One Life to Live Transcript Thursday 12/22/05
Proofread by Brandi
Nurse: Nice work, Clarice. Patients really appreciate what you're doing.
Clarice: What about him? He still hasn't regained consciousness? I haven't seen any family or friends come by. It's so sad. Nobody should be all alone on Christmas Eve.
Guard: Special delivery, Manning. Looks like you're going to have Christmas, after all.
[Christmas music plays]
David: Thanks. You know, Mary, just because I have no friends and no family, and I'm all alone on Christmas Eve, doesn't mean I can't treat myself to something special.
Mary: I can't imagine why you're alone.
David: Bah, humbug.
Singers: Joy to the world the lord is come let earth receive her king
Carlotta: Dios mio.
Singers: Let every heart prepare him room and heaven and nature sing and heaven and nature sing and heaven, and heaven and nature sing joy to the world the savior reigns let man her songs employ while fields and floods rocks, hills, and plains
Carlotta: Welcome home, my son.
Singers: He rules the world with truth and grace
Todd: You got good news for me?
Guard: You don't qualify for holiday miracles, lowlife. The only Christmas you're getting. Make the best of it.
Todd: Hey, who opened this?
["Joy to the world" plays]
Blair: I want to get out of here.
Blair: Yeah. There's Viki over there. If she sees me, she's going to go ballistic on me. I'm sure she read that article that David wrote in "Craze."
Spencer: Yeah, I know, but she knows you've been preoccupied with "The Sun." She's not going to blame you for David's poor taste.
Blair: I am the editor. I am responsible. Jack, Starr -- hey -- hey, hey, hey.
Starr: We're leaving already?
Blair: Yeah, we're going to head over to the hospital to the Christmas Eve party over there before it's too late, all right?
Starr: No, I want to see dad.
Jack: Me, too, mommy.
Blair: Well, you guys, it's late. Visiting hours are over.
Jack: Even on Christmas?
Starr: Yeah, I know. That's so unfair.
Spencer: You know, I don't think your father would want you to spend Christmas Eve depressed, right?
Starr: Yeah, so come on, mom, let's go.
Spencer: But your mom's right, we can't, so listen. That doesn't mean we can't still have fun, ok? I've got an idea. Follow me.
Spencer: Come on, let's go.
Carlotta: You look so handsome. As if the last few years never even happened.
Adriana: I knew you'd be home for the holidays. We should take a picture. Do you have a camera?
Carlotta: There's one at the diner under the register.
Adriana: Hold on, I'll be right back.
Antonio: It's good to have you back.
Cristian: Jessica --
["Hark, the herald angels sing" plays]
Cristian: Look, I don't know what to say. The last time I saw you, I said some things that --
Jessica: Oh, Cristian, no, it's ok. You weren't yourself. I know what that's like. No, we'll catch up later, because you're not going to go anywhere soon.
Cristian: No. No, never again.
Jessica: Good to have you home.
Singers: Join the triumph of the skies
Roxy: Well, hello, gorgeous! I'm so sorry to interrupt, but I got to hop a plane to the boat. Before I wrap myself around the cruise director, I want to wrap myself around my favorite artiste. Got to dash.
Singers: Glory to the new-born king
Viki: Now, sweetheart, do you just want to come home with us now?
Natalie: No, I'm -- I'm not going to go anywhere. Look, it's ok. I knew he was getting out. I knew he'd want to see me.
Clint: You want me to go over there with you?
Natalie: Guys, I'm fine.
Dorian: Cristian -- oh, how wonderful you look.
Cristian: I don't know about that.
Dorian: Oh, nonsense. I should know. You practically grew up in my home.
Dorian: Oh, it's such a blessing having you here for Christmas. If there's anything that I can do --
Cristian: Thank you.
Dorian: Carlotta -- oh, Feliz Navidad.
Carlotta: Gracias, mi amor.
Singers: Hark, the herald angels sing
Kelly: Stop that!
