Cole: You're serious? You--you want me to sleep over? Tonight?

Starr: I want us to do more than sleep. I want us to be together, together. Well?

Cole: Uh, I want to be with you more than anything.

Starr: It'll be perfect this time.

Cole: Okay. Wait, wait, wait. Just hear me out. There's no where else I'd rather spend my last night than here with you and Hope. And then once I go undercover, who knows when I'll be able to see you guys?

Starr: Okay. Right. So call Rachel and give her some excuse as to why you can't sleep at the treatment center tonight.

Cole: Okay. What--what about your parents? Your dad said he would strangle me before he'd let me get in bed with you.

Markko: Hey, Papi, come in. Ma told me that, you know, you'd been talking things over, trying to see how we can work this out.

Ernesto: Yes.

Markko: I never thought it would happen so soon. I miss you, and I miss Mom. Thank you for coming here.

Langston: Well, I was just on my way out, so I'll leave you two alone to talk about--

Ernesto: That won't be necessary.

Oliver's voice: "Whatever you think you know about me, it was a long time ago. I'm not that guy anymore. For both our sakes, get on with your life and stop messing with mine. Oliver."

Layla: Is that what's up? Women aren't really your thing?

Oliver: What? Why would you ask me that?

Layla: I just thought that maybe--

Oliver: No. Just because it takes me a little while to get going, you think I'm gay?

Kyle: What are you doing reading my mail?

Oliver: Look, I am, like, totally 1000% into women. I like the way they look. I like they way they feel. I like the way they are. I'll prove it to you.

Layla: Okay. Whoa, bad boy. I was just trying to figure out who you're into. And if you're gay--

Oliver: I'm not gay!

Roxy: The person whose stem cells Stacy passed off as her own--that person was your father.

Rex: I'm sorry. Would you mind repeating that?

Roxy: I said it was your father, Rex.

Rex: My father?

Roxy: Yes.

Rex: My dad? Dear old dead dad? The supposedly psycho S.O.B. that had you all twisted up? The one that you told me you whacked years ago? That dad? That who we're talking about, Ma? You told me you killed him. So either a corpse can give blood or you lied about it again.

Roxy: Not exactly.

Gigi: Stay away from my family!

Stacy: Let go of me! Ah! Ugh!

Gigi: Ugh!

Stacy: Aah! Aah!

Gigi: Oh, my God. Stacy? Stacy? Oh, my God. Stacy?

Gigi: Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Stacy? Stacy, can you hear me? Help! Somebody, help!

Gigi: Oh, my God. Oh, my God, I killed her. Oh, my God, I killed my little sister.

Rex: You either killed him, Roxy, or you didnít. Which is it?

Roxy: You really, really don't understand.

Rex: No, no, I understood the day that you confessed to murdering him. I almost felt sorry for you. But it was just another one of your lies.

Roxy: He was in a coma! The doctor said he was a vegetable! Lights are on and nobody is home, so he was as good as dead! I didn't lie to you, Rex.

Rex: Bull!

Roxy: Fine! Fine! Okay! That bastard's excuse for a heart--I admit it was still beating. Then I sucked all the blood out of him and I killed him. I killed him all the way dead. I pulled every plug out of that machine, and the clinic called to say that he was kaput. Hasta la pasta. So you call that clinic. They'll back me up.

Rex: While my son was dying, you killed a man?

Roxy: A man? He wasn't a man! He was barely human!

Rex: My father? The only one you knew that could save Shaneís life for sure?

Roxy: I saved his life. I saved him. I got Kyle to draw more blood. I was thinking ahead.

Rex: You killed a man in cold blood.

Roxy: I did it for you and Shane and Gigi. I had to keep you safe. As long as that monster was alive, we were all in danger.

Rex: "That monster"?

Roxy: That monster. That monster's burning in hell right now.

Rex: So he's gone now? He can't reach out from the grave and hurt us?

Roxy: No, he canít. Thank God.

