Jared: Natalie, I think we should --
Natalie: You should know up front why John is here. I think this is a matter for the police.
Jared: I have to say I'm surprised you called the police. I assumed you'd talk to me first.
Natalie: There's nothing to talk about. It's fraud -- it needs to be handled immediately, and I'm hoping for a quick arrest and conviction.
Sarah: Hey, where are you?
Cristian: I'm running a little late. Did you find the keys okay?
Sarah: Yeah. I'm already inside.
Cristian: Good. I'll be there before you know it.
Sarah: Can't wait.
[Knock on door]
Sarah: That little sneak -- he was right behind me. Come and get it, you sexy beast. Huh.
[Knock on door]
Todd: Open up! I'm here to make you the deal of your life.
Ramsey: What do you want?
Todd: What the hell are you doing here?
Ramsey: What am I doing? This is my new home.
Starr: You have to do something, okay? You have to get Sam -- Tommy -- away from my dad.
Marcie: Starr, why are you doing this to me?
Starr: It's not safe for him, okay? I know that you still love Tommy -- I know that you do. And if you do, you need to get Tommy away from my dad, okay? You need to do it now.
Gigi: I lied to you, Rex. I lied to both you and Shane, and I can't -- I can't do it anymore. I can't! So I just -- I have to tell you. Shane is your son, you are Shaneís father. Oh, my -- oh, my God. Rex, I'm so sorry.
Adriana: What's going on?
Jared: Of course you want to deal with this right away.
Natalie: When somebody betrays my family, they're betraying me. Scam the Buchanans and -- and they're slime, and as far as I'm concerned, deserve to burn.
Jared: Look, I understand. You're loyal. I -- I wouldn't expect anything less from you. But, look -- but before we get started, I just want to set the record straight on one thing. No matter how this falls out, you need to know that --
John: Go on.
Jared: Well, Nigelís not to blame, okay? He's got nothing to do with this.
Natalie: What? I don't blame Nigel -- I never did.
John: Is that all you have to say?
Gigi: This -- oh. I don't know what to say.
Adriana: What are you crying about?
Rex: So if you see a file -- what the -- I was just about to call you in Paris!
Rex: I thought your plane didn't get in until next week, or later.
Adriana: I tried to call you from the airport and then I just thought, "Oh, well, I'll surprise him," and here I am.
Rex: Hmm. Oh! Great surprise -- the best!
Rex: Oh, I've missed you so much.
Blair: Uh --
Sarah: All righty, then. I'm sorry, I'll right back.
[Blair and Sarah chuckle]
Blair: Were you expecting someone else?
Sarah: Uh -- kind of.
Blair: Um -- sorry. I should've called first, but I was in the neighborhood and I have a business proposition for -- for Cristian.
Sarah: Oh. Well, you should stick around. He should be here any minute.
Blair: Well, well, well, if it isn't the sexy beast himself.
Todd: You bought my penthouse?
Ramsey: We closed escrow yesterday. Put your stuff in storage -- you can call your lawyer for info.
Todd: You can't have this place -- this is my place.
Ramsey: No, no, I have it. I own it. I clearly have to call security about letting somebody in without my authorization.
Todd: Yeah, well, I know all the security guys as I have lived here for many years, as this is my house.
Ramsey: No, this is not your house. I own it. This is my house.
Todd: Okay. Uh -- I don't know -- I don't know what this is. I don't know what kind of stunt you're pulling here, but it's not going to work. I'd like my place back.
Marcie: Is Tommy okay? Your father didn't do something to hurt him in any way, did he?
Starr: Yes, he did.
Marcie: I mean, he didn't hit him -- did he? Starr, what did your father do to him?
Starr: My dad is hurting all of us. He is a terrible parent and he doesn't deserve any of us no matter what he says.
Marcie: Starr, I need you to tell me what your father did.
Starr: Didn't I already tell you? He is a horrible person and I just now realized how awful he is, okay?
Marcie: You -- you have always supported your father, Starr. You have always defended him. So I am going to ask you again, and I need you to tell me the truth -- did your father hit Tommy?
Todd: You have a big decision to make now, don't you? Is seeing Cole more important to you than his freedom?
Starr: He did. My dad hit Tommy.
