Blair: Oh. I can barely feel my feet.
Cristian: Well, now you have an excuse to go shoe shopping.
Blair: Listen, the only shops that we have been in have been art supply stores, and none of them seem to have sold a canvas that has this special mark on it.
Cristian: Wait a minute. We came all the way to Paris, and now you want to give up finding whoever did this painting?
Blair: No, I don't. Why are you so touchy?
Cristian: Sorry. But your painting is not the only reason we're here. I'm supposed to be working things out with Layla.
Blair: I know that, and I'm sorry that she had to work all day. You know what? Maybe I should go shoe shopping until you're in a better mood.
Cristian: Wait. Not yet. I just remembered something.
Cristian: We're in Paris.
Cristian: Damn it. Monsieur, can we get your best bottle of champagne, please?
Nora: To us.
Bo: And to never letting anyone make us doubt ourselves again.
Nora: Mmm. I will drink to that.
Bo: How'd it get that far, red? Clint played me like a fiddle. I can't believe I thought those texts came from you.
Nora: I can't believe I thought you cheated on me. Even with Inez.
Bo: When I was at her apartment, Eddie Ford was...
Nora: Okay. Don't.
Bo: I can't even think about what that bastard did to you.
Nora: All right, just stop. Let's stop. Let's just make a promise to each other right now...
Nora: That we will never let anyone pull us apart again.
Bo: You got it.
Matthew: What's he doing here?
Inez: I couldn't understand why you wouldn't defend yourself after you were arrested. Now we know it's because you thought I killed Eddie.
Nate: And you thought I did it.
Inez: You shouldn't have tried to protect me.
Nate: Forget all that, Mom, okay? What we need to figure out is if you didn't kill Eddie and I didn't kill Eddie, how did that gun end up in our apartment?
Clint's voice: Whatever Eddie did, he did on his own, and you can't prove otherwise. Not with Eddie dead.
Bo: Why, because you killed him?
Clint: You wish. Face it, you got nothing on me, and you never will.
Viki: Oh. I saw that headline and I thought about you. Are you all right?
Clint: Of course I'm all right. Why wouldn't I be all right?
Dani: Hey, thanks for breakfast, Dad.
Starr: It was great.
Todd: Oh, was it really great? Yeah. You've had two bites. What the hell is your problem? You barely picked up your fork?
Todd: Bunch of sad sacks. This is supposed to cheer everybody up. Nate's off the hook.
Téa: Because your newspaper says so?
Todd: Well, not only that, but my ravishingly beautiful Latina shark of a lawyer/wife got her client to admit he was innocent. Why aren't we celebrating? I don't understand.
Téa: It ain't over till the judge says it's over, Todd. When the charges are officially dropped, then we can celebrate, right, Dani?
Dani: Yeah. I mean, the Nate part would be incredible. It's just...
Todd: Just what?
Starr: If his mom goes to jail instead, Nate's not going to be too happy about that. None of her sons will be.
James: Uh, you sure you don't want to go to the coffee shop instead?
Michelle: Are you kidding? I love the food here. Why? Is there some reason you don't want to stay?
Cristian: How about I take you through the Musée D'Orsay? Maybe we'll see something there that will trigger a clue about your portrait.
Blair: Well, as much as I would love my own personal tour guide, I don't think anything is going to trigger a clue about this portrait. I don't think anything is gonna unlock the secret of why Eli left this for me.
Man: Mon dieu.
James: Well, we're here. We might as well stay. No reason not to.
Michelle: Hi, Starr. How are you?
James: Why don't you take a look at the menu and I'll be right back, okay? Hi. I'm sorry to interrupt. I just wanted to tell you thank you so much for everything you've been doing for Nate. Is it true that he might get out tonight?
Téa: With a little luck on our side, but until we get the ruling, I can't make any promises.
James: Oh, right. Of course. Well, what about my mom? Do you know if they're gonna charge her with anything?
Téa: She's being held on suspicion. If that changes, I'll let you know.
James: Thank you. I appreciate it.
