Cristian: Do you really mean it? You're not going to quit the DA's office?

Evangeline: No. I heard what you said.

Cristian: Good, because it's a nice job. And you quitting -- that won't be helping me.

Evangeline: I want Nora and everyone else that works in that office to have to face me every single day, and when you're found innocent, I'm going to be standing there cheezin'.

Cristian: Well, I -- I'd still have to find out who's setting me up, though.

Evangeline: You already know who set you up. it's Vincent. You still believe that, don't you?

Vincent: You're telling me you have a building and it's been torched?

Antonio: Burned to the ground.

Vincent: Well, welcome to my world, Detective.

Antonio: Well, not exactly. You see, my brother was in custody, so I know -- I know for a fact he didn't set those fires.

Aaron: Let me see if I have this right. Your brother got arrested and your property went up in flames while he was in custody. Very convenient.

Antonio: You know, you are unbelievable.

Bo: Antonio --

Antonio: No, he's accusing me of burning down my own building.

Clint: Oh, Paige.

Paige: Viki. My gosh -- what happened?

Clint: She fell from her horse.

Paige: Did she lose consciousness?

Clint: Yeah, but just a few seconds.

Viki: it's my wrist and my dignity.

Paige: Well, we're going to fix the first one, and the second one was never in question. Let's get her into two, ok?

Michael: don't worry, we're going to take good care of her.

Clint: All right.

Dorian: Clint, how is Viki? Is she going to be all right?

Clint: Oh, just cut it out, would you?

Dorian: Cut what out?

Clint: The fake sympathy. You're the reason that she's here.

Adriana: You don't mean that, right, Rex? You don't know for sure who murdered Spencer Truman.

Rex: Yeah, I do.

Adriana: But that's -- you didn't tell Bo that.

Rex: Well, I couldn't.

Adriana: Why?

Rex: I don't think this person should go to jail for doing what is basically a public service.

Adriana: Rex, that's not your call.

Rex: Yeah? Well, I'm acting like it is.

Adriana: Ok, fine. So who is it? Who murdered Spencer Truman?

Lindsay: Where'd it go?

Marcie: It is pretty awful, isn't it?

Lindsay: You think so?

Marcie: Hmm.

Lindsay: You know, from everything I've read about Spencer Truman, it doesn't really seem like it's that big a loss.

Marcie: No, I wasn't talking about that. I mean, odds are whoever killed Spencer Truman -- someone that we know. What are you eating, huh?

Lindsay: It says here that the police are holding Rex.

Marcie: Yeah. They really didn't have a choice in the matter. They found Rex standing over Spencer Truman's body with the murder weapon in his hand.

Lindsay: Do you think he did it?

Marcie: No -- no. Lindsay, he couldn't have done it. I mean, he's Tommy's godfather. Besides, Michael talked to him and he's pretty sure Rex didn't

it, you know? Here you go.

Lindsay: Why would he be standing over his body with the murder weapon in his hand?

Marcie: I -- I don't know. You don't want -- do not want? I don't know.

Lindsay: Well, don't you think Rex of all people would know better than that? Come on.

Marcie: I kind of get the feeling like Rex is trying to protect somebody.

Lindsay: Oh. Well, it must be somebody he really cares about.

Marcie: Yeah.

Adriana: Come on, Rex. Who do you think murdered Spencer Truman?

Rex: Not "think." I know who did it. I was telling Bo the truth when I said the killer was gone when I went into Blair's hospital room. And Bo was right when he
said that I picked up the bloody scissors to protect somebody.

Adriana: How did that protect this person?

Rex: Well, I made sure the only clean prints on the scissors --

Adriana: Were yours.

Rex: Oh, well -- yeah. I didn't have enough time to clean off the scissors before Antonio and Bo showed up. Everything happened so damn fast.

Adriana: Picking up bloody scissors -- I mean, you would not do that for just anyone.

Rex: No.

