Duke: Damn it.
Kevin: Hey, quarterly earnings aren't that bad.
Duke: No, it's not that.
Kevin: But something. I've noticed it the last couple of days. You know, I gave you some space. I figured if you wanted to talk, you would.
Duke: I think I've lost Adriana.
Dorian: Why, why, why? I set the timer, I followed the instructions, the oven heat was right. Hi, darling. Good morning. I wanted to have breakfast with you. I made a banana bread.
Adriana: It's burnt.
Dorian: Well, I can always cut off the top.
Adriana: I have to be somewhere.
Adriana: With my boyfriend.
Dorian: Ah. Which boyfriend?
Adriana: Ha. The only one I have.
Bo: How's Nora? Is she --
Spencer: Oh, she's -- she's sedated. We were able to stop the bleeding in her brain.
Bo: Oh, good.
Spencer: Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing how extensive the damage is. Now, if she wakes up --
Bo: Oh, wait, whoa. If she wakes up?
Spencer: Unfortunately, Bo, it's not a question of when. It's if.
Ginger: Dr. Truman?
Ginger: No way.
Blair: Oh, my God.
Todd: They find her?
Kevin: So, what about you and Adriana?
Duke: I said I wasn't going to do this.
Kevin: What, talk to your dad about your girlfriend?
Duke: And I'm not.
Kevin: So, what, is she backing off, or what?
Duke: Other way. Over the top trying to make up.
Kevin: Well, that's usually a good thing. Unless, of course, it's something that she can't make up for. Oh, come on, Duke, it can't be that bad. You care about her, she cares about you.
Duke: She called me rex in bed, ok? Yeah, that's right.
Kevin: Oh, she crossed the line, son.
Duke: Yeah. I crossed it back.
Kevin: You crossed it back? Look, whatever you said to her she deserved.
Duke: I told her she was no better than her mother.
Dorian: Well, thank you so much for gracing my home with your presence.
Kelly: I've been busy.
Dorian: Oh, really? Too busy to call me for two whole days? Would you like some -- no, I burnt that. I can make you some fruit salad.
Kelly: No, that's ok. I'm sorry if my life has gotten in the way of your plot du jour.
Dorian: Oh, wonderful. First my daughter, now my niece.
Kelly: What's going on with Adriana?
Dorian: I just -- I don't understand why all of my girls seem to be having this negative attitude towards me.
Kelly: Well, maybe it's because you try to control everyone's lives or maybe it's because no matter how wrong you are, no matter how clear it is to everyone around you, you are convinced absolutely 100% that you are right all the time about everything.
Dorian: Oh, really? And what am I supposed to do, just stand there while I see you all rushing to the edge of a precipice?
Kelly: Ok, I'm going to go now. I really can't take this after the scare with Addie and Blair and a gun.
Dorian: What do you mean? What scare with Addie? What gun?
Kelly: You haven't heard?
Dorian: No. Is Addie all right?
Kelly: Yeah, she's fine.
Dorian: And Blair?
Kelly: You obviously haven't seen today's paper.
Spencer: The next 24 hours are the most critical, and then if, in fact, she does wake up --
Bo: Yeah, but isn't there anything you can do until then?
Spencer: No, I don't think so. Best thing to do right now is just wait.
Bo: What if I go in there and I just sit down and I talk to her? Now, I've heard that's supposed to help.
Spencer: Well, it's debatable. There are conflicting theories on whether or not she can even hear you, much less process any information.
Bo: But it couldn't hurt.
Spencer: Well, as long as you're sure it's your voice she wants to hear.
Paige: You do whatever you think is best, Bo.
Spencer: Yeah, it's your call. I'm just trying to look out for my patient.
Paige: He just can't resist twisting that knife.
Bo: I know, I know, but you know what, he did save Nora's life.
Paige: Well, and now it is your turn to bring her back.
Bo: If I'm the one that can do it. I -- I can't even believe seeing her in here like that. She's always been full of life. You know, she's independent, she's stubborn. But now, it -- how am I going to tell Matthew that his mother may not wake up?
Paige: She might wake up. You hang on to that.
