Nash's voice: "Tess, by the time you read this, I'll be gone. I know you're furious with me right now. You're doubting the things I said, the way I feel. That's why I need you to know that the only thing that could ever make me leave you is my love for you. Please, believe in my love, as I believe in yours."
Layla: Hello? Anyone here? Hey, John.
Layla: Have you seen Roxy?
John: No, I haven't. Must be my lucky day.
Layla: I guess I'll leave her a note. I hope she has a vacancy.
John: A vacancy for?
Layla: Me. Thanks to you, I've decided to get a room, which I really can't afford, but --
John: What does your renting a room have to do with me?
Layla: Not just you. Evangeline, too. I want to give you guys some privacy.
Natalie: Dad, hi. Dad?
Natalie: You just look like you're lost in space. Is something wrong?
Clint: No, honey. At least, nothing new.
Bo: Hey, Clint.
Clint: Do you have a minute?
Bo: Yeah, sure.
Bo: Come on in.
Clint: I'll see you when I get out.
Clint: I just got back from seeing Pa.
Bo: Yeah. No change, I know. I just got off the phone with the nurse.
Clint: Bo, I just -- when I look at him, I feel so helpless.
Bo: It's rough.
Clint: In fact, I'm feeling helpless across the Board. Natalie is still dealing with what happened at Statesville. Nothing I can do about that. Jessica -- she remains a prisoner in her own mind and I can't reach he and Viki, of course, dealing with problems with her daughter, problems of her own. Now Todd's on the loose somewhere.
Bo: Not somewhere. He's right here in Llanview. It's only a matter of time before we catch him.
Todd: What are you doing?
Evangeline: Checking to see if we were followed. I don't think we were.
Todd: You don't "think"?
Evangeline: Well, I've never hidden an escaped convict before, so cut me some slack, ok?
Todd: All right, seeing as nobody's busted in here with their guns blazing, I don't think we were followed. I think we're safe.
Evangeline: Yeah? But for how long?
Todd: It's got to be long enough to prove I'm innocent. Otherwise, you go to jail, and I'm dead.
Rex: I'm sorry, did you just say "lose the Boyfriend?"
Giovanni: Adriana, you have an air of innocence that's fresh and very marketable. But having him in the picture --
Adriana: His name is Rex.
Rex: I'm an image killer -- is that what you're saying?
Giovanni: Well, if the stiletto fits.
Adriana: You don't know anything about Rex.
Giovanni: He owns a nightclub, and he has a police record.
Adriana: You researched us?
Giovanni: It's part of my job. Yours is to be beautiful. And if you're out all night clubbing, showing up for shoots hung over -- when I send you out, I put my reputation on the line. I'm not going to risk that on someone who doesn’t have her priorities straight.
Adriana: Really? Let me tell you where you can put your priorities --
Rex: Wait, wait, wait, wait.
Rex: Uh, could you just excuse us for a few minutes?
Adriana: Ok, let's just get out of here. Let's just leave.
Rex: No, no, no, no, no. No, we are not going to do that. Adriana, the guy made sense.
Rex: Models just don't pose for pictures anymore. They're actors, talk-show hosts, fashion designers. I can see you doing all those things.
Rex: So, if you don't give it 100% it won’t work.
Adriana: What are you saying ? That I have to choose between a modeling career and a relationship? I can't have both?
Rex: We haven't really started a relationship, technically. What I'm saying is we haven't gone so far that we can't take a step back.
Adriana: Is that what you want? Take a step back?
Giovanni: Time's up. Meet Enzo, stylist and miracle worker.
Enzo: Nice to meet you.
Giovanni: And of course you know Jason, photographer extraordinaire.
Jason: Hey, you.
Giovanni: Gentlemen, Adriana. All right, let's get this show on the road, huh?
John: Privacy? I'm not sure what you're talking --
Layla: Come on, John, we're all grownups here. I know you want to be sensitive to Natalie's feelings, or maybe Evangeline's trying to be cautious because she doesn’t want her heart broken again.
John: You know, I realize I got hit in the head, but hold on. Where'd you get the idea that Evangeline and I are involved again?
Layla: She asked me to sleep someplace last night, and I figured it was because you were going to be there. Ok. But, now that I think about it, maybe she wanted me out to get some work done. I tend to talk a lot, which can be very distracting, I know, so, oh --
John: She asked you to stay out of the apartment?
