Natalie: Did you ever imagine that we'd be this happy?
John: With you? Never.
Natalie: Admit it. You're just as happy as I am.
John: Yeah, I am. Getting married. Starting a life with our son.
Marty: Only he's not your son. He's Brody Lovett's. I told you I'd tell the truth to John someday.
Jessica: That's the last time I'll make love as a single woman.
Ford: So, you think we made a baby?
Natalie: I had a nightmare.
Jessica: Me, too. It was about Robert Ford.
Langston: Why'd you highlight the ad for the car rental place?
Ford: Because there aren't a lot of listings for filmmakers or fired teachers.
Langston: James, you should call the car rental place.
Ford: Forget it. The job's already been filled. Besides, James isn't interested in finding a job. He's only got one thing on his mind--Starr.
[Knocks on door]
Starr: I'm sorry. I thought this was John's room.
Brody: It is. No, no, it's not what you think. We're getting married.
Brody: To Jessica and Natalie, not to each other. I gave him my room a while back. John said I could bunk in with him last night. It's bad luck to see the bride the day of the wedding.
Starr: Yeah. I get it. Today is an important day.
Joey: Kelly. Kelly.
Kelly: I'm sorry. When did we fall asleep?
Joey: Well, probably sometime after we started banging on the door and shouting for help and cursing the fact that you left your cell phone in your purse.
Kelly: Okay, but you left your phone in your coat pocket. Don't blame me.
Joey: I'm not blaming you.
Joey: All right?
Kelly: So help me get out of here.
Joey: Oh... you know, my sisters are getting married today. I've been AWOL for 12 hours. Oh, Aubrey's probably worried sick.
Aubrey: Joey, where are you? Call me as soon as you get this. I'm worried.
[Knock on door]
Aubrey: Joey? Oh.
Cutter: Don't look so happy to see me.
Aubrey: I can't find Joey. He never showed up last night. I've left him a ton of messages.
Cutter: He probably went somewhere after the party to crash someplace else.
Aubrey: Or Clint threw him in the back of a jet and flew him off to Abu Dhabi to get even with me for blackmailing him.
Cutter: Yeah. That makes sense.
Aubrey: He told me he was going to get even. It's only a matter of time before he tries something.
Clint: Those cameras that you hid in Aubrey Wentworth's hotel, they've been running for how long?
Mark: It's just over a day.
Clint: Okay, that should be long enough to catch the gold digging little tramp doing something that she shouldn't be doing. Ah, what a perfect day. I'm stopping one wedding and celebrating two others.
Natalie: I dreamt about Marty.
Jessica: It's okay. It's okay. We're just having butterflies. You know...whew, I dreamt about Robert Ford. He was going to be problem for Brody, even though Brody kept on telling me that he wasn't. But it's okay. It's okay because the paternity test proved that the right man is Ryder's father. And we're getting married. And so are you.
Jessica: There is no way Marty's stopping this wedding.
John: Hey. What's going on, Starr?
Starr: I just wanted to tell you, I went to see Marty.
James: I'm not thinking about Starr. That's over. I've moved on.
Langston: Mm-hmm. What's this then? Hmm.
James: The bullet that almost killed me, and it reminds me that I'm a survivor.
Ford: Langston is right, dude. Now that you lost that study grant, you need to be looking for a job.
James: Yeah? Maybe not. 'Cause Michelle found out that I can ask for a hearing--to challenge the administration's decision to pull my grant. So there you go.
Ford: Michelle? Which one is that again?
Langston: Oh, that's the girl he's dating. So how serious are you guys, hmm?
Starr: So Cole asked me to, you know, look in on his mom.
John: How's Cole doing?
Starr: Better. Um, I talked to him on the phone yesterday. Anyway, I brought Hope over to St. Ann's.
John: You took Hope?
Starr: Well, she stayed in the playroom at first, until I knew it was safe for her to see Marty. Marty's, um...she's really confused. She was acting like this doll that she had was her baby and that you were the father.
John: She was up at the lodge when Natalie gave birth and I don't know what happened, but it's like she just...she just snapped. You know, she thought the baby was hers and she had no memory of the miscarriage.