Dorian: Well, I'm going home.
Kelly: Oh -- um -- well, you're going to miss all the excitement.
Dorian: I think that Carlotta's family doesn't need a group of voyeurs standing around. We should leave them alone, no matter how well-meaning we may be.
Kevin: Oh -- well, it is Christmas Eve, Dorian, so if you like, you can come with us to Asa's.
Dorian: Me at Asa's for the holidays?
Kelly: Well, what are you going to do for the rest of the night?
Dorian: I'm reminded of something that Clint said to me. "You can either go stark-raving mad, or you can laugh in the face of tragedy." I prefer to laugh, but in the privacy of my own home. Joyeux noel.
Singers: Oh, come let us adore him
Kelly: Did she quote Clint?
Kevin: I believe so.
Singers: Christ the lord
David: If you're going to read me the riot act, get in line.
Adriana: I don't see any line.
David: Didn't they teach you irony at that nun school you ran away from?
Adriana: Maybe all the people that hate you so much have other things to think about. Like Christmas?
Adriana: You love the holidays.
David: No, that was the old David -- David Lite.
Adriana: Look, I don't know the real reason why you and mom didn't get married, but I know she still cares about you.
David: Is that why I'm sitting in the dirty diner on the wrong side of the tracks on Christmas Eve?
Adriana: You know, instead of wallowing in your misery, you might want to take advantage of the season.
David: Ho, ho, ho. How's that?
Adriana: Fine. Be pathetic. It's up to you. If you want to sit alone in an empty diner eating Christmas cookies, be my guest.
David: There's Christmas cookies?
Viki: Cristian, hello.
Cristian: Mrs. Davidson.
Viki: I'm sure you're aware that Natalie's in a very emotional state right now. She was very nearly killed in that prison riot. And then the shock of finding out that you were alive --
Cristian: Is she all right?
Viki: She won't let anyone see her cry, but I have watched her sleepwalk through her life the last week. She's just going through the motions.
Cristian: I -- I thought I was doing the right thing -- for her sake.
Viki: I know. Cristian, I can't even imagine the horrors you lived through in prison. And I know that you have a very difficult road ahead of you. And if it were me, I guess I'd want to pick up my old life right away. But that's not going to be possible. Not now. Especially not for Natalie. You have to give her time. You have to give them all time.
Cristian: Thank you.
Michael: You did good. I hope you know that.
Evangeline: For a moment there, I thought world war iii was about to break out.
Michael: No. It was perfect.
Evangeline: You know, it's been so crazy, I haven't had a second to think. Now, I remember why I started this in the first place. Regardless of what happens with Natalie, this is where Cristian belongs. Home, with his family.
Rex: Tree's lit. Want to go back to my loft, watch Jimmy Stewart movies?
Natalie: You know what I wish? I wish that everyone would quit treating me like I'm going to break into a million pieces.
Kevin: How you holding up, sis? Hmm?
Natalie: I'm fabulous. And why wouldn't I be? I mean, the tree's lit. Dad told me you two are engaged. Jess is pregnant. And the man who broke my heart came back from the dead, complete with his very own cheering section. Merry freakin' Christmas to me!
Adriana: Thank you for bringing Cristian home to us.
["The first noel" plays]
Duke: Hey, everybody.
Duke: Uh -- have you guys seen Adriana?
Kelly: I think she went to the diner.
Duke: Thank you.
Kevin: Wait, hold on, son.
Duke: No time, dad. I'll catch you later. Bye, grandma.
Kelly: So what about you? You want to get going?
Kevin: I want to make sure my sister's ok first.
Natalie: Did you know that Cristian was going to be here tonight?
Natalie: Well, nothing much shocks me these days.
John: You don't have to try and be so tough all the time.
Natalie: What's wrong with being tough? It gets me through the day.
John: Does it?
Natalie: My life, my problem.
Michael: Natalie. How's it going?