Bo: Look, honey, you're a doctor. You know just how bad things are. Now, what am I going to say to Matthew if she dies and I'm the one to blame for it?
Rachel: What? What did you just say? Mom?
Ginger: Whoa, Blair.
Ginger: What is going on with this guy and Blair?
Spencer: Can I help you?
Blair: Did they find who, Todd, Margaret?
Todd: Who else?
Blair: Dot you think they would've told us if they had?
Todd: Not if she's in a place like Djibouti.
Blair: I don't know where Djibouti is, but my booty is all over this rag.
Todd: Oh, forget this trash.
Blair: It's not funny.
Todd: "The Sun" runs a better smear than this.
Blair: Then how did it get out like that --
Todd: Those nuns.
Blair: That they found out that I pulled a gun in mama's room?
Todd: Those nuns at St. Ann's, they --
Blair: Bo said that he was going to handle it, Todd.
Todd: Right, nobody pressed charges.
Blair: He said they were going to keep a lid on it. Now it's everywhere. And you know, if Margaret's anywhere in the vicinity --
Todd: She isn't.
Blair: You don't know that, Todd. She's crazy, and if she finds out that -- I mean, if she sees that, she could come back here and it's all going to be my fault.
Todd: No, no, no, no. I want you to stop thinking about Margaret. She's never going to hurt us again. I give you my personal guarantee.
Dorian: Oh, dear. Blair shot off a gun in Addie's room at St. Ann's.
Kelly: Well, it was an accident. Bo tried to keep it quiet, but once the tabloids get ahold of a thing like that --
Dorian: And would you mind telling me why I was kept in the dark?
Kelly: Blair didn't want anyone to know. Can you imagine w horrible she feels?
Dorian: Oh, I would -- if only she had decided to share it with me.
Kelly: Can we please not make this all about you?
Dorian: Oh --
Kelly: And when you see Blair, how about a little support? How about we tone down this whole wide-eyed, freaked-out look we've got going on? So, why was I summoned?
Dorian: Because I believe that the women in my family have lost control of their senses.
Kelly: What have I done?
Dorian: Oh, please! How can you -- how can you even give him the time of day when he humiliated you in court, he stole your baby away from you, he seduced your cousin, and he nearly drove you to the bri of insanity?
Kelly: I really don't want to talk about this right now.
Dorian: Of course not because now you are considering having Spencer do a very risky surgical procedure so that you can conceive a child with that man! Please, honey, how can you possibly think about having Kevin Buchanan's baby?
Kevin: Adriana's a lot like Dorian. I've seen it myself.
Duke: Hey. I've insulted her enough, ok? I'm not going to stand here and let you do it, too.
Kevin: Ok. So you're not that mad at her?
Duke: I don't know, I don't know. I mean, Adriana's amazing, right? Ok. She's just -- she's different. She's different than the girl I first met.
Kevin: That's her problem.
Duke: Yeah, not mine at all, dad.
Kevin: Look, all I'm saying is if Adriana is acting like Dorian, that's not your fault, all right, especially if she's cheating on you with Rex Balsom.
Duke: She isn't, she isn't, ok -- at least as far as I know.
Kevin: Then why is she calling you by his name?
Duke: I don't know. She says she wants to stay with me.
[Knock on door]
Kevin: Hey, come back later! I'm busy!
Duke: No, it's ok. We're done.
Ginger: I know I probably shouldn't be in here --
Ginger: My bad. Oh, I know what this probably looks like. And the last time you saw me --
Spencer: The last time I saw you, you were stealing petty cash from Blair's office.
Ginger: Yeah, but I'm not stealing anything now.
Spencer: There's nothing to steal. They always tell you don't leave your valuables lying around in a hospital, don't they?
Ginger: Well, this is why I came back. It's to pay you back for the $40 you gave me at "Craze."
Spencer: Am I supposed to be impressed, ginger?
Ginger: Well, I owe you -- I mean, not only for helping me with the money, but for not ratting me out to Blair.
Spencer: Do you really think that $40 in babysitting change is going to repay me?
Ginger: What do you mean?