Rex: So tell me his name, Roxy. Tell me who my father was.

Markko: You're okay with Langston staying? I mean, Ma told me you'd be cutting me a little slack with her, but--I mean, that's cool. We can, you know, talk about this. We can--

Ernesto: That isn't why I'm here.

Markko: Then why'd you come?

Ernesto: To give you these.

Starr: I can make it work with my parents. Trust me; I want this one night more than anything. You do, too, right? What is it?

Cole: It's just weird, you know? Last time I was here, it was to kick drugs. And then your dad dragged you off.

Starr: Oh, trust me, I remember.

Cole: I almost jumped out this window. But you--you saved me. You talked me back from the edge. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you.

Starr: You saved me just as much as I saved you. That's just how we are. We're meant to be together, Cole. And, yeah, you might have a ton of bad memories in here, but a lot has changed since then.

Cole: Yeah--I'm clean now.

Starr: Hmm. And my dad's not dragging me away somewhere.

Cole: Yeah, it seems like he's always tearing me away from you. I mean, don't get me wrong. I'm not afraid of your dad or anything. I thought about being with you again so many times. I just want it to be perfect, you know?

Starr: I want that, too.

Cole: I want to hold you after. I want to--I want to watch you sleep. Wake up with you. I want it all.

Starr: I do, too. I want it all, and it can happen. All right, I'll make it work with my parents, and you make it work with Rachel. Deal?

Cole: Deal.

Cristian: Look, I've heard you've done way worse than read somebody else's mail, so knock off the outrage, all right?

Kyle: Can't a guy live down anything in this town?

Cristian: You gave me the runaround the other night. Now Fish and Layla have gotten closer.

Kyle: I've told you everything I can.

Cristian: Well, you still didn't tell me how you thought Fish was gonna hurt Layla. And I still don't know what you meant by "he isn't who he seems to be." I thought that, you know, by reading this letter, I would get some answers.

Kyle: You mind?

Layla: Don't yell at me.

Oliver: Look, I'm sorry. I'm sorry, okay? But what do you expect? You accuse me of being--

Layla: It's not an accusation.

Oliver: Yes, it is. You're obsessed. You thought that waiter was gay.

Layla: He was!

Oliver: Yeah, in your mind he was. Why are you all over this? You know, it makes absolutely no sense. I've been with women before. I thought that we were having a really good time. Yeah, so we haven't done it yet. So I wasn't able to make it happen with you tonight. I'm tired, okay? That's all. You want proof that I'm not that way? Ask Stacy Morasco.

Gigi: Oh, my God. I'm so sorry. Stacy, I'm so sorry. I'm-- oh, you--oh, my--oh, don't move! Don't move, okay? I'm gonna go get help. Help! Help!

Roxy: I don't see how knowing his name is gonna make any damn difference.

Rex: It makes a difference because I say it makes a difference. You--you let Stacy pass off my father's blood as her own. You let the bitch wreck Gigi and me. You knew what Stacy was doing and you let it happen!

Roxy: I tried to stop it.

Rex: If--if the old man is really dead, then whatever went down between the two of you is dead, too. What is the harm in telling me? Roxy, just give me the name. You owe--you owe me the name of my father and the person who saved Shaneís life.

Roxy: You're right. I owe that to you.

Roxy: I'm gonna tell you, but we got to have a conversation someplace much more private than this.

Rex: No, this is private enough, and you don't get to make demands, and you sure as hell don't get to jerk me around anymore. Just spit it out.

Roxy: Okay. I'm gonna tell you, but I got to prepare you first.

Rex: After the hell that you and Stacy put my family through, I'm prepared for just about anything. So let's hear it.

Roxy: Okay. I'm gonna tell you. The name of your father was--

Gigi: Help! I need help!

Rex: That's Gigi.

Gigi: My sister fell! She's in the stairwell of the parking garage. She's in really bad shape! You have to hurry!

Nurse: Come with me.