Layla: Just forget what I said. If Evangeline didn't want me to know who she was with, she definitely wouldn't want you to know.
Bo: Well, we know of one place that Todd went.
Clint: In Llanview?
Bo: My place.
Bo: I -- I don't even want to get into it, but the point is that after he left my apartment, he really didn't have much time to get very r without being spotted, so I've got people looking at the usual places -- Llanfair, Blair’s. I've added Evangeline's to the list. The lake -- I sent people up to the lake.
Clint: You think he'd return to the scene of the crime?
Bo: I doubt it, but I'm not taking any chances.
Clint: You've given me an idea. I think that there is a way that I can help Viki and Jessica. Thank you.
Bo: Oh, sure. Are you taking off?
Natalie: Oh, yeah. Gloria's on her way and my shift's over, so I want to go be with mom.
Natalie: She's kind of upset.
Clint: Do you mind if I go with you?
Natalie: No, no, of course not.
Clint: All right. Thanks again, Bo, and I'll talk to you later.
Bo: All right.
Natalie: Bye. Thanks.
Bo: Hi, Starr. How did you get in here?
Starr: The back way. Nobody noticed.
Bo: Hmm. Well, you're always welcome. Why don't you have a seat over here?
Bo: What brings you by?
Starr: Nobody will tell me what's going on -- not my mom, my aunt, or my cousin. And you said that my dad told you to keep an eye on me.
Bo: That's right, he did.
Starr: Well, I need to hear the truth. So let's hear it. What are they going to do to my dad if he gets caught?
Evangeline: Ok. We have to come up with a plan.
Todd: I'm too cold to think. Aren't you cold? It's freezing.
Evangeline: You know what? I -- I brought a blanket, an old blanket and some other things I thought you might need. I left them in the car.
Todd: All right.
Evangeline: I'll go out and get them. I'll be right back.
Todd: Come on, Starr, pick up.
Starr: Hello? Evangeline?
Evangeline: Oh -- Starr.
Evangeline: I meant to call your mother. I must've hit this number by mistake. Sorry. I will talk to you later.
Starr: Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait, wait. Did you hear anything about my dad?
Evangeline: No. I was wondering if your mother did. I'll talk to you later. I'm sorry. Bye. What were you thinking?
Todd: She's my daughter.
Evangeline: Didn't I make it clear before, when you tried to follow Blair --
Todd: I just want to talk to my child.
Evangeline: You make any kind of contact with anyone, you risk everything, and that includes me.
Todd: Starr never stopped believing in my innocence.
Evangeline: I don't care.
Todd: I do care. She's the only one in my family I have left. Jack's too young to know what's going on, and Blair is -- you know who I'd really like to kill is Spencer Truman.
Evangeline: Would you stop talking like that?
Todd: He doesn’t deserve to live.
Evangeline: This isn't about Spencer, this is about you. You're the one that's in terrible trouble. That's why you can't afford to take any more risks. And a phone call? Is it worth risking your life? If the fact that Starr could inadvertently lead the police right back to you --
Todd: Ah, she wouldn't do that.
Evangeline: Isn't enough motivation -- don't you get it, Todd? You're a human target, and you put everyone you touch in as much danger as you're in.
Starr: It wasn't my dad, if that's what you were thinking.
Bo: I believe you.
Starr: I want him to get away.
Bo: Starr, I think your father will be caught. It's just a matter of time.
Starr: And then what?
Bo: We're required to turn him over to federal --
Starr: I know, would you just shut up! I'm sorry, I didn't -- I didn't -- you were just being nice. I didn't mean to, but it's --
Bo: It's ok. You're scared, you know? Tell me -- what are you scared of the most?
Starr: That he'll be killed by lethal injection before I can tell him to -- to prove his innocence. Or that you guys will catch him and he'll run away and then you'll shoot him.
Bo: I'm going to do everything I possibly can to make sure that doesn’t happen.
Starr: But you can't promise that, can you?
Bo: I'm sorry.
Nash's voice: "I'm sorry I couldn't say goodbye in person. But then I never would've had the strength to leave. When things calm down, when I can help and not hurt you, I'll come back. But until then, you're with me in my heart, always. Nash."
Viki: What did he say?
Tess: He said that he loved me so much that he had to leave me. And people say I'm crazy.