Natalie: How do you think? You know what? Don't even start, Michael. I've gotten enough help from the Mc Bain brothers. I'll do this on my own.
John: Good job.
Marcie: Cristian looks exactly like he did before, but nothing's changed.
Evangeline: Everything's changed. Don't let the haircut fool you.
Hugh: Nicely played, counselor.
Evangeline: What are you talking about?
Hugh: Oh, high drama, the prodigal son falsely accused, freed by his avenging angel -- you. And delivered to his loving family at the stroke of Christmas, conveniently in front of the whole town.
Evangeline: I didn't plan this. Why would I?
Hugh: Are you kidding? It is a powerful statement of legal prowess. I got to give you props. Any jury member in Angel Square tonight is going to be a big-time handicap.
Evangeline: Wow. You really are cynical.
Woman: Evangeline Williamson?
Woman: You're the attorney who got Cristian Vega's conviction overturned, right?
Reporter: Mr. Vega confessed. What inspired you to take another look at his case?
Evangeline: Uh --
Antonio: Este es tu tio.
Cristian: You probably don't remember me. You were just a little baby the last time I saw you. I hear you like to paint.
Cristian: So do I. Maybe we can paint something together. Would you like that?
Cristian: Is it ok if I give you a hug?
Reporter: Cristian --
Reporter: Tell us, what's life at Statesville really like?
Second reporter: How does it feel to be a free man?
Reporter: "Good"? After all that time in prison?
Cristian: Great. It feels great. I'm happy to be home -- and looking forward to getting my life back on track. But I wouldn't be here if it weren't for Evangeline Williamson. She saved me.
Reporter: Let's get a picture of the Vega family by the statue, huh?
Second reporter: Isn't it true you're the sculptor of the angel in Angel Square?
Cristian: That's right.
Reporter: Get the lawyer in the shot.
Carlotta: Please, Evangeline? He wouldn't be here without you.
Evangeline: Uh -- ok.
Reporter: Wait, there's someone missing. Natalie. Can't have a family photo without Mrs. Vega in it, huh?
Adriana: Didn't have any trouble getting in? No bursting into flames?
Rex: I have a temporary stay, it being Christmas and all. How'd you know I was here?
Adriana: Just knew. Did you follow me?
Rex: No. Believe it or not, I had a few things to talk over with the big guy myself.
Adriana: Since when?
Rex: Matthew gave me a few pointers when Bo was in surgery. And you gave me a kick in the butt. So it worked. Who knows? Maybe I'll end up going to priest school.
Rex: I can see it now -- "Pope Rex I."
Adriana: Yeah, right.
Rex: Unless you can give me a good reason not to.
Jack: Mommy, can we go swing?
Blair: Sure, as long as your big sister keeps an eye on you.
Starr: Last one there's a rotten egg.
Blair: Hey, hey, hey, you guys, be careful! It's slip-- why do I even bother?
Spencer: There's nothing like a swing set to distract a couple of worried kids.
Blair: Yeah. Why are you doing this? Why are you helping us?
Spencer: I like you. And I really don't have a lot of friends in this town, I guess.
Blair: Oh, no kidding. The way David and Dorian talk, you're some egotistical jerk with a God complex.
Spencer: Really? Is that what they say?
Spencer: What do you think?
Blair: Hmm. I think that with that smooth exterior, there is a serious edge inside. You've probably done a few things that you're not proud of.
Spencer: Yeah, it's called living.
Spencer: Mm-hmm, that's right. Does it scare you?
Blair: No. In fact, I've done some things myself that I'm not too proud of. I'd actually like to erase it, but -- I don't know -- I -- I like complicated men. I'm going to marry one.
Dorian: Blair, there you are.
Blair: Hello, Dorian.
Dorian: Excuse me. But, darling, if I were you, I would take the children and go home as soon as possible, before this man destroys your holiday, as definitively as he did mine.