Starr: No, but that's just it--she does. When I brought Hope in to see her, something in her must have clicked. She knew who Hope was, that she was her granddaughter, and she remembered that Cole was in prison, and that she fell down the stairs and that's why she lost her baby. She even remembered that Natalie was the one that had her baby at the lodge. The only thing she didn't seem to remember was that the baby was yours. But I think it's only a matter of time until she remembers everything else.
Jessica: You know, I don't blame you for having a nightmare about Marty. She dragged you up to the lodge, she tried to kidnap Liam.
Natalie: You know what? I don't want to think about Marty.
Jessica: You're right. You're right--she's in St. Ann's. She's not going to be a problem today. I'm so happy we get to do this together. You know, after all that we've been through, it's--
Natalie: Okay. Stop. Stop, stop. You're going to make me cry and can't have puffy eyes on the wedding day. Mom would kill me.
Jessica: She has been a little anxious about pulling this whole thing off.
Jessica: But I can't really blame her. It's been short notice.
Natalie: Yeah, well, I'm just glad that Dad didn't freak on John and Brody the way he did Aubrey.
Jessica: Oh...I can't believe he was actually going to disinherit Joey.
Natalie: I know, but at least he came around. Looks like Aubrey's going to be a part of the family, after all.
Aubrey: Clint warned me that he'd make me pay.
Cutter: By sending his son to Abu Dhabi? I doubt it.
Aubrey: Well, then where is he?
Cutter: You're really worried about him?
Aubrey: We're scamming the guy, Cutter, and his father knows. What if he told Joey that I blackmailed him, or that we're not brother and sister?
Cutter: So you're worried about you and me?
Aubrey: What else?
Cutter: Maybe that Joey's with Kelly?
Joey: A can opener. What are you going to do, can-open your way out of here?
Kelly: I don't know about you, but I'm starving.
Joey: Oh, yes. I knew there was a reason we'd get locked in here together. Do they have any pretzels?
Kelly: No, sorry.
Kelly: Do you know what? It's very weird.
Kelly: Well, Vivian sent me in here to look for some reception stuff, but I tell you, I don't see one box marked "wedding."
Joey: Hmm. How about champagne?
Kelly: Don't you think it's a little early?
Joey: No, not for me. Shaun had me come in here and help him find a special case of champagne that John had set aside and then he had to run.
Kelly: Vivian got called away and said that one of her patients was going into labor and then...we got locked in here.
Joey: Wait, so you think they set us up? You honestly think they lured us here and locked us in?
Joey: All right, why?
Kelly: So they could get us alone together.
Kelly: Um, you know, I had a long talk with Vivian last night at the party. And, you know, it's not like we're best friends, but she was my doctor. Kind of poured out my heart to her.
Joey: Yeah. You know, I actually had a long talk with Shaun. Basically, we had just met. You know, it's funny how that works. How sometimes it's easier to say those things to--to people you don't really know.
Kelly: Except the thing is, you're the one I should be talking to.
Kelly: Yeah, and I've been trying, you know, but...when you first got back to Llanview and we had that almost-talk.
Joey: Oh, yeah. Yeah.
Kelly: Vivian said I should just, you know, tell you, but what's the point? It's too late, right? I probably shouldn't even be bringing it up. Only...I spent the night on your shoulder and I--I--I'm tired and I smell like your cologne, so, you know, what the hell? Joey, um, I have something really important to tell you and...
Joey: Oh, my God. Peanuts? I can't take you anywhere, can I? Come here, come here. One, two, three! You okay?
Kelly: I got it.
Joey: All right.
Kelly: Okay, I don't want to do this anymore, okay?
Joey: Yeah. No...you're not kidding. All right, no more small food for you now, so--
Kelly: I'm not talking about peanuts, I'm not talking about lemons, and I'm not talking about olives, okay? Joey, I--I have...to tell you the truth.
Cutter: Huh. That's funny. I can't reach Kelly, either.
Aubrey: That doesn't mean they're together. Why would they be together? Joey's in love with me.
Cutter: You sound pretty sure about that.
Aubrey: He better be if you want your share of the deal.
Cutter: That's why I'm dating Kelly--insurance.
Aubrey: Oh, please. Don't act like it's some hardship.
Cutter: Right. And you're pulling hazard pay dating the shutterbug. You know, if you think about it, that's probably where he is.
Aubrey: What do you mean?