Viki: Oh, honey --
Tess: No, look, I'm fine. The last thing I'm going to do is go chasing after that coward.
Viki: Well, that's good.
Tess: And don't think for a second that your precious little Jessica is coming back, because I'm stronger than ever now.
Tess: Yeah. You know, Niki's right. We don't need anybody else. People like us, we're better off on our own.
Viki: Tess, it's all right to be hurt.
Tess: Not for me, it's not. Look, I know that Jessica appreciates this hovering thing that you do, but it's creeping me out, so could you just leave me alone?
[Knock on door]
George: Heard you were back.
Nash: What, are you following me?
George: So when'd you get in?
Nash: Oh, about five minutes ago, and you're already on my case.
George: Hey, all I said was I heard you're back.
Nash: Look, the restraining order says I've got to keep my distance from Claudia. Last I heard, she was on the east coast. Am I wrong?
George: About that? No. But that's about the only thing you're not wrong about. So you came back alone, huh?
Nash: Know what? If there's a reason you came all the way over here, I'm listening. If not, bye-bye.
George: You know, you always were a snotty little son of a bitch.
Nash: Maybe I should take a restraining order out against you, Mr. Reston.
George: You know, that's good. You just go ahead. You keep up the wiseass routine. It's going to do you a whole lot of good. You know, you don't have your rich Buchanan boys here to back you up. It's just you and me.
Nash: You're right, it is. What do you want?
George: You didn't pay nearly enough for what you did.
Nash: I didn't pay -- you had your goons beat the hell out of me.
George: Well, you were messed up pretty good, but I want justice for my daughter.
Nash: Justice. Well, Mr. Reston, the law says that I've got to stay away from Claudia. That's what I'm doing. There's your justice.
George: No. You see, you damaged something that was precious to me. And you are going to pay in kind.
Adriana: Could you give us a minute?
Giovanni: Great. Let's waste more time.
Adriana: Look, what's going on here? I mean, I thought things were going really well between us, but since you're obviously using this as a way out --
Rex: No, I don't want a way out. I just -- I don't want to stand in your way. All I want is for you to be happy.
Adriana: Giovanni --
Adriana: I want you to know that I intend to give this modeling thing my all. But I am not giving up my life for it. So I'll pose and I'll do my go-sees and whatever else it is that you need doing. But I'm not giving up Rex. He's a very important part of my life. So if he goes, I go.
Giovanni: I've been looking at you in the wrong light. Enzo, 86 everything that screams innocence. We're going for spitfire. Hot, hot, hot. That's how we're going to position you from now on -- if that meets with your approval.
Bo: I'll tell you what, Starr. I can make you a promise. I want your father brought in alive. And I'm going to do everything I can to make that happen.
Starr: But you can't promise that, can you?
Bo: No, but with your help, I can keep the promise that I can make.
Starr: What would I have to do?
Bo: If your father tries to contact you, I want you to let me know, right away.
Starr: You're asking me to rat out my own father?
Bo: No. I'm asking you to help me save his life.
Evangeline: It's not going to get you the cover of "Men's Quarterly," but it's warmer than what you have on.
Evangeline: Thank St. Jude’s. They had a basement full of men's clothes for the homeless.
Todd: I certainly qualify on that score. I'll put a couple grand in St. Jude’s coffers when I'm out of this mess.
Evangeline: Yeah. When this is all over.
Todd: Make it soon, Evangeline.
Evangeline: Listen, I need you to tell me everything that you and Paige talked about when she came to visit you at the prison and everything that you talked about when you showed up at her place.
Todd: Well, she was pretty vague.
Evangeline: What'd she say about Spencer?
Todd: Uh, well, she never mentioned his name directly.
Evangeline: Not once?
Todd: No, but when I asked her if he was holding something over her to keep her silent, she didn't deny it.
Evangeline: Well, did she confirm it?
Todd: Not in words, no.
Evangeline: Well, we're definitely going to need the words, Todd. I'll go talk to her. Maybe she'll open up to me, you know, woman to woman.
Todd: This thing is -- this thing is worse than that Marshal uniform. Oh, man. It stinks.
Evangeline: I didn't exactly have time to hit the men's boutique at Logan’s. And even if I did, I certainly wouldn't splurge on a bunch of men's clothes and risk having them traced back to me.
Todd: Yeah, it really stinks like somebody died in this thing.
