna regret this!
Starr: Answer Rex's question, Jack. What did you do to Shane?
Jack: Nothing. It was his idea.
Gigi: To run around naked at school.
Jack: Yeah. He thought it'd be funny.
Rex: There's nothing funny about humiliating one of your classmates.
Jack: You're the one humiliating him. He's just trying to get by.
Gigi: Forget it, Rex. He's not gonna tell us anything. We need to get Shane out of class, and we have to find out what's really going on. Starr, I'm sorry that your family is going through a hard time, but this has got to stop. We have to take this to the principal.
Starr: Gigi, I would do the exact same thing if someone ever did that to Hope. Here.
Gigi: Dude, let's go.
Jack: Thanks. Nice loyalty.
Starr: Are you serious?
Jack: Hell, yeah. I'm your brother. If Dad were here, he would've backed me up.
Starr: Not if he read what you wrote on Shane's site. What is going on with you, Jack? Why would you go after Shane like that? What did he ever do to you?
Viki: Oh, Shane, honey, I am so, so sorry. I know it meant the world to Charlie to be your grandfather, and obviously, it meant a lot to you, and you can still do projects together. You can do all kinds of stuff. It's just that recently, Charlie and I have been a little wrapped up in Jessica's problems, you know? We were at court today.
Shane: I know he's busy. It's just, I knew grandpa, Mr. Buchanan, he doesn't love me.
Viki: Oh, honey, no, no, no. I wouldn't say that. No.
Shane: He had the paternity test changed so my dad wouldn't know that he's his son. It's pretty clear he doesn't want us, and now everyone knows because it's in the paper, and all the kids at school-- it's just a mess.
Viki: God, honey, you know, Mr. Buchanan--oh, look--he's a very complicated man, and right now, he's in an awful lot of trouble.
Shane: He's rich. That's all anyone cares about. No one cares that he killed someone. Everyone knows that he's gonna get away with it.
Bo: Honey, what did you see when you opened the door to Eddie's room?
Nora: I don't know. I opened the door. I looked inside, and then it went black. The next thing I remember, you were waking me up. God, Bo, I was so close. I could feel the knob in my hand. I could feel the door opening, and then it just-- nothing.
Bo: Okay. It'll come to you.
Nora: But what if it doesn't? I was there, Clint. I went back to Eddie's motel room that night.
Clint: I thought you had a car accident.
Nora: I did. I did. I hit my head, and then there must've been some sort of brain trauma or something because I couldn't remember anything until now, but I'm starting to remember. I remember being at the motel. I remember being outside of Eddie's door, opening the door, and looking into the room, and then it goes black, but it was you that I saw in there, wasn't it? You were in Eddie Ford's room.
Clint: Are you sure about that?
Nora: No. No, but I will be because I'm going to remember.
Clint: Nora, maybe there is a reason that you blacked out. Maybe you don't want to know who was in that room, and perhaps you would be better off if you forgot everything you saw that night.
Charlie: I love Viki and I always will, but you and I, there's a connection. There's a bond that we have that I don't have with her. Maybe it's the drinking, that we're both A.A. I mean, you heard talk of my past, of things that I've done that... I have never confessed to Viki. She just wouldn't understand. No. You know, that's not fair because she's a very compassionate woman. Really, it's just that I'd be afraid that she'd think less of me if she heard those stories, but you--you've been there.
Echo: And then some.
Charlie: You don't judge me. You just accept me for what I am, the good and the bad.
Echo: Well, you accept me.
Charlie: I understand you... and I understand Viki. But we're so different. You and me-- when I thought that Rex was mine, that you and I shared a child, that was the happiest I have been since I lost Jared...
Echo: I know.
Charlie: And losing them, ohh-- but just having you close, it was sort of a way to keep that love alive, you know?
Echo: I would've done anything to make sure that Rex and Shane were yours.
Charlie: Yep. I know. Hey, it was Clint. He lied to both of us.
Clint's voice: Charlie needed a son. I gave him one.
Echo's voice: And once Dorian finds out that you somehow managed to fake that DNA test and when Charlie finds out I've been lying to him about Rex, it's gonna kill him.
Charlie: What's wrong?
Nora: You don't want me to remember because you know what I saw.
Clint: That's right.
Nora: Heh. You. That's right. You, and I'm gonna make sure you go to Statesville for a long time.
Bo: All right. Just take it easy, okay? You already passed out. You don't want to go there.
Nora: Whatever it takes.
Bo: Look. We don't need your testimony, all right? We have video footage of him leaving Eddie Ford's room with the murder weapon in his hand. He's got a motive. He wanted Eddie gone. We don't need eyewitness accounts.
Nora: Yes. No. See, juries love an eyewitness, and I'm gonna make sure you go away.
Clint: Nora, I'm warning you, if you remember what you saw in that motel room that night, you'll regret it for the rest of your life.
Nora: I need to go prepare for this arraignment.
Bo: No. It's okay. Honey, listen. I got word to the judge that you fainted, and so he's gonna give us a couple more minutes.
Nora: No, no, no. I'm fine now. I'm charging him with murder one.
Clint: No. You're not.
Nora: I beg your pardon.
Clint: When the judge gets here, you're gonna tell him that you're dropping the charges, and then you're gonna let me go.
Nora: Why on earth would we let you go?
Clint: Because I didn't do it. I don't care how many photographs you have. I didn't shoot Eddie Ford.
Nora: Oh, yeah? Well, then who did, Clint?
Deanna: Thanks for riding to the rescue and for getting my things. I was an idiot. Porn? The whole thing totally creeped me out.
James: Yeah. I could tell.