Adriana: I mean, you took a huge risk. They could've arrested you right then and there.

Rex: When Bo told me to lawyer up, I thought that's what was going to happen.

Adriana: So, this person must be pretty important to you. I mean, I probably even know them.

Rex: Adriana?

Adriana: What?

Rex: Knock it off. I'm not telling you who it is.

Marcie: So, what are you doing here in the middle of the night reading a newspaper?

Lindsay: Well, beats reading a newspaper by myself at home.

Marcie: Ok. Open my mouth and insert my foot. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to --

Lindsay: it's ok.

Marcie: Still, sorry, you know? I haven't been there for you since you broke up with R.J. I -- I should've called and I --

Lindsay: Well, hey, you got a life and a husband and a child and things to do and, besides, I didn't break up with him. He dumped me.

Marcie: Yeah? Well, the man obviously has absolutely no taste whatsoever. You going to be ok?

Lindsay: Yeah.

Marcie: Yeah?

Lindsay: It was hard at first, but, you know, I'm starting to get a fresh perspective. In fact, yeah, I definitely am ready to move on.

Dorian: it's not my fault if Viki doesn't know how to handle a horse.

Clint: Oh, first you spook the animal, now you're insulting Viki?

Dorian: Uh -- I beg your pardon? Pow! Pow, pow!

Viki: What, what, what, what.

Clint: Viki!

Dorian: It was an accident.

Clint: Scare the horse. What the hell did you think was going to happen?

Dorian: Well, I -- I was just kidding around.

Clint: Oh.

Dorian: You know? Really, a should get a new trainer for those horses.

Clint: Now, you can't lay this off on Asa trainer.

Dorian: I am not trying to lay this off on anyone except the horse, who was skittish.

Clint: What happened was you were jealous of Viki, you made sure that she got hurt, and I haven't seen behavior like that since junior high.

Dorian: I came here because I was worried about Viki, because I -- I was hoping, praying that she wasn't seriously injured.

Viki: Oh -- ok, yes, it hurts. Oh, yes, it hurts.

Clint: Happy?

Cristian: I don't know if I think Vincent was behind this anymore.

Evangeline: Well, if it wasn't Vincent, who was it?

Cristian: You said Vincent's lawyer was a publicity whore. Well, Vincent and I have been at each other's throats before and it was in the paper. And maybe when this whole fire thing started happening, started whispering in Vincent's ear about me? I don't know, it -- may be that.

Evangeline: I don't know. Vincent, he -- he really thought you were guilty before he even hired Aaron. And as much as I hate to say it, Aaron's really just doing his job. he's angling for reasonable doubt.

Cristian: Well, hey, if that's what being a defense attorney includes, I'm glad you're out of it.

Evangeline: Hey. Being sleazy is not a job requirement, at least it wasn't when I was a defense attorney.

Cristian: I know, I know. I'm sorry.

Evangeline: You know, I was so sure that Ted started that first fire and that he got killed because somehow or another, he screwed up and he got trapped

Cristian: Trying to get the insurance money for Vincent?

Evangeline: Or Vincent set Ted up because Ted told you that Vincent fixed the Abbott fight. And then the second fire happened.

Cristian: Well, Aaron Connelly wasn't on Vincent's payroll when Ted got killed. Maybe the second fire was his idea, trying to get the heat off Vincent.

Evangeline: Literally.

Cristian: And put it on me.

Evangeline: You know, it started when you left the police station. Both Aaron and Vincent heard you say you were going to go for a walk, so they would've known you wouldn't have an alibi.

Cristian: It has to be one of them.

Evangeline: Because you don't have any other enemies. Do you?

Cristian: No, not that I know of.

Guard: They want you back upstairs, Vega.

Evangeline: Why?

Guard: Beats me. Let me see your hands.

Antonio: You think I'd be so stupid as to set fire to my own property? You must be confusing me with your client.