Evangeline: Ok, let's hope somebody else doesn’t.
John: What makes you think Evangeline was with a man last night?
Layla: I found a shirt. Oh, my gosh. I shouldn't --
John: Ok. It's ok. I can take it. Did she say anything about the guy?
Layla: You are way too interested in Evangeline's love life, ok? I know you're jealous and all, but --
John: I'm not. I'm really not. If -- if she's moved on, then I'm happy for her.
Layla: What do you mean by "if?"
John: I just --
Man: Spare some change?
John: Excuse me. Where'd you get these clothes?
Man: I -- I didn't steal nothing, I swear.
John: Listen, you're not in any trouble, all right? Just listen to me. Where did you get this Jacket?
Man: Somebody left it in the garbage, over in Angel Square.
John: Ok, all right. You see who it was? Hey, listen -- just tell me who it was, all right? Tell me.
Nash: "In kind." What, is that another threat against Tess?
George: You know, you've got a vivid imagination.
Nash: Do I? Well, if that's what you think, you're way off the mark. Come on, I don't care about Tess. I'm just after her money, right? That's my M.O., you remember?
George: And the kid that she's carrying?
Nash: Kid? That kid's probably not even mine, and even if it is, her family will take care of it.
George: You know, that's pretty cold even for you, Brennan.
Nash: Yeah, well, it is what it is. So, hey, if there's nothing more --
George: So it wouldn't bother you if Tess were in some kind of accident?
Nash: I don't like to hear about anybody getting hurt. But, hey, let's face it -- the only thing I care about is this vineyard. Looks like it's going to be a great year for pinot, wouldn't you say?
George: I don't know. Those vines are pretty dry out there. Watch out for brushfires.
Natalie: Huh. Dad, seriously, thank you for listening. I used to be able to go to Jessica and vent to her, but it's been a while.
Clint: Well, you two have a very special Bond.
Natalie: Yeah, we do.
Tess: Damn you, Nash.
Viki: Hi, sweetheart. Clint.
Natalie: You know what? I've bent dad's ear long enough. I think it's your turn.
Natalie: What the hell do you think you're doing?
Tess: You spilled my drink, Natalie.
Natalie: I should've thrown it on you! You're pregnant! You're not supposed to drink! Or haven't you heard?
Tess: It's none of your business whether I drink or not.
Natalie: That's where you're wrong, Tess. While you are carrying my little niece or nephew, I am not going to let you hurt that baby.
Clint: So she pretended to be fine?
Viki: Yes, and she said she wasn't going to go after Nash, that he wasn't worth it. The thing is, I was so hoping that Tess would need Jessica to get her through this. When I looked at her, I don't see Jessie there at all anymore. I -- I really believe that Jessica is so buried under all that -- that anger, that hurt, that she won’t be able to find her way out.
Clint: Viki, we are going back to that bar.
Clint: Now. We agreed at some point we would have to go back to the hot spot bar. Well, I want to do it today -- right now -- and I don't want to return until we have the answers that will bring Jessica back to us.
Evangeline: The first thing I have to do is find out where Paige Miller was the night of the murder, and Spencer -- especially Spencer. Where was he when Margaret was killed?
Todd: He's bound to have an alibi.
Evangeline: Yeah, well, if he doesn’t, that makes him at least a possible suspect.
Todd: You think the cops are going to buy that?
Evangeline: I can't go to the police with this.
Todd: Where can you take it?
Evangeline: I don't know. But what I do know is that we need an ally, so I left word for Rex Balsom.
Todd: He'd be good. He knows how to keep his mouth shut.
Evangeline: Well, apparently he's out of town, so we have to wait to hear. And then, you know, there's John.
Todd: Oh, Mc Bain? An ally?
Evangeline: No, not an ally, but he has been asking a lot of questions, which would indicate that he's having some doubts.
Todd: About me being guilty?
Evangeline: You know what you told him after the crash? You know --
Evangeline: That you thought you'd been framed?
Evangeline: It could be beginning to register. I'm not saying he believes you're innocent, but he has taken a great interest in the search for you. I hate to do this, but I might be able to get him to let me know what the police are doing to try to find you, you know?
Todd: Well, just make sure you don't drop any hints as to where I am.
Evangeline: Oh, I won’t. Don't worry. But I want to know what the police know, so I got to get out of here, all right? Stay here. Don't you go anywhere.