Todd: Okay. What's going on between you and that guy?
Nora: Your father and I worked things out.
Bo: I'm home to stay.
Matthew: Just like that? I'm supposed to pretend everything's normal? He cheated on you!
Bo: That's not what happened.
Matthew: You slept with your assistant--secretary, whatever you want to call her.
Nora: You know what? That was a misunderstanding.
Matthew: I didn't misunderstand. I saw them. I was there.
Bo: I know what you saw, but it wasn't what you thought. Now, Matthew, nothing happened, okay, because I put a stop to it. And things wouldn't have gotten as far as they did if I'd been in a clear mind.
Matthew: What the hell is that supposed to mean? What, were you hypnotized or something?
Viki: You were seeing Inez Salinger for a while.
Clint: Yeah, so?
Viki: Well, call me crazy, but I kind of assumed that seeing that she's been accused of murder might be a little unsettling.
Clint: Well, at my stage of life, you learn that people are pretty much capable of doing anything.
Viki: You think she did it?
Clint: I'll let the jury decide that. Meanwhile, why don't you tell me why you're really here?
Viki: Oh. Well, okay. Our new grandsons will need to be christened very soon, and I was hoping that you would co-host the event with Charlie and with me.
Clint: Yes! Yes, absolutely! Count me in. As a matter of fact, I was just doing a little work for those boys of ours. I got this trust fund set up. Got to start thinking ahead, you know.
Viki: Clint, they're only a few days old. I don't think there's any big rush.
Clint: Well, you want to be ready, you know? I want to have my affairs in order.
Viki: "Affairs in order"? Oh, my goodness, people don't say that unless they're contemplating something dire.
Clint: I just want to be prepared, you know, in case something should happen to me.
Viki: Now you're scaring me. What do you think is gonna happen to you?
Nate: Someone put that gun in our apartment to set us up. But who? And were they trying to frame you or frame me?
Inez: I'm not sure.
Clint: Sounds like lover boy wants a return engagement.
Inez: How did you get in here?
Clint: The door. It was unlocked. You got to be more careful.
Inez: I just hope that the truth comes out somehow, and we can both get out of this and be free. I hate seeing you in here.
Nate: You shouldn't be in here, either.
Inez: You're my sweet boy, but you're a little crazy. Getting yourself locked up just so you could keep me safe?
Nate: Eddie made your life miserable. I didn't want you to have to pay any more than you already have.
Inez: But it's okay for you? And you would have to pay with the most important years of your life, Nate, and giving those years up for anyone, even me, it's wrong. But I love you with all my heart for being willing to do it.
Man: Je vous en prie, Madame et monsieur, but I wonder if the gentilhomme might perhaps be Monsieur Vega?
Cristian: Yeah, that's me.
Man: I am Claude Calmar. The concierge at your hotel told me where I might find you.
Cristian: Nice to meet you. This is Blair Cramer.
Claude: I would know that face anywhere. That is why when I saw Monsieur Vega's posting...
Cristian: I went online to an art website that's based here.
Claude: He displayed a photograph of the painting madam holds in her hand. Anyone who knew its provenance was invited to come forward. Et voila! Here I am.
Blair: Your last-ditch effort.
Cristian: Guess it paid off. So did you paint this?
Claude: No, Monsieur, I did not paint that exquisite portrait. I am but a humble merchant.
Cristian: You have a gallery?
Blair: Hmm. "Arts and Antiquities. Number 17 rue de--" listen, if you want me to pronounce this, they'll probably kick me out of France.
Claude: Many paintings have come through my doors. But this one in particular kept me great company. Alas, I only had it a few weeks before I sold it in April 2010.
Cristian: Do you remember who you sold it to?
Claude: A lawyer from America. He said it reminded him of the woman he loved.
Blair: Would his name happen to be Elijah Clarke?
Claude: Let me see. Mais oui, c'est ca. That was the name. And a very fine gentleman. Tres gentil.