Marcie: Oh, my God. You know, Starr, your -- your father, he -- oh, he has done some terrible things in the past, but to hit an innocent child like that? You know, you're -- you're right. We can't let him get away with this. All right, well, I -- I can't -- can you -- do you think maybe you could stay here, because my friend Gigi, her son, Shane, he's -- he's sleeping in there --
Starr: Yeah, sure. Just go, okay? Just go.
Marcie: I -- I will, but, look, he's -- he has a fever and he's running a fever, so if he wakes up, you need to check his forehead and you call me, okay?
Starr: I will. You just need to go, you need to get Tommy out of that house, okay? You need to take him away from my father -- now! Go!
Marcie: Okay, okay, okay. All right, I'm going to go. I'll -- I'll be back, all right? Uh -- I canít.
Starr: What do you mean you can't?
Marcie: I -- I don't know, Starr, but I -- I -- look, I can't go, okay?
Starr: What are you doing?
Marcie: I'm -- I don't know.
Starr: Who are you calling?
Marcie: I don't know! Look, it's going to be okay, all right? It's going to be okay, I promise you. We -- Tommy is going to be okay. I'm going to -- we're going to get him out of there, you and me, one way or another.
Ramsey: What are you doing still in Llanview? You should be taking hula lessons by now.
Todd: Yes, yes, Ramsey -- you know about Hawaii. Whoopee.
Ramsey: Broker told me you were relocating, yeah.
Todd: Yeah. Yeah, you knew the whole time. And then, of course, you used it to menace my wife.
Ramsey: You ever get over yourself? Yeah, Blair and I had a pleasant incidental chat over coffee.
Todd: That's not what she told me.
Ramsey: She's just as paranoid as her husband.
Todd: Ramsey, I want this place back.
Ramsey: All right, look, I'm going to just say this one last time -- I own this penthouse now, and I'm not ready to sell. It's not going to happen.
Jared: So what happens now? How do you want to do this?
Natalie: Jared, this is serious, yes, but you're acting like it's the end of the world. Lighten up.
Jared: What, do you expect me to be cavalier about this?
Natalie: No, not cavalier, but -- there's nothing that you or Nigel could've done to stop this, okay? You were victims, too, just like the rest of us.
Jared: What -- so you're not angry at -- at me? You're not angry at Nigel and -- and me?
Natalie: Why would I be? I mean, yeah, I guess it would've been helpful if Nigel had remembered to tell us or maybe you had put it together, but honestly, we all missed it. It was by chance that I actually caught it.
John: Is there something you're not telling us?
Jared: Uh -- no, no, no, no, there isnít. I just -- you know, I -- I feel -- I feel like I've failed the company. I -- I -- I should've seen it right away, but I just missed it.
Natalie: What would you have seen? How were you supposed to know that Harris York was skimming from B.E.? Wait. How -- how did you know that that's why I -- I called John to come up here?
Jared: Oh. Uh -- huh. Well, it was accounting. I stopped by there on my way up here and they told me about it -- everyone's, you know, chatting about it down there.
Natalie: I still don't understand why you're freaking out so much.
Jared: Well, didn't Nigel mention York when we asked him all those questions last night?
Natalie: Yes, which is what led me to discover the improprieties that raised a red flag.
Jared: Yeah, and I was standing right next to you and I missed it. I should've seen it right away and, you know, if I'd caught it sooner, I could've nipped it in the bud and then it was --
Natalie: Okay, this is enough, enough, enough. Stop making this your fault, Jared. Okay? It's fine now. We're handling it and we've got John on the case, so I have no doubt that we're going to get to the bottom of this.
John: I'm on it.
Natalie: And who knows what else you may uncover?
Adriana: So, what's up with you two? What were you doing when I walked in?
Rex: Uh -- yeah, you remember, I told you I hooked Gigi up with a job at B.E.
Adriana: Right. But you don't work there.
Rex: Uh -- no, but I'm investigating something with them -- for them.
Gigi: And I -- I just brought him over these recordings for him to listen to.
Adriana: I thought you were Natalieís assistant. You're a messenger, too?
Gigi: No. Jared needed a favor and he was busy and so he asked me to bring this stuff over to Rex ASAP.
Adriana: I'm just still a little unclear. Um -- you didn't obviously just drop off the recordings, right?
Gigi: No. I'm still here, so --
Adriana: Why? Did you have to listen to them together?
Rex: No, of course not. Gigi was just helping me figure something out, that's all.
Adriana: Oh. So you came from the office, huh?
Gigi: Yeah. And as soon as I get my first paycheck, I'll get better clothes.
