Bo: Margaretís got to pull through.
Michael: Keep the fluids wide open, set up for a peritoneal lavage. I'm getting a neuro response.
Spencer: Sheís responsive. What did she say?
Michael: She said "Spencer."
Spencer: Sheís calling my name?
Bo: No, Spencer, you're not going anywhere near that woman.
Evangeline: Donít worry, Todd. Margaretís going to make it.
Todd: She has to.
Evangeline: Michaelís in there with her, not Spencer. He wonít let her die.
Todd: Thanks for being here with me.
Evangeline: Where else would I be?
Vincent: Come on, Vega. Heís open after the jab!
Rex: They got a heartbeat, think sheís going to make it.
Evangeline: I better get down there. Can you hand me my purse?
Todd: Make sure Truman keeps his hands off her.
Evangeline: You can count on me.
Todd: I know.
Bo: You're not needed in here. Dr. Mc Bain has everything under control.
Michael: Sheís crashing!
Spencer: All right.
Michael: Charging at 200. Clear.
Vincent: Ooh, yeah, itís over. Whoo!
Nurse: Itís over, doctor. Would you like to call it?
Blair: Spencer, well, why is he stopping?
Evangeline: Whatís happening?
Claudia: So, they said they're sorry, but we'll be able to board the plane pretty soon.
Claudia: I havenít been to California since before rehab. I love it there, especially wine country. This is going to be so exciting.
Nash: Just -- just curb it, all right? This isnít a vacation.
Claudia: I know. Itís business.
Nash: Yeah -- all business.
Claudia: Well, that doesnít mean I canít enjoy myself. And -- and I'm excited to be an investor. I mean, this is -- this is a new thing for me, Nash, and I'm sorry if I'm a little too animated for you.
Nash: Just -- just donít get ahead of yourself, all right? You invest in my vineyard if you like my vineyard.
Claudia: I know that. I'm not stupid.
Nash: No, you're not.
Claudia: Whatís your problem, Nash? You practically begged me to come to California with you, and now you're giving me attitude.
Claudia: Yeah, you're being a total jerk. And if we're going to be partners --
Nash: Business partners.
Claudia: I know. You donít have to beat it into my head.
Nash: I just want to make sure that we both understand each other.
Claudia: I know that you plan to go back to your girlfriend and baby, but that doesnít mean we canít be civil with each other. You were all about being friends when -- when you wanted to get me onboard, and if I canít be friends with my partner -- my business partner -- then maybe I should just walk away and take my money with me.
Antonio: Couldnít sleep?
Antonio: You all right?
Jessica: I donít know.
Antonio: Is it the integration?
Jessica: I'm so scared.
Antonio: I know, honey. I know, but if itís worth it, I'll be here for you.
Jessica: Oh, itís worth everything, but I'm not just scared for me.
Antonio: Your parents?
Jessica: They havenít even had a chance to grieve for Dukeís death and they've put their grief on hold, they've put their whole lives on hold for me.
Antonio: I know, I know. I know they've had a hard time.
Jessica: Whatís going to happen? Whatís going to happen if my mom canít deal with this?
Antonio: Vikiís been there before. I think she knows what sheís getting into. Anybody would be scared.
Jessica: Whatís going to happen if tomorrow destroys me?
Kelly: Kevin? All my stuff seems to be out on the front porch. Any idea why?
Kevin: Because you donít live here anymore.
Kelly: I'm not going to let you do this.
Kevin: Do what? Huh? Be an idiot and love you? I canít even say it, but I'm thinking about it, all the time.
Kelly: All right, fine. You can throw out all my stuff, but you're not throwing me out.
Kelly: No. Not until we talk.
Paige: Margaret. Mar--
Nurse: Itís ok.
Paige: It doesnít -- oh, I canít --
Nurse: I will give you a little something --
Paige: No, it --
Nurse: To help you relax.
Paige: It canít. No, mar-- Margaret.
Michael: Time of death, 8:53 P.M.
Evangeline: You did this, Spencer. You killed that woman.