Blair: Well, not so much, actually, but that's a very long story. That is Eli's signature. So now we just need to know the name of the artist. We couldn't really make it out on this portrait here. Do you know who it is? Do you know the name? Who painted this?
Starr: Nothing happened with me and James.
Todd: Right. So when he came over here and you looked like you got hit by a brick, that was just in my head?
Dani: Dad, give Starr a break, okay?
Todd: Just interested in what's going on in my daughters' lives, that's all.
Starr: Well, it's nothing that you need to know.
Todd: Sorry. Can't help it. That's what dads do.
Starr: Well, don't.
Téa: I'd like to change the subject, how about that?
Starr: Thank you.
[Cell phone rings]
Téa: Oh. Excuse me.
Téa: Saved by the bell. Ahem. Hello? Yes, I'll hold. It's the judge's office.
Dani: Are they letting Nate go?
Michelle: I know Valentine’s Day is a long way off, but being on the planning committee, I just really don't want this dance to be lame.
James: Oh, gosh. Did something happen?
Téa: No, no. We're gonna go to the courthouse. Hey. Judge wants to talk to Nate.
James: Okay, well, is that good news or is that bad news?
Téa: As soon as we know, we'll let you know, all right?
James: Yeah. Well, tell Nate that I'm hoping for the best, okay?
Dani: Yeah, I will.
Téa: Okay. All right. Bye-bye.
Michelle: Just think, this time tomorrow, your brother could be free.
James: Yeah, I just wish I could say the same thing for my mom.
Bo: Have a seat. Matthew, what happened between Inez and me, the details don't really matter.
Matthew: Is that what you think? The details don't matter?
Nora: You know, I know this is confusing, but your father and I have made a decision to keep these details between the two of us.
Matthew: What is this, more secrets?
Bo: We're asking you to trust us.
Nora: And to respect the fact that we have our reasons for doing this.
Matthew: Fine. You want to treat me like a kid? Go ahead.
Nora: Oh, come on, Matthew. Where are you going?
Matthew: I have to stop at B.E. before school.
Bo: No, you don't.
Bo: You don't work there anymore.
Viki: Clint, are you ill? Please tell me the truth.
Clint: I'm as healthy as a horse.
Viki: What's all this "in case something happens to me" business?
Clint: Well, it's like Pa always used to say, "Hope for the best but plan for the worst."
Viki: Well, there's truth in that, isn't there? Because sometimes the worst does happen. You know, Nora said that Inez would be trouble. I guess she was right.
Clint: Well, let's not take on other people's problems, all right? Not when we have so much to celebrate around here. So why don't you tell me what I can do for these christening plans?
Viki: Well, it's going to be wonderful. I'm not sure yet what you can do, but it's going to be wonderful having the whole family together, you know, to welcome those beautiful children into the family. I really wish that Asa had been here to see them.
Clint: Oh, he'd be grinning from ear to ear.
Viki: Yeah. Well, I'm glad that you and Bo will be there together to carry the Buchanan torch. That will be nice to see.
Bo: It's over, Matthew. You're not going back to work at B.E.
Matthew: Why? Did Uncle Clint say he doesn't want me working there anymore?
Bo: Your mother and I think that you should spend that time on your schoolwork.
Matthew: Dad, we talked about this. My schoolwork's fine. You saw my grades.
Bo: We've made the decision.
Matthew: And I get no say in this? Come on, this isn't fair! Mom, you know this sucks.
Nora: I'm sorry, but I agree with your father.
Matthew: All right, why don't you guys want me working for Uncle Clint?
Bo: Is he the one that told you that I cheated on your mother and that she cheated on me?
Matthew: So what if he did?
Nora: Oh, my God, Matthew, those were vicious things to say to you, and they weren't even true!
Matthew: So talk to him about it! Why does that mean I have to quit?
Bo: It's like your mom just said, you're gonna have to accept the fact that we have our reasons.
Matthew: And I don't get to know what those reasons are?
Nora: We're your parents. You just need to trust us.