Rex: Adriana wasn't criticizing your clothes -- at least I don't think so.
Adriana: No, of course not. I mean, your outfit totally suits your job. It's not like you're an exec or anything.
Rex: Where are your suitcases?
Adriana: Downstairs. I couldn't wait to get upstairs and see you.
Rex: I'll go get them.
Adriana: Well, hurry up because I have a lot of things I want to share with you.
Rex: I'll be right back.
Gigi: I should get going because I don't want to keep you from all that sharing.
Adriana: You didn't answer my question before, Gigi. What were you crying about?
Gigi: I wasn't -- I was -- I was crying -- I wasn't crying per se, I was -- I -- I just have really bad allergies. It's embarrassing.
Adriana: Why would that be embarrassing?
Gigi: Because my eyes tend to get really red and watery sometimes and it looks as if I'm having some kind of emotional meltdown, and really, it's just plain old allergies.
Gigi: So that must have looked really weird when you walked in here and saw me here all teary, and Rex on the headphones totally oblivious. Yeah, he didn't -- he didn't even hear you come in.
Adriana: Yeah, I'm lucky he was home. Like I said, I called and he didn't pick up.
Gigi: He was probably in the shower.
Adriana: How would you know that?
Gigi: I donít. I'm just guessing. I mean, why else would he have not answered his phone? Anyway, I'm going to go. See ya.
Rex: Oh. You're leaving?
Gigi: Yeah, I got to get back to the office.
Adriana: Uh -- hey, if you guys still have work to do, I can go take care of some stuff with Layla.
Rex: Hey, no, you just got home. You're not going anywhere.
Gigi: And we're done.
Rex: Hey, thanks for bringing that stuff by.
Gigi: No problem.
Adriana: Come here. Oh, God, I missed you.
Gigi: Way to go, Morasco. As usual, your timing sucks.
John: Since this is an overseas case, I'd like to bring in an international agency. I'll make sure it's the right people.
Natalie: Thank you.
Jared: Yeah, thank you. I'm -- I'm -- I'm confident that it will be handled.
John: He seemed uncomfortable or anxious.
Natalie: Yeah. I -- he's just trying really hard to impress Uncle Bo, and --
Natalie: Pushing himself like crazy.
John: How are things going with you two?
Natalie: Oh, I guess good. You know, he's a pretty good worker, and -- well, the family's finally starting to accept him.
John: I asked how things are going with you and him.
Natalie: Oh. Well, I've accepted him to be my uncle if that's what you mean. It's kind of like someone saying that you were my brother while we were together.
Natalie: Right, I know, that was --
Natalie: I shouldn't have said it. Anyway -- um -- anyway, I'm just glad that we found out before anything went too far.
John: So it's not a problem working with him?
Natalie: No. I mean, he's obviously over it. Doesn't seem to bother him at all.
John: Well, I don't know. He seemed a little bothered about something.
Natalie: Yeah, but he's kind of hard himself when -- well, when he thinks he doesn't measure up. What else could it be?
John: I don't know. I'm just looking out for you, I guess. Old habits die hard.
Natalie: Maybe -- maybe we could go grab a beer and play some pool sometime.
John: Yeah, I'd like that. Let's do that. I'm going to get back to work.
Sarah: So I will leave you two to discuss Blairís proposition.
Cristian: You can stay.
Sarah: No, no, it's business. I'll give you some space.
Blair: I love the color on this one. Brennan Winery?
Cristian: Yeah, I'm doing the artwork for Nashís new line -- wine labels and advertising.
Blair: Now, that's cool. Are you going to have enough time to do that and still work at Capricorn?
Cristian: Why? Did you find a buyer?
Blair: Well, I haven't told Antonio yet. I wanted to make sure you were still -- you know, wanted to manage the place.
Cristian: Are you kidding? Of course.
Cristian: This Nash thing is just a side job. I need a steady gig, and I love working at Capricorn, so whoever it is, you tell them I'm in.
Cristian: Oh, right -- and Sarah, too, for booking talent.
Blair: That shouldn't be a problem.
Cristian: And you, Blair -- you got to tell them to keep you as a singer, give you a steady gig. They'd be lucky to have you, not to mention all the business you'd bring in.
Blair: Oh, I don't think that's going to be a problem, either.
Cristian: Well, good. So, who is this prospective buyer?
Blair: You're looking at her.