Spencer: Do you have any idea how ridiculous that sounds, counselor?
Evangeline: Itís the truth.
Spencer: Well, the good commissioner here wouldnít even let me in the room.
Evangeline: Well, thatís convenient, but I know you did it. We all do. Isnít it ironic -- we're finally going to find out what Margaret knows and she dies? John, are you still here?
John: I'm here.
Evangeline: This monster is leaving a trail of bodies in his wake and the law isnít doing anything about it. This was not an accident, so letís not stand here pretending that it was. Spencer is a murderer! He killed that woman.
Blair: Evangeline, what are you talking about? Spencer wasnít in the van when it crashed. Spencer wasnít in the room when she died. If you werenít blind, you'd see that.
John: If Margaret remembered what happened, she took it to her grave.
Antonio: Tomorrow is not the end, ok? Itís the beginning and I'm not talking about a bad beginning. Itís the start of a new life for us. We're going to get past this and we're going to get past tomorrow and itís going stay right there, in the past.
Jessica: Ok. You have been so wonderful tonight, trying to lift my spirits and cheer me up, but I can see whatís going on around me.
Antonio: Oh, I see, really? And what do you see?
Jessica: I am seeing people tiptoeing around me, trying not to upset me. I see my parents hurt, destroyed, whispering about what to do next about me. Listen, I know that you worked really hard to make today wonderful and I love you for that, but I got to be honest with you -- I donít see a happy ending. I donít see anything even remotely close to a happy ending.
Antonio: Honey, I wish I could fix everything. I wish I could make everything go away, but I know I canít. Ok, but this afternoon, for a moment there, it felt like before. Alright? Before Nash, before Tess.
Jessica: There was no "before Tess." She has always been my protector. She keeps me safe because sheís stronger than me, and however much she says that she hates me, I know that she cares because she keeps a secret that I canít handle, the same secret that you're keeping from me and my parents are right now.
Antonio: Honey, we've gone over this.
Jessica: I know, I know. I understand why you canít tell me whatís on that tape. I'm going to have to face it anyway tomorrow, right? Hmm. I'm going to have to face Tess. I just pray to God that I'm stronger than her this time.
Nash: No, you're right. We should have a more amicable relationship and not -- not just because I donít want you to clip-clop away with your money. Sometimes I forget who I'm dealing with now.
Claudia: You mean the new-and-improved, fresher and scratch-resistant Claudia Reston?
Nash: "Scratch-proof." Something like that, yeah.
Claudia: Hmm. The new Claudia doesnít pull on daddyís shirt sleeve anymore. I want to be independent and this is a good start for me.
Nash: I hope so.
Claudia: I understand why you'd be hesitant -- because sometimes I forget that you're the new-and-improved and fresher Nash Brennan.
Nash: "Fresher"? You suggesting I wasnít always as -- fresh?
Claudia: See, this is good. We're beginning to open up. I'm starting to figure out who you are. You're trying to figure out who I am. We needed to do this before I went to California. And I am going to prove to you that we can be in the same room without some sort of ugly incident.
Kelly: This is where I live. Itís my home as much as it is yours.
Kevin: The only reason itís your home is because my mother felt sorry enough for you to let you live here, and how'd you repay her -- by breaking her heart.
Kelly: Stop it.
Kevin: You get somebody to put a roof over your head and then you find an ignorant fiancťe to dress you up and take you out. Oh, yeah, and then his son can slip his hand right up your skirt while no -- well, thereís nothing left to say, is there? I want you gone. Now! Get out of here!
Kelly: I'm not going anywhere. I'm tired, Kevin, and I'm broken and I'm not going to stand here and let you fire one more cheap, degrading shot at me.
Bo: All right, folks, letís not forget this is still an emergency room. If you wouldnít mind clearing out, I have some work to do.
Evangeline: Rex, could you get me out of here, please?
Rex: Mm-hmm, yeah.
John: Right here.
Evangeline: What am I supposed to tell Todd?
Rex: You tell him the only person who could possibly take down Truman is dead, this time for real.