Aaron: Look, I just said --

Bo: No, nothing, nothing. You're not saying anything. What property is this?

Antonio: it's an old building I -- I bought with my inheritance.

Aaron: that's Santi money, right? And you're making accusations about my client?

Bo: What part of "shut up" don't you understand? Now, officer Sahid, do we know for a fact that when that fire broke out, Cristian Vega was in custody?

Talia: Yes, I double-checked after we got the call. He was here, not to mention the MO fit the exact profile of the three fires set at his properties.

Aaron: That fire just happened. How can they know that already?

Talia: The arson squad checked for turpentine as the accelerant -- they found it.

Guard: Here he is, Commissioner.

Bo: Good. Take those cuffs off him.

Cristian: What's going on?

Antonio: There was another fire.

Evangeline: Just now?

Nora: Just now.

Cristian: Was it another one of Vincent's properties?

Antonio: No, it was my property. It was the building across the park.

Cristian: How bad was it?

Antonio: Total loss. Luckily, it was empty. Nobody got hurt.

Cristian: Yeah, yeah. Thank God, huh?

Aaron: Aren't you listening to this? They'll be taking out their hankies next.

Vincent: Damn it, Aaron. He said shut up!

Cristian: Ok, so what does this mean?

Nora: It means the fires have a pattern and you no longer fit the profile.

Bo: You're free to go, Cristian.

Evangeline: Thank God.

Cristian: So what about you, Vincent? You still think I'm guilty?

Adriana: You know you can trust me, right?

Rex: If I didn't know that by now, I'd be an idiot.

Adriana: So why don't you tell me what you know?

Rex: When I walked in on that scene in Blair's hospital room, everything changed.

Adriana: Because you know who murdered Spencer?

Rex: And because I can't give that person up. Bo's got a sixth sense about stuff like this. He knows that I'm keeping something from him. If he thinks that I
told you something, he will bring you in for questioning.

Adriana: I wouldn't say anything.

Rex: He will arrest you for withholding evidence, perjury. If you are aware of the killer's identity and you do not come forward with it, that makes you an
accessory after the fact.

Adriana: can't they charge you with all those things?

Rex: I'm already in this thing up to my eyeballs. You're not. That's the way it's going to stay.

Adrian but I'm involved with you.

Rex: Maybe -- maybe you shouldn't be.

Adriana: Did you just say what I think you said?

Vincent: Wow. You know, Cristian, I think Natalie's right. I don't think you started any of those fires.

Aaron: What?

Vincent: Commissioner Buchanan?

Bo: Yes?

Vincent: I will not be suing the city anymore.

Antonio: Officer Sahid? Why don't you and I go process my brother's release papers?

Talia: Sure.

Aaron: You're the DA.

Nora: Mm-hmm.

Aaron: What do you think of this?

Nora: I don't think we have a case against Cristian.

Aaron: Because of a fire in detective Vega's own building? Am I the only one here who thinks one of these things is not like the others?

Vincent: Hey, Aaron? I said I won't be pressing charges.

Aaron: I don't care what you said. This isn't over.

Vincent: Vega, Vega, Vega. Can I ask you something?

Cristian: Sure.

Vincent: You know, when you first heard that your brother's building was torched, did you think it was me, trying to get even?

Cristian: Nope.

Vincent: Oh. No hard feelings, then, huh?

Cristian: I wouldn't go that far.

Talia: Cristian? We need your signature.

Evangeline: Um -- excuse me. Bo, do you mind if I speak with Nora for a moment privately?

Bo: Sure.

Evangeline: And -- um -- thank you.

Bo: Oh. Antonio, you think you can wrap things up here?

Antonio: Yeah, yeah, I got it.

Bo: Yeah, I'm running late as it is.

Antonio: Take off.

Bo: All right, thanks.

Antonio: Yep.

Bo: Hey, Cristian? I'm glad it's over.

Cristian: Thanks. Me, too. I need to get out of here.