Bo: You don't go back to work at B.E., and from now on, you're gonna steer clear of your Uncle Clint. Is that understood?
Matthew: No. And it never will be.
Bo: Go to school.
Claude: I wish I could tell you the name of the artist, but regrettably, ce n'est pas possible.
Blair: You never met him?
Claude: We've met.
Cristian: I'm sorry. I don't understand.
Claude: He very much values his privacy.
Blair: Well, so you know who it is, but you're just not gonna tell us?
Claude: You must understand, I'd like to help you.
Cristian: Then why don't you?
Blair: We came all this way, and I totally understand your loyalty to the artist, but my late husband left me this portrait, and there's no way I'm truly gonna be able to lay him to rest until I know who painted it.
Claude: I'm sorry. I can't give you his name. But I suppose I could give you his address.
Starr: I wonder how Mom's doing.
Todd: The hell with Mom. I want to find out what's going on with you.
Starr: Oh, gee, Dad, well, it's a really great time in my life. Cole's in prison--
Todd: No, no. This is not about Cole, it's about James. Did he dump you for that chick or did you dump him?
Starr: If you ask me to breakfast again and I say no, don't be surprised.
Todd: Well, okay, hold on. I'm sorry. No more questions. There's actually something I want to talk to you about.
Starr: You sound serious even for you.
Todd: It's about Marty. She made the final flip.
Starr: She what?
Todd: Yeah, she's got a rubber room at St. Ann's with her name on it. It's great, huh?
Starr: What happened?
Todd: She tried to steal your cousin Natalie's baby. Snuck into the nursery at the hospital.
Todd: Who knows? Who cares? What are you looking at me like that for? Everyone's fine. Natalie's fine, the baby's fine, everyone's fine. Except for Marty.
Starr: Oh...God, poor Marty.
Todd: Was I right about her or what? What did you say?
Starr: I said, "Poor Marty."
Todd: Are you serious? "Poor Marty"? Give me a break. Poor Hope...if she ever came anywhere near her. You see, I knew that. That's why I got that restraining order. Everybody went down on me for it. Sweet little grandma versus the big bad wolf. Who's the monster now? See, I had Marty Saybrooke's number from the beginning. Thank me anytime.
Michelle: I don't have a degree or anything, obviously, but I am auditing a class in the law school. The professor was talking about search and seizure the other day. I don't know if this applies to your mom's case, but if the police didn't absolutely follow procedure when they were collecting the evidence, that could definitely have an impact, so you might want to ask your mom's lawyer about that.
Todd: Starr, you even listening to me?
Michelle: James? Are you listening?
Dani: Thank you.
Téa: The judge is ready to rule now, Nate.
Téa: Yep. We're gonna take you up to the hearing room.
Inez: Will they release him? Do you have any idea?
Téa: I really don't.
Dani: Yeah, but I think it's going to mean that they're going to let you go.
Nate: What about my mom? Are they charging her?
Téa: Not yet, but the D.A. still wants her held. I'm sorry, Ms. Salinger.
Inez: It's all right. Just do your best for my boy.
Téa: Thank you.
Nate: It's gonna be okay, Mom. We're both gonna get out of this.
Bo: I didn't want to tell Matthew Inez drugged me. That'll make her the bad guy, at least to him, anyway. It just doesn't seem fair.
Nora: No. You did the right thing.
Bo: Did I? Now the kid's more confused than ever. I mean, he left here hating us.
Nora: Would it have been better if you told him that Clint enlisted Inez to seduce you? Do you think that would have been better? You know, and would he have believed it? You know how he idolizes Clint.
Bo: I used to do a lot of that myself. When I was a kid, I thought my big brother hung the moon. You know, I never thought he would turn on me like this.
Nora: Clint tried to destroy us, Bo. We can't keep this from Matthew forever.
Bo: No. And that's why we need to have proof. You can't just destroy all his illusions.
Nora: No. We also have to make sure that Matthew doesn't tip off Clint that we're onto him.
Bo: Yeah, I know. That's why we have to keep Matthew as far away from his uncle as possible.
