Kelly: Oh, ha ha ha! Well, you wanted something unValentine-like.

John: I'd say we found it.

Kelly: Okay. You really think this is gonna help me forget about Joey, take your mind off of Natalie, the baby you thought was yours?

Brody: That's-- that's my son. In one day, I went from having a son with Jessica to finding out he's not mine and then I learned that I have a son with you.

Natalie: I never meant to hurt anyone. Now John is gone. You're a mess. I can't even imagine how Jessica is dealing with this.

Tess: Stick your tongue back in your head and quit staring at my boobs.

Ford: I wasn't staring at you-- them. I'm just trying to figure out why you’re dressed like that.

Tess: What, hot? This is just how I roll, and right now, I'm ready to party.

Blair: Well, didn't we just say good-bye again?

Tomás: Then I guess this is hello again.

Blair: What brings you to Capricorn?

Tomás: You.

Starr: What are you doing here?

James: I live here.

Starr: No. I meant, what are you doing here now? I thought--

James: What?

Starr: Is Ford around?

James: Why?

Starr: Because he is late for the most important date of Langston’s life.

Dani: Oh, my God, I thought we were never gonna get out of there.

Nate: You turned about 7 shades of red.

Dani: Yeah. I haven't been that embarrassed in a store--I don't know--since my mom dragged me out to buy my first training bra. Okay. Forget I said that. I was just praying that no one I knew would see us buying condoms.

Nate: Okay. So, hey, you're sure your parents aren't coming home tonight?

Dani: Yes. I told you. I called my mom. She said they're spending the night in New York, and I said that we decided to watch a movie, but then I'm staying over at Destiny’s. We have the whole night to ourselves.

Nate: Wow, are you nervous?

Dani: Yes. I don't know. It's not every night a girl has sex for the first time, you know?

Nate: Well, I want to make this special for you.

Dani: This is one Valentine’s Day I'll remember forever.

Todd: Eh, don't worry about it. We'll go to New York another night. Why would I care? You were the one who was complaining about Valentine’s Day. Right. Well, just finish up your client and head home, okay? Yeah. I'm going there now, and Dani is at her friend's, so we'll have the whole house to ourselves.

Blair: First, you show up at my house looking for me. Now you show up at my club?

Tomás: I just wanted a decent glass of wine, hear some good music on my one night in Llanview.

Blair: Oh.

Tomás: Is that a problem?

Blair: No, no. You came to the right place.

Tomás: I thought so. The rather colorful woman who runs the hotel you recommended, she told me you sing here.

Blair: So you met Roxy, and she's right. I do sing here, but not tonight because my piano player did not show up. So the only music you're gonna hear is coming through these little speakers here in the ceiling.

Tomás: Well, then tonight is your lucky night.

Ford: Wait. What's going on? What's wrong with you?

Tess: Well, I'm freezing and thirsty as hell. So I'm gonna go inside for a drink.

Ford: Whoa, hang on a second. You can't drink. Are you kidding? Don't you have hepatitis C?

Tess: Couple of drinks won't kill me.

Ford: Yeah, but aren't you breastfeeding?

Tess: Again with the boobs. What is it with you?

Ford: What's it with you? You're not acting like yourself at all.

James: Bobby didn't blow off his date with Langston. I was here when he left to meet her.

Starr: When, 5 minutes ago?

James: No. Like, an hour ago, at least.

Starr: How could that be? I just left Capricorn. Ford wasn't there. Langston was all alone feeling totally stood up.

James: Well, he definitely didn't stand her up--oh, you know what?--He might've gotten sidetracked with all the stuff that happened.

Starr: What happened?

James: Oh, you weren't at the wedding.

Starr: My cousins' wedding?

James: Yeah. It came out that Jessica's dad messed with the paternity test and that Bobby is the father of Jessica's baby, after all.

Starr: Oh, my God!

James: I know. I can't even believe Bobby is a dad.

Starr: No. I can't believe that Jessica's dad could do something like that to her. That's completely controlling. I know what it's like to have a controlling dad, but--

James: It's weird. I know. I mean, you're just going along, going about your business, and then, bam, something comes and changes your life forever. It's crazy.

Starr: James, this is so huge.

James: Yeah. I know. I'm trying to get used to having a new brother. Now I'm an uncle.