[Christmas music plays]
Reporter: Mrs. Vega, we need you --
Clint: All right, leave my daughter alone. She doesn't want to be photographed.
Cristian: Leave her alone. You know what? Forget this picture. I'd like to spend time with my family, not pose for cover stories.
Viki: I'm sorry, darling.
Clint: Yeah, so am I, but you're fair game standing out here, honey. Why don't you come to the house with us?
Natalie: There's something I have to do first.
Clint: Are you sure?
Viki: Darling, if you need anything --
Natalie: I'm fine.
Kevin: We can stay.
Natalie: Go, Kevin. Please. Excuse me.
Kelly: Come on, let's go.
Viki: I'll see you guys soon, all right?
Kevin: All right, I'll see you later.
Clint: All right, now, watch your step, all right?
Viki: I'm perfectly capable of walking on my own. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I just want to go home.
Michael: Boy, that Cristian Vega -- he's got some nerve.
John: Cut him some slack, Michael.
Michael: Cut him some slack? He killed Tico Santi. I almost lost my job. He put you in danger, he put Natalie in danger. You'd think the guy would have the decency not to turn Christmas Eve into the Cristian Vega show.
John: I don't think that's what he wanted.
Michael: Yeah? Well, whether he wanted it or not, he's sure leaving his mark on the holidays.
Natalie: You didn't have to defend me to that photographer. I can take care of myself.
Cristian: I know that.
Natalie: And we already have the divorce papers. If you've signed them, I'd like to get them filed before the New Year. You know, new beginnings. Fresh start and all that.
Natalie's voice: I love you, Cristian. With all my heart and soul.
Cristian: And I love you, Natalie. I always will. And I'm going to spend the rest of my life making you as happy and as proud as I am today.
Cristian: I'm not signing them. Not tonight, not ever.
( Dance music playing )
Nash: To the future.
Tess: To our future.
Tess' voice: When I look at you, I see my future.
Nash's voice: You know, I want you to know that I will do anything and everything I can to make you feel safe and to make you feel loved.
Tess: I love you more than anything, and I would do anything for you.
Kelly: Is everything ok with your mom and dad?
Kevin: My mom is acting a little strange.
Kelly: Is it Niki?
Kevin: Oh, no, no, I don't think so. It's weird, though, you know? I've never seen them act like this since their divorce.
Viki: That was Jessica. She's going to spend the night with Antonio and Jamie, but she's going to come by here first.
Clint: She's coming for Christmas dinner?
Viki: Yeah, she's planning on it.
Clint: Viki, what's going on?
Viki: What do you mean?
Clint: You're obviously bothered about something.
Clint: Is it Dallas?
Clint: Listen, I just chased the woman I love back to London. I can't stand to have you angry with me, too, especially not tonight.
Viki: You're really upset about this thing with Dallas, aren't you?
Clint: Upset? Yeah, I'm upset! I loved her. I spent the past six years with her. She was the whole world to me. I don't want it to be over.
Viki: Then why don't you go after her? Go home!
Clint: I can't leave here. I can't. Jessica needs me. Natalie, too.
Viki: Oh, please.
Clint: Come on, Viki, spit it out. We know each other too well to be acting this way.
Viki: Ok. I guess I'm just wondering where Dorian fits into all of this.
Spencer: It's nice to see you so full of the holiday spirit, Dorian.
Dorian: Oh, holiday spirit? You haven't even begun to see it.
Blair: Ok, ok, you know what? It is Christmas Eve. Spencer, would you mind? I'd like to have a little word with my sweet aunt Dorian.
Spencer: Not at all. I'll go check on the kids.
Blair: Thank you. Do you think that I'm stupid?
Dorian: No, I don't. But I think you've got a blind spot when it comes to men. In fact, I would even call it a death wish.
Blair: Dorian, I know who Spencer is. He's a man who was raised with a con man for a father.
Blair: His father had David and Spencer do his scams for him. He's turned his life around, though. Now he's saving people's lives.