Rex: Gigi, what happened? Did Stacy hurt you?

Gigi: No. But I really hurt her.

Layla: Wow. You really get a kick out of throwing Stacy in my face.

Oliver: No, I donít. But I don't really know what else to do, okay? I tell you I like women and you don't believe me, so then I have to come up with examples of when that I--

Layla: I know you slept with Stacy once.

Oliver: Oh. So now one night stands don't count?

Layla: No, that's not--

Oliver: Oh. So what happened with me and Stacy Morasco wasn't real? Is that like what's happening with us right now isn't real either? And I thought it was, but I guess I was wrong.

Layla: Wait. Wait. I am so sorry. I really am. This is just one huge misunderstanding. It's like the culture clash from hell. I come from the acting and fashion worlds, where it's so not a big deal if you're gay, straight, bi, try--whatever. It's all good. But you're a cop. And like you said, it's not all good. I'm--I didn't mean to hurt you. I should've never, ever questioned your honesty. You have been wonderful to me. Is there a way we could laugh it off, or did I blow it?

Kyle: There's nothing in here that proves anything.

Cristian: You think? Because I have to tell you that letter makes me even more sure that Fish is hiding something.

Kyle: Will you just leave it alone?

Cristian: Leave it alone?

Kyle: Yeah!

Cristian: Right. Like Fish asks you to do in that letter? How's that working for you? That's what I thought.

Kyle: Look, man, you got the wrong idea here.

Cristian: And what idea would that be? I mean, I don't have a clue what this big secret is that Fish--

Kyle: There's no secret!

Cristian: Look, all I know is that something went down with Fish and you know about it: Something that really scares him.

Kyle: Yes. Yeah. And whatever went down between me and Fish is between me and Fish!

Cristian: Say that again.

Kyle: You heard me.

Cristian: You know, you're the one that out of the blue told me that Fish was using Layla. Nobody asked you to tell me that. You said that Fish had something to hide. Now you're saying it's between you and him?

Kyle: Okay. I said more than I should have, okay? My mistake. Sue me.

Cristian: Look, man, I'm just trying to protect my friend here, and your buddy doesn't want to talk to me.

Kyle: You talk to Fish about this?

Cristian: Yes.

Kyle: What did he say?

Cristian: Some bull about frat boy stunts. And now you're stonewalling.

Kyle: All right, the guy has a right to his privacy.

Cristian: What did you expect when you put me on to this Fish thing? Your frat buddy lives with me. He's dating someone I care about. And Layla has been hurt way too many times to be blindsided by the geek squad. Understand me? So I'm not gonna let this go. Either you tell me or I find out whatever Fish's deal is on my own.

Kyle: All right, some--something happened in college. Okay? Fish was involved with somebody and he made a mess of it.

Starr: What did Rachel say?

Cole: Well, I didn't lie. I told her this is my last night before going undercover and I want to be with the people I love. And she said yes.

Starr: Ooh! I can't believe this is happening! Oh, I'm so excited!

Cole: I'm gonna spend the whole night with you. I'm gonna wake up with you and our baby girl.

Starr: Oh! Wait till you see Hope when she wakes up in the morning. She doesn't even cry. She just sits there and she holds her feet and she just talks to herself. It's so cute, and she reminds me of you when you were sleeping. Hmm.

Cole: I love you so much.

Starr: I love you so much.

[Hope cries]

Cole: I, uh, I guess she does her crying at night.

Markko: Papi, what is this?

Ernesto: You chose to live with strangers in a big, fancy house. Llanfair. You like families who name their own houses? People whose names keep changing with every marriage? Do you want to live with people who don't care if you ruin your life with a Godless girl? That's fine. You can carry on all you want in this mansion, but you can never come home again.

Doctor: What do we got?

Nurse: B.P. is 90 palp, but she's got good radials.

Doctor: All right, take her to two. And I see some facial trauma. Let's see if her jaw is still intact.