Starr: You're an uncle.

James: I know.

Starr: I know you'll be a great uncle.

James: Thanks, Starr.

Starr: I just hope...

James: Hope what?

Starr: That with everything that's happened, it won't stop two people who are crazy about each other from being together tonight... you know, Langston and Ford.

James: Right, and they're probably together by now, anyway.

Starr: Okay. Well, I should get going. I'll talk to you later.

James: Starr, Starr, wait.

Dani: Um, you want to put on some music? I've got the-- what?

Nate: You are so beautiful.

Dani: Heh.

Todd: Hey, hold on. I'll call you back or something. I got to go. I got another call, but-- yeah. Bye. What? Hey, listen. Don't-- everything is under control. I've told you that a thousand times. Oh, really? Is that a threat? That's good because you don't want to know what happens to people who threaten me.

John: Whiskey?

Kelly: I'm having what you're having.

John: I like it.

Man: Hey-- what? She's hitting on me.

Woman: Hey, you, prom queen.

Kelly: I'm sorry. You talking to me?

Woman: Yeah. Quit making eyes at my man.

Kelly: You can relax there, Kris Kall. I have no interest in your man.

Kris: What, he's not good enough for you?

Kelly: You know what? Maybe that's what I should do--take up with the first person I meet, you know, go completely gaga over him like he did and then get married.

Kris: He's already married.

Kelly: Yeah. Well, he's getting what he deserves.

Man: What is that, an insult?

John: Here you go--one for you, one for me.

Kelly: Ay!

John: Ahh.

Brody: Okay. Thanks.

Natalie: I know you're really worried about Jess.

Brody: Worried? I'm trying not to go into full-on cop mode. I've left her a ton of messages. I haven't heard anything back.

Natalie: She was really upset.

Brody: I know she wanted some time and space to think, but I just want her to come home. We have a lot to talk about. So do we.

Natalie: I'm really sorry, Brody.

Brody: All this time, all this time, you've known that baby was mine.

Natalie: I only knew it when I got the results of the amnio, and I was so shocked at the results that I just convinced myself that it was John's baby, that it had to be.

Brody: And you thought by saying it was John's, you were gonna make it true?

Natalie: I wanted it to be so badly. I woke up every morning hoping and praying this was some horrible mistake.

Brody: And you were just gonna go on that way forever keeping the secret, never telling me that I have a son.

Natalie: Absolutely I was gonna go on forever. I was gonna take this secret to my grave for John and for you and for me and, most especially, Jessica.

Ford: Why are you out clubbing right now? I mean, I get that you're upset about your wedding being ruined and everything, but shouldn't you be home?

Tess: What I do is none of your business.

Ford: Oh, yeah, it is my business, since the two of us have a child together. Yeah. That's right. I know Ryder is our son.

Tess: Except he isn’t.

Dani: Wait, wait. Let's go upstairs.

Todd: Hey, Téa, it's Todd. I figured--what the hell?--I'll put some champagne on ice. Just finish up your client and hurry home. I got your hot valentine's day here.

Dani: Dad! Oh, my God.

Todd: What's going on here?

Starr: What is it?

James: You seemed weird the other day. I just want to make sure you're okay. I was worried about you.

Starr: Well, that's because I just came from seeing Cole.

James: I know. Ford told me.

Starr: Ford told you?

James: Yeah. It totally explained how you were feeling. I mean, I know how hard it is for you when you have to leave Cole.

Starr: James, you don't understand. I--

James: What?

Starr: Never mind. Don't you have a date to get ready for?

James: What date?

Starr: Your Valentine’s Day date with Michelle.

James: Oh, right. Yeah, but, Starr, hey, listen. I want to be honest with you about me and Michelle.

Kelly: Ready?

John: I'm going for another one.

Kelly: Okay. Ha ha ha! Whoa.

Man: So my old lady is in the John. We can talk now.

Kelly: Do I know you?

Man: Well, a minute ago, you said you were gonna spend the rest of your life with me. What'd you say? You said you were gaga over me? Let's get the hell out of here.

John: Why don't you get the hell out of here?

Kelly: John, I got this. I got this one.

John: All right.

Kelly: Yeah.

Kris: Are you kidding me? I turn my back on you for one minute, and you're over here trying to get into this bitch's pants?