Dorian: Right, and ruining them, as well.
Blair: I don't want to hear about how Spencer has ruined your and David's life, ok? All I worry about right now -- it's Christmas Eve and Todd is in a jail somewhere, in a cold cell. And I have to worry about whether I have to tell his children or lie to them about whether he's coming home or not.
Dorian: As far as I'm concerned, you're already lying to them.
Blair: Spencer's the only person who has stood beside me.
Dorian: That's because he wants to get you in bed!
Blair: Would you shut up! He does not. I've already talked to him about that. He knows that I'm in love with Todd.
Dorian: Blair, actions speak louder than words. I know you think you know all about Dr. Spencer Truman. He's counting on that, because then when you least suspect it, he's going to sneak in and pull the rug out from under you.
Blair: Oh, God. And where did that theory come from?
David: From experience. It's exactly what he did to us. We thought our wedding would go off without a hitch, and we all know how that turned out.
[Christmas music plays]
Natalie: I don't remember giving you an option.
Cristian: Look, I know you're angry with me. You should be. I made a lot of mistakes, did a lot of things that I wish I could do over again. But I'm not giving up on our life together.
Natalie: What life?
Cristian: "What life?" Our plans, all the dreams we had, things we talked about almost every night that we slept together. I can feel it like it was yesterday, Natalie. You know what, I felt it again the other day at the clinic when I kissed you. Look, I know you want to hate me. You're hurt, you feel betrayed. But I also know you remember those nights, and underneath all this anger and pain, you still want that future.
Natalie: I'm not taking these papers back until you sign them.
Cristian: You're going to be waiting a long time.
Natalie: What makes you think that you can just come back, on Christmas Eve no less, and expect me to fall right back into your arms?
Cristian: Because part of you wants that, too.
Natalie: You -- you know what, you can cut your hair and you can shave and you can buy new clothes, but you will never, ever be the Cristian I married. Never again.
Cristian: Damn it. I said leave us alone!
Hugh: You ready to go?
Marcie: Maybe I should go after her.
Hugh: No, she's had a rough night. Come on.
Marcie: You know what, can you give me one second?
Hugh: Yeah, sure.
Michael: Hey. Listen, about what we talked about earlier --
Marcie: Yeah, I -- I just wanted to say Merry Christmas.
Michael: Oh. Uh, Merry christmas.
Marcie: I'll see you later.
Michael: Yeah. See you later.
Antonio: Hey, don't worry about a thing, ok? I'll talk to the reporter, make sure he doesn't press any charges.
Cristian: I don't really care. I did what I came here to do, and now I'm going to go home.
Carlotta: I can't believe it -- my whole family together for Christmas morning. And even the new members we have to be thankful for.
Cristian: Wow, Jess, I didn't realize. Congratulations.
Tess' voice: Do you hear what I hear? Let me out, Jessica. Let me go back to Nash where I belong.
Jessica: We have to go.
Antonio: All right. All right, hang in there. Come on, Jamie, let's go, all right? I'll see you guys in a little bit, all right?
Natalie: Please just go away. I don't want to talk.
Evangeline: I didn't ask you to.
Natalie: What do you want?
Evangeline: Let's see -- you can't ask me to divorce you or quit my job. You can't slam a door in my face. The way I see it, I'm the only person you can't get rid of.
Adriana: Somehow I can't see you taking a vow of celibacy.
Rex: You know me so well.
Adriana: I should look for Duke. What time are you going over to Llanfair?
Rex: Oh, I don't know. Like I said, it's not really my thing.
Adriana: But Natalie invited you.
Rex: Natalie understands. She said it's ok if I skip it.
Adriana: Merry Christmas, Rex.
Rex: Merry Christmas, Adriana.
Roxy: Hey. I thought I saw you coming in here. And then I thought I was hallucinating. And then I realized that I was almost stone-cold sober . So I packed up a little bag and thought I'd come over here and say bon visage. You got a little going-away gift for me?