Ramsey: You always forget who you deal with?
Todd: Perhaps you think you're dealing with some family man who --
Todd: Always does the right thing for fear that his family might get hurt.
Ramsey: What are you trying to say?
Todd: Well, I just discovered recently that even when I play it safe, my family gets hurt anyway, so --
Ramsey: So no more Mr. Todd nice guy?
Ramsey: Is that what you're getting at?
Todd: Yes. But you'll miss that guy, won't you, because you -- you always screw around with him and get away with it. But for me, I just never liked that guy, so -- I mean, he just caused me nothing but grief. Guess who's back.
Marcie: I should call Michael. I -- I think that he needs to know what your father is doing to Tommy. I canít. I can't call Michael, Starr. He's going to think I've lost my mind again.
Starr: No, he is not. He is not, okay -- not if you tell him that I said it, okay?
Marcie: You're right.
Marcie: Yes, and this is about Tommy's safety. I can't just sit here and do nothing.
Starr: You have to believe me, Mrs. McBain. Tommy is so much better off with you and your family. He is. He -- when he was with you guys, all he did was laugh and have fun. And when he is at my house with my family, all he does is cry constantly.
Marcie: I've been trying so hard lately not to think about Tommy every day, every minute of every day, and to not let the -- the pain and the grief take over my life. And, Starr, there is nothing more in this world that I would -- I would love to have him back, you know that. But it's not going to happen.
Starr: How can you say that? You need to get Tommy away from my dad. He is still your baby; I know that you love him. You can't let him stay there. I know that he misses you, okay? Even though he can't say it, he misses you like crazy.
Marcie: And I miss him.
Marcie: I miss him with all of my heart, Starr. But you don't understand. Look, I -- I am lucky. I am lucky that I'm not in prison for kidnapping. No judge in their right mind is ever going to let me have Tommy again, not after I ran away with him.
Starr: Then what are you going to do? How are you going to get Tommy away from my dad?
Marcie: I don't know. I don't know the options, Starr. I wish I did. I -- I don't like the option of foster care, especially not for Tommy -- he's been moved around so much from one family to another.
Starr: Foster care? Tommy? What are you talking about, "foster care"?
Marcie: I think it's a better option than living with an abusive parent.
Starr: But that's -- that's not -- that's not what I meant by coming over here. I thought that you guys were going to get Tommy.
Marcie: I know -- you thought that Tommy would be better off living with Michael and me and I appreciate that you think that, more than you know. But, Starr, like I said, that is never going to happen again, not after what I did.
Starr: But --
Marcie: Look, I promise you. Everything is going to be okay, okay? We together -- we will make sure that Tommy is placed with really good people, okay?
Starr: "Good people"? They're strangers.
Marcie: If you do this, you're going to have to testify against your dad.
Starr: I'm sorry -- what?
Marcie: Do you think you can do that?
Starr: Look, I -- I really didn't realize --
Marcie: Starr, a child is not removed from his home without a hearing. You live in that home, you know what's going on, so they're going to want to question you.
Starr: But --
Marcie: Starr, did you witness the abuse? Did you see your father hit Tommy? Look, I know -- I know that this is really hard for you. But if your dad is physically abusing Tommy, then that does not mean that he has the right to keep him just because he's his biological father. You don't want that, do you?
Starr: I want my father to lose his son forever. It would be better for Tommy and me and Jack if we were without our father forever.
Rex: Been dreaming of this -- kissing you, getting under those covers together. It's awful cold in that bed without you.
Adriana: Hmm -- even with that big comforter?
Rex: Oh, no substitute for cuddling.
Rex: But now I can look forward to bedtime again because you are back on American soil.
Adriana: For now.
Rex: "For now" what?
Adriana: I have to go back to Paris, Rex.
Rex: Why? When?
Adriana: Let's talk about it later.
Rex: But -- for how long? How long till I miss you again?
Adriana: Oh, what difference does it make? I'm here now -- so, make the most of it.
John: How are you?
Gigi: I'm good. How are you?
John: Yeah, yeah, I'm good. How's Shane?
Gigi: He's fine, he's fine -- well, actually, he's a little sick today. But he's starting to make friends, and he's adjusting to his new life here.
John: Well, I'm glad -- I mean, about adjusting, not the sick thing.
Gigi: He talks about you all the time. I said we'd come visit you soon.
John: Yeah? Yeah, I'd like that, he's a good kid. It must be pretty tough over there at Mrs. Davidsonís.