Cutter: Taking pictures. I mean, it is both of his sisters' weddings today.
Aubrey: Oh, you're right. Why didn't I think of that?
Cutter: Now I get a kiss? What about last night?
Aubrey: I thought Joey was on his way.
Cutter: You still owe me, big-time. I snagged that yearbook, switched the picture.
Aubrey: What about Kelly? Doesn't she kiss you?
Cutter: Not like you.
Cutter: Come here.
Clint: Go back to Aubrey's hotel room and pick up the footage. I got a feeling that we just hit pay dirt.
Clint: You know, Mr. Blue, if you pull this off, there's a bonus in it for you. Just like there was when you took care of that Ford kid who hurt my Jessie.
James: Me and Michelle are no big deal.
Langston: Oh, but you're going together to her sorority's Valentine’s Day party.
James: How do you know that?
Langston: I was at the gym when she asked you.
James: Well, she's in charge of it and she needed a date, so...
Ford: Hey, Langston, I thought you were helping me look for a job.
Langston: So you're not serious about her then, hmm? Oh, look. Rodi's is hiring.
Starr: But I think it's a really good sign that Marty remembered as much as she did.
John: Me, too. I appreciate you letting me know.
Starr: Of course. I'm sorry, um, I'm--I'm going to Statesville this afternoon to see Cole. It's my one day this month where I can visit him, so unfortunately, I won't be at your wedding. But congratulations. And to you, too, Brody.
Brody: Thanks, Starr.
John: Thanks. Who wants to see a wedding, anyway? Listen, tell Cole I'll be by to see him next week, okay?
Starr: Okay. Thank you for being such a good friend to him.
John: You take care of yourself.
Brody: Sounds like Marty might just come through this.
John: Yeah. With a little luck, everything she's forgotten will come back to her.
Natalie's voice: She's watching us.
Brody's voice: What?
Natalie's voice: She suspects something about the baby.
Brody's voice: No.
Natalie's voice: She told me that she saw something between us.
Brody: Yeah, that would be great.
[Second phone rings]
Brody: You, too. Hey, you.
Jessica: I miss you.
Brody: You know, me, too, but I thought this was against the rules.
John: Hey, I hate to admit this, but I think I missed you last night.
John: Yeah, and Brody snores.
Brody: I thought this was bad luck.
Jessica: To see the bride, not to talk to her.
Brody: Well, I just don't want anything going wrong.
Jessica: And since we both saw what Marty did to Natalie's wedding, I understand. But what could go wrong?
John: Oh, so you're telling me this is why you wanted to get married? So you can see me in a tux?
Natalie: You make my heart melt, you curl my toes, and you make me believe that anything's possible. I'll see you at the church.
John: I'll see you when I see you.
Brody: I love you.
Brody: What's wrong?
John: Hmm? You know, I just don't like having this secret on my wedding day.
Brody: What secret?
John: The girls don't know that their father's a murder suspect, and they're not going to be too happy when they find out.
Ford: I'm going to go talk to the manager and see if they're hiring.
Langston: Okay. Good luck.
Langston: Hey, I got your message. What's going on?
Starr: I went to see Marty.
Langston: Did you tell your dad? Well, I'm just saying...
Starr: He was wrong. I should have never have kept that restraining order.
Langston: Yeah, well, it's not your fault that Marty lost her memory.
Starr: Well, that's the thing. Actually, I brought Hope to see Marty. And when she saw her, it sort of helped her remember.
Langston: Well, that's good.
Starr: Well, seeing Marty with Hope, it just... it made me realize that I'm not the only person Cole has, you know? He has his mom when she gets better, and even if she doesn't, he has his daughter. And when he gets out of prison, you know, he'll have a relationship with her and I'll make sure of that.
Langston: Where are you going with this?
Starr: I'm starting to wonder if maybe Cole was right. Maybe I shouldn't put my life on hold for 10 years.
Langston: Starr, are you saying you're going to break up with Cole?
Starr: Oh, never mind.
Langston: No, hold on. Starr, wait.
James: Hey, Michelle. I thought wasn't seeing you till later.
Michelle: Is it okay? I needed to talk to you.
James: Yeah, it's fine. Come on in. My brother's out looking for a job, so... what's up?
Michelle: Um, I spoke to my academic advisor. He's the head of the pre-law division.