Spencer: Nothing. It's all right. I'm glad I could help you. Keep the money. I really don't need it.
Ginger: Interesting reading material for a surgeon.
Spencer: Not any more interesting than a thief and a liar going through my things.
Blair: I love you, Todd, but your personal guarantee that Margaret is not going to be a problem just doesn't cut it with me anymore.
Todd: You don't believe me?
Blair: I want to believe you, and I know you want me to believe you, but I can't -- not until you tell me that Margaret is dead and buried. Can you tell me that? No, I didn't think so. So why do you try to be a man of steel, huh? Just call the bodyguards back. We need them because, you know what, I'll lose it again. I'm sure that I will, and next time we just won't be as lucky.
Todd: That's what I'm trying to tell you. There's not going to be a next time.
Blair: Call the bodyguards or I will. Just why don't you go upstairs and take a shower, and I'm going to call David and have him find out which one of these editors did this. You know, editors aren't supposed to do this to other editors. Ok, well, you do, but I'm going to get to the bottom of this.
Todd: Huh. Revenge can wait. Why don't you join me in the shower?
Blair: No. You -- later. Just --
Blair: Dayton, Ohio, please. I'd like the number of a Margaret Cochran.
Ginger: What were you going to do with those pictures, anyway?
Spencer: Do you really want to take this even one step further?
Ginger: I care about the Manningís, and they've been through a lot.
Spencer: Oh, I see. And your point is?
Ginger: You have a thing for Blair, but you better leave her alone.
Spencer: Or what, Ginger? What are you going to do, huh? Are you threatening me? I certainly hope not. I mean, do you have any idea who you're dealing with?
Ginger: I think I'm going to go now.
Blair: Come on, Margaret, just answer the damn phone.
Woman's voice: The number you have reached has been disconnected.
Todd: What's that?
Blair: It's --
Blair: It's just a -- a number.
Todd: A number that you don't want to call or --
Blair: It's Margaret Cochran's number in Dayton, Ohio.
Todd you tried to call her?
Blair: Number's been disconnected.
Todd: Yeah, I know, that's -- she hasn't lived there in years.
Blair: Well, I was going to tell her if I got her that if she ever touches one of my children, I will kill her myself.
Kelly: So, Spencer told you about the procedure. That's great. So much for doctor-patient confidentiality.
Dorian: No, Spencer did not tell me.
Kelly: Well, Kevin certainly didn't. Kevin told you? Why would he do that?
Dorian: I ran into Kevin in Spencer's office.
Kelly: What were you doing in Spencer's office?
Dorian: Kevin was there because he wanted to confront Spencer about this risky surgery and -- I cannot believe I'm about to say this, but -- I admire Kevin for that.
Kelly: For protecting me or for trying to stop me from having a child with him?
Kelly: Oh, for God's sakes, this is unbelievable! I am just wanting to have a baby! Jeez!
Dorian: And risking your life in the process. Kelly, please, it's not worth the risk, believe me.
Kelly: It's not risky with Spencer's new procedure.
Dorian: Oh, come on! It's Spencer's new, experimental procedure, and, yes, there are risks. For crying out loud, do you really want Kevin's baby that badly?
Kelly: Well, it would halfway be mine.
Dorian: Oh, really? And then Kevin would be in your life forever. That is if you made it through the pregnancy without dying. Honey, please, please, I'm begging you, it -- do you really want to risk so much? Is it really worth it just to become a mother?
Kelly: Well, what about you, Dorian? Was it worth the risk to have your daughters?
Adriana: I was hoping we could talk in private, Duke, if that's ok.
Kevin: Fine by me.
Duke: Not by me.
Adriana: This is between us, D uke.
Duke: The way I see it, I don't know if there's anything between us.
Kevin: Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Just let him go, ok? Let him go for good.
Bo: Boy, I just keep stepping in it, don't I?
Paige: You have to stop blaming yourself.
Bo: Yeah, but look at Rachel in there right now. She's a grownup, you know? How's Matthew going to react?
Paige: It won't be easy, but he has a strong, loving, wonderful father who's going to be right there with him helping him through.
Bo: Now, what am I going to tell him, honey?