Kelly: Oh, "bitch." Okay. Well, you know what? This bitch has some advice for you. You need to drop this loser like a bad habit.

Man: What?

Kelly: Yep. See, you got to understand when he's just not that into you.

Man: Don't listen to her, baby.

Kris: Who the hell do you think you are?

Man: What's your problem?

Kelly: Hey, you know what? Leave him alone. He has nothing to do with this.

Man: Hey, I'm talking to you.

John: Jack, hit me again.

Brody: I held your hand when you had the amnio test, and that baby we saw on the monitor, that was my child.

Natalie: I never planned this.

Brody: Nobody planned anything. It was a one-night stand.

Natalie: No. I meant that I never planned on lying to you or to anyone. When I got the results, I didn't know what I was gonna say, how I was gonna handle it, and then I came home, and you had just gotten your own results with Jessica, and you were so happy, and then you asked me what my results said, and I knew what you wanted to hear. I mean, you should've seen the look on your face. It was like you were begging me to not ruin everything with you and Jessica, and so--I don't know-- before I could stop myself, the words just came flying out of my mouth that the baby was John's, and you were relieved. It was exactly what you wanted to hear, and you were happy because Jessica was carrying your baby.

Brody: But she wasn’t.

Natalie: Brody, Ryder is your son. John might not think that Liam is his, but Ryder is your son. He is the baby that you and Jessica were meant to have, and it doesn't matter what the paternity test says.

Ford: Look. I saw Brody, and I know that he thinks he's the father of this child, but you and I, we created this baby.

Tess: Oh, barf. I thought you smelled familiar. What is that, eau de cheeseball that you're wearing?

Ford: Excuse me?

Tess: No. There's no excuse for you. You're the coward Robert Ford, Jessica's baby daddy.

Ford: Je-- since when do you refer to yourself in the third person, Jess?

Tess: Don't worry your pretty, little head about it, okay? Just get out of my way. I need to have a drink.

Ford: No. Come on, Jessica. Talk to me.

Tess: Are you really that thick?

Ford: No, but you're nothing like the Jessica that I know. Wait a second. Wait, wait, wait. Are you 17 again?

Tess: Oh, yeah. You'd like that, wouldn't you, but I'm not, okay? I'm all woman, let me assure you, and the name is not Jessica. It's Tess.

Dani: Uh, Dad, I can explain.

Todd: Put your clothes on. Can I talk to you in private?

Dani: No. This was not Nate's idea, Dad. This was mine.

Nate: No. It was my idea.

Dani: Nate, shut up. Nothing happened.

Todd: Put your clothes on, Dani. You, too. Put your shirt on.

Dani: What are you gonna do?

Todd: Just leave us alone.

Dani: No.

Nate: Dani, it's okay. Just leave.

Nate: Mr. Manning, you have to know that I love your daughter.

Todd: Shut up.

Dani: Oh...

Nate: So you gonna do to me what you did to Cole when you caught him with Starr? I mean, that's how this started, too, right?

Todd: Do you know how it ended?

Starr: James, you don't own me any explanations. You already told me that you moved on.

James: No. Wait, wait Starr. That thing with Michelle, it's--

[Cell phone rings]

Starr: Hey, Dani.

Dani: Oh, my God, oh, my God, oh, my God!

Starr: What's wrong?

Dani: Starr, I don't know what to do. You have to get here right now.

Starr: Okay. Calm down. What's going on?

Dani: Dad caught me and Nate together. We were about to have sex, and--

Starr: He what? Oh, my God. Is Nate okay?

Dani: I don't know. Dad said he wanted to talk to him alone. I'm scared of what he's gonna do.

Starr: Okay. Don't you worry about it. I will be right there.

James: Well, what happened?

Starr: I have to go to my dad's house right now. My dad caught Nate and Dani.

James: Oh, my God. Okay. I'm coming with you.

Tomás: I happen to play the piano.

Blair: Ha ha! You just happen to have an appointment in New York. You happen to stop off here in Llanview to see me on your way there.

Tomás: And you just happen to have a bottle of wine I served you in Paris. As I said, I play, and I'm good.

Blair: Well, let me see what you got.

[Tomás plays "Chopsticks"]

Blair: I don't think that there are any lyrics to that song.

[Playing chords]

Blair: Well, somebody obviously upped the ante on me here.