Bo: All right, come on. I'll walk you to the desk where you can reclaim your --

Antonio: All right.

Bo: Belongings.

Nora: So, you want to come back to the DA's office, huh?

Evangeline: Well, I don't think there's any coming back when someone wouldn't accept my resignation.

Nora: Ah, that's true.

Evangeline: Mm-hmm.

Nora: Yeah.

Evangeline: But before I do, we need to get a few things straight.

Nora: Ok.

Dorian: You know, as a physician, I think Viki's cry of pain is a very good sign.

Clint: How?

Dorian: It means that she doesn't have a head injury and that she's alert and in full control of her faculties.

Viki: Dorian, damn it!

Dorian: Oh.

Clint: Yeah, I guess she's in control.

Dorian: I -- you cannot seriously think that I wanted to physically harm her.

Clint: No, I don't. Dorian, you are vindictive, you're conniving, but I believe that you draw the line at violence.

Dorian: Yes. I do have my standards, after all.

Clint: Yeah, except for the occasional slap across the face and a little hair pulling.

Dorian: I am only human.

Clint: Yeah. You know, so far, Viki hasn't said anything about filing charges.

Dorian: Of course she won't.

Clint: Does that mean there's no reason for you to stay here?

Dorian: Oh. Ok, I get it. You ride horses, albeit English saddle. And I don't normally spook the horses.

Clint: Yeah. And?

Dorian: Well, you and I -- perhaps we could go on a moonlight ride some night.

Clint: Now you're pushing your luck.

Dorian: Oh. He'll call.

Michael: We're going to need to get a CT scan of your head.

Paige: You might have a concussion.

Viki: Ok.

Clint: What about the arm?

Michael: Well, we have to wait for the x-rays to come back, but I suspect that you've just badly sprained your wrist.

Paige: I'm sorry about that examination. I know it hurt.

Viki: Yeah, it hurt -- oh, whoa.

Clint: You all right, Viki?

Viki: No -- you know what? I am mad. I am really, really, really mad! I am not going to let Dorian get away with this.

Evangeline: I didn't want to say this to Cristian, but this may not be over.

Nora: Oh, of course not. I mean, being -- being released because of lack of evidence is not like getting cleared.

Evangeline: But we both know that Antonio would not lie about what happened to his own building.

Nora: Connelly's not going to let this go, no matter what Vincent wants him to do.

Evangeline: Well, I know Cristian is innocent and nothing's going to shake my confidence in him.

Nora: Good. And then you'll just stay clear of the case, see? isn't that just so much better than quitting out of protest?

Evangeline: Ah. That's actually what Cristian said.

Nora: Oh, he's so smart.

Evangeline: Mm-hmm.

Nora: You're a really good lawyer and I didn't want to lose you. And you're a really good friend and I don't want to lose you. I like working with you.

Evangeline: I've liked it, too.

Nora: Ok. Well, in the illustrious words of Mr. Jones, "No hard feelings," and don't be a jerk like your boyfriend and say you wouldn't go that far.

Evangeline: Well, Cris may, but I don't. No hard feelings, my friend.

Nora: Oh, my friend. Ok. Come on.

Evangeline: Ok.

Nora: Ok. So, I -- where'd everybody go?

Antonio: Everybody took off. Officer Sahid and I are getting ready to check out. We're going to go to Rodi's for a beer. You want to join us?

Nora: Oh, I'd love to. I got to -- I got to check on a few more cases, though.

Evangeline: But I'll go. You know, I'll just go find Cristian.

Talia: No, left.

Evangeline: What?

Antonio: Yeah. He seemed pretty anxious. He probably -- probably went home.

Evangeline: Without me?

Antonio: Well, he -- he went out the other way. He probably just didn't see you.

Evangeline: Now, why would he do that?

Michael: Well, you lucked out, Viki. No concussion, no broken ribs --

Viki: Oh, good.

Michael: And as I suspected, you've really badly sprained your wrist.