Evangeline: I feel sick to my stomach. John, is this what itís like?
John: I'm not sure what you're asking.
Evangeline: All those years you've known that there was a murderer running around free and there wasnít one thing you could do about it.
Rex: But you can do something about this, Mc Bain.
John: What do you expect me to do?
Rex: Something -- I donít know. Do I look like a cop?
John: Why are you even here?
Evangeline: Ok, can we not do this here? We have to go tell Todd. Thanks.
John: Got it?
Spencer: Thank you.
Blair: Look, I was just telling the truth. You couldnít have killed Margaret. Itís -- itís impossible.
Todd: Hey, what'd she say? What'd she tell you? Whatís wrong?
Evangeline: She didnít make it.
Todd: Huh -- what do you mean?
John: Margaretís dead.
Todd: Again? She could take this act on the road.
Evangeline: No, Todd. Sheís really dead.
Todd: Ah, itís a trick or something.
Rex: We saw her die.
Evangeline: Todd, I donít even -- I donít even know what to say to you, Todd.
Todd: Get out, all of you.
Todd: Get out.
Evangeline: We're going to find a way to get through this.
Todd: Get out.
Rex: I want to see Truman burn just as much as anyone, but itís not going to happen today. Sorry.
Kelly: No one feels worse about what happened with Duke than I do.
Kevin: Really? I lost my son -- what did you lose, Kel? A lover? A one-night stand? A friend maybe? Not your son.
Kelly: How many times do I have to say I'm sorry?
Kevin: Well, sometimes sorry is not good enough, is it?
Kelly: Duke and I made a mistake, a terrible mistake, but that doesnít mean he didnít love you.
Kevin: Oh, well, I'll tell you what -- sleeping with my fiancťe is an odd way of showing it.
Kelly: You turned your back on him and you know it. You turned your back on me.
Kevin: So this is my fault now, huh? You take no responsibility at all?
Kelly: Thatís not what I meant.
Kevin: No, thatís not what you meant. What, Duke just came on to you, and because of me, you couldnít turn away? Is that it?
Kelly: Your son is dead, Kevin, and all you seem capable of doing is shoving Dukeís name deeper into the grave.
Kevin: Donít you say his name anymore -- you understand me? I donít want you saying his name. You get out of this house. Come on.
Jessica: I know I can always count on you.
Antonio: Good. Then donít worry, ok? Because thereís going to be plenty of people there supporting you, right? And Nash is gone, so if thereís a fight, I know you'll win. [Phone vibrates] Oh.
Nash: Hey, Tess -- uh -- Jessica. Itís me, Nash.
Cristian: That didnít take long.
Evangeline: I wasnít very far away when I called.
Cristian: Who drove you?
Evangeline: He left already.
Cristian: Look, I'm sorry about everything, Evangeline.
Evangeline: I know.
Cristian: Is there anything I can do?
Evangeline: Yeah -- let me hit something.
Cristian: Oh. Well, we're in the right place for that, thatís for sure. Come on. Watch your step. Watch your step -- up. There you go. All right.
Vincent: Hmm. Must be love, huh? Look at him, lucky guy. Beautiful woman. You know, I hear heís got this fine-looking ex-wife. Natalie something.
John: Is there a reason you're talking to me, Vince Jones?
Vincent: Vincent. And I'm impressed. You know, I'm not from around here.
John: But I'm from A.C. Still have friends there -- cops. They keep me up to date in all the local jersey riffraff.
Vincent: Ooh. That is cute, lieutenant Mc Bain.
John: So you know who I am, too.
Vincent: Oh, I make it my business to know all the muscle around here.
John: Why are you here?
Vincent: You know, I love it that you donít know. It makes for such a delicious meal.
Michael: I donít know, Bo. You know, she was starting to recover. All of a sudden, out of the blue, she coded.
Bo: Is that unusual?
Michael: Not necessarily, you know? She had massive internal injuries. She lost a lot of blood.
Bo: All right, look, I may have more questions for you later.
Michael: Well, you know where I'll be.
Bo: All right. Thanks a lot.