Tomás: I get the gig?

Blair: Well, that all depends.

Tomás: On what?

Blair: How much it's gonna cost me.

Tomás: How about if I play for a glass of wine with the boss?

Blair: I think I can handle that. How about you look over my music, and I'll be back?

Blair: Well, Langston, you have been nursing that soda all night long. Where's Ford, huh?

Langston: He's coming.

Blair: You sure?

Langston: Of course I'm sure. How can you ask me that?

Blair: Well, Ford is Ford.

Langston: No, he's not. He's not that Ford, not anymore. Starr went to go find him, and I'm sure he'll be here soon. It's a special night for us.

Blair: Special as prom night, when he invited you over and you found him in bed with another girl?

Langston: He's not with another girl, Blair. No matter what you think, not every guy is out to hurt us.

Blair: I hope you're right.

Ford: Wait. Wait a second. Tess? What is that, one of her--

Tess: Alter egos. Yes. I'm the best and the brightest, and I assure you, every bit of me is real, even the boobs you were so fascinated with before.

Ford: I remember reading something about that in the tabloids a while back. Was it Natalie Banks? You locked her and her husband up and then tried to blow them up or something?

Tess: Yeah. That was good times. Almost got away with it, too, but those two, they deserved it for what they did to the man that I loved. Anyways, that was then. Natalie is nothing to worry about now. Actually, if it weren't for her and that bonehead Brody, I wouldn't even be here.

Natalie: I know that Jessica thinks that I just did this because I'm selfish, but I swear, I wasn't just thinking of me. I didn't want to destroy the happiness that you and Jess had. And John, he was so invested in this child, and--I don't know-- I just thought I could give him this gift, you know, show him something that could bring him more happiness than he ever thought he could have.

Kelly: Wow, that's a lot of ink.

Kris: I told you to get your eyes off my man.

Man: Give it a rest, Kris.

Kelly: Okay. You should really not let him talk to you like that. Your boyfriend clearly has no respect for women.

Man: You want to shut that mouth of yours up before I have to shut it up?

Kelly: Before you what?

Man: Hey, you ought to keep your old lady in line.

Kelly: I am not a trained dog.

Man: What the hell kind of man are you, anyway, letting this woman run the whole show, huh? No wonder she wants to cheat on you with another dude. She's probably done it before when you're back was turned, huh, or maybe she did it right in front of your face.

John: Jack, you got a bar towel? Thanks, man.

Kris: Aah! Oh...

Natalie: I don't know. I don't know what I would've done if I had known that Jessica's baby was Ford’s. I don't know. I don't know if I would've lied, but I did, and it seems now that I've hurt everyone I was trying to protect. So I don't blame you for hating me.

Brody: I don't hate you, Natalie.

Ford: So Jessica is--

Tess: Gone, baby, gone. Things got too much for her, so I came out to play.

Ford: Play what?

Tess: Whatever I want to, sweetheart. This sky is the limit with me, and this time, nothing is gonna stop me.

Ford: Oh, yeah? What about me?

Natalie: You really don't hate me?

Brody: I'm just as responsible as you are for what happened between us.

Natalie: I'm the one who kept the truth from everyone about the baby.

Brody: I understand why.

Natalie: You do?

Brody: You were right. When I think back to the day when we all got our paternity test results and I asked you about yours, there was only one answer I wanted to hear, that John was your baby's father, not me. Any other answer would've blown up all of our lives. I knew I could lose Jessica and you could lose John and Jessica would disown her own sister, and now that I think about it, I don't know what I would've done with the truth, either. Listen. I'm not thrilled with you for lying to me, but I get why you did it.

Natalie: I think you're the only one who does. God, Brody, what have I done?

Man: Oh, you're crazy, man.

John: I am tonight, so I suggest you and your girlfriend get the hell out of here before we find out just how crazy I am.

Man: All right, all right. You win. Fancy pants is right. Let's just get the hell out of here.

Kelly: Awfully sorry about mouthing off with those guys. Just, some of the stuff they were saying, it just reminded me of my relationship with Joey. What doesn't remind me of my relationship with Joey, or my non-relationship, as the case may be. We're quite a pair, aren't we? I got rejected, and you were betrayed. John, how are we supposed to get past what we've been through? How can we make it stop hurting?