Matthew: We need to talk. Now.
Clint: Okay. What exactly did your parents tell you?
Bo: Has my brother turned into the man that would send a thug like Eddie Ford after you and then kill the guy just to shut him up?
Nora: I know. It's hard to believe any of this is true.
Bo: All of that just to get back at us for hurting him.
Nora: And we did hurt him. And it doesn't justify murder, but we did hurt him.
Bo: Yeah, but now we have to find out what really happened.
Nora: And we have to be able to prove it.
Bo: I think I know how.
Dani: Good luck.
Lawyer: Ms. Buchanan has recused herself for personal reasons.
Judge: So you'll be taking over?
Lawyer: Yes, Your Honor, I'm up to speed.
Judge: Then I'm sure you're aware that thanks to Ms. Delgado's theatrics, the defendant has recanted his guilty plea. I've considered your request to vacate the charges against Mr. Salinger, and I've come to a decision.
Claude: You must promise me you won't tell the artist how you came by this information.
Cristian: No problem.
Blair: Our lips are sealed.
Claude: I have vowed to never reveal his identity to a patron.
Cristian: And you haven't.
Claude: I think this will do him good. He spends so much time by himself, lost in his art, which is a beautiful existence, but a lonely one, no?
Blair: Well, for whatever reason, I just want to thank you, monsieur, for all of your trouble--
Claude: I won't hear of it. To put a smile on such a beautiful face is reward enough. Bonne chance, madam.
Claude: You, my dear sir, are a lucky man.
Cristian: Oh, we're not--
Claude: Au revoir and much happiness to you both.
Cristian: Sorry about that.
Blair: No. Listen, I don't care if he thinks that we're together. I'm finally gonna find out who painted this picture of me back in 2003 when I didn't know anybody was even painting me. Oh, Cristian, I couldn't have done this without you. Thank you, thank you, thank you. No. Thank you so much.
Cristian: So shall we go find this mystery artist or what?
Blair: Oui, oui! Let's go.
Cristian: Excuse me. Monsieur, can we get the check, please?
Layla: Bonjour, Cris.
Cristian: Layla. I thought you were... I didn't expect to see you.
Layla: And I wasn't expecting to see Blair.
Blair: Cristian is doing me a huge favor.
Layla: Really? What kind of favor?
Blair: Well, I had a mystery involving this portrait here, so I had to come to Paris, and I know how much Cristian really wanted to see you, so I offered to pay his expenses if he would come help me.
Cristian: We called your office. They said you'd be out on a shoot all day.
Layla: Yeah, I managed to leave early. I thought seeing you was more important, and the hotel told me you'd be here at the restaurant.
Cristian: That's great.
Blair: Yes, it is great. So I'm gonna leave you two to work things out, and then I will check out this address and who lives there.
Cristian: Whoa, wait a second. Maybe you shouldn't go alone.
Blair: What, to see the painter?
Cristian: Well, you've never met.
Blair: He is a friend of Mr. Calmar.
Cristian: Yeah, but he's also a total stranger, Blair. You never know what you could be walking into.
Blair: Cristian, I'm going to be fine. I can handle some kind of hungry artist. Trust me, okay? I'm gonna be fine. Listen, you and Layla work things out, and I will work things out with this, and I'll catch up with you later. Bye, Layla.
Cristian: I'm glad you're here because we need to settle what's been going on between us.
Matthew: My parents want me to quit this job. Actually, they ordered me to.
Clint: Well, did they give you a reason?
Matthew: My dad said he wasn't having an affair, and he's pretty ticked off that you told me he was. But I don't see why that means I have to quit.
Clint: Is that all he said?
Matthew: Pretty much, yeah.
Clint: Well, you're right, Matthew. That doesn't make much sense at all.
Matthew: So why did you do it? You told me both my parents had cheated on each other. Do you have a reason? Or was it just some weird way of stopping me from telling my dad that you're Rex Balsom's father?
