Matthew: Mom's waking up -- for real, this time.

Paige: Nora, can you hear me?

David: Hey, we need to talk.

Spencer: Not now, David. In case you haven't noticed, I'm just a little preoccupied saving lives.

David: You might want to put those miracles on hold -- do you know why? You want to know why? I know your dirty little secret.

[Cheers and applause]

[Boos]

Man: Take it up! Take it home!

Second man: Way to go!

Third man: Good luck, baby. All right.

Ricky: Hey, Cris, this guy you're up against -- look, the word on the street is he fights sneaky, all right?

Cristian: With a name like "Sly," no kidding.

Rourke: All right, good house tonight. You're packing them in.

Man: Yeah! Come on!

Second man: Go get them, kid!

Cristian: I'll be right back.

Man: Go!

Cristian hey, you said you weren't coming.

Natalie: I changed my mind.

Cristian: Who are you looking for?

Natalie: Aren't you supposed to be getting ready for your fight?

Cristian: Oh, well, now I know something's up.

Natalie: Why would you say that?

Cristian: Well, you're not ragging on me about boxing and you're meeting somebody.

Man: Yeah!

Cristian: This is about Mc Bain's dad, isn't it?

Man: Two, three, one!

Natalie: So what if it is?

Man: Whoo, yeah! Two, three, one!

John: You sure you don't remember anything about the cop that was shot in the alley behind your store? His name was Thomas Mc Bain. Yeah, look, I know it's been a long time, but we're reopening the case. Yeah, well, thanks for nothing.

Officer: Everything ok, Detective?

John: Yeah, what is it, ed?

Ed: Evangeline Williamson checked into a hotel in Chicago, alone. No sign of Manning.

John: Ok. Good, hey, remember -- this stays between us.

Hugh: Why? You don't want internal affairs knowing that you're looking into the one case they told you to stay away from?

Clint: Nash, it's Clint, again. Son, I don't know where you went, but if you found Tess, you call me. Why doesn't he answer?

Dorian: Maybe he can't. Sit down, Clint. Have your coffee and try to stay calm.

Clint: How can I do that when I don't know where Tess is, you don't know what happened to her. If Nash doesn't find her, I could very well lose my daughter. It'd be my own damn fault.

Nash: Hi. Um -- I'm looking for my girlfriend. She's got blonde hair, she's pregnant out to here. Have you seen her?

Nurse: No, I'm sorry.

Nash: You let her go with that sick, perverted -- where the hell were you? Here I've been afraid that I'm not ready to be a parent. Oh, I know I can do better than this, buddy. She's here somewhere, I know it.

Tess: Norman Leeds? Do you remember me? No. No, I guess you wouldn’t. Because to you, I was just another little girl. Oh, no -- actually, I was nothing. I was just some plaything you used for your sick games. But for me -- ahem -- for me, you're the sick bastard who made me who I am today. You sick freak.

Hugh: I thought the Manning case was off-limits for you.

John: I'm just worried about my friend. I'm trying to help find out where she is.

Hugh: Oh, right, right -- Evangeline, who just happens to be right in the middle of everything.

John: Gee, Hugh, I wouldn’t know. I'm kind of out of the loop here.

Hugh: Yeah. So, she's in Chicago? What's she doing there?

John: I have no idea, but obviously, she's not with Manning.

Hugh: "Obviously?" How can you be so sure?

John: Hey, look, we're talking about Evangeline here. Let it go.

Hugh: No. I'm not going to let anything go when there's a convicted murderer on the loose.

John: There's more to this, isn't there?

Hugh: What are you talking about?

John: You're getting crazy, Hugh. You're obsessed and believe me, I know the signs. So what is it with you and the Manning case?

Spencer: Listen, I don't know what this is about, ok, but watch what you say and who you say it in front of.

David: Or what? What could you possibly do to me that you haven't already, Spencer? It's not like you're going to kill me.

Spencer: Look, Blair is the only woman that I have ever cared about or ever will and not even my brother is going to keep me from having her. Cross me again and you can start making funeral arrangements.

Blair: Hey.

Spencer: Hey.

Blair: What's going on with David? He said something about a big secret. You didn't tell him --

Spencer: No, no, no --

Blair: That you spent the night up in the mountains with me, did you?