John: I know he got pretty used to that luxury that is chateau John.
Gigi: Yeah -- well, um, there is -- you know, there's a little bit more space at Llanfair.
John: Hmm, yeah. It's nice over there. Is Ramsey giving you any more trouble? Let me know if he does.
Gigi: I will, sure.
John: Look, I got to ask. I'm still not quite clear on why you're staying in town now that Ramsey's the commissioner.
Gigi: I have my reasons. I better get back to work because, you know, I work here now.
John: Okay. Take care.
John: Yeah, McBain. Really? I'll be right there.
Ramsey: You should share your needs with a shrink. You bore everyone else.
Todd: It's okay, I'm not going anywhere.
Ramsey: Yes you are.
Todd: Hey, Leonard! My man, how's it going? It's good to see you. Okay, so, listen, this guy entered my apartment on false pretenses. I'd like him removed.
Ramsey: Uh-uh. Your directive doesn't mean anything to this guy.
Todd: All right, how much you want for it?
Ramsey: Not for sale.
Todd: Oh, come on, Ramsey. Everyone has their price -- what's yours?
Ramsey: Leonard, please escort him out of the building.
Todd: Come on, Leonard, what are you talking about, man? Do you remember Christmastime -- all that jack I gave you?
Leonard: Mr. Ramsey is the owner of the apartment now and you have to leave, Mr. Manning.
Todd: Okay, hold on, hold on, hold on. Yes? When? Yeah, all right, I'll be right there, okay. Yes, I'll be right there. It's fine. I'm going to have this place back. You're going to sell it to me. You're going to take my money, Ramsey, sell me my apartment.
John: What's the matter, Jones doesn't pay you enough?
Shaun: Mr. Manning pays me double.
John: It figures.
Marcie: Thanks for coming.
John: Sure. What's going on?
Marcie: We need to file a police report.
Marcie: Starr told me that her father is abusing Tommy.
John: Are you sure about this?
Marcie: Oh, honey, I'm so sorry. Were we too loud? Did we wake you up?
Shane: It's okay.
Shane: But why are so many people here?
John: Hey, buddy, what's going on?
Shane: I'm not feeling so well.
Marcie: Well, which is why he's here. I told Gigi that I would watch him because she has a new job today.
John: Ah, okay.
John: Well, you know what? I want to -- I want to speak to Starr on her own for a second if that's okay?
Marcie: Yeah, of course. Starr, you just tell John exactly what you told me, okay? All right, come on, buddy. Let's get you back to bed, okay?
John: You sure about what you're saying is true?
Starr: Mrs. McBain said that Tommy would be put into a foster home?
John: Yeah, he would, and your dad would probably go to jail. So you need to be sure about what you're saying. Is this true, Starr?
Starr: I wanted him to pay, okay, for what he has done to me. I want him to hurt just as much as he's hurt me.
Natalie: Hey. How did it go with Rex?
Gigi: What do you mean?
Natalie: The case that he's working on for us -- what else would I mean?
Gigi: Oh. Right. Um -- he's on it, although he might not get it turned around tonight because Adriana just got back from Paris.
Natalie: Really? I thought she wasn't coming home for another week.
Gigi: I guess she couldn't wait to get back to him.
Natalie: That's nice. They're so happy and in love, about to be ďman and wife," although it's -- it's a little bizarre.
Gigi: Yeah? Why?
Natalie: Well, Rex -- you know, I -- I guess I just never really pictured him settling down. I didn't expect it from him, although he was married once before but it was very brief.
Gigi: He was married?
Natalie: Like I said --
Gigi: I didn't know that.
Natalie: It was brief. Anyway, he and Adriana are so happy and so in love and so serious and it's just -- it's just great. Okay, well, I've got a meeting with marketing. I'll see you later.
Jared: Gigi? You're here again?
Gigi: Yeah. If you're looking for Natalie, she just left for a meeting.
Jared: Oh. Thank you. Um -- you know what? Can you do me a favor? Uh -- I'm expecting a fax. Do you mind going to the fax room and just seeing if it showed up?
Gigi: You got it.
Jared: Thank you.
Natalie: What is going on here? This is the second time today that I've seen you messing around at my desk. Why don't you tell me what you're really up to?
Jared: Fine. I will.
Natalie: I'm waiting.