James: Oh, the one that you were going to ask about my hearing, right?
Michelle: Yeah. And I told him that the grant was taken away without any warning and I showed him that section in the handbook about students being entitled to a hearing.
Michelle: He wanted to know why the grant was rescinded so abruptly.
Clint: I don't recall inviting you--
Ford: You set me up. You planted that money in my office and you tried to pin my father's murder on me so that I wouldn't go to your brother--who happens to be the commissioner--and tell him that you hired two goons to beat me up. Well, guess what. It didn't work. Now, I was willing to take that beating because of what happened between me and Jessica, but there's no way--there's no way I'm going to jail for a crime I did not commit. Now the police know everything.
Clint: And yet, here I am. My brother had a few questions for me, but he couldn't prove a damn thing. So, I'm still free and I'm still rich, and you and your brother are poor and friendless.
Ford: Wha--what kind of a man are you?
Clint: A very powerful one. You should have learned that by now. Don't mess with me or my family. If you do, you'll regret it.
Cutter: I got to hand it to that Clint Buchanan. Figuring out a way to change both his son's and daughter's paternity test. The guy's good.
Aubrey: I'm better.
Cutter: Yeah, you are. And you look better in a dress. Even better out of one.
Aubrey: No, no, no--careful. Joey could still show up any minute. We don't want to screw things up now.
Aubrey: Not when we've finally solved all our problems.
Joey: I'm almost afraid to ask.
Kelly: Okay, and I'm definitely afraid to tell you. Because obviously if I don't, I will choke or go blind, so... the olive was try number one. And the lemon in my eye was number two.
Kelly: Right? And now the peanuts--the peanuts, that's--
Joey: That's three?
Kelly: Yeah, so maybe the third time was a charm, so here it goes. Um...Joey...
Kelly: The truth is, I--I... I've never gotten over you.
Natalie: I know with the "something old," I know that it's supposed to be kind of like family history, but Roxy wasn't really great with the keepsakes, so anyway... this ribbon here, that's what she used to put in my hair when I wanted to play princess, and she said that I'd be a princess someday, and I kind of feel like one today, like I'm gonna ride off into the sunset with my lieutenant charming.
Natalie: And this one here is new. See the date? I embroidered that myself. Yes, I still have the holes in my fingers to prove it. Ha ha! I know. And this one here is from Bree. She said that you could borrow it on your wedding day. And this blue one here is from Ryder's christening blanket. So, honey, you just pin this little mess in your dress and you'll have everyone that you love close to your heart.
Jessica: I love you, Natalie.
Natalie: I love you.
John: Hey, I'm no expert, but I think the best man's supposed to hold the rings.
Brody: Since I'm your best man and you're mine...
Brody: Hard to believe, huh?
John: What? Us both getting married? Yeah. Hey, look...I appreciate you standing up for me, Brody.
Brody: Hey, it's mutual.
John: I know we work together, but I also consider you a friend.
Brody: Like we said at the station, I feel the same.
John: What? What's that?
Brody: The flowers.
John: Wouldn't those be at the church already?
Brody: No, no, the ones for us. The--what do you call it? The--
Brody: Boutonnieres. Yeah. I gotta pick those up.
John: Just call and have them delivered.
Brody: I need some air. I'll pick them up.
John: You're not getting cold feet, are you?
Brody: No way. I can't wait to marry that girl. But if we don't have those boutonnieres, there'll be hell to pay. I'll see you at the church.
John: I'll see you.
Kelly: Say something.
Kelly: Wow? That's it?
Joey: Yeah. No, I mean, I--ha! Kelly, I knew there was something going on with you. How long have you known this?
Kelly: Since I kissed Rex Balsom.
Joey: You? You kissed Rex Balsom?
Kelly: It was an experiment that failed, okay, but it taught me something. You're the one I want to kiss. So I took the first flight to London, only you were on your way back here.
Joey: Wait, wait. The whole thing with Kevin?
Kelly: Was a lie. You had just proposed to Aubrey--after I thought you were proposing to me. And I just felt so humiliated. I had to say something. I'm sorry. It was dumb. I guess...I guess I tried to convince myself that you felt something, too. When you saved me from the olive? And that time at the gym? But you were just doing the right thing. Or it was the pheromones from working out. Ha ha! Right? You know, when you found me at Cutter's, I--I don't know. I actually thought that you were jealous.