Spencer: That's just between us. It's -- it's fine.

Blair: Ok.

Spencer: Yeah.

Blair: So, are you ready for dinner?

Spencer: You know what? I think I need to push things back a little bit. Nora's showing signs of recovery.

[Blair gasps]

Blair: She is?

Spencer: She is.

Blair: Oh, Spencer, that's so great! That is so great.

Bo: What's going on?

Paige: Well, she's coming out of the coma, but she's -- she's not responding.

Matthew: Mom's trying to wake up. I know she is. Why can't she?

Spencer: You know, people just don't wake up from a coma like they've been sleeping, Matthew. It takes a little more time sometimes. It's -- it's a little more gradual. You understand?

Matthew: Can't you do something?

Spencer: Well, I'll do my best.

Blair: Hey, Starr, it's Mommy and I know you're still at the movies, but I'm at the hospital and there's some good news. It looks like Matthew's mommy might be coming out of her coma, so I know Matthew would probably appreciate it if you maybe stopped by and were a good friend to him, so I'm here and just find me, ok? Bye.

Kelly: Hey.

Blair: Hey, Kelly.

Kelly: I just came from seeing Asa. I was hoping Kevin might be there. You haven't seen him, have you?

Blair: Yeah, I did, actually. He was in Spencer's office, but I -- I don't know where he went after that.

Kelly: I'm trying to find him.

Blair: Something wrong? Is everything ok?

Kelly: Everything is just so messed up. I don't know how things can start off in such a good place and then get screwed up so quickly.

Blair: Well, when you figure that out, will you let me know? Please fill me in?

Kelly: Something happen with Todd?

Blair: No. No, not Todd. I've been connected to Todd mind, body, and soul for 15 years -- until now.

Dorian: Clint, you can't shoulder the responsibility for this whole situation yourself.

Clint: How can I face Viki -- who's barely hanging, on by the way -- and what if this brings out Niki?

Dorian: You've always been able to bring Viki back again before.

Clint: Well, how many times is it going to work before I lose control of Niki, of Tess, of myself, of everything? Dorian, I'm running on fumes here. I think I need a miracle and I'm not sure I have one left in me.

Dorian: Oh, shut up.

Clint: Excuse me?

Dorian: You heard me -- shut up. And do something.

Clint: Don't you think I want to do something? I'm not God here.

Dorian: You're Clint Buchanan, and you can always do anything that you set your mind to. You always have, you always will, and you are not giving up -- do you understand?

Tess: You -- ahem -- might be old and wasted, but I'd recognize your face anywhere. No. You might not remember me, but you remember your hand on my hand holding it down on the bed. And your other hand on my knee so I couldn't get up. And that smell -- oh, God. Disgusting breath on me. Do you remember what you did to me? Do you?

Nurse: How -- hey.

Nash: Don't put me on hold. Don't put me on hold. Tell me where Tess is. Her name is Tess.

Nurse: I said I didn't see her.

Nash: You must've. Now, think.

Guard: Is there a problem?

Nash: Yes. I'm looking for my girlfriend.

Guard: Who's she here to see?

Tess: I remember every second of everything you ever did to me. And because of your tape habit, now everybody knows. It wasn't enough for you to ruin a little girl's life -- you had to put it on tape for everyone to see? Maybe you're too brain-dead to understand what I'm telling you right now. But because of you, you pervert, I'm -- I'm finished. I'm done. I'm going to vanish. It's going to be like I never existed.

Tess: And --

Tess: If I'm going to go down, I'm taking you with me.

[Cheers]

Cristian: Does John know you're here?

Natalie: You know, I didn't like the whole boxing thing and you asked me to butt out, so I guess I'm going to have to ask you to do the same, ok? There's my contact. Good luck tonight.

Cristian: Yeah. You, too.

Rourke: You fighting tonight, or what?

Cristian: Hmm?

Rourke: Get your head in the ring! Or the other guy's going to knock it right out of there. Come on.

Natalie: Rocco Lasardo?

Rocco: Who's asking?

Natalie: Natalie Buchanan.

Rocco: And I'm freakin' grateful for that.