Paige: The truth. As much as he can handle.
Bo: But I don't even know what the truth is right now. Spencer, yeah, I mean, he doesn't have any answers yet.
Paige: How long are you going to wait?
Bo: God, I just wish I'd never even gotten in this argument with her.
Paige: You didn't cause her aneurysm.
Bo: I think I set it off.
Paige: She's been having symptoms for weeks.
Bo: How do you know that, though?
Paige: Well, you know, she's been having headaches, dizzy spells.
Bo: Yeah, I know that, but I thought they'd stopped. So do you know something I don't know?
Paige: Well, she told me that she'd been having some tests done.
Bo: And you didn't tell me?
Paige: She told me in confidence. I couldn't betray that.
Bo: Why not? You're not her doctor.
Paige: No, you're right, but she asked me not to tell you. I gave her my word . I'm sorry, I --
Adriana: I'm not going to give up on your son because you tell me to.
Kevin: You heard him. He doesn't want anything to do with you.
Adriana: Look, we may be having problems, but it doesn't mean we're over.
Kevin: Well, what does it mean when you call the--
Adriana: He told you that?
Kevin: Yeah, he told me.
Adriana: Well, I --
Kevin: "Well, I --" what? What, you couldn't help yourself, huh? Just couldn't help the way you felt a about Rex Balsom?
Adriana: I do not have feelings for Rex, ok? In fact, I can't stand him, and if Duke would only let me prove that to him --
Kevin: You know, you shouldn't have to prove anything to Duke. You know why? Because he's the most decent man I've ever met. I'm proud of him for that. And frankly, he deserves better.
Adriana: Better than a Cramer woman?
Kevin: Kelly's a Cramer.
Adriana: Hmm. Look how you treat her.
Kevin: You want to get Duke back? That's fine. I can't do anything about that. But I wouldn't expect much. He's got a lot of self-respect, you know, and I hope that he finds someone that respects him, too, someone who wants him and only him.
Ginger: Nice shot.
Paige: If you want to be angry at someone, fine. Let it be me, but I only did what I thought was best.
Bo: By not telling me that my son's mom may have an aneurysm?
Paige: I didn't know that. Even her doctors didn't know that yet.
Bo: But see, if I'd have just had an idea, even, then I would have understood why she acted the way she did and I wouldn't have argued with her the way I did.
Paige: And then she might have collapsed somewhere other than a hospital, where we could save her.
Bo: Yeah, but we don't even know if we can do that yet.
Paige: Bo, I love you. I am here with you. I am here with you and with Matthew. I am not going anywhere, as much as you may want me to right now.
Rachel: Do you think you could come sit with mom and me?
Paige: Oh, did you hear everything you wanted?
Spencer: Oh, no. Well, not everything.
Adriana: Look, I know you're sticking up for duke because you don't want to see him get hurt. I don't, either.
Kevin: Well, maybe you should have thought of that before you got involved with Rex.
Adriana: It was one kiss. And I was going to tell Duke about it, but then my mother --
Kevin: Your mother what?
Adriana: Forget it. I'm not going to discuss my mother with you.
Kevin: Oh, no, no, no, no, you finish what you started. What did your mother say to stop you?
Adriana: It was about Duke and you and the whole Buchanan family, but -- oh, wait a minute. I promised not to tell.
Duke: Ginger. Hey. Listen, don't take this the wrong way, but I sort of -- sort of need some down time, you know, on my own.
Ginger: Well, that's cool. I didn't mean to bother you. I just -- forget it.
Duke: Ginger, wait, hey. Are you ok?
Ginger: Something weird happened, and -- I saw your car out there, I just -- I don't want to unload on you.
Duke: No, hey, hey. What happened?
Ginger: This guy is hassling me.
Duke: Did you call the police?
Ginger: No, it's not like that. He's just this big shot. It's more of a power thing, but he's freaking me out.
Duke: Did he threaten you?
Ginger: He's too smooth for that. It's just weird, though, you know? Maybe you don't know. You come from a whole family of big shots.
Duke: Yeah. You know, half the time they scare the hell out of me.
Ginger: Thanks. I didn't think I'd be smiling so soon.