Viki: You know, I called your office, and they said you weren't coming in today which is, like, so unlike you.
Viki: So I thought I'd better stop by, see if everything is okay.
Nora: It's more than okay. Bo moved home again.
Viki: Oh. Oh, Nora, oh, thank God. Oh, God. Oh. I am so relieved. I am so happy for you and Bo.
Nora: Yeah, me, too.
Viki: I assume you know about Inez Salinger.
Nora: Oh, yes. I was there when she was arrested.
Viki: Ah. Well, if you are looking forward to prosecuting her--thank you--I wouldn't blame you one tiny little bit.
Nora: Well, we don't have all the, you know, the facts of the case yet, so Bo's working on that.
Inez: I'm so glad to see you. Did you talk to Clint? Did he admit that he was behind everything? Because I have been going over it and over it in my mind, and I think I know how that gun ended up in my apartment.
Inez: Clint was there before the police were. He must have planted it.
Bo: I think you're probably right. Can you prove it? Didn't think so.
Inez: He set me up, Bo. I'm innocent. Maybe not of...some things.
Bo: You know, I could get you put in Statesville for drugging me. You know that. Or you could help me.
Judge: And in light of new information, I have little choice but to vacate the guilty plea and dismiss the case. You're free to go, Mr. Salinger.
Nate: Thank you, Your Honor.
Judge: Do you know if Ms. Buchanan is planning to bring charges against the boy's mother, Inez Salinger?
Lawyer: She hasn't made a decision yet, Your Honor, but the case has been reopened.
Judge: I'll stay tuned, but for now, we're adjourned.
Bailiff: All rise.
Téa: Oh! Congratulations, Nate.
Nate: Thank you for everything. You were amazing.
Dani: Okay, okay, okay.
Nate: All right, all right, all right.
Dani: Oh, I told you this would happen.
Nate: Yeah, but what about my mom? Can you help her, too?
James: It's really sweet of you to try and help out with my mom's case. I just don't... I'm worried about my brother.
Michelle: Of course. Why wouldn't you be? You know, we should probably get to class.
James: You know what? You go ahead. I'm gonna stay and check and see if there's any word on Nate.
Michelle: Good luck. I hope everything works out.
Todd: You finished?
Starr: With what?
Todd: With your little peek-a-boo session with the Ford kid over there. I'm trying to give you some good advice here.
Starr: Go ahead.
Todd: Live your life. Forget about Cole.
Starr: I'm not talking about this.
Todd: You know, he's locked up for a reason. He's nuts just like his mom.
Starr: It's completely different.
Todd: How? How? They both lost control, and they're both locked up. You got to seize the moment, right? You got to just kiss all the Thornharts good-bye.
Starr: Does Cole know what happened to his mom?
Todd: I don't know.
Starr: I'm gonna call him.
Todd: Wait. I don't think you understand. You don't get it, man. You have an opportunity here just to make a clean break.
Starr: I don't think you get it. Cole is the father of my child, and you want me to abandon him. Do you honestly think that you're helping me? Leave me alone. Please.
James: Hey, what's wrong with Starr? What did you do to her?
Todd: You're asking what I did to Starr?
James: Uh, yeah. You must have upset her.
Todd: No. I think that's on you.
James: What? What's on me?
Todd: You're the one that had the brilliant idea to bring that other chick in here and flaunt her in front of Starr.
James: You don't have any idea what you're talking about.
Todd: You just keep it up and you'll drive her right back to Cole. And then we'll both have the pleasure of watching my daughter ruin her life.
Cristian: So let's just get things out in the open, okay?
Cristian: Okay, I'm gonna start with saying something that I feel really bad about, but I don't want any secrets between us, so I'm just gonna say it. On New Year’s Day, I woke up naked in bed with Blair.
[Faint music playing]
[Stylus drags across record, music stops]
James: Starr told me she wanted me to see other people.
Todd: Yeah, that's why she's so happy now.
James: Hey, I want to be-- you know, why am I even saying any of this to you? It's none of your business.