Roxy: Oh--

Rex: The, uh, woman they just brought in here--is she gonna be all right?

Doctor: We don't know yet.

Cole: "O frabjous day callooh, callay!" He chortled in his joy. 'Twas brillig...

Starr: I cannot believe that you have that whole poem memorized.

Cole: Well, my mom recited it to me over and over. When she didn't remember anything else about me, she remembered that.

Starr: Did you ever think that you would be teaching it to your own daughter?

Cole: Never in a million years.

Starr: I think she's ready for bed. Come here. Come on. I'll take her to bed in the nursery.

Cole: So far, this has been the best night of my life.

Starr: And it's gonna get even better.

Markko: I can't come home?

Ernesto: You seem to like it here.

Markko: I--I'm only here because you won't let me see Langston. I don't want to be here. I want to be home. But I have to be able to see Langston. Papi, why are you drawing this line in the sand?

Ernesto: We've been through this.

Markko: Well, I'm not a kid anymore!

Ernesto: You've made your choice, and I have made mine. If you want to continue to ruin your life, if you want to behave like an animal with this girl, there's nothing I can do about it! But I will never, ever condone it.

Starr: "Jabberwocky" did the job, and Hope is out. Oh, she's so cute. I really can't believe this is happening. This is our first night together since we-- since we made Hope.

Cole: Starr, this is our chance. We can erase the way our first time ended. Start all over again, a new beginning. I've been imagining this for so long.

Starr: So have I.

Starr: Everything is going to be different this time.

Cole: Oh, no.

Starr: What?

Cole: I, uh, I don't have protection.

Starr: Well, I'm not ready to give Hope a brother or sister.

Cole: Our first night without anything in our way, our big do-over. I can't believe this.

Starr: Wait. I knew this night was meant to be. Hold this.

Markko: Well, if you wanted to hurt me, you did a really good job.

Ernesto: You have to live with your choices. That's the way it works. Good-bye, Geraldo. From now on, you can call yourself Markko or anything else you'd like because you are no longer my son.

Cristian: So Fish was serious with someone in college and, what, it ended bad?

Kyle: They were crazy about each other. You know, they had plans together, had a future. Well, Fish made promises he couldn't keep.

Cristian: Meaning?

Kyle: Meaning he didn't have the guts to go the distance.

Oliver: I don't know. I have to think.

Layla: It's just I think I got scared that you were using me. As if the only reason you'd go out with me or tell everybody at work about me is because you needed me to look like you were straight. Cristian was right. I do screw up every chance I get with men.

Oliver: Layla, stop. Stop saying this is all your fault. It's not.

Kyle: Fish cared more about what people thought about him than he cared about who he was with. So he walked away, pretended like the whole thing never happened.

Cristian: And?

Kyle: And what?

Cristian: Well, isn't there more to it?

Kyle: What more do you want from me?

Cristian: I want the truth.

Kyle: Yeah, dude, I just walked up here and you're reading my mail! What more could I possibly owe you? If you have such a big problem with Layla seeing Fish, then why don't you go do something about it?

Cristian: I will.

Kyle: Keys. Oh, come on, man.

Gigi: The windshield was all broken in and she wrote "bitch" on it in lipstick.

Rex: Oh, my God.

Gigi: Then all of a sudden Stacy was there, and she was, like, crazed. She was threatening me. She told me she wasn't gonna stop fighting for you, and I just lost it. I hit her. After everything she had done to us, to Shane, I just wanted to beat the crap out of her. Oh. She took off and she said she was gonna go find you. I went after her. I said something, and she just lunged at me. I moved, and she went flying down the steps. Oh, God, Rex, I was so mad. Maybe some part of me wanted her dead.

Rex: Everything's gonna be okay.

Gigi: She kept saying that you two slept together at the club. She even said that you guys went at it at the storage place.

Rex: What? Is she out of her mind?