Spencer: I'm -- I'm going to go check on Dr. Mc Bain. Losing a patient like thatís pretty rough, you know?
Blair: Yeah, I understand.
Spencer: Will you wait here for me?
Spencer: Yeah. All right.
Bo: You may be fooling Spencer, you're not fooling me.
Blair: What are you talking about, Bo?
Bo: I'm talking about that little speech -- "Spencerís innocent, he didnít do anything wrong." You canít do this, Blair.
Blair: You think I have a choice?
Bo: Yeah, you have choices. You're making the wrong choice right now.
Blair: Well, somebody has to prove that Spencer set Todd up, Bo.
Bo: Not this way.
Blair: What are you -- are you the relationship police now? You going to arrest me for sleeping with the man?
Bo: Blair, you're teetering right on the edge of a cliff right now.
Blair: Do you know how close I came to letting that man in my life for good?
Bo: Yeah, and you're dealing with your feelings that you still have for him right now, and you canít keep going if you're pushing yourself this way or you're going to end up in some kind of a mental institution yourself. You're right on the breaking point right now.
Blair: This is not about me. I'm doing this for Todd. Todd?
Spencer: Manning, what in the hell are you doing?
Blair: Todd? My God. Spencer!
Spencer: I need assistance in the E.R. please, right away.
Blair: My God, heís bleeding!
Jessica: Why are you calling me?
Nash: Look -- um -- I'll be quick. I -- I know you got a lot to catch up on with Antonio. I'm just about to get on a plane. I was wondering if I could just hear Brennan.
Jessica: Well, sheís sleeping.
Nash: Well, could -- could you put the phone down beside her? Just -- just for a second. Just -- just before I go. Please, Jessica. Brennan? Sleep tight, baby girl. Daddy loves you. I love you.
Jessica: Itís me.
Nash: I heard her. She made a sound for me. Look, itís ok. Um -- you donít know how much that meant to me. Thank you, Jessica.
Jessica: Well, itís the least I could do. Good night, Nash. I owed him that.
Antonio: And now heís gone, ok? And he canít mess things up tomorrow. And heís taking the Restons with him.
Jessica: Everythingís changed. I -- I remember things that I -- I didnít before. Itís -- itís not like how it was before. When Tess was in control, I -- I didnít remember anything, but for the past few months, I remember. I remember the Restons threatening Tess. I remember Nash leaving town. I remember Duke dying.
Antonio: But you donít remember everything?
Jessica: No. Some things are a blur. Like -- like the home.
Antonio: Whose home?
Jessica: I donít think that it was any one personís home. It -- I think it was more like a retirement home.
Claudia: Some of my fatherís employees are here.
Claudia: Near the building by the door.
Nash: How did they know we were here?
Claudia: What does it matter? I mean, they are here, and if they see us get on the plane together, my father is going to be really mad, and we do not want to piss him off any more than he already is.
Nash: Ok, what we're going to do is figure out a way to get onto that plane without them seeing us. Um --
Claudia: They're -- they're blocking the door. Thereís no way! Ok, ok. Ok, I know. I'll take care of the guards. I'll get them out of the way. You take this flight, and I'll get on a later flight. And then I'll catch up with you on the left coast. Ok, partner?
John: Well, hereís the thing. I donít like smart-asses.
Vincent: Oh, what a surprise. Here, I thought you were the kind of guy that likes everybody.
John: What are you doing here?
Vincent: I'm here to see some friends -- who I believe may also be your friends.
John: Talking about Vega?
Vincent: Among others.
John: What others?
Vincent: Chill, Mc Bain. You donít want to cause yourself high blood pressure.
John: Look, whatever you're thinking about, I suggest you take a vacation instead.
Vincent: Oh, a vacation. I canít even remember the last time I took a vacation. No, itís always business. And I've taken an interest in Vega. And since I'm going to be here for a while, I thought maybe that you and I could hang, become pals, get to know each other.
John: Yeah, I donít see that happening.
Vincent: Hey, you know, you and I have a lot more in common than you think.