Jared: That tape that you made yesterday -- I'm trying to edit it. There's a -- uh -- a conversation with Nigel that I'm trying to erase, something I don't want you to hear.
Natalie: That's -- that's why you've been acting so strange. So what is it that you're hiding from me, Jared?
Jared: Nigel knows the truth about me.
Natalie: What does Nigel know about you?
Jared: My feelings.
Jared: For you. He's one of the only people who knows or knew -- um -- that I cared about you.
Natalie: I don't want to hear about this.
Jared: I know you don't, and I don't want you to. That -- that is why I was trying to delete that part of the conversation -- the part where I was talking to Nigel. He had asked me if I was, you know, happy to be a Buchanan now or if I'd, you know, preferred not to know so I could be with such an incredible woman like you.
Natalie: Well, it really doesn't matter what you would or wouldn't have done, okay, because it would've been -- it would've been wrong for us to have gotten together -- horribly, horribly wrong -- and, thank God, we figured out the truth before it went too far.
Jared: See, this is exactly what I was trying to avoid -- dredging all this up again. It was --
Natalie: So that's why you wanted to edit the conversation on the recording?
Jared: Yeah, that's the reason. You believe me, don't you?
Cristian: You're buying Capricorn from Antonio?
Blair: Oh, it's not a done deal yet because somebody could come right in and, you know, outbid me, but yeah.
Cristian: Well, as far as I know, there are no other offers.
Blair: And I have a really good agent. She told me whatever I've offered Antonio should get him out of debt and he won't have to lose his loft, so that's great.
Cristian: Listen, Blair, you know, I told you this whole thing with Antonio because I thought you should know and I thought that maybe you knew someone that might be interested, but I wasn't looking for a handout.
Blair: I know.
Cristian: Antonio's never going to go for this if he thinks it's charity.
Blair: It's not! This is about me -- I love to sing, I love Capricorn, I love singing at Capricorn, and I could use a little something more to do, you know? You don't look convinced here.
Cristian: Well, it's not that. I'm just surprised that Todd would --
Blair: What, let me buy Capricorn?
Cristian: No, no, that's not what I meant.
Blair: Yeah, it is. It's exactly what you meant -- I know. Well, let me tell you something, big guy -- Todd doesn't "let me" do anything. I do what I want, when I want, and how I want to do it, okay? Okay, and you know what? He doesn't even know that I'm doing this, so -- and he's not going to find out, either! Got it?
Cristian: Wow. I don't know what to say. I mean, this is great.
Blair: It is.
Cristian: I mean, if it all works out.
Blair: Yeah, it will, it will.
Cristian: Thank you so much.
Blair: Oh, you don't have to thank me -- okay, you can. Oh -- oh, yeah, that feels good -- okay, no, I'm kidding. It's going to be great, and it's about me, it's what I want to do, and we get to continue to work together, so it'll be good.
Cristian: Yeah, yeah, it's going to be nice -- even if we're stuck with Sarah, that is.
Sarah: I heard that!
Cristian: What are you doing back there? Come on out here. Wow.
Sarah: Blair --
Sarah: This is really fantastic, so exciting.
Blair: And I think it is. I mean, as long as you ease up on my length of my sets, I think it could work out.
Sarah: Deal. And as long as you show up on time and don't flake out, I can make sure the manager goes easy on you.
Blair: I think you have a little sway with him.
Blair: Okay, well, go take care of the "sexy beast." Don't wear him out.
Cristian: What was that about? What exactly were you talking to Blair about before I got here?
Sarah: How about I show you?
Starr: You know what? I'm sorry, I -- I really am. This is the last thing that I wanted. I don't want my little brother to be hurt, I don't want him to be put into foster care because of me. I just don't -- I don't want my dad messing up his life, I don't want him to ruin it like he's ruining mine.
John: I don't think this is about Tommy. I think this is about Starr and Cole.
Marcie: What do you mean?
Starr: I'm sorry, Marcie, I -- I didn't mean to do this to you. My dad has messed up my life and I don't want him doing that to my little brother, too.
Marcie: Are you saying you lied to me, Starr? You lied to me about your father beating Tommy?
Starr: I had to, okay? He is a horrible person! I hate him and I want him to hurt.
[Knock on door]
Todd: Starr, are you in there? Starr, open the door.
Starr: What are you doing here, Dad? How did you know I was here?
Todd: How do you think I found out you were here? My homeboy called me the minute McBain showed up. Thank you.