Hugh: I feel responsible for the Manning case for Nora. She would want him behind bars.

John: That is so weak. Come on, what's in it for you?

Hugh: There has to be a personal agenda?

John: No, but there is.

[Hugh chuckles]

Hugh: I prosecuted Manning and I believe in the verdict that I got. And I want to see it carried out because that's the only way the system works, because if the system doesn't work, then people get hurt.

John: Like whom?

Hugh: Don't try to analyze me. You're starting to sound like Dr. Crosby.

John: Forgive me, I'm a cop. We ask questions and occasionally we solve problems that way.

Hugh: All right, well, there's only one way to solve this problem and that's to bring Manning in, which is exactly what I'm going to do.

Clint: I never said I was giving up on my family.

Dorian: That's the way it sounded from here.

Clint: I let my guard down for one minute. One minute was all it took for you to blow everything out of proportion.

Dorian: Hey, you're having trouble coping. Why don't you just admit it? Oh, no, no, no -- I forgot. I'm talking to a Buchanan man. Buchanan men are never allowed to show weakness, are they?

Clint: Dorian, I had a moment -- one moment -- of weakness, and thank you very much for pointing that out, but I don't think I need you to talk me down from any ledge.

Dorian: Somebody had to do something because you're not going to be any good to anyone feeling sorry for yourself.

Clint: I'm not feeling sorry for myself! I -- I'm just -- I'm trying to regroup, I need to find out what to do next, and I certainly don't need to be told that I was a failure as a father because I just -- forget this. I'm going to go find my daughter. No, no, no, no. You're not taking credit for this.

Dorian: Somebody had to light a fire under you.

Clint: I believe I can do that myself.

Dorian: It's all right. You don't have to say "thank you."

Clint: I don't believe I'm saying this, but you really came through for me tonight.

Dorian: You didn't make it easy.

Nash: All right, look, I'm not trying to cause any trouble here. My girlfriend came looking for somebody she used to know a long time ago, but it is extremely important that I find her quickly. Come on, somebody must've seen a pregnant woman around here somewhere.

Nurse: Oh, I just helped a pregnant woman find Mr. Leeds' room.

Nash: Mr. Leeds? That's it -- Mr. Leeds. Where?

Nurse: Room 110.

Nash: 110. Thank you. Tess? Tess? Tess, no. No, no.

Tess: No, no! Please let me finish! Let me finish!

Nash: No, I --

Tess: He deserves to die!

Nash: Ok.

Tess: He deserves to die!

Dorian: Excuse me. What are you up to, David? Peeping Tom, stalking, hmm?

David: I need to talk to you, Dorian.

Dorian: As you can see, I'm already occupied.

David: Well, unoccupy.

[Phone rings]

Clint: Oh. I got to get to the hospital.

Dorian: What is it, Jessica?

Clint: No, a message from Bo. It's Nora.

Dorian: Oh. Well, you keep me informed, all right? And if there's anything you need, Clint, anything at all, my door is always open and I mean that.

Clint: I have a feeling I know that, yeah. Good night.

Dorian: Good night.

Dorian: What? No quip, no biting retort?

David: I'm all out of bite tonight. I came to set my affairs in order because I may not get another chance.

John: Dr. Eugene Snyder. What the hell happened to you after you let my father die?

[Phone rings]

John: Mc Bain.

Rourke: Hey, it's me.

John: Rourke?

Rourke: Yeah, it's me. We got a problem down at the gym that's screwing my Boy Vega's head.

John: What's up?

Rourke: That redheaded ex of yours -- she's getting tight with some lowlife who looks like he just crawled out from under the boardwalk.

John: New Jersey guy?

Rourke: Yeah, him and -- him and Red are talking up A.C.

John: Sit tight. I'm on my way. Damn it, Natalie. Son of a --

Rocco: Let's get a little air.

Ricky: Don't worry about her, Cris. I got your back if that sleazoid tries to pull anything.

Cristian: Sounds good.

Ricky: Yeah. Hey, remember -- watch Sly's left hook, all right?

Rourke: Listen to the kid. He knows what he's talking about. Cristian?

Rocco: Must be in the cards.

Rourke: Cristian? Go.