John: Donít count on it. I'm not your pal and never will be. You got business to do, stick to it and go home. Tell the pretty lady she left her jacket behind.
Evangeline: She had all the answers. They were right there in her head, and -- I just know, Margaret was the key to nailing Spencer.
Cristian: You think it really was an accident?
Evangeline: Come on. It was pretty coincidental if it was.
Cristian: Or Spencer is the luckiest guy on earth.
Evangeline: Oh, Cris, if only I had my eyes, I -- I could have en something. I know it, you know? Some small detail or some trace. Thereís always something. I really think I could have found it.
Cristian: Come here. Stay right there.
Evangeline: What are you doing?
Cristian: I'm going to show you how to see.
Todd: Stay away from me.
Spencer: Heís completely torn open -- all right, get him into the E.R. someone page Dr. Mc Bain, please?
Todd: Sheís not dead, Bo. He faked it. Sheís not dead.
Bo: She is dead, Manning.
Todd: Donít let him get away with it.
Blair: He said, donít let Spencer get away with it.
Michael: I was just paged. Manning took a fall?
Spencer: His incision has completely -- we got to put him back together.
Todd: Get this butcher away from me.
Michael: Yeah, I'll see what I can do.
Spencer: All right, Dr. Mc Bain, you can take over here.
Michael: I'm going to do your sutures, ok?
Blair: Spencer, is he all right?
Spencer: He'll be fine as long as you can keep him in bed. If I have to put restraints on him, Blair, I will. You understand?
Michael: You shouldnít be in here.
Blair: Itís ok. This will only take a second. I'm sorry about everything, but I'm going to make it right, ok?
Todd: No, he said --
Blair: No, I'm not talking about Spencer. I'm going to follow through --
Todd: No, he -- the doctor said you shouldnít be in here.
Todd: I donít want you in here.
Evangeline: This is insane.
Cristian: Maybe, but give it a shot anyway, just to shut me up. Come on. Hit it.
Evangeline: I canít see it.
Cristian: Am I going to have to make you mad? Come on. Hit it.
Evangeline: You happy?
Cristian: No, I wonít be happy until you hit it.
Evangeline: Then you're going to spend the rest of your life miserable.
Cristian: Oh, come on, Evangeline. Come on. Hit it.
Evangeline: I couldnít hit it when you were standing still. What makes you think I can hit it when you're moving around, Cris?
Cristian: Come on, you can do this. Come on.
Evangeline: You're really pissing me off.
Cristian: Thatís good, thatís good. Now take it out on the mitt. Come on.
Evangeline: I canít do it.
Cristian: And I canít accept that. Come on.
Evangeline: You donít have to accept it. You're not the one thatís blind.
Cristian: Come on, that would never stop the Evangeline I know. Hit the mitt. See? There you go. Thatís better. Just listen to my voice and listen for me to hit the mitt. I'm going to tap it lighter this time.
Evangeline: Oh, great, make it harder. Like itís not hard enough already. Thanks.
Cristian: No roundhouses, just jabs.
Cristian: Try it again. Ready? Hit it. See? Thatís it. There you go. Come on. There you go.
Evangeline: It was like Spencer didnít even care that Margaret died, you know?
Cristian: Hey, you go.
Evangeline: Of course he didnít. No, he wanted her to die, because she was going to send him to jail for the rest of his life. And Blair --
Cristian: Thatís a girl. Come on.
Evangeline: Sheís just standing there defending him, making snide comments about me, like I donít know whatís going on, because I'm blind. I know whatís going on. Cris, Spencerís getting away with murder. Heís getting away with murder. Strutting around like an arrogant --
Cristian: Ok. Ok, that -- thatís it. Oh.
Bo: Howís she doing?
Nurse: Sheís sedated. Tomorrow would be a better time to visit.
Bo: I wonít be long. Margaretís dead, Paige. And she took all her secrets with her. I know why you were protecting me because I saw the papers. They all made it look like I was the one framing Manning. But you donít have to worry. John and Hugh are working on it and they'll clear it up. So you donít have to worry about me.