Joey: I was jealous.
Aubrey: Ugh. Still no word from Joey. Why hasn't he called me? I don't get it. And where is Kelly?
Cutter: You want me to go to my room and see if she left me a message?
Aubrey: Yes. Would you?
Aubrey: Thank you.
Cutter: No. Nothing. Open.
Aubrey: Joey, it's me again. Sorry. I know you're probably busy with wedding stuff but will you call me when you get this? Thanks.
[Knocking on door]
Aubrey: Back already?
Mr. Blue: Good morning, ma'am. I've got to adjust those thermostats we installed the other day.
Aubrey: I thought they were brand-new.
Mr. Blue: Well, which is why we have to adjust them.
Aubrey: Oh. Sure. Be my guest.
Clint: This conversation is over.
Ford: You know what? I feel sorry for you.
Starr: I can't break up with Cole. I love him.
Langston: Okay, I know that, but that doesn't mean you have to sacrifice your entire life for him.
Starr: Isn't that completely selfish of me? If he were in the army, I would wait for him then, right?
Langston: Okay, but usually, soldiers aren't gone for 10 years. And besides, he's not in the army. He's in prison for shooting a man. Starr, look, I know that he wasn't thinking and he was just in this rage because he thought that you and Hope were dead, but none of that would've happened if he had put his faith in you instead of some crazy girl. And that happened for a reason. I mean, truth is, you and Cole were almost broken up before that happened.
Starr: That's a little harsh, don't you think?
Langston: No, it's honest. You've been miserable for months.
James: I thought that I showed you the letter from the school. It said that they canceled the grant because of economic considerations, so--
Michelle: Yeah, that's what I told my advisor, but apparently, it doesn't matter why they rescinded the grant. Your case falls outside the parameters, which means you're not eligible for a hearing. I'm really sorry. I shouldn't have gotten your hopes up. I guess being pre-law doesn't make me a lawyer.
James: It's okay. I really appreciate you trying to help.
Michelle: I just wish there was something I could do. Was that a mistake?
Starr: You're right. I'm not happy. I haven't been for a while.
Langston: Well, okay, look. Cole told you not to wait for him, and you were so ready to move on before this whole thing happened with Marty.
Starr: I'm worried about Hope.
Langston: Cole is always gonna be her father. Nothing's ever gonna change that. And you'll still take her to see him and call him and all that, but this way she has a chance at a normal life. What's it gonna be like for her when she goes to school?
Starr: I know exactly what it's going to be like--my dad was in prison for a long time, remember? It sucks.
Langston: Right, so at least if you're happy, you can help her get through that. And if you get into a relationship with someone, you'll have someone there that can help you take her to school and to her soccer practices and concerts. Whatever she needs.
Starr: You're right.
Langston: Yeah. People split up all the time, not just because of jail. Look at your parents. And they're better off, and you'll be better off, too. Come on, you're crazy about Téa and Dani. So try thinking about this as a good thing and stop beating yourself up just because you have feelings for James.
Starr: You're right. I do like him. Not that I really know where it's going.
Langston: Well, you're never gonna find out if you don't give it a shot.
Starr: You're right. I'm gonna go see Cole today. I'm going to tell him the good news about his mom and then I'm going to tell him about James.
Natalie: What are you doing here? Jessica's--she's just down the hall. You can't see her on the wedding day.
Brody: I know. I know. I waited till I saw her leave. I'm here to see you. We have a problem. Marty Saybrooke's getting better.
Starr: Even if I did wait for Cole, there's no guarantee that we would make it. I mean, that's 10 years. I'll have graduated college. I could've got my PhD.
Langston: You're both gonna change.
Starr: Okay. So I have to be honest with him. Right? I mean, I want to be fair.
Langston: Right. So when are you going to Statesville?
Langston: Okay. I'm coming with you.
Starr: You will?
Langston: You have to ask? Come on. It's the right thing to do.
Starr: Even if James has moved on.
Langston: Well, he's trying, but it's not happening.
Starr: He's with Michelle.
Langston: Oh, come on. They're just friends. He told me so himself this morning.
Langston: Yeah. So he's all yours. If you want him.