Viki: Well, that's all right. Clint, did Asa's groom get the horses back all right?

Clint: Oh, yeah, I called him. He got them, everything's fine. Paige, I want to thank you for waiting with us.

Paige: Oh, it was my pleasure. I'm going to go meet your brother at Rodi's.

Clint: Oh, ok.

Viki: Thank you, Paige.

Paige: You're welcome.

Michael: I am going to go and write you a scrip for a painkiller. I'll be right back, and when I get back, we'll wrap that wrist.

Viki: Well, let me tell you that Dorian is going to need a painkiller when I get through with her.

Clint: Listen, are you planning on making an issue out of this?

Viki: Yes, I am!

Clint: All right, all right.

Viki: I am sick to death of her -- of her rotten, stupid cracks all the time, the fact that she shows up whenever you and I are together, especially at private
family events! And I'm sick of her phony concern, and more than anything, I am sick of trying to be decent and above it all. Think she has this room bugged?

Clint: No, but only because she didn't have the time.

Viki: Well, that's a damn shame because I'd love for her to hear this. Dorian, that's it! No more Mr. Nice guy. I have had it with you!

Lindsay: Hi.

Dorian: Hi, yourself. You certainly took your time getting here.

Lindsay: Well, I was so surprised you asked to meet here. I actually stopped by The Palace just to make sure I wasn't mistaken.

Dorian: I wanted to meet somewhere where I didn't know anyone. You think that bartender knows how to make a decent martini?

Lindsay: No, I really don't, but I'm sure he can whip us up a couple of good beers.

Dorian: Oh.

Lindsay: What's wrong?

Dorian: Everything.

Lindsay: Could you be more specific?

Dorian: Clint took Viki out on a date. Mm-hmm -- horseback riding, in the park.

Lindsay: Oh. How romantic.

Dorian: Hey, knock it off. Anyway, now I just happened to be in the park and so I ran into them, you see.

Lindsay: And what were you doing in the park? Were you feeding the squirrels again?

Dorian: Hey, you know, it's an attitude like that that explains why you are alone.

Lindsay: I'm sorry.

Dorian: No, you're not sorry. Anyway, now Clint's angry at me, and it's all Viki's fault.

Lindsay: Really?

Dorian: Yes.

Lindsay: How?

Dorian: I was being friendly -- you know, just kind of kidding around and one of the horses got spooked. Viki probably did something wrong.

Lindsay: Right. Viki made the horses skittish. Yeah. Ok, then what happened?

Dorian: Well, she fell off the stupid horse and -- and was taken to the emergency room. Now Clint is blaming me -- he won't talk to me. Oh. Lindsay, please, you
have got to help me.

Adriana: Are you breaking up with me?

Rex: Not because I want to. Things might get dicey. I'm trying to keep you out of trouble.

Adriana: This is crazy, Rex. Look, just tell me who you think murdered Spencer and we'll figure out together how to handle it.

Rex: Sorry, I can't.

Adriana: Yes, you can. You're just trying to be heroic.

Rex: So let me.

Adriana: No. Ok, because I can help you. You have to talk to somebody about this and we know everything about each other.

Rex: Well, not everything.

Adriana: What is that supposed to mean? Look, you told me about Michael and Marcie having Todd's baby and I didn't spill that.

Rex: I should've kept my big mouth shut.

Adriana: Ok, what if you don't tell me and I just ask questions?

Rex: What difference does that make?

Adriana: Look, you're acting the way you did when you told me about the baby, so does Tommy have anything to do with Spencer's murder?

Rex: Yeah -- it was Tommy. He beat Spencer to death with his sippy cup.

Adriana: Funny. Look, Blair told me that Todd nearly killed Spencer because Spencer wouldn't give up what he did with Todd's son. Is it Todd?

Rex: Todd would've never left Blair lying in the same room as Spencer's body.

Adriana: Ok, it's not Todd, but it's somebody that you care enough about to lie to Bo. Natalie?