Rex: Yeah, here. Bet 17 black, keep the rest. Have fun.
Roxy: Santa baby. Merry Christmas, kiddo.
Rex: You, too, mom.
Roxy: All right.
Rex: All right, I'll fly solo -- this year. Next Christmas you owe me, dude.
Clint: What does Dorian have to do with anything?
Viki: Well, I heard you had a drink with her last night, and I saw you talking at the tree-lighting ceremony. It was all very cozy.
Clint: Oh, now, are you implying that Dorian and I --
Viki: I don't think that Dorian is the best person for you to be confiding in right now. God knows what she would do with any kind of sensitive information she might glean from what you tell her.
Clint: You asked her to bring out Niki Smith. It doesn't get any more sensitive than that. Viki, you're making a big deal out of nothing.
Viki: Fine, cool. No problem. I just want to warn you. You and Dorian together -- train wreck.
Clint: There is no "me and Dorian!" Not --
Viki: Do you know that David left her at the altar? And in some bizarre, Dorian-like way, she has rationalized that I left her there, too. And I personally think the only reason she's associating with you at all is to get even with David and me.
Clint: All right. What's my excuse?
Viki: I don't know. Maybe you're so deep-down angry with me for getting Dorian to bring out Niki Smith, that you're going out with Dorian to get back at me.
Kevin: Come on, I'll walk you home.
Kelly: No, wait, wait. Are you suggesting that we not spend the night together on Christmas Eve?
Kevin: No. No. I just thought since you had to get up in the morning and go to Dorian's, and Asa was expecting me --
Kelly: This is ridiculous.
Kevin: I'm still looking for a house for us.
Kelly: Yeah, but you're not going to find it tonight. And I want to wake up with you on Christmas and every morning after that. So, until we find our dream house, why don't you move in?
Duke: Adriana, hey.
Duke: Been looking for you all night.
Adriana: Oh, I went to St. Jude's to tell Father Gregory about Cristian.
Adriana: He wasn't there, so I just sat for a while. It was nice. I have so much to be thankful for this Christmas. Some people are not so lucky.
Duke: Hey, come on. Let's get out of here.
Natalie: You don't care how I feel.
Evangeline: Yes, I do. More than you know. And before you go off on me, I didn't help Cristian get out of jail for some kind of twisted revenge. I did it because it was the right thing to do. And as angry as you are at the world right now, some part of you knows that.
Natalie: Where's John? Thought you'd be all over him by now.
Evangeline: That's not my style. I'm not that pathetic. Natalie, I know you're hurting right now, and you have every right to be.
Natalie: Gee, thanks. That's a relief.
Evangeline: Cut the act, ok? I don't buy it. I'm too good at it myself.
Natalie: When I first saw Cristian tonight, standing right over there, I thought to myself, "what an incredibly beautiful man." Damn him. Damn all of you.
Evangeline: This isn't easy for him, either.
Natalie: Still defending him?
Evangeline: Transitioning back into society after being in prison -- it's very difficult. But Cristian is blessed. He has his whole family around to help him, and you have your family, Natalie. They want to help you. Just let them.
Natalie: You know what, I'll deal with this on my own. Believe me, alone is what I do best.
John: Hey, you want to grab us a table?
Michael: Wow. You always were a glutton for punishment.
John: Whatever. Buy you a cup of coffee?
Kevin: Uh, did I ask you to marry me yet?
Kevin: Uh-huh, and what did you say?
Kevin: Ah, the ring. Yes.
Kevin: All right, I'll move in.
Clint: Well, we are quite a pair. Jessica and Natalie are going through hell, and here we are fighting about Dorian Lord.
Viki: I'm very sorry. I was out of line.
Clint: Well, she has a tendency to do that to you. I was out of line, too. I'm sorry.
Viki: It's all right. Dallas hurt you. I get it.