Rocco: My pops knew your old lady back in the day.

Natalie: You know what? Let's not talk family business, huh? I need some information about a shooting, happened over 20 years ago. It was a deal that went bad -- back alley of south ocean, outside the bike shop.

Rocco: There are always deals going south. How about some details?

Natalie: Off-duty cop got killed. Name's thomas Mc Bain.

Rocco: Maybe I know the name.

Natalie: Maybe or you do?

Rocco: Well, how bad you want this info?

[Bell rings]

Man: Yeah. Come on.

Second man: Come on, come on.

Kelly: So what are you saying, you feel the same way about Spencer that you did about Todd?

Blair: No, not the same. I -- things are good with Spencer and it feels right. It's just I feel so damn guilty.

Kelly: Because you still love Todd?

Blair: Yeah.

Starr: Mom.

Blair: Hey! You made it. How was the movie -- good?

Starr: How's Nora?

Blair: Well, I think she's coming out. Dr. Truman is in there with her right now.

Spencer: Nora? It's Dr. Spencer Truman. Nora? You're at Llanview Hospital. You've suffered a cerebral aneurysm and a series of small strokes. Can you hear me? You're here with your family and your doctors. Nora, listen, if you can hear me, please just blink twice.

Matthew: Come on, mom. Please blink.

Spencer: Nora, do you understand what I'm saying to you?

Matthew: She's awake. She's back!

Tess: You should've let me end his miserable life!

Nash: You listen to me. Listen to me -- you are the mother of my child, all right? He deserves to die for what he did to you, but you do not deserve to spend the rest of your life in prison. All right?

Tess: How -- how did you even find me? How do you even know about him?

Nash: It doesn't matter. Listen, all right? All right. I'm going to fix this. You stay here, all right? I'm going to fix this. I'll be right back. Ok. All right.

Tess: Oh.

Nash: Ok.

Norman: Tell everybody your name. What's your name?

Young Jessica: Tess.

Norman: But the last time, you said your name was Jessica.

Young Tess: I'm Tess.

Nash: She was molested. You're the animal, you demented son of a bitch!

Matthew: Mom? Mom, it's me, Matthew. You know that, right? Blink again. Dad, why isn't she blinking?

Bo: Well, you heard what Dr. Truman said. It's going to take your mom a while to come out of this.

Matthew: Yeah, but she's going to get better, right?

Paige: We're doing everything we can for her, sweetheart.

Bo: Son, why don't we wait outside, ok, and let Paige do what she has to do?

Matthew: What about Dr. Truman? He's the one who got mom to blink.

Spencer: No, Dr. Miller can handle it. Page me if you need me.

Starr: Matthew. Hey, how's your mom?

Matthew: Dr. Truman got her to wake up. He was awesome. Dad, we have to call Rachel.

Bo: You're right. Come on.

Blair: Well, Matthew is right. You were awesome.

Spencer: Well, the truth be told, Matthew had more to do with it than I did.

Blair: You know what? I think we're all lucky that you came into our lives.

Clint: Kelly.

Kelly: Hmm?

Clint: Kelly.

Kelly: Hmm?

Clint: What's going on? I got a text message from my brother to get over here.

Kelly: Nora seems to be coming out of her coma. Bo's right over there. Ask him.

Clint: Oh, good. At last something good happening to this family.

Hugh: Kelly, hey. Is something going on? She's not worse, is she?

Kelly: No. She's actually doing better.

Hugh: Really?

Kelly: Yeah.

Hugh: That's great!

Kelly: Yeah, it is. It's really great.

Hugh: How are you? Do you need to talk or --

Bo: That's about all we know for now. Paige is in there with Nora and she's going to give us an update.

Clint: All right. I'll make sure Viki's filled in.

Matthew: We should call R.J. and Lindsay. Lindsay's been really nice, and R.J. cares a lot about mom.

Bo: Ok, there you go. Hey, what's the latest on this situation with Tess?

Clint: Well, I had a line on her, then I lost her.

Bo: Where was the last place she was seen?

Clint: Believe it or not, Dorian Lord's.

David: I don't know what's going to happen in the next few weeks. I really wanted to set the record straight with you.