Todd: Where am I going to go?
Evangeline: Nowhere. Don't you try to make any kind of contact with Blair or with the kids, all right? Do you understand?
Evangeline: Promise me, Todd.
Todd: I do. I promise.
Evangeline: Ok. I'll be back as soon as I can. Oh -- ooh, you know what? We need a signal. We need a signal so that when I come back, you know it's me, ok? Three quick knocks, a pause, and then a knock. Pause --
Todd: I got it.
Evangeline: Ok. I'll get my purse. I'll be right back.
Bo: So can I count on you to do the right thing and let me know if you hear from your dad?
[Knock on door]
John: Hey, Bo.
John: Hey, Starr.
Bo: Can -- can you wait in the hall for just one minute?
Starr: Is it about my dad?
John: No, it's just police nonsense.
Starr: Sure it is.
Bo: Yeah. What do you got?
John: Check this out.
Bo: Is this the Marshal's Jacket --
John: That Manning was wearing.
Bo: Are you sure?
John: Yeah. It's missing a piece of fabric that matches what you found.
Bo: Where'd you get this?
John: Homeless guy found it in the trash in Angel Square, which means Manning was there after he left your place.
Bo: Yeah, or somebody got rid of it for him.
Bo: John? Do you still have any clothes that may have been left at Evangeline's?
John: No. Why?
Bo: Because she told me that she was throwing away your things when I saw her in Angel Square.
Layla: Thanks again, Roxy. Get some sleep.
Layla: What are you doing here?
Evangeline: I was just going to ask you that.
Layla: I was looking for a room, but the place is full.
Evangeline: A room?
Layla: I am working two jobs now, I can almost afford it. Plus, if you're going to have mystery men over and --
Evangeline: There is no mystery man.
Layla: Oh. Right. Well -- hmm.
Evangeline: Well, what? What's that look?
Layla: I might've done a not-so-great thing.
Evangeline: What not-so-great thing?
Layla: I accused John of being the guy you were with. I thought it was him, you see, and he was here, and I accidentally blurted it out. You're not going to scream at me?
Evangeline: That's the least of my problems now.
Layla: Oh. I'm sorry to hear that. If it's worth anything, John had a pretty big reaction to hearing a guy spent the night with you.
Evangeline: Did he?
Layla: He didn't like it at all. Then he got distracted by a homeless guy with some Marshal's jacket on, you know, like --
Evangeline: Wait, wait. A homeless man? Oh, my God.
John: So Evangeline got rid of the uniform for Manning?
Bo: When I ran into her, she got rattled. She doesn’t rattle easily.
John: She kicked her sister out of the apartment. Layla thought it had something to do with a -- with a guy.
Enzo: Now we just do a light blush on the cheekbones, and gorgeous. Yes?
Rex: She always looks beautiful to me.
Giovanni: Look, we're on the clock. Let's go. Ready to change, hmm?
Adriana: I need another minute.
Giovanni: Here we go again. One minute.
Adriana: I'm nervous. Last time it was just a lark, this time it counts.
Rex: Just be yourself. Remember what that photographer told you last time -- just think about something that means a lot to you.
Adriana: When that photographer got the shot he wanted --
Adriana: I was thinking about you.
Giovanni: Come on. Let's rock and roll, hmm?
Adriana: I'm ready now.
Singer: Every time you turn your eyes on me I can feel that this is gonna be everything I want inside my world I'm in love so in love I'm in love so don't let me down
Singer: Standing side by side, we will go on being closer than just only one come inside and see all that I have I'm in love so in love I'm in love so in love that I'm in love here we are I'm in love and I want you, yeah oh, yeah
Starr: Did you get in touch with my mom?
Starr: You were trying to call her, remember?
Evangeline: Oh. Right. I decided not to bother her.
Starr: I was just reading my dad's "wanted" poster.
Starr: He's out there, and he could be hurt.
Evangeline: He isn't hurt. If he were, he'd be easier to find. I'm sure your father's all right.
Starr: Thanks. We're the only ones that believe he's innocent.
John: For her to harbor an escaped criminal -- it's not like her, Bo.
John: Even if the guy was her client, Evangeline usually plays by the rules.
Bo: This doesn’t make any sense.
John: No, it doesn’t. I don't know, maybe -- maybe Manning threatened her.