Gigi: And she opened her coat, and all she had on was her underwear. It was disgusting. How is she? How is my sister?

Doctor: She doesn't have any broken bones or obvious signs of internal injuries. I'll have to look at her test results. And I won't know if she has a head injury until after she's had a CT scan. But she's conscious now if you'd like to see her.

Oliver: You didn't do anything wrong, Layla. I hate that you're beating yourself up.

Layla: What else am I supposed to do? You don't want to sleep with me tonight, so I ask you if you're gay? Is that crazy or what?

Cristian: You okay?

Layla: Yeah, yeah.

Cristian: It doesn't look that way to me.

Layla: Um, look, we're kind of in the middle of something.

Cristian: You know, I just came from talking to Kyle Lewis. He had some choice things to say about Fish, things you probably ought to hear.

Roxy: Damn ice machine is broken on this floor again.

Kyle: Yup.

Roxy: Story of my life.

Kyle: Wait. I was looking for you earlier.

Roxy: And why is that?

Kyle: I lost my key. You have a spare, right?

Roxy: Wrong.

Kyle: Awesome.

Roxy: Heh heh! Baby, you don't know the half of it.

Kyle: Can I use your cell?

Roxy: My cell is downstairs. Did you lock your cell in your room?

Kyle: I can't afford one anymore. Could you call a locksmith for me?

Roxy: Sure. At least he won't ask me the hard questions.

Gigi: Stacy, I'm sorry this all happened. I--but when this is all over and you're back on your feet, you should get some professional help, a shrink. Okay? You need to talk to someone about--well, everything.

Stacy: I don't need you to tell me what I need, Gigi. I know what I need. You got what you wanted from me. You got the blood. We're done.

Markko: Kicking me out--that I can kind of get. But saying that I can never come home again, that he doesn't want me as a son anymore?

Langston: He can't mean that.

Markko: No, he did. I mean, you heard him. He just disowned me.

Langston: I'm so sorry, Markko. But he'll come around. How can he not? I mean, I know he's mad and he said a bunch of stuff, but there's no way that your dad really meant all of it.

Markko: He even brought all of my stuff from the attic? Huh. It's my fourth-grade report card.

Langston: Oh. You got an "A" in music and math? They're supposed to be connected, but they got unconnected for me somewhere in middle school.

Markko: Oh, man, I forgot about this.

Langston: You had a spelling bee in the first grade?

Markko: Yeah. Yeah, my parents, um, bought me ice cream every day for, like, a month after I won this. Yeah. Yeah, he meant it.

Langston: This is all just so out of control. I mean, I never wanted you to give up your family, your home, for me.

Markko: Hey, you're worth it. You're so worth it. Look, I'm sorry I'm so, you know, messed up about this. You had it so much worse. Your parents died.

Langston: Yeah, but the thing about my parents is they never pushed me away. I knew that they loved me, even when they died. No--I mean, I'm sure that your dad still loves you.

Markko: Yeah. Maybe. But, uh, now I feel like I don't belong anywhere.

Langston: You belong with me.

Starr: Courtesy of Langston and her secret stash. And I promise that Lola hasn't poked any holes in this one.

Cole: You're so beautiful.

Starr: Thank you.

Cole: I love you with all my heart.

Starr: I love you with everything I have.

Markko: This isn't my home.

Langston: Well, you only have another month or so before you start college, and you're never here. You work 2 jobs, and then you come and hang out with me at Dorianís. So there's the rest of the summer. And come fall-- you applied for financial aid to stay in the dorms, right?

Markko: Yeah.

Langston: Okay. So come fall, you move onto campus. And I promise I'll do everything I can to help you turn your dorm into a new home. Yeah. That sounds kind of pathetic, huh?

Markko: Yeah.

Langston: Well, you're always welcome to come to Dorianís to spend holidays and school breaks.

Markko: Yeah, that--that could be cool.

Langston: I know. This isn't home. No place is. You miss your family. You even miss your dad.