Michelle: It's because of Starr, isn't it? I know you've both said there's nothing going on, but I've seen the way you look at each other.
James: I care about her. But she's sticking it out with Cole, and I'm not gonna be the other guy in that relationship.
James: So it wasn't a mistake, okay?
[Knocking on door]
Aubrey: Any message from Kelly?
Cutter: Who was that guy?
Aubrey: Maintenance. He installed new thermostats the other day. Why?
Cutter: Didn't really look like a maintenance guy.
Aubrey: He said they were installing them in all the rooms. He just stopped by to, I don't know, check it or something.
Cutter: They didn't install any in my room. And he just walked past every door on the floor. Where's this thermostat?
Aubrey: It's right there. Right there.
Cutter: This isn't a thermostat. It's a camera.
Aubrey: Oh, my God.
Cutter: We've been busted.
Joey: The truth is, I've noticed that I have certain feelings for you. I care about you, Kelly. I always have.
Kelly: You do?
Joey: Yeah. So when Rex said that I need to--
Kelly: You need to what?
Joey: It doesn't matter. The fact is, I went over to La Boulaie to talk to you. Only you were with Cutter.
Kelly: I don't care about Cutter. I was trying to get over you, because I had to. You're marrying Aubrey. And no matter how hard I have tried, I couldn't find a good enough reason for you to dump her. So I kissed him.
Joey: It was bad timing.
Kelly: Are you saying that if I got to London sooner or told you right away, that you wouldn't be marrying Aubrey?
Joey: Yeah, but I am marrying Aubrey.
Kelly: Yeah. You are. You sure are.
Janitor: What the hell is going on in here?
John: Guess he really was nervous.
John: Yeah, this is Lieutenant John McBain. LPD. I want to check on a patient. Marty Saybrooke.
Brody: It sounds like Marty had a lucid moment--she told Starr that she knows that Liam isn't hers, that her baby died.
Natalie: And that's all she remembered?
Brody: For now, but who knows how long it'll take her to remember that we slept together? Natalie, she already busted up your last wedding. She could be on her way to the church right now.
Natalie: But she's in St. Ann's.
Brody: Which is minimum security, and if she's really doing so much better? I'm telling you, if she remembers, we have to tell Jessica and John ourselves. Now.
Kelly: Thank you very much, sir.
Joey: These are for-- just gonna get a couple.
Janitor: You crazy kids.
Kelly: Okay, that was awkward. Joey--
Joey: Yeah, I should probably call Aubrey.
Kelly: Yes. Yes, you should. I will see you at the wedding. Okay?
Joey: See ya.
Langston: Ford, did you get the job?
Ford: No. They said that they were all set for staff, but they think that Perelli's is hiring.
Starr: Oh, I love their lasagna.
Ford: So keep your fingers crossed, because I'm running over there right now. And I promise you, I'm gonna be hired by tonight.
Clint: Well, let's see if we can nail this little bitch.
Aubrey: Who the hell is taping us?
Cutter: I don't know. Clint Buchanan? He threatened you.
Aubrey: Or it could be Kelly. She's been trying to nail me ever since I got here.
Cutter: Whoever it is, look, that tape can take us down.
Aubrey: Oh, my God, oh, my God, oh, my God. What did we say?
Cutter: Everything. What's worse is--
Aubrey: What did we do?
Starr: I'm really glad things are going well with you and Ford.
Starr: Yeah. Seems like he's really trying.
Langston: Well, things'll work out for you, too.
Starr: Yeah, I just gotta get through this afternoon.
Langston: Hey, it'll be okay. Cole doesn't want you to suffer.
Starr: I know.
Langston: Things'll be much better. You won't be hiding anything from him. You'll be friends.
Starr: I hope so.
Langston: And then you can tell James that you're ready to start a relationship with him.
Starr: Now, that I can look forward to.
Natalie: We said we weren't gonna tell.
Brody: I know. But that was when we thought we had Marty under control. And then she had this break and we thought we were in the clear. But there's no way to stop her now. And it is better for Jessica and John to hear the truth from us.
Natalie: No, Brody, we can't tell them.
Brody: They will understand. It was just the one time when we were both single. And Jessica's had the baby, so there's no danger. What can Marty say? That we had sex together one time?
Natalie: She can say a lot more than that.
John: What do you mean Marty's not in her room?