Deanna: So why are you here? I tried to friend you on MyFace, but you didn't respond. I figured, you know, you didn't want to know me.
James: No. It's just, we're not exactly friends, Deanna.
Deanna: So how did you find me? How did you even know I was in town?
James: The waitress at Buenos Dias cafe saw your photo. Your little request was up on my computer screen. So she told me where you were staying.
Deanna: But why bother? I mean, I know you're with someone, that girl Starr. You guys have a baby.
Deanna: I saw the pictures on your MyFace page, and I went to your apartment, and I heard you singing.
James: You went to my apartment.
Deanna: Some cotton-candy blond answered the door. I heard you singing through the baby monitor.
James: No, Deanna. That's Ryder. That's not my baby. It's my nephew. It's Bobby's kid.
Starr: Jack, if you want me on your side for when Mom finds out, because you know she is going to find out, you have to help me understand why you would do something like this. Look. I know that you're a brat, but you're a good kid. Why would you go after Shane like that?
Jack: I have to get to class.
Starr: No, you don’t. I got you a pass so you could leave school early to go see Dad.
Jack: I have a test.
Starr: You can make that up, Jack!
Jack: It's not like he's gonna notice if I'm late.
Brad: Manning, so what happened? Did wheezy rat us out? Are we in trouble?
Jack: Just me so far.
Brad: All right. You got to see this. Look at wheezy. He's got his hands--
Jack: You better drop that.
Brad: Yeah, on MyFace.
Jack: And when Shane's parents trace it back to you? They're all over this.
Brad: Yeah. That's why we need to get it out there now.
Jack: Just get rid of it.
Brad: Are you kidding? It's hilarious. Just look at him. He's so pathetic. Let me see what you got.
Jack: Just a couple of pictures.
Brad: All right. So let's go. Load them up. Come on. What are you afraid of, wheezy's mom won't serve you breakfast? Just do it. They can't do anything to us. They have zero pull in this town. Come on. Be a Manning. Make your dad proud.
Shane: Charlie is gonna call you back. He just probably didn't get his messages yet.
Viki: I hope you're right. Yeah.
Shane: He won't leave you hanging. He loves you.
Viki: He loves you, too, Shane. Honey, are you okay?
Shane: Yeah. I'm fine.
Viki: All right. Is Echo coming by here? I know she sometimes looks in on you when your mom is at work.
Shane: No, not today. Why? I could call her if you want me to, tell her that you're looking for her.
Viki: No. No. It's okay. I know where to find her. Thanks.
Shane: See you.
Echo: Viki has been accusing me of trying to steal you away from her for months now.
Charlie: You didn't steal me. I fell in love with you.
Echo: Charlie Banks, I've been in love with you from the minute I set eyes on you in Atlantic City.
Jack's voice: Hey, where you going, wheezy?
Boy's voice: Oh! Oh, man, glad I'm not that guy.
Girl's voice: Oh, my God, how embarrassing. He's naked.
Boy's voice: Look at wheezy.
Nora: Come on. Stop playing games. You're the one that shot Eddie Ford.
Clint: I wish I had, but I didn’t. I got there too late.
Nora: Well, then who shot him, Clint?
Clint: I'm warning you, don't ask me again.
Nora: Don't threaten me. If you have information about this case, you are obligated to tell us.
Clint: Just let me go. Bo, you don't want this to come out. The killer is someone you love. The reason she can't remember is that she doesn't want to remember.
Nora: He's saying I did it. He's saying I killed Eddie.
Deanna: So that's Bobby's baby?
James: Yeah. It was kind of a surprise.
Deanna: That blond is not exactly the maternal type, but she does seem like Bobby's.
James: Listen. That girl and Bobby, it's a really long stor--
Deanna: I don't need to know. The point is, you and Starr don't have a kid together.
Deanna: That's good. That's good. I can't imagine having a kid now. I can barely take care of myself.
James: Yeah. I saw that.
Deanna: It is so good to see you.
James: You, too.
Starr: Pick up, James. Oh! Voice mail.
Brad: I swear, this thing could go viral. You think wheezy has seen himself yet?
Gigi: Shane? Honey, are you home?
Rex: We need to talk to you.
Gigi: Maybe he's in the kitchen.
Rex: I'll check his room.
Gigi: Oh, God... Rex?
Brad: Wheezy is gonna die when he sees his bare ass all over the internet.
Rex: "Mom and Dad, I'm sorry."
Gigi: For what? He didn't do anything. It was those horrible kids. "I'm sorry. This isn't your fault. I'm sorry. I love you. Goodbye." Goodbye. Goodbye? Shane. Goodbye? Oh, my God. Oh, my God, Rex! Ah! Ah!
Charlie: As soon as the custody case is settled, I'm gonna tell Viki about us.
Echo: You promise?
Charlie: Yeah. I promise. No more secrets, no more hiding, no more worrying that she's gonna find out the wrong way.
Nora: Is that what you're saying, Clint, that I killed Eddie Ford?
Clint: To make this just go away, all you have to do is drop the charges.
Bo: We can’t. We have evidence.
Clint: You think you do, but you've got nothing.
Nora: Well, we're not dropping the charges, so go ahead and accuse me if that's what this is about. I certainly had motive. Eddie kidnapped me. He assaulted me. I had many reasons to want him dead. Maybe that's why I can't remember anything, because I'm the one that killed Eddie.
Clint: No. It wasn't you, Nora. You didn't kill Eddie Ford.
Nora: Then who did, Clint?
Clint: Your son. Matthew shot Eddie Ford.
Starr: On the next "One Life to Live"...
Clint: I was trying to protect the family.
Gigi: Shane's disappeared
(Shane is standing on a ledge)