Bo: Paige, we really need you right now. You are the only one who knows what Margaret knew. Honey, you're the only one that can stop Spencer.
Michael: I'm sorry, Blair. Itís time for you to go.
Spencer: You all right? Did he say anything?
Blair: He just said it was over between us.
Spencer: Well, how are you feeling about that?
Blair: It upset me when I saw him collapse. I mean, I know that heís going to be fine and thatís good. I mean, heís the father of my children.
Spencer: And heís never going to stop believing that I'm responsible for his murder conviction.
Blair: Oh, heís obsessed. Heís definitely obsessed about that. Heís more obsessed than David is about that.
Spencer: It seems to be the general consensus around here, doesnít it? What do you think?
Blair: That the woman who tortured me and my family is finally dead. Spencer, I -- I just want to go home. Will you take me home? Please?
Kelly: You have no right to do this.
Kevin: I want you out of my house, out of Buchanan Enterprises, and out of my life. Get out of here!
Kelly: You know, itís amazing. You used to be my whole world. That seems like such a long time ago, Kevin. I used to not think I could go on without you. But now I know I canít go on with you.
Man: Where'd she go?
Second man: How'd you lose her?
First man: Me? You were supposed to be watching her.
Second man: Come on, letís go.
Nash: Hey, Bruce, itís me, Nash. Yeah, I'm just about to get on a flight to Napa. I should be there in about eight hours.
Claudia: Oh, thatís them! That one grabbed me from behind and that one ripped open my blouse!
Man: What are you talking about? We didnít touch her.
Second man: We work for her father.
Officer: Both of you, turn around and up against the wall.
Man: You guys have no idea what you're doing.
Officer: Yeah, you're wrong. We know what we're doing. We're arresting you for sexual assault.
Nash: Claudiaís going to be delayed. Yeah. No, I know we're tight for time, but donít worry. Sheís going to invest. You just take care of your side and make sure that her father signs everything over to her. No, I donít think Tess or my baby are going to be in any danger at all once Mr. Reston is panhandling for his meals.
Antonio: Do you remember anything else about the home?
Jessica: No. I donít know, itís probably just stupid -- unless it had something to do with what happened to me when I was little.
Antonio: Ok. All right, well, look, donít force yourself, ok? All right? We'll deal with it tomorrow. Right now, all I want you to do is get some rest.
Jessica: Yeah, I'm really tired.
Antonio: Come on. Here, let me get this.
Jessica: Can you promise to hold me, though, until I fall asleep?
Antonio: Oh, are you kidding me? You donít even have to ask me that.
Jessica: Thank you.
John: Hey, hold up a second, folks. Who knew you'd destroy more lives in death than you did in life?
Bo: And I'll be here when you wake up. And you'll finally be able to let go of all the secrets that you've always had to keep. I'll walk you through your statement. And then, you can get on with the rest of your life. You have to be able to do that. You have to.
Bo: Sheís out.
Rex: Is all your hope of busting Truman lying in that bed?
Bo: I hate to put it all on Paige, but I'm afraid so.
Rex: Anything I can do?
Bo: Yeah, Balsom, you can -- you can go home. You get some rest. Thatís what I'm going to do. I'll see you later.
Evangeline: I'm sorry.
Cristian: For what?
Evangeline: I totally lost it on you. Again.
Cristian: Hey, come on. Itís understandable. Margaret dies, Spencer wins.
Evangeline: No. Only this battle, Cris. Only this battle.
Michael: Ok, you're all set. No more bonehead moves like that, ok? Or this is going to take you a very long time to reverse.
Spencer: And you sure you're ready to go home with me?
Blair: I've never been more sure of anything.
On the next "One Life to Live" --
Blair: Todd hates me.
Kelly: You donít really believe that?
Hugh: I will find out who set you up, and why.
Todd: I already know all that.
Claudia: I would be terrified if I thought I had a stalker.
Dorian: Who has a stalker?
Ed: You ready to get started?
Jessica: Ready as I'll ever be.