Rex: No.

Adriana: Am I getting warm?

Rex: I'm not telling you.

Adriana: Rex, look. You can't carry the burden of this all by yourself. You're a good man and I know that whoever you're protecting, you wouldn't protect them if you didn't think they deserved to be protected. I just want to help you look out for whoever it is that did this.

Rex: You were right before -- it's about the baby.

Adriana: But it's not Todd. So it can only be --

Rex: Michael McBain. He killed Spencer.

Aaron: D.A. Hanen.

Nora: Ah, Mr. Connelly. You're still here.

Aaron: Yeah --

Nora: Oh.

Aaron: Because I can't believe what just happened.

Nora: Oh, well, you really need to talk to your client about that. After all, he was the one that dumped you, so --

Aaron: that's because he doesn't understand the depth of the conspiracy.

Vincent: Oh, really? How about you just lay it on out for me, huh?

Nora: Yeah, I would be interested in hearing this myself.

Aaron: A short time after Antonio's brother is arrested and charged with being an arsonist, Antonio's own property goes up in flames. And guess what -- Antonio's brother goes free and Antonio collects his insurance. Now, the commissioner was so busy slapping the Vegas on the back that he didn't see through
something that was so obvious.

Nora: Mm-hmm. You know what -- you don't know Lieutenant Vega. The Commissioner and I do.

Aaron: don't you have a responsibility to the public? Do you just do what Bo Buchanan says?

Nora: I'm going to pretend I didn't hear you say that.

Aaron: Let's get out of here, go someplace we can talk.

Vincent: Well, we actually have nothing else to talk about.

Aaron: The hell we don't.

Vincent: I beg your pardon, because I don't talk to people after I fire them, and you're -- fired.

Aaron: Excuse me?

Shaun: You heard the man, Counselor. You ed somebody to show you the way out?

Aaron: No.

Shaun: I'll take that as a yes.

Aaron: Take your hands off me.

Shaun: don't worry, Counselor. Your check is in the mail.

Antonio: You mind if I get this one?

Talia: No. Thank you.

Antonio: Thanks, Billy. Bill thanks.

Talia: I heard you don't go out much anymore, especially since you got married.

Antonio: Hmm. Is that what you heard?

Talia: Uh-huh.

Antonio: Well, I thought I'd -- I'd put some thought into what I was going to tell my wife about that building of mine burning down.

Talia: Why, because it was arson?

Antonio: Well, because, you know, she worries about me and she might think it was personal.

Talia: Yeah, but it doesn't have to be about you. Maybe somebody had something against the businesses that rented the space in your building.

Antonio: Well, that -- that could be or maybe the same person that's trying to set up my brother is coming after me, too.

Talia: Well, hopefully we'll find a lead and we'll figure out who's behind all this, soon.

Antonio: Yeah. I wish I could help.

Talia: No, but it's better that you're off the case, yeah?

Antonio: Yeah. I hate lawyers.

Talia: I noticed.

Antonio: Yeah, well, thanks for, you know, keeping me from quitting.

Talia: You're welcome. Llanview PD -- it's a good job. I -- you know, I really like this town.

Antonio: Mm-hmm?

Talia: I like the Commissioner. I really like everyone I work with, actually.

Antonio: Yeah. Yeah, where were you before this?

Talia: I was on the job in Manhattan.

Antonio: Oh, yeah? What precinct?

Talia: The sixth.

Antonio: Lower Manhattan. Rough?

Talia: Uh, it was ok, um, until 9/11.

Dorian: You know, Lindsay, I could teach you some very valuable life lessons.

Lindsay: Really?

Dorian: Never give up.

Lindsay: Well, you know, I think sometimes it's just better to cut your losses.

Dorian: Who told you that?

Lindsay: What are you going to do about Clint?

Dorian: I'm going to get him to forgive me the same way I've come up with a way to get Adriana to forgive me, as well.