Duke: Yeah, same here. This morning's really sucked.
Ginger: You don't have to explain. I'll let you get back to your hoops.
Duke: You play?
Ginger: I used to, for J.V. I was too short to do any damage on varsity.
Duke: All right, show me what you got.
Ginger: All right.
Ginger: Oh. See?
Duke: Well, your form is all over the place.
Ginger: Tell me something I don't know.
Duke: All right, come here. Ok. All right, hold the ball.
Duke: All right, now keep your elbow in, all right, and just follow through, ok? Just hold it like that.
Ginger: Like this?
Dorian: I was not risking my life by being pregnant.
Kelly: Oh, no? Do you think Manuel Santi would have been happy to know that you were pregnant with his child and keeping it from him? He would have killed you the moment Adriana was born.
Dorian: I knew that I could outsmart him.
Kelly: You thought you could. But that is a lot riskier than me having some surgery, and I won't have to hide my child from its father.
Dorian: Not a bad idea.
Kelly: I'm not continuing this conversation. We shouldn't even be having it.
Dorian: No, we shouldn't, and I know the reason why you are upset. It's not at me. It's at Kevin, for telling me, but that just proves that he can't be trusted, just like you can't trust any of the Buchananís.
Kelly: I thought you just said you admire him.
Dorian: Oh --
Kelly: Why do you continue to trash the Buchananís?
Dorian: Oh, I could and have given you a list.
Kelly: And I don't want that list again. Just let me know. Is your wedding still on November 1?
Dorian: Yes, of course. Why?
Kelly: Because you might want to decide between now and then if you want me there.
Dorian: Oh, honey, please. You know I want you there.
Kelly: I'm going to go now. This has been lovely. I hope the rest of my day is as wonderful and uplifting.
Dorian: Kelly, I just want you to be happy, and safe.
Kelly: Well, sometimes being happy involves a few risks. You should know that better than anyone.
Paige: You literally just performed a miracle on Nora Hanen. Shouldn't you be off posing for a bust or something rather than lurking around, spying on your ex?
Spencer: A simple thank-you for saving Nora's life would suffice. Unless, of course, there's a reason you didn't want me to. Is that what's got you in such a mood?
Paige: Don't you start with me.
Spencer: Oh, I think it makes sense. And you could have Bo all to yourself. You wouldn't have to share him. In fact, you could have his son, too. I do remember the days when you wanted a child so very badly.
Paige: Oh, not with you.
Spencer: Of course not. But I have been thinking lately how nice it would have been to have an heir. David's not going to have one -- at least not with Dorian, anyway. Looks like I'm the end of the Truman line.
Paige: You know, I really don't have time for this.
Spencer: You don't have time for the person whose good word made you chief of staff?
Paige: I didn't ask you for that.
Spencer: So I recall. As a matter of fact, I recall everything you've ever said to me.
Paige: Why is it so important to you that I be chief of staff? What is in it for you? Are you telling me it has something to do with Bo?
Rachel: So anyway, my job is going great. Oh, dad's going to stop by after football practice. Oh, Evangeline, she came by to see you last night, but they're only letting family visit, so -- but she does send you her love. Oh, and you have me and Bo, and we're not going anywhere. I can't believe it's her. She's just lying there. I keep expecting her, you know, to get up and say "gotcha" or --
Bo: I know.
Rachel: Or something, Bo.
Bo: I know. It's not right.
Rachel: How much more is she going to have to deal with?
Bo: Rachel, I'm sorry I made it worse.
Rachel: It would be so easy for me to blame you right now.
Bo: You couldn't blame me any more than I'm blaming myself.
Rachel: Blame doesn't change anything, Bo. My mom's still -- there's so much I want to -- and I don't know when or if -- I -- oh, Bo, Matthew. We need her so much. I'm going to go, because I don't know if she can hear me.
Bo: I wish you'd told me you were sick, Nora. And I wish I could have helped you.
Todd: I just made life a living hell for the reporter who outed your story.
Blair: You did? What'd you do?
Todd: Well, he hadn't been paying his taxes.
Blair: How'd you find that out?