John: Bartender, we'll have two more.

Dani: Starr, thank God you're here. Thank God.

Todd: You think you can come into my house and take advantage of my daughter like that?

Nate: No. I--okay, okay.

Todd: I can have you arrested for statutory rape.

Starr: Dad! Stop! Don't make the same mistake that you made with me. Don't!

Blair: Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone.

[Piano playing]

Blair: The last ones to notice to focus to understand these things that it seems that everybody knows and everybody seems to see the trace of the magic that's trapped in every little glance we exchange been here so long why do we fight it? I'm begging you to risk all this to lose all we know and find what's meant to be if there's another way around this then we don't have to be the last to know oh, baby, find a way together, baby in a dream of our own

Ford: I'm not gonna let the mother of my child run around acting like a stupid lunatic.

Tess: Correction--Jessica is the lunatic and the mother. I'm just here to have fun.

Ford: I'm taking you home. Let's go.

Tess: Take your hands off of me!

Ford: Look. I'm not in the mood for your drama, okay? Langston is inside, and she's waiting for me.

Tess: Oh, your little teen queen. That's what you're into, right, seducing young girls. You were only interested in Jessica when she thought that she was 17. It's easier to get them into bed, right? Talk about chamber of horrors. No wonder she came screaming for me.

Ford: Wait. What are you talking about?

Tess: Why do you think that she didn't remember whether you had sex or not? Because it was me.

Ford: You're lying.

Tess: I wish I was. I was locked up for a year and a half to wake up with this waxed gorilla on top of me. It was the worst 30 seconds of my life.

Ford: I think it was a little longer than 30 seconds.

Tess: Emphasis on "little."

Ford: That's it. I'm calling your family.

Tess: Ah, I wouldn't make that call, not if you ever want to see your kid again.

Blair: In a dream of our own if there's another way around this then we don't have to be the last to know oh, baby, find a way together, baby in a dream of our own in a dream of our own in a dream of our own

Tess: Exposing me would be a big mistake.

Ford: You think I'm gonna listen to you? You're off your rocker.

Tess: I know, and they're gonna ship me off to the loony bin, and where is that gonna leave you?

Ford: On my date with Langston.

Tess: What about when you want to see your son?

Ford: What about it?

Tess: Well, I'm the only one that's gonna let you.

Ford: Yeah? Well, I've seen him.

Tess: How did that go for you, hmm?

Ford: It got ugly.

Tess: Hmm, Clint throw you out?

Ford: Brody.

Tess: Oh, Brody. Yes. Well, I hope you got a really good, long look because that's the last time you're ever gonna see him.

Ford: I'm the biological father. I've got rights.

Tess: Do you think the Buchanans give a rat's ass about your rights? They own half this town. They can hire the best lawyers in the world. Look at the lengths that Clint went to to make sure that you didn't even find out whether this kid was yours, okay? Their team of sharks are gonna make you look like a deadbeat pedophile, which--to be honest, sweetie--isn't that far from the truth, and that's gonna be all she wrote.

Ford: All right. Well, then I'll get my own lawyer.

Tess: Aww, with what money, sweetie? Face it. You need me. Now be a good boy and put your phone away.

Blair: Okay. So tell me where in the world did you learn to play the piano like that?

Tomás: Juilliard.

Blair: Only the most prestigious music school in the whole country, huh?

Tomás: Music was my passion.

Blair: Along with art, wine, and foreign languages. Now, have I left anything out at all?

Tomás: Believe me, there's a lot of things I don't know.

Blair: Hmm.

Tomás: What about you? Where did you learn to sing?

Blair: Oh, very prestigious school--I'm sure you've heard of it--the shower.

Tomás: Self-taught?

Blair: Yeah. I just got to sing from the heart and go where it leads me. I don't know. I might have to rethink that policy now that I've heard you play.

Tomás: Oh, no, no. Don't ever stop following your heart. It's the mind that gets us in trouble.

Blair: You speaking from experience?

Tomás: All I know is, you can tell yourself all the lies you want. The heart is always honest.

Todd: Now get the hell out of here.

Starr: No, Dad. You let this go. Let him go now.

Dani: Dad, nothing happened.

James: Mr. Manning, get off of him. Nate is a good kid. He would never do anything--

Todd: Never do what, huh...