Todd: Hold on, sit down.
James: Why? Why should I?
Todd: I told you that the only way to get an abuser out of your life is for them to end up dead, right? And looks like your mom did you a favor. If she's the one who killed your dad.
Nora: Oh, my God. Oh, they're scrumptious. They're beautiful.
Viki: Aren't they beautiful? I have about 38 more if you want to see them.
Nora: Ha ha!
Viki: Uh, sorry. Never mind.
Nora: No. You're entitled.
Viki: Oh, please, Clint is much worse. I saw him a little while ago. He's already setting up trusts for the babies.
Nora: You saw Clint this morning?
Viki: Yeah, yeah. You know something? The newspaper with the headline about Inez was lying right on his desk. I think at this point, that man must be so relieved that he didn't get seriously involved with her.
Viki: Okay, Nora.
Viki: What's up with you? You're so quiet. Is there something wrong?
Clint: Matthew, you and I talked about Rex Balsom, and I did what I did for the good of the family. I thought you understood that.
Matthew: I thought I did, too. Look, Uncle Clint, you've done a lot for me, and I just think... I mean, if it's true that my parents didn't cheat on each other, that's great, but I don't want that to change what I do here. I mean, I really love this job. I don't want to have to leave.
Clint: All right, then listen carefully, and I'll tell you exactly what you're gonna do.
Nora: No. There's-- nothing's wrong. Just a little tired. Bo and I didn't get much sleep last night.
Viki: Oh, ha ha! Okay, Nora. In that case, I will leave you and let you get back to bed.
Nora: No, no. Please don't go. We hardly ever get to visit. Besides, I want to hear about you. Hey, what's new with this Echo situation?
Viki: Nothing. Nothing. Everything's still the same. Echo is still there. Well, now that Inez has been neutralized, maybe Echo can be next.
Nora: Yeah. There you go.
Viki: I am so happy that you and Bo have worked things out.
Nora: Oh, thank you.
Viki: I'm so glad that no one came between you.
Nora: No one can. No one can, and no one ever will.
James: My mom couldn't kill anybody, even after everything my dad did, okay? I don't think it's in her.
Todd: No, it doesn't matter to me who iced the guy. I just care about my daughter. I don't like seeing her hurt. So if you want her, then get rid of that other girlfriend, and then once you've done that--
Starr: Dad...what are you saying to James?
Nora: Hey, what are you doing home? I thought you went to school.
Matthew: I didn't go.
Nora: What? Why not?
Matthew: You told me I couldn't work at B.E. anymore, so I went over there and quit.
Nora: You saw your Uncle Clint? After your father and I specifically told you not to?
Matthew: I wanted to tell him in person. I think I owe him that much.
Nate: You are the best thing that could happen to my mom right now. She saw what you did for me. When she finds out you might--where is she?
Téa: What happened to Ms. Salinger?
Guard: She's gone.
Clint: Why the hell aren't you in jail?
James: Your dad was just asking me about what was going on with--
Todd: Yeah, and we covered that. But mostly, I'm interested in what's going on with you two, all right? So let's cut to the chase. You want Starr, she wants you back. Let's just admit it.
Cristian: So I was at Capricorn with Blair, and we started drinking. Next thing you know, we're playing strip poker at her place...which is how I fell asleep in her bed.
Cristian: Let me just--let me just finish. Look, I want to be honest with you, Layla, because I love you. But I need you to know that nothing happened between me and Blair. There was no sex. Not even close. And I'm sorry I accused you of sleeping with Steffen. I mean, I get it. It was New Year’s Eve. Things can get a little crazy. I should have known that you wouldn't sleep with Steffen any more than I would sleep with Blair.
Layla: Cris, I'm sorry, but I did sleep with Steffen.
Blair: Hello? Listen, I know you're in there because I heard the music. What, you think I'm just gonna go away? 'Cause I'm not. I'm gonna stand here, and I'm gonna knock on your door until somebody answers the door, okay? I'm--
Man: Who the hell do you-- it's you.