Lindsay: Oh, you've figured out a way to get her to do that?

Dorian: Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. See, she will forgive me anything if I can help convince the police that Rex had nothing to do with Spencer Truman's death.

Lindsay: Oh. So you're going to use your powers for good.

Dorian: it's all relative.

Lindsay: Well, look, my daughter was in love with him, so I don't want to see anything bad happen to Rex.

Dorian: I don't want anything bad to happen to Rex, either. I once did, but not now that I know he can be so useful to me and to you.

Lindsay: Me?

Dorian: Yes. You see, Bo is very, very fond of the boy. So, anyone who helps the boy is going to -- [Dorian chuckles] Will be very, very dear to Bo -- I mean, very

Lindsay: You're assuming that I want to score points with Bo.

Dorian: Let's not play games. With a little luck, we could be sisters-in-law. Oh, no.

Lindsay: What?

Dorian: Oh. Of all the gin joints in all the world, they had to walk into this one?

Lindsay: Huh. it's all right. If they ask me, I could just say that we were over here talking about you buying a painting from me.

Dorian: Yeah, sure, sure. I always talk about important things over hotdogs and cheese fries. it's so like me. Lindsay? You know you want Bo. You want him as
much as I want Clint, and if we both play our cards right, we can bag them both.

Cristian: I'm coming I'm coming. [Knocking] Damn it. [Knocking] Why didn't you use your key?

Evangeline: Why didn't you use your head?

Adriana: Are you absolutely sure it's Michael?

Rex: He was going like a bat out of hell away from Blair's hospital room. So when I went in, I found Truman -- or what was left of him.

Adriana: Why would he kill Spencer now?

Rex: Right before it happened, Michael came over to my place and forced me to tell him the truth about Tommy.

Adriana: Why?

Rex: Truman had been babbling on about it to him. I had to tell him that Tommy was Todd's biological son. He killed Spencer to keep him quiet.

Adriana: Oh, my God.

Rex: Situation reeks and I caused it.

Adriana: No -- Spencer caused it. You just kept it going.

Rex: And now Michael has to live with it. He has to wake up every morning knowing that he killed a man to keep from losing his son.

Adriana: Does he know you know?

Rex: Michael came to visit me in jail and we just sort of talked around it, but he knows. And he knows I know he knows. And he knows I kept the secret about
Tommy and I will keep quiet about this, too.

Adriana: Do you ever wonder if you should've told everyone about Tommy when you first found out?

Rex: Yeah. But if I had, Marcie and Michael would've lost Tommy, and Spencer would still be going strong.

Adriana: You did the right thing.

Rex: Can you keep this to yourself?

Adriana: I have to. Michael deserves to be Tommy's father and Spencer deserved to die.

Marcie: Hey.

Michael: Hey!

Marcie: Hi. Reinforcements are here.

Michael: You brought me junk food?

Marcie: I did.

Michael: Oh, I love junk food.

Marcie: Yeah, well, when we walked past cardiology, the alarms went off. Uh, hello -- can you say hello to me?

Michael: Yeah. Hi, sweetie. Boy, you're up pretty late, huh, big guy?

Marcie: Yeah, well, he took a three-hour nap this afternoon and there was no way he was going to go down early. [Marcie chuckles] it's pretty quiet in here.

Michael: Yeah, it is. Big event tonight was Clint brought Viki in with a sprained wrist.

Marcie: Oh, no.

Michael: Yeah.

Nurse: And nothing like last night, right? Could you believe all those cops?

Marcie: You were here last night? I thought you told me that you were with John.

Evangeline: You just left me standing in the middle of the police station?

Cristian: Well, you were talking to Nora. I didn't know how long that was going to take.

Evangeline: Oh.

Cristian: And I needed to get that jail smell off of me.

Evangeline: You couldn't even say goodbye -- how about that?

Cristian: We, you looked --

Evangeline: "Bye, Evangeline"?