Dorian: You already did that once before and didn't I tell you what you could do with it?

David: It's different now.

Dorian: How?

David: I may not have another chance, and I wanted to make sure that you really heard me.

Dorian: David, what's going on?

David: I love you. I always have. You're the best thing that ever happened to me. I screwed that up. I blamed Spencer, I blamed you, but no one is to blame but me. I take responsibility for not being able to say "I do." That's going to haunt me for the rest of my life -- what's left of it. In case anything happens to me, I wanted to put that on the table. Goodbye.

Dorian: David, wait.

David: You want me to stay?

Dorian: You've done some lowdown things in your life, but this? This is the lowest of the low. Oh.

Tess: Let him go, Nash. Nash, let him go!

Nash: No --

Tess: Let him go!

Nash: He has to die for what he did to you.

Tess: You know?

Nash: Oh, I saw the tape.

Tess: Oh, my God! My God! Oh, my God! Oh, my God! Oh, my God!

Nash: Tess?

Tess: Oh, my God! What are --

Nash: I only saw what I needed to, to understand.

Tess: I didn't want anybody to see! Oh, I hate them! I hate them for getting that tape! I hate them both!

Nash: It's all right. I'm going to end this once and for all.

Tess: No.

Rourke: You're doing good. Keep your head down and go inside for the hooks.

Ricky: Especially his left hook.

Cristian: Enough with his hook. Where's Natalie?

Ricky: Hey, it's cool. She's just working the guy, that's all. Don't worry.

Cristian: Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of.

[Bell rings]

[Applause]

Natalie: So, you know, I've still got some friends down in A.C. I'll hook you up if you help me.

Rocco: I know enough people. But you want to talk some more, let's take it somewhere private.

Natalie: Ok. There's this bar -- palace hotel?

Rocco: Hotel, huh?

Natalie: How about we just go there and see what happens? Oh, looks like we have new neighbors.

Kelly: Thanks for the offer, but it's really too personal.

Hugh: It can't be any crazier than my life right now.

Kelly: Any more news on Todd?

Hugh: No, not really. Evangeline has gone to Chicago on some mystery mission, probably something to do with Manning. I just -- I hate seeing, you know, somebody like that throwing everything away just because she can't handle a loss. Well, I'm going to go see if I can find out some more information on Nora. It was nice seeing you.

Kelly: Yeah. Good seeing you, too.

Kelly: Hey, Kevin, it's me. Um -- I want to talk. I want to clear the air. I love you.

Kelly: Hey. Where you going?

Starr: I got to get out of here.

Kelly: All right. Are you ok?

Starr: Yeah. Matthew's really happy -- he's getting his mom back. That's great -- for him.

Spencer: You know, I kind of feel like I should stick around for Nora. I'm afraid I'm going to have to push our dinner date back a little further.

Blair: Oh, that's ok, Spencer. Starr and I will just grab some food down at the cafeteria.

Kelly: If you're looking for Starr, she left.

Blair: Where'd she go?

Kelly: I don't know, but it seemed like she might be missing her dad.

Blair: Oh, but she didn't even say goodbye.

Matthew: I know it's hard for you, mom, but I'm here. I'm right here and I'm not going anywhere. I have way too much to tell you -- about baseball and these books I've been reading to you, and this girl at school, and --

Bo: Hey, son, easy. I don't think she's quite ready for that one yet.

Matthew: I've missed you so much. Mom? She heard me! She -- mom, I'm right here. I'm right here.

Tess: I can't -- I can't let you kill him.

Nash: Well, I can't let him breathe another breath after what he did to you.

Tess: If it wasn't for him, I wouldn’t exist.

Nash: No. You weren't created from that. I can't believe that. Something would've happened. Something would've happened that Jessica couldn't have dealt with and you would have burst into life. You would've burst into my life. Tess, you can't have been created from that. You're right. He's got to die.

Tess: No! No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. No. I know why you want to do it. But you're not a murderer.

Nash: We're not going to forgive him.

Tess: No. No, we won't. But if we kill him, it's not going to erase the past. If we kill him, then so what? So what? And it'll tear us apart. And I need you.

Nash: We'll find another way.

 [Cheers]

Rourke: Come on, Cris. Get in. Get in, kid.