Clint: You know, I'm going to call her in the morning. I'm going to try and work things out. I'm not going to give up without a fight.
Viki: Good, good. I have a lot of presents I still have to wrap, you know.
Clint: Separate corners, right?
Clint: That may not be a bad idea. I have a few errands to run myself. See you later.
Dorian: Well, I refuse to spend my Christmas Eve bullying people into doing what's best for them. If you choose to go down in flames, I'm going home. You two do whatever you like.
Blair: Goodbye. Merry Christmas.
Dorian: Goodbye. Merry Christmas to you.
David: Dorian, Dorian, wait.
Dorian: Wait, David? Wait for what?
David: It's Christmas. This isn't the way it's supposed to be.
Dorian: How did you think it was going to be, David, when you did what you did at our wedding?
David: Look at that.
David: That is mistletoe.
Dorian: David, that isn't mistletoe. It's a pine tree.
David: Where do you think mistletoe comes from?
Dorian: Mistletoe can grow on any tree. It's a parasite, just like you.
Blair: Whoa, you guys look like you're ready for a battle here.
Starr: Yeah, I know, it's stupid.
Jack: It's not stupid, it's fun.
Starr: Oh, yeah? Well, you better hurry up or I'm going to cream you.
Jack: Yeah, right, loser.
Blair: Ok, Starr --
Starr: Ha! Yeah, no way.
Blair: Be the good sister that I know you can be, and the perfect daughter, ok?
Starr: Mom, come on, help me. It's going to be girls against boys.
Blair: Oh, no, no, no, I'm going to -- I'm definitely going to sit this one out.
Starr: Oh, Jack? Oh!
Starr: Get out of here!
Blair's voice: "I keep thinking back to that beautiful night on the roof, after you found me in that asylum. The city lights, the stars, the air so warm on my skin. You told me that whenever I feel trapped I should remember that the whole world is out there at our fingertips. That's the memory that helps me get through tonight. I miss you so much. Two years in a row and we're apart at Christmas. But as far as I'm concerned, we'll always be together. I'll be looking at the stars tonight, the same stars that are shining down on you, Todd. And in my dreams we'll be in each other's arms, looking at those stars together."
Todd: "All my love, Blair."
Jamie: Santa Claus was here!
Jessica: Santa Claus really gets around.
Antonio: Well, you know. I also got us a bottle of sparkling cider. I had a bottle of red wine in my hand, but then I remembered.
Jessica: What'd you say?
Antonio: I remembered you couldn't drink.
Tess' voice: I'm not giving up, Jessica. Nash is coming back for me. We're going home to wine country. We're going back to our life.
Antonio: Hot chocolate?
Jamie: Yes, please.
Antonio: Ok. Baby, you ok?
Jessica: I -- it's Tess. I can -- I can feel her. She's under my skin, she's in my head.
Antonio: Hey, well, tell me what I can do to help.
Jamie: Can I open one? Just one?
Antonio: Just one? Go.
Jessica: That's exactly what's going to help. Ok, flip it over.
Carlotta: What can I get you?
Michael: Well, I don't think there's going to be any more bloodshed. Not tonight, at least.
Carlotta: You're in a good mood.
Michael: I don't know why, but I have a feeling that everything is going to be ok.
Cristian: Is this the part where you lecture me about not hurting Natalie again?
John: I'm the last person to be lecturing someone on that subject. You're doing the best you can, right? Same as me.
Cristian: If you're thinking of saying this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship or some crap like that --
John: Hell, no. It's just the beginning of another over commercialized holiday season that I wish would be over so we'd all get on with our damn lives.
Cristian: Now, that I can toast to.
Singer: O come, Emmanuel and ransom captive Israel that mourns in lonely exile here until the son of God appear rejoice, rejoice
On the next "One Life to Live" --
Evangeline: Who else besides you had a reason to want Margaret dead?
Spencer: Try not to think about Todd until after the holidays.