Todd: I didn't. I stuck Mc Nab from finance on him.
Blair: You mean Simon "take no prisoners" Mc Nab?
Todd: Yeah, our friend at "The Exposer" should be getting a call from the I.R.S. Tomorrow.
Blair: You are so bad.
Todd: I know. You love me that way, don't you?
Blair: Mm-hmm. Well, I guess I'm going to have to call David off of him, then. Good.
Todd: What's Vickers going to do, anyway? Badger him to death?
Blair: He hasn't lost that much of his edge.
Todd: What could he possibly do for you that I couldn't?
Blair: I'm almost afraid to ask.
Todd: Then don't.
Blair: You're scaring me, Todd.
Todd: I told you. Stop thinking about Margaret.
Blair: It's not about Margaret. I'm scared about you. What are you going to do? What did you do?
Todd: Oh -- I'm just handling things my way, and, you know, they're not always clean, but they're for us, for our benefit. It's not a bad thing, right?
Blair: We are going to be ok, aren't we?
Todd: Yeah. That's right. You believe that, for you, for me, for all of us.
Kevin: Look, if you know something about Dorian coming after me and my family, I want to know.
Adriana: It's not my mother, ok?
Kevin: Who, then?
Adriana: Sorry, can't.
Kevin: I thought you cared about Duke.
Adriana: I do.
Kevin: Well, if what you know affects him --
Adriana: No, what I know is that I want him back. I'm going to get him back, before I lose him for good.
Ginger: I've wanted this. I've wanted you, Duke.
Duke: I can't -- I can't do this.
Ginger: Why not?
Duke: I'd just be using you to forget. This is wrong. I -- I can't do this to you.
Bo: You need to get better, Nora, for Rachel and for Matthew. Your children need you. I'm not enough for Matthew. He needs his mom, too. I'm sorry, for everything.
Paige: Is it because of Bo, you coming here, insinuating yourself back into my life? Are you trying to tell me that this has something to do with Bo Buchanan?
Spencer: You mean, is it personal? Is that what you're asking?
Paige: Is it?
Spencer: I think your boyfriend needs you. We'll talk later.
Paige: Bo, are you all right? Oh.
Spencer: Hello, Blair?
Blair: Hi, Spencer.
Spencer: Yeah, I was just checking in, see how you were doing, see how the family was doing.
Blair: Um, we're doing fine. Guess you saw the morning paper today?
Spencer: No, I didn't. I've been in surgery all morning. Did something happen?
Blair: No, no. I thought something had, but, you know, it's just something I want to forget about, actually.
Spencer: Ok. Listen, the reason I'm calling, I have a list of psychologists that I thought might be useful. I thought Starr could use some counseling after all she's been through.
Blair: Well, that's very kind of you, Spencer, but Todd and I feel that we can handle this from home as a family.
Spencer: Uh -- ok, I see. Well, that's very admirable. I give you a lot of credit for that, holding it together the way you are.
Blair: Well, I am so not together. I'm just glad Todd's here to catch me when I fall. But thanks for calling, Spencer.
Spencer: Yeah. Ok, let me know if you change your mind about the therapists, all right?
Blair: Yeah, I'll give you a call if I need them. Thanks a bunch and I'll see you soon.
Spencer: Yeah. Sooner than you think.
Spencer: Well, Dorian. What brings you here this morning?
Dorian: This does.
Spencer: Am I supposed to understand what that is?
Dorian: Well, you should. It belongs to you. I made a copy of it, so don't even think about destroying it.
Spencer: All right. You got my attention.
Dorian: Good, because if you don't refuse to perform that very risky operation on Kelly, I'm going to go to the Buchananís and tell them that you're planning their demise.
Blair: Things are getting better, aren't they? Hmm?
Todd: Yes. And they're going to stay that way.
>> On the next "One Life to Live" --
Antonio: Lindsay, I've come for Jamie.
R.J.: Don't for one minute think that this is over.
Spencer: What makes you so sure the baby would be Kevin's?
Nash: I figured out why you wouldn't drink that wine last night -- you're pregnant.
Todd: I did something to Margaret.