Starr: Stop.

Todd: Never steal from me, never get me accused of murder?

Starr: Hey, that is not the point. The mistake I made with Cole, I made because of you, because you were against our relationship, and I will never regret having Hope, but you drove me to do something that I was not ready to do because you are out of control and irrational and completely overprotective. You made me make decisions that I was not ready to make, and now I am alone and miserable. Is that what you want for your other daughter?

Nate: Mr. Manning, I respect--

James: Be quiet, Nate. You've done enough already.

Todd: Get the hell out of here.

James: Come on. Let's go.

Dani: Hey, Nate, I'm so sorry.

Nate: Don’t. It's not your fault.

James: Come on before Mr. Manning changes his mind.

Dani: How could you do this to me?

Starr: It's okay. It's okay. It's gonna be all right.

Brody: We'll find our way to it, one way or another, okay?

[Liam crying]

Brody: It's okay. I'll get it. Hey, hey. Hello. Hey.

[Liam stops crying]

Brody: Hey. I remember holding him at the hospital and Roxy thought he was mine.

Natalie: And my heart stopped in that moment.

Brody: Hey, hey, hey, beautiful boy. What are we gonna do about this? Ryder is not mine. Liam is. What's John gonna do about this and Jessica? Will she ever be able to accept this?

Natalie: You know what? I... think I should take Liam upstairs.

Brody: Okay.

Natalie: Come here, baby. Come here. Oh, goodness.

Brody: Good night, little man. Okay.

Tess: I probably didn't think this whole thing through too well. I probably shouldn't have come to a place where people know Jessica or me, but running into you has given me an idea of how I can make this work for both of us.

Ford: Oh, yeah? How's that going?

Tess: You get to see your son. Just got to play by my rules.

[Cell phone rings]

Ford: It's Langston. I have to take this. This is an important night for both of us, okay?

Tess: Oh, more important than your baby? Get rid of her, and if you tell her about me, I promise you, you will never see your child again.

Ford: Hello?

Langston: Finally. Where are you?

Ford: I'm sorry. I got hung up, and I'll explain everything.

Langston: Well, are you coming or not?

Tess: Hello? I'm waiting?

Langston: Are you with someone?

Ford: No. No. Sorry, Langston. I think you have a bad connection, but I'll see you later, okay? All right. Now tell me, how am I gonna get to see my son?

Tess: Come with me. I'll explain on the way.

Blair: You know I'm gonna fire that piano player. Didn't show up. You should stick around. You are leaving tomorrow, right?

Tomás: In the morning. Yeah. Guess I better be going.

Blair: Yeah. I've got a bunch of stuff to be doing here, too.

Starr: Well, thank you for staying calm and not letting things get too out of hand.

Todd: No. There's no reason for things to get out of hand since Danielle is never going to see Nate again, and that is not a suggestion. That's an order.

Dani: An order. An order? What, is he serious? No. No. I'm not gonna let him get away with this.

Starr: Well, I don't know how you're gonna stop him.

James: You really thought having sex in Dani's living room was a good idea?

Nate: I told you, her dad was supposed to be in New York the whole night.

James: Well, clearly he wasn't, Nate. All right. Just listen to me for a second, all right?

Nate: What?

James: You need to steer clear of Todd Manning. Just don't go anywhere near him.

Nate: Todd Manning can't keep me and Dani apart. I won't let him.

James: Okay. Okay. All right. Maybe you're right. I mean, he did make their lives a living hell, but he couldn't keep Starr and Cole apart.

Dani: If two people are meant to be together, nothing can keep them apart.

Ford: I can't go anywhere with you. Langston is waiting for me.

[Cell phone rings]

Tess: Ohh! Brody. Do you want to see your child again, or not?

Brody: Jess, just call me, okay? I'm worried about you.

Natalie: John, come on. Pick up. Pick—

[Cell phone rings]

Kelly: Natalie?

[Door slams]

Kelly: Oh, no.

John: Yeah. I don't want to talk to her.

Kelly: No. I mean, oh, no.

Natalie: John is not picking up.

Brody: Jessica isn't, either.

Tess: I know how to get what we both need from the Buchanan family. So what's it gonna be, daddy? You coming with me?

Ford: Where?

Tess: I'll explain on the way.

Langston: Ford?