Bo: I got guys staking out her apartment, and they haven't reported seeing anything. I'm going to stop by, though, pay her a visit. Thanks for bringing that Jacket in. Make sure I.A. knows about it.
John: I'm going to check this into evidence, anyway. Keep me posted.
Bo: I will.
Bo: Hey, Starr, come on in.
Starr: Were you talking about my dad?
Bo: You know that I can't discuss that with you.
Starr: Yeah, I know.
Bo: So, can I count on you to let me know if you hear from your dad?
Starr: I'll think about it.
Bo: Fair enough. Come on, I'll drive you home.
Starr: No, I can take myself home. It's ok.
Bo: Yeah, I know that. But I promised your dad that I'd keep an eye on you. You know the last thing he said to me when they took him away? He told me just how much that he loves you. Come on. Come on, all right? We'll go out the -- the back way.
John: Thanks, Eve.
Evangeline: Hey, John.
Evangeline: Glad I found you.
John: Me, too. Got a couple questions for you. Oh, looks like we have new neighbors.
Nash: Well, I won’t do anything that might start a fire.
George: I'll be in touch.
Nash: Oh, Tess. I left you to save you so we can be together. I swear it
Tess: Leave me alone, Natalie.
Natalie: That is the last thing I'm going to do.
Tess: I'm having a bad day, ok?
Natalie: No, it is not ok, not while you are carrying that baby inside of you. Look, you owe it to the baby to take care of yourself. Do you understand? Look, I know what it feels like to be in pain and what it does when you try to ease that pain with doing wrong things, and I'm not going to let you do that, I'm not going to let you self-destruct.
Tess: Come on, am I supposed to believe that you care about me?
Natalie: I have always cared about Jessica.
Tess: Well let me remind you of something -- I am not Jessica, and I don't need you or anybody else.
CIint: Viki, the sooner we do this, the sooner we get our daughter back.
Viki: All right. Ok.
Clint: Viki? I hope that --
Viki: It's all right, I can.
Clint: How'd you know what I was going to say?
Viki: Whatever we discover there, I will face it, ok? I have no choice.
Clint: What if Niki Smith puts in an appearance?
Viki: No, I -- I won’t let it happen. There's far too much at stake right now.
Clint: Let's go.
Natalie: You know, people used to say that I was selfish and obnoxious. I guess I was a saint compared to you.
Tess: Go to hell, Natalie. Take the rest of the family with you.
Natalie: That family wants Jessica back, and it's going to happen. Bye, Tess.
Tess: I don't need Natalie, I don't need Viki, I don't need Nash, I don't need anyone.
Guard: Sorry, Miss Buchanan, but you can't leave.
Tess: So I'm just supposed to stay locked up here like a prisoner? Never mind. You know, I know that you're just trying to protect me, but the thing is I -- I left my prenatal vitamins in my glove compartment.
Guard: Fine. Get your vitamins, but come right back.
Tess: Two minutes.
Jason: And cock your head just a little bit to the right. Great. Perfect! Beautiful! Love that amazing smile! Fabulous. Think we have enough?
Giovanni: Let's print some. We might need a few more, so stay put.
Rex: You did great.
Adriana: I thought of you the whole time.
Rex: Just me, huh?
Rex: Not Brad or Jude or anybody?
Adriana: Just you.
Rex: If you're not too tired, I have a special night planned for us.
Adriana: Are you kidding? I'm having a total adrenaline rush.
Rex: Well, great. As soon as you're finished here, I'll take you back to the hotel so you can get ready.
Adriana: Are you still going to like me when I wash off all this makeup and put on jeans and a t-shirt?
Rex: I'll make an attempt to get past it --
Rex: Especially if you meant what you said.
Adriana: What I said?
Rex: About wanting to be with me. Because I called the hotel and canceled my room reservation for tonight.
Adriana: I meant everything I said.
John: Really? You first. Why'd you want to see me?
Evangeline: I wanted to know if there was anything new in the search for Todd.
John: Well, why would you ask? You already know where Manning is.
On the next "One Life to Live" --
Natalie: Well, rather than go 10 rounds with Tess, I thought I'd come watch you.
Rex: Tonight it's just the two of us. There's nothing she can do about it.
John: Look me in the eye. Tell me you don't know where Manning is.
Lindsay: Hello? Is there anybody there?