Ricky: Let's go.

Rourke: Oh, don't take that from him!

Ricky: Cris.

Rourke: Keep on him, now. Focus. Focus!

Man: Yeah!

Second man: Let's go.

Natalie: So, how about we go for that drink?

Rocco: Make it two? You're on.

John: Oh, you're not leaving before the fight's over, are you?

Rocco: Got better things going.

John: I wasn't talking to you. Who's your buddy?

Man: Come on. Let's go, yeah.

Rocco: Who's this joker?

Natalie: He's nobody.

John: Oh, I'm nobody now.

Natalie: Nobody.

Man: Yeah.

Rourke: Push him off.

John: There's no way you're leaving with this guy.

Rocco: There's no way you're stopping her.

Natalie: I've got it covered.

John: No, you don't.

Rocco: Back off, pal, huh?

Tess: I thought -- I thought if I could kill him, I could kill the secret, but --

Nash: Let it go, I'm sorry.

Tess: The tape -- you've already seen it.

Nash: I'm so sorry.

Tess: When Jessica sees it, it'll be over, I'll be gone.

Nash: Tess, no.

Tess: Nash, that's what they've been looking for. This is what they want.

Nash: We won't let them.

Tess: You can't stop them.

Nash: Yes, we can. We'll go back there. We'll smash the tape. Jessica will never see it.

Tess: Viki and Clint will tell her about it.

Nash: That won't be enough. All right? That won't be enough to bring her out. We'll destroy all the evidence.

Tess: And then what?

Nash: "And then what" -- I don't know "then what."

Tess: We really have no other choice but to go back.

Nash: We don't got to give in, all right? Hey, we'll fight them. All right?

Tess: You can bet on it. I'm not going to let them take me down easy.

Nash: We'll both fight, together, for us and for our baby.

Matthew: Why isn't my mom talking yet?

Paige: Well, we still need to run some tests and figure out if there's any damage.

Matthew: Damage? You mean brain damage?

Paige: We're just going to see if there is anything. Don't worry. I'm going to tell you everything as we go along, I promise.

Matthew: All right. At least she's awake now. Thanks for taking care of my mom, you and Dr. Truman.

Bo: Hey, son, maybe we should go home, ok? It's getting late.

Matthew: Bye, mom. I'll see you tomorrow. Don't worry.

Blair: Well, Starr and Matthew are connected. They both have a parent that's not around. Poor Starr. It's been hard on her.

Spencer: Yeah, maybe she just needed a little time alone.

Blair: Hmm. Well, I know what that is like and I know what it's like to be alone. You know what, Spencer? I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't gotten me through this.

Spencer: Well, you're not ever going to have to find out, are you?

[Phone rings]

Clint: Nash?

Tess: Nope -- me.

Clint: Tess. Honey, are you ok?

Tess: Fine. Nash found me.

Clint: Where are you?

Tess: Doesn't matter. We're coming back.

Clint: Back to where?

Tess: Llanfair.

Clint: Oh. You made the right choice. Honey, everything is going to be all right.

Tess: Yeah, I know it is.

Tess: You tell me I'm not making the biggest mistake of my life.

Dorian: You've got a lot of nerve trying to win me back with this -- with terminal illness scenario.

David: You think I'm sick?

Dorian: No, not physically.

David: I'm not trying to win you back. It's over between us. I know that. You've moved on, and so have I.

Dorian: Oh, have you?

David: Mm-hmm.

Dorian: Really? Found somebody new? Is that why you came over -- to rub my face in it? Oh, that's it. Isn't it?

Man: Come on!

[Cheers]

Man: Come on. Let's go. Let's go. All right, come on, come on. Come on, stick it to him.

Rocco: Find your own date. This one's taken.

John: I don't think so.

Natalie: John, stop it!

Ricky: Cris!

Natalie: Cristian, no! No!

[Cheers]

On the next "One Life to live" --

Natalie: What happened to your wrist, Cristian? You're hurt and it's all my fault.

Bo: I am going to look into what happened to Balsom.

David: You want to stop Spencer? We throw in with Todd Manning.

Rex: Every cop in three states is looking for you.

Todd: I know who set me up.