Markko: But I know I have you.

Langston: And I know that I have Dorian and Starr. And I love them, and I know that they love me, too. But I still miss my parents every day of my life.

Markko: I just--I can't believe that my dad could do this to me. It's so cold. But, um, you know, I belong with you, and you belong with me. And wherever we're together, that's home.

Oliver: Kyle Lewis has something against me. You shouldn't listen to him.

Cristian: You know, Fish gets awfully jumpy when you mention Kyle Lewis. Lewis knew Fish in college. Look, I don't know what happened, Layla. Both Fish and Kyle keep giving me the runaround, but something went down. Something Fish over here is begging Kyle not to talk about.

Roxy: Locksmith's gonna be here sometime tonight. He's charging a C-note for the visit.

Kyle: Day just keeps getting better and better, huh?

Roxy: Bad news?

Kyle: Nothing I haven't heard before.

Roxy: Is it about you and that cute guy with you in that picture?

Kyle: Yup.

Roxy: You want to tell me what's wrong?

Kyle: He's a coward who's afraid of telling the truth.

Roxy: Yeah, I know the feeling.

Cristian: Look, Layla, Fish is keeping secrets from you, and I think it's something that could hurt you, so I just thought you had the right to know.

Layla: Thanks, but Fish and I aren't any of Kyle Lewis' business--or yours.

Cristian: Okay. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Layla: Okay. I have to ask. Is there something to what he's saying? Did something happen with Kyle Lewis?

Oliver: Look, Kyle and I were frat brothers and that's it. And now I'm a cop and he's in trouble with the law. As far as I know, that's what he has against me.

Layla: Right. So are you gonna stay mad at me for asking if you're gay?

Oliver: You know, that's something I have to think about.

Roxy: Don't be so hard on him for not telling the truth. You know, sometimes you don't know why people are holding things back. And maybe people do what they do just to keep their world from spinning out of control.

Rex: Well, there's nothing else we can do for her.

Gigi: I guess. Sounds like she's gonna be okay.

Rex: We don't owe her a thing, Gigi.

Gigi: I know.

Rex: I'm gonna get this blood somewhere safe, and then it'll be there if Shane ever needs it. And we'll get him, we'll go home: The three of us as a family.

Gigi: I'm definitely all for that.

Doctor: You're one lucky woman, Ms. Morasco. A fall like that could've been much worse. But you escaped with scrapes and bruises. Nothing serious: No broken bones, no internal injuries. And I'm happy to report that your baby's fine, too.

Gigi: I was so mad at Stacy for everything she did to us. And she admitted it all. And she was still saying she had sex with you. I want her out of our lives, but I didn't want to kill her. Oh. I thought I had.

Rex: Don't worry. The doctor said she's gonna be okay.

Stacy: My baby? What baby? I'm pregnant?

Doctor: You didn't know?

Stacy: No.

Doctor: Oh. Well, it's still in the very early stages, but there's no question. And with a fall like that, you could've had a miscarriage. But everything looks good.

[Pager beeps]

Doctor: Oh. Uh, are you okay?

Stacy: Yeah.

Doctor: All right. Well, I'll be back later to check up on you.

Stacy: My baby--Rex's baby.

Rex: It's okay. You'll see, everything's gonna be all right.

Singer: There's so much craziness surrounding me there's so much going on it gets hard to breathe when all my faith has gone you bring it back to me you make it real for me when I'm not sure of

 [Hope babbles]

Singer: My priorities when I've lost sight of where I'm meant to be like holy water washing over me you make it real for me and I'm running to you, baby 'cause you are the only one who'll save me that's why I've been missing you lately 'cause you make it real for me oh, and everybody's talking in words I don't understand you got to be the only one who knows just who I am you're shining in the distance I hope I can make it through 'cause the only place that I want to be is right back home with you I guess there's so much more I have to learn but if you're here with me I know which way to turn you always give me somewhere somewhere I can run you make it real for me