Cristian: Like you were having a pretty, pretty intense conversation.

Evangeline: About yo Cristian.

Cristian: Wait a minute. What?

Evangeline: I was standing up for you!

Cristian: Wait. Wait! Look, I'm out of jail. You got your job back. Why are we yelling?

Evangeline: It was really scary, ok? It wouldn't have just been arson -- it could've been man one or murder two, Cristian.

Cristian: don't you think I know that?

Evangeline: Ok, I'm sorry for jumping down your throat.

Cristian: And I'm sorry I -- I took off without you. You know, the shower's running.

Evangeline: Hmm. Well, it's not good to waste water.

Cristian: So true, so true. But if two people were in there at the same time --

Evangeline: We would be doing our bit for the environment.

Cristian: Damn, you're so smart, baby. Oh. Same smart girl.

Evangeline: Cristian. Que sea la primera y ultima vez que me deje solo. Entiendes?

Cristian: Ok, ok.

Clint: Hi, guys.

Viki: Hi.

Paige: Hey.

Lindsay: Clint and Viki are here and her arm's in a sling.

Dorian: She is so working this.

Bo: How is the other guy?

Viki: Oh, not nearly as bad as she is going to be when I get through with her.

Bo: Uh-oh. Now, am I going to have to keep an eye on you?

Clint: Yeah, I think so. Dorian spooked Viki's horse, Viki fell off.

Bo: Really?

Clint: Yeah.

Bo: Well, if you're going to square off against Dorian, all I have to say is go for it.

Dorian: Lindsay, can you read lips?

Lindsay: No.

Dorian: Then stop staring at them and tell me -- are you in or you out?

Lindsay: Stop being a bitch.

Dorian: I am not being a bitch. I'm just a woman on a mission.

Antonio: You know, I've read just about every book, seen just about every documentary, but it must've been horrific experiencing it firsthand.

Talia: It was.

Antonio: You lose any friends?

Talia: You know, if you don't mind, I really don't like to talk about it

Antonio: Of course.

Talia: Thank you for the beer

Vincent: Excuse me.

Nora: Yeah?

Vincent: Can we offer you a ride somewhere?

Nora: Oh. Thank you, but I -- I have my own car.

Vincent: Ok. Good night, then.

Nora: Good night. Hey, Vincent?

Vincent: Yeah?

Nora: I may have underestimated you.

Vincent: Why?

Nora: Because your attorney -- he was planning on continuing with this and you got him to stop.

Vincent: Hmm. Well, sometimes, you know, you just got to go with your gut.

Nora: Right.

Vincent: Yeah.

Nora: Right. Well, I promise you I'm going to find who did this. I'm going to get the guy who burned your buildings down. it's not over.

Vincent: Good. I just hope nobody else dies.

Michael: I wasn't here, Marcie.

Marcie: She sounded to me like she saw you.

Michael: Well, I -- I was here during the day. She probably just assumed that I was here when Spencer bought it. I was with John -- you know that.

Marcie: Yeah. Yeah.

Michael: Ok.

Marcie: You know what, Michael, it's just that --

Michael: What?

Marcie: Look, you're going to be a suspect in Spencer's murder, ok? Spencer killed your dad. I need to know that your alibi is solid, Michael. I need to know

Michael: It is. Now, I -- I think that the junk food's getting cold.

Marcie: Yeah. Right.

Rex: Can you do this, or are you sorry I told you?

Adriana: I'm ok.

Rex: You don't look so good.

Adriana: What if the cops find out about Michael?

Rex: They're letting John go back to work so that he can assist in the investigation.

Adriana: They are?

Rex: I wonder wt he would do if he found out that the guy he was hunting for was his own brother.

On the next One Life to Live" --

Spencer's voice: I bet you're surprised to hear my voice, by now nothing Spencer Truman does really surprises you. So, consider this just another amazing
surprise, and this one -- it's a killer.
